Past of the present has its foundation on the present of past and what is not present becomes past in the coming days, a page in history. If ancient history, medieval history and pre and post independence history of India are taken as base, many stories pass through the screen of memory and many characters in the stories come to front. That history contains from truth and on the base of the truth, rests some legend. The so called legends are developed into full fledged literature embracing major and minor characters. That is the special trait of Mr. Surendra Mohanty.Literature has different divisions consisting of Autobiography, Biography, Short stories, Essays and Novels. To look at these divisions of Oriya literature, would reveal the literary maturity and artful handling of them by this versatile writer. Rather it can be told that there is no easier and developed medium to recollect history on path of readers other than the writings of Sri Mohanty. Surendra literature has an identity of its own on its mythological and historical background.SHORT STORY SECTIONThe short stories days back to the emancipation of the Jews under the leadership of Mojes, from the shackles of Egyptian empire, to the rise of Orissan Empire, its history laden with rise and fall, fortune and bad days with rich historical knowledge. The short story collection ‘Kabi O Nartaki’ is based on mythological and historical characters.BIOGRAPHYStarting of British occupation of Orissa in 1803, and decline of Orissa nationalism till 1903, the declaration of regeneration and rebirth of it from the platforms of Utkal Sammilani the history of Orissa over a century is epitome in the Biography of Utkal Gourav Madhu Babu ‘Shatabdira Surya’ is unique.Surendra Mohanty’s autobiography ‘Patha o Pruthibi’ discloses the declining trend of values and morals of the post political landscape of India as well as Orissa.NOVELSHis milestone creations ‘Neela Saila’, ‘Neeladri Bijaya’, ‘Krishnabenire Sandhya’ on the background of 16th century history of Orissa Gajapati kingdom give inklings of Orissa history, its achievement and subsequent disintegration which revolves round the great lord Jagannath. On the other hand, his novels ‘Andha Diganta’, ‘Neti Neti’ on the back drop of British rule, pre and post independent Orissa highlights the ups and downs in political and social life.Be it a case of flood or famine, where individuals are treated like pawns on the political chess board, his writings represents the soul of oppressed, mute individuals, their silent protest on established moorings of society and indifferent bureaucracy. His literature had the echoes of unfulfilled dreams, aspirations, frustrations of the common man as its background and foundation. This will offer an interesting subject to be looked into and to be researched.

“Hello dad, my internship location is a different city, 2000 kilometres away! My friends are planning to book train tickets and it will take nearly 36 hours to reach.” I was blabbering on the phone standing in the corridor outside my classroom. I was expecting my dad to say, “Never mind. Both of us will book our flight tickets, I will take you there, meet your office people, book you a hostel for two months, talk to the hostel warden, check food facilities and everything else and ensure that you are in the best of your comfort zone.” Instead, he said, “Yes, go ahead. You also book your ticket along with your friends.” I was frozen for a minute. “But dad, it is a 36 hour long journey!” I said. “Yes, that’s okay. If your friends don’t want to go by air, you go with them by train. It will be fun.” He tried to comfort me. I stood there for another few minutes wondering how I would manage all of it on my own. I had never stepped out of home without my parents’ guidance and that was my cocoon I refused to step out of.Now, I was being given only 18 days to prepare myself for this 2 month long journey far away from home. My batch mate booked train tickets for 5 of us who were going and I was glad that at least I escaped one task. I was extremely nervous. 18 days passed with the blink of an eye. The away-from-home mission started with the train journey, the second of my life so far. But like my friends and my parents had said, the journey was fun. 5 of us immediately bonded and endured our 36 hours playing dumb charades and other games. We reached early morning and stepping foot on a different land comprising of different people, speaking a different language and most importantly, me being away from my parents was like being on an expedition for me.But now, when I recollect those days, I feel those were among the best days of my life and I cherish each memory I have of that place. Roaming on the streets with luggage and hunting for a hostel, negotiating with the hostel warden for the fee and settling my things in the wardrobe were the first few things I did on my own. At home, I was a spoilt child and had never entered the kitchen except for taking food or keeping my utensils in the sink. In the hostel, besides taking food from the kitchen, I washed my utensils, packed mine and my friend’s lunch and even warmed milk on the stove in the middle of a night for a friend who had hurt her foot and couldn’t walk. I even learnt to wash clothes, iron them, withdraw money from a bank, go grocery shopping, interact with people not knowing my language and so many other things I couldn’t have done staying in my own city at my own home.At the internship, my boss assured me that it was a safe city and I could travel around for events and work. I managed to do 18 events in the two months, a number the company was yearning to reach in the two years they had been operating for. Everybody appreciated my work at office.I learnt to not only take care of my own self but of my friends too. They had started teasing me by calling me mommy, the one who was always worried if everybody was eating well, was in their respective rooms before the deadline at night, was reaching office on time, etc. I also became the accounts in charge for the 5 of us, who owed whom how much and why, I kept a record of all of it.Being a strong and chirpy girl most of the time, at some other times I broke down too, on the day of my childhood friend’s wedding when I could not be her bridesmaid, when my grandmother suffered a minor heart attack and I couldn’t be there beside her bed and sometimes, just like that, not knowing why.But overall, I am glad that I went there stepping out of my cocoon. I learnt a lot of household chores, a lot from my internship, made a lot of new friends and most importantly, learnt a lot about my own self!

Karma: Myth and Philosophical TheoryFew days ago, I read an article on Karma. I have enjoyed that Article. It is very rare when you get chance to read an article which force you to bend your mind for thinking beyond the boundaries of your bubble of thoughts. I would like to request with reader that if they want they can visit my friend website. He writes about various topics and ideas which are energetic and great. His Article raised many question about the concept of karma. I replied him in his comment box but that was short and unorganized reply. So, I thought that it should be create as blog where I would be able to explain my point more efficiently. There is five major question raised in that article. These questions are related to law of karma, implication and evidence of existence. The first question is about if there is some kind of karma (good and bad), than who will decide that what is good karma? According to whom it will indicate that Karma is good or bad? Before exploring this answer, we must understand that in western dictionary, karma is considered as Consequence of our action. But in Indian philosophy, the definition of karma is slightly different. Karma is not confined to mere consequence of an individual action or action of a society. The word "Karma" is defined as consequence of an individual action within fold of adharma and dharma. Here, Dharma is the natural properties define by Nature to an object and adharma is resistive nature towards someone natural properties. For example, Water has properties to cool material object and Fire can burn objects. These properties of fire and water have predetermine consequence by nature. This is how nature has been constructed and natural consequence is mechanically knot with infinite causality with others. So, human natural properties has been define into three nature- Good (Sattav), Bad (Tamas) and Gray (Rajas). No human can be extreme good or bad.In various ratios, our natural properties have been construct which is direct or indirect result of our location and the era we born. So, Karma is consequence of our action which is result of what we do against or in favour of our swadharma (A term defined for individual dharma because people have various properties). It is not plain consequence of our action.[caption id="attachment_8979" align="aligncenter" width="321"] Endless Knot of karma[/caption]Now, Question arise what is good karma and what is bad karma? As a man himself sows, so he himself reaps; no man inherits the good or evil act of another man. The fruit is of the same quality as the action.— Mahabharata, xii.291.2This verse of mahabharata explain an outline of Good and bad karma. Human life is mirror of his own action. Definition of Good karma is comes from your own perception about world. If a person want to be wealthy, he must do action which not hurt someone else financially. If a person want to be love by everyone, he must be kind to others. There is no God words and holy direction to achieve good karma. There is only one dharmic rule."Do the same action which you expect from others."So,good and bad karma according to whom? This can be answer with this dharmic rule that "according to you". According to our understanding of good and bad karma.Irrespective of this dharmic rule for karma, Human is social animal. In this world we are so strongly interlinked that sometime it is hard for us to even understand that what went wrong within our society. In that situation, Hindu philosophy introduces the concept of Guru or swami. a person who studied the society and spread word against any action or karma which is not in line with current need of society. They are like ancient social reformer. Because eastern religion, especially Hinduism has decentralised religious structure, so it is very hard to challenge any change proposed by Guru and swami. But the negative side of this decentralise religious structure is that it take long time for social reform. The second question raised by article is that the idea of karma concerns free will. The dividing line between what is free action and what is not free action is unclear. Accusation has that Indian school of thought says there is moral consequence to freely undertaken actions. This idea is really thought provoking that weather karma conflict with free will of human. But the bigger question is that do we have really a free will? Let's understand with an example.I was habitual drinker of Coca cola in my young age. Whenever I got chance to drink a cold drink, I always ordered to shopkeeper for coca cola. That was spontaneous to me because my brain was habitual for that. This thing happens with many people for various habits. Some people prefer orange juice over other fruit juice. Some people always prefer apple over other fruits. So, our action or we can say, our choice is construction and pattern of our habits, our patterns. Our will (which is spontaneous) has been drive through such repeated information in our sub conscious mind. Do we have free will? or it's just mechanical outcome of our sub consciousness[/caption] Sure!! We are conscious human being and when it comes to choose different action from our habits we chose with a will we think are free. But the question is that really an action depends on our free will.I think partially its depend on our free will but mostly it is depend on how we look that action or will. Our conscious brain always calculates the risk and tracks all information about that action before executing. Any bitter experience and memory can put that action on hold. But at final stage, it is required other natural properties like ratio of taking risk, our passion for that action (if it attach to a passion) or our current physical and financial condition. We simply do not wish and start implementing. It is complex.Well, now there is concern that some ideas are result of outside moral force which has power of judgement and of inflicting repercussions. As we understand that free will is almost result of our understanding about world and the natural properties which we inherit. So, any action which we do within social framework has social implication. Every