Good Food Good Life
You will most often find the dark food photography style in editorial as opposed to advertising work. Advertising photography is meant to look perfect, with highly stylized food. Anyone who has ever seen a fast food burger ad and compared it to a real burger knows what I’m talking about. But editorial food photography, such as that found in cookbooks and foodie magazines, has a looser, more candid style. The food is often perfectly imperfect, with scattered crumbs or artfully placed smears and drips, as if it has been freshly prepared or someone has just begun to tuck in.This is not to say there is no deliberate effort in the styling because there is. The line between rustic and real and downright sloppy is a fine one. It takes a practiced hand to make food styling look casual and random.
Long ago, there lived in a village two brothers — Motu and Patlu. Motu was the fat guy and Patlu was very lean and thin. One day both of them decided that they will start independent business in their village to sell mustard oil. Motu was smart guy and wanted to capture entire village. In order to do so, he started giving discounts on mustard oil. Patlu kept price at same level and focussed on the quality. Soon 90% of the market was captured by Motu and rest 10% was Patlu’s share.Soon Motu realised that he was incurring losses, rather massive losses. Though revenue was going high, but losses were also mounting with equivalent speed. He took some loan ( investor’s money) and diversified his business into ground oil. At that time there were few players in the market, who were already selling ground oil. Motu applied his tactics, as he was quite confident of his discounted business model. He started giving discount on ground oil as well. The investors were happy, that he kept on capturing market. Some more investors joined hands with him and put more money and Motu kept on giving discounts. He captured 80% of ground oil market and incurring more losses. Patlu, who had lost the first battle of mustard oil and few guys from ground oil had joined hands by that time. They had been searching for right time to screw Motu for unethical business practices. However, they could not do anything as Motu was “The Big Motu” by that time and out of reach from guys like Patlu. Motu had been arrogant to the producers, but he kept consumers happy. Producers had no choice, as Motu’s shop was selling more than any other shop out there. While life was moving forward, ‘The Big Motu’ felt there was big need to introduce TV to village, as villagers were deprived of TV. That was indeed a great idea and few investors put large chunk of money to it. Motu came up with a subscription model, so that whoever saw TV, had to pay some amount of money to Motu. People were happy, but the Motu’s staff at ground oil and mustard oil business were terribly unhappy, as the focus on those business were not there. The staff were working too much. The initial high salary was marginalised over period of time. So Motu kept on making customers happy, but at the cost of his own staff and producers of the product. He always believed that if one producer left his shop, dozen more would come and join. He was right, as everyone was dying to have Motu’s name associated with them.Every dog has a day. One day when Motu woke up from bed, he saw Patlu and few police men at his bed. Few of the unhappy producers were also besides him along with few local politician. Police had filed a case of unfair business practice and the charges were verified by few producers, staff even some customers who Motu felt were loyal customers. Motu tried to cease the case by paying some money, but probably he didn’t have enough money to pay the demand of politicians. The very next moment, investors started asking for money, staff revolted and things went very bad. The Big Motu was bankrupt. This story is satire metaphor of how Amazon runs business worldwide and why Amazon would fail in India with unethical business practices. India as a country is very different from the rest of the world. The consumers behave very differently here. Let me highlight few attributes of Indian.Attribute :1 People from Asian origin and specifically Indians value for money. Brand loyalty always loses the battle when pitted against the monetary gains. The discounted model does not create loyal customers in India. Attribute :2 Indians are very receptacle, adoptable to change and very fast in spreading the message. Thanks to mushrooming social media groups. So anytime Amazon tries to reduce the price of discounted items, it would take very little time, people switching to competitor. When Amazon entered India, there were few multi-million dollar e-commerce giants. Now there are many, with a hope that they would be taken over by Amazon some day. If at all Amazon buys few of them, the intrinsic value of the deal would be far below the sell off valuation.Attribute :3 Political and ideological idiosyncrasies. In Indian it is always believed that if two persons don’t match in their political views, probably they won’t be good team player. The silent reader who has been reading until now, will definitely have eyebrows up by now. Politics play an important role in governing a lot of things in India. Unlike west and Europe, where business houses are aligned to multiple parties so that nothing goes wrong when opposition is in power, in India, business houses cannot function the same way. Common people in India barely change political ideologies. As a result, it has been witnessed again and again that big companies ruin once there is a change in power at centre or state. People don’t hesitate to do political vendetta crossing any limits. It won’t be surprising Amazon falls prey to this practices.Attribute 4: Unlike other parts of the world, ego plays a vital role in shaping the personality of Indians. There are ample instances where dear ones are dejected just to satisfy ego, with hefty financial sacrifices. Enough of attributes. Let us put some search light through corridors of Amazon’s functioning in India. Unhappy sellers : Amazon makes majority of sellers unhappy in India. I have talked personally to more than 30–40 big sellers. All have same opinion. They have very indifferent attitude towards sellers. Despite having high profile machinery and huge man force and automated services, many times they fail massively in making their sellers unhappy. Hefty FBA charges : In small items such as books, fulfilment by amazon (FBA) charges are quite high. As a result, many of the regional languages book never ever see the face of Amazon. There is a possibility of some cynical political person sees some opportunity here and files a chargesheet on Amazon of killing regional language by not allowing space in e-commerce. Either Amazon would be forced to reduce the charges or find some alternatives. I don’t find any reason why a book lover won’t be interested to wait for 1 more day to get the books through normal shipping in India. Same day delivery practices in India, where there are a lots of logistics and infrastructure issues cannot be ruled out, would definitely force companies like Amazon to default in multiple instances. All the defaults can be clubbed together to make the case study big enough to file against Amazon. Flawed review practices : Amazon review processes are terribly skewed in favour of Amazon’s sponsored product. It is just a matter of time, when some agencies do some clinical litmus test on Amazon’s practice and expose them completely.Sponsored products : Amazon’s sponsored product has lot of loopholes and tries to fool even sellers. e.g. The adds will be shown to the person who paid for the add and amount will be deducted based on CPC model. Thanks to google’s chrome and Amazon. Both must be sharing the data or a special way of data stealing might be happing from systems.Unnecessary Add budgets : In order to capture Indian market, Amazon has been spending huge money on adds. Many of the TV channels fake viewership no and ask more money than they deserve. Since Amazon has lots of money from people, it does not hesitate to spend as many as they can.Too many things at same time: In stead of making some product robust and full proof, Amazon keeps investing in new products. They are in a mission to capture world just like the great Alexander. But the great man also failed in India, while underestimating the variance of IndianControl over rating systems: If you analyse Amazon take overs, they have almost taken over all big rating agencies starting from Alexa, IMDB, goodreads and many more and try to influence the product. I don’t know whether there are unfair practices over here, but seeing Amazon’s hostile takeover and unfair practices, the probability can not be ruled out.Arrogant behaviour: Two years back, when I was talking to Amazon customer service executive, they were very polite, but these days things have completely reversed. The potential reason could be the employees started believing they are too big to fail. I remember the day when I joined a company called EDS(electronic data system). That time it was fortune 80 company and there was absolutely no work. I left after few months of joining. I gave reason for exit as lack of work. My manager burst into laugh. Manager : You are getting four course meal from five star hotel. Travel is taken care by company and you work in fortune 80 company with good salary. What else you require in life.Me: I feel the company won’t survive more than 15 years with this model as the basics are not clear.Manager: You have gone crazy, as no fortune 100 companies ever died in 15 years. Rest all was history. EDS did some bad take overs, they were not having lots of savings and were not prepared for crisis and finally it was sold to HP. Eventually EDS helped HP, which was a fortune 30 company to incur losses and later divided into multiple parts.Possible cases how Amazon can fail in India.Amazon keeps on buying e-commerce companies, every passing day a new company is born supported by black money. Amazon is tired of fake acquisitions after lots of spending.Amazon has entered into food segment. Once small quality mistake can create a big havoc of generating nationalistic campaign to run against Amazon. All those people who wants to get benefitted, might join hands. One such instances, will create more opportunity and eventual exit due to heavy investors pressure.Amazon is killing the local intellectual market by stopping regional books online, as the cost incurred in distributing through Amazon is quite high. Indians value a lot for education and feel proud while preserving the culture. Indians would not eat, but would definitely love to see their children see big schools. Probably only country in the world who behaves this way. That is the reason education is over $100B business in India. If some campaign is run as anti-India against Amazon, it will take very short time to close Amazon out of India.Right to information and Right to privacy have lots of tentacles, which can be used or misused against unethical practices of Amazon. While entering food segment and entertainment segments, Amazon would be pumping in lots of money as it will be competing with companies like Reliance, UTV, Eros etc. The journey won’t be as easy as competing with Flipkart. Probability will be higher in favour of failure. If there is coalition government at centre, God help the big A. The amount of money that might be pumped into, will force the same year exit from India. There are no substantial examples that any business house running for losses or lack of profit has been able to sustain in long run. Amazon has been without profit for almost since inception, but it was majorly operational in country like US, the country which gave world many economic bubble like dot.com, sub prime crisis etc, where a economy can sustain even debt to GDP ratio is close to 100%. But in changing economic scenario, that model does not hold good. The functioning of Amazon is nothing less than e-commerce version of sub-prime crises, where the company believes that after they capture the complete market they will raise the price. But that instances will never happen in India. The day it is tried, there will either be multiple new companies floated, or public outrage or government interference. All in all these possible cases Amazon would fail in India.
Faith is to soul what strength is to body.
I am inspired by every step of my life, every moments of nature and every natural object. Moreover, I am inspired by my failure. I think getting inspired at every moment is in the subconscious mind of everybody. When a child starts walking, he falls many times before its success. At the dawn I think ah! There is again another new hope after a dark night. The bright light of Sun ray and the calm beams of moon inspire me to be impartial to everybody. When I see the flying birds, the animals gazing in the field, I think they are having nothing with them. Still they do not deviate from their nature. So, why should I, where I have a roof on my head, a monthly salary to meet my basic needs? The same thing I think in my office (which is a small cabin, where there is no electricity). In the midsummer, when day to day life is disturbed due to excess heat, I do manage by a small hand fan to avoid sweating. But at the same time when I see the trolley pullers with load of vegetables or groceries or some other things, I get inspired. My situation looks negligible before them. When I do listen the song of calmness and sound of quietness in the darkness of night my heart fills with pleasure. I feel the beauty of night. The fragrance of scented flowers fills my heart with pleasure. If there is no darkness, how could these beauties of nature would have come? A red ant gathers food for the rainy season; small white ants could make an anthill. So, why can not I struggle? My parents inspired me in every step of my life. They always tell me to march forward, not to look behind. My siblings give the assurance of their presence at every step of my life. And the sentence, “I am with you” being told by my dear one gives me the feeling that I am not alone. There are so many inspiring hands with me.The flowing river tells me that I have a great aim ahead to meet. If there is power in the small wing of the birds to touch the sky, why not my strong legs could march forward? If the tiny droplets can make a large ocean, if the little sands help to make a big desert, why can not I helpful for the society?Last but not the least I am inspired by my failure. Because failure is the pillar stone of my success. My mother always tells that Bheemas (a character of Mahabharata, one among the Pandavas) are defeated in the first war. In my course of life, when I meet with failure at any time, the voice of my parents inspired me to march forward, in the hope of betterment in future.

Epitome of art, architecture and culture. They are rightly the essence of Jaipur, the pink city. Place so vibrant and colorful can be synonymized as “Gateway to Royal Rajasthan”. Art and Architecture is so vastly reflected in the city that once visited, it’s almost impossible to control the urge to visit other parts of the state.Food and delicacies of this region are something not to ignore either. Rich in spices, flavours and desi Ghee are truly the royal ingredients of a Rajasthani meal. This is the exact reason a clique of girls got lost on the streets of Jaipur looking for that perfect Gewarh,Pyaz ke Samose and Dal bati churma; until they could satisfy their appetites. One of the girls wanted to capture the moments and perceptions, while others wanted to be captured in the moments. While the other girls wanted to take back goodies and merchandises as memorabilia, this girl wanted to take back the memories, trapped in the right words.Again, one among them, wanted to live in the aroma and vibes of the place herself, while others wanted to just experience them temporarily. There was something beautiful about feeling on vacation and at home all at once, that’s what made her pen this down.Four girls landed in the city, early in the morning, unaware of even the places to halt. But were no slow-paced in kick starting the day, all dressed to perfection and making bold statements. “Yes, they believed in travelling in class”. It didn’t matter how their itinerary was, but their attires were sure as hell ‘well planned’. It included colors and vibrancies as a base, two days of modernity with some desi touch, while one day restricted to contemporarily basic ethnic outfits!!Itinerary was something like this, first day included all the outskirts, majorly forts of Jaipur. Second day an excursion to Ajmer and Pushkar. Last day included the local inner-city sight-seeing. Planned shopping was to be done either at Pushkar or on the last day of trip which went for a toss and they ended up shopping on all three days. After all, they were girls and it was a girls’ trip, Duuuhhh!!!!!!! Let me clarify – not being a contra feminist here.Experience differ from person to person and so does the stories of travel, even if it’s of the same place or of multiple times. Amer fort (as pronounced), which is written as Amber fort,is a delight to ones’ senses. Well planned, better maintained and least destroyed of all the forts deserves to be called the best of them all. A person can typically spend minimum of one to one and a half hour within the fort. Jaigarh holds world’s largest cannon displayed for public. The walls of Jaigarh and Nahargarh forts are infamously called Great wall of India similar to that of China’s. The view from above and amidst those walls are surely worth a great deal of calorie burn. Not to miss a couple of stops where a glimpse of Jalmahal can be spotted in all its glory,on the driveway to Nahargarh. One can even have some chai and coffee from the local vendors, while chilling at these viewpoints.Pushkar, girls fell for it the moment they entered the streets. Call them vibes, spirit or energy, there was something totally positive. People tend to get drawn towards the hippie culture and ambience the town has. Hosting its tourists with the world’s one and only Bramha temple, charm of the town lies on the banks of serene and sacred lake of Pushkar. The roads of Ajmer to Pushkar in between the aravalli ranges, a sunset on the countryside as a back drop to the camel safari, all adds on to the drive factor. A stay here wouldn’t harm your pockets provided the kind of vacation being looked forward to is of chilling and relaxation as a main purpose. Add on: There is a lot to shop at this place, bargaining is the key!Ajmer Shariff Dargah is a place of religious significance, where faith of believers can be seen at its highest. One thing to be kept in mind is not to visit the place during the times of prayer, especially on the days of Jumma. Tourists might end up waiting for hours together just to enter the center sanctum. Also, the inner most sanctum is the hardest to get in and out of, it is advisable to be cautious of your belongings and special attention required for kids. The most economical and convenient way of travel around Jaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar back and forth is by local buses .It's good to keep a track of time and manage the day accordingly. There are frequent buses plying around, reaching the destination within the span of 2.5 hours. However, if there are kids and people with ailments and ageing, it's advisable to hire a cab on fair prices.Final day, girls headed towards city the local way. The most effective way of reaching the local sights is by a rick or a cab. All the major destinations inside city for example City palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar are all within the walkable distance from one another. These structures of Hawa Mahal and city palace are of more recent times as compared to those forts on the outskirts. Peek-a-Boo through those colorful windows is how Hawa Mahal can be described. City palace is in all its splendor and glory of roughness. It is enclosed with Musuems, Art galleries, Durbar halls etc. which exhibit the objects used by the then royal family. Only place of interest in Jantar Mantar for girls was of structures containing zodiac signs, along with which they could get photographed. People with special interest in science and astronomical knowledge would enjoy this more than laymen. Otherwise, it is still a good sight to visit as a place from history, especially with the world's biggest sundial as a main attraction.Girls felt teleported to the era of maharaja, these structures gave them a feel of life within them. How they wished, they could go back in time and visit when these places were inhabited!!P.S. My HApPyy Moments:1.Spotting Colorfully Painted Elephants on the streets.2.Watching ladies cooking roti on the lanes of Pushkar.3.Getting a glimpse of civilization and mountains merging from Nahargarh.4.Buying a palazzo with elephant prints on them Yesss… elephant in it’s any form is LOVE!!! HAppy Vacations and don’t forget to check the next blog“Background Check, Jaipur Jaunts-2”, containing history of the places mentioned here in detail.
