Sahas, hardworking and nervous, antonym to hisfriend, has emerged from a troubled past only to find that his future doesn’tcome without encumbrances. Their friendship is the one constant in thetwo boys’ lives, but that is tested when they each meet Aarti – a mysterious, compassionate, beautiful girl who captures both their imaginations andsets their hearts aflame. Will their passion for the same girl, and an untimely tragedy, sunder the twofriends forever?A compelling tale with twists and turns reminiscent of India’s melodramaticfilms, For a Girl in a Star deals with the age–old staples of young love, heartbreak, and what it means to be a true friend.Starting from the cover is eye catching. It’s not only the design work but also the substance of the Story as well. Just look at the design, there is a couple and a guy which is going away from the couple. The view is simply amazing. The title of the novel is thoughtful, and completely justifying the story. They complement each other well and also is according to the story, so it’s a perfect combination. The story revolves on love triangle with the lives main protagonist Avinash (Avi), Sahas and Aarti. Avi & Sahas, both belonged to the same village Agumbe. Since their early childhood, they were the best buddies of each other and the depth of their friendship was beyond of any imagination. Since the time Avi saved Sahas’s life from drowning in his childhood, Sahas devoted his unconditional friendship to him and soon with time, their bond became inseparable. Aarti was a girl, full of life, with a caring and sensible heart, mature thoughts and kind nature. Her beauty of heart got reflected in her outer appearance also.Aarti and Sahas are in the same college. With continuous interactions, and close encounters, even a shy personality like Sahas also had fallen head over hills for Aarti, but due to lack of courage, he could not get the chance to express his true feelings in front of Aarti. Aarti considered Sahas as a very good & genuine close friend, but she was unaware completely about the feelings of Sahas for her.Sleep felt like a faraway dream since he meet her…Destiny made Avi too crossed his path with Aarti suddenly in an awkward situation, and soon after the first sight, Avi noticed the actually inner beauty of that Aarti possessed and curiosity stuck him. Not one time, but frequently, and after a point, Avi got the chance to interact with Aarti directly. Though their initial interactions was one sided, but soon, after realizing the talent of Avi, and seeing the mesmerizing art of Avi, and his inner simplicity of heart, she started to admire him. With time, they got very close to each other and love blossomed inside the heart of both of them. Even their love for each other made them to take a step further. It is the destiny which turns out to be so cruel that it brings so much misunderstanding in the life of two childhood friends who fall in love with the same girl. It happens in movies that two boys of different worlds find one girl and fall in love with. Talk about coincidence but it happens with these childhood friends. And of course, this love-triangle drives a wedge between them. The story revolves around their struggles and the way they cope up with grief and situations. The story makes you smile in the first half and leaves you sobbing in the second half, the story is narrated in such a manner that everything you read can be visualized.Life sometimes throws you encounters only to leave you indelible memoriesLanguage is simple and lucid to read and connect with the story and being engaged throughout the story.  Characters are also clearly justified to their respective roles and all of the characters mentioned in the book have been portrayed in such a way, that any reader will be able to connect with the characters effortlessly and live the journey with them. It’s a combination of emotions, revenge, friendship, realization, redemption, love, true love, pain, joy, happiness, laughter, family, fate & many other elements infused together. However, the editing errors including spelling and grammatical errors are numerous.  I had learned the true meaning of friendship from the book.Recommended to all bibliophiles.Overall 5/5 StarsAbout the AuthorRatna Chandu was born and brought up in Hyderabad and did her engineering in mechanical. Lessons Learnt in 10 years of Digital (2007-2017)
 7 March 2018

I began my digital journey in 2007 and recently completed ten years in the virtual world. Recently I reflected upon the most critical lessons I had learned in ten years of the virtual world. On Branding & Reputation1) Your brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room.2) Brands are built by a pride of association with like-minded people and role models.3) Your story is your brand.4) Your network is who you know and your reputation is who knows you. On Content & Creativity5) What comes straight from the heart touches straight at the heart.6) People believe it when others appreciate you. Your content is taken seriously when it is shared by others7) Content is king, engagement is queen, passion is princess and technology is a prince.8) Content is king, conversion is the prime minister, and we live in a democracy.9) Creativity leads to deeper insights. Insights lead to even deeper creativity. On Personal Growth10) Selfishness is our default setting but we are empowered to change the settings. 11) Nothing succeeds like passion inspired success. Dig out your deep passion. 12) Collaboration happens when you shift to "You, We, Us" mode.13) A great self-image is a starting point for a great journey.14) The destination is a mirage. The journey is the Nirvana. 15) Branding is just the journey. Bonding is the destination.16) Tell yourself the right stories. Beliefs are stories we tell ourselves.17) Find magic partners and spread the magic. There is magic in unconditional love. 18) Learn once and earn forever does not work anymore. Today you need to unlearn, learn and relearn.19) Meditation is just living in the moment. 20) Social media is a glasshouse. You can't fake it for long.On Storytelling & Inspiration21) You can't heal yourself without telling your story. 22) Empathy first, authentic story later.23) Your stories must move people .....into action, smiles or tears. 24) Words carry energy. Energy carries magic.25) The deeper the love you put, the higher the inspiration you draw.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.41
 7 August 2019

