Bhagavad Gita Verse 11.32

The River Of Love - In Gita Verse 11.32 The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Time I am, the great destroyer of the worlds, and I have come here to destroy all people. With the exception of you [the Pāṇḍavas], all the soldiers here on both sides will be slain. When Krishna says that - I have come here to destroy all people - he means that now everyone will have to take rebirth. The old will disappear and give a path to the fresh energy. Science also says that nothing can be destroyed, nothing can be created only everything is changing form. What Krishna says that now the time has come for change. In my Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.22, blog I wrote Misery arises because we don’t allow change to happen. We cling, we want things to be static.Existence is a continuum. Like seed. it disappears as seed to appear as a tree, become again seed and drop the tree.DROP THE PAST EACH MOMENT:Death is already happening. Whether you face it or not, whether you look at it or not, it is already there. It is just like breathing. When a child is born, he inhales. He breathes in for the first time. That is the beginning of life. And when one day he becomes old, dies, he will exhale.Death always happens with exhalation and birth with inhalation. But exhalation and inhalation are happening continuously. With each inhalation you are born; with each exhalation you die.So the first thing to understand is that death is not somewhere in the future, waiting for you, as it has always been pictured. It is part of life; it is an ongoing process-not in the future, here, now.Life and death are two aspects of existence. simultaneously happening together.Ordinarily, you have been taught to think of death as being against life. Death is not against life - life is not possible without death. Death is the very ground on which life exists. Death and life are like two wings: the bird cannot fly with one wing, and the being cannot be without death. So the first thing is a clear understanding of what we mean by death.Death is an absolutely necessary process for life to be. It is not the enemy, it is the friend. And it is not there somewhere in the future, it is here, now. It is not going to happen, it has been always happening. Since you have been here it has been with you. With each exhalation it happens - a little death, a small death - but because of fear we have put it in the future. The mind always tries to avoid things which it cannot comprehend, and death is one of the most incomprehensible mysteries. There are only three mysteries: life, death and love. All these three are beyond mind.So mind takes life for granted; then there is no need to inquire. That is a way of avoiding. You never think, you never meditate on life; you have simply accepted it, taken it for granted. It is a tremendous mystery. You are alive, but don't think that you have known life. For death, the mind plays another trick: it postpones it. To accept it here and now would be a constant worry, so the mind puts it somewhere in the future - then there is no hurry. When it comes, we will see.And for love, the mind has created substitutes which are not love. Sometimes you call your possessiveness your love; sometimes you call your attachment your love; sometimes you call your domination your love - these are ego games. Love has nothing to do with them. In fact, because of these games, love is not possible.Between life and death, between the two banks of life and death, flows the river of love. And that is possible only for a person who does not take life for granted, who moves deep into the quality of being alive and becomes existential, authentic. Love is for the person who accepts death here and now and does not postpone it. Then between these two a beautiful phenomenon arises: the river of love.Life and death are like two banks. The possibility is there for the river of love to flow, but it is only a possibility. You will have to materialize it. Life and death are there, but love has to be materialized - that is the goal of being a human. Unless love materializes, you have missed - you have missed the whole point of being. When Krishna says that - I have come here to destroy all people - he speaks out of his compassion to give new form to everyone.

The biochemistry of love

❤️The biochemistry of love❤️Falling in love is undeniably one of the best feelings in the world. The majority of people who seek psychotherapy are either looking for love, too afraid of it or recovering from its loss. Psychologist Cher Laurenti Engerer explains what happens in our brains through this fundamental human experience. Romantic love – the kind that makes our heart skip a beat and puts a bounce in our step – may well be one of the most studied but least understood human behaviours. ❤️Psychological studies about love over the last decade have taken on a new dimension. Through the technologies of MRI imaging of the brain of individuals in the depths of romantic love, we have discovered that the very sight of our loved one is enough to send our brain into a biochemical overload. It was discovered that seeing photos of people we are in love with causes our brains to become active in regions associated with pleasure and rich in so-called feel-good neurotransmitters (happy hormones), such as dopamine. We also now know that primitive areas of the brain are primarily involved in romantic love – which means that love is not something we are consciously in control of but rather a process that happens with little involvement of the central brain. Falling in love happens without us thinking about it. This phenomenon is something of great frustration for most people. In fact, clients often come for psychotherapy hoping to be hypnotised or to be taught ways of forgetting or to stop loving, which of course is not something within our human capacity.❤️People also often seek to take a rational approach to love but, based on these findings, we can see that it is scientifically impossible to be rational and in love at the same time since two very independent mechanisms of the brain are responsible for love and reason; biochemicals are the fundamental influencing factor in the process of falling for our person.❤️So what happens when we fall in love? Chemicals associated with pleasure circuits flood our brain, producing a variety of physical and emotional responses – increased heart rate, dilated pupils, flutters in the stomach, loss of appetite, sweaty palms, flushed cheeks, feelings of passion and anxiety. Levels of stress hormones also increase during the initial phase of love, something most people find difficult to understand.❤️ Romantic love is experienced as a crisis in the brain, causing an avalanche of chemical reactions which shake the pediments of our life. With the increase of certain chemicals comes the depletion of others, causing strange and irrational behaviours. Sometimes, people can even become ecstatic, obsessive, irrational and terrified.❤️We are also prone to making rash decisions in these flights of passion. When in love, the neural processes responsible for making critical assessments of other people, including those we are in love with, shut down – which in essence is the basis for the old adage ‘love is blind’.❤️ The love hormone Oxytocin deepens feelings of attachment and makes couples feel closer to one another after having sex. It elicits feelings of joy, passion, safety and serenity. The lustful part of love is caused by testosterone and estrogens; other chemicals known as monoamines are responsible for attraction.❤️Heartbreak is a strong feeling of grief or despair. It can be experienced as a physical pain in the chest and at times can also be chronically debilitating to our lives, sending us into emotional turmoil and distress. This experience is also fundamentally biochemically based. In essence, it can feel like a ‘withdrawal’ from an addiction, during which ‘happy hormones’ leave our body or try to equilibrate and regulate themselves.❤️Heartbreak causes a volcano of chemical reactions which bring strong feelings of sadness and stress. Our brain triggers that we are in trauma, sending us into an autonomic loop of survival instinct. Life suddenly becomes about coping and our brain floods us with alert signals of danger and copious amounts of stress hormones in our blood. When we fall in love, chemicals give the body a goal and when heartbroken, the very same chemicals in the brain go out of whack, causing a chronic chemical imbalance. Heartbreak takes time to heal and has to run its course.❤️If love lasts, the rollercoaster of biochemical reactions and emotions tends to calm within one or two years, a term people commonly refer to as the end of the ‘honeymoon period’. Brain areas associated with pleasure are still activated as loving relationships proceed, but with the decrease of oxytocin, we also experience a decline in passion and craving.❤️Some propose that over time most couples see a change from passionate love to what is typically called compassionate love – a love that is deep but not as euphoric as in the early stages of romance. This is often a critical period for couples. Some assume they are no longer in love, some seek the passion elsewhere and others experience silent disappointment.❤️The good news is that it is actually possible to stay madly in love with someone after decades together. Research using MRI scans has shown that the same intensity of chemical reactions was observed in couples who had been together for over 20 years, as in those in the early stages of love. So, why do some couples have this and others not? Is it possible to rekindle the flame we experienced in the early days of our relationship after being bogged down by life, children, sickness and work pressures? The study suggested that the excitement of romance can remain while the apprehension is lost.❤️By Rajabala Tripathy

Bhagavad Gita Verse 10.29

Live Dangerously - In Gita Verse 10.29 Of the many-hooded Nāgas I am Ananta, and among the aquatics I am the demigod Varuṇa. Of departed ancestors I am Aryamā, and among the dispensers of law I am Yama, the lord of death. In this verse Krishna declare I am Ananta, Varuṇa, Aryamā and Yama - by declaring this he tells us that live dangerously. Living dangerously means having courage to respond to the present circumstances demand and not to your ideology and identity.Don't try to understand life. Live it! Don't try to understand love. Move into love. Then you will know - and all that knowing will come out of your experiencing. The more you know, the more you know that much remains to be known.Let us understand what Krishna says by Live Dangerously by the following story.Zen Tale is one. Two fakirs, one young and one old, pass by a river. The fakir is ahead; The monk is a Buddhist. A young girl is standing on the bank of the river. And she tells him that I have to go across the river, and I am afraid. And he felt that with the help of his hands, he should cross the river. But he thought that he should support the hand, that the lust was completely created inside. He got scared. Not afraid of a girl, she was scared of herself. Eyes lowered and the river crossed. He crossed the river and realized that I am a man and I have restrained myself, so I have not caught the hand of the girl. All our restraints are similarly weak. But the young monk who is coming behind me is not going to fall in this mistake, in which I was lying, left to face, and left childhood. He returned and looked, then his chest sat. That young monk is crossing the river with that girl on his shoulder! That boy, that young monk left the girl across the side of that side. Then both of them started walking towards their ashram. Mile road, the old fakir did not even utter a word. The fire is burning inside it. At the gate of the monastery, at the entrance of the ashram, he stopped and said to the young man, Remember that whatever sin you have committed, I will have to go and tell the master. The young man asked, what sin! How sin! He said, to put that girl on the shoulder. The young monk started laughing. He said, I even took her across the river from shoulder to shoulder, you still have her on your shoulder! You are still carrying her. You are still pulling him!Courage doesn’t mean that we save our identity, courage simply means let your action come from your no-mind, emptiness. Be with yourself. The young monk was so empty that he did not have any fear. When the old monk told that I will inform to the head of the monastery regarding your sin. The young monk reply was so alive that I have left her on the bank of the river you are still carrying. All of you can see that the old monk was giving him threatening still he was in gratitude and compassionate with him. Young monk only utter that still you are carrying her, without any allegation, judgements anything. This is the courage to be with yourself. You have to live in this world. But never forget your own love, compassion which you are made up of. Young monk was compassionate with the young girl and old fakir. He did not pray of lust or anger. He was in the middle. When Krishna is saying that I am Ananta, Varuṇa, Aryamā and Yama - he tells us to live dangerously. He says those who are courageous, go headlong. They search all opportunities of danger. Their life philosophy is not that of insurance companies. Their life philosophy is that of a mountain climber, a glider, a surfer. And not only in the outside seas they surf; they surf in their innermost seas. And not only on the outside they climb Alps and Himalayas; they seek inner peaks. But remember one thing: never forget the art of risking - never, never. Always remain capable of risking. Wherever you can find an opportunity to risk, never miss it, and you will never be a loser. Risk is the only guarantee for being truly alive.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 10.15

