Wisdom V/S Mind - In Gita Verse 3.1 Arjuna said: O Janārdana, O Keśava, why do You want to engage me in this ghastly warfare, if You think that intelligence is better than fruitive work?When Arjuna uses the word as intelligence he means wisdom, own experience, not the knowledge of scriptures. Also he asked this question from mind and from knowledge. But with doubt. As he already has experience of his wisdom but right now not sure whether to act from that wisdom in this war. He has created a smoke screen for his own experience of wisdom. For him right now subjectivity and objectivity are two different things. But in reality they are not. Life and death are not two different things same way objective world and subjective world is not two different things. They are same. Arjuna in his unconsciousness thinks that war is not productive and pleasurable work, but it’s for the ego. Why I should use my wisdom for war instead of some joyful, creative and pleasurable work. Right now in his unconsciousness he thinks that war not align with universe and not according to the wisdom. I need to use my wisdom for the productive work, creative work, which give me pleasure.In our life most of us have gone through the experience of parents scolding us or giving us punishments. In that moment we don’t feel good, neither our parents feel good about it but parents knows that if this pain will teach my child to become wise in their actions they are ready to take that pain, they don’t hold themselves that how people around them will feel about it. For them the future of the child is more important than what others think or say about it.Universe also has given us soul, life to the body. They will not like us to take any action where we are unconscious regarding present moments demand to act.Same Arjuna was not in the greed, when he had the choice between Narayani sena and Krishna without the weapon he selected Krishna. Right now he is unconsciousness, like when we dream at night we are unconscious but in that also little fragrance of consciousness is there, so we do remember our dreams when we just wake up. Same way Arjuna has his consciousness in his unconsciousness only thing he has doubt that whether I am using my wisdom for war and taking action will bring fruitive result for everyone or not. Exactly like parents. When they have to teach the children certain discipline they look very angry but they are compassionate in their action. That work turn out to be creative, productive and when the child learns through their realization the discipline it is pleasurable also.It's a big challenge and courage is needed to take such steps. As the person is putting whole is life learning and wisdom on the stack.Courage is not the absence of fear. It is, rather, the total presence of fear, with the courage to face it.The word courage is very interesting. It comes from a Latin root cor, which means “heart.” So to be courageous means to live with the heart. And weaklings, only weaklings, live with the head; afraid, they create a security of logic around themselves. Fearful, they close every window and door - with theology, concepts, words, theories — and inside those closed doors and windows, they hide. The way of the heart is the way of courage. It is to live in insecurity; it is to live in love, and trust; it is to move in the unknown. It is leaving the past and allowing the future to be. Courage is to move on dangerous paths. Life is dangerous, and only cowards can avoid the danger — but then, they are already dead. A person who is alive, really alive, vitally alive, will always move into the unknown. There is danger there, but he will take the risk. The heart is always ready to the risk, the heart is a gambler. The head is a businessman. The head always calculates—it is cunning. The heart is non-calculating. This is courage.Right now we all can see that Arjuna’s body is alive but he is dead. Non-alive. Look in our life when we don’t want to move into the unknown, respond to the present moments demand we feel certain death in us.Remember life incidence when you are passing through the road and someone is teasing the girl you will avoid to protect her and try to run away from that place. If you run away from that place without giving help you will feel guilt in you, as if some part of yours, you will find dead, non-sensitive. But somehow if you create courage and help her even if you have to face a very dangerous situation but after that you will find certain life in you, satisfaction and fulfillment in you. If you will find sensitivity in you. You will find grateful towards universe.Arjuna needs to take step against his mind which gives lot of excuses for not to respond in the present moment circumstances but to run away. He needs to have the courage to follow his wisdom and not mind.
Sacrifice Your Ego - In Gita Verse 3.9 Work done as a sacriﬁce for Viṣṇu has to be performed; otherwise work causes bondage in this material world. Therefore, O son of Kuntī, perform your prescribed duties for His satisfaction, and in that way you will always remain free from bondage.Krishna’s this word are wonderful, it says that we always try not to act because we have got fear of creating bondage from our action.It is very easy for us to go into such excuses for not doing our act, whenever we have to take any action at that time we have a choice how to act from our subjectivity, which will release us from all the bondages. We are unable to see this opportunity as we never live consciously. We always like to follow others. If our action comes from subjectivity then the same action will become Sacrifice for Vishnu, Universe.When we choose to take action from our subjectivity it needs courage and responsibility towards ourselves. When we take our own responsibility indirectly we drop to follow anyone. We drop our cowardliness. We drop our personality. Person who don’t want to act from his subjectivity he is coward and person who choose to act from his subjectivity he is courageous and individual. Individual has courage to live in unknown and unknowable. He is not demanding. He just live as per the present moments demand. He is not judgemental. He is prayerful but not demanding. Demand comes only when we create resistance to act. Our resistance to respond in the present moment is nothing but our ego, which wants to follow someone. When we become follower we are entering into bondage.In my blog Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.9, I have mentioned how Gaur Gopal become individual. He had all the temptation to follow the family and society, but he stood up as individual to take sanyas and not only that after his sanyas he is guiding many people to live as individuals. This is real Sacrifice to Vishnu, Universe. If he would have followed the family members advise or society he would have created bondage.Your bondage is yours, how can my truth cut your bondage? You have created your bondage out of your ignorance, you have to create your own liberty out of your realization of truth. Nobody else can liberate you. Only you, and only you.So what is bondage? – bondage is something which you have to do as an obsession, as a compulsion. You never wanted to do it and you have to do it. You have to go against yourself, whatever it is, it is a bondage. If you are just floating and it is what you always wanted to do with your total heart, your total being, it is freedom.What Krishna says to Arjuna that right now due to your own ignorance you want to act which will create nothing but bondage. If you wake up and look from your own self suddenly you will realize that you have courage to act from your subjectivity. It will liberate you. It will be the real Sacrifice that you will be offering to Vishnu, Universe. Because you have kept your ego, your personality, your image to the society everything on the stack.It is easy to become part of the society and get into the rut; it is difficult to get out of it. And once you are in a rut, you start becoming afraid. What will happen if you get out of it? You will lose money, you will lose this, you will lose that. But you are losing your life all the time.Life should be the supreme value. Nothing should be put above life. Krishna call a man religious who puts life as the supreme value, and sacrifices everything to life, and never sacrifices his life to anything.Never sacrifice your life for anything. Sacrifice everything for life. Life is the ultimate goal: greater than any country, greater than any religion, greater than any god, greater than any scripture, greater than your desire. But nobody is going to say that to you, no leader is going to say that to you because then their whole business is gone. No priest is going to say that to you because then their whole business is gone. If you understand Krishna well, then become part of the society. You are part of the society; do only that which is needful, but never get lost.Krishna is saying to Arjuna that you have lost in the society just for getting some kind of recognition. Realize this, Sacrifice everything for Life. in nutshell Sacrifice your ego for everything.
