Rape Culture
 27 April 2019

End Rape Culture.Rape culture should end in India. Rape culture is an environment in which rape is prevalent and in which sexual violence against women is normalized and excused in the media and popular culture. Rape culture affects every woman. Rape culture affects every woman because it involves sexual violence, body objectification and use horrible language towards them.Every women and girl in India stay in the fear of rape. If a girl is raped, she is blamed for it. If a girl accuses a boy for raping her it is said to be that the girl provoked the boy to rape her. If there is nothing left to be blamed or accused then the topic shifts to the clothes the girl was wearing. She was wearing a burkha then she asked you to rape her, if she wore a skirt then she asked you to rape her, if she wears decent clothes without revealing anything that means she asked you to rape her. Then when the girl is raped, she is said not to say anything about it or if she does, she would be hung to death.I mean why is our society like this literally why? Its very hard to understand the society at times because its horrible how they treat rape victims and how they just blame them for everything that happen with her. I mean at the time she needs the support of her family, of people around her but they turn in to the society I mean the evil people of the society. It’s never too late to stop the rape culture. The girls cannot live their life freely because they have to limit their behaviour in the society so that they do not provoke any men to rape them. This is way too much for them. There is no problem in the girls or their behaviour but there is too much of problem in the people of the society’s thinking. Being girl would also make me a mother in future when that time comes. I never want my child or my kid whatever you call it to grow in such society where the girls are the victims and instead of making them feel better, they are blamed for everything. If I have a girl child, I would never let her grow in such a surrounding and if a I have a boy, I hope it does not be like the people in the society. I hope time changes and the thinking of the people as well as the society changes.~By. Saloni Maliwal

Social Taboo : Termite to Society
 29 January 2019
Art

In today’s era when we talk about equality and stability with the help of technology, system, same time many things still prevailing as it is.We don’t see much changes in society from certain angle. There are people who still want to be with old notions and beliefs. As far as it doesn’t harm anyone’s feelings is ok. But sometimes situations occurs where either or things one has to choose and at that time practical approach is needed.Indeed many things is changing and that shows positive signs in society. Many ways women’s are equal to men. They also do the same which men do. Woman shown their shining side in all fields of life. Many ways they become true achiever. When we look back in to history lady like Rani Laxmibai shown her strength for nation. Same way Kalpna Chavla, Sunita Williams also proven themselves. As a responsible person of society we have to be proud of them. But irony is remain still there. One side women is becoming more and more powerful in all sectors, at the same they face social taboo like woman have to be good looking and physical feet.In today’s time every woman is becoming fashion trended. There is nothing wrong in this, but when it becomes social pressure then it’s wrong. In our society when girl become 13 or 14 years mothers start to give tips on different topics. As far as own hygiene is concern yes every one should but that doesn’t mean to spend long time in parlour. At the age of 15/16 with the body changes if girls have hair on legs or arms, mummy or friends will not see her with respect. In some case classmates will gossip about this. Why girls have to go for facial, body Hari Removing on regular bases. Why can’t they choose to take liberty on that. Yes from the hygiene aspect it’s good but that should not be possessive. Along with this now woman/girls are becoming conscious about their look also. There is a taboo that woman should look good and sexy. Practically speaking what the need to look sexy. It’s a wrong notion that make up makes woman more glamorous. In accent time without these all products woman were having lust and beauty. Mostly importantly woman themselves don’t want to talk about this. They feel embarrassed if hair growth is there or face is not looking good.Recently during discussion one of the friend said to her friend that how can you openly talk about physicality and physical intimacy. Don’t you think it’s wrong ?What’s wrong in this. Why can’t anyone talk openly about this ? Land who gave knowledge about “Kamasutra”, on that land now people are hesitant to talk about this. Yes but this the same land where day by day rap cases are increasing. In school we need to have sex education not just to have it but with serious concerns.I think still there is time to come out from this all and work upon our social taboo. Who can able to do this they can change life.As a woman we need to come out from this taboo and work towards our betterment.#Hitakshi