society has primitive understanding of world. This infinite net of primitive understanding of world and our collective experience from past is reflect in our current culture, social norms, social ideologies and rituals. Primitive understanding of natural phenomenon has created social ideas.it has no direct relationship to do with original philosophy. These social ideas are rigid and the power of judgement to any different idea comes from these social rigid ideologies and experience. The moral implication has no direct link with original philosophy but social peer pressure which follows the law of social majoritarianism.Yes, there is moral consequence of free will. But this consequence is not result of conflict with karmic theory but these moral consequences are result of contradiction with social framework which based on rigid idea. This rigid idea is result of collective social experience and understanding. These ideas have been promote and protect by religious institute in western religion while in Hinduism there is no protection for such rigid ideas. But as stated, due to decentralize system of religious knowledge such idea still exist in various shape and form in Indian society. I do not think that there is any contradiction and parallel fight with karma and free will here. I often observed that western scholars approach to Indian philosophy with western social theories and analytical tools. For understanding of Indian core belief and philosophy. They should understand that Indian society, Indian point of view and Indian philosophy cannot be analyse with the social theories which is developed for western societies. There was another concern that whether in Indian philosophy there any clear distinction between free will and what is not free?I have to agree with this question that there is no clear distinction because we have failed to defined free will. Whether or not humans have free will is a question that philosophers have debated for centuries, and they will likely continue to do so. Psychology can provide some insights into how free will—or at least a belief in its existence—might work, but beyond that, we likely cannot verify or invalidate its existence. There is third problem was with theory of karma which said "if you do good karma, the consequence will be good. A bad karma result bad consequence".I think this the toughest question to answer. writer says in that article"It is hard to see how some kind of natural karmic law could understand good and bad which are subjective to moral ideas that depend on the perspective of a personal agent, whether that person be a human being or God."First mistake which I found that this is utterly misunderstood concept that the karmic laws is idea based on a perspective of a person or God. The theory of karma is result of long time observation by many sages and their early understanding about people various condition. Second thing which is being conveyed by Indian philosophy that Nature itself an automatic mechanism, Humans are just part of this large mechanism. Universe is materialistic result of this natural mechanism.[caption id="attachment_media-66" align="alignnone" width="3840"] Dalai Lama on Theory of kamra[/caption]Human lives within universe, so any small human action result effect on nature. The question is that whether law of karma has any empirical evidence or not? I am doubtful that these evidence is like mystical experience. I have few experiencing evidence and many millions people have few but it is not as applicable for all others who haven't experience it. All natural laws like karma (Dharmic action), Dharma (Righteous way of life) , Gyana (self-Enlightenment) & Maya (Materialistic illusion) is very personal in nature. In physical world, a scientist spend his all life and invent something which can be used by every other being which is not involve into the studies of that invention. While In Laws of nature, Only a person can experience the natural power, self-enlightenment , materialistic illusion when he do his part of tapas (natural enlightenment). The question rises how we can achieve that enlightenment. Many suggest Yoga, wondering within nature, social works, spending time with Gurus and Swami. But I find it partial practices. The real enlightenment can be attend by Four methods explain in Bhagwat Gita.Karma yoga (a life with righteous action)Gyan yoga (A life which spend to studies nature and natural activities)Bhakti yoga (a life which involve deep devotion for anyone, your life partner, kids, any kind of God, communities)Raja Yoga (A life which is indulged into your profession which you do)Hinduism makes sure that everyone attends Moksha at last. We can have very different blog about this topic.Well, Karma is myth or not is very different question. I think, I am unable to answer that question in this blog. But I would like to have a short note over this. Writer wrote that"If God decides for that to happen on any particular occasion. There are no absolute laws of cause and effect outside the will of god".I would disagree with this statement for two reasons.First reason is that in all Hinduism scripture it stated that god and avatar (incarnation of god on earth) can have consequence (bad) of their moral actions (which was suitable for that different era). Let's take example from the Indian epics of India "Ramayana" and "Mahabharata"In Ramayana, Ram had friendship with sugreev ( a exiled monkey king). His brother bali (another powerful monkey king) had stolen the kingdom and sugreev wife from him. So he decided to take help of Lord Rama. But Bali had a boon that anyone who comes in front of him loose his half power to him. So Rama decided to kill him by hidden passage of trees. But when Lord ram, reincarnated as lord Krishana than Bali killed Krishana. Bali had taken rebirth as archer on era of Mahabharat. Lord Ram had been to face consequence of his action in another birth.Second reason thatO son of Prtha, there is no Karma prescribed for me within all the three planetary systems. Nor am I in want of anything, nor have I need to obtain anything—and yet I am engaged in karma. Chapter 3, Verse 22 .Here Lord Krishana describes how he is also bounded with laws of karma. These two example clearly describe that even god is bounded to these laws of nature. Natural laws are most powerful and govern universe.#smblogcontest

StoryMirror interviewed Aislin Fall, a 25 years old maker of things. Writer. Photographer. Poet. Compulsive traveller. Joy Seeker. Knowledge sponge. PNW born and bred. Here is what she has to say.Q. Tell us about you and your background.I guess I was born and then a lot of things happened and I ended up where I am now.I'm from British Columbia, Canada. I was 16 when I started taking photographs using my dad's camera. I was really obsessed with fashion photography for a long time and was always making my friends crawl into bushes and peer from behind blooming branches and once, I made my best friend carry a small wooden giraffe around her neighbourhood. Eventually, I started photographing models in the suburbs and beautiful landscapes wearing lots of different clothes. Eventually, I stopped photographing models anywhere. These past few years, I've become more drawn to taking pictures that document life as I see it, which usually fits in the category of travel and portrait photography with a tinge of adventure and lifestyle. I still shoot fashion sometimes but it's not my main focus.Photoshop came before photography for me and by the time I picked up my first camera, I was already dabbling in graphic design and photomanipulation. I fell in love with retouching as I transitioned into fashion photography and I worked as a retoucher for a few years. I don't retouch professionally any longer. I like being outside more than I like being on a computer these days.Travel has been the dominant force in my life for the past four years, although I did travel a lot with my family while growing up. I am usually in a state of going somewhere. I haven't had a "home" for more than a few months in a long time.Q. What is your life's greatest passion? What inspires you? I think life itself is my greatest passion—life and all the things it encompasses. The swell and swoon and pull and press of existence. The miracle of existing at all. The hope is to be as fully present and here in this moment. It's strange how something so simple can be so hard sometimes! How easy to get lost in your head—to stop listening to footfall of passing strangers, trills of birds, pulse of water. So my greatest passion is life and from there, everything else flows. I have been a maker ever since I was little—drawing, writing, forming stories—and the process of creating is a huge passion of mine. Nowadays, it takes the shape of photography and poetry. I grew up travelling the west coast of North America with my family and in my 20s, I've spent a lot of time on the road in Canada, USA, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Travelling is definitely one of the other great loves of my life. But they are all so wound together. Photography, writing, travelling—they're all giant pieces of this life of mine. They're how I think and feel and experience. Life gives me inspiration and then I take that and make these things with it.Life inspires me, the world inspires me, relationships inspire me, art inspires me, emotions inspire me, light inspires me. Since I'm mostly photographing my life as I experience it, I just look for moments.Q. Take us through your work. I shoot people and places. I catch real moments and pull them through my perspective until they feel like me. I get my fingerprints on everything. I'm not one of those photographers who doesn't like to modify things (though if you are, that's fine). I see things as malleable. I love Photoshop. My work is me; my work is my life. It's the fleeting instant that I got my fingers around. It's a record of where I've been and what I've felt. The roads I've walked down, the people I've loved, the sunrises I've seen, the glimmers of light that took my breath away. It's travel or landscape or documentary or lifestyle or portrait or whatever.WhistlerUSATessTasmaniaTasmaniaSydneyScotlandPortoMaiteIrelandIrelandIrelandhowthhollandCanadaBeeAusAthensAthensQ. Can you share with us a 'behind-the-scene' memory of yours that has stood out the most? Back in October, at the beginning of this last backpacking trip in Europe, I went to the Acropolis in Athens for sunrise. I watched the twinkle of dawn wash over the ancient streets of the city and observed the quiet blue of night transform into brilliant, shining light. It was one of those times when you look around at your life and feel all the decisions that brought there to that specific, remarkable, precious point. A blink of overwhelming gratitude.During the day, Acropolis is a swarming beehive of human beings. There are so many people. But when the gates first open in the morning—right before the sun rises, it's nearly empty. There were only two or three other people there when I watched the dawn awaken the city. It was so private and personal, witnessing the sun crest over the mountains, pull the shadows long and far over the ruins.Q. Is there an achievement or contribution that you are most proud of?I have been to 25 countries in 25 years, and while that's not a "career" oriented "achievement," it's a personal achievement. I'm immensely proud of this life that I've carved for myself. I have seen so much and it's truly shaped me.Q. What is your life's philosophy?Love and interconnectivity. Be kind and compassionate towards everything—other humans, animals, the planet, yourself. We are all so tied together. Our actions matter.Q. If you could give a message to all the 20 year olds of the world, what would it be?Be patient. Remember that you are not your emotions. Gratitude is the key. Emotions are passing clouds in the sky—they are things that you experience but they are not your identity so don't be consumed by them or think that they're your truth. Patience because all things take time and it's really hard to really know who you are or what you want at 20. It's important to give yourself room to grow and discover and make mistakes. I view the 20s as being a massive opportunity for learning. Training your mind to practice gratitude has the potential to change everything.Q. How do you want to see yourself 5 years from now?Happy and fulfilled, though that's the aim for every single day and not the destination. I'd like to be sustaining an income from my photography and writing, and still engaged in creative projects that excite me. I hope to have more of a "home" in five years but still travelling a lot with at least another ten new countries checked off my list!Check out her website, blog and instagram.
