How many times have we heard people say ‘be optimistic and positive in life’? I know I have, whenever things have not been going as I expect them to, there will always be someone giving you a little pep talk on being positive. It is human nature to fall prey to negative thoughts and be pessimistic because, we cannot be happy at all times. Things will always not fall in place and there will be times when you need to work harder than you already are.It is at these stressful times that you should ask yourself... do I really let such negative thoughts take over me...yes! Embrace your failures, your insecurities and your pessimistic attitude instead of just running away from it.Pessimism and negativity can take a toll in your life. They make you irritated, agitated, and restless and can even lead to anxiety and depression. Negativity drains you off all your energy and can have a physical setback to your body. Such thoughts not only affect you but also people around you. Who wants to be with someone who is always brooding and is a pessimist?Have that moment of brooding, of being sad, of letting all your negative thoughts getting to you, but know how to come out of it.Once you have had that moment of pessimism, it is time for you to gear up and overcome the setbacks in your life. Let that moment go away and be motivated to get some action going in your life.How can you do away with such negativity in daily life?What are the sources from where you get such negative thoughts? Are they television, music, a colleague at work, social media? Replace these sources with something better and fun.Stop blowing up small or medium sized issues. It's 2:45 am, the silence around me is bliss, no noise, the lyrics are taking me to a different world and I started fighting my internal demons. We often tend to neglect our mental health. One of the most common illness that is overlooked is depression. People think depression is sadness. People think depression is crying. People think depression is dressing in black. But people are wrong. You toss and turn in your bed so that sinking feeling in your stomach goes away, but it doesn't. You wish your mind could just stop thinking, just for a moment, so you can trick your mind into falling asleep but it doesn't. It hasn't for 3 months now. You remind yourself of happy memories, but there don't seem to be any. The more you try to remember, the more miserable it feels. The worst part is, you don't know what caused this storm. Could it be the recent heartbreak? Or the fact that you've lost all your friends? Is it that you've lost all confidence in life. And that's what keeps you up all night. There's a sense of permanence in turmoil. It doesn't seem like it's ever going to be okay. Days aren't really days; they are just annoying obstacles that need to be faced. And how do you face them? Through drinking, through smoking, through drugs, through cutting. When you're depressed, you grasp on to anything that can get you through the day. Everything's going wrong all at once. With every step you take, your world collapses a little more. Nobody knows what you're going through, no matter how much they pretend to. They can't see what's hiding behind your smile. How can they not? You know what depression really feels like? Nothingness. It feels empty - zilch. There's nothing inside you, nothing around, nothing to look forward to. Nothing to fall back on. A girl always knows the next move of a guy & decides weather to encourage it or diminish it. A yes is always a yes for us but you need to concentrate on the NO. It may be a firm no, or a no which means maybe yes, or a no where you need to persuade a little to make it yes.Anger/Depression/Crying all of these go hand in hand. It starts with anger, changes to depression with time and the final result is crying to take it all off your chest. THE ROOM19 year old Nishantis worried as he enters the room with his mom, its 6 pm in the evening he has bunked a couple of classes to get to the venue, the sun is almost down but he still has his shades on. He picks up a quiet corner further away from everyone and hopes the earth would swallow him.58 year old chatty Betty is on the other side. She is very blissful. She picks up conversations with almost everyone in the room. She is very friendly.35 year old Khushbu is also present. She is busy observing everyone, her so called fellow roommates, the receptionist, the general vibrations and the aura. She is very proud to get to the “room”.So where actually are they? Where one is worried of being spotted another proud and yet another totally blissful!! Let me give you a brief snippet of their lives.Nishant has had phenomenal performance in his academics. He has always topped the class. He has got into the best engineering college in the country. He has plans to set up his own start up dot com. He is introvert by nature but in this digital world who cares?! He is very close to his family and loves them dearly.Off late he worries a lot of the well being of his family members so much so that he checks on them almost every one hour. He believes every single minute that they are going to die. He feels there will be an earthquake or a road accident any minute and his family members will be affected. It took Nishant’s mom a lot of persuation to ask Nishant come