Gorakhnath - In Gita Verse 4.20 Abandoning all attachment to the results of his activities, ever satisﬁed and independent, he performs no fruitive action, although engaged in all kinds of undertakings.Krishna's words we will understand by teaching of Gorakhnath.He releases his embrace and shatters illusion… Gradually drop attachment, infatuation, greed, because whatever you are holding onto outside will be taken away by death.In a very simple words Gorakhnath says that to drop or come out of attachments is only way to know that our attachments are illusion. So it is better to release them, which is your death. Death is not of the body but when we live with the attachments that is death. Our attachments are maya. When religion says that world is maya we have taken it literally that world is maya, they only says that the our attachments for the objective world is maya.Once you understand through your knowing that our attachment is our death, our greed, infatuation, everything will be gone with death. In Buddha’s word with this knowing immediately you will be in middle. You will eat but only to survive the body not for taste, in that process you will enjoy the taste but you will not overeat. According to Krishna this act is ‘he performs no fruitive action, although engaged in all kinds of undertakings.”If you let go on your own before death takes it away from you, you are immensely rewarded, you are blessed. Death never comes again to one who leaves everything behind before death comes. Then you have nothing which death can take away; you have dropped everything on your own. This is called sannyas, renunciation.Dropping does not mean escaping; someone who runs away is still holding on. This is why he runs away, otherwise why should he run away? If somebody leaves his wife and escapes to the forest it only means that he is attached to his wife. Otherwise what is the fear, what is he scared of?If things can be dropped right where you are. The idea of running away is a mistaken idea. Running away is cowardice. Letting go does not happen through running away, it happens through waking up. Just look with awareness. Slowly, slowly become conscious and you will find that, in the light of your awareness, that which is worthless looks worthless, and whatever is seen as worthless you won’t be able to hang on to, your embrace will be released.According to Gorakhnath - He releases his embrace and shatters illusion: Vishnu the sustainer washes his feet.The great god Vishnu comes to massage his feet. Daring statements! The person who was able to say this was certainly a man of courage. Someone who makes Vishnu massage people’s feet has some daring, some courage. He is no ordinary man.Die, O yogi, die! Die, sweet is this dying. Die this death that Gorakh embraced and awakened. In love one has to die. Love is death. And someone who dies attains to the eternal, to the immortal.Gorakh is very simple man with his own extraordinary understanding. When you drop your attachments, which is illusion, you have become very ordinary person with extraordinary understanding, one who has achieve this understanding for him even the God Vishnu comes to massage his feet and he will not resist as he has dropped his attachments for the God also.He is not saying to strengthen your ego his words only says what Zen says - when you eat - eat, when you walk - walk, when you sleep - sleep. As I have mentioned in my this blog you will be in middle, you will eat but not for the taste but for the requirement of body, in the process you will enjoy the taste but because of taste you will not overeat.Krishna tells Arjuna to dropped all your attachments including for yourself and then you will performs no fruitive action, although engaged in all kinds of undertakings.

The news that attracts my attention in the newspaper is which is based on human relations it could be on political grounds, social grounds or even personal groundsYou might have seen an advertisement coming these days on television where a boss called Mr. Hari Sadu throws a paper on his colleague the same person spells Hari Sadu asH for Hitler A for arrogant R for rascal and I for an idiot. While the person is spelling his name the face of the Boss just worth looking at the boss’s face becomes blankWhy so?Every person should watch this advertisement honestly and realize – If he is not Hari Sadu in all walks of life?It is very easy to point a finger at others but very difficult to understand that if I am pointing one finger at others at the same time my three fingers are pointing back at me.It is a fact that human relations in all walks of life have been affected badly because of many reasons these days if we try to find out the reasons we may make a huge list.It is not important to know what are the reasons, which are affecting human relations; a rather important thing is how we can improve themI am not a human relations expert but I certainly live in this world and am a part of relationships, therefore, I would like to share my views with you all1- Stress- How many of us feel stress daily? Almost all of us feel stress daily the reasons may be different for each individual. Some of us may be having stress in office may have a Boss like Mr. Hari Sadu. She replied he is grown up and knows what is good for him I need not interfere in this. The same answer my friend gave when someone told him that I saw his wife traveling in a car with someone else. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.—Margaret CousinsGratitude is the word which come by your heart when you feel gratitude towards other.Yesterday on teacher's day I try to give my gratitude to the people who gave some impact in my life.I mean to the people I am really grateful what I learn from them.So when I reach home I message to the people I feel to gave gratitude on that.Although it's very embrassing and little awkward to send the message because sometimes you never think what the other people think toward your gratitude. Are they might chuckled for my message. Lot of things came through my mind through out the day but at the end of the day I get some courage and send the message.And response toward gave my gratitude was wow.So my point toward this answer is that.If you feel to say something never concealed yours through in your heart. It's better to speak the words which are confined in your heart.It's really make people valuable.Sometimes given gratitude is not just show-off but it's really meant to be.Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.
Be Fluid - In Gita Verse 1.21-22 Arjuna said: O infallible one, please draw my chariot between the two armies so that I may see those present here, who desire to ﬁght, and with whom I must contend in this great trial of arms..In the Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.20, says that Arjuna took up his bow and prepared to shoot his arrows. Suddenly before releasing the arrow he said to Krishna, whom he addresses as the infallible, please take my chariot between the two armies so that I may see those present here, who desire to ﬁght, and with whom I must contend in this great trial of arms..This shows that before the war actually starts he wanted to see all the warriors of both the sides. He did not say that I would like to see only Kaurava warriors. He said that take in the middle of both the armies, he wanted to look again at everyone not to judge but to observe. This is the difference. When someone wants to judge he also observes but he only observers the objective world and not both the sides . Someone as an observer wants to observe, he will observe both sides everything. Both persons approach is different.The person who wants to judge that person’s approach is comparison and finding fault with others. Person as observer will not only see the opposite side but will also very carefully see own side too. He will be observing as a neutral person and find out what is the strength of both the parties and how our strength can be used, without becoming unconscious about it.He was knowing very well that if we focus on others and find fault like the Hare, Tortoise will win. So don’t become unconscious regarding our strength. Before the war started it’s the right time to watch everyone again.Everyone from both party were ready for war, means they were ready not only with their arms but also with their strength and weakness.This observation will be very much useful during the war - for his party both, strength and weakness can be taken into consideration so if they become unconscious regarding their strength at any time we can remind them. If they become prey of their weakness immediately they need to be protected.But the opposite party mistook their strength and fell prey to their weakness. This immediately needs to be arrested.How you use your observation changes everything. How you convert all the odds and unfavourable into favourable. This plays very important role in accomplishing our goal. Whereas we need not focus on the goal but move towards the goal. We are afraid of change this is the reason we want to focus on goal. Goal is in the future and change is in the present moment. If we change our direction in this moment everything will change.Remember: we don’t want change. We are afraid to change because with the change new responsibilities, new challenges will arise. And we are afraid whether we will be able to cope with them or not, so it is better to remain with the old because with the old we have become skillful, efficient, with the old you are the master. With the new, who knows? You may be the master, you may not be the master.Arjuna showed courage to look into present moment, after all the arrangement was done, still he wanted to relook into every ones arrangement and preparedness and whether any changes were required. This needs tremendous courage. Anything can happen when we relook at our preparation.Gita is not somewhere at the end but from the beginning it says that be aware and alert regarding your present moment, and you will be able to move into the next moment with awareness. Don’t get stuck to your goal but become flow in the present moment’s act. Be fluid.If you become more fluid, you begin to move in a less fixed way; you become one with your consciousness.Water represents the changing element, the eternally changing, flux-like phenomenon. Those who are ready to change, and forget and forgive the past, and are ready to go with the moment, are the real human beings because they are the adventurers. They know the beauty of life and the benedictions of life. And life reveals its mysteries only to these people, and only to these people - because they are worthy, they have earned it. By risking, they have earned. They are courageous.In the water blows the wind of the Gentle.And if you become a water-like phenomenon - changing, constantly changing, moving, flowing, never clinging to the past and the old, always searching for the new and always enjoying the new - then the wind of the Gentle blows, then grace descends. Then beatitude descends in your being. Then the first dance of the divinity in you that is called “the wind of the Gentle.”God is very gentle. He never knocks on your door. You never hear His footsteps. When He comes, He comes so silently, without making any noise. Unless you are water-like, the breeze of God will never dance on you. First become fluid.