No one can deny that a woman has to live with the same senseof freedom and happiness as we do, because social harmony and peace isinterrelated with each and every one’s happiness in life. I know that most ofyou have respect for woman, but the present situation in India demands moreopen discussions and a little more energy from your side. There are manycomplexities that we need to resolve, behind this cruel action called “RAPE”.Without resolving them, if we make stringent laws, we are acting only on theperipheral of the issue. However, the centre from which this action springs upstill remains the same. Laws are necessary, but they are not enough. In aphysical relationship, the man and woman both should have a mutual agreement.Any action without that agreement proves that one is no more a MAN. We need toinclude this small fact in our education system.A physical relationship is a sacred thingthrough which creation happens, looking at it in a vulgar sense is a sin.Having an affair seems to be a heroic action, but sex is just a part of life, not all of it. We must learn how to get energy out of it, and soon die to thatpleasure, instead of feeding it to our memory. If we don’t die to that memory,it is used by thought and turns your life into a mess. Few of the issues behindthis cruelty seem to be1) Female foeticide – Because of this, theratio of the girlsto boys is reducing, and more men are left with wild unfulfilled desires, turning them into wild animals.2) No sex education –When we don’t teach a child about sex as apart of nature and how to involve in it in a dignified manner, vulgaritycreeps intothe mind. Forget about the child, can you and I talk about sex in a dignifiedmanner, without anyvulgar thoughts or jokescreeping into our conversation?3) Entertainment – Inthe entertainment industry, women are mostly objectified. Within the industrywomen may get paid more and mayget good respect. But because of the way they portray women inpublic, thecommon man is looking at women as sex objects or glamour dolls. Indecent jokes about sexual organs have become a trend becauseof our movies today. 4) Not understanding thefact that thereis no problem with desire, but the problem is with either suppression or the craving for it.“I call himempty who has no love, and forhim sex becomes a problem, anissue, a thing to be avoided or to be indulged.”- Jiddu Krishnamurti
Music, like the other fine arts, is what feeds the soul and touches the body, moving it. Anyone who has grown up with a musically talented parent knows the tremendous part that music plays in one's memory. And, anyone who has "been acquainted with the night" as Robert Frost put it, knows and can relate to the Blues. Music can fit our moods, as well.sometimes we are in harmony with what music says and it talks to us, and pulls at our hearts in most unusual ways, nurturing, comforting, commiserating, exhilirating, soothing, strengthening us against the dark. What would life be like without it? Terribly cold and silent, indeed.

StoryMirror interviewed Mr. Venkatesh from Artma Ventures and here is what he had to say about his venture:Q. Tell us about you and your background.I come from a tiny town in West Bengal called Kharagpur. Mine is a typical working middle-class family. I was good at Math and the obvious career choice for me was Engineer or so I thought. I worked for 3 years in a chemical company as an electrical engineer and absolutely detested it. In order to change fields, I chose MBA as an option. I went to IIM Kozhikode to study Marketing and Strategy which, I feel, have been 2 of the most enriching years of my life. Q. What is your greatest passion?I have always been passionate about creating things. If I have spare time, I’m either creating some form of art or learning a new technique to better my craft. It is fascinating to me that one can conjure up things and put them out in the world for others to enjoy, critique and ponder over. I’ve tried a lot of things from clay animation to video editing. My first love, however, is painting. I trained under Rabindra Bharathi University in West Bengal for almost a decade in fine arts. I have always dreamt of being an artist and that dream is slowly becoming a reality. I wish to bring smiles and happiness to people through my work and knowing that someone appreciates my work so much that they want to make it part of their life is a kind of fulfillment that I don’t get from anything else. I will continue to create and, in the process, try to bring joy to people around me. I have big plans but let’s keep it for some other time , for now, I just want to paint. Q. We understand you do digital art. How and why did you start painting digitally? Is it easier compared to drawing on the physical medium? In 2010 while I was pursuing engineering, I accidentally discovered the world of digital art. Sitting in my hostel dorm I watched countless videos on Youtube and was awestruck at the kind of work artists across the world were producing in the digital art space. I started drawing with a mouse which, of course, is ridiculously difficult and then researched to find the right tools. Being a college student, I couldn’t afford the equipment back then. A few months later I attended a cultural college fest and as expected there were painting competitions. I won three of them and knew exactly what to do with the cash prize that I earned. I got my first pen tablet immediately after and it is one of the best investments that I’ve made in my life. I used to paint quite often while I was in engineering and for a few months after that. Post that there was never enough time, I tried to keep up but with a regular job, it was hard to maintain consistency. So, I took the plunge and I must say I’m absolutely loving the process. Many people have a notion that digital art is a scam and that it is not as credible as painting on canvas. I have immense respect for anyone who works with the traditional medium as I started my training with that. While the fundamentals of art remain the same, the approach to mastering both is vastly different. In fact, the digital medium provides one a myriad of options and the freedom to experiment. The “undo” option is undoubtedly a lifesaver. However, that should not take away the effort that one puts into perfecting a piece. After all, everyone deserves a chance to correct their mistakes. Also, if it was that easy everyone would be doing it. I feel art is so much more than just replicating an image. It is about pulling the observer into the piece and moving them with the composition. Through their work, it is about showing the world what the artists themselves see. Q. How do you see this space evolving in the future? There is still very little awareness of the digital painting field in India. It is common for me to encounter questions like, “Do you use an app to convert the images?” People fail to realize that it is painting where each stroke is made in hand. However, it is changing and with the increasing reach of marketing media such as Youtube, it is easier for creators to showcase their process and create awareness about the field. New business models are evolving with the increasing adoption of digital media. I personally feel we are living in the most exciting time for content creators to make something of their creative capabilities. Digital art fits into a large range of fields from animation, merchandising, comic industry, movies, games, graphic design and the list goes on. The sky is the limit for someone who wants to pursue a career in digital art.Q. Could you tell us a little bit about the services that you offer? What is the process like?Sure. We make stylised digital portraits. It starts with selecting the right image for the artwork. We ask our patrons to share as many images as they can of the people they wish to capture in a painting. Once the image is finalised we ask them what their expectations are. The discussion could range from the color palette, the overall tone, the elements that they want to add to the piece. We try to make the paintings personal and have some meaning to the people they showcase. For instance, if it’s a baby’s painting and the baby loves dogs, we include them in the composition. If a couple loves to travel to beaches or has a favorite memory of a place, then we bring that out in the painting. This way the painting becomes far more than just a replica of the image and ends up being much larger than life.Actually, we are running a giveaway on our handle at the moment and it would be great if your users can participate in it. We are giving away one free portrait to the winner of the contest. I will share the link with you.https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo81JjQHXYz/ Q. What is your life's philosophy?“One must choose the problems that they want to solve”. Life at the end of the day is about solving problems from the time we wake up to go to bed. Even the job that one takes is solving the problem of earning a livelihood, living a luxurious life or creating a name for themselves. What if one enjoys solving a certain kind of problem, life then becomes a fun and happy ride. I’ve only come to terms with this in the past few months and that has been an eye-opener. For me, it is simply to keep getting better at creating content that touches people’s lives. Everything I do now revolve around that!Q. If you could give a message to all the 20-year olds of the world, what would it be?There is a very famous quote by Alan Watts, “What would you do if money were no object?” If I could go back to when I was 20 I would tell myself to just focus on my craft. To enjoy the ride while getting better at it every single day. I have spent years doing things which I didn’t love doing and I get petrified at the thought of wasting away another 30 or so years doing the same. To the 20-year-olds, I would just say do what makes you happy as cliché as it may sound. Find your calling and go after it. You will be fine. Please join Artma Ventures on their journey. The Illusion of being ImmortalMany people wish to be gifted with immortality and imagine how our life would be living that way, a way to live forever beyond time, beyond our chances to experience again and again, to be with our senses and memory that we value most.but we forget we are meant to be dead.Yes,death is not a curse but is a gift, it is the reason for which we search for enjoyment and peace as we know we have very limited time on earth. It is the truth that breaks the illusion of eternal being, which would be very boring and monotonous.the First thing is what is the reason to be born? I think to feel the living soul, to find the purpose of life and Death provides the certainty of it.We live in our own illusion, the mind is a universe and we make a world in it, give it life but never thought of death, and there comes the eternal presence of Death, that makes a life complete as a renowned poet Allen Ginsberg says "Find share and Lose Lest we die unbloomed".In Life there should be something for which you can never be satisfied and may be thats the reason we are made that way,we never become satisfied whatever we get,We always strive for more and more.May be today Lifespan seems too less, as there are many things to do. I appreciate people's view, the world has become too hard to live, people are tired of fighting, and at some point when people lose ability to fight as the same they loose the ability to enjoy physically the way they did in their youth, even you stay youthful forever your mind will be old because it has seen so much of this world, corruption ,injustice, violence and all negative things. But we can't fix the world now, it is in its own way to be destroyed. But whatever the reason is, immortality is much to ask from Life.it will lead you nowhere, you will feel you are stuck in a time loop, neither you die nor live.Because living is not about how long you live, it's about how much you live in the subjective reality, the time you live with mindfulness, perceiving the beauty of your surroundings, every sound you here, every small things you see, everything you feel, because it's our vision what gives us the highest sense of perception either through ingenuity or with curious childlike ignorant mind .may be the death is the end of our physical body but the idea of Death gives us life.there are many Great things done in the name of love, for which we feel more alive Even the perception of death doesn't matter. So death is a perspective concept So as the immortality. And Even sometime Death becomes the only solution of Unknown Mysteries because the true nature of Life is Mystery and that is the reason you can't predict it.Death is also part of fantasy cause it's not possible to feel death when you are full of life. Its more connected to pleasure as people feel seeing cruelty, torture, death.Everything should have a limit.see future is uncertain so it is possible to feel immortality at a point of certain time, then feel what will be the future life?I feel that when I will get utmost peace and love from life I will ask for death because I will always fear the uncertain future and to make the present Happyness for eternity I need to die with it,Death gives us a fixed identify after life otherwise life would be ever changing and at some point we will fear Change.