along. He is worried on whether he should share this encounter in the room with his girlfriend at all.Betty is a wonderful lady with a heart of gold. She has a degree in chartered accountancy. She is the apple eyed girl of her father. She was responsible for setting up her paternal family’s business. Albeit she found her prince charming sooner than expected and settled down for domesticity at the tender age of 21.All the same she is very knowledgeable and can have rich stimulating conversations from fashion to politics.Her problem is she is confused of her identity and family lineage. She believes she comes from royal family and nobody in her world is real. She believes that her mother is a queen who did not want to take care of her as she did not love her and in turn left her with her current foster parents. This of course is her imagination. She is more than happy to come to the room as she believes she is going to meet a queen.Khushbu is a young dynamic advertising professional. She has everything going right for her. She is blessed to have a supporting family,awesome children and a husband to die for. She is an omnivert if I may coin a behavioral term for her!! Well that means she is approachable and friendly yet does not blend in easily. She does not care what anybody thinks of her and speaks her mind. She is extremely self assured and leaves no stone unturned to fulfil her goals. She has a wide range of capabilities right from dancing, swimming to driving to name a few.All this suddenly disappears when she left by herself. She is always second guessing herself and is very anxious of being lonely. This has led to endless sleepless nights, frustration ultimately leading to bouts of violence. She feels so wretched at times that she contemplates suicide every second day. One minute she is happy next minute she is sad. She is totally clueless on what she will feel next. This roller coaster of emotions brings her to “the room”. She is glad she made it after a lot of contemplation.My guess is you have a guess by now (Pun intended) ! Welcome to the therapist’s clinic!! Do Nishant, Betty and Khushbu have a life situation that warrants a visit to the therapist? Are they having any crisis? Is there a financial loss? Is there a loss of a loved one? Is there a severe health failure? Is there anything out of order at all dear readers in their lives?Now all of situations may well qualify for a psychological health crisis. An issue which exists but is not easily validated. Socially there is a refusal to classify it as a disease. Unlike Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Immunity Disorder, Cancer and so on and so forth there are no symptoms that the body will give out. Quiet contrarily here is absolutely no physical manifestation at all in all of the above cases.Technically they are not “crazy”, “mad” or “abnormal”. They are highly capable individuals. Well what separates them a little bit from most is that their thoughts run a tad more than us. Are not all of us a little weird? Do not all of us have some type of anxiety, imagination or lack of confidence. That’s all that’s about it. Would you give them company in the room without being apprehensive about judgment?It’s a actually a non starter. We all have a taboo about therapist, shrink or in need of a better word clinical psychologist. We are all worried about social acceptance having visited the therapist once. In fact it may even feature in our “dark secrets” that is allowed only the deepest recesses of our minds and hearts. We refuse to share, talk, discuss leave alone consultation.In fact it is so great an outlaw that we are not able to see our own tell tale signs of psychological inadequacies. We continue to lead a life filled with anxiety, depression, insomnia, addiction, stress needless to say and many more forms of emotional upheavals.Somehow when we think a psychotherapist we only think of a person who is deranged who is haggard who is not successful who is probably chained who is hostile who is demented the list is endless. They are the ones who get help because their inadequacies are on display.The ones who really suffer are the ones who cannot see that we don’t have to be psychotic to visit the therapist. We just need to want a better life. We are totally unaware of a much better joyous life that we may have if we care to pay attention to the needs of our mind. For this we need to lift the rose tinted glasses on our perception of “normalcy”. The irony of life is we are abnormally worked up about normalcy!!We need to revamp our approach to therapy. We need to believe that it’s ok to visit a therapist. Why should we deprive ourselves of a good life? The more we address it, talk about it and discuss it the more we improve our lives.Last but not the least! No! We don’t have to worry about changing the lives of the ones who are in the room. They are already the winners. We actually are talking about the lives of the ones who don’t visit and appear alright. That very well may be us!!We all have that one emotion that we cannot handle. We all have that one compulsive disorder that we cannot change. We all have that one fear we cannot get over. It is all about our mind and our soul.If you dear readers don’t feel up to it don’t wait! All over the world, countries celebrate their