Mystery - In Gita Verse 2.47 You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.Now Krishna is saying something how we can live in this objective world through our subjectivity. Perform your prescribed duty means, in the family to your children as parents, to your friends as friends, to your spouse as spouse, to your society as a human being, to your nation as citizens, to the world as one body, in the universe as a whole.Every stage your action is needed what you have to deliver or give. Just focus on what you have to deliver play your role joyfully, and don’t even wait for the fruits. Live into the mystery.Existence is waiting to receive us and it can only receive us when we can deliver our actions. Not by demanding even the fruits of the actions. This is real MYSTERY.Existence is a mystery. It is not something that you have to solve. It is not a problem, nor is it a puzzle; there is no solution to it. No philosophy can demystify it. You can experience it, you can enjoy it, you can dance it, you can live it, but you cannot know it.The young mother is skeptically examining the new educational toy. “Isn’t it rather complicated for a young boy?” she asks the assistant.“It is the very latest idea,” replies the girl. “It is designed to adjust the child to living in today’s world. Any way he tries to put it together is wrong.”But this small anecdote is true about existence. Any way you want to explain it, your explanation is wrong. Those who know it do not try to explain it. They only describe its beauty, its truth, its glory, its blissfulness. They only give you some indications that may create a longing in you to find out what it is.Once you enter it, you will forget all about finding out what it is. Enjoying it so much, who cares what it is? What are you going to do with your explanations? And anyway there is no explanation. The whole of existence is only an experience without any explanation. This is it's transcendental-ness. It transcends all understanding, all knowledge, all explanation, all philosophy. But you can experience it. You can become one with it. It is always ready to absorb you. Just as the ocean is ready to absorb any dewdrop.Existence is always waiting and willing, welcoming. You just have to learn a little courage, just a little courage. One jump and you are gone forever into the mysterious. You yourself become a mystery. Every mystic is a mystery. He has become one with the ultimate mystery. Mysticism is not a religion because it has no theology, no philosophy, no doctrine, creed, cult. It explains nothing. It simply shows you the way to move into the unexplainable. It opens the door of the unknowable and pushes you in.There is a beautiful story about the Great Wall of China. It must be a story because nobody has found the spot up to now. But it has been reported for almost three thousand years that there is a spot on the China Wall… The wall is thousands of miles long and broad enough for a car to move along it. It is one of the miracles man has achieved. Millions of people died in making it. It took hundreds of years to build. They created almost a mountain against invaders.It was reported again and again that there is a spot somewhere on the China Wall where, if you place a ladder and go up the wall… Whoever has done that simply reaches the top of the wall, laughs loudly and jumps down the other side, where there is a deep ditch. The man is finished; you cannot even find pieces of him. But before jumping he laughs very loudly, perhaps the first belly laughter that he has ever laughed, with his whole body. It is the most mysterious point on the wall. Many have reported that they have seen people reaching the point where they laugh and jump. Nobody knows why they laugh.All the circumstances or the assignment whether it’s of the objective world or subjective world, it is there to give us the experience of ourselves, you will not find anything but belly laughter.When Krishna is saying that don’t expect the fruits means Universe is waiting to embrace you, to give you the experience of wholeness.So don’t take these words of Krishna literally, focus on delivering and in that you will drop the expectations of fruits.To Arjuna he says don’t act from your knowledge because it will be from attachment in the process existence cannot embarrass you, your focus will be on the fruits and not on delivering. Just shift the focus and everything will happen on its own.

As usual, the doctor approached with the report after a looooong hour wait.Giving a wicked look, he said “I have a bad news & a good news. What should come first?”I thought for a while & questioned him “Mr. Doctor. Is the bad news too bad? Or is the good news too good”.He answered, “Dear Suchi, the bad news is going to be tragic & the good news will bring a ray of hope in your life”. After gathering some courage, I told the doctor “Sir. Bad news first”.“This is not to dishearten you, but according to your reports your weight is going out of control now. Your body is blowing like a balloon. You are overweight by 25 kg!” Hearing this, first tear broke free from my eyes, the rest followed in an unbroken stream.Trying to console me, the doctor said “Darling. There is a good news too. This disease of obesity which is haunting you now is totally curable. You are very lucky to be diagnosed well on time. It would have been very difficult if you showed during the final stage”. I was amazed at the doctor’s wonderful statement about my life-threatening disease!!! I collected my reports & walked back home. What is the reason of getting more and more of those tiny creatures, who live in my closet and sew my clothes a liitle bit tighter every night…calories?Then the coolest place of my house having food carrying capacity of 10 peoples…my refrigerator gave a smile at me!!! whenever i lose some weight, i used to get it back in my refrigerator!!!I wish losing weight would be as easier for me as losing my keys, watch, hair rubber band, temper & even mind.” Instead of blaming myself my heart said “Dear, You are not overweight, you are just under tall!!!”.Then, I decided to have a fight between food & me. Everything is fair in love & war & this was a war. I had to win. “A healthy diet for a healthy body”, “You are what you eat”, “Whatever your problem is, your answer is not in fridge” I collected all motivational quotes for dieting & started placing them on my cupboard, my room walls, even on my refrigerator door.Then I started googling “How to lose weight”. There were unbelievable suggestions. A kind lady in one of her articles claimed that she lost 20 pounds in a month by writing 3 pages daily.So, my dear dispirited plumpy audience, you can imagine who is the inspiring hero behind my becoming a blogger!!!I try to remove all things those make me fat…like scales, mirrors and photographs!!! Conclusion: Dear mirthless TMs, rejected Guests and long faced Judges!!!After a passionate, enthusiastic follow up of my diet plan, the day of test match came, when I had to attend a big fat wedding party. Sweets were looking mesmerized in many colorful, fancy dresses. A dark red cherry was smiling at me sitting on the top of triple story frosted cake.“New body is under construction. Please let me go.” I turned backwards only to see hot, delicious, mouthwatering chocolate sizzler on the table. The enemy was very strong & well equipped, while I was handling an unequipped one-woman army. I fall prey to my food desire. “Dear my favorite foods. Things are not going to work between us. It’s not me. It’s you. You are detrimental, disastrous and deleterious!!!” I lie on the floor completely dead for few minutes. I stood up & I rushed to the front table, where a range of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and unsalted seeds, nuts were kept!!! The toughest part of DIET is not watching what you eat. Its watching what other people eat!!! But! I had conquered all the toughest parts related to DIET. So dear friends, how many of you is having courage to hate all the enemies related to DIET and to say ”Good Bye Dear, I don’t want you in my life anymore!!!”

I could feel those things coming back to me, those wounds which were never healed and probably could never be.I am different they say, I can't make eye contact with people and often fail in building a conversation with them and for this they bully me but my Mossi says that I am no different and I ask myself then why I always stay alone and no one comes to me.I gave up on everything no motivation to do anything. As soon as I close my eyes all I could see is my whole life moving in front of my eyes like a movie.People say you don't try to fight for yourself, but they don't actually know what it feels like to be defeated every time you stand for yourself. They don't know about the nights I stay awake just to calm myself down, they don't know about the nights I puke just because taking medicines for my anxiety is not my cup of tea.My lips had frozen and my hands had shivered when I had tried to gulp down the sleeping pills and poison.After crying for hours about my miserable life I often dial computerized voice number when I need to cry and speak my heart out.Today, as I empty the sleeping pills and bottle of poison, my lips don't freeze, my hands don't shiver and I finally know I am not going to be like this for the rest of my life.But wait, who cares? No one right? Everyone loves to advise you for free but no has the courage to stand by your side and say I am there for you no matter how worse your condition.