An extraction from my reading experience, which converted me a writer. I cannot spend a single day without writing, even though I had to get up in the midnight to do it. Though, there is not much progress in my professional career now, but I feel writing converted me to an absolutely different personality. “Ordinary people seek entertainment. Extraordinary people seek education and learning.” -Benjamin Hardy Most people are distracted right now. They’re distracted while they’re at work. They’re distracted when they’re with family and friends. They’re distracted at the gym, on their commute, and even in the shower. The mediocre majority will continue going through life this way, never experiencing the fullness of a life filled with deep focus and purpose. Most people don’t prioritize learning and creating. They don’t care enough about any efforts to invest in their personal development and growth.Entertainment is more important. Most people have replaced achieving their life dreams and goals with TV, partying, and social media.Their life is characterized by entertainment and distraction, not learning and creating. As a result, they don’t have close relationships. They’re stuck in jobs they hate. Their life is on the fast-track to disappointment, and they don’t know what to do.Benjamin Hardy once said, “Entertainment and distraction is the enemy of creation and learning. They will keep you in mediocrity.”If you don’t want to end up living a life of mediocrity, focus on learning and education. It’s the fastest way to become extraordinary, wealthy, and successful. The Quality of Your Learning Determines the Quality of Your Success“Your level of success will rarely exceed your level of personal development, because success is something you attract by the person you become.” -Hal ElrodYour income, relationships, and success are determined by your learning. Most people spend more money on entertainment and gadgets than self-education. This is why they remain poor and broke with superficial relationships. The quality of your learning and how much you invest in yourself directly determines the extent of your growth. In the words of Ryan Holiday:“The extent of the struggle determines the extent of the growth.”You are defined by what you’re willing to struggle for. Most people aren’t willing to really struggle for anything. They blindly accept what they’re given, and spend their free time disengaging from reality.Renowned motivational speaker Jim Rohn once said the most successful people in the world are always lifelong learners. They fully understand that their level of education directly determines their quality of life.“Formal education makes a living, but self-education makes a fortune,” Rohn explained. It’s not just about a college degree. Most of what you learn in college isn’t applicable to real-world success. It’s your self-education, the kind of learning that helps you develop into the next evolution of yourself. Most people will continue to go through life “in quiet desperation, with their songs left unsung.” Others dictate their income, their happiness, and their fulfillment. If you don’t want to end up with regret on your death-bed, choose self-education over entertainment.“You’ve got to wake up every morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction.” George LarimerWe Attract the Things That Reflect Who We AreDarren Hardy, author of The Compound Effect, once told a story about how he ended up with his wife. When he was in his 20’s, he began compiling an enormous list of every attribute he wanted his future wife to have. He eventually filled 40 pages detailing the most exquisite and perfect match he could think of.At the end of his writing, he realized something very important:Any woman like that wouldn’t want to have anything to do with someone like him!Hardy realized he needed to become a far better version of himself to attract a woman like that. You must become a far better version of yourself to achieve the enormous success you want.Benjamin Hardy put it this way: “We attract into our lives what we are.” Ask yourself — if you want a million dollars, do you have the mindset of a millionaire? Do you have the financial knowledge and self-discipline to own that kind of money? Most people don’t, yet they continue complaining about being poor. You’ll never become a millionaire if you don’t become someone who could be a millionaire!Every day, millions of people attract mediocre opportunities into their lives — jobs, time investments, dating partners, etc. — not realizing they are attracting exactly who they are!Extremely successful people are magnets of extraordinary opportunities. They are individuals who gravitate towards success, because they are successful themselves. If you constantly engage in mediocre, subpar activities with toxic individuals, you’ll only receive similar opportunities. You’ll never experience the type of success of the world’s most extraordinary people, because success is something you attract by the person you become.“Every next level of your life will demand a different you.” -Leonardo DiCaprioStep Forward Into Growth or Backwards Into Security“It’s absurd that we would prioritize the hottest new device, the cool car, or trendy toy over owning that which makes us feel the most engaged and most alive.” -Neil PatelC.S. Lewis once described humans this way: “We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.”You do not have the luxury to “wait” to improve. Like an egg, you’ll either progress into a new version of yourself, or go rotten. There is no other way. Most people continue choosing security and safety over the choice to become the fullest version of themselves.Said Louis Sachar:“So, what’s it going to be — safety, or freedom? You can’t have both.”Right now, you have the choice — step forward into growth and development, or step backwards into safety and security. Most people step backward, slowly killing their chances to become extraordinary.Seth Godin once said, “The problem is that our culture has engaged in a Faustian bargain, in which we trade our genius and artistry for apparent stability.”The sad truth is: there’s no such thing as security. Money can be taken away (how many times have you heard of a multi-millionaire going bankrupt?). Our health could fail at any time. Millions of people are abruptly fired or laid off every year.Security isn’t real.We must choose to design our own life, and let go of our addiction to “apparent stability.” If you’ve traded your genius and creativity for “stability,” it’s time to get those back.“The goal of life is not to relax on the beach, sipping mojitos all day. The purpose is to find something you love that adds value to the world.” -Ben FoleyMost People Won’t Ever Experience True Success“The mediocre have a very narrow perception of reality, and in turn, their lives. They see things as they are, not how they can be.” -Ryan HolidayLearning and self-education aren’t popular. Most people don’t read books, attend seminars, or take even the most basic steps for self-improvement. They would rather choose distraction and entertainment. Most people will never be successful because they will spend their life this way. With just a few small changes to your life, you could enter into the top 5% — 10% of your field. The competition is extremely low! Amazing, extraordinary opportunities are abundant, because so few people ever take the steps to discover them. You can become one of the few truly successful people in the world by taking your self-education and learning seriously. In a world of mediocrity, you can become extraordinary with only a few simple tweaks. So how do you start? The more you keep evolving in better versions of yourself, the more you’ll need to be focused on the things that are most important.Your days must be characterized by high-quality activities and behaviors.Benjamin Hardy put it this way: “Success is continuously improving who you are, how you live, how you serve, and how you relate.”James Altucher once said, “Every day, check these 4 boxes: Have I improved 1% on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health?”You can start small. Even the smallest improvement is more than most people will ever see. While most people change slowly and unconsciously over time, you can begin taking control of your success by choosing to make a few small improvements. That’s all it takes. If You Want to Live an Extraordinary Life, You Need to Give Up a Normal One“If you want to live an extraordinary life, you have to give up many of the things that are part of a normal one.” -Srinivas RaoExtraordinary people are very uncommon. Their lifestyle of learning and self-education aren’t popular, either. Odds are, once you begin investing in yourself, you’ll find it’s a lonely road.Todd Henry wisely said, “The more bold you are, the more rejection you’ll experience.” The mob of the majority doesn’t like deserters. If you want an extraordinary life, you’ll need to give up many parts of the “normal” life. That might mean giving up common toxic behaviors or hanging out with toxic people. If “everyone does it,” you’d do well to give it a long, hard look. Most people will never achieve an extraordinary life. That’s OK. The extraordinary life isn’t for everyone. Learning and self-education take time, energy, and focus that most people would rather spend on entertainment and distraction — “ordinary” things.“Great” opportunities cost “good” ones; you can’t have both.Said Benjamin Hardy:Before you evolve, you can reasonably spend time with just about anyone. You can reasonably eat anything placed in front of you.You can reasonably justify activities and behaviors that are, frankly, mediocre. But as your vision expands, you realize you need to make adjustments. You can’t spend your money on junk anymore. You need to manage your time much more diligently. You need to invest in yourself and your future. To avoid mediocrity, you can’t continue being with negative people. You can’t keep eating crappy foods that slow you down. You can’t do many of the things you used to do.This is what extraordinary requires. Most people see the price and simply say “no thanks.”But you can do anything if you pay the price.“Every skill you acquire doubles your odds of success.” -Scott AdamsIn Conclusion“Who you are is a result of who you were, but where you end up depends entirely on who you choose to be from this moment forward.” -Hal ElrodThere are probably dozens of things you do on a daily basis that aren’t helping you improve. Most people live their lives on other people’s terms. Their days are spent working on other people’s goals and following the rules of someone else.Entertainment and distraction rule society. There will never be a shortage of TV shows, Buzzfeed articles, or Bad Lip Reading videos to take up your time.If you want to avoid mediocrity and achieve enormous success, you must cut out distractions and prioritize learning instead. Most people will go their whole lives as a slave to entertainment. They prioritize entertainment over improving their life, their family’s well-being, and their hopes and dreams. This is how people can stay at jobs they hate for years. It’s how people stay in toxic relationships and remain perpetually broke. They don’t bother learning how to succeed. If your lifestyle does not add to your growth and improvement, it will bring you down.Prioritize learning. Invest in self-education.Choose success over mediocrity.
It's possible you're actually facing an authentic dilemma with your thoughts, and with the accomplishment. And, you know, there's nothing incorrect with discarding a novel and starting once more. “Hello dad, my internship location is a different city, 2000 kilometres away! My friends are planning to book train tickets and it will take nearly 36 hours to reach.” I was blabbering on the phone standing in the corridor outside my classroom. I was expecting my dad to say, “Never mind. Both of us will book our flight tickets, I will take you there, meet your office people, book you a hostel for two months, talk to the hostel warden, check food facilities and everything else and ensure that you are in the best of your comfort zone.” Instead, he said, “Yes, go ahead. You also book your ticket along with your friends.” I was frozen for a minute. “But dad, it is a 36 hour long journey!” I said. “Yes, that’s okay. If your friends don’t want to go by air, you go with them by train. It will be fun.” He tried to comfort me. I stood there for another few minutes wondering how I would manage all of it on my own. I had never stepped out of home without my parents’ guidance and that was my cocoon I refused to step out of.Now, I was being given only 18 days to prepare myself for this 2 month long journey far away from home. My batch mate booked train tickets for 5 of us who were going and I was glad that at least I escaped one task. I was extremely nervous. 18 days passed with the blink of an eye. The away-from-home mission started with the train journey, the second of my life so far. But like my friends and my parents had said, the journey was fun. 5 of us immediately bonded and endured our 36 hours playing dumb charades and other games. We reached early morning and stepping foot on a different land comprising of different people, speaking a different language and most importantly, me being away from my parents was like being on an expedition for me.But now, when I recollect those days, I feel those were among the best days of my life and I cherish each memory I have of that place. Roaming on the streets with luggage and hunting for a hostel, negotiating with the hostel warden for the fee and settling my things in the wardrobe were the first few things I did on my own. At home, I was a spoilt child and had never entered the kitchen except for taking food or keeping my utensils in the sink. In the hostel, besides taking food from the kitchen, I washed my utensils, packed mine and my friend’s lunch and even warmed milk on the stove in the middle of a night for a friend who had hurt her foot and couldn’t walk. I even learnt to wash clothes, iron them, withdraw money from a bank, go grocery shopping, interact with people not knowing my language and so many other things I couldn’t have done staying in my own city at my own home.At the internship, my boss assured me that it was a safe city and I could travel around for events and work. I managed to do 18 events in the two months, a number the company was yearning to reach in the two years they had been operating for. Everybody appreciated my work at office.I learnt to not only take care of my own self but of my friends too. They had started teasing me by calling me mommy, the one who was always worried if everybody was eating well, was in their respective rooms before the deadline at night, was reaching office on time, etc. I also became the accounts in charge for the 5 of us, who owed whom how much and why, I kept a record of all of it.Being a strong and chirpy girl most of the time, at some other times I broke down too, on the day of my childhood friend’s wedding when I could not be her bridesmaid, when my grandmother suffered a minor heart attack and I couldn’t be there beside her bed and sometimes, just like that, not knowing why.But overall, I am glad that I went there stepping out of my cocoon. I learnt a lot of household chores, a lot from my internship, made a lot of new friends and most importantly, learnt a lot about my own self!
A girl/women is the most complicated species on the planet earth. Well we all can agree to that..!! Have you ever seen a jumbled rubix cube? Yes exactly.. that is how a women's brain should look like. The are zillion self contradicting thoughts going on all the time. There is family, work, food, sex(yes we do think about sex..less then food though).Let me start with the most complicated one's first: LOVE ♥Our love for family is surreal, its like you touch my family and i will kill you. When it comes to the love of other gender, its very easy for us to get attracted to someone, but really difficult to keep holding the attraction and we always make the first move. Guys may think that they have initiated it but actually it just our dirty little mind games we like to play in the starting of a relationship. A girl always knows the next move of a guy & decides weather to encourage it or diminish it. A yes is always a yes for us but you need to concentrate on the NO. It may be a firm no, or a no which means maybe yes, or a no where you need to persuade a little to make it yes.Anger/Depression/Crying all of these go hand in hand. It starts with anger, changes to depression with time and the final result is crying to take it all off your chest. Though alcohol plays a part too in making things more miserable or may be lighter(depends on the amount of consumption).Well the last but not the least most prominent thing on a girl's head : Jealousy why god why? why didn't you made me thinner like my sister. You do tina has bigger boobs not me? why am i not as fair as kareena? why are hairs not as straight as neha? Well it never ends. This list goes on and on and on. Nonetheless we can never sustain in a world without girls and neither do we want so. #werock#dontmindme#loveall#smblogcontest
District 92, Division D Toastmaster Humorous Speech Contest, Second Runner up: My Humorous speechTitle: Dear, I hate you!!!Opening:I’m lazy and I know itAt this rate I’ll never get fitPeople are afraid of heightsI am afraid of widthsOh my soul, be thou quietThis is not ‘another diet’Just a program of exchangeThough some things do seem strangeRaw vegetables and ‘brock-o-lee’Does not sound too good to meLots of tofu and bean sproutsWhile my empty stomach shoutsThe meaning here is quite plain; This program is designed for painMy hands are sweating, my soul is dreadingI must keep this thing from spreadingBody: Good Afternoon obese guests, overweight toastmasters and frustrated corpulent Judges…“Sorry, I am in relationship with food” this was my answer whenever any guy was approaching me till that fine one romantic rainy evening!!!I was waiting in front of the doctor’s room. As usual, the doctor approached with the report after a looooong hour wait.Giving a wicked look, he said “I have a bad news & a good news. What should come first?”I thought for a while & questioned him “Mr. Doctor. Is the bad news too bad? Or is the good news too good”.He answered, “Dear Suchi, the bad news is going to be tragic & the good news will bring a ray of hope in your life”. After gathering some courage, I told the doctor “Sir. Bad news first”.“This is not to dishearten you, but according to your reports your weight is going out of control now. Your body is blowing like a balloon. You are overweight by 25 kg!” Hearing this, first tear broke free from my eyes, the rest followed in an unbroken stream.Trying to console me, the doctor said “Darling. There is a good news too. This disease of obesity which is haunting you now is totally curable. You are very lucky to be diagnosed well on time. It would have been very difficult if you showed during the final stage”. I was amazed at the doctor’s wonderful statement about my life-threatening disease!!! I collected my reports & walked back home. What is the reason of getting more and more of those tiny creatures, who live in my closet and sew my clothes a liitle bit tighter every night…calories? Then the coolest place of my house having food carrying capacity of 10 peoples…my refrigerator gave a smile at me!!! whenever i lose some weight, i used to get it back in my refrigerator!!!I wish losing weight would be as easier for me as losing my keys, watch, hair rubber band, temper & even mind.” Instead of blaming myself my heart said “Dear, You are not overweight, you are just under tall!!!”.Then, I decided to have a fight between food & me. Everything is fair in love & war & this was a war. I had to win. “A healthy diet for a healthy body”, “You are what you eat”, “Whatever your problem is, your answer is not in fridge” I collected all motivational quotes for dieting & started placing them on my cupboard, my room walls, even on my refrigerator door. Then I started googling “How to lose weight”. There were unbelievable suggestions. A kind lady in one of her articles claimed that she lost 20 pounds in a month by writing 3 pages daily. So, my dear dispirited plumpy audience, you can imagine who is the inspiring hero behind my becoming a blogger!!!I try to remove all things those make me fat…like scales, mirrors and photographs!!! Conclusion: Dear mirthless TMs, rejected Guests and long faced Judges!!!After a passionate, enthusiastic follow up of my diet plan, the day of test match came, when I had to attend a big fat wedding party. Sweets were looking mesmerized in many colorful, fancy dresses. A dark red cherry was smiling at me sitting on the top of triple story frosted cake.“New body is under construction. Please let me go.” I turned backwards only to see hot, delicious, mouthwatering chocolate sizzler on the table. The enemy was very strong & well equipped, while I was handling an unequipped one-woman army. I fall prey to my food desire. “Dear my favorite foods. Things are not going to work between us. It’s not me. It’s you. You are detrimental, disastrous and deleterious!!!” I lie on the floor completely dead for few minutes. I stood up & I rushed to the front table, where a range of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and unsalted seeds, nuts were kept!!! The toughest part of DIET is not watching what you eat. Its watching what other people eat!!! But! I had conquered all the toughest parts related to DIET. So dear friends, how many of you is having courage to hate all the enemies related to DIET and to say ”Good Bye Dear, I don’t want you in my life anymore!!!”