Must springtime fade?then cry all birds . . .and fishesCold pale eyes pour tearsWhen we feel separation from the existence, the pain of separation save us from all the afflictions. The sadness of separating from you (Existence), Has saved me from all other afflictions. None dares to approach me now.In time, only one memory will remain - that of the divine. Only the fire of separation from the divine remains. The thousand afflictions you have known disappear, leaving just this one. All afflictions - of wealth, of position, of prestige, of this and that - they all leave you and only one problem remains. And there is no way you can escape from this one problem. Now you wait for the divine to come, for the beloved to come. The fire is so intense that you want it to rain, you want his raincloud to come and cool you. The flame of the anguish of separation is born in my heart. There is only one desire, one longing left - I long to see you, I yearn to see you. The whole search has moved to his eyes; everything in him becomes a waiting. The whole energy of the devotee turns into prayer and waiting. The eyes of the devotee are completely focused. His whole energy moves slowly to his eyes. And the day that your whole energy becomes the eyes, the ultimate happens in that very moment.
Mentally Challenged. My heart aches when I see them suffering because on one hand you are standing and living a normal life with a normal mental stability and on the other hand they who are scared to talk to you because they feel you would make fun of them or ill treat them.People who are mentally challenged face a lot of more difficulties in their life as compared to the normal people out there. People face a lot of problem understanding people who are mentally because at times they do not know what exactly they are talking about. There are ways to understand such people but at times they misuse the ways for wrong person. Being mentally challenged is not be abnormal but they are normal in a different way.In some places people who are mentally challenged are really treated in such a way that they have become a terrible problem in someone’s life. In some cases, the parents leave their own child in an orphanage because they are mentally challenged. Even if they have parents, they still feel that they do not have parents because they are left all alone in the orphanage without a family in spite of having one. I really feel disappointed at times when I hear or come across stories of people who are mentally challenged who are left alone because of their mental health, people mistreat them, molest them because they don’t know what is right and what is wrong. At times they really do not even understand the intentions of the opposite person and what they are going to do or behave like. But there are some people who really try to understand such people because they know it is very difficult for being a mentally challenged person and dealing with other problems along with the people who behave with them differently along with them. Some people try to communicate with such people so that they can make it easy for them to face life and deal with problems and some people just make it too difficult for the mentally challenged people to face their life. Some people aim to make their life easier and some just add more problems in their life. At times mentally challenged people feel left out as they are not treated the same way as normal or ordinary people are treated. As far as its about me I try my best to understand how the person feels and its my responsibility to treat them as I treat other children among them. I usually visit an orphanage before my birthday, it feels good to spend time with people who do not know you but are happy to see you and are happy to communicate with you. Back down the memory lane when I was in 10th I had visited the orphanage near by my house from my school for a social service, I came across not only children but also ladies and girls and boys of my age and older then me who were challenged in some or the other way. It is never too easy to see someone pain even if you do not know them. You feel terrible because you cannot help them in anyone and in the end there is only one way to help them is that give them love and make them happy and make them feel special and there is no other way because they find it difficult because they think we would laugh on them for being mentally challenged.~ By. The concept of facing mental health problems and seeking help for them in India is highly tabooed. I have had a hard time processing this. In a diverse country like, differently able people, the LGBTQ and so on are not respected and sometimes even condemned. It is an irony in itself, isn't it? Some of the words people use are 'Cursed' or 'Paying for sins in their last birth'. I think mental health patients face a similar problem. People think you don't have a strong character the moment you mention your problem.Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an important concept in psychology and sociology. The events that lead to the disorder are as follows:1. Stressor: directly experiencing a traumatic incident; second hand by police, counselors etc; learning that someone close has experienced trauma.2. Intrusion in memory: keep thinking about it; flashbacks and nightmares.3. Changes in attitude: nothing seems enjoyable anymore; eating too much or too less; feeling of isolation; lack of participation in activities; negative feelings about everything and everyone.4. Avoidance and Reactions:saying no to parties and getting together; irritated by little things; difficulty concentrating, difficulty sleeping at night; suicide attempts; panic attacks. If these symptoms persist for more than a month, it is PTSD and it needs treatment. The following events can cause trauma in an individual:Childhood issues; divorce and disputes in family; sexual assault or rape; witnessing death of loved ones- accident, suicide or war and so on.Many are not aware of the various treatments for people diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. First and foremost, we need to be there for such and give them love and support when they facing such problems without overwhelming them with too much attention. Some of the treatments are listed below:1. Selective Serotonin Re uptake Inhibitors (SSRI)- induces positive thoughts, also called 'happy neuro-transmitters'.2. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- assistance provided by a mental health therapist to recover from trauma in a healthy and effective way.3. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)- relatively new psychotherapy treatment to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.Information source:http://theoaktreatment.com Thank you for reading;) Have a nice day.
Making sure to have a memory to cherish, Traveling to Mumbai was the first motion of the move and Mr. Pant with his musical team of 12 members including him took a flight on 19th night after a cracking live performance in Delhi to move for the bigger moment coming to look for.During the process they discussed what may be the major moment and also made sure while they were traveling that what they have planned must come to the right fruition. True they wil have to face the 'power monger' thinkers later once the event was over questioning it's validity but for them only one thing matter and that is 'community first' approach which they focus. And Mr. Pant agreed with the whole team for the same attitude till the musical night was to happen greatly in it's actual core to maintain it in right way. Once they reached Mumbai in early morning, they were greeted by some hospitable people who were assigned for the musical event and they took them to the hotel arranged for the whole team with instruments loaded in a different loading taxy to the same location that cherished Mr. pant' mood. Here they were told to wait first and once formal process was done, they were asked to have strong vegetarian breakfast which Mr. pant and his team accepted delightfully. After the breakfast was over some of team members went on to sleep, Few took out their instruments just to tune and Mr. pant went away for a while meeting with high level celebrities who will also be joining the musical night performing for their own cause and after a quick word with the managing team of the area where the Musical night was to take place he came back assuring the hotel bills to be cleared as well. Thus as a starting point it was great start to take on and he smiled with his team hoping it to be a great event at large. Though when the team in the early evening began their journey for the memorable moment of the night, they were surprised by the crowd that was gathering in the way for the centre stage towards the Mumbai central park and people had already started to come in huge numbers blocking the way of those honorary celebrities who were also going to perform which was a great sight to see and Mr. pant with team felt important for themselves as well listening the roar of the noise coming from the stage. As they reached the platform, the process has also started and the inauguration session had begun so the volunteers came quick by outside receiving the team and they were settled in chairs as senior as well as honorary musical names were receiving momentos for their presence when team reached so it was not too late though. The team found it easy to listen the voices expressing gratitude and enjoyed coffee and snacks while they were talking of the community response which was great in all respects. Once it was over, the lightboom band team was invited on stage to speak few words and they were also provided with momentos expressing gratitude for their community contribution that brought smile on Mr. pant's face and the event had taken toll now that is surely going to be a great one. It started with the prominent musical singers singing their songs showing their carisma with loud crowd behind them and BBC Music sponsers kept shining with their banner over the noise as it was great in all respect. After they have sung, they went out for their refreshments one by one, and the new rising voices from Musical community came in front singing their great's favourite performance which was nice. The bands continue to jingle in the 1st performance galore and also in the performances to support new voices and the atmosphere was now going to be a great one as The Lightboom band also get ready to all fours wishing to perform their best very soon. However things were not over till the band has performed and they were called one by one first to make sure crowd come behind and after once that has been accomplished all of the band members including Mr. Pant had taken their place looking to perform on stage after their great memory of Philippines back from February 2019. They had prepared 6 songs written by Mr. Pant and 2 were written by other band members to perform live and they were ready to go as sound became thrumbing on ears and they ignored what was happening around going completely rock on stage singing the songs with their instruments rightly tuned and experts on team playing great as well as singers of the team singing all the songs in great renditions. It was all on 'them like atmosphere now and the crowd sung few lines of every song they have heard and the senior people wached from back stage from musical industry smiling to the songs thus making it a great galore and complete delight. By such measure the performance went great with stability of classical nodes, equal drums on bang by the team drummist, great instrument display with both wind like Flute as well as string like Guitars on move, keyboard performance by the team player was great and brilliant support of the people gathered around was a great memory. It was something special for the whole team listening to BBC support from behind in musical field, smiling to the back up by some prominent names churrping as songs stopped and new ones were sung And ultimately it was a complete performance what Mr. pant had wanted on it's pervour. Thence at the end, after the lightboom band has performed they were asked to join into the dinner which they did and later on the BBC Asian Network and BBC Music paid them for the performance that made their day. By all accounts it was a memorable day for them to remember and hence as a memory it will stick closer to the team's heart for long by the way it all went with great success...
