We can use Technology to provide education to children: We can give quality education by using the technology and by connecting to the globe, and where ever possible reuse the existing information.Use a commonplace for school, like the temple, church in absence of school.EDU-VAN for education: Mobile van will contain equipment like Computer, Mobiles, Mobile gadgets like memory card, Mobile/Radio charge outlet which will be used by the teacher and students. The mobile van can reach to the remote place and can be used to teach the students. The recorded media like pdf can be saved in the mobiles so this will serve as a textbook for children. The children can take the mobiles to their home and can learn. The usage of recorded media such as videos from youtube, how stuff works will help the children to learn at faster/own phase. Probably some rights are needed as these materials are been used by an organization. We need not invest a huge amount in mobiles there are many organizations that recycle the mobiles, with the advancement in technology probably we can get the recycled mobiles at a cheaper rate, and can have the recorded materials in it. Moreover, we need just a device to play media files and have pdf so that will not cost much.Google Hangout-based education: We can ask students from other countries, to provide online class sessions to the refugee camp students. If we can design a Time-Zone based Time Table, and by having collaboration with schools and colleges we can execute this idea. As a part of social service activity, points credit should be given to the students and teachers of various school, where they will be spending 2 to 3 hrs a week in teaching the children on their favorite subject. At the end of the session, the google hangout video will be available which can be used as recorded material and can be reused for clarifying doubts and refreshing the subject.Radio-Based Education: Still there are places which may not have enough electricity so we can use the radio in those places. 3 or 4 dedicated channel for education, where the subjects can be broadcasted repeatedly and weekly once. Children can attend the school (a common place like temple/ Van) and can get their doubts clarified. If that is not possible an interactive radio session can be conducted/Email based question-answer session can be conducted where the children can post their question to the staff/teacher they will send a mail to other teachers and will provide an answer.Bring Innovation in Teaching: In today's world innovation cannot be ignored, so even the teachers should keep learning, and should introduce new approaches in learning, there are many online free courses on creativity and Design labs. Which will be useful for teachers and students. So the teachers/students can enroll in those courses and can share their experiences. One such course is by Novo Education, Creativity course by Tina Selig https://novoed.com/creativity, where you get a chance to interact with professionals from various background. "Nothing can replace Experience, and when some shares it please absorb it!"Knowledge Sharing Session: Let the students learn through the recorded media, and let them be one day teacher. Where the student takes the class for other students, the idea is to improve their confidence and soft skills which are required for their future. In the advanced version of knowledge sharing the refugee students can take the class to the foreign students so they can overcome their fear.Advanced Skill Learning: We can use some mobiles to have an advanced skill set learning, which contains recorded materials on various subjects like "Languages, Photography, Journalism " etc let the student learn these skills through the recorded media. Then UNHCR can conduct a workshop on that subject based on the enrolled student's strength. The accelerated workshops and apprenticeship help them to achieve the job.Security Issue: One of the main reasons, girls avoid school is security reasons. If we can deliver the materials through recorded media through mobiles, we don't need even the internet, they can play the recorded materials and pdf at their own phase. They can clarify their doubt once or twice in a week when the Edu-Van reaches their place. "It's better to learn, than being taught." Moreover most of the girl's dropout during the secondary education and by using the animations we can teach them easily as the "picture is worth more than a thousand words"!Divide and Conquer Education with informal discussion: Let the girls interact with each other, their neighbor/ friend let them learn one subject properly and share the learning with other girls in their locality.Time Management: When a girl becomes pregnant, or she has household responsibilities she cannot spend enough time in school, with the help of recorded media she can learn the things at a faster pace, and by giving 3-4 hours on the important subject she can achieve a good education. After a certain age " We can learn by our-self, but we need to invest ample time and confidence to achieve it.Advanced Skill Learning: We can use some mobiles to have advanced skillset learning, which contains recorded materials on various subjects like "Languages, Photography, Journalism " etc let the student learn these skills through the recorded media. Parents and Families: Parents should encourage their children to attend the technology-based school, as schooling is delivered to their home. So the security issue is been addressed. At the max, their children have to visit the EDU-VAN or Church-based school weekly once or twice. This is a chain reaction when one family follows it, others will start doing it.Communities: The communities can help in setting up the school in the church or other common places, and they have to spread the message that "By educating a girl they are educating their society" during the public gathering they need to spread the message of Technology based schooling and their advantages, such as their children has a good scope to get a job, quality education. So this encourages the parent to send them to school.Though all of these are thoughts can this be realized?

