BEST INTERIOR DESIGN TRENDS FOR 2019
 23 April 2019

In the world of innovative interior design fairs and salons, people were amusingly surprised to have a look of vintage aesthetics making updated comebacks along with new interior design trends coming in shape.SLEEK modern FIREPLACESAs clients have been recently continuously asking for thoroughly modern updates to their fireplaces, the Interior designers mostly find themselves suggesting elevated ribbon and strikingly minimal fireplaces that displays a subtle design note in their homes. A contemporary fireplace will always look timeless whereas adding defining value to your property.Along with new innovations, appear easier to care for as well as fireplaces that also take up hardly any visual space while being designed to fully blend in.MinimalismBy this time, everyone had too much enough of the limitations that come along with the greatly trending design style minimalism over the past years. Say it as a denial to the challenging plainness it gives to a home or an acceptance of the more lively furnishings and accessories that have been popular now, because it was only a matter of time previous to what we saw is a major shift in the whole opposite direction. Along with more and more clients continuing to go behind suit, it makes complete sense when looking to develop a rich as well as unique space. When searching to bring in transitional as well as eclectic design styles inside your home, a maximal spirit will give you so much more freedom when taking into consideration interesting decorative objects that are not just anything but standard as well as streamlined in appearance. Through minimalism, a person has much more freedom to follow their instinct which in turn, will craft the design process so much simpler. The way to achieving warm minimalism right is to keep a proper edit as well as visual consistency so that efforts don’t look like heavy-handed or too much stimulating. TIN INTERIORSAs we have not yet had a look of stamped tin panels in vogue for years and as they tend to remind a vintage-inspired sense, tin panels are one of the simplest as well as least expensive ways to attach brilliant texture in any room in the house. And as a tin ceiling forever looks ultra-glamorous, tin panels also make for acutely chic backsplash ideas.CONSOLETABLESAlong with the comeback of heady maximal design, if the living room design isn’t equipped with an innovative statement-making piece of furniture to start gossiping, then change it with an ultramodern console table. As said if your living room decor budget hardly calls for a big design splurge, then one must search for more reasonable console tables that boast clean, sharp lines in variant colors to help evoke the abstract into the day to day life.PAINTED FLOOR TILESAmong all of the simplest top home trends to put into practice, painted floors makes complete sense as painting your floor is one kind of the inexpensive home upgrades that’ll have an immediate impact in the home. While painting your floors is a good idea for promptly transforming out of date linoleum.

Book Review: Dharmayoddha Kalki: Avatar of Vishnu (Book 1) – Kevin Missal
 27 March 2018

Blurb:Born in the quiet village of Shambala, Kalki Hari, son of Vishnuyath and Sumati, has no idea about his heritage until he is pitted against tragedies and battles.Whisked into the province of Keekatpur, which is under the fist of Lord Kali, Kalki sees the ignominy of death trumping life all around him. He learns that he has been born to cleanse the world he lives in, for which he must journey to the North and learn the ways of Lord Vishnu’s Avatar; from an immortal who wields an axe. But trapped in the midst of betrayals, political intrigue and forces that seek to decimate him, will he be able to follow his destiny before the Kaliyug begins? My Review:Kalki – The tenth avatar of Shri Maha Vishnu, who is supposed to be take his form during Kaliyuga for samhara(killing) of Kali Purusha (Evil who sits in every person) as per mahapuranas. Inspired by these words author has taken readers into the world of mythological fantasy. Opening with a war after the deed between kali and Vedantta to acquire Keekatpur. Kali churns his evil with a motive of power. Somewhere in a remote village Shambala for the parents of Vishnuyath and Sumati, Kalki Hari takes his form(birth), who is not aware that his life has a purpose of “DUSHTA SHIKSHANA AND SHISHTA RAKSHANA” (Kill evil and Restore Dharma)Kalki who lives a happy and prosperous life in his village meets Kripacharya who explains the purpose of his birth/reincarnation. As destined he eventually meets the evil king kali in the process of creating an empire.Inspire of a slow beginning, the secret of the plot lies in the map which closely relates the characters and places without any impediments. Story is written in multiple viewpoint which makes you observant to every detail and keeps you on the edge and attentive to detail. Regardless the book is 400+ pages in length. The characters(tribes) are too many to remember, infact i referred the book back and forth to not to miss flow. Book is fast paced and always taking unpredictable twist and turns, sometimes it becomes as well.Kalki sets off on a battle to finish Adharm. Will he succeed in saving the world? The book is divided to two parts: Battle of Shambala & Rise of kali (My Favorite)I see many similarities with the actual mythological characters1. Sage Shuka (Parrot Head)2. Lakshmi (Godess)3. Arjan (Arjuna)4. Thakshak5. Vasuki and so on.Special mention to the Book Cover – “The BEST BOOK COVER” till date, The characters are excellently written and well placed in the story. The pace of the book is very good. Super fine paper quality.Remarkable effort of the young author in through research, I’m sure he would have referred to various scriptures and epics before bringing this book out. If you are a lover of fantasy and mythology, this book is highly recommended. This book carries almost all the aspects and breaking the myth of complex words when we take the mythological reference. Nothing in specific, I liked everything in this book. Hope unanswered questions are addressed in Satya Yoddha Kalki – The Eye of BrahmaPS: While I post this, I see the second book is taking its form. Cant wait more to read the next book in this series.Direct Link: https://www.amazon.in/Dharmayoddha-Kalki-Avatar-Vishnu-Book/dp/8193503309/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522175115&sr=8-1&keywords=kalki+by+kevin+missalRegardsKiran K Adharapuram