 27 May 2020

Dance Of Love - In Gita Verse 10.15 Indeed, You alone know Yourself by Your own internal potency, O Supreme Person, origin of all, Lord of all beings, God of gods, Lord of the universe!Arjuna is saying to Krishna - Your own internal potency…. - by saying he wants to have his own experience so his question regarding Who Krishna is can be dropped.Whenever we ask such questions it shows our eagerness and curiosity to know and experience. To know God there is only one way to know is to know yourself. If the wave knows himself as the wave he knows regarding the ocean, it will not be able to know the vastness of the ocean but the wave will have understanding and knowing of the ocean. He will not know the interiarity, vastness, potency, anything but will definitely have understanding and knowing of the ocean.Even if we know ourselves we will not be able to know the potency of God, but we have understanding and knowing regarding God and his internal potency, by knowing we will surrender and gratitude will arise in us.It is just dissolving, like when a drop falls into the sea and disappears. When a person is ready to fall and be dissolved like that, his ego will disappear immediately – and with the disappearance of the ego the inferiority that is hidden in it will also disappear. As long as you are full of ego you will continue to feel inferior inside. You are not trying to be free of inferiority, you are simply trying to hide it. It is like covering a wound with a beautiful bandage of silk or velvet. Howsoever beautiful and attractive to others those bandages may appear, your wound will not heal because of them. The danger is that the wound may fester into an ulcer by being covered in that way. If it had remained open there would have been a possibility of healing through the sunrays, the fresh air; nature would have helped the healing to happen. You are trying to hide or suppress your inferiority with money, position, knowledge, renunciation. By any means, you want to declare: “I am somebody.” You try to create a feeling of being somebody while inside your real situation is that you are nobody.A religious person has to pass through a death. It means that he has to give up the idea of being somebody – which is unnecessarily imposed from outside – and become ready to be a nobody. The mystery is that whosoever is ready to be a nobody will become one with the whole, whereas one who is trying to become somebody will just shrink more and more. He will never become one with existence.Let go of the pain of being a nobody and accept the feeling of nobodiness with ease – this is the state of a devotee. That is why Yama says, “Who can know better than I?”“By knowing the great, the omnipresent divine, which is bodiless and unchanging within the ever-changing body, the intelligent one becomes free from all sorrow and grief.”“…which is bodiless and unchanging within the ever-changing body…” The body is subject to change, but within this ever-changing body the unchanging is hidden. Here there is a continuous effort to bridge the opposites so that the indivisible can be perceived. Amidst all the changes the unchangeable is hidden; within the mortal the immortal is hidden; amidst all motion is hidden the unmoving. One who knows this eternal, deathless one within knows that no grief and no unhappiness can ever affect him.The whole suffering of man is because he is identified with the changeable. The very meaning of the word changeable is that it will change – and we don’t want it to change. A young person wants his body not to become old, but the body is bound to become old. The old person doesn’t want to die, but the body will die.You are identified and want things to be permanent, but they cannot remain the same. It is as if a person is standing on the bank of a river wanting the river not to flow, and if it flows he will become miserable because his demand has not been fulfilled. Everything is flowing, transitory, but you hold on to transitory things and want to make them permanent. This ends in misery because the transitory cannot be eternal. The moment you start feeling your inner light, your whole perspective starts changing. You will feel compassionate towards human beings even if they are doing stupid things. And you will feel immensely joyous, celebrating, even though you don't have anything to celebrate. Nothing is needed to celebrate – only excuses... birthday is just an excuse! But if you want to celebrate, you will find a thousand and one excuses.Once you have experienced your inner light and you feel compassionate towards everything, suddenly you will find that you become capable of giving and surprisingly more you give more it will be available to you. As you become the vehicle of the universe. Universe is abundance. Suddenly you will find that you have become emperor and this giving has different quality then before you experience your inner light. You are giving because you are overflowing with Universal energy. This is the first time that realization comes to you as understanding that I am not God Is. God is Love. When Whole, Universe, God or Krishna is using your body as a vehicle, suddenly you will feel - First be full of love, then the sharing happens. And then the great surprise, that as you give you start receiving from unknown sources, from unknown corners, from unknown people; from trees, from rivers, from mountains. Love starts showering on you from all the nooks and corners of existence. The more you give, the more you get. Life becomes a sheer dance of love.In this dance you will know internal potency of God, Krishna. There is no other way but to dissolve and disappear in the universe.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 11.44

A New Music - In Gita Verse 11.44 You are the Supreme Lord, to be worshiped by every living being. Thus I fall down to offer You my respectful obeisances and ask Your mercy. As a father tolerates the impudence of his son, a friend the impertinence of a friend, or a husband the familiarity of his wife, please tolerate the wrongs I may have done You.Arjuna surrenders himself.Unless you grow in gratitude surrender is not possible. The door to surrender is Gratitude. In my Bhagavad Gita Verse 11.14, blog I wrote Meditation is a flowering. And for us, the perfume of the flower is gratitude.Meditation, compassion and gratitude. Whenever you are meditative, you feel blissful; whenever you are in compassion, you feel ecstatic. You have to surrender, and the ego cannot surrender, it can only fight:Surrender means - When you come to a peak of vibrancy, you come to a peak of ecstasy, you come to a peak of bliss, and from that peak everything relaxes, your whole being relaxes.First the whole being vibrates with a new music - it is in tune with the cosmos, the ego is not there, you are just energy; there is nobody inside, just energy moving like a river in flood - and then the flood goes, the river relaxes, and you are in tune with the whole cosmos. The mind is always against surrendering. That is why as the mind has become more prominent, all dimensions of surrender have disappeared. This century suffers because this century cannot surrender. This is the problem. This is the basis, the crux of the modern mind - and you go on asking: How can I love? The mind cannot love. The mind can go to war, that is easy, but the mind cannot move into love, that is impossible. Because in a war the mind can exist, it can function well; but in love, the mind has to surrender.Love means giving power to the other over yourself, and you are afraid. It means the other becomes so important, so much more important than you that if a crisis comes you would sacrifice yourself for your lover. The lover is enthroned - you are just a servant, you are just a shadow. This is difficult for the mind. That is why love is not possible and even sex becomes impossible. Because even in sex a moment comes when you have to lose yourself - only then can the orgasm happen, only then can the whole body be filled with a new energy, with new vibrations, with bio-electricity. It can become a vibrant, radiant flow - you lose yourself. But even that is not possible.Ejaculation is not orgasm, it is just the physical part of it. Orgasm is psychic, it is spiritual. Ejaculation is just futile, it can relieve the body, that’s all. It works as a safety valve: when there is too much energy you can release it through ejaculation, but that is not the real thing. The real thing is when you come to a peak of vibrancy, you come to a peak of ecstasy, and from that peak everything relaxes, your whole being relaxes.First the whole being vibrates with a new music - it is in tune with the cosmos, the ego is not there, you are just energy; there is nobody inside, just energy moving like a river in flood - and then the flood goes, the river relaxes, and you are in tune with the whole cosmos. Then it is an orgasm. Orgasm is an inner phenomenon. But orgasm has become impossible and because of the lack of orgasm ninety per cent of the people are neurotic in a subtle way. This is because you have lost the easiest approach to the Divine. You have lost the natural possibility of being one, even for moments, with the Whole. And the Whole rejuvenates, the Whole gives you life and energy, the Whole refreshes you. And the old is destroyed by the orgasm, your whole energy becomes new, fresh and young. Otherwise you go on becoming dull and dead. But this has become impossible because of the ego. The problem is the same, whether it is in the dimension of sex, or of love, or of prayer, or of meditation - the problem is the same. You have to surrender, and the ego cannot surrender, it can only fight. After seeing Krishna’s opulence form Arjuna was at the peak of vibrancy, ecstasy, bliss, and from that peak everything in him relaxes, in the relaxation he surrenders.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 9.19