**Based on a true incident**If you have ever been to Dadar Station ( Mumbai ), you already know how crowded it gets at times and after a second of a train's arrival people start to board and deboard it like a flock of sheep. It was a pretty hostile day and in my misfortune, I couldn't get a place to stand properly, let alone a place to sit.As I settled down, I found myself standing behind a girl. She was a girl with a gloomy facial feature - winged eyeliner, a white fitted top and a grey bag and she seemed to have overused perfume. We were like two strangers heading towards different destinations like I and others were but then came a guy who was in his mid-twenties stood beside me.A havoc seemed to have created, first he unsettled us by searching something in his bag, then he almost pushed an old man just to take the cell out of his pocket. After a while he started to stare at me - he was staring at me in the way I stare at people if they criticize the food I like - the fire in my eyes can burn cities. It made me sheer uncomfortable being stared at with hatred and that too by a stranger can make anyone that way. I thought to initiate a conversation. I dropped the Idea.I should not have because in the other moment, he held me by my collar and said his first words to me, " Madarchod , tm iss larki ke sath kya kar rahe ho ?".I was dazzled. I had no clue what made him so angry that he didn't hesitate to curse my mother but that had made me no less angry.I shrugged his hand rapidly and that made him move backward in his place. The girl in front of me was dazed." Tumhe bilkul sharam nahi , tum iss larki ke sath train mei badtameezi kar rahe ho ,Aap daro mat ma'am , hum apke sath hai ".He said to the girl." Excuse me ? " Was the girl's reply." Main ne kuch nahi kia , mujhe piche se push kia ja raha tha." I blurted at him.The other two men and a woman popped in and straightaway asked the girl, " Kya isne kuch badtameezi ki tumhare sath" ? She looked at me exasperated and said," Inhe sirf piche se push kia ja raha tha , ulta yeh physical contact avoid kar rahe tah."I took a sigh of relief. She spoke further, " Woh insaan sirf hero banne ki kosis kar raha hai ".It was enough for them to trust her and they all told him to apologize. To my surprise, he had something else to say." Esi larkiya tight kapre pehen k aati hai , inhe insab cheezo se koi problem bhi nahi."Before I could punch his face, the train stopped and he disappeared into the crowd. If I will ever meet that girl again, I will thank her once again, more than I had thanked her for that time and more than thanking her, I would cajole her as she was upset with the man's words.I don't know if it was the incident or the girl, but I started to respect girls a little more after that.
Works of art have evolved so much that you just can’t help but awe at every single creation! And no, we are not specifically talking about paintings and hand art but a special lip art- a trend that has involved into various styles. Not only it’s gaining the ground in the fashion world, but it is also breaking the internet, is a phenomenon amidst the Instagrammers and almost all social media savvy people. So, when you think of a statement, do think of lip art too!The previous year had been a mix of some very predictable and unique trends, and now to add five more stars to the mix here’s the lip art trend. In the London Fashion Week SS’17, you could have seen the pressed flowers as a form of the lip art. Nowadays artists are inspired by everything that you can ever visualize! There’s sushi, sunset, metal textures, flowers, crystals, nature, animal, food and what not!Sushi lip inspired from the Japanese dish became a huge trend on social media, you can also refer to it as ‘Salmon Nigiri’, which was done by the makeup artist Vlada Haggerty, who painted her lips exactly like a Sushi. If you are a fan of all metal makeup than you’ll highly admire the mirror lips trend in which a cut-out of silver reflective papers in the shape of your lips is used, as per the artist Jazmina Daniel. You will be surprised to know that even our beloved Blake Lively was praising this extraordinary art of Jazmina. The world is so vivid and so is the inspiration for art! An artist, Heather took inspiration from Birds and painted her lips in a crazy raven look, all with the help of black, white paint and eyeshadow. Where on one hand, a photographer, Jil brought an entire color scheme of sunrise in the lip art, a self-taught makeup artist Grinand Dagger was deeply enlivened by the idea of the Disney Princess Pocahontas, and thus her art was based on this theme.
When you have headliners such as Marshmallow, Major Lazer, and Sean Paul coming together, you know you are at one of the best festivals in the world.Kicking off the fifth edition from last year’s three stages, the fest brought in six stages this year, with the main stage Sonic Realm taking you into fairytale land with an Alice in Wonderland setup, complete with a clock, the hands that actually move, but anti-clockwise. You also had the wings of the ladybug open and close at intervals. And to top it all, you had the commanding deer right in the center. Laboratory Supersonic was the first stage as you entered the venue, and comparatively small compared to the others, but sporting a very industrial feel, complete with shipping port containers stacked in the backdrop. Live Arena was the huge main stage and a well thought of Changeover stage for much smaller acts. Between the Live Arena and the Spectrum stage that had more of the EDM acts, was the Reggae Stage close to the Beer Garden spinning out some classic reggae tunes on CD and vinyl. The first day of the three-day festival held from 9th, 10th and 11th February, saw Indie acts like Komorebi, Parekh & Singh, Clayton Hogermeer, Kohra, and Midival Punditz to the Live Arena stage offering the topper for the night Nucleya, Dillion Francis and Major Lazer on the Sonic Realm stage. Anyone who was at the festival will tell you how packed the venue was, and going by statistics from last year, this season saw the highest number of footfalls, with a total attendance of around 12,000 people on all three days. Major Lazer, who has played in the country before, began his set with one of Bollywood’s iconic track Choli Ke Peeche moving over to Kendrick Lamar’s Humble and Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You, besides of course his own songs. Lazer showed his love for Bollywood with more unexpected tracks like Ladki Kar Gayi Chul and a few others. If Daft Punk had their helmets, Deadmau5 his mouse head, Christopher Comstock, known professionally as Marshmello, an American electronic dance music producer and DJ had the mask head. Day 2 saw a few die-hard Mashmellow fans walk in with the face mask and dancing just like he does.Though the day started with some great acts like Madboy Mink and the Stage Collective at Live Arena, followed by the Shillong based Soulmate who gave a rousing performance, this was followed by the Ska Vengers ending with Bombay Bassment and the Fanculos. The Spectrum stage witnessed some big bang performances like Ash Roy and Tuhin Mehta to Joseph Capriati, while The Laboratoire stage witnessed some galactic performances from Raja Kumari bringing tracks like Meera, Believe in You, City Slums. DJ Uri played the turntables with Ryan Sadri on Sax, but the night eventually belonged to Mashmello. Once again like the previous night opening act was almost similar to that of Major Lazer as both of them had Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai as the opening song, but from there Mashmello went on to his blockbusters we love so much. The last day at Laxmi Lawns saw indie acts like Aswekeepsearching, Pentagram, The F 16s and American rock band Incubus to the Spectrum stage offering a fantastic set by Arjun Vagale. The main act for the night was taken by Sean Paul, with audiences expecting a night to remember. Sadly the Jamaican rapper who sported an orange jacket, was not in his element but managed to raise the bar a bit with songs like Temperature, She Doesn’t Mind and a few others. The venue had lots to offer, if you ever got tired of the music. At a sprawling 35,000 sq ft moving around from each stage would give you enough exercise to lose a few calories. Like last year, there were several installations to keep you busy. This year had a giant slide, swings, cute de-stress tents, a see saw, and a mechanical bull, besides of course a fabulous food court with a mini flea market. Sadly if you wanted to have your poison while you enjoyed your favourite act, you would have to down the glass of beer or Jim Bean at the bar itself, as no alcohol was permitted outside the bar area or allowed to be carried from one stage bar to the other. Something that the organisers should seriously consider doing away with. One may try to adhere to the Legal Drinking Age (LDA) of 25, but chances are you might just get away with it at the Beer Garden that had practically no security to oversee who was drinking what. Despite the hits and the misses, Vh1 Supersonic gave us memories we will always cherish. Can’t wait for next year.Text and Photos by Verus Ferreira
Harvey Leigh Cantwel aka HRVY is the guy of every teenage girl’s dream. With sky blue eyes and a ruffled blonde hairdo, the 19 year old lad is a fountain of talent. Seated at the Bottomline Media office, in a pair of torn jeans and a dark blue kurta, with his management team all around, when we meet HRVY, he’s like your boy next door, casual and down to earth. His first ever live performance at Hard Rock Cafe in Mumbai was sold out with many claiming his performance was truly astounding. He had the girls literally falling for him. His alluring face, million dollar smile and attractive looks, all go to make him a real charmer. HRVY is today one of the most searched singers with his video Personal clocking about 50 million views to date. His songs Phobia, Holiday and the latest single Personal are hot favourites with teens, with their lyrics, most stemming from HRVY’s personal life experiences. HRVY is a social media sensation on platforms such as Instagram and Twitter Before his fame on social media, HRVY was a presenter on BBC’s Friday Download. After that he took to social media and released his first EP, Holiday on 25th July, 2017. While his name is on every teens lips, we can’t but wonder, why the Londoner from Kent, chose HRVY and not his real name. We choose to find out this and lot more when The Teenager Today’s music columnist Verus Ferreira got exclusive access to the dashing youngster. Here are excerpts from that conversation:So everyone wants to know the reason for the change in name. Can you tell us where the ‘a’ and ‘e’ disappeared? My team thought we might take out the vowels ‘a’ and ‘e’, and see how it sounds and make my name sound a bit different. It just stuck What music did you listen to while you were growing up?I listened to U2, songs that my dad used to play in the car. I also like Justin Timberlake, he’s great, then there’s a singer Craig David from the UK and a lot of people who were on the charts while I was growing up. So when did the real love for music light up in you?Music got my fancy at a young age when I was like five or six when I first got to understand what music really was and really enjoyed listening to it. By the time I was 13, I decided that music was what I wanted to do. I had posted a cover of a song on Facebook called ‘Simply Amazing’ by American singer Trey Songz. I shared it around on Facebook and it got a lot of traction for me and it just reached a new high. Then my manager thought I should make a video of it with me singing in it and yeah that’s how it really clicked. So it was a Facebook video which appeared on YouTube. Do songs like Phobia, Holiday, or Personal, give out a message to all your fans? Well not really, I mean, we just write about how we feel which is a concept on how we all work. I like Holiday which is a bit of fun, while Phobia was like more of heart break song, and I know people would like that kind of stuff, it’s just got that romantic side to it. So do these songs stem from your real life experiences? Some of it kind of influenced it a bit, while some of it isn’t, and some is just made up. Well going back in time I liked this girl and so it comes from there. Well the songs are a little bit of my own experiences, and so like I said, like Personal has a line about my ex girlfriend, with a line... you used to flirt with your friends. And as I said I guess a lot is also made up. Every artist goes to a lot of obstacles to reach the top, you have succeeded quite easily. How did you do it?I feel like my career is only just started, and I am sure there will be some obstacles in the way in the future. I think for now it’s been pretty okay, I’ve been on the top, so I’m fine. Your EP ‘Talk with Ya’ has both the songs Phobia and Personal. Phobia is slow, while Holiday is a bit up tempo. How do the fans react to such songs? The fans really like Phobia because it’s much slower, while Personal is danceable, which is really good, so they get a chance to choose what they really like, they have both, songs that they can chill out to at a party and the other to just listen to. Besides singing do play any musical instruments?I really want to learn the piano; I think it’s a very beautiful instrument So in the future what songs would you like to make, slow or maybe a few dance numbers?I would like to release music that has everything, that has both slow and fast numbers.Coming to your first visit to Mumbai, when you knew you were coming to India, what is the first thought that came to your mind?I am really happy to be in India, even if it’s just 5 days. It’s amazing to see such a diverse culture out here. I love the people, they’re so friendly. Everyone who I met, asked me about how I liked the country. They were really very nice and kind to me. So have you heard or watched any Bollywood movies?I have heard a lot of Bollywood and there’s this actor that we have been talking about with my team, I think his name is Shah Rukh Khan and yes I want to watch his movies before I go or take some DVDs home with me. You also have a tour with The Vamps coming up soon, are you also planning a collaboration with them also?Yes I have a tour with them in March and about collaboration well who knows, we are all friends and it may happen. So for now, it’s just the tour with them and just have some fun and yes we want to come to India again. I love the country and will be here again soon. The Vamps are supposed to be on tour in India in June this year and I’m coming back with them. Do you plan on shooting any music videos in India, considering that there have been many artists like Coldplay who have also shot videos here? Now that I have been here I definitely want to shoot a video, and yes the next time we come to India, or maybe when we come in June and also at the end of the year, we may just decide on it. We would probably take in a bit of the Indian culture in it and yes wear something like this (points to his blue kurta). So what are your dreams and aspirations? To take over the world in a good way, musically have my music everywhere. What are your future plans?Just keep releasing songs and to release more music, travel around the world....... just to have fun.... really. What memories would you take from India?I take memories of the people, how they relate to me, the things I’ve seen on the streets, everything around me, the food. I want to try some street food, we haven’t really done that yet, we have kind of hotel food at the moment, so I want to try the dosa. So finally we come to a question many girls would want to know. Do you have a girlfriend? No (laughs). I don’t, I am singleAny message for your fans? I love you guys, thank you for being so supportive, Shukriya. Text and Photos by Verus Ferreira
Dreams have a worldwide language of their own. Each man on the earth dreams for a certain time, every single night. Do your dreams mean something, do they have any connections with real-life prospects? Or are they simply a blend of your flight of fancy?
Think, if we live there, we can see such an outlet at a distance of some mill, from which life seems to be even more beautiful? How many times will we see such reports? No human will answer this Such was the view that was near our distance of exactly 10 km. Succulent, lonely, calm, laugha beach. In the form of the letter 'U' exactly like the English alphabet, it is one of the best beaches of Maharashtra state. The nature around the middle has openly exposed the green-blue color with both hands. These are far from the human point of view, and therefore, these are a hot destination for the holidays. Many beaches in Konkan coast One of the popular beaches is Ladhar Beach. It is also known as "Tamas Tirath" by this holy name.Located in Konkan, 9 km away from Dapoli in Ratnagiri district, Ladar. As soon as you enter Dapoli, you will have to find a place named Keluskar Naka, after going straight from the left side, Dapoli police The station will be seen and the front will be open from the Azad Maidan, after moving from right to left, after going for some time, you will find the building of Dapoli Court, from there also you will have to go straight till the time. You do not find Dapoli police check post, after getting the check post from there, you have to go straight by the way and when you go, you will see the Konkan Agriculture University on your left side, from there it goes through the middle of the thick bushes to the ladders. After traveling by this, you think that these thoughts are coming in between and how far is it? It seems as if the beach is not around till the sea and you They are passing through the forest, but "the fruit of patience is sweet" says, this is the experience of you, when your car comes out of a small way with a small turn and in front of you Lajhar beach is full of giant, beautiful, wonderful ocean and charming eyes. You must tell this thing that there are many places and beaches in the surroundings of the city of Ladarpura too, but if you have come on a vacation for a day or two and take a full time away from everyday life and spend the whole time in silence If you want, take the experience of a beautiful, unoccupied place like the lavish. Experience the nature of it here and become unified, takes away all the burden of body and mind.Ladakh is such a place where despite the state-of-the-art facilities of tourism all have its natural beauty and features still existed. In between these are the mills that are the only ones on the beach. You have such an experience, The whole beach is just for you. The beach is very safe for fun with the tricks. In the meantime, one of the best qualities is that the sand is in red and hence this part of the ocean is "l Sea "where it goes. Because it is too long and clean, it is very fun to swim in the ocean and to move on the shore. You will not believe, but the sand of one end of this long spaced beach is rocky sand. So the other thief's sand is very soft sand. There are forests of coconut trees all around the beach, and for this reason the forest and the other star ocean and the edge in the middle, Here you can see it. At the beach, we can enjoy whatever you like. There is also the presence of a life guard on the beach. After taking the entire experience of the beach, the mind becomes calm and happy. On the side of the sea, sitting on the waves Seeing the taste of your favorite food, taking a hot hot tea, the joy of being lost in this view by standing on the positive waves arising in the mind is another.Good facilities are available for lodging around Lodhghar.Laudhara is a very beautiful and natural variation, refreshing beach. At the time of sunset, these beaches are filled with very eccentric and engaging views and they fall in red color. After this we realize that the nature is so beautiful and the mind is filled with its fullness. With your family and loved ones, be special and spend your moments, or forgetting the moment of youth or forgetting everyone with your friends, you should have such a quiet experience alone, loneliness and sea, there is no other better place than Ladhar beach.