SCHOOLING, overnight, the very word seems to have turned upside down and now it has become a metaphor of death trap. The escalating incidents of suicide, rape, physical abuse, and murder inside the very four walls of the school, has left everyone too shocked and traumatized.
All children have different personalities, so it really is difficult to predict how each one is going to react to going to the first day of kindergarten. Some children will walk off without so much as a backward glance at their parents. In this situation, it's usually much harder on the parent than it is on the actual kindergartener. However, sometimes the child has a more difficult time letting go, and the parents may need some advice on how to best prepare them for their first day of school. Most importantly, begin talking about the fact that your child will be going to school far in advance, to get him used to the idea. Bring it up in casual conversation without making a big deal out of it. Try to speak matter of factly about it, as if it is simply a natural progression, and the next step in your child's life. Sometimes, you may want to mention some of the fun things that your child will get to do in kindergarten, but some children will see through this tactic and may feel that you are trying to trick them. For those children, it is best to stick with the matter of fact approach. In the months leading up to the first day of school, make sure that your child has opportunities to be apart from you on a regular basis. Play dates with other children, visits to family members with other children to play with, neighborhood play, or even staying with a babysitter from time to time, will all help your child become more comfortable with the idea that he will survive without you.As the first day approaches, ask your child if he would like to take something from home with him to the first day of school. Something like a small token or stuffed animal can be easily tucked into a backpack, and may give your child that added comfort that he or she is looking for.If your child is visibly stressed, don't embarrass or punish them. Don't try to force them to relax or to not be anxious. These tactics will only make the anxiety worse. Instead, tell your child that what they are feeling is normal, and it is OK to have those feelings. Assure them that you will help them deal with their feelings so that they can learn how to become calmer about going to school. Speak with their teacher privately so that the teacher knows your concerns. Usually, if you can get your child into the classroom, and the teacher can engage him or her in an activity, you can say goodbye and they will adjust comfortably.

The monsoon has hit most of the cities and villages of Maharashtra more than expected this year. In Mumbai and Thane region, we experienced very heavy rains for more than two weeks. As we are nearing end of July, almost all dams near by Mumbai are over flowing. It is time to visit near by waterfalls or dams, enjoy the waterfall, rain and the green beauty of the nature. In past two years, I along with my family had visited Bhagirath and Kondeshwar waterfalls. This year, we had planned to visit Bhivpuri waterfall at Karjat. But due to last moment changes, we finalised a quick visit to Chikhloli Dam which is located nearby Ambernath and Badlapur railway stations. Both railway stations are close to Kalyan station. It was a quick four hours monsoon trip for us.Read more on http://www.sachinbaikar.com/wp/2018/07/22/chikhloli-dam-and-waterfall/

Epilepsy is a brain disorder which causes repeated seizures. There are many various types of epilepsy as well as many different kinds of seizures. Epilepsy can come in the way of life, especially when seizures keep happening. To control their seizures, people with epilepsy might take medicine, have surgery, or follow a special diet. One can live a normal life if he takes proper Epilepsy treatment. Below few things are pointed out what you should know:1. Epilepsy is quite common. In fact, you might know people around you having epilepsy. In 2015, approximately 3 million adults (age 18 and older) and 470,000 children (age 17 years or younger) had active epilepsy in the United States. That’s around 3.4 million people, that are more than the number of people who live in Montana, Delaware, and New Hampshire combined.2. People with Epilepsy Can Also Live a Happy Life. Many of the people with epilepsy can do the exact same things that people without epilepsy do. There are too many successful people with epilepsy who work in sports, medicine, government, entertainment, and other professions.Individuals with uncontrolled seizures or severe types of epilepsy face more challenges and also find it difficult to work or go to school daily. Few adults dealing with epilepsy have a hard time finding jobs, transportation, and affording medical care.3. Seizure first aid is uncomplicated to give.Around 1 out of 10 people may have a seizure at some stage in his or her lifetime. That means seizures are common, and one day you may need to help someone. First aid for seizures involves helping the person to