independence day with great pride and gusto showcasing their strength and progress to be admired and awed by people. However, I wonder at times are we; human beings really free or liberated? Do we enjoy freedom in true sense? I’ll keep my thought process limited to India without going to the other parts of the world.Every human being according to me is free only at the time of birth. A baby has no worries about projecting the “right public image” and is happy doing anything and everything he wants to. As we grow, we are caged, shackled in many chains by the society- Social, cultural, emotional and lately technological.It starts when the baby (I’ll use ‘She’ as a pronoun as it encompasses ‘he’ too J!) is hardly a toddler. Parents love to show off his/her talents without any consideration for his/her moods and fancies. She has to sing or dance and entertain the relatives who are often least interested. Then there is a marathon for the best school in the city. The kid is again forced to mug up the likely questions to be asked at the interview, learn to behave in a certain manner at the age when she just wants to be left on her/his own. Once at school the comparison starts with all the other children. Every parent wants the child to be the best - marvelling at studies, sports, debates and elocutions, arts, theatre, social etiquette and so on. In short she has to be a Superwoman, while the mothers sweat over every small detail like deciding what hobbies are “in”, what vitamin supplements to give the child for super-built body and extra-intelligent brain, what kind of clothes are in vogue for kids and so on. All advertisements put the pressure on parents to make a scientist/ doctor/ engineer or any professional (Please note that none off the advertisements think much of artists or farmersL! No wonders farmers have remained the most vulnerable lot in our “agrarian” economy for decades!). The harried parents, in turn pass on this frenzied madness on to their children. Every parent dreams of having a super successful child prodigy, irrespective of own talents that he has passed on in the child’s DNA at birth. We want our children to follow the career chart we have created for them taking in consideration the status, social acceptance, and money it will yield. What the child’s interests are is totally ignored.Once the school and college marathon is over and youth gets a plum job, then the other social pressures build up. A girl must learn to be graceful, super talented at juggling home and demanding career, must be having all the socially accepted attributes like – fair, tall, slim, social yet home-loving, educated yet sacrificing, modern yet with traditional values and the list is endless.This brings me to the fairness obsession in our country where most girls are bound to be wheat complexioned due to our geographic and climatic conditions. Having a dusky complexion is looked down upon and if you have a darker skin only God or fairness creams save you! I find the advertisements so ridiculous when a girl dreaming of a great career has to rely on fairness creams to prove her mettle! If she wants to remain single by choice then hell breaks loose. If she marries then her womanhood is not considered complete till she delivers a baby. Why I wonder, in a free country it becomes a privilege of all and sundry to barge into couple’s bedroom and discuss why are they not having kids and what could be wrong with them. Can we not let the parents decide when they want to bring in a life that is going to be their responsibility till they are alive?Men on the other hand are forced to bring home a handsome pay package and comparisons of how much comforts and luxury a neighbour can afford to give his wife vis- a -vis the poor husband becomes a main topic of contention. Once they become parents they too merrily join the same rat race that their parents had joined to ruin them.These are some of the socio-cultural shackles I strongly feel about. Emotional shackles too are somewhat intertwined in these as usually our Indian society loves to emotionally blackmail their loved ones to follow their commands. Log kya kahenge is the most dangerous epidemic that has been afflicted by Asian psyche. Social approval is a bug that has bitten all of us. Imagine the emotional state of a young girl when she is more than often rejected because she is NOT fair, slim or beautiful. She is most often an easy prey to depression. I wonder why we give so much importance to external attributes while totally ignoring the more important ones like nature, intelligence, compatibility etc. in a life partner. Are we shopping here for a curio to beautify home or wanting someone with whom we can share our lives! And same things go for men too - what with markets flooded with anti-balding treatments and all those fairness creams for men? He too is expected to earn well, be qualified with the most lucrative degree, have a macho figure etc. I often hear young girls asking for well sculpted men as their life partners. SO now the fire has reached even the other side of the society. At a young age he’s expected to offer all the comforts and luxuries when he’s still building his career!Added to all these cages, the worst shackle is the technology. We think human being created technology for comforts but today it