World health dayThe World Health Day is celebrated on 7th of April every year. This day is celebrated for awareness of the global health. The World Health Day is been the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as other related organizations. The World Health Organization (WHO) has there theme, slogan and hashtag for their organization are:Theme for World Health Day is: Universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere The slogan is: “Health for All”. The primary hashtag that we are using is : #HealthForAll but look out for posts using #WorldHealthDay as well. The World Health Organization held the First World Health Assembly in the year 1948. The Assembly decided to celebrate 7 April of each year, with effect from 1950 after 2 years, as the World Health Day. World Health Day is acknowledged by various governments and non-governmental organizations with interests in public health issues, who also organize activities and highlight their support in media reports, such as the Global Health Council. The World Health organizes decided a particular theme for the international, regional and local events on this Day. They have the different theme every year related to their aspect. If we talk about the theme of the World Health Day then we have numbers of year passed with the different theme for the world. Every theme is related to securing your health with different problems. We are celebrating World Health Organization since 1948 till now, long 70 years. Recent themes that are been taken for this day they are; in the year 2014 the theme was taken on the disease Vector-borne meaning of this was a small bite, big threat. In the year 2015, the theme was taken Food safety so that people could eat healthy food. In the year 2016, the theme was taken Halt the rise, this was related to beat diabetes. a largely preventable and treatable non-communicable disease that is rapidly increasing in numbers in many countries, most dramatically in low- and middle-income countries. Simple lifestyle measures have been shown to be effective in preventing or delaying the onset of type 2 diabetes, including maintaining normal body weight, engaging in the regular physical activity, and eating a healthy diet. Diabetes can be controlled and managed to prevent complications through diagnosis, self-management education, and affordable treatment. The WHO estimates about 422 million people in the world have diabetes, with the disease the direct cause of some 1.5 million deaths. The goals of WHD 2016 are scaled up prevention, strengthen care, and enhance surveillance. In the year 2017 the theme was taken Depression: Let's talk because the condition affects people of all ages, from all walks of life, in all countries. It impacts on people’s ability to carry out everyday tasks, with consequences for families, friends, and even communities, workplaces, and health care systems. At worst, depression can lead to self-inflicted injury and suicide. A better understanding of depression – which can be prevented and treated – will help reduce the stigma associated with the illness, and lead to more people seeking help. Talking about the upcoming World Heath Day the theme has been decided is Universal Health Coverage. This topic has been taken so that they could cover all different type of problem of the people. The World Health Organization was founded on the principle that all people should be able to realize their rights to the highest possible level of health.“Health for all” has therefore been our guiding from 70 years. It’s also the impetus behind the current organization wide drive to support countries in moving towards the Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The organization will maintain a high profile focus on (UHC) events through 2018, starting on the World Health Day on 7th of April with global and local conversations about ways to archive health for all.So it has been decided that in this 70th anniversary year, World Health Organization is calling on the world leaders to live up to the pledges they made when they agreed on the Sustainable Development Goals in the year 2015, and commit to concrete steps to advance the health of all people. This means ensuring that everyone, everywhere can access essential quality health services without facing financial hardship. Experience has illustrated, time and again, that Universal Health Coverage is achieved when political will is strong. Throughout 2018, we aim to inspire UHC stakeholders to make commitments towards UHC by highlighting policymakers’ power to transform the health of their nation, framing the challenges as exciting and ambitious, and inviting them to be part of the change.Throughout 2018, we aim to Motivate UHC stakeholders to make commitments towards UHC by sharing examples of how countries are already progressing towards UHC and encourage others to find their own path.Throughout 2018, we aim to Guide UHC stakeholders to make commitments towards UHC by providing tools for structured policy dialogue on how to advance UHC domestically or supporting such efforts in other countries. If we talk about some of the countries have already made significant progress towards universal health coverage. But half of the world’s population is still unable to obtain the health services they need. If countries are to achieve the decided target, then one billion people need more to benefit from UHC by 2023.this is the achievement target year has been decided by the UHC.World Health Day will shine a spotlight on the need for UHC and the advantages it can bring. WHO and its partners will share examples of the steps to take to get there through a series of events and conversations held at multiple levels. As it has been said by the Director General “No one should have to choose between death and financial hardship. No one should have to choose between buying medicine and buying food.”Every people do not know that why this universal health day coverage matters for our countries? It is because the country that invites in UHC marks a sound investment in their human capital. In the recent years, UHC has emerged as a key strategy to make progress towards other health-related and border development goals. Access to essential quality care and financial protection not only enhance people’s health and life expectancy, it also protects countries from epidemics, reduces poverty and the risk of hunger, creates jobs, drives economic growth and enhances gender equality.Do everyone know that why World Health Day is been celebrated? International Mother Earth Day (or Earth Day)The Earth Day is celebrated on 22 April 2018 each year to celebrate the Mother Earth. Thus, Earth Day is to remind us of the importance of maintenance of the life balance.History:●US senator and environment enthusiast: Gaylord Nelson was the driving force behind the celebrations.●The idea came to Senator Nelson on witnessing the infamous 1969 oil spill in California.●The spill took a toll on the ecological system of California and the Outlook of the nation itself.●Driven by the desire to involve the youth in the cause of the environment. ●It was due to the reason that an ideal date i.e. 22 April was chosen (between the spring break as well as final examinations).●Initially, the event had just 20 million supporters and by the 90s the figure swelled up to 200 million.●Then came the path-breaking legislation in form of Rio Declaration of 1992. This legislation put more effort into economic, social and environmental reforms. ●Today, the figure of the followers is estimated to be beyond 1 billion. As a result, each year volunteers gather to plant trees, ensure cleanliness of the vicinity and achieving success through sustainable goals. Earth Day 2018 Theme:Leading the process of change is the Earth Day Network. It has been decided to dedicate the celebrations this year to End Plastic Pollution. The organization is creating and finding support for ensuring utility. creating support for a global effort to eliminate single-use plastics along with global regulation for the disposal of plastics. EDN will educate millions of people about the health and other risks associated with the use and disposal of plastics, including pollution of our oceans, water, and wildlife, and about the growing body of evidence that decomposing plastics are creating serious global problems. From poisoning and injuring marine life to the ubiquitous presence of plastics in our food to disrupting human hormones and causing major life-threatening diseases and early puberty, the exponential growth of plastics is threatening our planet’s survival. EDN has built a multi-year campaign to End Plastic Pollution. Our goals include ending single-use plastics, promoting alternatives to fossil fuel-based materials, promoting 100 percent recycling of plastics, corporate and government accountability and changing human behavior concerning plastics.EDN’s End Plastic Pollution campaign includes four major components:Leading a grassroots movement to support the adoption of a global framework to regulate plastic pollution;Educating, mobilizing and activating citizens across the globe to demand that governments and corporations control and clean up plastic pollution;Educating people worldwide to take personal responsibility for plastic pollution by choosing to reject, reduce, reuse and recycle plastics, andPromoting local government regulatory and other efforts to tackle plastic pollution.Earth Day Network will leverage the platform of Earth Day and the growing interest in the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day in 2020 as a catalyst for global action.Education is the foundation for progress. We need to build a global citizenry fluent in the concepts of climate change and aware of its unprecedented threat to our planet. We need to empower everyone with the knowledge to inspire action in defense of environmental protection.Environmental and climate literacy is the engine not only for creating green voters and advancing environmental and climate laws and policies but also for accelerating green technologies and jobs.may be hard to imagine that before 1970, a factory could spew black clouds of toxic into the air or dump tons of toxic waste into a nearby stream, and that was perfectly legal. They could not be taken to court to stop it.How was that possible? Because there was no EPA, no Clean Air Act, no Clean Water Act. There were no legal or regulatory mechanisms to protect our environment. In spring 1970, Senator Gaylord Nelson created Earth Day as a way to force this issue onto the national agenda. Twenty million Americans demonstrated in different U.S. cities, and it worked! In December 1970, Congress authorized the creation of a new federal agency to tackle environmental issues, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.Earth Day began in America in 1970 as a day to celebrate the planet and encourage people to be more environmentally friendly. It is now an annual event and is widely regarded as the beginning of the modern environmental movement. Activities associated with the day often include planting trees, raising awareness about recycling, volunteering for green projects, and reducing the number of energy people consume. Earth Day is supported by a host of celebrities, including Leonardo Di Caprio, Emma Watson, Miley Cyrus and Matt Damon. Earth Day has become one of the most widely celebrated environmental events across the globe. On this day, events are held worldwide to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth’s natural environment. Currently, it is celebrated in more than 192 countries each year. It was originally celebrated at Spring Equinox around 21 March every day but now the United Nations has designated 22 April as the International Mother Earth Day. Earth Day Network coordinates this annual day across the globe.Earth Day is all about appreciating the uniqueness of our planet Earth with its incredible biodiversity. On this day various national and international activities are conducted to understand the biodiversity and how should we protect our nature – plants, animals, and environment.Today, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with numerous partners and communities in more than 192 countries to raise the environmental concerns and diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. Apart from this, a large number of communities celebrate Earth Week and create awareness among other people regarding environmental issues.Various Earth Day FactsEarth Day Flag is called Ecology Flag. It was created by cartoonist Ron Cobb and was first published in the Los Angeles Free Press on 7 November 1969. The Ecology symbol resembles Greek letter theta and is a combination of the letters “E” and “O” taken from the words “Environment” and “Organism,” respectively. The flag consists of thirteen alternating-green-and-whites stripes with a symbol on the left-hand side. Earth Day Anthem is a universal song associated with Earth Day. Its lyrics are set to the tone of Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” melody on which the official anthem of the European Union is based.“Joyful joyful we adore our Earth in all its wondermentSimple gifts of nature that all join into a paradiseNow we must resolve to protect herShow her our love throughout all timeWith our gentle hand and touchWe make our home a newborn worldNow we must resolve to protect herShow her our love throughout all timeWith our gentle hand and touchWe make our home a newborn world.”Earth Day became an international event on 21 March 1971, when UN’s Secretary-General U Thant spoke about it at a Peace Bell Ceremony at the United Nations in New York City. Since then, the United Nations Earth Day ceremony continues each year on the day of the vernal equinox (March 20th or 21st), with the ringing of the UN Peace Bell at the very moment of the equinox.More than 20 million people and thousands of local schools and communities participated in the first Earth Day of the United States that took place on 22 April 1970. This huge turnout made the first Earth Day as the largest organized celebration in the history of the United States. The success of Earth Day helped to influence the United States’ government to create stronger laws to protect the environment.Earth Day Network, the organization behind the Earth Day movement, works with over 22000 partners in more than 192 countries worldwide to raise environmental concerns. Today more than 1 billion people participate in earth day activities each year to make it one of the largest movements on earth.Earth Day 2000 combined the ambitious spirit of the first Earth Day with the international grassroots activism of Earth Day 1990. This was the year when Earth Day used the Internet to expand its reach and organize activists across several continents. The message was loud and clear and it proved invaluable domestically and internationally. In the year 2009, United Nations officially renamed Earth Day as International Mother Earth Day.On Earth Day 2012, more than 100,000 people rode bikes in China to reduce CO2 emissions and save fuel.Every year on April 22, men, women, children, groups and communities all around the world gather together and put all their efforts to collect garbage, plant saplings, encourage people to go for recycling, sign petitions and discuss issues to save this planet from depleting resources. In few places, earth day is celebrated throughout the week to expand its reach so that more people take part and put their efforts to preserve the environment.Earth Day SignificanceEarth Day is a day dedicated to increasing awareness about the Earth, its issues, and problems. Today, more than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world. As a result of this remarkable event, various policy agreements and acts are sanctioned such as Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and many others.Earth Day has gained significant significance in the past. This is due to the fact that people have been witnessing the shortage of food, skyrocketing fuel prices, increased global warming and changing weather patterns. It is a day that acknowledges the importance of our planet. People come to know about the contemporary environmental issues such as global warming, depleting resources etc. Both adults and kids become conscious about the strategies and tactics which they can adopt in day-to-day life to ensure cleaner environments.Various suggestions are brought to light about recycling, energy conservation, increasing plant and tree growth, save water, respect nature, reduce toxins in the air, keep the environment clean, reduce air pollution, planting trees and flowers to increase oxygen and love and respect towards all animals who inhabit the earth. There are small ideas with the huge impact such as – plant a tree every year, switch off the light when not in use, use recyclable bags for grocery shopping etc. presented during Earth Day celebrations.Apart from the individual households, even companies are encouraging their employees to contribute their part when it comes to saving this planet from degradation. Making use of public transportation, carpooling to reduce pollution, switching off AC after office hours, motivating people to take less printouts, using renewable sources to generate power, allowing employees to engage in tele or video conferencing, using CFL lights and bulbs, extracting geothermal energy to heat up office buildings are few of the initiatives companies are taking to save energy and make this planet safe for our future generations. On the transportation side, companies are now manufacturing and selling hybrid and electric cars that do not make use of petrol or diesel to run. New technologies are coming in which are making these cars at par with that of cars running on petrol and diesel. If people implement some of these and make changes in their behaviors towards Mother Earth, then we would be able to make our planet a much better place to live in – also for coming generations.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall. Who’s the fairest of them all?Fairy tale to Fiction logue, all have been a proof of experiential thoughts to which a human mind can exercise imagination and bring it to reality.Out of many such virtually realistic ideas, how humans perceive themselves to be is a whole stream of consciousness. Especially when it comes to the subject of personalities, history is evident of humans going to unparalleled stretches to satisfy a set paradigm of looks, intelligence and emotions. One of the most staunch realities of people trying to fit in the ‘convention’ that they set for themselves, exist in the track record of how people perceive the image of their Bodies. The most fascinating fact is that unlike in situations where the question is “how is my dress today?”, in body image issues, the questions change to, “how am I today?”. And there in minutes to change words and thoughts, they start doubting not the material but their existence and what they represent to the outer world. This in turn portrays how they think of themselves as this constant representation of the Self leads to a situation of mirror surroundings and influence how they feel about themselves.Body image consciousness is a phenomenon which occurs mostly when there becomes a certain concern extra concern for the individual outside than the individual inside. Over due course of time people have encountered numerous methods of tackling these issues. Sometimes they stem from the standards set by the society, sometimes they rise up out of self expectation. Few industries, majorly Fashion and the cinema industry, have seen individuals going to lengths to deal with body image issues and how they want to be perceived in this industry. Because of the rise of show biz, it became important for people to feel good, show good and take care of their bodies. The industry itself has putten up standards and stereotypes on beauty, talent and style. Through which the stars gaining up to fame and being in the eyes of a larger audience was integral to their performance. Many of these stars had influences in the public so much so, that they wanted to adopt their lifestyle and profess their style of living and thinking. Some well known artists and celebrities in the Indian cinema industries have adopted various ideologies and they have different perceptions on this issue and here are few examples.SRIDEVIEVERGREEN BEAUTYThe late actress was said to always be in her glorified young years even after surpassing her young adult age and contributing decades of marvellous works to the film industry. Sri Devi hammered claims saying that ladies more than 40 should take care of themselves and do what makes them attractive. In spite of the fact that her fans view her as an evergreen delight since her flicks like Naagin and Mr. India , the on-screen character has had an extremely nose job and botox besides the face-lifting and body-tucking surgery done. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN THE CULTURE PULLS ME INThe performing artist, who brought the unattainable size zero fever in drift, has always been blessed with good looks and features. Even after following dietary restrictions and having strict workout regimes, Kapoor blames her Punjabi culture for being a foodie and her natural instinct towards north Indian delicacies. In an interview for a leading magazine she says, "I don’t know how the size-zero thing started—but I was only 27 and I wanted to do it for a role. It looked amazing, but that was then. I’ve been in the business for a long time since, and I’m more mature—now, it’s about being fit. I’m definitely comfortable in my skin right now” SHILPA SHETTYFIT IN FIFTYShe unquestionably is synonymous to wellness in our nation. After being Recognised as one of the top selling fitness freak actors, Shilpa with her faultless skin, slim midriff, idealize bends and thick hair make her a universal top choice. She claims that her idea of self fitness and hygiene is driven by the motivation of looking at her best at her 50.There have been many such perspectives from the other sides of the gender and industry spectrum, but these were few of the most influential ones. They set the trend for any new style by making it their own and producing a sense of aesthetic with it. Be it as a response to the media or social changes, One’s wellness should be the top priority, both physical and mental. In the end the question should be,Mirror on the wall, who’s the most themselves of them all?