Our Role - In Gita Verse 2.41 Those who are on this path are resolute in purpose, and their aim is one. O beloved child of the Kurus, the intelligence of those who are irresolute is many-branched.Krishna is saying those human being who had understanding of the purpose of human birth - GROW IN CONSCIOUSNESS - this is the assignment of universe to human beings. Once you become self-alert you realize your assignment of the universe, you will start living in this objective world but acting from your subjective world. The person who has realised this will be always enthusiastic to act or not, to act for that person of realization life is a play he is only playing his role. His focus will be how to play in totality. He will be total in his act. Like an actor when he is acting in movie and he has to murder someone or he has to fight war with someone he knows that he is playing his role and unless he is total role will not be successful. So what he does is without any kind of emotions he plays his role, as he knows that by murdering or killing someone in the war is not going to make any difference in his personality nor will it dent it. But if he plays his role fully that will give him fame and further opportunities.Same is in our real life - we are just playing our role given by Universe. For that we need the objective also. From the objective world we get certain circumstances in that circumstances we need to play our role. While playing the role we need our intelligence - for strategy, how and when to use the resources, how to increase our resources through our actions, - with the intelligence we need qualities like wait, watchfulness, balance, acceptance, looking into the present moment’s requirement we need to change our decision etc.Now if we play our role in objective world which is nothing but the screen of cinema, as soon as we have finished our role of that moment we need to allow other things to come on the screen. If in all this synchronicity will happen then you will find that in the middle of the world you are unaffected by the objective world. He will become participant in this world. For him nothing like sin or virtues . Everything is divine for him.Synchronistic events provide an immediate religious experience as a direct encounter with the compensatory patterning of events in nature as a whole, both inwardly and outwardly. The law of synchronicity has to be understood. This is one of the greatest contributions of Carl Gustav Jung to modern humanity: the law of synchronicity.Science is based on the law of causality. The law of causality is mechanical. You heat water to a hundred degrees – it evaporates. Where you heat it is irrelevant – in the temple, in the church, in the mosque, it doesn’t matter; in India, in Tibet, it doesn’t matter. If you heat water to a hundred degrees, it evaporates; the water has no say in it. The water cannot say, “Today I am not feeling like it.” Or, “Today is Sunday and I am on a holiday, and I am not interested in becoming vapour.” Or, “Today I am not in the mood, and you can go on heating and heating and I will not evaporate.” Or, “Today I am suddenly feeling very generous towards you so I will evaporate at fifty degrees. I will favour you.” No, the water has no choice. The law is mechanical, it is causal. If you create the cause, the effect has to follow. And it is without any exception. The credit goes to Carl Gustav Jung. The law has been known down the ages, but nobody had named it exactly. He called it ‘the law of synchronicity’. It suddenly happened to a scientist: A scientist a hundred years ago was staying in an old house. In that old house there were two old clocks on the same wall. He was surprised to see that they always kept exactly the same time, second to second: “Old clocks, and so perfect? Not even a single second’s difference?”Being a scientist he became curious. He put one clock five minutes back, and after twenty-four hours in the morning when he looked again, they were again keeping the same time. Now it was a great puzzle. He enquired… nobody had changed, nobody had touched anything. He tried again and again, and again and again they would come to the same rhythm. Then he tried to find out: “What is happening? – something strange. They are disconnected!”Then he observed more minutely and he came to conclude: “The vibration of one clock, which is more powerful, the bigger clock, goes through the wall – just the vibration – and keeps the other clock in tune. It is a subtle rhythm. Nothing is visible.”That was the beginning of a new phenomenon… then many many more things happened. And by the time Carl Gustav Jung started working on how things happen in consciousness, he came to conclude that the vibe of one heart, if it is powerful enough, can change the rhythm of another heart — just like the bigger clock was changing the smaller clock. The vibe is invisible. There is not yet any way to measure it, but it is there. It is not tangible, but it functions. It is not causal. The way in which one heart can change the rhythm of another heart same way when you live in the objective world and act from your subjectivity there aries a rhythm, synchronicity of objective world and subjective world, the whole environment will change around you. It has been said that in the 3 kilometers of radius of Buddha and Mahavira everything will become non-violence. Even the wild animal will become friendly. Now our objective world is visible but subjective world is invisible. If we act in objective world from our subjectivity, our actions will be aligned with universeal direction, from that act you will not be in the vicious circle of sin or virtues but simply play your role and in that always you will find there will be more opportunities and growth is possible.Krishna says Arjuna who realize themselves as a human being they just play their role. So come back to your subjectivity and just play your role.