Mental Laziness - In Gita Verse 1.8 There are personalities like you, Bhīṣma, Karṇa, Kṛpa, Aśvatthāmā, Vikarṇa and the son of Somadatta called Bhūriśravā, who are always victorious in battle.Duryodhana recollects all the names of the victorious and brave men in his army who were always victorious. Now in this war what was different; leadership had changed. Earlier Bhīṣma was leading the war. This time Duryodhana was leading the war.In my blog, Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.2, I had written about Parrikar, a farmer’s son changed his approach for selling the watermelons, and the quality of watermelons in 5-6 years has gone down to such an extent that to bring that quality back it needed 200 years. When leadership and approach changes everything changes. The victorious personalities will become useless.Duryodhana was the initiator of the war. Even though Dronacharya is commander of army, he was not permitted to give any suggestions of what he had viewed. Only Duryodhana's will was supreme. He gave Dronacharya responsibility but no freedom. Dronacharya wasn’t permitted to make any observations nor suggest any innovative plan in arranging the army to win the war. Being the Chief of army Dronacharya was confused, how to see and assess the present situation, how to convey his observations and his plan of action. He was plagued with his vulnerable position.Whereas Pandavas had clarity from the beginning. They had decided to seek Krishna‘s advice in their entire planning for the war. It was very clear for Pandavas that if Krishna decided that war is inevitable only then they would fight. Even though all the brothers wanted their Indraprastha which they had lost in the great gamble. Duryodhana had vouched to return it after the exile. But Duryodhana had refused to give back their Indraprastha after the exile when they requested Krishna to go to Hastinapur as ‘Shanti Dut’ on their behalf. Duryodhana refused to return the kingdom Indraprastha. Krishna was confident that Duryodhana would agree to give at least five villages instead of Indraprastha to avoid the war, Pandavas would willing oblige to this decision. This is called trust.Whereas Duryodhana's action speaks of humiliating his army chief and not having any trust in him. Not even asking his views and suggestions for the arrangement made by Pandavas. Dronacharya was forbidden to take any decision as commander of army. In this way he had killed Dronacharya before he was actually killed in the war.People like Duryodhana are mentally lazy. Person who is not ready to think and take the actions, is mentally lazy.God has given you the power to control your mind and to be free from pain and sorrow. Laziness in body and mind must be driven away before you can enter the kingdom of God. It is better to be a success in the eyes of the world than to be lazy, but you will never attain true happiness unless you combine worldly success with spiritual success through daily inner communion with the Lord.Resurrect Your Mind from Mental Laziness:The key to happiness, power, and health lies within your mind. Mental laziness and lack of initiative and perseverance are the greatest enemies of success in any field of activity. A mentally lazy person grunts and moans, and considers it a terrible expenditure of energy if he must take time to think, plan, or create. He is unwilling to initiate creative or self-emancipating thinking. We can understand physical idleness, when it is sometimes necessary for relaxation from overwork, but we cannot excuse the mentally lazy person.To pass life’s tests, you will need to develop elasticity of the mind. Tests are not meant to crush you. They come through the natural law of progress, to help you develop your mental powers, and to advance from lower to higher levels of willingness, effort, and creativity. Most people give up and fail, but in order to succeed you must learn to persevere in your effort towards your goal.If you are suffering materially, do not add more injury to yourself by mentally accepting defeat. Even if you have no job, for your own good, you have no right to be depressed. If you sit in your home moaning and sobbing, you are paralyzing your mind with sorrow instead of keeping it busy with the kind of creative thinking which alone can show you a way out of your difficulties.Never allow your mind to entertain human thoughts of limitation and you will see your life change for the better. If you allow such thoughts to take hold you have already lost half the battle. Every new effort after a failure must be well planned and charged with increasing intensity of attention.Your Will Must Be Guided By Subjectivity:When Jesus said, “Let Thy will be done,” what did he mean? Many people misinterpret the real meaning of Jesus’ statement and preach a dangerous doctrine of not using the will.Jesus meant that when you attune your will with God’s will, which is guided by your subjectivity, you are then using divine will. But you can not know what divine will is until you have developed your own will to its fullest potential. Only by using your own will power rightly can you contact God’s will. By deep concentration and receptivity in meditation, you can establish that divine contact.The power of a strong will, guided by your subjectivity, is unlimited. To its possessor nothing is impossible. The will is the weapon by which you can vanquish all failure. You must, however, make constant use of it; then it will serve you faithfully and always be sharp and keen edged. Do not will and act first, but contact God first and harness your will and activity to the right goal.Pandavas also had will and Duryodhana also had will. What was the difference. Pandavas had will along with courage to start with their limited resources. While Duryodhana did not have the courage to look at resources he had. Whenever you start your act from your resources immediately you connect through your subjectivity to the divine will.

The way you think, is the way you become. It is not just the volume of efforts you put in, but also the type of thoughts you possess. The thoughts that you have in your mind, have an intense impact on your behaviour, success, existence and your emotions.The brain stimulates responses in accordance to the gestures it receives.So, if you develop good thoughts, you’ll have a positive impact . For example: Whenever you are struck with any problem ,don’t panic. Just give your brain positive gestures like everything is normal, I can deal with it.Giving such positive gestures prepares the mind and let’s you stay calm.In the same situation, if you express dismay or get thoughts in your mind like,’ I can’t do anything, Everything is done,’ then your mind gets prepared in such a way that you become all the more alarmed and tensed. Although having positive thoughts can’t solve your problem,’but it will atleast give you courage and inspiration to solve it.I don’t want to stress on the point to have positive thoughts but instead I would suggest you people to always have such thoughts that will make your life simpler. Where some thoughts make up your life , some thoughts destruct it.Thoughts come a lot, some help you trot while some cause you rot. Books became my gateway into this wild jungle of imagination. We all read books in order to receive formal education but my relationship with books is ever dynamic. I remember being 10, with 4 comic books in my hand eagerly waiting for my study table to be delivered to my house. I promised myself that I will study on this table and read on this table all the time. It was the perfect table with a little book rack attached to it. Soon, the books started coming in.My grandmother tucked me into bed every night, only after telling me hindi stories. So even before I could read, my relationship with stories had already begun. I started writing about my mundane life as if it was a wild adventure, after reading "The Diary Of a Young Girl" by Anne frank. It baffled me how I could connect to characters in these books, who lived in these in places I have never heard of. I feel like I could read more books and develop telepathic powers someday, just like Matilda. Winnie the poohtaught me to be kind in the most humblest way possible. In my imagination, I was a part of every story I read. I understood how stories have the power to change the way I look at the world.When Robert Frost walked the road not taken,he lightened this new sense of hope and courage in me. Poetry became my way of expressing myself. I began scribbling poems in english, on the margin of my notebooks. I found the kind of friends, I aspire to become in the perks of being a wallflower. I found a mentor when I spend my Tuesdays with Morrie, who taught me the importance of being compassionate, taught me about the fragility of life and the value of memories, taught me to love or perish. She taught what immense bravery and standing up for others selflessly entails, when she stood in the face of death and told the gunman "I am Malala". She moved me in ways I hadn't been moved before. When I thought I was hitting rock bottom, the alchemist showed me how the possibility of having a dream come true makes life interesting, makes every morning worth waking up to and that the secret of life is falling seven times and getting up eight times. Rupi Kaur put her vulnerabilities in few sentences, on a paper for the whole world to see. Being honestly herself, she gave the world an insight on what a revolution it is to just love yourself. I wish to take something from every book I read. To become a reflection of every character that somehow touches my life. The person I am is the aftermath of all the books that I've read.