 29 April 2020

The Inner Rhythm of Being - In Gita Verse 9.19 O Arjuna, I give heat, and I withhold and send forth the rain. I am immortality, and I am also death personified. Both spirit and matter are in Me.Krishna is explaining us what Buddha said Continuum. Existence is Continuum. Look from scientific angle our entire body changes in 7 years. Noone can dispute it. Existences is whole body and it changes continuously, to which Buddha called Continuum.Look at the flame one disappears and other comes, look at a range of temperatures from freezing to boiling. Everything in the existences changes in character gradually or in very slight stages without any clear dividing points. What Krishna is saying Continuum is The Inner Rhythm of Being:Once in a while, even in ordinary life, it happens. You have those few moments when suddenly one day you wake up in the morning and everything seems to fit perfectly. The birds are singing, the air is fragrant, the sun is rising, and suddenly you feel that all is quiet. You are no longer separate for a moment...you feel a great joy arising in you for no reason at all. You suddenly feel vibrant, utterly rejuvenated, at home. Maybe the night’s deep sleep and rest, maybe the beautiful morning, the song of the birds, the fresh air, the dewdrops on the grass leaves shining in the early sun – all this created the context. Not by your effort, but just by accident you fell in harmony with yourself and with existence. And remember, it happens always together: whenever you fall in harmony with yourself, you fall in harmony with existence too.Harmony has two sides: the individual and the universal. If the individual is in harmony, then there is no reason why he should not be in harmony with the whole. If inside you all conflict has disappeared, even for a single moment, in that moment you are part of the whole, you are no longer an island, you are no longer separate. All walls have suddenly disappeared; you are no longer imprisoned. If you look back you can remember a few moments...and those will be the moments when you were relaxed, those will be the moments when there was no particular desire in your mind, when you were not worried, when you were not tense, when somehow you simply were.Watch these sudden accidental moments minutely, because there is the secret key. If it happens in a relaxed state, when you are very loose, non-tense, then you can create the context! You can relax. If it happens to you while swimming, then you can swim and create the context. If it happens to you while running...and it happens to different people in different ways. Many runners know it, that beyond a certain limit if you go on running, go on running, go on running, suddenly it happens then you can run and create the context. You cannot make it happen, but you can make yourself available for it to happen. You cannot force it to happen, but you can create all that is necessary for it to happen. It is not a doing on your part: it is a happening. But, still, you can play a great role. That’s how all techniques of meditation have been developed. That’s how Yoga came into existence. That accord is present in you, because without it you cannot be alive. That music is already there, flowing underground in you, because that music is your connection with the whole.Once it is cut you will be dead. You are alive – that is enough proof that the music is happening. The only thing is to go deep inside your own being and to find where it is happening.Krishna says - look at me, words are just dressings. I am consistent, my being is consistent. It cannot be otherwise – how can your being be inconsistent? There is no gap in the being, it is a continuum. But the mind starts thinking, comparing, and then problems arise.Once it happened…A disciple came to a Zen master and asked, “Why are a few people so intelligent and a few so stupid? Why are a few people so beautiful and a few so ugly? Why this inconsistency? If God is everywhere, and if he is the creator, then why does he create one ugly and another beautiful?” And the disciple said, “Don’t talk to me about karma. I have heard all those nonsensical answers – that because of karma, past lives, one is beautiful, another is ugly. I am not concerned with past lives. In the beginning, when there was no yesterday, how did the difference come? Why was one created beautiful and another ugly? And if everyone was created equal, equally beautiful and intelligent, how can they act differently, how can they have different karma?”The master said, “Wait! This is such a secret thing that I will tell you when everybody has left.” There were many people. So the man sat, eager, but people went on coming and going and there was no chance. But by the evening everybody had left so the man said, “Now…”The master said, “Come out with me.” The moon was coming up and the master took him to the garden and said, “Look, that tree there is so small, this tree here is so tall. I have been living with these trees for many years and they have never raised the question of why this tree is small and that tree is big. When there was a mind in me, I used to ask many times sitting under these trees, “Why is this tree small and that tree big?” Then my mind dropped, and the question dropped. Now I know. This tree is small and that tree is big; there is no problem. So look! There is no problem.”Krishna says - The mind compares. How can you compare when the mind is not? How can you say this tree is small and that tree is big? The mind drops, comparison drops. When there is no comparison the beauty of existence erupts. It becomes a volcanic eruption, it explodes. Then you see the small is big and the big is also small; then all contradictions are lost and the inner consistency is seen.Krishna is not interested in communicating something to us, he is interested in communion. Communication means Krishna’s mind talking to our mind. Communion means Krishna is not a mind, we are not a mind; just our heart meeting Krishna’s heart – no words.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 11.15

Own Understanding - In Gita Verse 11.15 Arjuna said: My dear Lord Kṛṣṇa, I see assembled in Your body all the demigods and various other living entities. I see Brahmā sitting on the lotus flower, as well as Lord Śiva and all the sages and divine serpents. Now what Krishna has told Arjuna, it has become his knowing, understanding. Till now it was all words. But now after seeing it it has become his own understanding.Knowledge is borrowed. Others know it; you believe they must be true. Wisdom comes through your own experience. Knowledge is an accumulation, wisdom is also an accumulation. But knowledge is an accumulation of others’ experiences; wisdom is an accumulation of your own experience. A young man can never be wise; he can be knowledgeable – because for wisdom, time is needed. Old people are wise because you have to pass through experiences. You can read many books on love and you can know much about love, what others have said about it, but to know love itself you will have to pass through experience – which is time-absorbing. By the time you know something about love, the youth, your young age, will have gone. You will be old, but wise.Old age is wise, youth can be knowledgeable. Wisdom is one’s own experience accumulated; knowledge is others’ experience accumulated by you. Then what is understanding? Understanding is non-accumulative. What difference does it make whether somebody else experienced and you believed, or you experienced and then you believed? That experience is of the past. It is no longer there, and you have changed so much – and everybody is changing every moment – that an old man who says, “In my youth I experienced this,” is talking about somebody else because he is no longer the same.Wisdom is a little closer than knowledge, but not very close. Understanding is non-accumulative; you don’t accumulate either others’ experiences or your own. You need not accumulate, you grow. Understanding is always fresh; wisdom is a little dusty and old, wisdom is always of the past, your own past. Knowledge is also of the past – of others’ pasts. But what difference does it make finally? Because your own past is as far away from you as others’ pasts; you are no longer the same. Every moment the river is flowing: says old Heraclitus, you cannot step in the same river twice.Your own youth – you cannot step in it twice. You have learned something from your experience, you carry it. Knowledge can be washed away, wisdom also. They can be brainwashed, completely wiped from your mind. Understanding can never be brainwashed, it is not part of the brain, it is non-accumulative. All that is accumulative is accumulated in the brain.Understanding is of your being, it cannot be washed away – you cannot brainwash a buddha. In fact he has brainwashed himself completely, he has cleaned his slate himself, how can you clean him? He is non-accumulative, he lives moment to moment. Through living his being grows. If through living your knowledge grows, it is wisdom; if through living your being grows, it is understanding – and if without living your accumulation grows, it is knowledge.Understanding is the real flowering of being. A man of understanding is mirror-like. A mirror carries nothing. A mirror always lives in the immediate present: whoever comes before it, it reflects. You ask me a question. The question can be answered through knowledge, that is, the experience of others. The question can be answered through wisdom, experience of my own. The question can be answered through understanding – then I am just a mirror, I simply respond. You ask, you come before my mirror, I simply respond. That’s why a man of understanding will always be felt contradictory, inconsistent, because what can he do? He does not carry the past, his answers are not coming from the past; his answers are coming right now this very moment from his being. And every moment the world is changing, it is a flux, so how can an old answer be given again? Even if the words appear to be old the answer cannot be old.Understanding is non-repetitive and non-accumulative. Wisdom is accumulative, repetitive; knowledge is accumulative, repetitive. Knowledge is sheer belief, wisdom has a little experience in it, understanding is totally different. It is your presence, your mirrorlike presence. It is a response.Old people can be wise, young people can be knowledgeable, only children can be understanding. That is the meaning when Jesus says, “Only those who are like children will be able to enter my Kingdom of God.”When you again become childlike, fresh, carrying no past, carrying no ready-made answers within you – carrying no answers, just a deep emptiness – then something echoes in you. Somebody asks a question… No answer comes from the memory, no answer comes from experience, but the answer is a response this very moment.Understanding is always of the now and here. Understanding is the most beautiful thing that can happen to a person. Drop knowledge, and then drop wisdom also. Don’t believe in others’ experiences and don’t believe in your own experiences either, because they are of the past. You have passed from there, they are no longer a part of existence – things have flowed on. The river has passed under a thousand and one bridges, and it is not the same river even if you see it flowing. It is not the same river, it is constantly changing.Except for change, everything is changing. Change is the only permanent factor in existence – so how can you rely on the past? If you rely, you will always miss the present.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 3.24
 Dhwani Shah
 30 September 2019