has totally backfired on us impacting every aspect of the society. Just look around and see for yourself what have smart phones done to our lives! The downfall that started with the idiot box and further fuelled with the internet has been completed by the smart phones. Phones are getting smarter and humans are getting dumber. I’ve nothing against technology and if used sensibly it can be a great boon. We can now reach the entire world in a split second. Emails have become a passé with the advent of other more powerful and faster means of communication. Often Facebook and twitter has helped in reuniting people or in sending across a useful message. Today I too am saying what I feel thanks to this technology. We can surely not ignore the good things. However, we can’t turn a blind eye to the damage it does to our most profound institutions of marriage, family and society as a whole. Families are fast disintegrating today as each one is happy to be in his on anda cell created by his Laptop, smart phone, personal TV or a tablet, and is constantly in his world with his headsets on. Cheating in marriages has never been so rampant and easy with the right to privacy. Virtual affairs ruin many marriages as one doesn’t understand that virtual love is bound to appear “perfect” and it’s only when you actually start life together you need to adjust and understand. Recently, a study revealed how social skills are being affected in this generation that spends most of its time in the virtual world. Family time is unheard of with each one immersed in his on virtual world. We forget that though wired from all sides we are not robots but human beings who are bound to need emotions like warmth, love and touch to thrive. The older generation who is not very tech savvy feels the brunt the most. They are mostly treated like a piece of furniture. The youth has no connect with parents leave alone grandparents. In our desire to connect across miles we have been disconnected from our own family.Family outings, dinners and gatherings do happen surprisingly even today but the most time and attention is hogged by these smart phones. Family time has become a joke with each member immersed in one’s cell phone- exchanging messages. Checking face book updates, updating status and so on.The family vacations are more for clicking selfies and check-ins to let the whole world on social media know the exotic place one is heading to. There have been many stand up comedies, what’s app forwards and tongue in cheek cartoons aimed at this but I feel we are quick to ignore these warning bells and laugh it off merely as a humour. So many have lost lives clicking selfies at dangerous spots but we are too slow to understand the implications. Are we really a generation of dimwits and our cell phones smarter than us? A better understanding of depression – which can be prevented and treated – will help reduce the stigma associated with the illness, and lead to more people seeking help. Talking about the upcoming World Heath Day the theme has been decided is Universal Health Coverage. This topic has been taken so that they could cover all different type of problem of the people. The World Health Organization was founded on the principle that all people should be able to realize their rights to the highest possible level of health.“Health for all” has therefore been our guiding from 70 years. It’s also the impetus behind the current organization wide drive to support countries in moving towards the Universal Health Coverage (UHC). We keep running away from our-self, & we start living a life that makes us unhappy at times. Life is too short & all we have is only one life so, we should not let our past bad experience haunt & spoil are present.There are many who do not have good relationship with parents, with siblings & of course wife & husband, but each broken things can be fixed if we make efforts & know how to fix them. "Hindi Medium" ufff !!! this is rarely heard now a days. Ten to Fifteen years back we often heard parents saying that my child is studying in Hindi medium, Gujarati medium, Marathi medium, govt schools etc & they were comfortable enough to accept that their child is pursuing education in their local language. Studying in Mother tongue was consider as pride for the family years back, but now the picture of the entire education system has changed. English has become so mandatory, that the entire education system has being corrupted & has become a business. To seek admission in reputed school has become dreams for many & out of budget for the middle class family. Parents has to pass through high & lows to meet the demands of the luxurious school, coz it has created a mindset that child will not have good career & life if he/she does not study in convent schools or reputed english medium schools. children coming from the lower middle class family pass through mental depression if fees are not paid on time, money not given for extra curriculum activities or any development activities of such convent & luxuries school. Children are being tortured to such an extent that they do not want to go to school. Apart from school even Coaching classes has become business. Parents need to put their children in good coaching class or study center as well, which is equally costly as schools. I