The New York Times Magazine. 8th October 2006, 1-19Anupama Rao, “Death of a Kotwal: The Violence of Recognition.” In The Caste Question: Dalits and the Politics of Modern India, Anupama Rao, University of California Press,241-264. Man is in the forever need to make himself advanced and supreme. In a rut to reach the top of his own and exceed others’ capacity, varied levels of living are created. The greedy supreme Man reaches the Elite level, while the other exceptional humans and non-humans fall at the subaltern specie level. This paper argues how when these Elite humans, subject to disruption over the subordinate, find humanity those groups to justify their heinous acts. By attributing and hence destroying affection,empathy, courage and other similar key features to the subalterns, humans try to shift the blame of being the cruel and corrupt over to them. Coexistence of individuals in any group of the living leads to a natural bond of affection and connectivity. Owing to the constant greed of Man to advance, He takes it upon himself, to intervene in the subaltern lifestyle and produce disharmony to reach the top. Siebert in his essay confirms how animals are most comfortable in their natural habitat and admonish any kind of trespassing. He claims that, “Elephants, when left to their own devices, are profoundly social creatures”(5). Their intricately organized community is a symbol of compassion; a common characteristic of the humane. After considering this, the Man gets an instinct to steal such a trait common to him from any specie which is unknown. Upon action, he goes as far as redeveloping their habitats and lifestyle. And hence a sudden challenge of disbalance is created. He indulges in a series of gruesome acts such as hunting, poaching and culling to extract resources off of the non Human, and thereby extracting the humanity off of them. Upon disruption, elephants too rumble in protest. In a maze on who should reach the top, be free and unique, the companionship is lost. Rao expels similar ideas and expresses how exertion of power by the the ones in authority and rule over a minority group renders discontent and division in a unified community. She reflects the incident and writes, “In fact they were dependent on Ambadas. With the entry of the Shiv Sena two years ago , the first seeds of discord were sown.” (252). The community which had recognized representatives and leaders collectively, was now to be in a state of separated opinions because Man in power imposed himself to disturb a tranquil habitat. The police and press, even after submission of members of the Elite party who were thought to be the convicts of Sawane’s murder, the meek humans didn’t settle for the punishment but encouraged further investigation. This act of refusal to admit defeat and crime committed plants seeds in the hearts of the natives from the subaltern to quit their humanity and battle the Human-Monster. Where in both the cases, the Elite Human intervention was out of greed and power, the distortion created rendered the Dalit’s powerless and elephants in pain. In an attempt to make the world rosy for existence where Man leads, he paints the universe with colours of dissatisfaction and disbelief.In the world where survival of the fittest runs parallely across species, when Man subjugates, he also invokes the emotion of liberation. Humans, owing to their intelligence and constant greed for power and knowledge have called up for a battle from many species unlike his. In Siebert’s essay one can witness a history of disturbance caused by man in the world of elephants. He writes, “It is not leaving without making some kind of statement, one to which scientists from a variety of disciplines,including human psychology,are now beginning to pay close attention”(3). In the need to justify his acts of cruelty and show domination, He attributes a sense of bravery and courage to the rogue species but diminishes their struggle infront of himself. While practicing another selfish act, of creating priviledges for self and obscuring others, the human race dissects on the basis of caste. By introducing differentiated humans, Dalits, form the subaltern group which revolts against the Upper castes, the superiors further impose authority over them. Rao realizes this difference and remarks, “However the resilience of everyday practices of stigmatization also conditions Dalits’ continued quest for social justice and dignity”(263). On one hand where social stigmas are created within this segregated society, there is still an ongoing revolt to attain equity with the Upper Caste Humans. When the media, the legislation, the judiciary see the uneasiness of living caused to Dalits and asserts politics into it, the Hindus reward it by calling it a courageous monotonous deed and a part of their lifestyle. Thereby signifying that the atrocities are nothing but a similar humane act which they are bound to deal with. After interfering with these subaltern groups and categorizing their actions as a testimony of the struggle to regain their individuality, the Man belittles their movements and produces the need to explore these species through his eyes of humanity.In order to upgrade their behaviors and functions, the Humans wish to understand other species and create an environment of empathy to gain their trust. This need to gain belief stems from spheres of the subordinate groups when they are disrupted by the Human intervention. Anupama Rao expounds on the Kotwal murder case by sharing the impact created by various findings gathered and reported by institutions. In reality, where the elites formed the face of the state and recognized it as ‘progressive’, they themselves gave birth to caste and encouraged discrimination. Rao expresses the urgent upheaval caused and says, “On September 6, the DIGP and the PCR Cell in Bombay demanded that special police officers be sent to investigate untouchability in the villages mentioned in the Maharashtra Times and Times of India articles” (251). Close investigations were then to be charged as a classic way of repenting the wrong done by the authoritarian humans to create a sense of understanding in the minds of the aggrieved specie. At times in order to make themselves more involved with other species, humans prove themselves to be in the same shoes as others. Siebert after having conversed with Abe reaffirms, ““Elephants are suffering and behaving in the same ways that we recognize in ourselves as a result of violence,”she told me”(8). By recognizing an emotion as strong as violence and equating this feeling in their lifestyle, Humans empathize with the elephants to realize their(elephant’s) individuality in relation to themselves. However the cause and effect of disruption maybe, Man declares self to have dealt with same. After perturbing the non animal’s to the animal’s peaceful lifestyle,empathy shown in relation to their own makes up a successful defensive measure against the barbarism caused.In this ever evolving cosmos, peaceful survival of different species of living beings has taken a backseat. Where species apart from the Elite race unknowingly reflect traits of humanity, Man has learned to extract these subalterns away from traits personal to his. To achieve this, he adopts a series of tasks of ignorance, intervention, destruction and further violence which make the subaltern species ultimately either give in to acceptance or lose their space of existence on this planet. At the summit of this volcano still, Man stands waving his flag of repentance and justification. He started the war and never lets anyone contest or win. With others’ hands tied and his limbs free, the monstrous volcano of humanity erupts. Now he waves the flag for peace.
Today, India is one of the most populous countries in the world, out of which most of the population is youth. Youth percentage in India is more than 50%, young people are full of abundant energy, courage, a spirit of adventure, imagination, hope, and ambition. The young men and women of India should be fully involved and creative work of nation-building and reconstruction. The younger generation, which is more generous, flexible, sensitive and dynamic, can do wonders if properly guided and motivated. In fact, the Youth is the future of India. In our country, children always taught by their parents and elders from their childhood to score good marks and be competitive and practical in life, despite of teaching them life lessons about kindness, loyalty, humbleness, helping others, etc instead of that they were taught to be mean, self centered, money-minded etc. In schools, they just got bounded and trapped between walls that just teach them to study as it is whatever it is written in the book, they don't have any practical knowledge about how the world works, how to behave, how to react in difficult situations of life, how to get rid from the unwanted problems. They don't have direction in life, they are just blindly following each other like a flock of sheep. Most of the youth are not aware of what is right and what's wrong, they are in the age where their extreme emotions can turn them into completely different individuals. They start drugs in very young age because of peer pressure and then became an addict with the passage of time. Their Brain stops working after reaching at one point when they completely dissolve themselves in the addiction. We can take the example of Punjab, where 90% of its total youth population was drug addict once, they even don't get bothered by their families, relatives etc. But all these reflect one-sidedness and lack of proper understanding on the part of the elders and grown-ups. The lifestyles youngsters adopt today are chosen either out of curiosity , peer pressure or fashion, alternatively stress, anxiety, and frustration drive them onto these paths. What is even more alarming is that the attraction of today's youth is no longer for ciggerate, tobacco, alcohol. These are now termed as soft items. The "in" things are cocaine, heroin, brown sugar which are so called as stress buster. Besides it, most of the young generation are living meaningless lives, they don't have any ambition or motives in their lives, they don't have dreams. They don't want chase success they are just living in a parallel universe where they just wanted that everything should work according to them. The time is declining very rapidly and now it's the time that they must realise that life won't work like this, they have to came out from the black hole that is attracting them everyday as soon as possible. They have to realise the meaning and importance of their life. They have to direction their lives in a particular way. The future of our country totally relies on the youth, they have to stop wasting their precious time and lives in drugs.

And then start watching all kinds of energies in you — you are a vast universe!And gradually as you become more conscious, you will be able to put things right, into right places. You are topsy-turvy, that is true, but nothing is wrong with you. You are not a sinner — just a little rearrangement and you will become a beautiful phenomenon.Love and respect yourself and never compromise with anything. And then you will be surprised how much growth starts happening of its own accord. As if rocks have been removed and the river has started flowing.When Arjuna says I am confused means there is doubt. It’s beautiful, this is the way to come out of your unconsciousness.Accept yourself. Respect yourself. Allow your nature to take its own course. Don’t force, don’t repress. Doubt – because doubt is not a sin, it is the sign of intelligence. Doubt and go on inquiring until you find.One thing to understand: whosoever inquires, finds. It is absolutely certain; it has never been otherwise. Nobody has come empty-handed from an authentic inquiry.If we close our doors for fear of thoughts we will be left with blind faith only. This is very dangerous and is a great obstacle in the path of the meditator. What is needed is an open-eyed discretion and thoughts that are clear, resolute, and which allow us to make decisions. This is the meaning of vivek: clarity, awareness. It means that the power of thinking is complete. It means we have passed through thoughts in such detail that all the doubts are cleared. Now only pure decision is left in its essence.Doubt and trust are its two forms. When doubt is transformed trust is the result. But, remember, trust is not opposed or contrary to doubt. Trust is the purest and most ultimate development of it. It is the ultimate extreme of doubt, where even doubt becomes lost because here doubt begins to doubt even itself and in this way commits suicide. Then trust is born.What Arjuna says by accepting his miserly weakness, that with my doubt I surrender to you. Surrender to you as I am, with all my impurities. Please help me to turn towards me and my subjectivity so that I can do my duty and my assignment of universe.