Ganesha – the all time favoriteLord Ganesha, one of the most famous and favorite among all especially the kids. Do we really know about him? He's just famous as the elephant headedGod with a big belly who is usually found playing around everywhere with hisbest friend the Mouse and eating his favorite food Modak. There are someincidents through which Ganesha proved himself one among the others.Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva was supposed to go for bath and she wasalone as Shiva was busy meditating on the mountains. She wanted someone toguard her door when she goes and it was only Nandi (Shiva's bull) who could doit. She told Nandi to guard the door and let no one enter till she asks him. Nandidid accept her orders, but he being loyal to Shiva let's him enter inside with whichParvati gets very angry thinking of no one being loyal to her, takes off herturmeric paste applied on her body and makes an idol of a boy and then puts lifeto him and names him Ganesha and declares him to be her own son who wouldbe loyal to her always. Every time she wished to bathe she instructed Ganeshato guard her door and not let anyone enter. One day when he was guarding the door, Shiva happened to come and justrushed inside, but at his surprise, he found a strange boy guarding the door andstopping him to enter in. On asking him who he was and why was he stoppinghim to enter his own house, Ganesha introduces him to be Parvati's son andinforms him, thus, as per her orders he would not allow him to enter. Shiva, furiously warns him to let him go or else he would have to battle with him.Ganesha denies to let him enter and so Shiva asks his army to attack him, butGanesha very bravely rebelled them. Shiva had realized that he was not anordinary boy and thus decided to himself fight with Ganesha and with his divinefury his trishul poking his head cut on the ground and killed him instantly. When Parvati came out after her bath and saw Ganesha lying down, ran towardshim and had found herself extremely hurt and insulted that, she wanted todestroy the whole creation. But, Brahma, being the creator appeared suddenly atthe spot to know what had happened and pleaded her to take back her words. She furiously denied to change her decisions and narrated them the whole case.Shiva apologized for his mistake and tried to keep her cool and decided to getthe head of any first living being they find and would place it on Ganesha's head. So, he ordered Brahma to move towards the north direction and get any head hefinds. In a short time Brahma returns back with a strong big head of an elephantand hands it over to Shiva. Looking at that Parvati was very annoyed thinking- “aboy with an elephant head” and so denied to accept it. But, Shiva explained herthat though he would be an elephant headed, he would not be an ordinary boy,but would be worshiped before all the other Gods. He places the head on thebody and gives him life and declares him to be his own elder son and named himGanapati (leader of the beings)As time passed, Ganesha started growing and with many such incidentsthere was one of the most famous incidents when Ganesha and his youngerbrother Karthik were discriminated and and were tested who was wiser amongthe both. The Devas had insisted to test their qualities and intelligence and so allof them decided to go to Brahma being the creator of the universe would cleartheir doubt. On asking him, he too was speechless that who wiser among theboth. So he decided to send his mischievous son Narada to clear the doubt.Narada, who was always prompt with his pranks had a wonderful plan to testthem so he reached to the divine couple Shiva and Parvati with a magical fruitand insisted them to give it to the one whom they liked the most. They were bothconfused to whom to give it. At the same time Ganesha and Karthik reachedthere and insisted to have the fruit. Shiva and Parvati then decided to organize atest between them. They in the center and all the other gods and goddessessurrounded by them. Ganesha and Karthik in the middle were all prepared for thetest. Karthik was confident enough to win it, as he was a fit and fine. Well,Ganesha was stout and with a big belly who could hardly move from his placefast. Ganesha was very cool and was least concerned about what was going tohappen. They then announced that either of them who goes around the wholeworld thrice and reaches back to them first would get the magical fruit. Karthik, very spontaneously moved on with his peacock and Ganesha puzzled, thinkinghow he would manage as he was too stout and his mouse too small to cope upKarthik, so very wisely Ganesha joined his hands and started moving around hisparents Shiva and Parvati three times. Surprisingly, when he was asked for thereason, he replied, “You have created me, and thus, for me you are the world. So, i don't find it worth wasting my time moving anywhere else” and hecompleted his task very efficiently. Not only Shiva and Parvati but, all presentthere, were very impressed by his wise act and gave him the fruit and cheeredfor him. Thus, Ganesha has been given the dominion over all the Ganas, whichmeans all the classes- be it Gods, humans, insects, animals or celestial beings. Itis said that we have to respect and honor all these Ganas and if do not do so, allour actions are known as the form of thievery as they are not sanctioned. So,instead of preaching each Gana differently, in order to receive the blessings, itwas decided to bow the Lord of all, Shri Ganesha (which means God of allGanas) By receiving his grace, we receive it from all and he removes all thepotential obstacles and helps us to succeed.

Taking a little hiatus to their lives. We never forget what a mess we were at 16! A big group of friends or no friends at all, being a bully or getting bullied, a friendly person or an introvert who were never in love with their voice. Maybe? Faking smiles or laughing all day long, Dried eyes or dove eyes, racing with the wind at the speed of light, classmates who were irritating before, started residung in the hearts! trying to cover acne, carefree yet insecure about themselves, shot up hormones, distancing themselves from parents, intriguing or rather, questions at every step, looking at the world through a different lens. Undoubtedly, teenage life is the most confusing phase of one's life. How desperatelywe wished to relive those years and change them or live them again? That chapter of life, we all agree was no cake walk but surviving it and living it creating memories seems to be a victory in itself. It looks like a crucial step in the evolution of man which made us strong was this silly age. It seems to shape our present and that is quite a generalized statement. Isn't it?Teens question everything. Yes, even if they have google! It doesn't matter. They will always be in denial. They keep oscillating and floundering in their likes and dislikes. All in all, most of the Indian adults don't know how to bait their rebellious kids. They keep lecturing them which is usually right but the young ignited mind feels the anguish, hatred and obviously, the feeling of being misunderstood. It is okay, teens! you all are hastily running towards your dream, expecting a rise while nature awaits for your great fall!Yes, you will hit the wall just when you were expecting a door!Integrity without even getting noticed will turn you into a cruel satirist! wait for it! until your next fall which will again turn you into a humble person, or, maybe not? Rise- fall- Rise. We all learn from these years. Lots of Food and strange FolksRegular laughing at our own jokes. Fake friends, real friends, BFFs, bf, gf, mum, paa, and teacher with some funny nicknames. The depth of relations is measured by the length of the abbreviations. Validation of the outside world becomes supreme, often influencing your own decisions? Every day looks like the next moment of Insidious! Disappearing dreams, nightmares becoming reality perfectly blending with the virtual world. Basically, several old frames chuckling up to enter the world of transitions. MESS is one word and Embracing it becomes a necessity. You wish to pull the strings all along but instead gets pulled up by the world!?! Till then you figure out yourself, let me leave you wondering about HAPPY ADULTING!?!

StoryMirror interviewed Viral Thakker and spoke about his venture eBZaar. Here is what he has to say.Q. Tell us about yourself and your backgroundI (Viral Thakker) have 13 years of corporate experience (prior to starting up), primarily as a corporate banker (Relationship Manager) working at ICICI, HSBC and JPMorgan amongst others and managing a portfolio of Fortune 500 companies, top 10 Indian Conglomerates and top 10 PSUs. After completing my Chartered Accountant course, I had a stint in internal & process audits, though business (sales) was always my calling. Audit happened by chance (or brutally put for incorrect guidance and then lack of opportunity) and a Sales role was by choice. My last role was an Executive Director at JPMorgan providing Trade Finance and Working Capital Loan solutions to clients North and East India markets.I also have 20yrs+ of experience as a grocery retailer, in a family business. Have first-hand experience as a milk delivery boy to procurement, selling at the cash counter, keeping track of margins, SKUs, what inventory to push and how to build a loyal customer base built on customer service and trust.Q.What is your life's greatest dream? To be atop Mount Everest and to travel the world. Q. What's is your business all about?eBZaar.com sells fruits, grocery, mithai, cakes, flowers, meat, sea food etc. eBZaar.com makes daily shopping easy and rewarding for the consumer. While daily shopping has many inconveniences, it is no secret that customers love their local stores who provide the right quality, the right products and the right price points. eBZaar empowers these local stores to come online. We provide them a free of cost digital store to help them sell to online customers. At the same time, customers get to buy all their varied grocery at one place, in an online avatar and with all conveniences of online shopping added. In other words, it customers are buying from a real world store but without the need to visit the store.Q. What are its main features and USP?The main feature is that eBZaar allows customers to shop from her own stores - that same quality, same price, same reliability. But now that her life is digital, she also sees the store in her digital world, available 24X7, better price discovery, improved product discovery and a uniform shopping experience. As soon as customer enters the platform, she inputs delivery address and her nearby stores are shown to her. She selects the store, shops from the store and checks out.We simply build upon the loyalty and trust that a customer already has with her favourite local store and add the digital layer; you can say we bring back the choice of products, quality and price points back to the customer; a factor that many large ecommerce offerings overlook.eBZaar also ensures that only your well known and trusted stores are on-boarded onto its platform, yes we have a curation process. This has been one of the success factors in our internal metrics which perform better then some industry averages.Q. What inspires you?To make a mark, to leave a legacy, to not give up, to make it happen – that is very inspiration to me. Sports stories and war stories of fighting out the odds inspires me. Towards, I see Entrepreneurship as an opportunity to make a real world large impact, to make the world a better place. And retail transformation is a chosen space due to my background.Entrepreneurship was always lurking as part of my aspiration as much as banking as a career. As I set about doing my research, I figured that the technology space was evolving rapidly, the big tech eComm players were becoming big, offering huge discounts to force customers to move online. The rate of technology adoption by consumers has been much higher compared to a retail stores. I realized that the retailer has failed to keep pace in the embracing technology, and if this continued, it will become a matter of survival for them. From the context of running a family grocery business for 25 years, I obviously had a lot of passion for this segment, and pull of retail was inherent in my thought process. I could feel and see their potential pain, this was most inspiration as I quit JPMorgan to set out on my own.The shopkeepers or the banyas are otherwise a very smart set of people. Sooner or later, they’d realise the need for online strategy. We decided to make this as our mission - to bring back parity between the tech savvy online consumers and the lesser evolved local stores, connecting them both on a single online platform. The obvious question was: What if I could add a layer of technology to create convenience on top of the existing trust and goodwill already built by the local kirana stores? Thus eBZaar was conceived. Beyond mere survival, it helps local retailer to also compete effectively in the digital world. I had always wanted to grow our family business manifold in to a big organised set of retail stores, after all as a Gujarati, business is in my DNA. And so our mission was formed, a mission of connecting a 100 thousand stores to more then 10million customers in next few years, using tech & online marketing for the digital transformation in retailQ. How do you want to see yourself 5 years from now?eBZaar is on a mission to connect million of stores of 100 million online customers in a few years time. However, they must keep an eye out for the lurking danger as there is a person who is on the quest to bereave them of something which will certainly put their and whole world’s fate in jeopardy. How will their destiny unfold? The cover is catchy enough and the reader shall pick the book up just after looking at it once, the blurb as compared to the story gives an apt just of the entire story. The title My Love Is Away From Mortality is apt according to the plot. This is the story of the protagonist Manav Kashyap and Aditi Gupta. Manav is a sleepyhead and a football lover on the other hand Aditi a pessimist and a book worm. Aditi and Manav soon became friends in school. They were intimate in School days, but the distance started growing between them when they took admission in different colleges. Still their hearts always covet for each other all the time. Despite knowing that their world will be meaningless without each other, still their hearts were not convincing enough to confess their love for each other. Will Manav confess his love with Aditi? How will there destiny unfold? To know more what happened next read the book. However, one thing i want Manav to know is that even if something undesirable happens. I will never stop loving him. I am mortal, but my love for him is away from mortality.Words flow smoothly and emotions find expression thus making the book a veritable treat. Never felt my interest waning. The every scene and all character are well crafted that you can actually get images of them in your mind. Narration of the novel is simple and really nice. The pace is perfect, neither slow nor too fast. It is steady and smooth. Language is perfect, simple yet elegantly written. I did not liked the climax and Salistonia story felt in complete. I wouldn’t say it would be the same when you finish reading it. Perceptions may differ. You might like the way the story ends. The author has portrayed each and every character with utmost significance of their own and every one of them has done justice to their respective roles throughout the story. An engrossing read that’s capable of keeping the reader on edge till the very end. Looking forward to read more to read more works by the author.Highly Recommended to all book worms.Overall Ratings-4/5 StarsAbout the AuthorVansh is currently pursuing his higher studies. On the same time were very active and weren't obsessed with mobile/laptop.No job,No Money, no tension, free food, free hugs n kisses, bedtime stories. Eat,play,sleep......and then repeat we don't do care about anything else. You do not care how you look, what people think about you. You can play in mud without caring about your clothes, you can cry loudly anytime anywhere. We dont have any responsibilities and, the amount of care and affection towards us is so high and the major thing is that we are not blinded by money which is mere entity that cause the differences in the society. We're taken care by our parents, and elders, we're dependent on them we don't have to care for ourselves. Our hearts we're pure, unadulterated and simple. We're completely unawared from the materialistic world that was existing outside the walls. We have tensions in that period of our lives as well but they're just about studies Tensions of not finding my classwork copy just before the day of the weekly test, Tension of holidays ending and the holiday homeworks still pending. The rationale she gave for this atrocious wrongdoing will traumatise you!
How often do we say thank you and really mean it?To God, to people who serve us or to mother nature...How often do we thank God for the eyes we open in the morning? For there are many who couldn't see the brightness of the sun today. How often do we thank God for the air we breathe? For there are many, who are putting a lot of efforts to breathe and there are many again, who just took their last breath. How often do we thank God for the people around us? For there are many who are alone and fighting depression. How often do we thank God for the home we live in? For there are many who have no roof. How often do we thank God for our job? For there are many educated unemployed. How often do we thank our maids, our help and other service providers? For there are many who are in dire need of help but have to manage all by themselves. We are busy complaining and comparing and forgoing happiness ourselves.Today it has been scientifically proven that expressing gratitude makes you a happier person. With this follows my third story "Faith" which was published in Dreamz Anthology last year. Although a fiction, it has been inspired by real life events.FaithAfter collecting their bags, Rishabh and Daman went to hire a taxi while Tania and Disha waited near the exit with luggage by their side. When the boys were approaching their girls, Rishabh could effortlessly notice the contrasting personalities of the two females standing a few steps away.Rishabh and Tania had been together since their first year while Disha and Daman, already in a relationship, had met the duo during their internship. Their night duties and a zest for clubs and night life had brought them together.Tania was soft, plump and fair skinned with hazel eyes, almost like the furry overcoat in her hands. With her chubby cheeks, dimply smile and a compassionate heart she had been the spirit of the hospital. Disha, on the other hand had a vivid sex appeal. She too, wore jegging with nude peep toes; her white translucent shirt with a tiny golden heart shaped pendant hanging just above the cleavage made her look sensual.Within an hour they were in their pre-booked private beach resort in Phuket. Tania had booked it after an intensive search for a quite beach resort within their budget for their weeklong holiday. The resort was truly a paradise for the couples. With their cottage doors and windows opening to the sea on one side and pool on the other, the couples were already thrilled.“The lunch is ready so please freshen up and join at the restaurant,” said the manager handing over the keys to their porter.“I really want to take out my clothes and swim,” said Disha, gaping at the Europeans enjoying in the pool bar.“Me too Honey! But let’s have our lunch first,” said Daman putting his arms around her waist while Disha’s eyes were on Rishabh who was looking around with Tania just a few steps ahead. The moment they stepped into the room, Tania kissed Rishabh, who was still brooding over Disha’s changing behavior. Rishabh also kissed her in reciprocation and then rushed to washroom.Tania took out her diary and started scribbling, with a gentle smile on her face.“What are you doing now? I guess we are on a vacation, right!” asked Rishabh, the moment he came out.“Ofcourse! We certainly are! You know, how much I have yearned for these holidays,” said Tania with a beam and got up with her diary folded in her right hand to kiss her beau.“This is my gratitude journal and before I forget, I want to write all those things, I am grateful for. I am just trying to remember the magic of the day till now”.“Magic!” Rishabh wondered.“Daddy’s permission for a trip with friends, riding an airplane which is a wonder in itself, a power nap refreshing me for the day, safe landing, a sunny day after cold foggy days of Delhi, a pre-nuptial honeymoon with the most handsome doc, a beautiful silent beach resort within our budget, an awesome cottage by the sea, all four of us together….in Phuket. I have already counted ten blessings, which are no less than magic for me,” said Tania with a smile and coiled to the writing desk behind to put down her diary.“Hmm! U know your attitude is what pulls me like a magnet to you. But everyone today, wants to have fun and so work on their goals to go for vacations,” said Rishabh.“Wrong! Not every girl is getting a permission from her parents, planes can crash any time, many can’t even see or experience the sun, there are many who can’t sleep properly where as I managed a great sleep in the plane, many love stories end up before they are born, many can’t afford even a budget resort forget the sea view or pool view,” said Tania asserting herself. “I am more grateful when I talk about it and you are also one of the manifestations for me.”Rishabh came from a small town of Uttarakhand and was living in a hostel. His extremely fair complexion behind the black beard and an athlete built up with ever shining inquisitive eyes had always made him stand out in the college group.Tania, on the other hand, had been a day-scholar. Her mom was very fond of Rishabh ever since Rishabh had saved Tania from an accident. Rishabh’s family was also under the magical spell of Tania although they met on rare occasions.Suddenly the phone bell rang.“Are you both ready?” asked Daman.“Oh yes! We will be out in a few more minutes,” replied Rishabh and kept the phone. While Tania changed, Rishabh found himself sandwiching between a nymph and a desirable seductress.Soon four of them were in the restaurant. They occupied a table near the portico with floral climbers till the square open roof tops. It was a breath taking view. The pool had umpteen Europeans swimming in it to tan their bodies. They were all basking under the sun and happy escaping the severe winters of their respective countries. At the brim of the pool were the sculptures of mermaids, painted in pink, blue and golden, pouring water into the pool from the pitchers in their hands. Just behind the pool, they could only see the huge serene and clear blue and green sea. The beach in between was not visible from the partly open restaurant. Tania and Daman were enjoying every bit of the picturesque scenery while Disha creeped her chair just opposite to Rishabh.Rishabh, now felt trapped almost like a monkey with its fist in the trap which can’t come out unless he releases the bananas or the nuts inside. Disha’s oomph factor, quite visible in her red strappy dress with blood red lipstick and penetrating eyes were, no doubt pulling him.Suddenly, Daman clenched his hand onto the table with his eyes still stuck to the vast sea and said, “Guys I am going to buy some vodka and wine and enjoy the evening here inside the pool. What say? No sightseeing, no clubbing. Let’s celebrate here for tonight.” All the three immediately agreed with a “wow” and so after the lunch, Daman went out for some liquor shopping while Tania ran and jumped into the hammock on the beach.“I don’t want to tan my body. I am going to my room guys!” said Disha while Rishabh’s eyes silently chased Disha although he chose to relax on the wooden recliners at close quarters with Tania.Tania was basking under the sun and enjoying the gentle touch of sea breeze. She was thankful for her dream of the sea on one side and Rishabh on the other. Soon, she was asleep. Rishabh was waiting for this; he suddenly got up and sneaked to Disha’s room.Disha was relaxing right there on the bay window. Her smooth, saucy legs turned Rishabh on. He didn’t want to waste the time. He jumped right from the window.“I was waiting for you,” she said in a husky voice into her ears while Rishabh hushed her and kissed. The moment he was to open the zip of her dress, the door bell rang. Rishabh stealthily jumped out of the window. Can’t believe it! You were waiting for me….curtains closed, much wavy locks, sensuous foot rub? What a beautiful kick! Incredible Phuket!” shouted Daman throwing his bag.“Oh you and your gratitude journal! Looks like we’re on your gratitude trip!” said Rishabh irritatingly, the moment he entered the room.“Look who is talking! I looked out for you on the beach and when I didn’t find you, I came back,” said Tania with a shock in her eyes. “By the way, I was thanking God for our beautiful future!”“Which has not even set in!” Rishabh said spitefully.“Why?” Tania gets surprised. “We are already in our honeymoon. What else do you need to start? Come here and sit,” she flipped her pages without enquiring further.“See just six months back, I had thanked God for my dream trip to Thailand and to a private beach resort in Phuket. Isn’t it a dream come true?” she showed her diary to Rishabh with date.Rishabh read her journal and couldn’t believe his eyes. Tania was right and then she showed her a few of her dreams manifested in the past one year, her mother’s health, her brother’s dream job and her results.“Believe me! God has abundance for all of us. You just need to have faith,” said Tania with a smile.Rishabh gazed at her in awe. He was certainly learning more about Tania, huddled over her dairy, in her denim shorts, red puff sleeved top and long straight tresses, she was definitely a fusion. Her thoughts on couple’s compatibility before marriage appeared strange in front of her deep faith like a good old granny.“Her aura always touches my soul. How can I ignore such a beautiful personality, inside out?” said Rishabh to himself. In the evening four of them sat together in the pool bar and enjoyed the cocktails, mock tails, pizza and swimming too. Rishabh tried to ignore the seductress in the string bikini, revealing her petite body.“Daman my back is burning. Can you please check?” said Disha with her eyes again on Rishabh.“There’s nothing honey. Let me rub some ice,” replied Daman and picked an ice cube to rub at her smooth dripping bony back. “You are tantalizing me!” he said in a low voice.“Let me enjoy the weather,” said Tania and swam towards the other end of the pool which meandered till the corner of the vast resort. Rishabh followed Tania. After the Christmas and New Year bash filled with music, dance, drum, wine, beer, fun, food and frolic they were all ready to leave Phuket. Rishabh still ….a pendulum.Their return tickets were booked from Bangkok. The taxi was booked and they happily bid Phuket a goodbye. As they drove their way, the darkness slowly covered the blue and orange sky and the stars slowly took over their positions, the four travelers were enjoying the music.Onthe Phuket- Bangkok Highway near Suratthani, the driver requested them to put some holy chants in his broken english.“Why?” asked Tania.“Madaame, this is accident zone and pirits….you know gosts…. stop caar causing accidents. I am Buddhist, I want to put …chanting,” replied the cab driver.“Are you mad!” giggled Rishabh“Don’t make fun!” said Tania pinching his arm.“Let the music run. We are doctors and don’t believe in ghosts,” said Rishabh reproachfully.“I don’t understand why do you like this metal?” saidTania in a teasing tone. “Let him put chanting for some time.”The moment Rishabh turned to reply; the taxi took a blind turn in order to save a creature crossing over and toppled upside down.Unable to open the doors and windows, they all shouted but in vain. The breathlessness suddenly increased. The three doctors tried their best while Tania prayed for help and imagined that help had arrived, thanking God for the same, repeatedly deep inside her heart.Driver and Disha had already fainted. Daman and Rishabh had also started losing hope when two men on a bike crossed the overturned car. They stopped and drooped to peep inside.Tania gesticulated forrescue.None of them could believe that they had survived a fatal accident. They thanked the good Samaritans who left almost like a bubble. While Tania and Rishabh brought Disha and driver back to their senses, Daman checked the car. The magic was still in the air or the angelic touch, the car turned on.Daman drove the car now with driver by his side; Rishabh took his window seat with Tania by her side. But this time, holding each other’s hand firmly with faith multiplied. The near death experience had turned everyone grateful for their magical retrieval.“Thank You Tania!” Rishabh mumbled in the ears of his lady of faith and felt fleshed out with love and faith.