How does Sleep Apnea Shorten your life?
 23 July 2019

Sleep apnea is a serious medical condition. During this condition, the air flow to the lungs stops for around 10 seconds or longer while a person is asleep. This disrupts the breathing pattern and can be life threatening. People suffering from sleep apnea snore, gasp and even make choking sounds during sleep. As the breathing stops, the brain senses it and the person usually wakes up to take in enough air to breathe. He goes back to sleep within few seconds. Sleep apnea patients experience this numerous times during their sleep. It can happen as many as 30 times during an hour and surprisingly the patients do not even remember this activity. The frequent constant sleep disruption can stress and strain the body badly.Sleep apnea machines have been designed to ease this condition. However, the problem is that while several people around the world suffer from sleep apnea, many of them aren’t aware of their condition. They begin to feel exhausted and lethargic day after day without even realising that the real reason behind this is waking up numerous times at night due to sleep apnea. Symptoms of Sleep ApneaIn order to combat this serious condition, it is essential to recognize its symptoms. Here are some of the common symptoms of sleep apnea:Unusual snoring, gasping and choking sounds during sleepLethargy or lack of energyInability to concentrateNight sweatsForgetfulnessUnusual weight gainLoss of appetite or increase in appetiteFrequent urination during nightSevere headache particularly during the morning hoursDry mouth and sore throat upon waking.Frequent mood swingsIrritable behaviourDepressionIf you see a combination of these symptoms then it is time to see a doctor and get the problem diagnosed. You may be suffering from sleep apnea. If you are then it is essential to seek medical help to combat it. Sleep Apnea can Shorten Your Life SpanSleep apnea can disrupt your normal life. This is one of the reasons why the aforementioned symptoms must not be ignored. Proper medication must be taken if you are suffering from sleep apnea at the earliest else it can soon lead to heart problem. It so happens that as the brain signals the body to breathe immediately sensing a drop in the oxygen level it also boosts the stress hormones. This increases the blood pressure and makes the heart beat faster. This stokes inflammation, raises the chances of the blood to clot and damages the blood vessels and can ultimately cause heart problem. Sleep apnea can also lead to various other illnesses including diabetes, high cholesterol and chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD). This makes sleep apnea a grave medical condition that can shorten your life. However, the good news is that one can overcome this condition and its subsequent impact by making certain lifestyle changes and seeking medical help. In less severe cases, losing weight, avoiding alcohol and sleeping on the side can help. Sleep Apnea Machines to Soothe the ConditionSleep apnea machines have specially been designed for people suffering from obstructive sleep apnea. Using this machine in addition to making the aforementioned lifestyle changes can help cure sleep apnea. Bollywood around the trees
 6 February 2019