be safe until the seizure stops on its own and knowing when to call the doctor for emergency help.It has become necessary that professionals such as school nurses and other school staff, law enforcement, first responders, and childcare workers understand the concept of epilepsy and how to offer first aid. CDC provides training programs for these groups through a partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation.4. Seizures can look different than you expect. What comes to mind when you talk about a seizure? In the movies and on TV, many a times they show a person falling to the ground, shaking, and becoming unaware of what’s going on around them. That’s one type of seizure, but it’s a very rare one. Many a times, a person dealing with a seizure may seem confused, stare into space, wander, make unusual movements, or can’t answer questions or talk. At times it is hard to tell when a person is having a seizure, so it’s necessary to learn how to recognize different types of seizures.5. Few Causes of Epilepsy Are Preventable.Epilepsy can be caused by various conditions that affect a person’s brain. Sometimes, doctors don’t know the cause. Traumatic brain injuries, some infections such as cysticercoids, (which are the leading cause of epilepsy worldwide), stroke, as well as pregnancy complications are several preventable causes of epilepsy.

Did I ever say I love you to the moon and back? I haven't, I guess. Even if I have, it would be zero compared to yours. You love me ever since you learned you were going to bring me into this world. And, I love you ever since I gained the little bit of sense and felt I wouldn't be able to live without you anywhere.
Please give details about your initial education and forming years of lifePresently,I am a student of class 5, studying in Prudence School, New Delhi. How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?I am not sure, how it began. I use to finish my school work very fast and would then start writing on bits of paper, loose sheets and in diary. Once my mom asked me to write about 'my most unforgettable moment'. I wrote about my late grandmother. After reading it, my parents, immediate family members, got very emotional. That's how I think my potential was realized by my mom. She encouraged me to write more and meanwhile got to know about this platform 'StoryMirror'. First time when I posted my story on StoryMirror, and the first 'Like' I got from someone unknown to me, acted as a catalyst. Since then, there has been no stopping. What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work?I keep writing because I love writing. I have not faced any problem except asking for votes. What is your view about the present day literary work?I like literature because it gives me ideas, increases my vocabulary, makes me more sensitive. Everytime I read a new story, there is a new reality to discover. I love reading fiction like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Roald Dahl series, Geronimo Stilton etc. The joy of reading these works is immense, as it takes me to an entirely different world of pleasure and fantasy.Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers?Yes, because through digital and social media, the reach to read has increased immensely. Please tell us something about your literary workI like writing and reading about crime, different people, places and also about fiction. What was your first literary work and how was it published? My poems have been published in 'Hindustan Times' newspaper. My first poem which was published in the newspaper was 'Thank You'. I was appreciated by my teachers, classmates and my parents. How many ways literature can contribute to society in future? It is a very strong medium, through which views of people, emerging issues of the society, entertainment for everyone and intellect/passion of the writers can be beautifully expressed and penned.Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?I see myself in the hearts of my friends, peers, teachers and everyone else in the school and place where I live. Five years from now, I will be in class Xth, and I would then like people following my poems, favorite poets endorsing them and also have more ways and platforms to express my views. What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets?Digital media is a good way to interact and share the work. Also various institutions should come forward and recognize poems as a strong medium of expression. What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers?Do what you Love and Love what you Do.How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror? It was very inspiring, great learning and a very good platform to channelize and express my views through story/ poems. I felt very motivated every time my poem got selected by StoryMirror. Would you like to say something about StoryMirror? StoryMirror is a very strong, motivating channel to bring out the creative skill of budding writers. For me, I also liked reading other stories/ poems posted on StoryMirror. It was a good way to interact and know about others and their beautiful work.