Body massage is a general term that describes any type of massage modality that helps relieve pain, reduces stress, increases blood and lymph circulation, and work on a specific problem such as a frozen shoulder. If you are also feeling tired, trust me, body massage services in Chennai is working as a pain killer. Are you excited to know the name of the massage center that helped me get to relax and energized? It is Herbal Massage Center located in Valmiki Nagar. They greeted me with a warm welcome and with a refreshing lemon juice, which was quite a relief for my stomach that seemed to be stirring acid that day.I then spent some time with the menu and after some back and forth, we decided on a high-pressure body massage services in Chennai that includes a scrub and wrap. My designated masseuse is a pretty lady Nancy from the North-East and she embodies everything that the leading massage center stands for. She helped me release rigid tissues, relax my mind and restores and rejuvenate my energy, bombing all the stress and releasing my chakras, allowing them to breathe again. They are offering different kind of treatments for mothers to be and new mothers, and even massages that will help combat jet lag. The massage used her strong fingers to ease the knots out of my back, paying special attention to my lower back and shoulders as I had requested. She was aware of my needs and made sure I felt like a princess, pampered and spoilt, and wanting nothing but to be buried in a soft bathrobe. She finished a round of strenuous massaging and then graduated to a rigorous body scrub. That grainy feel against my skin was refreshing and made me feel like I had been cleansed right from within my pores. My skin was coated up with a soft, creamy lotion and I was left alone, wrapped in a soft cocoon. The lady then tiptoed into my room and let me out of there into the shower, and the water washed over me like a ritual leaving my skin fresh, and supple. You can indulge in the luxury of body massage services in Chennai inspired by Ayurveda, Thai therapies, Western Therapies, and Holistic traditions. The spa incorporates techniques from Indian, Asian, and Western practice to offer large body massage services in Chennai at competitive prices. The services are categorized as Spa Packages, Spa Massages, Spa Facials, Body Wraps, and Body Scrubs with Pedicure and Manicure. You can take your pick from the verities of soothing massages, such as the exotic Total Reincarnation Program, a four and half hour treatments that include full body scrub, body wrap, a signature facial, and an advanced body therapeutic massage with a break for special spa snacks in between. So, as you have seen my experience was mind-blowing and I am definitely going to visit this spa once again. But hey, who has referred me to this spa? Well, it’s not who, it’s where? Where I have found this thrilling massage center? As soon as I got thought of getting a massage, I searched on google best body massage providers and it showed, one classified portal called izydaisy, I clicked on it and guess what I found the whole list of massage centers, all at one place. I was impressed and shortlisted 2-3 spas from which I decided to go with this one and not regret choosing it.

Please give details about your initial education and forming years of lifePresently,I am a student of class 5, studying in Prudence School, New Delhi. How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?I am not sure, how it began. I use to finish my school work very fast and would then start writing on bits of paper, loose sheets and in diary. Once my mom asked me to write about 'my most unforgettable moment'. I wrote about my late grandmother. After reading it, my parents, immediate family members, got very emotional. That's how I think my potential was realized by my mom. She encouraged me to write more and meanwhile got to know about this platform 'StoryMirror'. First time when I posted my story on StoryMirror, and the first 'Like' I got from someone unknown to me, acted as a catalyst. Since then, there has been no stopping. What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work?I keep writing because I love writing. I have not faced any problem except asking for votes. What is your view about the present day literary work?I like literature because it gives me ideas, increases my vocabulary, makes me more sensitive. This award in romanian language is commonly known as 'Pentru cel mai bun poet al comunita-ii asiatice' Honour and has been a great one to have as a poet for any Asian born person. It is generally given to those people who have suffered any challenge in their lives belonging to the Prominent Asian continent and still come out of that making a phenomenal remark for themselves by contributing to culture, literature or in the academic field. In this way this is an award that gives empowerment to certain cultural sectors in Asia and it is for the community's power through recognising them by appreciating their potential for which it is ultimately presented. The award basically contains a shield with a medal with symbol of 'Falcun' on one side and of 'climbing birds' on other side that represents flight sorted out with challenge. A strong prize money also given to apreciate the contributions done by those certain persons appreciating his or her commitment in their prominentn field by their hard work being paid off. And the letter of appreciation by the jury that  gives the same in sinaia in Romania on a certain huge ocasion to recognise the virtual representation of such affiliation for which it is ultimately presented to the recipient presenting the virtual impact for his or her great commitments. I was asked during the invite of the European Poetry championship award ceremony to specify my presence which is to say that I should express my views on the certain award which I mentioned that should be better if it is kept secret and I should come to know about it later once I have been part of fond memories and hence it was agreed and I was yet unaware of the award till the early afternoon of the 1st day of the Poetry award ceremony which was also good being patient. Once I was cornered by the European jury, explained that such award titled 'Best Asian community poet award' shall be on my name and I shall receive it on the 2nd day's award ceremony thence my joy was infinite and It was extremely greatful to all of them. I thanked the lord, my parents and family, gratified poets and author and as well as expressed my joy to the jury who has confirmed and they were equally delightful that made the day first on 4th of May coming to know that such certain award shall be presented to me on eve of 5th of May. Though one thing I made clear that I would not take the heavy prize money offered with it thus satisfied with letter of appreciation and the medal, and that shall go to the contributions of literary communities in Balcan core and difficultly though the jury agreed calling the representatives core who's joy was also on top and hence it was great to be part of such happy moment altogether. In the speech that followed when I was receiving the award, there were things I wished to convey to the writer's community and thence understanding my intentions the award handing team provided me the mike to speak out with galore and joy to express for which I was up to the core. I spoke about the culture of preserving human rights, Talked how culture of writing can be inspired and protected, explained that why Certain communities need to contribute in writing for their ultimate existence, and after thanking everyone with huge cheer and loud clappings all around it was over. I followed the volunteers who have taken me to the podium, asked them to help me out with the wait of the award's trophy which they did greatly, and after all things were rightly managed I went back to my position. Thus having such an award like 'Best Asian Community poet award' is one more memory for me to cherish and I shall keep it in my mind forever as I witnessed other poets/writers receiving their awards and I clapped in their turn like they have done for me that made it a great moment in the validictory function at large...

Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.15
 3 June 2019

United We Stand - In Gita Verse 1.15 Lord Kṛṣṇa blew His conch shell, called Pāñcajanya; Arjuna blew his, the Devadatta; and Bhīma, the voracious eater and performer of herculean tasks, blew his terrific conch shell, called Pauṇḍra.Pandava gave their approval and showed their readiness by blowing their conch shells one after the other according to hierarchy and in response to Bhishma. Krishna and Arjuna by blowing their conch shells delivered the message of transcendental, inner strength and stability. One by one everyone started blowing their conch shells. Bhima conveyed his physical strength by blowing his. There was rhythm in their response to Bhishma. They were ready but not excited. There was unity in their team. Unity has different kind of strength. They act from trust on each other. They count on each other's strength. They don’t look for mistakes in each other but stand with each other. When our focus is on the mistake it is a clear indication that we are stuck in the objective world. But when our focus is on the strength it shows that you are respectful towards other person and the universe for its imperfection. As the other person is imperfect so our we and each both can become strength of the other. One of the best examples of the strength of unity is the Indian struggle for freedom. The British were mighty powerful. They controlled and tortured Indians for years. However, even the powerful British officials had to give up when Indians came out together and stood united against them. Many patriotic leaders emerged during those times. Each had his own ideologies and tried to fight the British accordingly. These leaders inspired vast number of Indians who came out in large number to fight against the tyranny of the British.Several protests and processions were carried out during that period. The British government was shaken by these events. People realised the importance of standing together and soon their efforts paid off. The British had to leave the country owing to the mass involvement of Indians in the freedom struggle. Had only a few people come forward to fight, the British would have easily silenced them and continued their rule.Staying United: A Part of Indian CultureOurs is a country with rich tradition and culture. Staying together and helping each other is a part of our culture. Our joint family system is one of the biggest examples of the importance we give to staying united. The joint family system had prevailed in our country for centuries. Unlike the modern times, in the past the families did not only live together but also bonded well. People sat together, chit chatted and had their meals in each other’s company. Staying united helped them in many ways.People in our country did not only live united with their immediate family members but also bonded well with their neighbours and extended family. People stood by each other and acted as a great support system for one another. In India one of the reasons why the percentage of depression and psychological problem is lesser than in other part of the world is because their emotional health is taken care by friends and family members. Also when you live together you become a observer. Also learn how we can become each other’s strength. When you learn all this from your childhood it becomes your nature.“United we stand, divided we fall” means that it is wise to stick together and work in collaboration with others instead of working against each other. Working as a team is a sure shot way to success.Look at Pandava with limited resources, limited amount of finance - as they had just came out from exile, because of their unity they won the war. Kaurava with all the resources, power, finance lost the war because they were divided. Duryodhan was always surprised that why all the brothers of Pandava, with different thinking can stay united. While his brothers were not united. The basic difference was Yudhishthir always listened to them very calmly and gave them freedom to express and act. Freedom of expression and action made them responsible to stay united. While Duryodhana never gave any freedom to his brothers, that’s why they were divided.

From there I also wanted to write something that will reach people and will stay with them forever.Q: What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? A: I was out of touch for 3-4 years. Got married and was completely involved in my family only. But the passion was still alive. So getting back on track, writing well after years of staying completely away from pen became a little difficult. And today I struggle to reach the audience with my writings which I am still trying to improve and get back to those writing skills that I earlier had. There are so many creative writers that I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement in my writings.Q: What is your view about the present-day literary work? A: I think it has reached completely different heights. In this field people have become so good. Every piece of work that I get to read is in itself amazing. Today's literary work has made the world seem smaller. People get to read about cultures which are followed far far from them.Q: Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? A: Of course, it has given a new opportunity and a very good platform to people who really want to showcase their creativity. The opportunities today are unlimited for the talent to reach the people.Q: Please tell us something about your literary work. A: Starting with scripts and small articles, after taking a little break, I am more into short stories and poems now. It was an interview with a music Jockey. After that I wrote my first story 'Child's unfulfilled wishes' and it was published here on StoryMirror for the first time. It was about a child who had everything except his parents' time and attention.Q: How many ways literature can contribute to society in future? A: Literature will continue to contribute the society the way it does from years. People will understand different lifestyles and cultures of other countries. The solutions to the problems that we face in our daily lives, might become available easily for the people. From our past, people will learn a lot. They will understand what all happened in different places and why. For future, the mistakes of the past might be avoided. And the favorable steps for further development can be taken.Q: Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?A: I want to reach the maximum audience possible plus I want to improve so much and write so well that people will love reading my work.Q: What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets? A: Online video sessions among the poets, working in collaboration online and meeting each other through small get together or in live poetry sessions.Q: What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers?A: I am myself a new and aspiring writer. But what I can suggest is, keep reading the works of good writers, keep learning and improving.Q: How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror?  A: It has been amazing and I love writing here on StoryMirror. What inspired you to write?  