still do not understand, if parents are spending huge amount on school education, than why there is need for coaching class ???? The worst part is even after spending huge amount on both, children are still deprived of real education which means practical education instead of theoretical. Students mug up everything & vomit the same during exams, scores good, but forgets what he/she has learnt as years pass by. The govt schools are in such a bad shape, that the govt itself does not want to change their education system & way of learning. The govt schools are meant for poor this is the taboo that we have for it. The education given here is even more poor that students even cannot complain, neither parents can. If govt is funding to run the government school, than standard of education should be followed, the teacher should be monitored & audits should be conducted, so that education of these schools can be up to the mark, & all the schools whether private of govt are on same page. In fact, fees, education quality, all round development of child etc everything should on same page irrespective of private or govt school. Govt should take initiative to control fees hike & should standardize fees structure so that its affordable for parents & can give them a sigh of relief on their children education. Donations should be strictly stopped & legal action must be taken & must cancel the licences of such schools. Even in corporate world people give so much emphasis on communicating in English that good employees who really work up to the mark stay where they are & someone only with good English seeks promotion. Countries like Singapore, China, Hongkong, Macau & many more uses only their local language to communicate & even the software used are also in their local language. I do not think English is only life, yes is good to talk in English, but one should be comfortable in talking in their local language & should not be felt ashamed even if he/she is different in that crowd. I have seen people making fun of those who often make mistake while talking in English or has incorrect accent, grammar, pronunciation etc. Apart from this yes even though studying in English medium we often fear while going for an interview or writing emails, attending presentations, etc coz we fear of being laughed or criticized by others. English has created fear phobia & we often fail & feel helpless in our personal,social & professional life. Sad but Slowly we all have adopted this English speaking culture, etiquette, life style, way of talking & behaving, that we has lost real I, me & Myself in this RACE & have lost being our-self. Let's keep it simple, let it be any medium, but system of education should be same, standard, affordable, acceptable, and must have bright future for our upcoming generation, society & the nation. Language should not become hurdle in personal & professional life. I have just tried to highlight the painful struggles that parents go through for seeking admission in school, colleges, universities etc for their children. I know we all have busy life, busy schedule & there many couples whose life depends on nanny, maids, day care for children etc. At times parents also leave their children at friends place, neighbours place or any relatives place without even having a thought tat whether my child would be safe or unsafe. The dirty mind belongs to strangers is true but we need to accept that even our own near & dear ones could have mind filled with shits & may try to harm your child, abuse your child. We teach many do's & dont's to our children but we forget to teach them a very important lesson that is of their own safety, yes safety of their body, lessons of good & bad touch. Make your child aware about gud & bad sign of touch, talk to them daily, have more conversation about school, teachers, bus drivers, auto driver etc. Parents must not forget that child abuse done by near & dear ones is not a matter to hide, ignore & make your child to suffer & get into pain or depression wherein he/ she cant tend to come out. We see & read many cases of child abuse in newspapers, televisions etc but we only get serious about it the day if any such incident takes place in our family. I request everyone do not wait for such cruel incidents to take place. Get alert & start talking & teaching your child today, coz precaution is better than cure. If any one comes across about any such incidents in schools, tutions, day care centers, NGO's one must immediately light such issues, investigate & inform the police. If we dnt act now than many such strangers will get more gutts to spoil life of several children. Your children are lucky coz they have parents like you to take stand & raise voice for them but there are many who do not have parents, they live in child ngo's, ashrams & have no one to share their pain. It's our moral duty to raise our voice & act against the child abuse. Be a friend to your child so that they can share entire routine & kahani of every day. I appreciate the director to take such a serious topic of 'child abuse' & highlighted the current rising issue for our children. There is a strong message to get serious about your child & their safety. Vidya was awesome the way she performed. It could have highlighted more such issues along with data from