Prescribed Duty - In Gita Verse 3.24 If I did not perform prescribed duties, all these worlds would be put to ruination. I would be the cause of creating unwanted population, and I would thereby destroy the peace of all living beings.Krishna tells Arjuna that I also do my prescribe duty. He says that if I will not act my prescribe duty then everything will be affected.Right now keep aside Krishna, look into our life, even if maid who is helping us for our household work if she will not do her prescribed duty how much everyone in the get affected. Everything will be disturbed. From such a small incidence think that when you are not doing your prescribed duty how much everything around you will be affected. Whenever you come up for any excuses think twice because you have not done your duty so how much everything is affected around you. Take responsibility to do your prescribed duty and be total in your act. Never come up with any excuses for your failure but find out solution possibility to take responsibility of your prescribed duty.Once a man asked Buddha “What is the meaning of life?” Buddha simply exclaimed “Life has no meaning in itself but it is itself an opportunity to make it meaningful.”Once you create opportunity to be meaningful - you will find that instead of excuses you will be joyfully doing your prescribed duty.First let’s understand what Buddha says regarding meaning. So meaning is in the new. And if you want to be constantly meaningful, eternally meaningful, then you have to go on growing and growing and growing. If you are stuck anywhere, meaning immediately disappears. Meaning is not in being stuck, meaning is in flow, meaning is in evolving – so remember it. You can get stuck at love; then again meaning disappears, then again you become stale. Then the river is no more moving. Again you will become dirty, flow is lost. And when the river is flowing it is fresh, when the river is not flowing it becomes stagnant. The same is true about life. If you get stuck at love, again flow is lost. Again you are in a rut. Prayer is needed …and there are higher things than prayer. Prayer is the last that can be defined; prayer is the last that can be talked about – that too, not adequately, but very inadequately. But prayer is the last, the horizon. Not that on the horizon the earth stops; not that on the horizon the sky finishes. The horizon simply shows our limitation: our eyes cannot go beyond it, that’s all. Prayer is the horizon of the libido energy, but it is not the end. There are higher things than prayer, but words don’t exist for those things. When you reach to prayer then you will know that there are higher things than prayer, and growth is eternal.People are almost dead because they are stuck. They go on seeking the same thing again and again. Watch it. One should be in search of the new. The very search renews you, rejuvenates you. If you have some beautiful experience today, don’t ask again for it tomorrow because now it is meaningless – you have known it, it is finished. Ask for something more, seek for something new, grope for the unfamiliar and the unknown. Go beyond it. It was beautiful but don’t try to repeat it, because repetition kills beauty; repetition makes everything boring. And once you become accustomed to boredom you will become dead. Then you will go on revolving. What Krishna tells Arjuna that if you get stuck anywhere you will not be able to create opportunity for life to make meaningful. Words of Krishna and Buddha looks different but they are not. They direct us in the same destination, that is our Prescribe Duty. Once you create meaning, you will use your intelligence and from your subjectivity you will act, it will not be repetition, it will be fresh, new, and flow in your action. You (Arjuna) will be able to do your Prescribe Duty, the way in which I (Krishna) is doing.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 5.25

 29 December 2019

Empty Person - In Gita Verse 5.25 Those who are beyond the dualities that arise from doubts, whose minds are engaged within, who are always busy working for the welfare of all living beings and who are free from all sins achieve liberation in the Supreme.Krishna tells Arjuna that the person who has transcended duality they live in the objective world from their subjectivity. When the person has transcended duality all their actions are for existence they don’t live for their desire but as per existence's will.First let’s understand duality - Life exists through duality. The very process of life depends on polar opposites. Life is like a river: for the river to exist, two banks are needed. The river cannot exist without two banks to support it, just as the bird cannot fly without two wings and you cannot walk without two legs.Life needs duality. Everywhere you will find it, till the ultimate arrives. The ultimate, the absolute, or call it God, transcending duality. But then life disappears. Then you become invisible. Then you have no form, no name. Then you have gone beyond – that is nirvana. When the person transcended duality and gone beyond, through their body whatever they do is for the welfare of others, existences. Take the example of Krishna, he has transcended everything and still living tn the body he participated in everything whether in Gokul, Mathura, Dwarka or in Mahabharat war. He was living for the welfare of all living beings. Look to Guru Gobind Singh. To save the humanity for the conversion of religion compulsory by Aurangzeb, he fought with him. His fight with Aurangzeb was not as an individual but for the welfare of all living beings. These people when they act they are free of all the sins and achieve liberation in the Supreme. They live for existences. As we are now we need to understand two things. Life cannot exist without polar opposites. Life is a dialectical process between man and woman, between darkness and light, between life and death, between good and bad. Life cannot exist without this duality. Manifestation is not possible without duality.Hence, another vision becomes possible to be understood. If duality disappears, life as you know it disappears. Life in time and space disappears. Then another door opens. You move to another plane – the plane of the invisible, the plane of the mysterious, the plane where there is no form, no name. All remains, but unmanifest. That is called nirvana, moksha, the ultimate state of samadhi where all disappears. If duality is the way of life, then nonduality is the way of religion – because religion is nothing but an art of transcending the manifested form and going into the unmanifest, going to the original source from where we come and for which we long – because we belong there. Wherever we are, we cannot feel at home; something remains unfulfilled. We go on missing the original source because rest is only in the source.Let’s meditate over each word of Hakim Sanai:The pure man unites, two in one; the lover unites three in one.The Gnostic tradition says there are two paths to transcend duality, to transcend multiplicity, to transcend this constant conflict between life and death. The first path is called via purgativa by the Gnostics, “through purity”; and the second path is called via unitiva, “through unity.” The first is the path of meditation, the second the path of love. The first is Zen, the second is Sufism. On the path of meditation, one has to eliminate, one has to empty oneself totally. On the path of love, just the reverse process has to be followed – one has to become more and more full. One has to become so full that one starts overflowing. On the path of meditation, one has to become so empty that nothing remains within, one is just a pure nothingness. This is what Hakim Sanai says: The pure man unites two in one… The observer and the observed. The pure man means the man of meditation. The pure man means one who has been trying the path of via purgativa; who has been simply emptying himself of all that is foreign, and who goes on eliminating all that is not his essential self. And then nothing is left in the hand.Krishna tells Arjuna the person who has transcended duality is so empty that nothing is left in his hand. He is the vehicle of the universe to act for the welfare of all living beings and who are free from all sins achieve liberation in the Supreme. So when you fight war as empty person, then your act will be for the welfare of the living being and in that there is no sin.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 10.36

 17 June 2020

Be Gambler - In Gita Verse 10.36 I am also the gambling of cheats, and of the splendid I am the splendor. I am victory, I am adventure, and I am the strength of the strong.Krishna says that life is Gambling. In my Bhagavad Gita Verse 6.34, blog I wrote One never knows whether one will be able to make it or not. It is a gambling, but only the gamblers know what life is.Krishna says Put everything at the stake. Be a gambler!Risk everything, because the next moment is not certain, so why bother? Why be concerned? Live dangerously, live joyously. Live without fear, live without guilt. Live without any fear of hell, or any greed for heaven. Just live.Understand difference between Risk And Cleverness:You must be a hundred percent here, then work becomes possible. What to do? Your mind is cunning – clever, you call it, but it is cunning. It calculates, it cannot take a risk. That’s why you have been wandering for so many lives. You were near Buddha, you were near Jesus, you have seen Mohammed – you have seen many masters, but you bypass them just because of your cleverness. Your cleverness is your stupidity. Even with a Buddha you calculate – and what can you calculate? Life is such a mystery; it cannot be explained in terms of logic. And a person like Buddha is so mysterious that whatsoever you come to conclude will be wrong, and by the time you have concluded Buddha will have changed. By the time you have come to a decision, Buddha is not the same – because Buddha is a river, a river like phenomenon, flowing. Conclusion will take time, and you will miss.Religion is for those who are like gamblers, who can take risks. If you are not a gambler then something can happen, but if you are a businessman then nothing is possible. Be certain about your search. If you are really in search, then don’t be afraid. And Krishna says: even with a master who is false, Pseudo, you are not going to lose anything. Krishna says to you, life is the only truth there is. There is no other god than life. So allow yourself to be possessed by life in all its forms, colors, dimensions – the whole rainbow, all the notes of music. If you can manage this simple thing… It is simple because it is only a question of let-go. Don’t push the river, let the river take you to the ocean. It is already on the way. Relax, don’t be tense and don’t try to be spiritual. Don’t create any division between the matter and the spirit. Existence is one, matter and spirit are simply two sides of the same coin. Relax, rest, and go with the river.Be a gambler, don’t be a businessman, and you will know more of God because the gambler can risk. The gambler is non-calculative, he can put all that he has at stake. But the thrill of the gambler when he stakes everything and waits – what is going to happen now? At that very moment a window can open. That very moment can become a transformation of the inner gestalt.Be a drunkard, drunk with life, with the wine of existence. Don’t remain sober. The sober person remains dead. Drink the wine of life. It has so much poetry and so much love and so much juice. You can bring the spring in any moment. Just give a call to the spring and let the sun and the wind and the rain enter into you.Be courageous like a gambler. As courage Allows you to Live in the Present: This is the essence of courage. To allow the unknown future to take shape and be willing to move out of the mind and into the moment. So instead of trying to manipulate life to avoid uncertainty, simply take an innocent and gambling attitude instead. There are no guarantees here that things will go right, there is only danger and mystery, courage means to be willing to go forward nonetheless.Krishna says once you live the life as gambling ready to risk and put everything on the stack to grow in consciousness you will find me as your splendor and your inner strength.