We can use Technology to provide education to children: We can give quality education by using the technology and by connecting to the globe, and where ever possible reuse the existing information.Use a commonplace for school, like the temple, church in absence of school.EDU-VAN for education: Mobile van will contain equipment like Computer, Mobiles, Mobile gadgets like memory card, Mobile/Radio charge outlet which will be used by the teacher and students. The mobile van can reach to the remote place and can be used to teach the students. The recorded media like pdf can be saved in the mobiles so this will serve as a textbook for children. The children can take the mobiles to their home and can learn. The usage of recorded media such as videos from youtube, how stuff works will help the children to learn at faster/own phase. Probably some rights are needed as these materials are been used by an organization. We need not invest a huge amount in mobiles there are many organizations that recycle the mobiles, with the advancement in technology probably we can get the recycled mobiles at a cheaper rate, and can have the recorded materials in it. Moreover, we need just a device to play media files and have pdf so that will not cost much.Google Hangout-based education: We can ask students from other countries, to provide online class sessions to the refugee camp students. If we can design a Time-Zone based Time Table, and by having collaboration with schools and colleges we can execute this idea. As a part of social service activity, points credit should be given to the students and teachers of various school, where they will be spending 2 to 3 hrs a week in teaching the children on their favorite subject. At the end of the session, the google hangout video will be available which can be used as recorded material and can be reused for clarifying doubts and refreshing the subject.Radio-Based Education: Still there are places which may not have enough electricity so we can use the radio in those places. 3 or 4 dedicated channel for education, where the subjects can be broadcasted repeatedly and weekly once. Children can attend the school (a common place like temple/ Van) and can get their doubts clarified. If that is not possible an interactive radio session can be conducted/Email based question-answer session can be conducted where the children can post their question to the staff/teacher they will send a mail to other teachers and will provide an answer.Bring Innovation in Teaching: In today's world innovation cannot be ignored, so even the teachers should keep learning, and should introduce new approaches in learning, there are many online free courses on creativity and Design labs. Which will be useful for teachers and students. So the teachers/students can enroll in those courses and can share their experiences. One such course is by Novo Education, Creativity course by Tina Selig https://novoed.com/creativity, where you get a chance to interact with professionals from various background. "Nothing can replace Experience, and when some shares it please absorb it!"Knowledge Sharing Session: Let the students learn through the recorded media, and let them be one day teacher. Where the student takes the class for other students, the idea is to improve their confidence and soft skills which are required for their future. In the advanced version of knowledge sharing the refugee students can take the class to the foreign students so they can overcome their fear.Advanced Skill Learning: We can use some mobiles to have an advanced skill set learning, which contains recorded materials on various subjects like "Languages, Photography, Journalism " etc let the student learn these skills through the recorded media. Then UNHCR can conduct a workshop on that subject based on the enrolled student's strength. The accelerated workshops and apprenticeship help them to achieve the job.Security Issue: One of the main reasons, girls avoid school is security reasons. If we can deliver the materials through recorded media through mobiles, we don't need even the internet, they can play the recorded materials and pdf at their own phase. They can clarify their doubt once or twice in a week when the Edu-Van reaches their place. "It's better to learn, than being taught." Moreover most of the girl's dropout during the secondary education and by using the animations we can teach them easily as the "picture is worth more than a thousand words"!Divide and Conquer Education with informal discussion: Let the girls interact with each other, their neighbor/ friend let them learn one subject properly and share the learning with other girls in their locality.Time Management: When a girl becomes pregnant, or she has household responsibilities she cannot spend enough time in school, with the help of recorded media she can learn the things at a faster pace, and by giving 3-4 hours on the important subject she can achieve a good education. After a certain age " We can learn by our-self, but we need to invest ample time and confidence to achieve it.Advanced Skill Learning: We can use some mobiles to have advanced skillset learning, which contains recorded materials on various subjects like "Languages, Photography, Journalism " etc let the student learn these skills through the recorded media. Parents and Families: Parents should encourage their children to attend the technology-based school, as schooling is delivered to their home. So the security issue is been addressed. At the max, their children have to visit the EDU-VAN or Church-based school weekly once or twice. This is a chain reaction when one family follows it, others will start doing it.Communities: The communities can help in setting up the school in the church or other common places, and they have to spread the message that "By educating a girl they are educating their society" during the public gathering they need to spread the message of Technology based schooling and their advantages, such as their children has a good scope to get a job, quality education. So this encourages the parent to send them to school.Though all of these are thoughts can this be realized?
The beginning of the second day started normally with cool fashion with all prominent people greeting each other, officials welcoming writers of all 21 nations with smiles and handing on schedule of the day to take on, And it was going to be one more day of fun, galore and happy smiles all along. It kicked off with the Honorary directors, organisers and other people being honoured for their service, their short gratitude and explaination of the role they have handed in such time so well, and their wishes to all who have come to represent expecting that preservation of culture in writing shall go on which was agreed by all of us. Once that was done, the proceeding started and it was field adventure to come on where some local sites across Andree Pension, Castelel peles and other local areas were introduced and their impact was explained by the guiding experts while we were observing them that helped the early start to be a prominent one. In such exploration it was great to know the Historic medieval tradition of Romanesque pillars, the way people used to preserve Candle cultures in marvel stones, The way fountation measurement was applied for water management system by early modern Romanian ruling groups and We also came to know the way things were applied in historic fashion. Besides we got the oppurtunity to look after cultural pillars that stand tall inside Castelel Peles and we got the oppurtunity to touch the prime Royal Amblem, the cultural symbol of peace of arts, and we felt great to have it's experience as explained by the guides along side us. Once that was accomplished, we got back into our cabs, took the oppurtunity to reach cafeteria to have vegetarian lunch and it was time approaching now when things would become formal as well as People would have to go back. But the exploration was great in all respects while visiting such hot spots and touring them made it so special after observing such traditions in such great way. Once our outyard adventures have got over, We had lunch, and have been enjoying each other company Thence we decided to take a short experience note with journalists present about the trips in local areas and the writers/poets from all 21 countries took their positions on 6 different podiums inside explaining their experiences altogether. After the experiences and feedbacks were done, things started to get more formal and one more confrence was planned by the organisers but this time not in separate subsessions but in one whole group structure involving all and it took place on the second town hall integral place. Here we all as authors/poets gathered to discuss the future of creative writing and this confrence's main aim was to discuss that what may be the plans to protect the writing culture? How to save it for the next generations? And in what way right steps can be decided? It went all well for around 3 hours with participation, enthusiasm and great thought process of all the writers providing feedbacks for what can be done and how things can be affective and I listened out, argued with some and enjoyed it a lot for sure. And once it was over the final proceedings were on show coming very close now reminding me again of the past happiness of World poetry championship award receiving and I guess this time the process was going to be same one, though the Award ceremony has been much different than that with it's title which suits the best, and I now awaited hoping to have more great fond memories at large. it was time for the last proceeding now and It was as mentioned in above lines has to be the award ceremony where all writers, jury members, associates, guests and prominent names were settled according to their names, places and position waiting for their name calls and receive such prestigious honour. I was only told on the early momentum of 1st day that an award known as 'Best Asian community poet' award has been confirmed in relative to me and I held my breath waiting for the right time. In the beginning the most high ranked officials, organisers and deligates were first called to receive their honours one by one. Once they were over the members of Jury from Europe were called to receive their awards on basis of their literary ranks. Then the official leaders of certain countries were called upon to gain, oblige and receive such prominent awards on basis of their literary standards. And after that all honorary process was over, thence our numbers came by to get the honours done by receiving our prestigious awards on basis of our commendable performances in field of literature. We were seated according to the alphabetical order on basis of sir name and I seated myself behind Pane, Panoe and Panser waiting for my turn which was not far and meanwhile other honorary writers have started to get the awards I engaged myself holding Mango shake aloft as well as enjoying Veg muffin and once the name was called it was great to settle. I went to stage supported by a volunteer, received the honorary trophy, saved it in my bag, spoke for 5 minutes on transition of Technology for creative writing and didn't extend my hand for the prize money as I have discussed earlier with the award giving committee that the fund should go for the weakened Literary families of Balcan community. And a smile on my face I shook hands with the honour giving members, had some photo clicks with them and Ultimately it was over for me. But it was not all over yet, other remaining writers/poets were receiving their awards and My newly made friends continue to crack jokes while we enjoyed Mango shakes all along, thus once the last alphabet 'Z' was over Thence the award ceremony had come to the close. At the end of all such formalities, the key organisers came to the stage once more and presented their analyses of whole 2 days as the contributory moment of the Validictory function explaining how things went, where they wish to improve more, and how management went through with great support of all of us. Once that was done, night crackers went high into the sky, the memory has almost converged to a glorious one, And with smile all around us the 2 day European Poetry Championship award ceremony was over at large...