"Bollywood is all about dancing around the trees"... probably yes and that's what makes us unique and jhintaak!
I guess "around the trees" is a metaphor to show that sweet shyness which tingles your body and that strange happiness you don't know how to express. Most of the songs picturised around trees are the ones where the girl and boy are expressing their love coyly. Starting from 1930s where Ashok Kumar and Devika Rani crooned to “Main Ban Ki Chidiya Ban Me” around the trees to almost the end of 1990s, hindi cinema have taken refuge of nature to depict romance.
And why not? Trees, flowers, gardens and nature appear the best when you heart is blooming with love. It is a state of mind which depicts happiness and joy. Even autumn starts looking fresh in hues of brown and grey, when the love blossoms! Remember the tulip garden in Dekha Ek Khwab from Silsila!
However, I want to recollect one rare song which fits the bill and still does not qualify to be jhintaak at all! “Dil Dhoondhta Hai” from Mausam!
Mausam signifies weather, which changes and never remains constant! The movie aptly titled shows myriad variations of emotions which are created by circumstances and fate. A happy couple separates, a daughter never sees her father and life takes her on the path of a profession where a man is a man, not a father or brother or friend! Fate brings the father and daughter back and relationship tornado takes swirls!
And one song which summarises the whole movie is Dil Dhoondhta Hai Phir Wohi Fursat ke Raat Din!
Gulzar Saab has penned this song in such articulated way that the same lyrics make up for a happy version and a sad version. While Madan Mohan ji has composed both the versions in typical moods, we must give complete credit to Bhupinder Singh ji for exuding such strong emotions in each version so beautifully!
The baritone effortlessly reach your soul in both the versions. While singing happy, he voice smiles and while remembering the happy times heart cries, his voice will pierce you with pain and pathos! More you listen to each version, more you fall in love!
Happy Birthday Bhupinder Singh ji!

Kedarkantha the most popular winter trek.
 12 September 2018
Art

How about a snowy affair the winters? How about getting lost in mountains and finding yourself? Maybe, somewhere you belong. Somewhere you can find the best views of the Himalayas. Somewhere, you can do self-introspection peacefully in one of the best campsites in India. Trust me the, prettiest. Just imagine the campsites nestled in snow-covered pine trees. Shrouded by pine forests, and snowfall makes the view much more spectacular. Powdery and surreal it is! Sounds like a fairy tale? It doesn't only sound like a fairy tale but the whole views of Kedarkantha trek are like a dreamscape. You will be witnessing the union of the blue horizon with snowy peaks. You will feel liberated, far away from the city chaos. How often you look out of the window and crave from something surreal? How often do you take that fresh chilled breeze inside you? How often your heart wish to spend time with oneself? How often do you feel that you need a break from all the mess? How often your heart longs to express more? How often do you feel the silence? How often do you feel like that you just need to gaze the stars and loosen yourself a bit?Want to be one of the free and liberated soul? Let's go to one of the most beautiful trails. This is the easy one which gives the most kaleidoscopic view of Himalayas. The trails go through forests and hanging rhododendrons. The verdant green forests, a myriad collection of flora and fauna, what a delightful moment it will be to walk on such trail? This trek can also be done by people who don't have any prior trekking experience. And you will witness three most prominent peaks like Swargorohini, Kalanag, and Bandarpoonch. Awe-struck right? You will be literally amazed. The trek starts from Sankri village of Uttrakhand. From Sankri you got to trek for 4-5 hours to reach another base camp of Juda ka Talab ( It's frozen, during winters). walking trails become bit steep as you will continue to gain height.  From Juda ka Talab to kedarkantha basecamp it will take almost 3 hours to reach. Fron Kedarkantha basecamp to the summit is gonna take 6-7 hours. and you will be exposed to the best views.  And the weather is completely unpredictable. But you gotta push yourself a bit hard, to witness the jaw-dropping beauty, which will leave you speechless.  As it is said, the view comes after the hardest climb. So this winter brace up for some new adventure with the best views, from ascending slopes to lush green meadows, from bit steep to plain trails. This trek has everything.

BY WHOM I AM INSPIRED
 30 January 2018

I am inspired by every step of my life, every moments of nature and every natural object. Moreover, I am inspired by my failure. I think getting inspired at every moment is in the subconscious mind of everybody. When a child starts walking, he falls many times before its success. At the dawn I think ah! There is again another new hope after a dark night. The bright light of Sun ray and the calm beams of moon inspire me to be impartial to everybody. When I see the flying birds, the animals gazing in the field, I think they are having nothing with them. Still they do not deviate from their nature. So, why should I, where I have a roof on my head, a monthly salary to meet my basic needs? The same thing I think in my office (which is a small cabin, where there is no electricity). In the midsummer, when day to day life is disturbed due to excess heat, I do manage by a small hand fan to avoid sweating. But at the same time when I see the trolley pullers with load of vegetables or groceries or some other things, I get inspired. My situation looks negligible before them. When I do listen the song of calmness and sound of quietness in the darkness of night my heart fills with pleasure. I feel the beauty of night. The fragrance of scented flowers fills my heart with pleasure. If there is no darkness, how could these beauties of nature would have come? A red ant gathers food for the rainy season; small white ants could make an anthill. So, why can not I struggle? My parents inspired me in every step of my life. They always tell me to march forward, not to look behind. My siblings give the assurance of their presence at every step of my life. And the sentence, “I am with you” being told by my dear one gives me the feeling that I am not alone. There are so many inspiring hands with me.The flowing river tells me that I have a great aim ahead to meet. If there is power in the small wing of the birds to touch the sky, why not my strong legs could march forward? If the tiny droplets can make a large ocean, if the little sands help to make a big desert, why can not I helpful for the society?Last but not the least I am inspired by my failure. Because failure is the pillar stone of my success. My mother always tells that Bheemas (a character of Mahabharata, one among the Pandavas) are defeated in the first war. In my course of life, when I meet with failure at any time, the voice of my parents inspired me to march forward, in the hope of betterment in future.