Bhagavad Gita Verse 3.9
 15 September 2019

Sacrifice Your Ego - In Gita Verse 3.9 Work done as a sacrifice for Viṣṇu has to be performed; otherwise work causes bondage in this material world. Therefore, O son of Kuntī, perform your prescribed duties for His satisfaction, and in that way you will always remain free from bondage.Krishna’s this word are wonderful, it says that we always try not to act because we have got fear of creating bondage from our action. It is very easy for us to go into such excuses for not doing our act, whenever we have to take any action at that time we have a choice how to act from our subjectivity, which will release us from all the bondages. We are unable to see this opportunity as we never live consciously. We always like to follow others. If our action comes from subjectivity then the same action will become Sacrifice for Vishnu, Universe. When we choose to take action from our subjectivity it needs courage and responsibility towards ourselves. When we take our own responsibility indirectly we drop to follow anyone. We drop our cowardliness. We drop our personality. Person who don’t want to act from his subjectivity he is coward and person who choose to act from his subjectivity he is courageous and individual. Individual has courage to live in unknown and unknowable. He is not demanding. He just live as per the present moments demand. He is not judgemental. He is prayerful but not demanding. Demand comes only when we create resistance to act. Our resistance to respond in the present moment is nothing but our ego, which wants to follow someone. When we become follower we are entering into bondage. In my blog Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.9, I have mentioned how Gaur Gopal become individual. He had all the temptation to follow the family and society, but he stood up as individual to take sanyas and not only that after his sanyas he is guiding many people to live as individuals. This is real Sacrifice to Vishnu, Universe. If he would have followed the family members advise or society he would have created bondage.Your bondage is yours, how can my truth cut your bondage? You have created your bondage out of your ignorance, you have to create your own liberty out of your realization of truth. Nobody else can liberate you. Only you, and only you.So what is bondage? – bondage is something which you have to do as an obsession, as a compulsion. You never wanted to do it and you have to do it. You have to go against yourself, whatever it is, it is a bondage. If you are just floating and it is what you always wanted to do with your total heart, your total being, it is freedom. What Krishna says to Arjuna that right now due to your own ignorance you want to act which will create nothing but bondage. If you wake up and look from your own self suddenly you will realize that you have courage to act from your subjectivity. It will liberate you. It will be the real Sacrifice that you will be offering to Vishnu, Universe. Because you have kept your ego, your personality, your image to the society everything on the stack. It is easy to become part of the society and get into the rut; it is difficult to get out of it. And once you are in a rut, you start becoming afraid. What will happen if you get out of it? You will lose money, you will lose this, you will lose that. But you are losing your life all the time.Life should be the supreme value. Nothing should be put above life. Krishna call a man religious who puts life as the supreme value, and sacrifices everything to life, and never sacrifices his life to anything.Never sacrifice your life for anything. Sacrifice everything for life. Life is the ultimate goal: greater than any country, greater than any religion, greater than any god, greater than any scripture, greater than your desire. But nobody is going to say that to you, no leader is going to say that to you because then their whole business is gone. No priest is going to say that to you because then their whole business is gone. If you understand Krishna well, then become part of the society. You are part of the society; do only that which is needful, but never get lost.Krishna is saying to Arjuna that you have lost in the society just for getting some kind of recognition. Realize this, Sacrifice everything for Life. in nutshell Sacrifice your ego for everything.

Review on the movie - Dangal
 20 April 2018

'Dangal' in hindi, but you can call 'Wrestling' in English. We all are wrestlers in real life, coz we fight with our fears, failures, we fight for our dreams, success, we fight for our love, our near ones, dear ones & much more. Wrestling is not so easy, one has to put in hard efforts, one has to give away sleep & work dedicately towards the goal. The journey is painful & their is always learning in each small step that you take towards your goal. It really needs a big heart to give away entire time & life for shaping the career & moulding it into the finest piece. No other can do that for you except our parents. We at times do question them, we doubt them , we blame them, but the fact is , whatever little they had, they spend that little on us. In todays scenario a child often forgets the pain that parents took to upbring them. No other can trust you as much as our parents does & no other can motivate us except our parents. Even if the entire world is against us, we have parents who stand firm with us. We should always be kind, grateful, thankful & shld show our respect by showering our love & care towards them. The other fact of the society is male dominating, inspite of being educated. We give more encouragement to son in sports or any other field & less to girls. The state fund raised for girls in sports shld be easily approved & available but this corrupted ppl eat funds & fill their own pockets. Girls need to fight with the society & ppl around to prove that they are not less then boys & thoughts towards them are wrong & has no base. Girls are not only born to get marry & do household cores. Parents must take initiative to make their daughter realise of their own worth, potential & value. I salute to the parents who encourages their daughters into sports, singing, dancing or any other field. I feel proud to see parents fighting for the daughters for their rights & equality. The movie emphasis on the thoughts of the society towards girls whether its sports, whether giving birth to girl child etc etc. If given opportunity girls can be much better than boys & we can shape their career, passion & their life. The movie is humorous, it has drama, it has fun, aggression & passion for sports & it has undying spirit of hope & a strong message to the society 'Let her Live' & she can do wonders & create history. The movie is awesome & aamir was superb with his role of being father of two proud daughters geeta & babita. Our society needs more such inspiring father to create more such stories. I give 4.5 star to this movie. Do go & watch & be wrestler to cope up with your life...😊