MANTRI MARKU'S GOOD QUOTES

Bhagavad Gita Verse 4.19
 Dhwani Shah
 12 November 2019

Enlightenment - In Gita Verse 4.19 One is understood to be in full knowledge whose every endeavor is devoid of desire for sense gratification. He is said by sages to be a worker for whom the reactions of work have been burned up by the fire of perfect knowledge.Krishna is saying that unless you are totally free from desire to take action, don’t act. Like in my Bhagavad Gita Verse 4.18, blog I wrote how Tantra is transcending action into inaction.Let’s see the Tao’s approach also for how without any desire we can act.Tao has different approach - Tao means let go. Wherever your energy moves, allow it to move. Don’t swim — float with the river. Swimming is a technique — if you are just flowing with the river what technique is needed? Technique means that you have a direction, you want to reach somewhere. Technique means that you want to impose your will on reality, you want to be someone. somewhere, in some state; you have a desire, you have a projection.Tao says you are already there, you are already that. There is nowhere to go and nothing else to be, so just relax and let things happen. And whatsoever happens is good — because there is no denial in Tao, no rejection, no repression. It is the greatest rebellious attitude possible. Never has man’s intelligence risen higher than in Tao. But there is no way to it. You cannot be guided to it.Tao means let go. You cannot be guided to it.Tao has its own tantra. The first thing: Tao never divides into the lower and the higher, that is the beauty of it. The moment you divide reality into the lower and the higher you are getting schizophrenic. The moment you say something is sacred and something is profane you have divided. The moment you say something is material and something is spiritual you have divided, you have split reality. Reality is one. There is neither matter nor spirit. Reality is one. It expresses itself in many forms: on one level as matter, on another level as spiritual. The spiritual is not higher and the material is not lower — they stand on the same level. That is the Taoist attitude. Life is one. Existence is one. It is a tremendous oneness and there is no evaluation. The first thing in Tao is to drop duality. Sex is not lower and samadhi is not higher. Samadhi and sex are both expressions of the same energy. There is nothing laudable about samadhi and there is nothing condemnable about sex. The Tao acceptance is total, absolute. There is nothing wrong about the body and there is nothing beautiful about the spirit — they are both beautiful. Devil and God are one in Tao, heaven and hell are one in Tao, good and bad are one in Tao — it is the greatest non-dual understanding. There is no condemnation and no preparation. To prepare for what? One has simply to relax and be.If you can love a woman spontaneously…. In fact, Tao will say that Tantra has a wrong attitude, because you have to prepare. Preparation means that you are preparing for the future. Tao knows only one time — which is now; and only one place — which is here. Now is the only time and here is the only place. Here is heaven and now is nirvana. So don’t prepare.Depends upon individual nature, feminine or masculine. If your nature is feminine the adopt Tao’s approach, if your nature is masculine, adopt Tantra method. I am saying regarding nature and not body. You may be male and having feminine nature and you may be female and having masculine nature. Both the methods are good but what suits you practice that to act from desireless.Basic thing is take action without desire learn that, practice it.Krishna says unless one's action is desireless the cannot gain perfect knowledge, Enlightenment.

Srila Jayadev Goswami

Srila Jayadev GoswamiAll glories to Srila Jayadev Goswami, the author of the glorious Sri Gita Govinda, a masterpiece relished by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in Gambhira while he was tasting the most exalted mellow of madhurya rasa. This composition of his was extremely dear to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, for it supported and enhanced the moods of Srimati Radhika that he was relishing. Sri Gita Govinda is also very dear to Lord Jagannath, who once even came out of the altar and ran after a devadasi who was melodiously singing verses from this poetic work. The pujaris later saw that his clothes were torn and he had scratches on his divine form, doing to having followed the singer through thorny bushes, being so enraptured by the beautiful verses. Lord Jagannath is also offered special cloths with verses of Gita Govinda written on them, for he has unbounded love for Sri Gita Govinda. Sri Jayadev Goswami has very vividly described the intimate pastimes of Sri Sri Radha Krishna with the ashtapadis of unparalleled literary excellence and drenched in the highest mellows of sringar rasa. While composing, he would meditate upon the pastimes of the Lord and write what would be revealed to him in the core of his heart. Once, while thus being absorbed in the meditation upon Sri Radha Shyamsundar's pastimes, he say that Sri Krishna was placing his head in the lotus feet of his beloved. When this pastime appeared in the heart of Srila Jayadev Goswami, he could not believe how the Lord of the entire universe would place his head in the lotus feet of Srimati Radhika. Being bewildered, he went to take a bath in the nearby river when Sri Krishna himself came there in the form of Jayadev and wrote the verse with his very own hands. When Jayadev Goswami came back and saw the verse written, he could understand that Sri Krishna had himself come there and had written it, thus eradicating all doubts from his heart. The famous verses that Sri Krishna wrote with his own hands is:smara-garala-khandanammama sirasi mandanamdehi pada-pallavam udaramThe beautiful flower blossoms of Your feet counteract the deadly poison of amorous love. They extinguish the terrifying fire of the pain of that love, which rages within My heart. Therefore, please be kind and allow Your feet to decorate My head.Such is the glory of this book, that Sri Krishna himself came and wrote a verse in this book. This pastime took place in Champahati, where Srila Jayadev Goswami was residing with his wife Padmavati, who was an expert singer and dancer of Gita Govinda, and who had the good fortune of feeding Sri Krishna foodstuffs that she had prepared, when he came there in the form of Jayadev Goswami to write the above verse.Today is the holy disappearance day of the same Srila Jayadev Goswami, whose Sri Gita Govinda gave transcendental pleasure to Sri Sachinandan Gaurhari and assisted him in tasting the moods of Srimati Radhika, and which is also supremely dear to Sri Jagannath dev. May Srila Jayadev Goswami bless us with the qualification to some day read Sri Gita Govinda and serve the divine couple in the pastimes that have been described in this glorious esoteric book, which can only be relished by those who have awakened deep love for Sri Krishna by following in the footsteps of the Vrajadevis.

THE SOUL AND THE HEART LOVE

Bhagavad Gita Verse 7.10
 Dhwani Shah
 22 February 2020

Original Seed - In Gita Verse 7.10 O son of Pṛthā, know that I am the original seed of all existence, the intelligence of the intelligent, and the prowess of all powerful men.Now Krishna is introducing himself. It is the toughest job. Imagine when you want to introduce yourself how much difficulty you face. Wholeness of Krishna cannot be said in the words. He is saying something which cannot be said. So he tells where his presence in tangible as intangible. He says that I am the seed of all existences means I am always present, omnipresent, but unless the seed dies as seed then only through the process of growth, in that liveliness you will experience me.Krishna is telling I am present in your intelligence if you want to experience me in your intelligence then become alive through your alertness. In that aliveness you will find your own Godliness, in that Godliness you find God, Krishna, Whole.Become more and more alive, authentic, responsive. Even if there is a possibility to go astray, go astray, because there is no way to grow if you are so afraid of committing errors. Errors are good. Mistakes have to be committed. Never commit the same mistake again, but never be afraid of committing mistakes. People who become so afraid of committing mistakes never grow. They go on sitting in their place, afraid to move. They are not alive. If you are alive there is inconvenience. If you are alive there are challenges. If you are alive then every moment you have to face reality, encounter reality.Every moment you have to be ready to change and to move. Reality has no security and that is its beauty. Life has no security and that is its beauty. Because there is no security, there is adventure. Because the future is unknown, nobody knows what is going to happen the next moment. In this mystery you will have a glimpse of the whole, we call it Gap, as your unclouded consciousness. In that moment you will know through your intelligence presence of God, Krishna, Whole. That’s why there is challenge, growth, adventure. If you miss adventure, you miss all. If your life is not that of an adventure, of a search into the unknown, then you are living in vain.Krishna is introducing himself to encourage us to cross the bridge of known to unknown, tangible to intangible.Man is a bridge between the known and the unknown. To remain confined in the known is to be a fool. To go in search of the unknown is the beginning of wisdom. To become one with the unknown is to become the awakened one, the buddha.Remember again and again that man is not yet a being; he is on the way, a traveler, a pilgrim. He is not yet at home, he is in search of the home. One who thinks that he is at home is a fool, because then the search stops, then the seeking is no longer there. And the moment you stop seeking and searching, you become a stagnant pool of energy, you start stinking. Then you only die, you don’t live at all.Life is in flowing, life is in remaining a river because only the river will reach the ocean. If you become a stagnant pool then you are going nowhere. Then you are not really alive. The fool does not live, he only pretends to live. He does not know, he only pretends to know. He does not love, he only pretends to love. The fool is a pretension. The wise lives, the wise loves, the wise inquires. The wise is ready, always ready, to go into the uncharted sea. The wise is adventurous; the fool is afraid. When Buddha uses the word fool you have to remember all these meanings of the word. It is not the ordinary meaning that Buddha gives to the word fool. For him, the fool means one who lives in the mind and knows nothing of the no-mind; one who lives in information, knowledge, and has not tasted anything of wisdom; one who lives a borrowed life, imitative, but knows nothing of anything that arises in his own being.By “the fool” Buddha means one who is well acquainted with the scriptures, but has not tasted a single moment of truth. He may be a great scholar, very learned; in fact, fools are scholars; they have to be because that is the only way to hide their foolishness. Fools are very learned people; they have to be, because it is only through learning words, theories, philosophies, that they can hide their inner ignorance, that they can hide their emptiness, that they can believe they also know.Every moment be alert, be alive, be flow and you will have understanding and experience what Krishna is saying about himself.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.22
 Dhwani Shah
 19 July 2019