Divine Consciousness - In Gita Verse 2.53 When your mind is no longer disturbed by the ﬂowery language of the Vedas, and when it remains ﬁxed in the trance of self-realization, then you will have attained the divine consciousness.Krishna tells Arjuna once you are indifferent to all the pain and no longer disturbed by pain, the first thing is you have realized the Veda but not stuck to it’s language. You have gained courage to be with yourself and allowing the existence to take possession of you. Here you are self-realized. You are no longer a separate entity in the universe but part of its whole play of the universe. You are ready to change, you are ready to die, you are ready to take birth, you are ready to play your role. You have surrendered to Universe. By surrendering to the universe you transcend self-realization to divine consciousness, Enlightenment.Enlightenment is a simple realization that everything is as it should be.That is the definition of enlightenment: everything is as it should be, everything is utterly perfect as it is. That feeling...and you are suddenly at home. Nothing is being missed. You are part, an organic part of this tremendous, beautiful whole. You are relaxed in it, surrendered in it. You don't exist separately – all separation has disappeared.A great rejoicing happens, because with the ego disappearing there is no worry left, with the ego disappearing there is no anguish left, with the ego disappearing there is no possibility of death any more. This is what enlightenment is. It is the understanding that all is good, that all is beautiful – and it is beautiful as it is. Everything is in tremendous harmony, in accord.Enlightenment simply means an experience of your consciousness unclouded by thoughts, emotions, sentiments. When the consciousness is totally empty, there is something like an explosion, an atomic explosion. Your whole insight becomes full of a light which has no source and no cause. And once it has happened, it remains. It never leaves you for a single moment; even when you are asleep, that light is inside. And after that moment you can see things in a totally different way. After that experience, there is no question in you.Enlightenment means being fully conscious, aware. Ordinarily we are not conscious and not aware.When one is enlightened one is conscious, but one is not conscious of consciousness. One is perfectly conscious, but there is no object in it. One is simply conscious, as if a light goes on enlightening the emptiness around it. There is no object, there is nothing the light can fall upon. It is pure consciousness. The object has disappeared; your subject has flowered into totality. Now there is no object — and hence, there can be no subject. The object and subject both have disappeared. You are simply conscious. Not conscious of anything, just conscious. You are consciousness….…He is not conscious about enlightenment; he is simply conscious. He lives in consciousness, he sleeps in consciousness, he moves in consciousness. He lives, he dies in consciousness. Consciousness becomes an eternal source in him, a non flickering flame, a non wavering state of being. It is not an attribute, it is not accidental; it cannot be taken away. His whole being is conscious.What is enlightenment? Coming to understand, coming to realize that you are not the body. You are the light within; not the lamp, but the flame. You are neither body nor mind. Mind belongs to the body; mind is not beyond body, it is part of the body - most subtle, most refined, but it is part of the body. Mind is also atomic, as body is atomic. You are neither the body nor the mind - then you come to know who you are. And to know who you are is enlightenment…. Enlightened means you have realized who you are.Once Arjuna gains divine consciousness then there is no question of suffering, pain, trauma. He will be just conscious and in that he will allow the whole war to happen as if it is happening in a movie. Where the warriors are just part of the war without any pain, identification, meaning, expectations, desire to win or lose. He will just act his part in the war as totally indifferent.

Fear Is Natural - In Gita Verse 2.40 In this endeavor there is no loss or diminution, and a little advancement on this path can protect one from the most dangerous type of fear.When we act from our wisdom there is a lot of fear we will face. As Krishna says in this verse moving into unknown does not mean any loss or originality. Little courage will protect you from all the dangerous types of fear.Don’t follow your fear instinct, because that is going to make you a coward. It degrades your humanity. It is a humiliation imposed by yourself. Whenever you see some fear, go against it! A simple criterion: whenever you see there is fear, go against it and you will be always moving, growing, expanding, coming closer to the moment when ego simply drops – because its whole functioning is through fear. And the absence of the ego is enlightenment; it is not something plus.“Just a simple principle: remember, anything that makes you afraid, fearful, is a clear indication of what you have to do. You have to do just the opposite. You are not to become a follower of fear, you have to fight your fears. The moment you decide to fight your fear, you are on the way towards enlightenment.”Fear is natural, guilt is a creation of the priests. Guilt is man-made. Fear is in-built, and it is very essential. Without fear you will not be able to survive at all. Fear is normal. It is because of fear that you will not put your hand in the fire. It is because of fear that you will walk to the right or to the left, whatsoever is the law of the country. It is because of fear that you will avoid poison. It is because of fear that when the truck driver sounds his horn, you run out of the way.“If the child has no fear there is no possibility that he will ever survive. His fear is a life-protective measure. But because of this natural tendency to protect oneself…and nothing is wrong in it – you have the right to protect yourself. You have such a precious life to protect, and fear simply helps you. Fear is intelligence. Only idiots don’t have fear, imbeciles don’t have fear; hence you have to protect the idiots, otherwise they will burn themselves or they will jump out of a building, or they will go into the sea without knowing how to swim or they can eat a snake…or anything they can do!Fear is intelligence – so when you see a snake crossing the path, you jump out of the way. It is not cowardly, it is simply intelligent. But there are two possibilities…"Fear can become abnormal, it can become pathological. Then you are afraid of things of which there is no need to be afraid – although you can find arguments even for your abnormal fear. For example, somebody is afraid of going inside a house. Logically you cannot prove that he is wrong. He says, 'What is the guarantee that the house will not fall?'Now, houses are known to fall so this house can also fall. People have been crushed by houses falling. Nobody can give an absolute guarantee that this house is not going to fall – an earthquake can happen…anything is possible! Another man is afraid – he cannot travel because there are train accidents. Somebody else is afraid – he cannot go into a car, there are car accidents. And somebody else is afraid of an airplane…Fear can become abnormal, then it is pathology. And because of this possibility, priests have used it, politicians have used it. All kinds of oppressors have used it. They make it pathological, and then it becomes very simple to exploit you. The priest makes you afraid of hell. Just look in the scriptures – with what joy they depict all the tortures, with really great relish.”Krishna is saying right now because you have become pathological and abnormal due to the fear then everyone will use you, make a fool of you. And you will be busy with them. In the process you will not be able to deliver assignment of the universe. This happens very rarely , that such an assignment can be given by the universe. Unless you are ready you will not get it. If you will become unconscious then I don’t know when such an opportunity will arise. It is advancement. Act.