Bhagavad Gita Verse 3.2
 8 September 2019

Approval - In Gita Verse 3.2 My intelligence is bewildered by Your equivocal instructions. Therefore, please tell me decisively which will be most beneficial for me.Arjuna in this verse by using the word intelligence he means mind.Every one of us has memory that when we want to hide our ignorance we use very impressive words.Right now Arjuna want to play hide and seek with Krishan. He uses the intelligence so that Krishna might think that it’s wisdom. But always remember nobody can misguide your wisdom but anyone can misguide and make you bewildered your mind. What is the difference between "Mind" and "Wisdom."Your mind is constantly projecting - projecting itself. Your mind is constantly interfering with reality, giving it a color, shape and form which is not its own. Your mind never allows you to see that which is; it allows you to see only that which it wants to see.Just a few years ago, scientists used to think that our eyes, ears, nose and our other senses, and the mind, were nothing but openings to reality, bridges to reality. But within twenty years - the last few years - the whole understanding has changed. Now they say our senses and the mind are not really openings to reality but guards against it. Only two percent of reality ever gets through these guards into you; ninety-eight percent of reality is kept outside. And the two percent that reaches you and your being is no longer the same; it has to pass through so many barriers, it has to conform to so many mind things, that by the time it reaches you it is no longer itself.Wisdom means putting the mind aside so that it no longer interferes with reality and you can see things as they are. Why does the mind interfere at all? - because the mind is created by society. It is society's agent within you; it is not in your service, remember! It is your mind but it is not in your service; it is in a conspiracy against you. It has been conditioned by society; society has implanted many things in it. It is your mind, but it no longer functions as a servant to you; it functions as a servant to society. If you are a Christian then it functions as an agent of the Christian church, if you are a Hindu then your mind is Hindu, if you are a Buddhist your mind is Buddhist. And reality is neither Christian nor Hindu nor Buddhist; reality is simply as it is. And you have to put these minds aside: the communist mind, the fascist mind, the Catholic mind, the Protestant mind....There are three thousand religions on the earth - big religions and small religions and very small sects and sects within sects - three thousand in all. So there exist three thousand minds, types of mind - and reality is one, and God is one, and truth is one! Wisdom means: put the mind aside and watch. The first step - love yourself - will help you tremendously. By loving yourself you will have destroyed much that society has implanted within you. You will have become freer from the society and its conditioning. And the second step is: watch - just watch. Buddha does not say what has to be watched - everything! Walking, watch your walking. Eating, watch your eating. Taking a shower, watch the water, the cold water falling on you, the touch of the water, the coldness, the shiver that goes through your spine - watch everything, today, tomorrow, always.A moment finally comes when you can watch even your sleep. That is the ultimate in watching. The body goes to sleep and there is still a watcher awake, silently watching the body fast asleep. That is the ultimate in watching. Right now just the opposite is the case: your body is awake but you are asleep. Then you will be awake and your body will be asleep. The body needs rest but your consciousness needs no sleep. Your consciousness is consciousness; it is alertness, that is its very nature. When we or Arjuna want to hide our ignorance we are only fooling ourselves. We will realize only through our watchfulness towards ourselves. When Arjuna is saying to Krishan “tell me decisively which will be most beneficial for me” - he says that please approve my mind.

Individualism vs. Collectivism
 16 May 2018

A few days back I read once again Ayn Rand’s Fountainhead, when I had read it earlier as a school going child I had not understood it at all. I had found it silly and boring; the old copy was still lying in the corner of my father’s bookshelf. My hand stretched involuntarily to pick up the yellow-paged old book a few days back. I started reading it late in the evening and kept at it into the night to finish in a readathon (like marathon) manner. This time I saw the book anew. It was fresh and ringed of issues and thoughts which are relevant even today, as they were at that time, in 1957, and I think they will be still relevant for years to come. The Russian immigrant writer was strong-willed, intelligent and years ahead of her time. The philosophical novel which she wrote then invited much criticism but soon it gained lots of popularity and sold millions of copies.  I feel the story of the protagonist though larger than life, why I am saying larger than life as the feelings, conditions, the circumstances which he goes through are little hard to find in today’s world. Many people go through times when they have to succumb to societal pressures, make deal with their ideas, priorities and sooner or later they do it for the sake of their family, friends, careers and what not. But Fountain head’s hero is not ready for a compromise. Not as a student, never as a professional. He is at war with the complete society. He does not give up even after being jobless, alone and broke. It is an amazing read, and I will not venture further. Those who have read it will understand the points which I have mentioned. Those who have not read it, I suggest should read it.Here I want to draw out the philosophy of Fountainhead. Ayn Rand supports individualism on the face of collectivism. It is hard to digest for an Indian, as all other societies but predominantly Indian’s have always been supporting collectivism. We have been always taught to sacrifice, bend, compromise for the sake of family, society, organization and many more. As psychology says a man is a social animal and likes to live in groups. Since the period when a man was a caveman he learned a lesson that if he has to survive then he should live in groups, otherwise he does not have a chance in front of the wild animals. The lessons taken in the jungle worked wonderfully till man dwelled in a cave. It gave him security, protection, recognition, power and many more. But once the wheel was made, the fire was ignited, mines were dug, and houses were constructed things changed. The civilized world came into being, with it came rules and regulations.  Discipline was ingrained and customs and traditions became prevalent and then staunch for the smooth running of the society. But, then it was possible for a man to live independently, think independently and work also. When I say independently it does not mean, to live like Robinson Crusoe alone on an island with no contact with the world. That is something totally different; it is a disorder if you choose to do it while living in this usual friendly world. When I say think independently means to take certain decisions, which could be distinct, advanced and revolutionary. It may not fit in with the run of the mill, prevalent set of thinking or working culture of a particular society. But if an individual finds it correct, if he or she has complete faith in his work, concept, project or whatever decision he or she has taken then that individual should go ahead with it with complete confidence. In short ‘dare.’In our own country, India and a huge list of foreign countries we have examples wherein we can see that since time immemorial society has ridiculed, tortured, outcasted individuals with advanced ideas which were completely strange, foreign to that generation. There is a long list, right from Galileo, the Wright Brothers, Edison, Marie Currie, Edward Jenner and many more had to go through great pains and efforts to make people realize the importance of their work. In India as well there have been many great men and women who have been educators, reformists, social workers, businessmen whose work was at first trashed but later on understood and hence accepted by people. Why is it so that people are not ready to accept anything new? I think one of the problems which I can perceive lies in the psyche. We humans or even animals get conditioned to a certain routine, habits, weather and almost everything. If we are doing a certain chore every day, or we have been listening about a certain notion over the years, coming down from parents, grandparents and so on; then our mind and even our body accept it without any resistance. In other words, we can say this is the training of a kind. Our body and mind get prepared to see and then accept certain things in a certain way. As in Fountainhead, the Americans of that time were used to see and hence build completely orthodox, conformist kind of buildings which is why they were not liking and hence opposing the innovative ideas of Howard Roark. Some are so influenced by a certain style of living, that they get upset and so angry and jealous to see innovation. Sometimes, these sensitive minds can see or judge that the idea in front of them is fantastic but they are not willing to change, they do not want to come out of their comfort zone. Here again, I will give an example of the manipulative journalist Ellsworth Toohey of Fountainhead. Just because he didn’t appreciate or understand Roark’s independent thinking, his revolutionary ideas, Toohey tried his level best to finish Roark. In the real world also, where we dwell, there are certain elements like Toohey who do not welcome fresh ideas. But I firmly believe that if we look at today’s world analytically, the progress which it has made in leaps and bounds is because of a germ of an idea, vision, a dream seen by an individual. It is very rare that a dream is carried forward by a society as a whole.  It is always initially an individual dream, may be taken up by the society much later. If the individual manages to convince the society of his dream then it propels into a nationwide, statewide revolutionary idea, but never in the beginning. With assurance, I say that individualism, (as in liberty to try new things, set on a new path, try new ways at looking at this good old world) is much greater and better way of living. It should be allowed, helped, propagated and seen as navigators of the progressive world. Collectivism may have helped us in certain situations; where great upheaval is required to turn the old world structure into a new one. But here, I must point out; even this great revolution is always started by one man, one situation. To be always be trapped in the shackles of society’s beliefs, their likings, their fears, their conceptions or misconceptions, how far one can carry this heavy load. There will always come a time when one would like to dump the load and think and move freely.  After all, we are genetically distinct from the sheep which follows each other with precision. We are at the peak of the ecosystem because of the structure of our brain. This boiling pot requires fresh ideas for sustenance, as only change is constant and always needed. A caterpillar which is green colored transforms into iridescent blue and does not stay green.By Anuradha Singh.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 3.11
 17 September 2019