The dark hovered over. Her heartbeats palpitated. Fear took over face. Her voice as conversation tripped a long time, mobile battery getting run out. She behaved like a child. She feared of dashing air force, jerking window pane, she scared of insects, she tried to ward off scared insects in rambling all around rooms. Awhile light went off. Power cut off. Dark hovered over the room. Lighting struck. Cloud floating, rain dashing over roofs. Lights flashes, dashed all over door. She was a lonely creature in the room. Her contact with husband trailed away, disconnected.mobile battery run out. She fumbled and forward in dark to find candle near window side. In dim flash of lighting she found it. She struck match, and burnt candle. Flames of candle moved here and there due to wind force. The flickering of candle flames made her comfort. She made her way toward her marriage album photo. She fingers her hand. Flapped page one by one and lost into old member ed, her heart brought old memory of marriage. She dreamed,.rolled and reeled before eye ;her eyes grew dark circle hovering over,....flickering image dancing before her eyes unable to sleep her. Jerking and hissing movement of air. The breaking sound of lighting added to nuisance to her.Rainwater leaked through the roof. Dripping continued. Made a sound of drip-drip…..!!!.enabled her sleep into night lonely. Dripping through house wall. She put up utensil on the dripping point..it created horror sound that it scared her. Tinkling sound unable to sleep. Then she put aside utensil and remains dripping continued instead. It was difficult to pass the whole night by lonely. The crawling insect made her life (miserable) than any other incident. She did not use to it before. The short term visitor crawling at night room when light went off. Whole room looked like a dungeon. They made their way through door scuttling side to prey upon insects. In between suddenly, candle put on the window side blown off with a gushing force. She fumbled in search of matchbox. It found out of stock only remaining two sticks. Match box sticks run out in her fruitless two try. Room became dark house and residue of insect home. In sudden she falls off over floor unconscious mood. She got fits and dizzy feel. In flip moment went into dreamed;in deep sleep, she dreamed of her husband, and she clutched in her fist. She gripped hard. She placed her whole body over it. Clutched to chest. Twisted and squeezed it. In struggle movement she got bite.but she did not unlatch it. Caught hard unroll last sigh in her life.Following morning when neighbour came to rescue her from unlock door ,she found lying over floor unconscious; and beside album and What seen unbelievable in her hand clutched to chest.’ A snake hood’ strangled to death. They admitted her nearby hospital. She diagnosed snake bite Mark.. She went through unconscious since a month. She took a month to recover from that scary August night....End.......
This award in romanian language is commonly known as 'Pentru cel mai bun poet al comunita-ii asiatice' Honour and has been a great one to have as a poet for any Asian born person. It is generally given to those people who have suffered any challenge in their lives belonging to the Prominent Asian continent and still come out of that making a phenomenal remark for themselves by contributing to culture, literature or in the academic field. In this way this is an award that gives empowerment to certain cultural sectors in Asia and it is for the community's power through recognising them by appreciating their potential for which it is ultimately presented. The award basically contains a shield with a medal with symbol of 'Falcun' on one side and of 'climbing birds' on other side that represents flight sorted out with challenge. A strong prize money also given to apreciate the contributions done by those certain persons appreciating his or her commitment in their prominentn field by their hard work being paid off. And the letter of appreciation by the jury that gives the same in sinaia in Romania on a certain huge ocasion to recognise the virtual representation of such affiliation for which it is ultimately presented to the recipient presenting the virtual impact for his or her great commitments. I was asked during the invite of the European Poetry championship award ceremony to specify my presence which is to say that I should express my views on the certain award which I mentioned that should be better if it is kept secret and I should come to know about it later once I have been part of fond memories and hence it was agreed and I was yet unaware of the award till the early afternoon of the 1st day of the Poetry award ceremony which was also good being patient. Once I was cornered by the European jury, explained that such award titled 'Best Asian community poet award' shall be on my name and I shall receive it on the 2nd day's award ceremony thence my joy was infinite and It was extremely greatful to all of them. I thanked the lord, my parents and family, gratified poets and author and as well as expressed my joy to the jury who has confirmed and they were equally delightful that made the day first on 4th of May coming to know that such certain award shall be presented to me on eve of 5th of May. Though one thing I made clear that I would not take the heavy prize money offered with it thus satisfied with letter of appreciation and the medal, and that shall go to the contributions of literary communities in Balcan core and difficultly though the jury agreed calling the representatives core who's joy was also on top and hence it was great to be part of such happy moment altogether. In the speech that followed when I was receiving the award, there were things I wished to convey to the writer's community and thence understanding my intentions the award handing team provided me the mike to speak out with galore and joy to express for which I was up to the core. I spoke about the culture of preserving human rights, Talked how culture of writing can be inspired and protected, explained that why Certain communities need to contribute in writing for their ultimate existence, and after thanking everyone with huge cheer and loud clappings all around it was over. I followed the volunteers who have taken me to the podium, asked them to help me out with the wait of the award's trophy which they did greatly, and after all things were rightly managed I went back to my position. Thus having such an award like 'Best Asian Community poet award' is one more memory for me to cherish and I shall keep it in my mind forever as I witnessed other poets/writers receiving their awards and I clapped in their turn like they have done for me that made it a great moment in the validictory function at large...
Trust Yourself - In Gita Verse 1.14 On the other side, both Lord Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna, stationed on a great chariot drawn by white horses, sounded their transcendental conch shells. In this verse of Gita says how the other side was representing themselves. They were totally aware of what is happening outside. But didn’t lose the connect with themselves. Once they heard Grandfather Bhīṣma blow his conch shell, they become more alert towards their position. Also they followed the decorum and discipline of their army. Krishna and Arjuna when they blew their conch shells, it had delivered the message of transcendental, means with the objective world they are also connected with their subjective world. They welcomed all the changes and according to that circumstances they could change their strategy. From their position, stationed on a great chariot drawn by white horses and blew from their conch shells they conveyed their alertness of objective world and subjective world. They have not declared their power of objective world but alertness of subjective world.A person of alertness knows that objective world is for their reference and subjective world is from where they need to act. When you act from your subjective world, you show your humbleness, gratitude, compassion for the objective world. You don’t reject objective world. You cooperate with the objective world, in great reverence. This act will create silence around them. One who is stuck in the objective world has no respect nor love for themselves. For them their will is more important than the divine will. Their actions will be arrogant and disrespectful towards objective world. They will represent their ability as power. They are in a hurry, excited, anxious, etc.In my blog, Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.8, I wrote how we have misinterpreted the real meaning of Jesus’ statement and preach a dangerous doctrine of not using the will. We need will but need to attune our will with God’s will, which is guided by your subjectivity, you are then using divine will. You become divine will.In the same circumstances a person with alertness and a person who is stuck in objective world will see the difference In our life as we have many times experienced that when we are alert, we are silent and the end result will open a new door for us. New opportunities for us. When we are stuck we cannot open the door of opportunity. Why? Our next assignment will be given to us by the universe only if we have aligned our will with divine will. This is opportunity, challenge. How we can align our will with universal will. Simple whatever act you are doing think what more needs to be done? Even if it is washing your hands, eating food, or any trivial act. If you are alone when you are having food eat each bite with awareness, while washing your hands feel the sensation of water on the hands and feel the sensation in the whole body. You will notice a very subtle enthusiasm in you.If you are with others having food at that time priority changes from awareness towards self to awareness towards others. Means here we need to participate. Means knowing what kind of food they like, what type of subject that they will be interested to discuss, create the environment in such a way that everyone at dining table will not only will have food but are also ready to interact, eating food with each other will become a memory of joy to carry with them. Our alertness towards objective and subjective world will make us humble. The man of humbleness is not an exhibitionist; he does not show a consciousness of his defects or shortcomings. A man of humbleness simply is no more; he exists without an ego, without a personality. And without a personality you cannot have shortcomings and you cannot have defects. These are possessions of the ego. That’s why ego feels a deep inferiority complex whenever it sees some defect, some shortcoming. They trust themselves. They are unpredictable as they will respond to each moment differently, with alertness. If this moment demands them to fight they will fight, if this moment demands them to express their compassion towards the other person, who has even tried to take your life they will show their compassion. Because for them divine will is most important. Like Mirabai, when she was asked to drink the poison she drank without any ill feeling. Then she left Mewar. When the same people went to search her and found her, requested her to come back to Mewar, she only said let me take permission from my lord Krishna. If he permits I will come. She entered the Dwarka Mandir, closed the door to seek permission and never returned back. She disappeared into God. Put is rightly God absorbed her.Whatsoever you do, do it with deep alertness; then even small things become sacred. Then cooking or cleaning become sacred; they become worship. It is not a question of what you are doing, the question is how you are doing it. You can clean the floor like a robot, a mechanical thing; you have to clean it, so you clean it. Then you miss something beautiful. Then you waste those moments in only cleaning the floor. Cleaning the floor could have been a great experience; you missed it. The floor is cleaned but something that could have happened within you has not happened. If you were aware, not only the floor but you would have felt a deep cleansing. Clean the floor with full awareness, luminous with awareness. Work or sit or walk, but one thing has to be a continuous thread: make more and more moments of your life luminous with awareness. Let the candle of awareness burn in each moment, in each act.