A: Literature liberates your soul. Words empower you. If you ask what inspires me, I would say, inspiration is everywhere around you. You just need to have an eye for it. I'm surrounded by a lot of people around me. Each one has a story to share. I just get the idea from the everyday life of all those.Q: What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? A: To present a piece of literary work (something worthy, something close to your heart, something upon which you have devoted your time and effort) in front of a huge audience out there, and the related doubts of meeting the expectations of and fear of acceptance by your readers can be the scariest part. It’s challenging yet exciting.Q: What is your view about the present day literary work? A: No doubt, the present day literary work has come a far way. Q:Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.A: I am a student currently pursuing my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi. I completed my elementary education from my hometown itself in Bihar. For my secondary education and JEE preparation, I went to Sri Chaitanya, Vishakhapatnam               Q: How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write? A: It was under the light of my teachers, in class eighth, where my interest in literature grew. But my maturity in poetry owes its presence to the couple of years I spent preparing for JEE. It was here when solitude became my best companion, and I composed poems prolifically. Q: What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? A: I love to ponder over things and discuss about them. I am an avid reader of the writers of the Renaissance era and romantic poets, and I have found them the most difficult to comprehend. My urge to write sometimes also clashes with my academic schedule, but I try to manage both effectivelyQ: What is your view about the present-day literary work?A: When it comes to contemporary writers and modern literature, I love them equally, as I find their work symbolic of the society, I live in. I usually trifle with my mobile phone a lot these days reading random poets and authors, and it's their work only from which I learn.Q: Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? A: I strongly believe that the emergence of digital and social media platforms has helped budding writers to reach out to a large number of readers. It has helped them to establish themselves before they got published. I too am no exception in this.Q: Please tell us something about your literary work.A: My writings mostly reflect what an ordinary person would usually overlook. I try to find poetry in almost everything around myself. As is the case with most of the writers, initially the theme of my poems used to be centered around 'love', but now I write about a number of topics, including love, Nature, past experiences, desires etc.Q: What was your first literary work and how was it published? A: I remained a 'recluse' poet for almost over a span of five years since I began writing, but now have started reaching out to the people, thanks to the various social media platforms. My poem titled 'Meera' is getting published in an anthology by Delhi Poetry Slam soon, and I am very ecstatic about it. I also maintain a page quivering glimpses on Instagram, where I usually post most of my worksQ: Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?A There are several things on my mind which I wish to achieve in the next five years. The foremost thing is to build a readership for me. Till then I am in no mood to get myself published. Since I have started lately reaching out to people, I guess I would need some years to get recognized among the readers. But to be honest, after five years, I want myself to be sitting in the sun and reading a book of my own. Plus having completed reading around 150 books. Q: What ways would you suggest on building a community for poets?A: I strongly advocate the use of social networking sites for building a community for poets. Since the talent is strewn across the globe, to bring them together one needs a platform. And I can't think of a better option than these social sites. I also urge the conduction of various literary activities, book festivals and workshops, where poets can come together, showcase their works and learn too from others.Q: What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers? A To the aspiring new writers, I would ask them to always remember ' A writer is a reader first '. Before you write, read as much as you can. Trying to express oneself requires words, and these books are what gives you, your treasure. Additionally, never try to constrain yourself in the maze of 'writing for others'. Write what you love to write about as it what that will give you satisfaction. Be a poet at heart!Q: How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror? A: My experience of writing here was pretty good. It offers a platform for anybody who wants to write and get recognized. And since it incorporates all the major languages, you can choose any language you want to write in. There are contests too which are held regularly, so you get to learn many things which make you better.Q: Would you like to say something about StoryMirror? A: I would wish StoryMirror good luck for future and love to see it growing to one of the biggest platforms for writers across the globe. Here is the link to read my content https://storymirror.com/profile/ftlohpee/ankit-jaiswal/poems

Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.I graduated a semester early from Beckman Catholic High School and started taking college courses early on. Currently, I attend Northeast Iowa Community College. Given my hectic life, at the moment I am only enrolled in online courses. Ever-so-slowly, I’m working towards my Associate of Arts degree before I transfer to a four-year university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?  I have always had a fondness for literature—there’s just something immensely intriguing about finding a great book and escaping into the literary world it provides. I’m always adding new books to my kindle. As for writing, I discovered early on in my childhood that I had a talent and interest in poetry. More often than not, I used poetry writing as a therapeutic tool and it proved to be a helpful means of coping with the struggles of my daily life. It still is. What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? The difficulties that had the most impact in relation to my writing would probably be writer’s block and finding FREE ways to get my work put out there and/or published. What is your view about the present-day literary work? In regard to poetry specifically, the majority of my favorite writers are modern-day and from this generation. I find that I tend to gravitate towards writing styles similar to my own. I think that there has been a recent increase in writing that has a positive subject matter, which I find refreshing considering most of my own work tends to be on the negative side of life. Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? I definitely believe that social media and technology both have made a HUGE difference in the amount of opportunities available for writers. For me, personally, the digital world has skyrocketed my writing and certainly improved it.Please tell us something about your literary work. My work is almost solely poetry, and that’s what I’ve chosen to dedicate my time spent writing to. Every single piece has some sort of deeply personal connection to me or my life and, in numerous cases, my past. I haven’t had the most sunshine-y life, but in the last five years things have taken a turn for the better in the best ways. I think this positive turn for me is becoming visible in some of my writing. What was your first literary work and how was it published?  My first real piece of writing that I put out there was a cheesy Love poem that I wrote around age twelve specifically for a contest hosted by what previously was Poetry.com. It’s called Definition of Love, and through the website at the time, it was published into an anthology entitled Collected Whispers. I was quite proud then, but reading it now, I almost want to blush at how obvious my youth was. How many ways literature can contribute to society in future?I think that, in the future—as well as now, even—literature and writing and poetry will (hopefully) open people’s eyes to what the world was/is like today and explore the endless possibilities of what the world COULD be.Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world? In five years, the hopes I have in regard to my writing all revolve around the simple goal of being recognized and successfully putting myself out there. It’s been a struggle finding ways to do that that won’t affect me financially. What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets?I think that many positive strides have been made to do exactly this, and many more are already in the process. I do wish that there was a singular poetry community online that provided ways for writers to share their poetry with others, receive feedback, build a collection of their poetry, AND enter FREE contests/calls for submissions. I feel like, the ways things are right now, poets have to bounce around from site to site or place to place to accomplish all of those things. What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers? The best advice I could ever give isn’t my own advice at all, but rather the words of Ernest Hemingway. Ernest Hemingway once said, “Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough.”How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror? To be completely honest, I have only ever been on StoryMirror to enter a contest. When I got the email requesting an author interview, I was so pleased because I feel like no other writing community appears to care about or get involved with its members/writers. Instantly, I wanted to be a more active part of StoryMirror, so I’d say my experience was wonderful. Here is the link to read my content https://storymirror.com/profile/drmr5sia/morgan-tomas-klostermann/poems