Emptiness - In Gita Verse 3.11 The demigods, being pleased by sacrifices, will also please you, and thus, by cooperation between men and demigods, prosperity will reign for all.Krishna is saying to Arjuna that if you act from your subjectivity you will not be alone, many demigods will help you for this act. But if you are stuck in the objective world and want to act from objective world then you are alone, you will not get any support from demigods. When you act from your subjectivity you are connected with universe. You may feel that through your body you took action but at that time the whole universe has used your body for particular action. You are not alone, the whole is with you. Combination of your body and universe at that time carry that action. This action is for growth and benefits of everyone around you.We are not familiar with our subjectivity, we are only familiar with our objective world, we feel that when we are in objective world we are together. This is the illusion we have as we are not introduced ourselves with our subjectivity. Our subjectivity is very alive, full, whole. During the day many times we have realized that some kind of emptiness in us. This is our subjectivity, we get scared as we are not familiar with that emptiness. This is our connection with the universe. But as we are only familiar with objective world we feel that emptiness is alone. But it is not true.Once you recognized it, become familiar with it then - Slowly slowly, you see that emptiness is not just emptiness; it is fullness, but the fullness of which you have never been aware, a fullness of which you have never tasted. So in the beginning it looks empty; in the end it is full, totally full, over flowingly full. It is full of peace, it is full of silence, it is full of light. There are only two ways of living in life. One is to live it from the very core of your being, from your subjectivity — that has been the way of the mystics. Meditation is nothing but a device to make you aware of your real self, your emptiness — which is not created by you, which need not be created by you, which you already are. You are born with it, you ARE it! It needs to be discovered. If this is not possible, or if the society does not allow it to happen…and no society allows it to happen, because the real self is dangerous — dangerous for the established church, dangerous for the state, dangerous for the crowd, dangerous for the tradition — because once a man knows his real self, he becomes an individual. He no longer belongs to the mob psychology; he will not be superstitious, and he cannot be exploited. He cannot be led like cattle, he cannot be ordered and commanded. He will live according to his light, he will live from his own inwardness. His life will have tremendous beauty, integrity. But that is the fear of the society.Take the example of Guru Gobind SIngh - Guru Gobind Singh gained great stature as both saint and soldier. He was also an intellectual and wrote many powerful spiritual compositions that infused a martial spirit in the people. After Gobind Singhji’s father was publicly beheaded in Delhi on November 11, 1675 under the instructions of the then Mughal ruler Aurangzeb for refusing to convert to Islam. To save his Sikh community from compulsory conversion of Islam, he become fighter, with the awareness of his true self and connection with his subjectivity. How the universe wants to use our body leave that decision to the universe, but be alert about your connection with your subjectivity. Guru Gobind SIngh become individual by self-alertness.Integrated persons become individuals, and the society wants you to be non-individuals. Instead of individuality, society teaches you to be a personality. The word ‘personality’ has to be understood. It comes from a root, ‘persona’ — persona means a mask. The society gives you a false idea of who you are; it gives you just a toy, and you go on clinging to the toy your whole life. The one way is to live through meditation — then you live a life of rebellion, of adventure, of courage. Then you really live! The other way to live, or to fake living, is the way of the ego — strengthen the ego, nourish the ego; so that you need not look into the self, cling to the ego. The ego is an artifact created by the society to deceive you, to distract you.By giving the example of Guru Gobind Singh every one of us got the idea that unless we are meditative and connected with our subjectivity we cannot respond to the present moment in the objective world.Krishna is saying Arjuna drop your ego, drop misery, so you can connect with your subjectivity your own Godliness and then this war for you instead of mundane will become assignment of Universe, and your body will be vehicle for the universe.