This tournament is a prolifically organised tournament for the visually impaired quizzers from all acrossthe globe that takes place in gap of every 4 year in the capital of England that is known amongst all as theroyal city of London.First organised back in 1951, it has expanded it's reach and has become a key source for those who wishto be part of it and can become grand people by participating in such a historic tournament that has it'sown follower, unique cultural essence and impressive track record with best teams competing from allover the world.Generally it has 10 separate groups in which 8 teams are consisted in each group and in all of them 80teams come together to participate as 80 countries that makes it a grand tournament in it's royal approachfor we the VI community.Since it's beginning back in 1951, the tournament has taken great leaps and its well-frame and organisedby Royal Commonwealth committee for the Blind, RNIB and other institutes in their virtual approach thatultimately makes it a remarkable tournament the way they take things to right direction and make it'ssuccess commendable.Although without dout International Quiz federation has it's own role to play in organising such acompetitive tournament, credits can't be taken away also from quiz federations of all 80 countries whoshow their trust and make this tournament a grand one, only bigger second to Quiz world cup, and showshow great this royal tournament has been for the VI people. In this way organisations are many who are behind the scene and also BBC networks Community channelcovers the tournament, like it does the Quiz world cup, thence the way things span out and authoritiesarrange great platforms both for stay and hospitality, and all are helpful that makes it a great one.As far the legacy of being champion to such a grand tournament is concerned, the home country havetaste of winning it twice and besides England, Belgium, Norway, Spain and Austria have also been thechampion of the tournament in past having those fond memories for themselves.Besides in context of the American legacy countries like Mexico, Canada and Nicaragua have cherishedthe joy of making through for the cup and winning it on certain times making it a cracking one.Further in context of Asia, countries like Combodia, Uzbekistan and China has been part of the glory ofsuch a tournament and their visually impaired people have done great to make through and be victoriousin the tournament.Though India hasn't have the chance yet to be victorius in such a grand tournament and in 2019 inleadership of champion Mr. saurabh Pant from nainital with a very strong team lineup, they may wish tofulfil their will to win this tournament making the mark.In context of the process of the tournament, there are certain rounds by which the challenging teams haveto go through and as the days go by team count starts to thin and some of the best remain to combat thebest moment to cherish. In the 1st round, there are two days to follow in which both days the competing teams have to be with thebraile round and both days have 4 rounds in total with 2 braille rounds particularly on the go by which onthe basis of the answers given teams who come last have to go home packing their bags.Once the braille rounds are over, the typing round on computer through screen readers like JAWS orSupernova begins and there in process of 1 day two segments of typing round come by in which thelowest scoring teams once again have to leave back for the home.Ultimately the knock out round starts through mike round on stage in which best team face each other andafter quarters, Semis and, at last through finals the decision of the winner is announced which isphenomenal. Thus by such measures in step by step process the whole tournament goes on and it's 5 day hecticschedule makes it a great memory to cherish specially for those who become the ultimate winners. There are also certain fields which a quizzer participating in such grand tournament has to prepare andthey come in different patterns according to the stage. The 1st day covers 'International relations' in which topics like Current Affairs, Global Issues, nativehistories, European-Asian relations and many other are basically covered. On day 2 the issues related to Environment come to face in which topics like European commitments,European chemicals, subsidiary alliances, Europe-Arctic tendencies and gglobal formulas are covered. On day 3 things become more tight and topics related to 'Sports' are covered in which Cricket, Football,Outdoor games, Olympics, Commonwealth and others are covered. And lastly in the knock out stage, spontaneous response matters more than anything where any field cancome to hit the target and best tteams with most prolific speed comes to act to have success.Ultimately it is a tournament to watch out and as International sport-interested people may be busywatching the Cricket world cup that is on progress, there is some nice chance for them to also enjoy ourquiz tournament who's fixtures are not going to clash after great commitments by the International quizfedeeration and the Royal Commonwealth Committee and it is a great way to enjoy them along. As an Indian, I can insure that it will be going to be a cracker in all ways where around 80 countries willdisplay their great community tallent and it is also to explore how we the visually impaired people gettogether, enjoy such academic sport-festivals and make them great.Though I am not going to promise whether our certain team will win or that certain team will be on top,One thing I can promise from all the UK quiz loving people that you will get complete entertainment. And I hope that you will all come in huge numbers supporting your legeandary quiz tournament also tomake it a great one...
Sharpening Our Consciousness - In Gita Verse 1.37-38 O Janārdana, although these men, their hearts overtaken by greed, see no fault in killing one’s family or quarreling with friends, why should we, who can see the crime in destroying a family, engage in these acts of sin?Arjuna is alert regarding others greed and he wants to inquire when the other person is overtaken by greed why we should do crime in destroying them and engage in this sin. But he becomes unconscious regarding himself. He is not able to become alert that seeing the greed in the other person is a reflection of his greed. Right now the greed in them shows that his greed of being pious is more important than the assignment of universe. When we are not able to see that the other person is just a reflection of ourselves, it only means we are unconscious of ourselves. This statement of Arjuna is very much appealing to us for only a single reason, that, we don't want to act. This is mental laziness. In my blog Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.8, I have explained in detail regarding mental laziness. As we are mentally lazy and our whole education system is based on giving ready-made answers. Because of those ready-made answers you never develop your intelligence as there is no necessity - you ask the question and a computer(google) can answer them.Unless a question is solved by you yourself, your intelligence will never be sharpened, your consciousness never becomes alert. You go on accumulating ready-made answers in your mind, in your memory, which is simply a load, of no use. In any situation which is fresh and new you will be at a loss what to do, because you don’t have the ready-made answer. You can believe any answer given from outside, but you cannot trust it. You can manage, you can force yourself to believe it because the person who has given it seems to be the right person. But all these are guesses - and a belief is not a trust. Belief is always in somebody else; trust is something that arises in you as a fragrance of your being - as your intelligence sharpening, as your consciousness growing.Whenever we find any reason and explanation for not taking any action, get alert, as you are slipping into the unconsciousness. To keep our consciousness sharp and alert we need to remind ourselves continuously what more I can do? For example while washing the hands if you remind yourself what more I can do, immediately you will be able to focus on washing hands, feeling the touch of water, feeling the sensation in the body. Your whole act of washing hands will give you subtle freshness and enthusiasm. Same act will become act of self-alertness, sharpening your consciousness. The simple reminder to yourself what more I can do has brought you out from your unconsciousness. The act from which you feel freshness and enthusiasm is sharpening your consciousness.I remember a quote by Abraham Lincoln Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.Preparation time is more important than our act.We all watch movies. I recall an interview of Akshay Kumar by Anupam Kher. Akshay Kumar said in that interview that the two minutes of movie which we watch, requires 8-9 hours of shooting and all the other preparations like set, dialogue, lyrics, story, dress selecting, etc are not included in 8-9 hours of shoot. This means for two minutes of a movie it requires minimum of 5-6 days of preparation.Sharpening our consciousness is life time assignment.Pandavas during their life what they have done is practice of sharpening their consciousness. This example will give more clarity. When Arjuna was cursed by Urvashi he accepted it and after the acceptance of the curse he requested her to modify it and she agreed. As he was knowing that only through acceptance without resistance he can transform it. Ultimately the same curse became a blessing during their last year of exile. Unless you sharpen your consciousness you cannot transcend anything. Only through our sharpness we can come out of our unconsciousness and transform unfavourable circumstances to favourable circumstances. As Arjuna throughout his life had practised to sharpen his consciousness and for this reason in his unconsciousness he is turning to Krishna not for any desire but for support in bringing him back to his own consciousness. His turning to Krishna and not to others, shows his willingness to come out of his unconsciousness. Without hiding any of his body sensations, thoughts and emotions he describes to Krishna.