Q: Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.A: I am currently pursuing the B.E. Program in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Chandigarh College, Chandigarh. I am a writer and a poet. I love to sing, and study about music and psychology. My other interests include painting, sketching and public speaking. I just want to do it all.Q: How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?  A: When I was growing up, I went through my phases of teen rebel, the melodrama of youth and the feelings of being misunderstood. I had a hard time dealing with growing up and facing the world. And when I couldn't find any other way to deal with it, one day I decided to write, and the words came flowing to my mind and I was amazed. It felt so good and relieving, that I continued with writing poems, articles and stories, and read them to my family and friends.Q: What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? Sometimes you are so weighed down by your emotions that you don't want to write about them because at times, that is like, piercing knives through your heart. It hurts so bad to confront and re-confront the bad stuff but then again, that also gives you some of your best work. So, i don't mind it but it sure feels difficult to be eaten alive by something you love doing, so dearly. So that is one difficult thing about it, the way how everything is sometimes so difficult to write about when it's just screaming out of you, everywhere.Q: What is your view about the present-day literary work?  A: I think it's amazing how so many writers have found various platforms and a lot of stories are coming out. New Genres are being formed and everybody is now pushing their limits, which is great. Finally, we are in a world where everyone has a voice and that just feels so amazing.Q: Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? A: Absolutely yes! I couldn't have agreed more. Digital platforms are a blessing to a budding writer's world.Q: Please tell us something about your literary work.  A: Most of the stuff I write about is centered around the themes of growing up, parting, solitude and escapism. I take inspiration from my own life and the lives of people around me. I try to paint a picture with my words and try to do in the most honest and sometimes dark manner. I have also written about suicide, death, friends and teenage and I am open to writing more about being spiritual and what it means to be happy and sad. I want to go and explore different themes and write about each one of them, if I can. I think I am a tireless nomad in search for something that connects everything.Q: What was your first literary work and how was it published?A: My first literary work was with StoryMirror. I had never tried my hand at writing but one day i decided to and so I sent one of my poems 'The rush of your dreams' in the inter-college level competition organized by StoryMirror. I got so many views and applause for it that it was too overwhelming. It also got selected to be featured in one of the anthologies by StoryMirror, which is under work. I was completely shaken, and I still remember that feeling like it was yesterday. Q: How many ways literature can contribute to society in future? A: Well, for one, I’d say literature is going to save the world. In a world where we are so divided by boundaries and religion, I think Literature is where we all come together as humans. If every human being develops a writer's heart and an artistic growth, so many amazing things can happen to this world, that could have been thought of only in dreams or stories.Q: here do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world? A:I want to travel all around the world, look for various muses and write about them. I really hope to make it successful as a writer and as a poet and maybe one day, I’ll get to write my story for the world to read and be remembered. Q: What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets? A: I think it is a great idea. While I firmly believe that every writer has a different and a deep personal story to tell, I think it would be great if we all could just talk to one another and discuss about our muses and themes. I'd love to be in such a club, for sure. Sign me up! Q: What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers? A: As one myself, I’d ask them to continue writing no matter what. It doesn't matter whether you get any recognition or applause, just remember why you started off writing and go on with it, no matter what. The most important thing is to write for yourself, and then comes the world. So just do your thing and don't ever look back.Q: How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror?   A: Two words - Beyond Exhilarating. I got so much recognition and exposure, and I am so grateful that I can't even begin to put it into words. It feels like being found in this chaotic world and I look forward to being remembered. Thank you, StoryMirror! You have my heart!Q: Would you like to say something about StoryMirror?  A: Yes! Keep up with this amazing platform. I hope a lot of writers consider you as the medium they want their work to spread and speak to the people. May you make big with all of these writers. Keep slaying!!!You can read my content on https://storymirror.com/profile/oseliq3i/aditya-thakur/poems

Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.I have recently turned 13 and am moving to 8th grade. I have been born and brought up in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR. I started my schooling and continue to be at Shikshantar – a place where I can be ‘me’. From my early days, I have been fascinated by all kinds of cars – that’s what even my teachers from idiscoveri preschool remember about me. As I am growing up, this has become a passion – I am an avid fan of all kinds of car racing – F1, Formula E, Moto GP etc. I enjoy a variety of music and sports - from the age of 6, I started learning tennis & piano and they have gradually become an important part of my routine. I have fun playing games on the Xbox and PS4. And…as expected, I can remain engrossed in books for hours!!! How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?   My parents always encouraged me to spend time with books. I remember listening to a wide variety of amusing stories in Hindi, English and Bengali from my parents and grandparents. This started me on my journey with books and this bond has got stronger day by day. At school, I enjoyed reading (or initially observing the pictures) the books from the small book stacks in the classroom. A few years ago, I and my friends became Tintin fans – we used to exchange the comics and read them together. We still do that with books we are currently interested in. During summer holidays, I have spent my time relaxing with the collection of my mother’s old books (& Archies comics!!!) at my Nani’s house. My interest in literature spans a vast range and I enjoy characters like Famous Five, Geronimo Stilton, Shonku & Feluda, Harry Potter etc. I have been entertained by the works of many authors - Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, Herge, Ruskin Bond, Satyajit Ray, Agatha Christie. Mystery & adventure is the genre that I love.  