Safety of women is our moral responsibility
 10 April 2018

Girls should be Understood, Listen to them how they feel, Appreciate them the way they are, Be with them when they need you the most, Help them to overcome insecurity, In isolated place do take care if you find her trapped..But sad to it does not happen, coz we do not consider it as our moral responsibility to keep our girls safe.Society is male dominated, so we fail to see how girls actually suffer and go through pains in everyday of their life. Whether it’s standing alone for bus, at railway station, in school, colleges, at jobs, working in police or army, being a housewife or being a daughter in law.Girl goes through molestation & domestic violence, even by their near & dear ones whom they trust the most. Our society has created boundaries for a girl how to dress, how to go around, where to sit, when to talk, how much to study, when to get married & even her career path is decided by the parents or in laws if they allow her to work. Why can’t people be normal with girl’s behaviour? Everybody has their own brains & can distinguish between good or bad, between right & wrong, pro & cos of the action that they take. Why does our society teach girls all the times & not the guys to be decent with their acts?Even if we dressed up in jeans, suit or sari men still tend to see you from top to bottom like an x-ray machine, plz ask us how uncomfortable it feels to be there. Woman can’t even feed their babies in public coz it makes it awkward for her.In offices if you talk nicely with any guy, go for dinner or a cup of coffee, people start assuming that there is something fishy between the two & people start giggling, passing comment, rumours etc etc & makes hostile work environment for a girl to work. Educated people at good level entertain this sort of nonsense. If after office a girl miss the bus & a male colleague drop her at home, society people starts talking rubbish “raat ko late aatti hai, kitne ladko se chakkar hai” & try to spoil her image & name for no reason.Showing condolence with few incidents like rape, child abuse, teasing & molesting does not make sense, coz that is done to gain political vote, to be in limelight, or to increase your TRP & make money out of it.A coin has two side & society should learn to see both the side without being biased. #smblogcontest

Addiction and Alcohol
 17 November 2019

Addiction is the worst thing that could happen to a person. Any type of addiction is horrible, but the type of it I hate the most is alcohol. Alcohol can destroy generations of families and noone could do anything about it. That small glass bottle can harm and destroy any kind of relation. it also harms the person drinking or is getting addicted to it.Addiction is the most hardest thing get out. People think drinking will make them feel relieved and that is totally wrong. It also leads to the abasement of the addicted person. Noone would want that. People think only of enjoyment they would get, but not harm they or their loved ones would suffer from. It is so dangerous it had caused millions of deaths and infinite number of cracks in one's relation.I think people are becoming dumber day by day. Everyone just oversee this and casually try to change the topic. But now's not time to oversee this topic and forget about it. I see this as a major issue in society. People will suffer if this doesn't stop. I personally think that drinking alcohol or anything related to it should not be used. This will only bring suffering and disgrace to the society we live in.The harm of drinking alcohol on the body is also terrible. Liver bursts, high blood pressure and many mental illnesses can be caused by alcohol. Nowadays, you see more people in mental hospitals rather than their own homes. The only thing we should do is stop. Stop using alcohol in any way possible. It will have a great effect on this world and society which is facing problems and disgrace.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.56
 21 August 2019

Attachment - In Gita Verse 2.56 One who is not disturbed in mind even amidst the threefold miseries or elated when there is happiness, and who is free from attachment, fear and anger, is called a sage of steady mind.Krishna says once you become Pure Consciousness, you have transcended mind, become pure transcendental consciousness. In the middle of all the present circumstances and all the mind made misery there will be happiness, bliss. This will not make you hyper, anxious, but allow you to take action from your wholeness, universal - self. Which is not separate. Separation is our mind ego.Generally we all have a question - Are mind and consciousness separate things? Or is the silent mind, or the concentrated mind, what is called “consciousness”?It depends, it depends on your definition. But to me, mind is that part which has been given to you. It is not yours. Mind means the borrowed, mind means the cultivated, mind means that with which the society has penetrated you. It is not you.Consciousness is your nature; mind is just the circumference created by the society around you, the culture, your education.Mind means the conditioning. So, you can have a Hindu mind, you cannot have a Hindu consciousness. You can have a Christian mind, you can’t have a Christian consciousness. Consciousness is one: it is not divisible. Minds are many. Societies are many, cultures, religions are many and each culture, each society, creates a different mind. Mind is a social by-product. And unless this mind dissolves, you cannot go within; you cannot know what is really your nature, what is authentically your existence, your consciousness. To struggle for meditation is to struggle against the mind. Mind is never meditative and mind is never silent, so to say “a silent mind” is meaningless, absurd. It is just like saying “a healthy disease.” It makes no sense. How can there be a disease that is healthy? Disease is disease, and health is the absence of disease. There is nothing like a silent mind. When there is silence, there is no mind. When there is mind, there is no silence. Mind, as such, is the disturbance, the dis-ease. Meditation is the state of no-mind – not of a silent mind, not of a healthy mind, not of a concentrated mind, no. Meditation is the state of no-mind: no society within you, no conditioning within you – just you, with your pure consciousness.Who can be free from attachments:Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go.Less Pain and Suffering:Humans tend to hold on to things, but this futile grasping, this attachment, most often leads to pain and suffering. This is because we internalize possessions, relationships, or other objects of desire. Let me explain. Suppose I have access to something or someone from whom I derive pleasure, happiness, or some form of enjoyment, then suddenly this access is taken away. What happens? If we are attached, we suffer; we feel like we have been robbed. We feel like something that was once ‘ours’ is no longer. Hence, we suffer and experience pain.In Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.52, I have explained in detail what is pain, and how to transcend the pain by seeing everything as a whole and not in a compartmental way.The man who is not disturbed by the mind who can see everything happening as process and whole not as compartmental like seed, tree and seed. Then man will not be attached to anything. They will just become part of the universe and play its role. Like in the movie each actor will play their role to create the whole movie, same way to without giving any meaning of our knowledge and information or the objective world the person will take only to play their role in totality.Krishna is telling Arjuna to be total in his role towards war.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.31
 28 July 2019