Q: Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.A: I am currently pursuing the B.E. Program in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Chandigarh College, Chandigarh. I am a writer and a poet. I love to sing, and study about music and psychology. My other interests include painting, sketching and public speaking. I just want to do it all.Q: How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?  A: When I was growing up, I went through my phases of teen rebel, the melodrama of youth and the feelings of being misunderstood. I had a hard time dealing with growing up and facing the world. And when I couldn't find any other way to deal with it, one day I decided to write, and the words came flowing to my mind and I was amazed. It felt so good and relieving, that I continued with writing poems, articles and stories, and read them to my family and friends.Q: What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? Sometimes you are so weighed down by your emotions that you don't want to write about them because at times, that is like, piercing knives through your heart. It hurts so bad to confront and re-confront the bad stuff but then again, that also gives you some of your best work. So, i don't mind it but it sure feels difficult to be eaten alive by something you love doing, so dearly. So that is one difficult thing about it, the way how everything is sometimes so difficult to write about when it's just screaming out of you, everywhere.Q: What is your view about the present-day literary work?  A: I think it's amazing how so many writers have found various platforms and a lot of stories are coming out. New Genres are being formed and everybody is now pushing their limits, which is great. Finally, we are in a world where everyone has a voice and that just feels so amazing.Q: Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? A: Absolutely yes! I couldn't have agreed more. Digital platforms are a blessing to a budding writer's world.Q: Please tell us something about your literary work.  A: Most of the stuff I write about is centered around the themes of growing up, parting, solitude and escapism. I take inspiration from my own life and the lives of people around me. I try to paint a picture with my words and try to do in the most honest and sometimes dark manner. I have also written about suicide, death, friends and teenage and I am open to writing more about being spiritual and what it means to be happy and sad. I want to go and explore different themes and write about each one of them, if I can. I think I am a tireless nomad in search for something that connects everything.Q: What was your first literary work and how was it published?A: My first literary work was with StoryMirror. I had never tried my hand at writing but one day i decided to and so I sent one of my poems 'The rush of your dreams' in the inter-college level competition organized by StoryMirror. I got so many views and applause for it that it was too overwhelming. It also got selected to be featured in one of the anthologies by StoryMirror, which is under work. I was completely shaken, and I still remember that feeling like it was yesterday. Q: How many ways literature can contribute to society in future? A: Well, for one, I’d say literature is going to save the world. In a world where we are so divided by boundaries and religion, I think Literature is where we all come together as humans. If every human being develops a writer's heart and an artistic growth, so many amazing things can happen to this world, that could have been thought of only in dreams or stories.Q: here do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world? A:I want to travel all around the world, look for various muses and write about them. I really hope to make it successful as a writer and as a poet and maybe one day, I’ll get to write my story for the world to read and be remembered. Q: What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets? A: I think it is a great idea. While I firmly believe that every writer has a different and a deep personal story to tell, I think it would be great if we all could just talk to one another and discuss about our muses and themes. I'd love to be in such a club, for sure. Sign me up! Q: What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers? A: As one myself, I’d ask them to continue writing no matter what. It doesn't matter whether you get any recognition or applause, just remember why you started off writing and go on with it, no matter what. The most important thing is to write for yourself, and then comes the world. So just do your thing and don't ever look back.Q: How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror?   A: Two words - Beyond Exhilarating. I got so much recognition and exposure, and I am so grateful that I can't even begin to put it into words. It feels like being found in this chaotic world and I look forward to being remembered. Thank you, StoryMirror! You have my heart!Q: Would you like to say something about StoryMirror?  A: Yes! Keep up with this amazing platform. I hope a lot of writers consider you as the medium they want their work to spread and speak to the people. May you make big with all of these writers. Keep slaying!!!You can read my content on https://storymirror.com/profile/oseliq3i/aditya-thakur/poems