At school, we were always encouraged to express our thoughts and feelings on paper – first through art and then through writing. Starting with a few lines in my own spellings, I began writing short pieces based on the themes given in class.  I got a lot of encouragement from my teachers and parents and over time, my writing skills evolved to poems and short stories based on prompts or on areas of my interest. Guided by my English teacher, my mother approached Children’s World magazine and my work was well appreciated by the editor. When my first poem got published, it further boosted my confidence and motivated me to write better .  I was selected for a workshop ‘ Kissa-O-Kalam’ at Sahitya Akademi in May 2017 where I got to learn about different writing techniques from the mentors and hear interesting ideas of my companions. I have also participated in a number of creative writing competitions including Katha Utsav(2015), Scholastic Writing Awards(2016), Hindu Young World Club contests etc. These experiences have brought in new perspectives and enhanced my writing. What is your view about the present-day literary work?Modern day adventure stories excite me. I have read the series of Percy Jackson, Alex Rider and Time Riders. I find these to be thrilling with fast action and quick changes of scenarios – the twists and turns take the story to unexpected endings. Moreover, these adventures always involve some novel type of technological features which makes it more interesting. I find it difficult to put down the book till I have reached the end –you want to finish it as fast as you can to know the climax. Please tell us something about your literary work.I enjoy writing short stories and poems in English. I generally pick up abstract topics and use my imagination to spin stories around them. For this, I draw upon my experiences of travel, stories that I read, games that I play and what I observe around me.Some of my works include:Short stories - Autobiography of a Pair of Socks, A Chance Encounter with Hanumanji, Desert Escapade Poems – The Paper Boat, Fire n Ice, Falcon, Sounds of Silence I have also written few poems and short stories in Hindi – बचपन, जंगल बचाव, मन करताहै What was your first literary work and how was it published? My first literary work was an English poem called ‘Sounds of Silence’ which was published in the ‘Children’s World’ magazine on its 50th anniversary in April 2017. It is a monthly magazine brought out by the Children Book Trust, Delhi and is one of the oldest magazines for children.Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?                            I am keen to continue writing short stories and hope to sharpen my writing skills in the future. One of the ways I plan to do this is by pursuing my passion for reading. This will help me to get more ideas and to create extraordinary stories. What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets?                          Online platforms help amateur writers to share their works and read contributions from others. This can be enhanced by holding regular events and workshops. Emerging writers get to interact among themselves, appreciate other’s style of writing and learn from each other. Inviting a well known poet or author to share their thoughts will help young writers to get new ideas and develop their writing skills.      What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers?I always believe in the motto “Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go.”                            How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror?Story mirror was convenient to access. The features of a theme picture and introduction helps to arouse curiosity and makes the piece inviting for readers. It is encouraging to know that others are enjoying your writings and read their interesting comments. Would you like to say something about StoryMirror?StoryMirror is a great initiative to bring together young writers and create a community for sharing , learning and developing literary skills. I wish them all the best. Here is the link to read my content https://storymirror.com/profile/62vsms3s/naman-chatterjee/stories

Interview With Revathi Raj Iyer
 21 June 2018

Revathi Raj Iyer is a freelance writer, book reviewer, company director, service volunteer and yoga/fitness enthusiast. Professionally qualified as Company Secretary (India & New Zealand) with legal background, she has worked in the corporate field for over a decade. Bombay is her hometown and Baroda her abode after marriage. When she moved to Fiji Islands, she bid adieu to a rewarding career with a multinational to become a full time mum and pursue her twin passions, yoga and writing. She worked as lecturer of Laws at the University of Fiji. Living between NZ and Fiji, she pursued writing and yoga training and continues her passion after moving to India. She lives in Ahmedabad, India and has completed her next book which is a collection of short stories. Her dream is to write books for children.A couple of easy questions to begin with…First off,  What inspired you to write “My Friendship with Yoga”?Physical activity was dominant in my life right from an early age, as a trained classical dancer, which continued until my late twenties. Thereafter it took a back seat, when I became engrossed with my career together with being hands-on mum to a lovely little daughter alongside other demands that needed my attention. However, things changed when we moved to Fiji Islands, and I got back into fitness with intense aerobics and strength training. As destiny would have it, a disciple of Yogacharya BKS Iyengar was deputed to Fiji to introduce this ancient tradition to the people of Fiji. Yoga was at my door step and I embraced it with heartfelt love. I started writing my yoga journal. One fine day, I decided to give a formal structure to my jottings to reach out to a wider audience. As I wrote the book I had no idea of the publishing process, but I was focussed on my goal. “My Friendship with Yoga” thus took shape and was launched on the 10th January, 2017 at the New Delhi World Book Fair. Thanks to Lifi Publications for making this happen! How do you see writing, as a hobby or a passion?I find writing very therapeutic and it also makes me happy. It is passion that drives me to enter that lonely space, which I beautify with words, plot and characters to create a story. Is yoga a way of life or a way to exercise and meditateYoga and meditation are a way of life for a holistic and healthy lifestyle. It is not instant therapy or about perfecting the postures. It is much more than that.  One has to go through a process of learning – patiently and persistently; and observe the changes it brings about in oneself. Please tell us some more about your debut novel?“My Friendship with Yoga” is about my progression from learning under an instructor to achieving confidence in self-practice and sharing my varied experiences with readers. I have presented the complicated aspects of yoga in a lucid style with practical hints so as to cater book lovers of all age groups and skill levels. The book is divided into three parts:Narrative which combines the physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of yoga, wherein a selection of topics along with interesting anecdotes have been coveredThe 2nd Part has more than 80 postures with steps to attain these, guidelines, tips, techniques and benefits; keeping in mind yoga enthusiasts, beginners as well as those who have been practising yoga. The 3rd Part consists of the much desired weekly practice schedule written sequentially with clear instructions to enhance one’s practice. What has yoga done for you as a person?Yoga has helped me to deal with a given situation in a pragmatic and dispassionate manner. It has enabled me to let go of the past and negative emotions, be more positive and result-oriented and direct my energies towards my creative pursuit and other commitments. Yoga has certainly helped in making me acknowledge and appreciate the