Take Charge - In Gita Verse 2.31 Considering your specific duty as a kṣatriya, you should know that there is no better engagement for you than fighting on religious principles; and so there is no need for hesitation.Krishna is a person who lives into this world and taking all the responsibility - social and spiritual. What he says when we take birth we have social responsibility to fulfill. With the maturity, means through subjectivity. If he will not fight this war then may be for few years all these people will live but the message of the universe cannot be delivered. So all the future generations will know that how to run away from responsibility. You don´t understand even the meaning of the word responsibility. The society has been so cunning. It has destroyed our most beautiful words, given them distorted meanings. Ordinarily in your dictionaries "responsibility" means duty, doing things the way you are expected to do them by your parents, by your teachers, by your priests, by your politicians, by somebody else.Your responsibility is to fulfill the demands made upon you by your elders and your society. If you act accordingly, you are a responsible person; if you act on your own ― individually ― then you are an irresponsible person. And your fear is: in acting spontaneously, here and now, there is a danger ― you may start acting individually. What will happen to your responsibility? The fact is that "responsibility", the very word, has to be broken into two words. It means "response ability". And response is possible only if you are spontaneous, here and now. Response means that your attention, your awareness, your consciousness, is totally here and now, in the present. So whatever happens, you respond with your whole being. It is not a question of being in tune with somebody else, some holy scripture, or some holy idiot. It simply means to be in tune with the present moment. This ability to respond is responsibility.Responsibility is existence, responsibility gives you being:Responsibility is existence, responsibility gives you being. If you go on throwing responsibility onto someone else — it is the Devil who is creating misery and it is God who becomes Christ, becomes Mohammed, becomes Mahavira, and takes you out of the misery — then what are you doing? You seem to be just like a football — on one side is the Devil, on one side is God and you are being kicked from this side to that. Enough! You simply say, 'Enough! I am not going to allow myself to be kicked any more.'Are you a football? Claim responsibility.Right now Krishna says that not only Pandava but society has also suffered from the dictatorship of Duryodhana. Now you must take charge of your life and life of citizens of hastinapur.Take the responsibility into your own hands, it is your life. So do whatsoever you like to do, act, never do anything that you don’t like to do. If you have to suffer for it, suffer, but don’t do it; do only that which is demand of the present moment. If you have to suffer for it, suffer for it. One has to pay the price for everything; nothing is free in life. Then that is the price. If you fulfill your duty as kṣatriya, even if the whole world condemns it, good! let them condemn. You accept that consequence because that’s your assignment of the universe so, it is worth it.This act of your responsibility will make the whole society courageous and insightful that living life under dictatorship of some one is not worth. Take charge and fight for it.