You might heed the news line likeWars with our neighbours at borderContinuous operations by army in India-Pakistan BorderDemise of a soldierEach item is one among the news for us.But,the very fact will threaten the dependents of those who were involved in war. Each soldier is replaceable for their official wok. But,Don’t they know they are irreplaceable for the dependents? We as a human being have a tendency not to see the intangibles. You might not know the support of your parents till they no longer existYou might also don’t aware the financial support given by the current job until you are firedYou might also don’t aware of the learning your current job given, until you use it in one of circumstances which many don’t knowThe list goes on.Similar to that, sacrifices made by the soldiers will not be boastable until it no longer exists.of course there are cons among the soldiers.Just be honest with you and answer it,Are you a pure good person? Just imagine what sort of agony will happen if soldiers went on a strike for the suffering they are undergoingThey don’t have the fundamental rights which you are exercising. They don’t have the luxurious life which you are enjoyingThey don’t eat the tastiest food you are eating during critical timesThey have to fight even though they are wounded to defend youList of sacrifices goes on.If you faced any such situations mentioned below, you might realise that person is GODSomeway you are being late to your home ‘cause of work.you are in the bus on the way to your home.Your stop has arrived. When you stepped out and see the street. No one is there. You can see some group of person who seems to be intoxicated around the street corner.Even Though your hostel seems to closer in day time, you are thinking it is so longer now. After overcoming your fear with courage, you are walking very fast. But,you are feeling your heartbeat is beating at a faster rate than you think, when you saw someone is stalking you.You seems to be murmuring something. When it was focussed little bit,it seems to be a prayer to GOD to save you from this risk.Suddenly you are feeling relaxed by hearing the siren of the police jeep. You felt relaxed.but, yet you are feeling insecure, police also might harass you.You felt more relaxed when the person stalking you moved out of your way by hearing sirens. You need BSF to maintain the integrity of state at Indo-Pak borderYou need police at local to maintain the law and orderYou need the NDRF to rescue you during disasterYou need ITBP to maintain the integrity of state at Indo-China borderYou need navy officers to patrol at sea to avoid the intrusion of enemiesTheir role to protect us is irreplaceable. You cannot do anything for them for the sacrifice done by them to protect us.All you can do , being pride about having someone to shed the blood to defend you.A warm salute to all the soldiers in their different faces with common goal to defend us.Jai Hind!!!

Importance:How oxygen, food & water are essential for our survival same way celebration of national festival is essential for our existance in this world. It fulfill us with patriotism whichbring along a spirit of love and devotion for the country also National Festival strengthen the social relations and communications which leads to unity among people and also bring us more closer to our nation which is helpful in promoting the national harmony. Independence Day, 15th August celebration is a way to remind the people about our hard earned freedom and that we must respect and value it more. It inspires people to stay united and serve the country in every possible way. It is a day to celebrate the true spirit of freedom. It is of great importance to all the Indian citizens, thus everyone actively participates in the national festival celebration every year. Independence Day reminds us of the heroic deeds of our leaders and freedom fighters who helped us attain freedom. This is the main reason why we celebrate our national festivals with pride and love for our country. If our brave freedom fighters would not have been sacrificed we would not have even been able to breathe freely in our country. Forget about the national festival celebration our revered religious festivals would also not have been possible. On this day : India celebrates three National Festivals – Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. We the citizens of India celebrate these festivals with full fervour. For India, 15 August is a golden day of her re-birth, a new start. At the midnight of 15 August 1947, the British rulers handed the country back to its Indian leaders, ending a remarkable 200 years old struggle and India became a sovereign nation. Independence Day is celebrated by every citizen of India irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The Prime Minister of India hoists the Indian National Flag from Red Fort every year. This is followed by 21 gun shots to salute and honour the Indian flag and solemn occasion. The Prime Minister then addresses the citizens of the country. Numerous events are organized in various places throughout the country in entire atmosphere is infused with love and devotion for the country. Many educational institutes also organize kite flying competitions which is also a way of expressing the freedom. We honour these noble souls by singing songs and poems in their praise. It is a great site to see little children dressed up as various freedom fighters on this day. In short, every person in the country revels in the nationalistic pride.Several cities in the United States have declared 15 August as 'India Day'.Relevance :In present scenario it is very much relevent because it reminds us and repicturise the secrifices of our freedom fighters which inspire us to maintain our freedom and do our best for our motherland . Patriotism doesn’t require a special date or occasion to express itself. The only thing needed is that we should have immense amount of love and respect for our country. We should not confined patriotism to these selected days only and national festival celebration doesn’t only mean flag hoisting, singing our national anthem and participating in competition on subjects of nationality but it will be worth celebrating if practically we take care of everything like plantation, garbage cleaning, recycling, rejuvenating our mother rivers ,protecting our forests , providing healthy and encouraging environment to growing children, respecting our elders, maximum utilisation of renewable energy resources. If through out the year we do all these definitely we will feel proud while flag hoisting and that will be real tribute to our revered freedom fighters. During our freedom fighter’s time Britishers were our biggest and worst enemy but in today’s scenario corruption, poverty, environment problems and many more big issues are our worst enemies which we have to eradicate. When we remember our national heroes, their working policies it guides us in dealing present crisis. So it is very much relevant to celebrate our national festivals because it invokes the feeling of patriotism in the people of our country and inspire them to become soldier. Our heroes ideology leads us on every step and inspire us to work towards its betterment and development and also gives a sense of belonging and a responsibility towards our country. Many questions arise in our citizens mind like- Has India’s growth happened in real sense? India is independent in manufacturing and producing many technical and industrial goods. We can take pride in the space technology and development in this field. But growth of any country is this all about? all these growth matter less until all the problems related to humanity is solved in real sense. Like this question arise in every citizen’s mind and live example of this is mushrooming NGOs in india which are crusaders of humanity. To encourage them and motivate them several awards are there for such crusader in India. Do we really love our country? If it would have been true our news papers would not have been filled more than 50% with demotivating news. Whenever we celebrate independence day this question arise in every citizen’s mind and force them to do conscious efforts towards positive growth of our beloved country.Celebrating independence day don’t allow us to divert from our right path but encourage us to take up new resolution every year for our motheland’s real growth. I feel proud to be Indian because our country has taught us that the meaning of life is not only to live but live with dignity, respect others rights and understand own duties and responsibilities. JAI HIND !

Which Weight Loss Pills Really Work? When it comes to weight loss, there is no shortage of pills, drinks, and supplements claiming to help the weight fall off. But do weight loss pills help, and are they safe? The best weight loss pills may contain one or more active ingredients intended to increase fat burning, decrease appetite, or reduce absorption of fat.Not all weight loss pills and supplements are created equal. Certain pills may cause unpleasant side effects while others may not be proven to result in weight loss.We will look at the following nine weight loss pills and supplements:REDUCTIL 15MGMERIDIA 15MGADIPEX-P 37.5MGPrescription Weight Loss PillsREDUCTIL 15MGIt is important to research carefully before choosing a weight loss pill, as some may have side effects, or interact with existing conditions.REDUCTIL is the brand name for the drug REDUCTIL 15MG. It is one of the most popular weight loss pills.REDUCTIL is available as a prescription drug and also sold over the counter. It works by preventing the body from breaking down of some of the fat that people eat. When the intestines absorb less fat, weight loss may occur.A review of 11 studies indicated that REDUCTIL 15MG might increase weight loss by a small amount. This is the side effect of having any weight loss pills. The review found that those who took REDUCTIL 15MG lost an average of 2.9 percent more weight than those who did not take the drug.REDUCTIL 15MG may cause a change in bowel habits. People taking REDUCTIL 15MG may experience side effects, such asdiarrhea, stomach pain, and difficulty controlling bowel movements.2. MERIDIA 15MGMERIDIA 15MG is a stimulant found in coffee, tea, soft drinks, and chocolate. It is also often added to diet pills and supplements. Meridia (Sibutramine) is prescribed in the treatment of patients with high index of body weight, obesity. It is not recommended to use the drug during the initial stage of the obesity because of the risk of side effectsAccording to a study of 76 obese adults, people who had high MERIDIA 15MG intake saw a greater reduction in fat mass, weight circumference, and overall weight compared to those who had low MERIDIA 15MG intake.Side effects of MERIDIA 15MG include jitteriness, increased heart rate, and trouble sleeping.3. ADIPEX-P 37.5MGAdipex-P 37.5MG is a type of fiber supplement. It works by absorbing water in the gut, leading to a feeling of fullness that may prompt people to eat less.Studies appear to be conflicting on whether Adipex-P 37.5MG can aid in weight loss, however.A 2005 study of 176 people indicated that Adipex-P 37.5MG contributed to weight loss in healthy, overweight adults. However, a more recent review of randomized control trials indicated that Adipex-P 37.5MG did not appear to result in significant weight loss. For those who do take Adipex-P 37.5MG, side effects may include gas, diarrhea, and stomach pain.4. Prescription weight loss pillsCertain weight loss pills are only available through a doctor's prescription. Although there are various pills on the market, most weight loss medications work by making it harder to absorb dietary fat or by suppressing the appetite. Two common weight loss pills are Belviq and Qsymia.Prescription pills may lead to some weight loss, but they can have side effects. Depending on the prescription, side effects of weight loss pills can include stomach pain, dry mouth, and diarrhea.TakeawayWhen it comes to the best weight loss pills, it appears there is no magic bullet. Although some of the diet pills and supplements mentioned above may contribute to weight loss, the amounts are usually modest.MERIDIA 15MG, green tea extract, and REDUCTIL appear to have the most research to back up their claims. Some weight loss pills can also lead to side effects, with the most common being stomach discomfort and changes in bowel movements.Dietary supplements do not face the same scrutiny as drugs that are approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), so their safety is not always fully understood. Before taking any supplement for weight loss, it is best to talk with a doctor or other healthcare professional. The best bet for people trying to lose weight is to reduce portion size, eat lean protein and veggies, and get regular exercise.