Half Truth - In Gita Verse 1.39 With the destruction of the dynasty, the eternal family tradition is vanquished, and thus the rest of the family becomes involved in irreligion. Now Arjuna says that from Bhishma to everyone in the family will vanish in this war. After the war from our family no one will be alive and whosoever is alive will not live religiously. The statement is logical and appealing.Logical mind cannot see anything in totality, as whole. It can only see life as fragments. Mind is incapable of comprehending totality.Totality cannot be approached through logic. Totality can be approached only through subjectivity. Totality is not a syllogism; it is not a conclusion. But logic can give you a false notion. It simply says that when Arjuna says that the destruction of dynasty, Arjuna infers that this war is going to destruct my dynasty. He becomes unconscious of Universe and plan of Universe. By this logic he says that the rest of the family who will be alive will be involved in irreligion. The conclusion is not right; remember that you don’t know. That ignorance will be very, very helpful, because that ignorance will be sincere, authentic, true.Knowing that I don’t know will support Arjuna to come back to his subjectivity.Right now what Arjuna says is like this - he is breaking a seed and looking into it, there is no trace of any tree there. No matter how much he searches he will not find any trace of a tree. But the tree certainly comes from this small seed. Because he is right now unconscious, he cannot think that what is not found in the seed, where does it come from? And such a huge tree was hidden in such a small seed! And then, after giving birth to seeds, that tree dissolves. Exactly like this, the whole existence comes into being and then dissolves. Energy comes into existence and then merges into non-existence.It is very difficult to catch hold of non-existence. Existence is of course visible to us. Hence, according to yoga, those who accept only existence - those who believe that existence is all - are seeing only leela, the play of life. And to know only the play is illusion.Illusion does not mean that one does not know; illusion means that one knows only the play. Knowing as such is there; even if one knows that he does not know, then too the knowing is there. So knowing is in all of us. And illusion doesn’t mean “not knowing.” The most unaware of all beings also knows some things. According to yoga, the meaning of illusion is to know only half. And remember, the half-truth is worse than untruth - because it is possible to be free from untruth, but to be free from the half-truth is very difficult. It appears to be the truth and it is not. If it is wholly the untruth, purely the untruth, then it won’t take any time to be free from it. But if it is a half-truth it is very difficult to be free from it.There is one more reason that a thing like truth cannot be divided into halves - because in dividing it into halves, it dies. Can you divide your love in half? Can you say, “I half love you” to somebody? Either you love or you don’t love, but half-love is not possible. Can you say “I half steal”? Maybe you steal half a dollar, but the stealing of half a dollar is also full stealing, and the stealing of a million dollars is also full stealing so is the stealing of half a cent. Half-stealing cannot be done. Half of a thing can be stolen but the stealing itself cannot be half. The very meaning of “half” is that you are in illusion.Yoga says that those who see only existence are grasping only half. And he who grasps only the half lives in illusion. No, the other side is also there. A man who says, “I am born but I don’t want to die,” is clinging to the half. He will suffer; he will live in illusion. And no matter what he may do, death is bound to come - because the other half cannot be parted with. If you have accepted birth, death is the other half of it, it comes together with it. A man who says, “I will choose only the pleasures, not the pains,” is falling into a fallacy.Yoga says that the moment you choose only the half you fall into error. Suffering is only the other side of pleasure, it is half of it. Hence, one who wants to be peaceful will have to know restlessness also. There is no way out. Yoga says that to avoid one half is illusion. They are together. But we do not see the whole; what we see first we hold on to. And we go on denying the other side without understanding that when we have been holding on to one half, the other half is waiting behind it. It is just waiting for an opportunity; it will soon appear.Arjuna’s statement of this verse simply says that he is looking the circumstances only as half, which is not truth, it’s half truth. In his half truth he is seeing that everyone over here will be vanquished and leave a message for the next generation or whoever will survive is only irreligion memory and nothing else. For him his logical conclusion is truth. He forgets that when Universe gave him assignment to Fight Without Enmity is ultimate truth. Where your action is as non-doer is religious act and whoever will be left after the war they will be able to live religious life.
This glory is something that we have been wanting from long time not because we haven't won it and we wish to but also because we were in such mood that United Kingdom can be a lucky charm for us and there we can perform our best and make the country proud. In this way when our meetings started to kick on back in Early may 2019 it was up for us to make challenges bigger, make sure that we do tick those boxes which weren't address in absence or presence of certain players and make the mark. Thereby after returning to complete health with short niggles and listening out the lacking pinpoints to track after our performances in Pan American quiz tournament in my absence It was up for me and the coach sir to once again set the tone and make sure we set right standards from the beginning. At least we were up for the basic plans in the meetings held before the tournament and I believe that from there on the trust to do well and make sure that we come on top has started to become sure not only for a proper settlement but for a better future vision in it's ultimate approach and I am glad in past the way things shaped and the team continued to work hard in the practice sessions before the quiz tournament indeed. In the early stages we found ourselves with great atmosphere in Trinity college, London with great support of we the Indians and we would like to express our grattitude here going further as a team response and I felt that the entire team started to blend in with such environment and the hunger to perform big started to grow. In the both 2 braille rounds we did well and though we were not at the top we were still around in top four which was pleasing and we knew that as the bigger matches come by our pressure game should develop more and it was a great start with team contributing regularly not depending only on the captain or vice captain for the impact and all joining the cultural galore. Further in the both typing rounds we burst through and at the end of it finished on the top with great score at the end of it which was more delightful and we have started to recognise that bigger moments can be ours if we play well and impress each other for great momentum that is essential to go through for knock out stages. Yet we also had fun moments from beginning to keep the tone of the inside rooms that counted our early trip to entire London before the tournament started and our happy trip to the London zoo after the league stages closed and altogether it was great fun to have around and make sure that happy moments continue to inspire before the performance to come in pressure situation with promissing results on show. Once the knock out stage were in front of us there was a serious plan that we have to apply with the other teams who have come by and they were all top teams for which accurate speed, right decision making and equal judgement skills were essential for which we have a short meeting before our 1st match against Greece who's victory should certainly lead us to the semi finals. In the Quarters we made sure to understand Where Greece has their weaknesses, applied our speed to right perfection and the biggest joy for me was the role of the central order and the vice captain who all came to their fours and performed well ultimately helping us to the next stage with tremendous roar of support from crowd and great delight of the team. However we hhad cleared the quarters, the next knock out was going to be more tough and when we came to realise that Switzerland had surprised Sweedon we were not shockd and knew they are great side and have to perform well against them thus when we faced them we focused on early start, struck down speed of burst on buzzles and hence in the third round found their pressure zones with they doing some mistakes of wrong answers that ultimately helped us and by that we had bounced to our first finals in the legendary tournament like European Quiz championship. The morale to support back home was phenomenal, we had a quick chat with honorary leaders of our comunity on phone to appreciate and they spread their wishes, social media greatly applauded but also wished us goodluck and now it was only 1 step away the memory we want to save in our heart forever if we are able to champion the finals against the very strong hoste England and become the champions. Yet when the finals came it was something assuring to see the way team was ready for it and I have called Tanishka, a Quiz player of Maharashtra, in case if my heart not respond well and I might not be fit to play, But the team requested and after some pulling of legs amongst mates for laughter things has started to shape well and after some quick sessions of talks with coffee amongst us we got ready for the place travelling again in the same cab with great support of Allen the cab driver and continued to chat the plans we have made against the home team in this big final. We knew that the support would be phenomenal for both teams and Brian Higgs who is the captain of English Visually impaired team told us that we were getting great response which was understandable and I was happy to see the way things were going till the match had to begin. Once we went in, the formal process started where this time there were 4 rounds each of 1 hour with each having two phases of 30 minutes with 10 questions each and like all the knock out rounds the team that would score the best at the end of the 4 rounds shall be declared the champions and it was going to be a real cracking evening. The patterns once again repeated itself with both team's players names were announced with their coach, both teams' captains speaking to the crowd greeting and introducing, and the umpire also introducing himself, a good one from turkey, and it was surely going to be great fun for all of us and we couldn't wait for such moment anymore than our opponents and it was off with the bang of the whistler and buzzles started to zing from all sides. The first two rounds were very close no dout with both the team performing well but in the 1st hour we had taken lead from 200 to 150 and I think our plans were well, But England came back very strong taking the lead of 10 points in the 2nd hour with their score 170 to ours of 160 and we were not in panick mode but had realised that they were not going to give up easily and shall come to best moves when required. Though in the 3rd round we returned with more speed of accuracy and the central order once again fired with our lead going up to 200 to 150 again and I think that was the defining point, Though England had to perform great in the last hour they had started to do those pressure errors like Switzerland of Semi finals and we were able to close it down from 180 to 100 by them and we are very glad to announce on our social media places for those who are waiting for great news that we have managed to win. We defeated them by 750 to 570 after the conclusion of the all 4 rounds and once the announcement of our victory happened on stage mike the noise was deafening, we were all on our feet being 1st time champions of this historic Quiz tournament for the visually impaired and as a captain as wel as a quizzer i shall remember this memory for long and express my gratitude to all those who kept their faith in us and supported us both in England and also back Home, Thank you all. Further in process the presentation ceremony took place after gap of 1 hour and we were amongst the award winners but there were some rising faces and 1 player and his or her coach were nominated for 6 different awards each representing a certain continent as this is a huge tournament and it was a great gesture by the Royal Commonwealth committee and yet our vice captain was the performer of the tournament an I got the performer of the day which was happy to see and pleasing as a captain that I was able to contribute in the big match to bring the happy cause to right momentum. However we also got some local vegetarian food passes and I took the whole team to the party with some local media personal joining us, But again, I would rather here like to express my gratitude to parents and family, Indian Quiz Federation and the organisers of the tournament, our External Affair ministry and Tourism group in India, And all who are behind the scenes and made our success possible as a managing core. As a quizzer I am sure that even in the sighted field people in our country shall start to recognise it's value as a national sport and commercial quizzing can also continue, yet we have one happy moments and Quizzing as an academic sport has lot to go through in future in our country, Till more happy moments to come, Big thank you to all from the entire team, it's cheers from charlie...