When Women Stopped eating leftovers : A Picture Which Must Change
 18 March 2018

Being Indian, some news brings you shame. This kind of news is one of them. In 21st CE, Where the whole world watches us with their understanding of this century shamed us for such gender discrimination. In distance village of Rajasthan, Banswara. Few NGO went and found that there is a tradition for women. In this tradition, women eat after his male partner and family. eventually, NGO found that it is gender discrimination and they started to educated women groups. Ironically, Many parts of India these kinds of practice is social norms. These kinds of practice have been unchanged in many decades. Many people saw them as regressive practice or culture which comes from Hinduism but for few of them, it’s only outdated tradition which must go as we live in the 21st Century.  For Original article please go throw the below mention link:When women stopped eating leftovers?Irrespective of many arguments that this behavior comes from the patriarchal culture of Indian society, I disagree with this notion. I don’t think so original and fundamental culture of India was male patriarchal in nature. All original scripture which has founded Hinduism agreed on one simple fact:“Women should be worship like Goddess and Their respect brings Devas (deities) into the home”. (Paraphrased from Manusmriti)There are several examples where we Indians celebrated the world most taboo things. Sex (Kamasutra is one of the celebrated book in Indian culture about sex) symbols and position. There is temple which is dedicated to sex and sexual posture. I don’t find that people were having about watching these images together.Khajuraho images which show various posture of sexual activities. (Source: The Wire)So how can a society which gives sex (A widely accepted taboos in all Abrahamic religion) images a place in their temple has become such regressive that they were not allowing women to eat together? It simply baffled me.More than half (51%) of all Indian women of reproductive age have anemia, according to the Global Nutrition report 2017. While our women are not allowed to eat properly. This is a shame situation. But as I was expecting, few readers who have novice understanding about everything had tried to link it with North Indian states, few consider that it’s the fault of Hinduism and few consider that it’s due to our society which has regressive structure.I would like to remind all Indians, It is our burden to remove such practices out of the window and the real reason for such discrimination practice amongst women has nothing to do with Hinduism or It’s ancient culture. For understanding that women position in Indian society please go throw my blog:Women In Hinduism – Part OneWomen in Hinduism.(Wikipedia)We must need to accept that after Mugal invasion (I am not blaming here Mugal but the patriarchy culture they bring in India) our culture has been decayed and it is not inline with our scripture which gives women freedom, allow them social and civil rights. Slowly the local practices turn out to be more patriarchy. But I would like to share an example, which no Indian can be denied and that is the proof that still Indian culture have not inhibit complete patriarchy. When I was a kid. My father used to hard work. I have seen him giving complete salary to my mother (who was the housewife and earn nothing). I have seen him asking money from my mother for his daily expanse. This is the story of millions Hindus household. I never have seen such practice in other culture. Male used to keep all money and give a small number of women for their need. But the above mention practice is a popular culture amongst Hindu family which shows that financial owner of the family is “Women”, They have been termed as “DhanLaxmi” or “Finance Ministers”.So, In my point of view. This kind of practice happening because of Illiteracy. We need a massive drive of literacy (Dharmic and Modern). We need to teach people what they are doing is against of their culture and Modern values.Only Education and Social awareness can bring the change we want. Abusing a culture (which certainly no one understands because of its complexity) is novice attempt to shed of responsibilities. Blaming mindless way will help no one.We must not forget what Upanishads told us about eating habit in the family:And if a man wishes that a learned daughter should be born to him, and that she should live to her full age, then after having prepared boiled rice with sesamum and butter, they should both eat, being fit to have offspring. And if a man wishes that a learned son should be born to him, and that he should live his full age, then after having prepared boiled rice with meat and butter, they should both eat, being fit to have offspring.— BRIHADARANYAKA UPANISHAD 6.4.17 – 6.4.18,The irony with Indians is that We are being more animal after leaving our dharma education. It is time when we bring back the dharmic culture back to our society.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.36
 2 August 2019

Choose - In Gita Verse 2.36 Your enemies will describe you in many unkind words and scorn your ability. What could be more painful for you?Krishna says if you decide to drop war and run away from the war - it only means that you are inviting disrespect for yourself. Your enemies will get a chance to enjoy the victory and with unkind words scorn your ability. It will be very painful. History is always written by winners and never by looser. So down the centuries the whole humanity will know you as a coward and fearful instead of your courage and sharp intelligence. We are the creators of our own destiny. Here if Arjuna remains unconscious irrespective of Krishna ‘s total effort then he will be disrespected for centuries. If he wakes up in his self-consciousness then he will be honored for centuries for his Assignment of Universe, Fighting Without Enmity. How we act makes lot of difference. Our this moments act will create our future. There is an intricate relationship between an act and the end result. We always want to have a perfect result for whatever we do, without losing ourselves in the act. Is such an act possible? To understand the fine difference, it is important to examine ‘perfection’ and ‘totality’. Although for many people, perfection is the ultimate goal, it is nothing less than illusion or myth; something which is nonexistent. We are attracted by the very idea of perfection, not realising that it is like a disease which is dangerous and destructive. If not for our obsession with perfection, our action could open the door to a beautiful spiritual journey.Whatever you do, just pour your heart in it, do it with totality. Karma is enjoyable if the heart is involved in it. Then there is no karma and kerta; both melt and become one. That is totality. Perfection is a myth, while totality is reality.Perfection is a goal somewhere in the future while totality is an experience this very moment, in which your act is transformed into meditation and a beautiful prayer descends in your heart. In fact, there is no future reference or goal for totality; only a routine life style albeit soaked in spiritual fragrance. If you do any work or any act with your whole heart, then you are total, then you are walking on the same path which Kabir and Ravidas chose. The whole idea is to ‘be total’ in everything that you are doing. It doesn’t matter what you do, whether you are making clothes like Kabir or shoes like Ravidas, or cooking food or working on a new design for most advanced spacecraft, or cleaning the floor. The job is immaterial. The focus is that doing is with totality, which is the only way to transform the act into meditation and to transform the doing into a beautiful prayer.Krishna is telling Arjuna it is up to you and choose to be conscious or unconscious towards yourself. If you will be unconscious then also it’s your responsibility for the result and if you are conscious then too it is your responsibility towards the result. Right now you have a choice either to act from consciousness or unconscious once you take the step then you lose your freedom. In this moment you are free to choose. When Awareness Comes and the Light Comes, then there Is Freedom - There are three types of freedom:The first type of freedom at least pretends that there is some goal. Even the politician says, ‘We are fighting to be free – from this kind of society, this kind of structure, this kind of politics. We are fighting to be free from this society just to create another society. We are fighting for some goal, some value, some utopia, some ideology.’ Even he has to pretend that, because the negative cannot exist alone; at least the positive has to be talked about. So communism talks about a classless society, utopia, where everything will be beautiful, where paradise will have descended on the earth. It will take infinity, but that goal has to be given. Otherwise people will not fight for a negative freedom. So the negative implies the positive; and vice versa, the positive implies the negative. When you want to become a painter and your parents are not agreeing and your society thinks it is foolish, you have to fight with them. So freedom for will have something to do with freedom from; they both are together. This is the second type of freedom. The real freedom is the third kind, the transcendental freedom. What is that? It is neither from nor for; it is simply freedom. It is just freedom. That is moksha: just freedom. Neither against anybody – it is not a reaction; nor to create some future – there is no goal. One simply enjoys being oneself, for its own sake; it is an end unto itself. And that freedom is love, and that freedom is God. That freedom is nirvana, that freedom is truth. In that freedom you exist in God, God exists in you. Then nothing wrong can ever happen through you. Then your life is virtue. Then your very breathing is meditation. Then you walk and it is poetry. Then you sit silently and it is dance. Then you are a blessing to the world. You are blessed.Krishna is talking about the third type of freedom. Freedom which comes from awareness and light. In that you become capable of liberating yourself and others also. As Arjuna is in the war Krishna is saying that not only will you be liberated but others also who will be killed by you.