This is a very complex question. So a detailed answer.Corporate hospitals. There are few high flying doctors in India who are superstars like Amir, Shahrukh and Akshay, who earn loads of money, but majority of the doctors working in corporate hospitals are like the background dancers dancing along with the superstars doing ‘thatha thiyaa’ and earning a fixed salary usually between 75000 to 1.5 lakhs post tax.In some hospitals the income is shared in the department. The big Boss takes 60 to 80 percent, the next senior takes 20 to 40 percent and the remaining doctors have to be satisfied with the bread crumbs. But remember that the superstars or big boss would have worked their ass off for decades to reach that level.Sometimes the big doctors won't allow junior talent to enter the hospital or rise up because of fear of competition.Corporate hospitals are run by businessmen and MBAs. They are listed on the stock markets and are there to make money for their share holders. It is rare to see a CEO of a corporate hospital staying there for more than a couple of years as they are under constant pressure to generate profits.Just like engineering colleges are mushrooming there has been an increase in post graduate doctors passing out. This benefits corporate hospitals as they are able to get labour at cheaper price, instead of employing 1 surgeon for 3 lakhs they can employ 3 for 1 lakh, the supply is exceeding the demand. Majority of corporate hospitals in cities are saturated.Government hospitalCentral government pay scales for doctors are similar to what a class 1 officer or teacher in IIT or NIT will earn. You can be a top class neurosurgeon or a mediocre physician or a pharmacologist your salary will be same. No private practice is allowed. Usually doctors interested in academics and research take up these jobs.State government. Some allow private practice others don't. Salaries are low in states were private practise is allowed. In Tamilnadu an assistant surgeon is paid about Rs 40000 a month. If you have a busy private practice you would generally resign your state government job and focus on private practice.Trust hospitalsThese are charitable hospitals and the pay scales of doctors here are usually very less. Doctors work here because they love what they are doing, most leave after few years when the realities of life strikes them and they find it difficult to provide for their families.Private practiceThis is a different ball game. You can open a small one room clinic and see few patients a day and earn about 50000 Rs a month or you can have your own hospital with beds and provide employment to others. This needs lot of investment and is beyond the means of most doctors. The khandhani doctors or doctors whose previous generations have been doctors usually have a preset clinic or if your parents are already wealthy (usually business) then it is easy to setup a hospital. But the profit margins I guess would be in the order of 10 to 15 percent like any other business. Then there are the free lancers who work in multiple hospitals. Traveling lots of Km daily from morning to late night in the heavy traffic to see patients and earn money. I doubt it if they have a life. I don't know how much they earn.To sum it up. My assessment is that the doctors earn the followingUp to age of 23: pocket money from parentsInternship: Rs 3500 to 20000 pm (depends on where you do your internship)25- early 30s: Rs 15000-80000 pm (depends on where you do your PG). Does not include tuition fees which even in government hospitals can go up to Rs 3-5 lakhs a year.1-3 years of unemployment in between preparing for PG seat. You are dependent on your parents or spouse for money.35 and above: Rs 75000 to 2 lakhs pm, that is what most doctors earn post tax. Few earn about 3 to 5 lakhs or above but they are in the tail end of the standard curve. As you see that doctors start earning a decent salary only in their 30s, a good decade after other professionals. The brightest, smartest and most hardworking student in the class takes up medicine in India. The same person in an another profession would have earned much more for the time and effort he puts in Medical profession. When he/she sees his/her classmates who idolized him/her earn more than him/her and having a better standard of life it pricks him in the corner of the heart, he/she is human after all and not a saint.Don't look at the outliers who earn outrageously, they don't represent the life of an average doctor. Just like all lawyers are not Jethalmani, Sibal or Salve, all doctors are not crorepatis.Remember as a doctor you are on call 24x7, there is no overtime pay, there is no risk allowance, there is no off for working on holidays. You don't get free food in the hospitals or sodexo coupons. Many times you can't afford the treatment you are giving to your patients. The corporate hospital you work in will not give you free treatment if you or your family members fall sick. You get only 2 weeks paid leave in a corporate hospitals and work week is from Monday to Saturday and not Friday.DON'T JOIN MEDICINE, IF YOU WANT TO EARN MONEY. There are easier and less stressful ways to do it. Doctors in India deserve to be paid better. Those who earn well, rarely get to enjoy the money they earn. It is usually the kids and spouse who benefit from what you earn. Most doctors have zero knowledge of finance, investment, stocks and mutual funds because they have no money for the first 10 to 15 years of life to invest. After that they use the money which comes to buy the necessary luxuries of life like car and house (on EMI) and then you feel it is too late to invest. My dear colleagues please correct me if my figures are wrong. I have never worked in a corporate hospital, I have based it on my interactions with friends working in corporate hospitals. To my non medical friends this post is not about corruption in medicine or the unethical practise being done by few doctors, that is a matter of discussion in a different answer. This post is about how a ethical, law abiding, tax paying doctor earns money.STILL I'M PROUD TO BE A DOCTOR AND CARDIOLOGIST 😊

Blessing, Philosophy and Wish. A small Note generated by Mantri Marku. Please Read and give Liking and feed-back.
Surrounding is a key factor in everyone. In my surrounding everywhere marriage is going on.When it comes to my marriage, I'm afraid of marriage and started thinking about lots of things.I'm very much clear about my choices and my family choices but still, I'm in dilemma to get marry andmake a new family.I did some research for that.I found some answers from my heart and some from observing my family & friends and some from media.I asked myself some questions so many times- what is marriage, what is good for me,love marriage or arrange marriage and how I know I got the right person, etc?Different people define it in different ways. Not even sociologists are able to agree on a single meaning.According to me, love is God gifted, it's doesn't matter you got love marriage or arrange marriage,in every marriage life love is essential. It does not matter, you love someonebefore or after marriage, the fact is how much you love him/her, how much you sharing and caring.Marriage and family are key structures in most societies.I am going to share some of the important things to make a healthy marriage -1.TrustJohn Gottman, one of the nation's foremost researchers of marriages and families, says that "trust is essential to healthy relationships and healthy communities."If you have strong trust then your relationship is healthy nothing will harm your relationship.2.TogethernessSometimes you do what you like, and other times you do...what the other person likes.Maybe people will understand this is a compromise but it's actually the color of love. You spend time together doing things you both enjoy.Whether that's hiking, food tasting, watching movies or listening to any song, or even working together. If one spouse is passionate about writing and reading then the other person should make time to read and give some tips to improve.3.Time ApartSometimes, giving space for each other is necessary. It is a boring life to spend 24 / 7 together and can't have separate interests and hobbies.you both understand, and respect, that you need time apart doing what you want to do.4. Attentiveness for each otherEven if u get the best chance for going somewhere or your favorite movie ticket,if your partner is not feeling well or he/she has some important work to do thendon't force.understanding each other's situation is the best part of your relationship.5.SharingSharing small things also gives more pleasure. If your situation is bad, don't hide it,since they will be there to comfort you and help you figure out ways to move on from this bad situation.6. Change OvernightDon't expect each other to change overnight. If your spouse is fat or thin or any bad habits they have then that won't make you feel ashamed or even expect you to change overnight.Make them understand that change is a process, and I will support you along the way.7. Do FightsDo some productive fights with him/her.This means listening to each other, understanding and respecting each other's viewpoints, and finding common ground so that you can strengthen your marriage.8. Value and GoalsShare each other's values and goals.I think it would be boring if a couple had the exact interests or personalities.so respect each other's interest and personality.Don't expect the same personality as yours.Let your spouse know how much you are proud of him/her. Celebrate his/her smallachievements.9. Helping each otherHelp each other to become more successful and to maintain a productive work-life balance. I saw in my family, a spouse is also your biggest strength in helping you achieve your goals and will do whatever they can, to help you overcome obstacles blocking your path to success in work and life. And they're genuinely excited when you succeed.10.Laugh“Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand.” – Mark Twain.Make your marriage fun and happy. Tell some words which make your spouse cheer up.When life is stressful this the best way to cheer up.11. ListenListen to him/her rather talking more (vise versa).Your spouse needs the gift of your time and attention. When you listen generously, your spouse will feel secure in coming to you with their concerns, hopes, and fears.Once you’ve identified what your spouse is feeling—whether it’s anger, sadness, frustration, anxiety, or excitement—you can adjust your responses based on their emotional state. When our emotions go into a tailspin, it can be difficult to keep communication healthy. One way to build intimacy in your relationship is by sharing your thoughts and feelingswith each other and then responding to those disclosures in a way that makes you both feel good.12.Seek KnowledgeSeek knowledge from each other. You may don't have the same knowledge. The right person is someone who is interested in learning and growing intellectually by constantly seeking knowledge.13. Ask for helpNever hesitate to ask for help.Asking for help is not your weakness. When you ask your spouse for advice or help you're respecting and admitting the fact that they have more experience or skills in an area that you're not that familiar with.14.Financial goalsYou share the same financial goals.Even the greatest of relationship can end in a break up due to financial differences and concerns. You should both be on the same page when it comes to your financial goals, such as how much moneyyou need to live a happy and stress-free life and how you're going to save for retirement.Strong couples create and share budgets, as well as generate financial challenges for themselvesin order to put their finances in order.15.Physical AffectionThe ways in which we can express physical affection vary and more research is needed.Physical affection is related to lower blood pressure & releases feel-good hormones. One of the reasons why hugging, holding hands, and touching feel good to us is that these behaviors elevate our level of oxytocin, a hormone that reduces pain and causes a calming sensation. How important is physical intimacy in a relationship and what does it really mean? It’s an expression of love.Being physically intimate means more than simply heading to the bedroom with your spouse.Physical intimacy can range from eye-contact, holding hands, cuddling, and of course, sex.Physical intimacy involves a deep emotional connection.Having a deep connection to your spouse on this level helps build trust, boosts morale, and has many health benefits.
Makati is the city that is known for it's coffee pubs, cultural glory and equal set up by the way it responds to the cultural nights and that is what we had been hoping for when in the early evening as a musical band we prepared ourselves for the Musical gig. Generally uptil now people had come to know what the 'The lightboom band' does and we were up for the challenge as we also had to perform up to the task with experts coming to analyse and thence a poetry night was also planned later after the musical performances which had to be kept in mind while performing on stage. In such basic conception what was the major concern that we should keep ourselves up to the time limit set as when the fb event was created we had expressed ourselves very clearly for what time introductions, musical night and poetry sessions would go on and we had to keep ourselves into that time frame to set up all core meetings with hussle and bussle happening with more people coming to the event and making it a cracker. When we started the show though we were very great to see the early impression and thence having certain time limit on hand with all the musical systems getting set the night was going to be a cracker with every musical person of the team responded with loud cheers, jeers and delight and thence we took the advantage and launched on to make it a cracker by all means. First the introduction of the people from the academic group proceeded in which the 8 faces from India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia were included who introduced themselves gracefully and explained their cause. Once that was settled, the multigenre writers including me went to the stage and raising our hands into the stands we introduced ourselves and the genre for which we had been here which was phenomenal in all respects. However there was a small hiccop and the old poetry friend Nick sir felt deranged himself deciding later to quit from our co-author project thus the poetry book titled 'Winner's love' has to be disposed of and now it shall be my own responsibility to write a book by my own commitment separately titled 'Culture of World ward 2' by myself which I announced on stage and it was equally congratuated with loud cheers. Besides the third introduction had certain great writers from England and they had come to review the event thence they introduced their cause to the night where it was also met with great cheers. After that a short evening supper time was announced and all who have gathered hardly felt eating themselves into the great cultural night thus in the food gathering it was now all settled for the musical night that was approaching on all fours now. After the supper was over, everybody was curious enough and all the people that had come went back to their seats now waiting for the musical night to come and let the Indian music rock into the stage that was set for our singers to perform and make the most of it by their musical voices. As planned before there were exactly four musical songs written and composed by ourselvss that had to be performed with the introduction of the team so that went great with complete agreement. First the musical instruments launched to the musical gears and thence the singers took on making the most of it which was great in all respects. The momentum they had required was on and hence with huge cheers, loud night voices and gearing move the musical team has impressed all which was the need of the hour and it went fantastic in all respects. Finally after the musical night it was getting late and time was running out thus without any hesitation the Poets were asked to come on stage and Nick sir was also invited amongst all of them for his self-poetry book 'Winner's love' now who's poetic lines he would be reading for which from inside he was pleased no dout though he was still confused with all the performances of Indians going around with Hindi on it's top gears. In the poetry session around 8 poets recited their poems on basis of the alphabetical order and it all went great with the people smiling around, the crowd was thinning but still interested and it was a cracker. On my part I got the chance to read poems of 'Asian Winds' and I did it with great joy feeling elated to get such a great response. Ultimately it was time for closing and for that honorary owners of the Corner Tree Cafe went to the stage and by their gratitude, thank you note and our acknowledgements to them the night was almost over with all went well. We are extremely thankful to our parents, family, and all who have trusted and supported our judgement in this musical cause which was great to see and the smiles are great on those faces who have been faithful to continue backing us on. However for those who not trust or get confuse now also I have said it countless times that for me 'Community first' approach is the key and if they don't believe it no matter what be the situations then they dont count for us and in our community approach only those things matter that are trusted on us. Finally I am highly obliged to the Corner Tree Cafe, their owners and they have agreed also to host a charity event next day for local Disability circle that is pleasing, Thus it is great to see you all contributing with such enthusiasm and we shal be happy to you for yor great support. For now it's goodbye Makati, thank you all for your love and turning up in such huge numbers, it was a great experience by all accounts...
Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.My Education, in olden days completed up to basic 10th class in a Sultan Bazar Government High School, Hyderabad. Then Two-Year Pre-University Course from Badruka College of Commerce and Management at Hyderabad. My Graduation in Commerce went in from Osmania University Affiliated College, Badruka College of Commerce & Management, Hyderabad. I did Diploma in Business Management (DBM) course from a Private Institute. I also did Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) from Private Institution. I did Typewriting Higher Grade and Stenography Higher Grades from then combined Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education, Hyderabad. How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write? My family heredity has Literature blood. By inspiring elders Literary works right from my childhood, I happened to inculcate the habit of literary writings. I have also worked hard to learn good English and Telugu languages for this purpose, though my mother tongue is Telugu. My Blood has got some Literary Blood Cells Therefore, I am a little-bit fluent in my writings, as I on and off keep my brain thinking always. More so, I don't like to keep idle myself. If I don't write and work each day, I don't get sleep, and I become erratic without work. What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? In the initial days, when I was writing literary type of work in especially in English, Readers used to comment about the mistakes. I used to refer to English Dictionary for better words. I used to correct myself with patience. I used to write better words in a bad sentence. I have developed the habit of writing English in Flowery Language, so that people/readers should read my literary work i.e., stories, song lyrics, haiku poetry, articles, essays, quotes, so on and so forth. Now I have become a little bit perfect, as I think myself, and started writing so many things pertaining to literature work. I am not getting any negative comments for my work. Only I used to get appreciation letters, good comments, and good encouragement and praising notes. I thought I would still contribute more to this World, where Top Level Literary Writers/Authors should Appreciate my works, and my ambition is to have my name in the World Famous Authors/Writers List, as a good Literary Writer, My Ambitions are more and I am working accordingly on daily basis. What is your view about the present day literary work? Present day Literary work is not that of a good Literature work, as evidenced by many Writers works. The standard of English writing is slightly just average. I have observed that my of the Technical and Management Graduates are unable to contribute to literary work, because they are all, to say many on software line. I observed that many of the software people never in the habit of writing articles/stories/songs/literary works, etc. This generation is such. Only old people used to write good English, as I knew and observed well in my life. More so, people and writers who are interested to write good literary work, need to get trained from senior mentors and continuously make a habit of writing, as a regular feature in their life. Then only, at once point of time such Literary work could be well recognized. Lest, there are chances of Literary Work getting drowned, due to not having good Writers in the coming generations. As one knew well, that "Old Water Go, New Water Come".Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? Yes definitely. Digital and Social Media Tools/Devices play an important role to create more Writers and thereby more Readers emerge. Social Medial play an important role in shaping good Literary Writers. Social Media gives good opportunity for Writers to present their Write-ups through few Blogs which facilitate Writers to present their Mind of Writing. Under cherry-treessoup, the salad, fish and all . . .Seasoned with petalsVariety of food is like mind and petals represents consciousness.Remember well that you don't have one mind; you have multi-minds.Mind is a flux: river like, flowing, changing. Consciousness is eternal, one. It is not different in the morning and different in the evening. It is not different when you are born and different when you die. It is one and the same, eternal. Mind is a flux. A child has a childish mind, an old man has an old mind; but a child or an old man have the same consciousness, which is neither childish nor old. It cannot be.Mind moves in time and consciousness lives in timelessness. They are not one. But we are identified with the mind. We go on saying, insisting, 'My mind. I think this way. This is my thought. This is my ideology.' Because of this identification with the mind, you miss that which you really are.Dissolve these links with the mind. Remember that your minds are not your own. They have been given to you by others: your parents, your society, your university. They have been given to you. Throw them away. Remain with the simple consciousness that you are ¯ pure consciousness, innocent. This is how one moves from the mind to meditation. This is how one moves away from society, from the without to the within. This is how one moves from the man-made world, the maya, to the universal truth, the existence.