Life Is Change - In Gita Verse 2.22 As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones.In this verse Krishna is speaking about the law of Change.Misery arises because we don't allow change to happen. We cling, we want things to be static. If you love a woman you want her tomorrow too, the same way as she is yours today. That´s how misery arises. Nobody can be certain about the next moment – what to say about tomorrow?A man of awareness knows that life is constantly changing. Life is change. There is only one thing permanent, and that is change. Except change, everything else changes. To accept this nature of life, to accept this changing existence with all its seasons and moods, this constant flow that never stops for a single moment, is to be blissful. Then nobody can disturb your bliss. It is your hankering for permanency that creates troubles for you. If you want to live a life with no change – you are asking the impossible.A man of awareness becomes courageous enough to accept the changing phenomena. In that very acceptance is bliss. Then all is good. Then you are never frustrated.Fear of Change:Every change creates fear, because every change is putting you into the unfamiliar, into a strange world. If nothing changes and everything remains static, you will never have any fear. That means, if everything is dead, you will not be afraid. For example, you are sitting down and there is a rock lying down. There is no problem: you will look at the rock, and everything is okay. Suddenly the rock starts walking; you become frightened. Aliveness! Movement creates fear; and if everything is unmoving, there is no fear. That’s why people, afraid of getting into fearful situations, arrange a life of no change. Everything remains the same and a person follows a dead routine, completely oblivious that life is a flux. He remains in an island of his own making in which nothing changes. The same room, the same photographs, the same furniture, the same house, the same habits, the same slippers – everything the same. The same brand of cigarettes; even a different brand you won’t like. Between this, amidst this sameness, one feels at ease.People live almost in their graves. What you call a convenient and comfortable life is nothing but a subtle grave. So when you start changing, when you start on the journey of inner space, when you become an astronaut of the inner space, and everything is changing so fast, every moment is trembling with fear. So more and more fear has to be faced.Let it be there. By and by you will start enjoying the changes so much that you will be ready at any cost. Change will give you vitality...more aliveness, zest, energy. Then you will not be like a pond...closed from everywhere, not moving. You will become like a river flowing towards the unknown, and towards the ocean where the river becomes lost.Arjuna when coming up with all his logical arguments clearly indicates that he got afraid of change. He wanted to live same miserable life. He wanted to live the life which was dictated by Kauravas. Their entire life they lived a life which was dictated by Kauravas.Recollect your life incidence when you were afraid of change you were not ready to move, so much of suffocation of physical, mental and emotional. For you life of slavery was okay than a life of freedom.Krishna is telling Arjuna to allow the change, which is only on the surface , your soul, your subjectivity needs freedom. They are unchangeable. Give up life which is dictated by others. Allow the Change.

Makar Sankranti

Art

The auspicious day of Makar Sankranti which falls in the Krishna paksha of Magha maas, in the month of January, is considered a very auspicious day, and marks the entering of the sun into the sign of Capricorn or ‘Makar’. Although in ancient times all Sankrantis were observed and celebrated, Makar sankranti is of special importance, as it also marks the beginning of the auspicious six month period of Uttarayan, the Sannyasa thithi of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and also the descent of the river Ganges on this earthly planet. After the war on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, when Bhishma dev was lying on a bed of arrows and was about to leave his body, at that time he was waiting for the sun to enter into Uttarayan, as it is considered to be an auspicious time, and therefore it may be understood that he left his body on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti while beholding the beautiful face of Lord Krishna in the holy place of Kurukshetra which is also known as Dharmakshetra. This glorious day also marks the descent of mother Ganges on this earthly planet, after the austere penances performed by King Bhageerath with the aspiration to free his ancestors from the curse of Kapila rishi, who, at being falsely accused by the sixty thousand sons of King Sagar for stealing the sacrificial horse actually stolen by indra, cursed them to go to the Nether regions. After being pacified by their prayers, he proclaimed that the only way for their salvation would be if the river Ganges would descend from the heavenly planets and come down to the earth and upto the nether regions, then by being purified by her they shall be freed from the curse. After the austere penances of King Bhageerath, the most purifying Mother Ganges came down to the earth on the day of Maker Sankranti, and this descent of hers is celebrated till today in the form of Ganga Sagar Mela, when numerous pilgrims go to the Sagar islands in West Bengal and bathe in the holy confluence of the Ganga with the ocean.Another significant event that took place on this day was the acceptance of the Sannyas order of life by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu for the purpose of preaching and propagating the path of devotional service and delivering all the fallen conditioned souls in this age of Kali. It was on this day that he left behind his widowed mother and young wife in Mayapur, and in the village of Katwa he renounced his Grhast ashram and accepted Sannyas from Shri Keshava Bharati, shaving his beautiful locks of hair and donning saffron cloths. Although, being the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one of his opulence is that he is the most renounced and therefore there was no need for him to accept the renounced order of Sannyas, yet seeing the faultfinding nature of the people and understanding that if he would accept the life of a renunciant then the general populace would be able give him the proper respect and refrain from committing offences at his lotus feet, he decided to take sannyas. Thereafter he inundated the entire universe with Krishna Bhakti and it is due to his causeless mercy alone that we are able to today tread the path of devotion under the guidance and following in the footsteps of his followers.anarpita-carīṁ cirāt karuṇayāvatīrṇaḥ kalausamarpayitum unnatojjvala-rasāṁ sva-bhakti-śrīyamhariḥ puraṭa-sundara-dyuti-kadamba-sandīpitaḥsadā hṛdaya-kandare sphuratu vaḥ śacī-nandanaḥMay that Lord who is known as the son of Śrīmatī Śacīdevī be transcendentally situated in the innermost core of your heart. Resplendent with the radiance of molten gold, He has descended in the Age of Kaliby His causeless mercy to bestow what no incarnation has ever offered before: the most elevated mellow of devotional service, the mellow of conjugal love. This auspicious day also marks the appearance day of Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami. Gopal Bhatta Goswami was one of the six goswamis of Vrindavan, who were dear associates of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and were residing in Vraja to fulfill his desire of manifesting the holy pastime places of Shyamsundar and writing transcendental literatures on the sublime topics of Bhakti. The son of Vyenkata Bhatta and the nephew of Srila Prabhodananda Saraswati, the author of the masterpiece Sri Vrindavan Mahimamrita, Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami stayed with his parents, who were great devotees of the Sri Sampradaya, and served them till they stayed on this planet earth, in accordance with the instructions of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. After the departure of his parents, Gopal Bhatta went to Sri Vrindavan Dham and stayed there in the association of Srila Rupa and Sanatan Goswami. Before going to Vrindavan, he went to the Gandaki river and there eleven Shilas came into his bathing pot while he was taking a dip in the sacred river. Not certain of whether he should take them along with him or not, he put them back in the river. However, when the same Shillas came twice more in his lota, he understood it to be the desire of the Lord that he should worship them, and therefore he took them with him and continued worshiping them while residing under various trees in Vrindavan.Once, when a wealthy devotee came to Vraja and was offering various beautiful clothes and jewelry for the deities of the different Goswamis and also gave him beautiful ornaments and dresses, Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami lamented not being able to beautifully decorate the three-fold bending gorgeous form of the Lord, as his worshipable Shillas were all round and did not show the divine bodily features of the Lord. Thinking in this way he went to sleep, and to his utter surprise, in the morning, one of the Shillas had transformed into a deity of Tribhang lalita Shyamsundar. Being the combined form of Sri Madanmohan, Sri Govinda and Sri Gopinath, with his tapering thighs and lotus feet resembling those of Madanmohan, his slender waist and broad chest appearing just like that of Govinda, and his lotus face, oozing nectar, was as splendid as that of Sri Gopinath, Radha Raman was exceedingly beautiful and captivating. Seeing the spellbinding form of the Lord, Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami was overwhelmed with transcendental ecstasy and along with the other goswamis, he performed a grand appearance festival of Sri Radha Raman, after which he decorated his divine form with the ornaments and clothes that he had received. Indeed, Sri Radha Raman had appeared in this most enchanting form just for the pleasure of Gopal Bhatta Goswami, as the desire of his pure devotee is surely fulfilled by the Lord.Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami authored the Vaishnava Samskara book named Sri Satkriya Sar Deepika and also assisted Srila Sanatan Goswami with Sri Hari Bhakti Vilas. After having stayed in Sri Vrindavan Dham for the rest of his present lilas in this material world, he entered the eternal pastimes of Sri Sri Radha Raman in the nikunjas of Sridham Vrindvan, where he served them as Sri Guna Manjari. Some Vaishnavas including Srila Kavi Karnapura, the author of Sri Gaur Ganadesh Deepike, are of the opinion that Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami is Sri Ananga Manjari in Krishna Lila, and therefore he can be understood to be both Sri Guna Manjari and Sri Ananga Manjari. On this auspicious day we pray to him to bestow his mercy upon us so that we may develop pure love for Radharaman and all the vaishnavas. The Krishna tritiya in the month of Magha also marks the disappearance day of Srila Ramachandra Kaviraj, the disciple of Srinivas acharya and dear friend of Srila Narottam das thakur. Born in the town of Sarajani in the family of Sunanda and Chiranjiv Sen, he was the elder of two brothers, who were both great devotees of the Lord. Due to his poetic expertise, he was blessed with the title Kaviraj by Srila Jiva goswami and other vaishnavas in Vrindavan, who were all very pleased with his compositions in the glorification of the Lord. May Srila Ramachandra Kaviraj, who is karuna manjari in Golok Vrindavan, shower his karuna(mercy) upon us and bless us with Krishna bhakti.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.14