Tenth labour- Cattle of GeryonThe cattle of Geryon by Jun-Pierre ShiozawaThis labour was for Hercules to acquire the cattle of Geryon, brilliant red cattle that were guarded by Orthrus, his two headed shepherd dog. Hercules, for this task, travelled to the island of Erytheia which lies in the far west. In order to do so, he had to cross the Libyan desert. After traveling for long, he got frustrated by the heat and let an arrow loose towards the sun. Helios, the God of the sun, seeing his “courage” decided to help him and gave him his golden chariot on which he crossed the sea from west to east every night. Hercules rode the chariot to Erytheia, the “red island” of the sunset. On his arrival, he was attacked by the two headed dog, Orthrus. Using his famed club, he kills him with a single blow to the head. The herdsman Eurytion arrived to help Orthrus but fell to Hercules’s club in the same way. Hearing the commotion, Geryon joined the fray, wielding three shields and three spears, three helmets on his shoulders. He was slain and fell to one of Hercules’s poisoned arrows which was shot with so much force that it pierced his forehead. Hercules then had to herd the cattle and take them back to Eurystheus. Hera however, sends a gadfly which bites them, sending them into a frenzy, thus dispersing them. Over the next year, Hercules retrieved them but Hera sent a flood to prevent them from crossing a river that stood in their way. Hercules filled the river with stones to decrease the level and crossed it with all the cattle. On returning to Eurystheus, the cattle were sacrificed to Hera.Eleventh labour- Golden apples of HesperidesThe apples of Hesperides by Remnev, AndreyTo begin this task, Hercules first had to find the island that had the golden apples. In order to do so, he caught the old man of the sea, a shape shifting sea God. In some variations, either in the beginning or towards the end of this task, Hercules runs into Antaeus, a man who was invincible as long as he touched his mother, Gaia (the Earth). Hercules fights him and kills him by choking him in a bear hug while picking him up. Hercules was then captured by king Busiris in Egypt who planned on making him the yearly sacrifice. But Hercules broke free if his chains and escaped. Hercules finally made his way to the garden of Hesperides. On the way, he encountered Atlas who was holding the heavens on his shoulders. Hercules persuaded Atlas to get him some apples because he was related to Hesperides. In exchange, he would relieve him of the heavens until he returned. Atlas on returning, broke the pact and said that he’d deliver the apples to Eurystheus. Hercules conned Atlas into taking his place once more saying that he’d take it back from him after he adjusts his cloak. Hercules doesn’t take Atlas’s place a second time and leaves with the apples. In other stories, he slays the dragon Ladon who protects the garden and the golden apples and then returns to he king triumphant.Twelfth labour- CerberusA statue of Hercules as he subdues CerberusThe final labour demanded Hercules to capture Cerberus, the three headed guardian of the underworld and return to the king. To prepare for his journey to the underworld, Hercules travels to Athens and is initiated in the Eleusinian mysteries. He then enters the underworld with Hermes and Athena as his guides. In the underworld, he meets Theseus and Pirithous, two companions who were trapped by Hades because they tried to covet Persephone. One tale tells of snakes coiling around their legs and then turning to stone, cutting off their escape. In another tale, he invites them for a banquet but reserved seats of forgetfulness for them. They sit in them and are ensnared as they lose their mission in mind. Hercules frees Theseus but a part of his thigh stuck to the chair. However, when he tries to free Pirithous, the earth shakes, thus showing how much he desires Persephone. Hercules then meets Hades and asks if he can take Cerberus above ground. Hades accepts on the condition that Hercules subdues Cerberus without using any weapons. Hercules overpowers Cerberus, slings it over his back and takes it back to Eurystheus who at first cowers in fear. He pleads with Hercules to take Cerberus away and said that he’d relinquish him of all duty if he did so. And so, Hercules’s debt comes to an end
Own Scientist - In Gita Verse 3.40 The senses, the mind and the intelligence are the sitting places of this lust. Through them lust covers the real knowledge of the living entity and bewilders him.Here when Krishna uses the word mind means your own nature, to be awake, budh. Krishna tries to make Arjuna understand that root budh, intelligence, is to know, to understand. But when it’s covered with desire immediately you will become bewilder, don’t know what and how to act. Because when your desires has covered your intelligence you will be disconnected with the whole. Desire can be wiped out only through your understanding and connection with your budh, your intelligence.Buddha knows that which is; he understands that which is, and in that very understanding is free from all bondage: to know in the sense of to understand, not in the sense of knowledgeability. Buddha is not knowledgeable. An intelligent person does not care much about information and knowledge. An intelligent person cares much more for the capacity to know. His real authentic interest is in knowing, not in knowledge.Knowing gives you understanding; knowledge only gives you a feeling of understanding without giving you real understanding. Knowledge is a pseudo-coin, it is deceptive. It only gives you a feeling that you know, and you don’t know at all. You can go on accumulating knowledge as much as you want, you can go on hoarding, you can become very, very knowledgeable. You can write books, you can have degrees, you can have PhD’s, DLitt’s, and still you remain the same ignorant, stupid person you have always been. Those degrees don’t change you; they can’t change you. In fact your stupidity becomes stronger: it has degrees now! It can prove itself through certificates. It cannot prove through life, but it can prove through the certificates. It cannot prove in any other way, but it will carry degrees, certificates, recognitions from the society; people think you know, and you also think you know.Have you not seen this? The people who are thought to be very knowledgeable are as ignorant as anybody, sometimes more ignorant. It is very rare to find intelligent people in the academic world, very rare. I have seen in the world, and I say it through my experience. I have seen intelligent farmers, I have not seen intelligent professors. I have seen intelligent woodcutters, I have not seen intelligent professors. Why? What has gone wrong with these people?One thing has gone wrong: they can depend on knowledge. They need not become knowers, they can depend on knowledge. They have found a secondhand way. The firsthand way needs courage. The firsthand way, knowing, only few people can afford – the adventurers, people who go beyond the ordinary path where crowds move, people who take small footpaths into the jungle of the unknowable. The danger is they may get lost. The risk is high.When you can get second-hand knowledge, why bother? You can just sit in your chair. You can go to the library or to the university, you can collect information. You can make a big pile of information and sit on top of it. Through knowledge your memory becomes bigger and bigger, but your intelligence does not become bigger. Sometimes it happens when you don’t know much, when you are not very knowledgeable, that you will have to be intelligent in some moments.Krishna is saying to Arjuna to come out of your desire, lust you need to be knower and not knowledgeable. He does not refuse the knowledge but he refuse to stuck with the knowledge and not allowing you to become knower from the knowledge. Remember that we all have to pass through the knowledge but from that knowledge if we experiment and create our own understanding then desire cannot cover the intelligence. Like scientist take all the object as resources and for them the outcome is also their resources, as individual we all have to work on our subjective world by watcher of our own self 24X7. Then we become our own scientist of subjectivity, and by watcher of our subjectivity we find anger, desire, hyperness, ect will just disappear from our life. This is blissful state of ours. In this state we don’t become bewilder.
Chhaupadi (Nepali: छाउपडी )It is a social tradition associated with the menstrual taboo in the western part of Nepal. The tradition prohibits Hindu women from participating in normal family activities while menstruating, as they are considered "impure". The women are kept out of the house and have to live in a cattle shed or in a hut. This period of time lasts between ten and eleven days when an adolescent girl has her first period; thereafter, the duration is between four and seven days each month. As per the social custom, women who are unmarried have to stay six days in the hut, married women having both a son and a daughter have to stay five days, and women who have only daughters will have to live for seven days in the hut. During this time, women are forbidden to touch men or even to enter the courtyard of their own homes. They are barred from consuming milk, yogurt, butter, meat, and other nutritious foods, for fear they will forever pollute those goods. The women must survive on a diet of dry foods, salt, and rice. They cannot use warm blankets and are allowed only a small rug; most commonly, this is made of jute (also known as burlap). They are also restricted from going to school or performing daily functions like taking a bath. They are not even allowed to bathe from the tap, in wells or rivers during that period of time. In some villages, there are separate taps and wells for the women. They are completely barred from going near the temple; if a road is even linked to a temple, a menstruating woman has to choose a different path.This system comes from the superstition of impurity during the menstruation period. In this superstitious logic, if a menstruating woman touches a tree, it will never again bear fruit; if she consumes milk, the cow will not give any more milk; if she reads a book, Saraswati, the goddess of education, will become angry; if she touches a man, he will be sick. There is a strong belief among locals that if women are allowed to stay inside the home during their menstrual period it would bring misfortunes for members of family and the family members will fall sick. Male members of the family believe the custom must be followed to avoid any bad luck. Senior members of families and village elders are firm in this tradition, while the young, educated generation cannot gather the courage to challenge this custom.Reports indicate that more than 90 percent of women in Nepal’s far-western and mid-western districts follow the Chhaupadi tradition, whether due to social pressure or according to their own wishes. As they are compelled to sleep in poorly constructed and dirty huts, these women face health problems and other risks. Woman who live in the huts are always at risk of diarrhea, pneumonia, and respiratory diseases. While living in the isolated huts, they also face the danger of attack by wild animals, snake bite or even abuse and rape by their fellow villagers. Women have died while performing the practice, including two young women in late 2016 who