choices I have made so far, and offered me a healthier and more content lifestyle. What sort of research did you do to write this book?I have been reading books on yoga, but “My Friendship with Yoga,” is the outcome of my entire learning process, from the disciple of BKS Iyengar and instructors from the West. My effort was to present the complicated aspects of yoga in simple language that would appeal to readers of all age groups and skill levels. Yoga is not about perfection as different bodies react in a certain way to a certain posture. To that end, my thought process kept evolving during the entire course of my writing. I made several drafts until I was fully satisfied that I had done justice to my work. For each and every asana which has been illustrated in the book, I consciously performed them and wrote down the steps. Every single breath, every movement, position, the sequence had to be accurate. How did you come up with the title of the book “My Friendship with yoga”?It came straight from the heart; in fact I did not falter or ponder over the title. I began writing this book with its title in place. The title was a reminder to simplify yoga and it guided me in writing a user and reader friendly book, which has been appreciated by the reviewers and readers. Fortunately, my publishers were also happy with the title and did not suggest any changes.Besides writing, what else do you do in your free time?Besides writing and reading books; I practice yoga, support my publisher in the promotion of my book, review books for Muse India, handle professional commitment as Director of a company, travel and spend time with my family. I love to bake and cook, and feel delighted when the outcome exceeds my expectations Do you recall the first ever book/novel you read?I don’t recall the title of the first book, but I started off with the Enid Blyton series, followed by Agatha Christie. Were your parents reading enthusiasts who gave you a push to be a reader as a kid?My mum read a lot and I would accompany her to the local lending library. She was not pushy but I gradually picked up the habit and enjoyed those evening walks to the library after school, with my best friend. She will get nostalgic when she reads this! What are your top three favorite books of all time?It is hard to pick just 3, as I have so many favorites. Hmmm….. The Little Prince, Kite Runner, Reluctant Fundamentalist, Namesake…As a new author, what is your favorite part of the writing/ publishing process? Least favorite. My favorite part is the writing itself and working hand-in-glove with the publishers; the book launch being the icing on the cake. My least favorite part is to face rejections without knowing the reason for it, after waiting for months to hear from publishers. What is the main thing you want readers to take away from your book?To understand the pure essence and simplicity of yoga, without feeling intimidated or inadequateAs mentioned in the book, “Yoga is not about perfection. It is a very enjoyable bonding with our body and mind that teaches us to be resilient and patient.”I would like you to share something about yourself with the readers. Something that does not go in the about the author section something that is the real you?I dream a lot and wish that all my dreams came true, hahaha…And finally, A message for aspiring writers?“Rejections are a part of the whole process of being ultimately accepted and acknowledged, as a writer. Please do not give up, no matter what, and pursue your passion, despite the road blocks. Think of the book lovers and connect with them. Write for them and the passion will always be with you.”Thank you. It was really a privilege interviewing you. Hope you enjoyed the interview. Links to buy the book- Amazon.in Amazon.com FlipkartWrite to her at chirminey@gmail.com

Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.My Education, in olden days completed up to basic 10th class in a Sultan Bazar Government High School, Hyderabad. Then Two-Year Pre-University Course from Badruka College of Commerce and Management at Hyderabad.  My Graduation in Commerce went in from Osmania University Affiliated College, Badruka College of Commerce & Management, Hyderabad.  I did Diploma in Business Management (DBM) course from a Private Institute. I also did Post Graduate  Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) from Private Institution.  I did Typewriting Higher Grade and Stenography Higher Grades from then combined Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education, Hyderabad. How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write? My family heredity has Literature blood. By inspiring elders Literary works right from my childhood, I happened to inculcate the habit of literary writings. I have also worked hard to learn good English and Telugu  languages for this purpose, though my mother tongue is Telugu. My Blood has got some Literary Blood Cells Therefore, I am a little-bit fluent in my writings, as I on and off keep my brain thinking always. More so, I don't like to keep idle myself. If I don't write and work each day, I don't get sleep, and I become erratic without work. What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? In the initial days, when I was writing literary type of work in especially in English, Readers used to comment about the mistakes. I used to refer to English Dictionary for better words. I used to correct myself with patience. I used to write better words in a bad sentence. I have developed the habit of writing English in Flowery Language, so that people/readers should read my literary work i.e., stories, song lyrics, haiku poetry, articles, essays, quotes, so on and so forth. Now  I have become a little bit perfect, as I think myself, and started writing so many things pertaining to literature work.  I am not getting any negative comments for my work. Only I used to get appreciation letters, good comments, and good encouragement and praising notes. I thought I would still contribute more to this World, where Top Level Literary Writers/Authors should Appreciate my works, and my ambition is to have my name in the World Famous Authors/Writers List, as a good Literary Writer, My Ambitions are more and I am working accordingly on daily basis. What is your view about the present day literary work? Present day Literary work is not that of a good Literature work, as evidenced by many Writers works. The standard of English writing is slightly just average. I have observed that my of the Technical and Management Graduates are unable to contribute to literary work, because they are all, to say many  on software line. I observed  that many of the software people never in the habit of writing  articles/stories/songs/literary works, etc. This generation is such.  Only old people used to write good English, as I knew and observed well in my life.  More so, people and writers who are interested to write good literary work, need to get trained from senior mentors and continuously make a habit of writing, as a regular feature in their life. Then only, at once point of time such Literary work could be well recognized. Lest, there are chances of Literary Work getting drowned, due to not having good Writers in the coming generations.  As one knew well, that "Old Water Go, New Water Come".Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? Yes definitely. Digital and Social Media Tools/Devices play an important role to create more Writers and thereby more Readers emerge. Social Medial play an important role in shaping good Literary Writers.  