 11 July 2019

Non-Doer - In Gita Verse 2.14 O son of Kuntī, the nonpermanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, O scion of Bharata, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed. In this verse Krishna says that just allow everything to pass, definitely when winter is there we feel cold and in summer we feel hot but don’t get disturbed by it, allow it to pass through you everything, without any resistance. In winter we need to wear woolen and in summer we need to wear cotton, then wear it, but if you resist the winter by not wearing woolens you create trouble for yourself. In the summer if you continue to wear woolen then also you will create trouble for yourself. As season changes in total acceptance if you change your clothes you will not create any trouble or disturbance. On the contrary you will be able to focus on your present moments act and assignment.Recollect incidence in your life if you are thirsty and don’t drink water then how emotionally you get disturbed and in this disturbance you will not be able to focus on what you need to do or act in that moment.Misery arises because we don't allow change to happen. We cling, we want things to be static. If you love a woman you want her tomorrow too, the same way as she is yours today. That´s how misery arises. Nobody can be certain about the next moment – what to say about tomorrow?Religion says: That which is, allow it to happen. All that you can do is: Please don’t disturb, just allow it to happen. Remain alert and passive and then there is no need to come to me – I will come to you. Many times I have already reached you – whenever you were silent. So this is not a theory; many of you even know it from experience, but you interpret this also.Don’t interpret. When you feel the presence, allow it to happen. If you allow it to happen, it will materialize more and more. It is possible and your questions will be answered. Be more meditative and then you are nearer to universe. Once you are totally meditative you are universe. Then there is no difference. One more thing is : the more you meditate, the less there will be to be asked. Questions will drop, because questions belong to a non-meditative state of mind. They arise in a non-meditative state more and more. One question is answered, ten more arise out of the answer. Mind is a great question-creating force. It goes on creating questions. You give the answer and the mind jumps on it, tears it down, and creates ten more questions. When you are meditative, less and less questions will be there. This will look paradoxical to you, but it is true. When there are questions there will be no answers; when there is no question the answer is there. The answer comes only when you are not questioning. Non-questioning will happen to you through meditation.Don’t think that there are as many answers as there are questions. No, there is only one answer. Questions are millions, the answer is one. Diseases are millions, medicine is one. Only one – and all is solved. But that one cannot happen to you because you don’t allow it to happen. You are so afraid of allowing anything to happen. This has to be learned. This is the only discipline – losing your fear, dropping your fear, and allowing things to happen. The river is flowing; don’t push it! There is no need, it is flowing by itself. You just wait on the bank and let it flow. If you are courageous enough, then drop yourself in the river and flow with it. Don’t swim, because swimming means fighting – just float. When religion says allow it to happen and become passive simply means that be natural. If you are thirsty drink water, if you are hungry eat, if you are sleepy sleep, don’t hinder , allow. This is passive act, non-doer.Krishna tells Arjuna don’t resist your assignment of universe, Fight Without Enmity. Be Non-Doer.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.60
 Dhwani Shah
 25 August 2019

Total Aliveness - In Gita Verse 2.60 The senses are so strong and impetuous, O Arjuna, that they forcibly carry away the mind even of a man of discrimination who is endeavoring to control them.Krishna talks that how we are living in objective world is simply using our impulsive mind which is not allowing you to use your own intelligence, you will be anxious and hyper, you will lose your discrimination to be self-alert. Unless you are self-alert your action cannot be in alignment with the divine.Your truth can be alive only if it comes through alertness, not through precepts and principles. Each moment, you have to be alert in order to be true. Truth is not a principle; it is something born out of your alertness. Non-violence is not a principle; if you are mindful, you cannot be violent. But, that is difficult. You have to transform yourself. It is easy to live according to principles, rules and regulations. Then you need not worry about being more alert and aware; you can follow the principles. Then you are just like a railway train running on the tracks. Those tracks are your principles. You are not afraid because you cannot miss the path. Really, you don't have any path; you have just iron rails on which your train is running. You will reach the destination, you need not be afraid. You will be asleep and the train will reach it. It is running on dead paths. But, practice says that life is not like that, it is more like a river. It is not running on iron rails. The path has not even been charted before. As the river flows, the path is created. The river will reach the sea, and this is how life should be. Life is like a river. There is no precharted way; there are no maps to be given to you which are to be followed. Just be alive and alert, and then, wherever life leads, you go with full confidence in it. Trust in the life force. Allow it to lead you towards the sea.Just be alert, that is all. While life leads you towards the sea, just be alert so that you don't miss anything. If you are alert, this life will be bliss. The very movement of the river is bliss in itself. Passing through the valleys, through the rocks, falling down from the hills, moving into the unknown is itself bliss. The river is not simply going to meet the sea, it is "growing" to be the sea, and this is possible only through rich experience, alert experiences, moving, trusting. This is the human search. Of course, it is dangerous. If rivers could be run through predetermined paths, there would be less danger, fewer errors. But the whole beauty of aliveness would be lost.Krishna tells Arjuna when you are passing through all your circumstances move with total awareness. If you will move in self-awareness you will not become impulsive, anxious, hyper etc. Instead of that your act will be the result of your silence. When you act from your silence means God is acting through your body.Remember, God has no voice except silence. He never says anything. There is nothing to say; there is no verbal communication. But that silence, that utter silence, gives you clarity, gives you light and makes you capable of moving rightly. Not that it gives any directions, not that it gives you any maps, not that it supplies you any guides – nothing of the sort. It simply gives you eyes to see your path. And then you start moving in life with eyes. Ordinarily you are moving blind. A blind man needs guides , a blind man needs voices , a blind man needs maps. A man who has eyes needs nothing.God comes to you as silence. God IS silence. Remember it: only trust silence and nothing else – otherwise you will get trapped by the mind again and again. And to be trapped by the mind is to be in misery. To be free of the misery is to know what bliss is, is to know what benediction is.So, Krishna says to Arjuna become self-aware and move like a river, which has no predetermined path, but trust and self-awareness to merge into the ocean. In your total aliveness, alertness you will be able to fight the war.

A Legal Notice for My Husband: Leaving Home with a Heart Full of Love, a Bag Full of Books & Chocos
 Mishika Chawla
 5 January 2020

“Marriages and romances, that looks beautiful in stories, have been a painful affair for many in real life as many Indian brides have to go through and adjust with a sacred agreement laying down different ways to torture a daughter-in law.” In simple words, this act lays down the clever ways to torture/control a daughter-in-law.Something against which you cannot file a case as there is no court in India that will address vulgar harassment done to daughter-in-law under the veil of laughter; monetary and emotional losses incurred on the account of rumours & harassment done using humour to abuse the girl.“Laughter is the best way to harass a daughter-in-law; the great part is that you can sexually harass a girl by using wit. The sweetest/ tragic part of the story is that she cannot fight a legal case against her in-laws/ husband; if they are using wit/ humour to mock her or harass her or dominate her or to make her feel inferior on emotional and financial fronts.”Amidst these social tensions, I saw an interesting video in which a guy is marrying a hologram, giving rise to romance in virtual world as his relations with women in real life were painful. His name is Dan Ini Akihiko who married Hatsune Miku, a hologram. Miku is a simple form of artificial intelligence; pretty doll like image projection that have a beautiful voice; performs at concerts as a 3-D projection. Akihiko created Miku to have virtual romance and share some interesting conversations as his real life relations with women were painful.I came across this piece of information while doing my research on Artificial Intelligence, this linked me back to my poem “Indian Men Should Marry Alexa”, that I have written a year ago.” I was always of an opinion that Indian Men Should Marry Alexa/ Robots, after seeing the amazing non-verbal ways, that can’t be proved in court, which in-laws and husbands in Indian society use to torture their daughter-in-law.As per the “Daughter-In-Law Harassment Act, 18xx”, which is a sacred non-verbal agreement between the mother and the son to mentally torture their daughter-in-law and that too by making fun of her. In laughter, you will get to know that you are being harassed /tortured while you won’t be able to file a case against them.“Laughter is the best way to harass a daughter-in-law. You can easily be vulgar with your daughter-in-law or the new bride in the home and hide it under the veil of laughter.”The good part for the in-laws is that it can’t be proved in any court; these insults are covered under the veil of humour which is the sweetest way to sexually abuse and kill a daughter-in-law emotionally and mentally. They are alive but are not able to live; the death can’t be proved in any court as it is not real death, it is the death of a person on emotional and mental front.  Death of her dreams, death of her self-confidence and death of her choice to have her own life.Insulting daughter-in-law is a common affair in Indian society. It starts from the very first day of the wedding; when she eats her first dinner with her husband and new family. There she learns that she will be exposed to vulgar comments for all her life and she has to manage with it.After that marriage vulgarity gets normal affair; get-togethers and office parties wherever she will go the vulgar relatives & friends of her husband will follow her. This indirect harassment; comes out to a pain in long run which she ignored in the very beginning of the marriage. This slowly leads to her low confidence levels, increased stress levels, unnecessary arguments, poor relationships, slavery, sadness, depression and a time comes wherein she start feeling less than others or give herself to mediocrity leaving behind the dreams that she had for her life.  The amazing part is that this sort of ‘Haaa Haaa Haaa way of Sexual & Mental Harassment’ can’t be reported under ‘Indian Law’. There is not even any NGO that will address this issue; because it is not an issue till now in our country. Even if women feel bad about such vulgar comments given in family gatherings; nobody bothers to express themselves. As they live their lives being speechless since the Indian civilisation has came into existence.’Women often feel sad because of this ‘Haaa Haaa Haaa way of Sexual & Mental Harassment’, one which is done using laughter.’ Usually, a girl resigns to this treatment accepting it to be a part of her married life and suppress the fact that she feels bad, suffocated and frustrated when she is insulted in this way for a long time, a feeling that starts seriously bothering women after the initial 6 or 7 years of married life have passed away; that is the point when she feels depressed about the lack of love in her married life & the humorous insults have now taken a bitter form and are no longer of ‘Haa Haa nature’.Now, she has a child, she has no career as she left her job ages back and she is lazy enough to fight back. She resigns to live with the insults in her home with her unloving husband and in-laws as there is no easy way she can find to save herself from the rules of “Daughter-In-Law Harassment Act, 18xx” & her own lack of will to change her circumstances as it will demand hard work on emotional, mental and physical front. This is an ordinary case, where Indian women resign to slavery and unjust behaviour on part of in-laws, relatives, neighbours and her husband. However, there could be another case wherein a girl, decides to leave her husband in a year of marriage as she do not want to tolerate this ‘Haaa Haaa Haaa way of Sexual & Mental Harassment’. Because she knows that her husband cannot stop his parents, relatives and friends from insulting her. At the same time, he won’t leave his family for her. Thus, the girl moves away with a heart full of love, a bag full of books, her favourite dresses, chocolates, yum grilled cheese sandwich and an air ticket to explore a new place leaving a legal notice for her husband who didn’t respected her love. A happy divorce, wherein she knows that love in her heart, will help her to sail smoothly in the sea of the real difficulties that she will land into after the divorce.Unlike Dan Ini Akihiko, she kept her love for life in her heart, so that she does not feel the need to fall in love with Miku: a romance in Virtual Reality. She felt the importance of being a human; the difference between a robot and a human is emotions. In the era heading towards Artificial Intelligence (AI), she kept the love for life in her heart. Her simple act of her happy divorce and leaving her in-laws home with a heart full of love, a bag full of books, her favourite dresses, chocolates, yum grilled cheese sandwich and an air ticket to explore a new place leaving a legal notice for her husband who didn’t respected her love was a simple way she thought to move out from the age-old ritual of adjusting to the “Daughter-In-Law Harassment Act, 18xx”, creating an example for many other daughter-in-laws to leave their unhappy marriages with a heart full of love, a bag full of books, her favourite dresses, chocolates, yum grilled cheese sandwich and an air ticket to explore a new place and a legal notice to the husband who didn’t respected her love. This attitude is the best way to deal with the “Daughter-In-Law Harassment Act, 18xx”, which lays the foundation for harassing women in the name of marriage, without begging in front of Indian Judiciary; wherein the cases of women suppression are already piled up. There is no one to address the concern. It would be better that she herself find a solution instead of finding romance in Virtual Reality. She found a solution by finding love in her heart; with a mind that have dreams for her new tomorrow and a body that can work hard to make those dreams real.More from the Author:Indian Men Should Marry Alexahttps://storymirror.com/read/poem/english/rulrawqf/indian-men-should-marry-alexa/detail?fbclid=IwAR1UAHJF49J2kkVn8ju3lGcZX9ISYPahkuy47hmeP8Y7rNaMYnVZKu_iOiE