died from smoke inhalation and "carbon monoxide poisoning" from lighting fires to heat the shelters during cold weather.Following pressure from rights activists, last year Nepal’s parliament enacted a law labeling Chhaupadi a criminal act. As per the new law, people who force their family members to live in sheds are subject to legal actions. Nepal’s Supreme Court had directed the government to make laws criminalizing Chhaupadi all the way back in 2005; it took more than a decade to formulate the laws. Now that the laws are in place, the challenge is in effective implementation. It is not easy to implement laws to prevent long- standing customs like Chhaupadi. In comparison to the past, there have been some changes in urban areas but such practices are still rampant in rural areas. In this region, it is very difficult to change the mindset of even educated people. Local politicians and political parties can play a vital role in creating awareness at the local level about the harms of this custom. However, politicians are often reluctant to highlight this issue because they fear of losing the support of common people. Parliamentarians rarely raise such issues in the national parliament; instead they want to conceal such social issues. Acceptance - In Gita Verse 2.6 Nor do we know which is better – conquering them or being conquered by them. If we killed the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, we should not care to live. Yet they are now standing before us on the battleﬁeld.Arjuna is now able to see certain reality - he is not sure of who will win. But by saying “If we killed the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, we should not care to live.” his honesty was expressed. He says that if we kill sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, without them there is no meaning to live the life.Without them there is no meaning to live the life - doesn’t mean that he has any respect or love but he was honest with himself. His entire life has gone in conflict with the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, if they are not there then what he will be doing, his life was totally dependent on them. Conflict with sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra.In our unconsciousness it is very difficult to recognise our stuck mess, foolishness.Saying this he accepted that his life is dependent on them as his entire life has gone in conflict. To accept is big challenge needs courage. Once we accept anything our focus shifts from problem to solution.Look at some people who are fighting with their health and spending their time just taking care of their diseases. Look at the set of the people who take appropriate treatment and their focus is on their work and what they are able to deliver, give through their act. What’s the difference - set of people who are always taking care of their health and diseases are people who could not accept the body as whole, holy. Because for them sickness and diseases are not part of the body. So all their life they will have only one agenda that is fighting with the body. This group of people’s focus is on diseases, means problem.Another set of people they accept their body as whole and holy, means with all the possibility of diseases. They don’t fight and spend their time just to prove that they have disease free body. They properly have a check-up for any diseases and take required treatment, medicine, start treating the diseases and work simultaneously. This set of people focus on the treatment means, solution for the diseases.Acceptance has awareness in it. If you accept then immediately your focus changes from problem to solution.Van Dijk, a mental health therapist in Ontario, Canada, shares insights on everything from validating our emotions to being more effective in our lives to getting through a crisis to improving our relationships.We create suffering by not accepting reality. For instance, we say things like “It’s not fair,” “Why me?”, “This shouldn’t have happened” or “I can’t bear it!” Our instinct is to fight the pain, she writes. Normally, this instinct is protective. But in cases of pain, it backfires. We might avoid our pain or pretend it isn’t present. We might turn to unhealthy behaviors. We might ruminate about our suffering, without doing anything about it. We might turn to substances to forget the pain.Instead, the key is to accept your reality. “Acceptance simply means that you stop trying to deny your reality and you acknowledge it instead,” says Van Dijk.Acceptance does not mean that you approve of a situation or that you don’t want it to change. Acceptance is not a synonym for forgiveness, either. It doesn’t have to do with anyone else. “Acceptance is simply about whether or not you want to continue spending so much time and energy experiencing all of these painful emotions about a situation,” she writes.Forgiveness is optional, according to Van Dijk. But acceptance is necessary for moving forward. “We can’t act to change things until we recognize them as they really are.”Acceptance is powerful. Once we accept reality, our anger tends to decrease. The painful situation loses the power it has over us. While the pain doesn’t go away, the suffering does.Focus on the present. Don’t try to accept something in the future, such as “you’ll never have a long-term relationship.” We have no idea what the future holds. Instead, you might work on accepting that you’re currently not in a relationship — if that’s bringing you suffering.By saying and accepting “we should not care to live” he is turning towards his consciousness. In this awareness he says “Yet they are now standing before us on the battleﬁeld.” - means they all want to fight with us. Very faintly he remembers his assignment of universe. They are standing before us and with enmity and we have to fight with them without enmity.
Emptiness - In Gita Verse 3.11 The demigods, being pleased by sacriﬁces, will also please you, and thus, by cooperation between men and demigods, prosperity will reign for all.Krishna is saying to Arjuna that if you act from your subjectivity you will not be alone, many demigods will help you for this act. But if you are stuck in the objective world and want to act from objective world then you are alone, you will not get any support from demigods.When you act from your subjectivity you are connected with universe. You may feel that through your body you took action but at that time the whole universe has used your body for particular action. You are not alone, the whole is with you. Combination of your body and universe at that time carry that action. This action is for growth and benefits of everyone around you.We are not familiar with our subjectivity, we are only familiar with our objective world, we feel that when we are in objective world we are together. This is the illusion we have as we are not introduced ourselves with our subjectivity. Our subjectivity is very alive, full, whole. During the day many times we have realized that some kind of emptiness in us. This is our subjectivity, we get scared as we are not familiar with that emptiness. This is our connection with the universe. But as we are only familiar with objective world we feel that emptiness is alone. But it is not true.Once you recognized it, become familiar with it then - Slowly slowly, you see that emptiness is not just emptiness; it is fullness, but the fullness of which you have never been aware, a fullness of which you have never tasted.So in the beginning it looks empty; in the end it is full, totally full, over flowingly full. It is full of peace, it is full of silence, it is full of light.There are only two ways of living in life. One is to live it from the very core of your being, from your subjectivity — that has been the way of the mystics. Meditation is nothing but a device to make you aware of your real self, your emptiness — which is not created by you, which need not be created by you, which you already are. You are born with it, you ARE it! It needs to be discovered. If this is not possible, or if the society does not allow it to happen…and no society allows it to happen, because the real self is dangerous — dangerous for the established church, dangerous for the state, dangerous for the crowd, dangerous for the tradition — because once a man knows his real self, he becomes an individual. He no longer belongs to the mob psychology; he will not be superstitious, and he cannot be exploited. He cannot be led like cattle, he cannot be ordered and commanded. He will live according to his light, he will live from his own inwardness. His life will have tremendous beauty, integrity. But that is the fear of the society.Take the example of Guru Gobind SIngh - Guru Gobind Singh gained great stature as both saint and soldier. He was also an intellectual and wrote many powerful spiritual compositions that infused a martial spirit in the people.After Gobind Singhji’s father was publicly beheaded in Delhi on November 11, 1675 under the instructions of the then Mughal ruler Aurangzeb for refusing to convert to Islam.To save his Sikh community from compulsory conversion of Islam, he become fighter, with the awareness of his true self and connection with his subjectivity.How the universe wants to use our body leave that decision to the universe, but be alert about your connection with your subjectivity. Guru Gobind SIngh become individual by self-alertness.Integrated persons become individuals, and the society wants you to be non-individuals. Instead of individuality, society teaches you to be a personality. The word ‘personality’ has to be understood. It comes from a root, ‘persona’ — persona means a mask. The society gives you a false idea of who you are; it gives you just a toy, and you go on clinging to the toy your whole life.The one way is to live through meditation — then you live a life of rebellion, of adventure, of courage. Then you really live! The other way to live, or to fake living, is the way of the ego — strengthen the ego, nourish the ego; so that you need not look into the self, cling to the ego. The ego is an artifact created by the society to deceive you, to distract you.By giving the example of Guru Gobind Singh every one of us got the idea that unless we are meditative and connected with our subjectivity we cannot respond to the present moment in the objective world.Krishna is saying Arjuna drop your ego, drop misery, so you can connect with your subjectivity your own Godliness and then this war for you instead of mundane will become assignment of Universe, and your body will be vehicle for the universe.

Using music, Bollywood stars and attractive photography—they spend crores trying to make all our dreams come true, and we do not take the ads seriously?Didn’t they tell us…Spray this deodorant and girls will fall head-over-heels in love with you…Eat this cereal and your husband will start noticing you…Add this in your children’s milk and they will become great scientists!Use this fairness cream and the most handsome and eligible bachelor will be at your feet…If you drink a particular beverage daily, your Boss will be impressed and you could take a trophy home for outstanding performance…It is all so clearly stated. The world of TV Ads is a great teacher. Just sit down… relax… and carefully watch the ads. We can learn how to magically swirl ten mouth-watering dishes—one or two each for every family member and yet, not a drop of sweat shall we shed or a strand of hair move. How?