 8 July 2019

Our country would complete 73rd independence day in Aug 2019 and we have achieved many mile stones, went through lot of high & lows, have overcome so many challenges till date, the only saddest part that still exists in our country is caste and religion. Our constitution was so well framed by Dr ambedkar, wherein we talk about basic rights and equality of people, but its still a matter of shame coz, equality for all caste and religion exist only on papers. We have never tried to overcome this biggest challenge and have just used the caste and religion for vote bank, to seek admission with bribe on the seats of lower caste, to seek job in govt sector by buying the seat of lower caste and much more. I keep travelling around, and where ever i go i have seen, ppl do not hesitate to ask, which caste you belong to. In south there is village where lower caste has to think alot before passing the village that belongs to upper caste. I have seen even educated ppl residing near or around me talking rubbish about caste and religion. In this 21st century ppl are highly qualified, the only thing that is missing is humanity and we cannot add value to the society unless and until we ovecome our rigid mindset of lower caste, upper caste etc. I would like to share one incident, i got transfered to a particular city and was in need of maid and someone staying near by recommended me a maid, she came to meet me, bt the owner of the house did not allowed her to come inside, coz the maid belonged to lower caste. The other day i asked the owner of my house did any maid came to meet me ?, she said yes, but would you allow 'chamaran' to enter and work in your house. I really felt bad the way she talked, such low minded people do not even think before they speak. The fact is we cant live without this lower caste people or else Our household work would remain still, if these ppl from lower caste do not work for us. The roads and surroundings would have become hell to live, if this ppl who belong to lower caste do not clean it. The drainage would over flow if this ppl stop working. People must learn to respect each other irrespective of the work and profession that one belongs to. No work is small, except the thinking and the mentality that you carry, coz this mentality you are passing to new generation. Wherein the problem of caste and religion would never be solved in our country. We live in a democratic country, where everyone has right of justice, equality and freedom to express. Article 15 has lot to say and it highlights on the current incident that still prevails in most part of our country. Even if we talk about ex chief minister mayavati, she has nt done any work for the ppl of lower caste except using them as vote bank and many other in politics are still using them. The govt should control alter delete the caste system from the country, so that it can lead to equality in income, education, job and most of the problem could be solved by bringing caste system to an end. The standard of living, the education, the income equality, etc of this caste has really not change much in uttarpradesh and many other parts. The movie highlights the heart touching incident, i.e rape of two minor girls who were working as child labor and they wanted the hike of just rupees three. My eyes were teared and i asked myself, in which world are we living ??, that we really do not feel the pain ? how can people be so inhuman ?. One can laugh, giggle, can spread rumours, but cant contribute their emotions, sympathy, empathy to the people around. Such ppl are shame to the society, coz they do not have much to give to the society and its ppl, not even humanity, and neither they add value to anybodys life. Learn to be human first, humanity itself is a biggest religion. We are indians, do not catergorize indians state, caste, religion wise. Try to come above all this. The movie is really worth watching, and ayushman did a complete justice with his character and role. I give 4.5 star to this movie for showing the reality, that our country can never overcome the caste and religion base issue, coz we are passing our rigid mindset and thoughts to the next generation. What we preach our children that is what they give to the society. Enjoy ur weekends with family by watching movie 'Article 15' 👍

Under cherry-treessoup, the salad, fish and all . . .Seasoned with petalsVariety of food is like mind and petals represents consciousness.Remember well that you don't have one mind; you have multi-minds.Mind is a flux: river like, flowing, changing. Consciousness is eternal, one. It is not different in the morning and different in the evening. It is not different when you are born and different when you die. It is one and the same, eternal. Mind is a flux. A child has a childish mind, an old man has an old mind; but a child or an old man have the same consciousness, which is neither childish nor old. It cannot be.Mind moves in time and consciousness lives in timelessness. They are not one. But we are identified with the mind. We go on saying, insisting, 'My mind. I think this way. This is my thought. This is my ideology.' Because of this identification with the mind, you miss that which you really are.Dissolve these links with the mind. Remember that your minds are not your own. They have been given to you by others: your parents, your society, your university. They have been given to you. Throw them away. Remain with the simple consciousness that you are ¯ pure consciousness, innocent. This is how one moves from the mind to meditation. This is how one moves away from society, from the without to the within. This is how one moves from the man-made world, the maya, to the universal truth, the existence.