schools, child ngo's etc. I give 3.5 start to raise this topic in 'Kahaani -2' . It's a family movie so make sure your child also learns out of it. There is a message for all such strangers that, don't play with the life of any child or else accept death penalty or imprisonment for entire life. How often do we say thank you and really mean it?To God, to people who serve us or to mother nature...How often do we thank God for the eyes we open in the morning? For there are many who couldn't see the brightness of the sun today.How often do we thank God for the air we breathe? For there are many, who are putting a lot of efforts to breathe and there are many again, who just took their last breath.How often do we thank God for the people around us? For there are many who are alone and fighting depression.How often do we thank God for the home we live in? For there are many who have no roof.How often do we thank God for our job? For there are many educated unemployed.How often do we thank our maids, our help and other service providers? For there are many who are in dire need of help but have to manage all by themselves.We are busy complaining and comparing and forgoing happiness ourselves.Today it has been scientifically proven that expressing gratitude makes you a happier person.With this follows my third story "Faith" which was published in Dreamz Anthology last year. Although a fiction, it has been inspired by real life events.FaithAfter collecting their bags, Rishabh and Daman went to hire a taxi while Tania and Disha waited near the exit with luggage by their side. Tania and Daman were enjoying every bit of the picturesque scenery while Disha creeped her chair just opposite to Rishabh.Rishabh, now felt trapped almost like a monkey with its fist in the trap which can’t come out unless he releases the bananas or the nuts inside. Disha’s oomph factor, quite visible in her red strappy dress with blood red lipstick and penetrating eyes were, no doubt pulling him.Suddenly, Daman clenched his hand onto the table with his eyes still stuck to the vast sea and said, “Guys I am going to buy some vodka and wine and enjoy the evening here inside the pool. What say? No sightseeing, no clubbing. Let’s celebrate here for tonight.” All the three immediately agreed with a “wow” and so after the lunch, Daman went out for some liquor shopping while Tania ran and jumped into the hammock on the beach.“I don’t want to tan my body. I am going to my room guys!” said Disha while Rishabh’s eyes silently chased Disha although he chose to relax on the wooden recliners at close quarters with Tania.Tania was basking under the sun and enjoying the gentle touch of sea breeze. Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.I had completed my High School from Our Own High School, Al Warqa', Dubai, I am a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate from Heriot-Watt University, Dubai and a Master of Business Administration graduate majoring in Finance from Manipal University, Dubai.How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write? When I first wrote a poem, I was in grade 10, say before the CBSE board exams started off. There isn't exactly a how I got interested in literature because back then and even now music has been my inspiration, and how various genres bring out what you feel from within was one of the keys that triggered me into writing. It helped me dive deep into my imagination and what I felt inside. What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? The difficulties while writing can be just one or many things combined to be honest. Like one of the difficulties I faced was loss of words, there will be times where you are trying to describe a certain thing or a feeling and you know how the lines should be formed but you are not getting that word that can complete it, and then you may be like ok this is not working and you strike off the line you wrote and then start from scratch to use a similar word or phrase that expresses the same.Another difficulty that I have faced and I guess the other writers too would agree on this is continuity or simply called a flow. When we are in a flow of writing not just poetry, fictions or anything for that matter, we can generate ideas within a few minutes or less depending on how often we write or how deep our imagination goes. I did have difficulty in getting back my flow after I was done with school and it took me around 2 years to get back in writing and I thought I was back but then again with various things happening around you, it does become difficult to carry on. After a pretty much on and off in between, I got my flow back again after my MBA. Yes, we all struggle at one point or the other but the only important thing other than imagination, creativity is the flow. The stronger your flow, the more confident you become and the more you can dive into your imagination bringing out the best in you.What is your view about the present-day literary work? Literature has been evolving over the years, now people not only write about what they imagine or feel, but they also write on current issues too.There are people who have come out speaking about out about their difficulties, abusive relationships, etc that have in turn encouraged others to come out and speak. Depression is a mental illness which is