The form of art which is closest to my heart. I stared writing poetry early 2017. The poets that inspired me and my poetry in Robert Frost and John Keats.Q: What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work?A: I feel the difficulty is managing time for writing. Creative writing needs time to develop. As Lisa See, an American writer and novelist says “Read a thousand books, and your words will flow like a river.”Q: What is your view about the present-day literary work?A: Present-day literary is innovative, personal and straight forward and beautiful in its own way. But personally, I love the charm of the classics like ‘DAFFODILS’ by WILLIAM WORDSWORTH or ‘THE ROAD NOT TAKEN’ by ROBERT FROST Q: Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers?A: Yes, I’m a blogger which helps in showcasing my work globally and get feedback and comments from the strangers across the globe are motivating me to keep writing. Proses I usually characterize by the use of full sentences and paragraphs that tend to proceed uninterrupted in a linear fashion until they are complete to give description to develop concrete, complete ideas, aiming to leave the reader with his own interpretation of it. Whereas poetry, on the other hand, I write in nonlinear fashion, using fragments of thoughts, feelings, and images to convey a certain message to the readers aiming to generate feelings which I hold while writing. Like smiling together with the reader or crying with the pain that the poetry holds.Q: What was your first literary work and how was it published? On the other hand, the lack of exposure to good literature is equal to depriving oneself from the opportunity to grow. Literature allows you to understand and experience systems of living and other worlds. We get a view of the inside looking out, a personal view and insight into the minds and reasoning of someone else. We can learn, understand, and appreciate it; and that how society can grow. Q: Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?A: In 5 years, I see myself to be a more matured writer with my few poetry books published. And to be growing in people’s heart.Q: What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets?A: Develop a place where poets can share there works and get feedbacks from fellow like minded poets. Free classifieds has converted me from miserable to satisfied. My father died 2 years back and left me with an old restaurant that my great grandfather started with my grandfather 60 years ago. The restaurant has stood the test of time and still has a very small but loyal customer base who had been eating there for generations, but it has remained pretty much the same since it was started, it gets an occasional paint and repair job once every decade and that's about it. I was a software engineer working with a corporate company, earning around 30 Grand a month, but I wasn't happy with the job, the job was pretty close to modern slavery, and the kind of work I did there wasn't satisfying for the soul.I wanted to take over my father's business, but I knew nothing about restaurants and to make matters worse the restaurant wasn't making enough dough for me to take care of my family's finances, as newer more efficient competitors had cropped up everywhere. I wanted to develop my business, all the banks I approached for a loan were sceptical to say the least as the property that I wanted to attest for the loan, was slowly crumbling into pieces. One fine day I was sitting at my restaurant and going through all the feasible options available, when I noticed a strange trend, more and more people were starting to get parcels there, instead of walking into a restaurant to eat which made me realize that food is my commodity not the restaurant, so I decided to market my food specially and use the whole restaurant space to start a full-fledged delivery based cloud kitchen. We ran a Kerala cuisine restaurant in Chennai, which was highly in demand, I next wanted to market my product and service in a low but highly effective cost that made me turn toward free classifieds on the internet – Used by millions of people all over India. There are so many portals where one could place free classified ads such as Quikr, Olx, Izydaisy.com to name a few in the World. Within a few months of me placing those free classifieds websites and using the social media to create awareness about my business, orders came rushing into my roof. I previously was just making 20 Grand running the restaurant business but then just in a few months it turned into 70 Grand, later a profitable amount of 100 Grand a month, I had to quit my job, which I wanted to do for a very long time, hire more chefs and delivery men. Our business got so much traction that people even started asking for our franchise. It was my humble opinion that we were not ready for a franchise yet, but we did manage to start another branch on the other end of the city which is also working great with the help of classifieds, and now I have incorporated YouTube marketing to the mix. We now have our own dedicated food channel that drives more consumers to try our products. I have also started learning to cook, I help out in the kitchen occasionally, for the first time there is nothing much to complain about in my life, free classifieds has converted me from miserable to satisfied.
Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.I graduated a semester early from Beckman Catholic High School and started taking college courses early on. Currently, I attend Northeast Iowa Community College. Given my hectic life, at the moment I am only enrolled in online courses. Ever-so-slowly, I’m working towards my Associate of Arts degree before I transfer to a four-year university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write? I have always had a fondness for literature—there’s just something immensely intriguing about finding a great book and escaping into the literary world it provides. I’m always adding new books to my kindle. As for writing, I discovered early on in my childhood that I had a talent and interest in poetry. More often than not, I used poetry writing as a therapeutic tool and it proved to be a helpful means of coping with the struggles of my daily life. It still is. What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? The difficulties that had the most impact in relation to my writing would probably be writer’s block and finding FREE ways to get my work put out there and/or published. What is your view about the present-day literary work? In regard to poetry specifically, the majority of my favorite writers are modern-day and from this generation. I find that I tend to gravitate towards writing styles similar to my own. I think that there has been a recent increase in writing that has a positive subject matter, which I find refreshing considering most of my own work tends to be on the negative side of life. Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? I definitely believe that social media and technology both have made a HUGE difference in the amount of opportunities available for writers. For me, personally, the digital world has skyrocketed my writing and certainly improved it.Please tell us something about your literary work. My work is almost solely poetry, and that’s what I’ve chosen to dedicate my time spent writing to. Every single piece has some sort of deeply personal connection to me or my life and, in numerous cases, my past. I haven’t had the most sunshine-y life, but in the last five years things have taken a turn for the better in the best ways. I think this positive turn for me is becoming visible in some of my writing. What was your first literary work and how was it published? My first real piece of writing that I put out there was a cheesy Love poem that I wrote around age twelve specifically for a contest hosted by what previously was Poetry.com. It’s called Definition of Love, and through the website at the time, it was published into an anthology entitled Collected Whispers. I was quite proud then, but reading it now, I almost want to blush at how obvious my youth was. How many ways literature can contribute to society in future?I think that, in the future—as well as now, even—literature and writing and poetry will (hopefully) open people’s eyes to what the world was/is like today and explore the endless possibilities of what the world COULD be.Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world? In five years, the hopes I have in regard to my writing all revolve around the simple goal of being recognized and successfully putting myself out there. It’s been a struggle finding ways to do that that won’t affect me financially. What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets?I think that many positive strides have been made to do exactly this, and many more are already in the process. I do wish that there was a singular poetry community online that provided ways for writers to share their poetry with others, receive feedback, build a collection of their poetry, AND enter FREE contests/calls for submissions. I feel like, the ways things are right now, poets have to bounce around from site to site or place to place to accomplish all of those things. What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers? The best advice I could ever give isn’t my own advice at all, but rather the words of Ernest Hemingway. Ernest Hemingway once said, “Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough.”How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror? To be completely honest, I have only ever been on StoryMirror to enter a contest. When I got the email requesting an author interview, I was so pleased because I feel like no other writing community appears to care about or get involved with its members/writers. Instantly, I wanted to be a more active part of StoryMirror, so I’d say my experience was wonderful. Here is the link to read my content https://storymirror.com/profile/drmr5sia/morgan-tomas-klostermann/poems

The award space, as expected, is not always available due to the large number of individuals who pay for tickets in cash. However, one thing that makes it easy to book for Hawaiian awards is its flexible schedule. Here are some of the best programs or booking Hawaiian award flights.Korean Air SkyPassIf you have the Chase Rewards Points, the Korean Airline program is the best means to book for Hawaiian award flights on Delta for you.Booking ProcessKorean Air makes use of area-based award sheet for Sky. Sky Team partner awards booking. The fact that this airline contemplates all of the U.S as one region makes the redemption rates reasonable on Delta. You can look for awards space on the airline’s website from where you can book from. To view the imperative city pairings, it is important for you to note that you have to select the “SkyTeam Award” just after selecting “Redeem Miles”. Also, you can check the Air France’s website and then call the airline agents to book if you find the space. In addition, the Korean Air partners with the Hawaiian Airlines as well as the Alaska Airline provide you with other greats alternatives in case you need to fly to Hawaii. Through the partnership, you have vast range of non-stop paths to various Hawaiian airports that allow the Korean Air miles and fly points bookings. These booking points include Los Angeles, Portland, San Diego, Seattle (SEA), and Atlanta among others. However, the mileage need for these parties is different from the Delta flights requirements.Currently, the Korean Air does not partner with the Chase Rewards, but allows you to earn Marriot points which you can transfer to Korean at affordable rates.Air FranceThe second SkyTeam alternative for booking awards flight to Hawaii that we propose for you is Air France program.Booking Award Flights with Air FranceJust like with Korean Air, Air France enables you to book award flights on Delta as well as their other partner, the Alaska Airlines. For instance, it is easier to look for award spaces on Delta by use of the airline’s online search. Further, Air France has the capability to book a one-way award ticket at a cost that is half the mileage cost. However, if you are planning to fly to Hawaii by booking an award ticket on Alaska Airlines, you have to go through a different process. It is not possible to find the award space by use of the online search by Air France, so you are required to call and request an agent to look or make use of America’s Airlines website to search. The Air France partners with both the Chase Ultimate Rewards and American Membership Reward to enable you to earn the Flying Blue miles and fly points.Singapore Airlines KrisFlyerThe Singapore Airlines program partners with the Star Alliance to offer you an option to book for Hawaiian award flights on the United Airlines. You have the option of using the United MileagePlus in booking for the awards. however, using the Singapore Airline to fly to Hawaii saves you many points.Booking Award Flights with Singapore Airlines KrisFlyerEarlier on, booking an award flight using Singapore Airlines’ partner required you to search for space on the website through Air Canada’s Aeroplan program to provide dates and number to a Singapore Airlines’ agent. You can use the airline when you book for Alaska's award flights.Booking Award FlightsThis airline makes use of distance-based reward sheet which means that the total count of Avios needed in booking an award flight is determined by your distance of flight. Nonstop flights are, therefore, ideal for you to increase your points. The British Airways offers you with 12 non-stop flying points for booking including Anchorage (ANC), San Diego (SAN) and Seattle (SEA) among others. You can earn British Airways Avios by transferring points from Chase Ultimate Rewards or from the American Express Rewards. Finding such a flight is hard, however. We offer you a list of the best Airlines that offer this business class. These include the Delta Air Lines Airbus A330 and Boeing 767, United Airlines Boeing 777, 767, and 757, American Airlines Airbus A330, Boeing 777 and 767 and Hawaiian and Airlines Airbus A330.ConclusionRegardless of the fly points you have, it is possible for you to book a Hawaiian award flight. 😊The Hormones Of Happiness : How To Increase Them😊...............................................All of your feelings and emotions are a result of chemical reactions taking place in your body. These reactions are responsible for making you feel negative emotions, like anger and sadness, as well as positive emotions, like love and happiness. Read on to find out what your happy hormones are and how you can increase them.😊Endorphins..........***Endorphins are your body's natural painkillers, since they block pain. Most people are aware of the fact that exercise releases endorphins, but they don't realise the reason for this. Way back in the stone ages, endorphins were important to our ancestors because they enabled them to keep running through the pain and escape predators. Today, we don't need to escape predators anymore, so we only produce endorphins when we perform anaerobic exercises, since endorphins help us to keep going even after we deplete our oxygen stores.Ways to increase your endorphin levels:***• Exercise to cope with chronic pain.• Eat spicy food, since your tongue has receptors that react to spice by sending messages to your brain that are similar to pain signals, causing your brain to trigger the release of endorphins.😊Serotonin***Serotonin is the key hormone of happiness, since it regulates mood, prevents depression, thwarts irritation and makes you happy and sociable.Ways to increase your serotonin levels:***• Spend time in the sun, since sunlight causes your body to produce Vitamin D, which triggers the release of serotonin.• Think happy thoughts, since your brain produces serotonin when you remember happy memories or think about things that make you happy.• Consume foods like milk and corn, since they contain tryptophan, a substance that your body converts to serotonin. Other carbohydrates also contain tryptophan.• Do a low-intensity workout, since your body produces serotonin when it is performing aerobic exercise, as opposed to the endorphins it produces during anaerobic exercise.😊Dopamine..........***Dopamine is a pleasure hormone that is released when you strive towards a goal. Dopamine motivates you to work hard so that you can achieve the satisfaction of reaching that goal. It also keeps you mentally alert and helps you focus.Ways to increase your dopamine levels:***• Set daily or monthly goals, since they give you something to strive towards.• Set exercise goals, since dopamine increases in tandem with serotonin and endorphins when you exercise. Setting goals will increase the production of dopamine even more.• Eat foods that are rich in protein.😊Oxytocin......****Oxytocin is the love hormone, and is released in large amounts during sexual intercourse and childbirth, but also during other types of affectionate physical contact, like hugging. Oxytocin also increases feelings of love and trust.Ways to increase your oxytocin levels: 😊• Get a massage, since it relaxes your muscles and the prolonged physical contact triggers the release of oxytocin.• Show your friends and family that you love them by touching them affectionately. You can hug your parents, throw an arm around a friend or cuddle up with your partner.😊What are the limitations of these hormones?*****Hormones are effective, but they do have their limitations. The effects of endorphins are only temporary. If you have had a fight with someone for example, exercising will make you feel better for a while, but until you sort out the fight your unhappiness will keep returning. Oxytocin is a great way to build a relationship, but common sense dictates that you can't love and trust everyone you meet or you will be the victim of several scams. Too much dopamine is unhealthy, since it can cause addictions.source: internetRajabala
Why you lose your sense of smell and taste when you’ve got a cold.................What sucks with both colds and flu (aside from feeling ghastly) is that you can’t even enjoy the flavour of that yummy chicken soup you thought would make you feel better. Of course, it’s because you’ve lost your sense of taste along with your sense of humour. But ever wondered why you can’t taste properly with a cold or stuffy nose?First question that needs answering is why a cold causes a stuffy nose in the first place. White blood cells in your body produce chemicals to kill virus-infected cells. This causes increased mucous secretions as well as nasal swelling and inflammation.’More importantly though, is to understand that the flavour of food involves both smell and taste. In fact, 80% of our taste is related to smell, so it’s not surprising that most of the flavour of a food comes from your ability to smell it. Tongue is your taste organ, as it can sense salty, sweet, sour, bitter and umami (savoury). Our sense of smell (known as olfaction) provides the rest of a food’s flavour, which is why it’s difficult to appreciate food flavour when you have nasal obstruction from a cold, stuffy nose or rhinosinusitus. A small area called the olfactory cleft high up in the roof of your nose senses smell. Here, special cells sense different odours found in the air that we breathe and then send signals to the brain via the olfactory nerve. Anything that interrupts taste sensations being transmitted to the brain will cause taste problems. When you have a cold, the swelling causes inflammation and obstruction, which impairs your smell. The flavour of food is produced only after taste is combined with a smell, so if a stuffy nose impairs your sense of smell, it will also decrease your perception of taste. When your nose is stuffy, taste receptors in your taste buds have to do the job of assessing food flavour in different taste molecules all on their own. Truth is, even though you have around 2000 and 5000 taste buds on your tongue, in your mouth and throat (with each containing 50 to 100 taste receptor cells) they still don’t come close to what your nose knows! The two smell (olfactory) receptors found high up in your nasal passages have up to six million cells and can sniff out differences of at least one trillion odours. We know that losing your sense of taste when you have a cold can make you feel miserable, but don’t worry, it usually doesn’t last long. your normal taste should return when the infection passes.😊Source: internetRajabala
Chhaupadi (Nepali: छाउपडी )It is a social tradition associated with the menstrual taboo in the western part of Nepal. The tradition prohibits Hindu women from participating in normal family activities while menstruating, as they are considered "impure". The women are kept out of the house and have to live in a cattle shed or in a hut. This period of time lasts between ten and eleven days when an adolescent girl has her first period; thereafter, the duration is between four and seven days each month. As per the social custom, women who are unmarried have to stay six days in the hut, married women having both a son and a daughter have to stay five days, and women who have only daughters will have to live for seven days in the hut. During this time, women are forbidden to touch men or even to enter the courtyard of their own homes. They are barred from consuming milk, yogurt, butter, meat, and other nutritious foods, for fear they will forever pollute those goods. The women must survive on a diet of dry foods, salt, and rice. They cannot use warm blankets and are allowed only a small rug; most commonly, this is made of jute (also known as burlap). They are also restricted from going to school or performing daily functions like taking a bath. They are not even allowed to bathe from the tap, in wells or rivers during that period of time. In some villages, there are separate taps and wells for the women. They are completely barred from going near the temple; if a road is even linked to a temple, a menstruating woman has to choose a different path. This system comes from the superstition of impurity during the menstruation period. In this superstitious logic, if a menstruating woman touches a tree, it will never again bear fruit; if she consumes milk, the cow will not give any more milk; if she reads a book, Saraswati, the goddess of education, will become angry; if she touches a man, he will be sick. There is a strong belief among locals that if women are allowed to stay inside the home during their menstrual period it would bring misfortunes for members of family and the family members will fall sick. Male members of the family believe the custom must be followed to avoid any bad luck. Senior members of families and village elders are firm in this tradition, while the young, educated generation cannot gather the courage to challenge this custom.Reports indicate that more than 90 percent of women in Nepal’s far-western and mid-western districts follow the Chhaupadi tradition, whether due to social pressure or according to their own wishes. As they are compelled to sleep in poorly constructed and dirty huts, these women face health problems and other risks. Woman who live in the huts are always at risk of diarrhea, pneumonia, and respiratory diseases. While living in the isolated huts, they also face the danger of attack by wild animals, snake bite or even abuse and rape by their fellow villagers. Women have died while performing the practice, including two young women in late 2016 who died from smoke inhalation and "carbon monoxide poisoning" from lighting fires to heat the shelters during cold weather.Following pressure from rights activists, last year Nepal’s parliament enacted a law labeling Chhaupadi a criminal act. As per the new law, people who force their family members to live in sheds are subject to legal actions. Nepal’s Supreme Court had directed the government to make laws criminalizing Chhaupadi all the way back in 2005; it took more than a decade to formulate the laws. Now that the laws are in place, the challenge is in effective implementation. It is not easy to implement laws to prevent long- standing customs like Chhaupadi. In comparison to the past, there have been some changes in urban areas but such practices are still rampant in rural areas. In this region, it is very difficult to change the mindset of even educated people. Local politicians and political parties can play a vital role in creating awareness at the local level about the harms of this custom. However, politicians are often reluctant to highlight this issue because they fear of losing the support of common people. Parliamentarians rarely raise such issues in the national parliament; instead they want to conceal such social issues. Some non-governmental organizations at the local level and some government agencies are creating awareness, asking people to shun Chhaupadi, but due to the lack of support and backing from politicians, their campaigns have not been effective.Source: Kamal Dev Bhattarai (Kathmandu-based writer and journalist)Rajabala