Social Media gives good opportunity for Writers to present their Write-ups through few Blogs which facilitate Writers to present their Mind of Writing. Here, below I will give you a brief Article on Social Media:YOUNG AUDIENCE GRAB & CONQUER SOCIAL MEDIAEach minute, the technology is changing in rapid competitive market segment. Every business entrepreneur wants to have an edge over other competitors. Every businessman aspires for quick turn-over on their end products sales proceeds and wants to become a millionaire or a billionaire bypassing the Constitutional working systems, Acts, Rules, Regulations by violating norms & guidelines of the Ministry of Finance and  Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Foreign Exchange Regulation Act (FERA) and  Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA)Evolving marketing & advertising strategies are a prerequisite and essential in these competitive days in reaching out to customers and for public acquaintance is one part, while giving quick ads in latest tools and websites like LinkedIn, Face Book, Twitter, Wi-Fi and Internet through which messages, communications, ads, gist or gigs or contents of any subject matter of one’s personal, business or marketing could reach global people in quickest time, that too at no cost. But, whereas, reaching global people through News Papers, TV channels, hoarders, sign boards, pamphlets or through any other old fashioned system of ads looks to be little bit costly, slow and may not reach all the global people/institutions/companies.  It has been constantly and incessantly observed that increasing use of social media in personal, business and marketing fields is seen on a higher side. There is no doubt in this. The younger audience use social media technologies too much that too on daily basis, without which, the day will not pass.INDIA, Land of Opportunities: The younger generation and audience, now-a-days look for quickest communication, quick Return on Investment (ROI) and money rotation to meet their business and personal ends. The days are rolling-out with updated new technologies in the fields of Research & Development, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Software Development, Science & Technology, Sports & Culture, Tourism and Film Industry, Liquor Industry, Steel Industry, Printing Technology, Plastic Industry, Leather Industry, TV-Press-Media-Print, Grain Industry, Food Industry, Wood-Mattress & Furniture Industry, Glass & Crockery Industry, Cosmetic & Perfumes Industry, Prefabricated Building Material Industry.Face Book, LinkedIn, Twitter, Wi-Fi and Internet are the present days’ excellent media through which one can develop, personal, business, marketing & sales and for diversification and expansion of business plans and to establish good contacts with global people/customers/clients.These are equipped with wonderful media presently available for all the young audience, all at free of cost, for exchange of various aspects and for expression of ideas and business programs, which ultimately keep one busy in public eye. Moreover, global people view and use these latest technology tools in their daily life for publicity purposes. These are the present day TOOL TECHNOLOGY being used by billions of people all-over the world.YOUTH FOR NATIONAL INTEGRITYTODAY’S YOUTH – TOMORROW’S LEADERS:Today’s youth of the nation are all tech-savvy, broad-minded and rebellious with vast ideas, who could mobilize people of all religion, caste and creed as the youth of India play a crucial role in promoting communal harmony which will lead to socio-economic constitutional changes in maintaining peace in the country, as the youth are the future leaders of tomorrow. The youth’s education in engineering, medical, pharmacy, bio-technology, automobile engineering, R&D, management and in all fields of study, can mobilize people due to professional understanding in maintaining peace and communal harmony without interfering in issues like caste, creed, religion or ethnicity.Tech-savvy youth spreads the peace, love and communal harmony through social media tools like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WhatsApp and blogs. Rapid changes took place through media postings then, after the conviction of culprits in December 2012 Delhi rape case issue. Nirbhaya Fund for survivors of gender violence started due to this case. So, the above tools play an important role in bringing about social harmony.Fine Arts play an important role in spreading the message of brotherhood and peace. Also, young authors, writers, poets and artists come together to enlighten people of India about the secularism in Indian Constitution. One can understand the culture at major cities like Mumbai and Delhi, that the youth cares for personal growth based on their talents rather than they do about caste or religion.Youth having good jobs by virtue of their talent, can bring changes on people around them to maintain peace and harmony in the society without any negative mind set on caste, creed or religion. The government has to work with the youth to bring about unity in diversity for the future of nation. Please tell us something about your literary work. : I am in the habit of writing a good number of stories, song lyrics, haiku poetry, articles, essays, quotes and other content material needed by various people/institutions for so many ways. Then I wrote one good article, 'SICKNESS IN PUBLIC ENTERPRISES, CAUSES AND CURES", Submitted to the Public Enterprises Board, New Delhi, during l986-87.How many ways literature can contribute to society in future? Literary works can contribute to the Society in future in countless ways. There is no end to literary work.  The future of the World in Particular India, has got lot of Literary Writers and their work would definitely put India Map in the Top of the World in Literary Writings. It will happen in the coming generations.  Now, the world's good literary work is known as British Literature.  Indians have good knowledge in literary works. But, as Indians, we have learnt many of the Literature from British Literature. British Literature is a standard literature and its famous World Wide., as per my knowledge.Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?.My Literary work can go outdated. New Literary works by young blood and new generations would lead the good literature work. It is quite possible that in the next 5 years, the literary world in India, would compete with British Literary work. What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets?Community of Poets should be there in each State, and in each Website, including in Social Media.  Each Story Websites in India should have one POETS BLOG, to inter-act with Poets in India especially, directly.  This will be a good proposal. Blogs should have, Poets for Stories, Poets for Song Lyrics, Poets for Writers, Poets for Article Writers etc., so on and so forth. What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers? My message to aspiring Writers are that, Go on writing. put good proper words, get good meaning, get good flower language. To write good English or Telugu or for that matter in any language of proficiency they are.  Inculcate the habit of writing.  Present the sentences and language in a good way, so that  Readers should hail the writer. How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror?:  StoryMirror is a good platform for all Writers, beginners, children, youngsters, youth, elders and aged Writers. Story Mirror works as good Mediators to Writers and Readers through the august Story Mirror. and it encourages all Writers in their sphere of work in all fields, especially in literature work.Would you like to say something about StoryMirror? Story Mirror should have a tie-up, MoU, Agreement, Contract with Film Field and Literary Associations Worldwide, so that the best writings  should be recognized by various fields/associations.  This gives a good motivation and a good recognition to Writers on their Literary Work.  Story Mirror also to diversify in other languages including Telugu, so that Story Mirror can spread to World Telugu People, apart from others Language Speaking People. Story Mirror has to work dashingly and gate-dash in various World Associations Organized contests, for the purpose of Indian Writers including Children, and all contests should be kept open to all people without any age bar.  Story Mirror also to motivate Writers, by giving good gifts and presentations, as is being given by various Story Websites around the World.  This will keep the image of Story Mirror in the World Circles. Here is the link to read my content https://storymirror.com/profile/7lljf2p2/mantri-pragada-markandeyulu/stories