suffered by all the age group people but mostly teenagers. In other words, depression is also known as sever sadness or sorrow a person suffers or sever unhappiness a person feels. Teenagers often lead to depression if they face rejections in life or are disappointed by some things in their life. Depression may lead to many other things. People think that they can never come out of depression but that’s not true. You can always overcome depression. If you are depressed it’s not your fault, if you are depressed it’s because you come across in a phase where you feel terribly sad or terribly disturbed because of something you lead to depression.Depression often leads people on a wrong path which they never wished off. At times its too late when nothing can be done and a wrong step is taken but it is never too late to try changing things and to begin something new. Teenagers are often depressed because of the mental pressure they have because of studies and the career they have to choose. At times being with wrong people and leading towards wrong doings lead teenager towards depression. Parental pressure also leads to sever depression. How you would question? I have an answer to it. Parents often force their children to choose a career as per their wish and will but not what the child wants. Also putting too much of pressure on the child for scoring well and for achieving good grades lead to teenagers facing mental depression if they do not come up to the expectation of their parents, they think they have disappointed them and could not to do what they parents wished. If you are a teenager and you have a unhealthy relationship with your partner and your relationship is and on and off thing it might lead one of the partners towards depression. If you are very attached to your partner and if your partner leaves you, you end up staying alone, reserving yourself, not eating, being sad and being in pain and sorrow and in the end, it leads to depression. And then depression leads to many other things like suicide, isolating yourself and many other things.Depression is more commonly found in woman then man. You lack of joyfulness and happiness and you have lost interest in things you really liked at a point of time. The causes of depression is never been fully understood because it is sometimes genetic, sometimes biological, sometimes psychological or environmental. As I mentioned it earlier depression is mostly found in teenagers or people who are in between of their teenage or adult hood. They get irritated very easily and are angry out of a sudden. At times it’s to difficult to handle because you never know what would happen next. It never too easy. As a parent it is very difficult to handle this kind of behaviour without knowing the reason why is it happening and what is the cause behind it. At that age teenagers often end up not talking to their parents as here is generation difference and thinking difference. But I really think as a eighteen year old that is really not a solution. You would end up doing some thing wrong if you do not share the problem with anyone. If you really start being depressed it would be really hard for you to over come it alone. No ne over comes depression alone because it is very hard. I have been at a phase where was depressed for six months after I lost my best friend because of cancer and it is true that you can never get over it alone. I went for counselling for almost six months to get over depression and it really helped and now I am here. Being in depression is never good because your mind would flow with negative thoughts and negatives things which you might do. You would not speak anything positive because all you would think is negative things and thoughts. Even if you try to think good you would not be able to because your mind would be blocked with negativity. As I have been there at a point of time it just becomes easier if you talk about it to someone close or to someone elder it might just help you and might make you feel a lot better. It is never too late for something but yes that is one of the solutions I personally suggest a teenager who is depressed or who is mentally disturbed. There are many ways to express yourself if you feel uncomfortable to talk to someone face to face write them up a letter about how you are and how you feel. That might help you and you would be comfortable to share your pain with another person and it might just do better to you. If you are a teenager and you are depressed and you are if you are reading this blog, share your problem or pain along with either of your parents who you are close to. If that does not work if you have a counselor in your school or college try talking to them once they might just you something better. If you require more help you can always approach doctors for further help. Depression is not something you should be scared of. Some times every second person is facing depression or has faced depression once in their life. It is never too easy to fight back with it. You do get weak at a certain point of time or you might just want to give up the fight but some day you would just win over it. It is just a fight you cannot do alone and you need someone who you trust enough to understands your problem and is ready to listen to you and help you to recover.