What Is Dahabiya

When it comes to River Nile cruises, most people know about the large cruise boats and feluccas, some people know about yachts, but few people know anything about dahabiyas, which take their name from the Arabic word for gold: dahab (the earliest form of this boat was golden coloured). This is rather ironic as the dahabiya was the mode of transport, on the Nile, long before the modern day diesels, or the steamers made famous by Agatha Christie's "Death on the Nile".The dahabiya is a (usually) two-masted sailing boat that relies on wind power: it has no engines except for a generator that makes electricity. This gives it something that is in very short supply nowadays: silence! Sailing on a dahabiya allows the sound of the river splashing against the boat on of the only sounds you will hear, along with the singing of the birds (and the diesels in the distance). You can relax and imagine yourself as one of the aristocrats or elite travellers during the days of the monarchy, or even a member of the monarchy, as this is how they used to negotiate the river. Elegance and style, that is what they were built for; four to ten cabins, fully equipped bathrooms, elaborate furnishings, and servants to do everything. Nowadays it is very similar, though more modern and with the necessities of today, with electricity, Wi-Fi, showers, etc.The history of the dahabiya goes back to the Pharaonic times: there are inscriptions of very similar boats in the tombs of ancient Egyptian Kings and Nobles. Famous Egyptian leaders, such as King Farouk and President Sadat, had their own dahabiyas and the English novelist, journalist, traveller and Egyptologist, Emilia Edwards, even had a piano installed on hers. Aristocrats loved them, especially as the journey could take up to two or three months to complete, stopping at all the sights between Cairo and Abu Simbel (no Aswan High Dam in those days), with the whole trip being one of pure decadence and style.Sadly, the end of the monarchy also signalled the end of the dahabiya! Steam power was the rage, soon to be overtaken by gasoline and/or diesel engines. However, the dahabiya was not forgotten, and very soon, amongst all the large cruise boats sailing up and down the River Nile, the two masts of the dahabiya slowly started to re-emerge. Visitors were starting to realise that the peace and tranquillity that they sought, could be found. As well as that, the shallower draft meant that these boats could sail closer to the many islands dotted along the river, giving access to places like Gebel El Silsila; out of bounds for the heavier cruise boats. This also allows for experiences like dinner in front of the "Speos of Horemheb": an illuminated meal that you will never forget, and all thanks to the dahabiya's shallower draft and smaller passenger capacity. The other huge advantage with being able to snuggle up to these smaller islands is that the River Nile now becomes your swimming pool. You can dive and swim to your heart's content, or sit back and watch the frolicking of others from the sands of the island.During its journey the dahabiya will stop to collect supplies of food, either from riverside markets, or directly from local farmers and gardeners: everything is fresh and cooked as required. Frozen food? Forget it! Throughout the day mineral water and tea are available, as well as cups of strong Turkish coffee, karkade (hibiscus), or fresh fruit juice. You can even savour some local beer and wine.Imagine being lulled to sleep by the gentle lapping of the waves, only interrupted by the call of a bird. This is night time on a dahabiya! Serene nights; peaceful days; silent sailing; total relaxation; and all available today, as it was almost 100 years ago.Although we use the spelling "dahabiya", it can also be spelled as: dahabeeya, zahabiya, dahabeyya, dahabiah, dahabiyah, dhahabiyya, dahabiyeh, dahabieh, dahabeah, and dahabeya.Book Dahabiya Nile Cruise from here: Dahabiya Nile Cruise | Luxury Nile Cruises | Dahabiya

Everything You Need to Know about Your London Trip on Budget, 2020 Travel Guide
 Jone Smith
 25 January 2020

London is a frequent stop on most backpacking trips, European vacations or a two-week vacation. You can get flights to London from any big in the world. Everyone wants to visit London. London is a big name. How can you not go right? The city grows on you. The more you go to London, the more miracles you see. There is always something new to do. The only problem with London is that it is very expensive; can consume your budget if you are not careful.Fortunately, there are plenty of free or cheap things to do in London. This London guide will help you make the most of your visit with a limited budget. The first step is to take cheap airline ticketsand then the following.Go for Museum HoppingLondon has more museums than you could see during one visit, and many are free. From Tate to the City Museum, National Gallery and Historical Museum, you'll be able to spend days here without spending a penny! The Museum of Natural History contains over 80 million items, including specimens collected by Charles Darwin. It also has a great collection of fossils, making it a fun and educational stop if you're traveling with children. The Victoria and Albert Museum (named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert) is another favorite of mine. It is home to over 2,000 works of art covering over 3,000 years of human history.Go to Borough Market for FoodWith more food stalls than you can imagine, Borough Market has something for everyone. It is home to some of the best British and international products and dishes. Come here hungry and leave happy. Have you eaten? Pluck free samples distributed at most stands. Open for lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays, all day from Wednesday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. If you are already taken cheap airline tickets then you can save more money by getting food from this market.Explore Covent GardenCovent Garden is a pleasant place to hang out with lots of bizarre stalls, musicians, the art market and many unusual pubs and cafes. Covent Garden is just a short walk from all the great musicals, so it's the perfect place to spend a few hours before watching the program. Also, visit Covent Garden Market - it opened in the 1830s and is another good market where you can eat something and also shop at some craft stalls here. It is open from Monday to Saturday from 8 to 19 and Sunday from 11 to 17.Tate ModernTate Modern, located in the former Bankside Power Station on the south bank of the River Thames, is one of the city's most-liked attractions. You can enjoy the permanent collection, which includes works by Pollock, Warhol, Matisse, and Picasso, for free. The cafe upstairs has great views of the River Thames, and the building itself is amazingNational GalleryThe National Gallery, which houses masterpieces of painters, including van Gogh, Renoir, da Vinci, and Michelangelo, is home to one of the most impressive art collections in the world. More than six million visitors visit it every year. Avoid hordes by visiting weekdays or Friday evenings. Regardless of the time, permanent collections are always free.Take a Walking TourLondon is a megacity filled with a huge number of walking tours. From free tours to specialized tours, paid tours, literary tours, and eccentric tea tours, London has everything - including many free tours. Free London tours and New York walking tours are some of my favorite businesses. If you are looking for more detailed and specific trips, check out Take Walks. They have many inexpensive group trips for 15 people or less, which last about three hours. The only thing is getting into the city and flights to London are radially available, be wise and make your decision right to spend least on getting into London.Changing of GuardsOne of the best ceremonies in the city, Changing of the Guard takes place every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 11 am in front of Buckingham Palace. Dressed in bearskin hats and red tunics, the Queen's Guard approaches the rhythm of the music in a show of incredible spectacle as they change responsibilities.London DungeonLondon Dungeon calls itself "the most famous horror in the world." It covers 2000 years of London's horrible history and is a morbid but interesting museum that lets you see England's past. Although you will learn about popular torture methods in Old England, to be honest, this place has become more of an "amusement park" attraction. But if you like things like escape rooms and scary boat rides, you'll love itConclusion: Enjoy the best of London with a limited budget and as mentioned earlier, consider cheap airline tickets to save more money to spend once you are in London. You can then have the best things to do for less to affordable London nightlife or essential items such as affordability of restaurants and hotels.
