An essay on a picture.

JAIPUR JAUNTS-1
 Shruthi Rao
 20 February 2018

Epitome of art, architecture and culture. They are rightly the essence of Jaipur, the pink city. Place so vibrant and colorful can be synonymized as “Gateway to Royal Rajasthan”. Art and Architecture is so vastly reflected in the city that once visited, it’s almost impossible to control the urge to visit other parts of the state.Food and delicacies of this region are something not to ignore either. Rich in spices, flavours and desi Ghee are truly the royal ingredients of a Rajasthani meal. This is the exact reason a clique of girls got lost on the streets of Jaipur looking for that perfect Gewarh,Pyaz ke Samose and Dal bati churma; until they could satisfy their appetites. One of the girls wanted to capture the moments and perceptions, while others wanted to be captured in the moments. While the other girls wanted to take back goodies and merchandises as memorabilia, this girl wanted to take back the memories, trapped in the right words.Again, one among them, wanted to live in the aroma and vibes of the place herself, while others wanted to just experience them temporarily. There was something beautiful about feeling on vacation and at home all at once, that’s what made her pen this down.Four girls landed in the city, early in the morning, unaware of even the places to halt. But were no slow-paced in kick starting the day, all dressed to perfection and making bold statements. “Yes, they believed in travelling in class”. It didn’t matter how their itinerary was, but their attires were sure as hell ‘well planned’. It included colors and vibrancies as a base, two days of modernity with some desi touch, while one day restricted to contemporarily basic ethnic outfits!!Itinerary was something like this, first day included all the outskirts, majorly forts of Jaipur. Second day an excursion to Ajmer and Pushkar. Last day included the local inner-city sight-seeing. Planned shopping was to be done either at Pushkar or on the last day of trip which went for a toss and they ended up shopping on all three days. After all, they were girls and it was a girls’ trip, Duuuhhh!!!!!!! Let me clarify – not being a contra feminist here.Experience differ from person to person and so does the stories of travel, even if it’s of the same place or of multiple times. Amer fort (as pronounced), which is written as Amber fort,is a delight to ones’ senses. Well planned, better maintained and least destroyed of all the forts deserves to be called the best of them all. A person can typically spend minimum of one to one and a half hour within the fort. Jaigarh holds world’s largest cannon displayed for public. The walls of Jaigarh and Nahargarh forts are infamously called Great wall of India similar to that of China’s. The view from above and amidst those walls are surely worth a great deal of calorie burn. Not to miss a couple of stops where a glimpse of Jalmahal can be spotted in all its glory,on the driveway to Nahargarh. One can even have some chai and coffee from the local vendors, while chilling at these viewpoints.Pushkar, girls fell for it the moment they entered the streets. Call them vibes, spirit or energy, there was something totally positive. People tend to get drawn towards the hippie culture and ambience the town has. Hosting its tourists with the world’s one and only Bramha temple, charm of the town lies on the banks of serene and sacred lake of Pushkar. The roads of Ajmer to Pushkar in between the aravalli ranges, a sunset on the countryside as a back drop to the camel safari, all adds on to the drive factor. A stay here wouldn’t harm your pockets provided the kind of vacation being looked forward to is of chilling and relaxation as a main purpose. Add on: There is a lot to shop at this place, bargaining is the key!Ajmer Shariff Dargah is a place of religious significance, where faith of believers can be seen at its highest. One thing to be kept in mind is not to visit the place during the times of prayer, especially on the days of Jumma. Tourists might end up waiting for hours together just to enter the center sanctum. Also, the inner most sanctum is the hardest to get in and out of, it is advisable to be cautious of your belongings and special attention required for kids. The most economical and convenient way of travel around Jaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar back and forth is by local buses .It's good to keep a track of time and manage the day accordingly. There are frequent buses plying around, reaching the destination within the span of 2.5 hours. However, if there are kids and people with ailments and ageing, it's advisable to hire a cab on fair prices.Final day, girls headed towards city the local way. The most effective way of reaching the local sights is by a rick or a cab. All the major destinations inside city for example City palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar are all within the walkable distance from one another. These structures of Hawa Mahal and city palace are of more recent times as compared to those forts on the outskirts. Peek-a-Boo through those colorful windows is how Hawa Mahal can be described. City palace is in all its splendor and glory of roughness. It is enclosed with Musuems, Art galleries, Durbar halls etc. which exhibit the objects used by the then royal family. Only place of interest in Jantar Mantar for girls was of structures containing zodiac signs, along with which they could get photographed. People with special interest in science and astronomical knowledge would enjoy this more than laymen. Otherwise, it is still a good sight to visit as a place from history, especially with the world's biggest sundial as a main attraction.Girls felt teleported to the era of maharaja, these structures gave them a feel of life within them. How they wished, they could go back in time and visit when these places were inhabited!!P.S. My HApPyy Moments:1.Spotting Colorfully Painted Elephants on the streets.2.Watching ladies cooking roti on the lanes of Pushkar.3.Getting a glimpse of civilization and mountains merging from Nahargarh.4.Buying a palazzo with elephant prints on them Yesss… elephant in it’s any form is LOVE!!! HAppy Vacations and don’t forget to check the next blog“Background Check, Jaipur Jaunts-2”, containing history of the places mentioned here in detail.

Myths about Highly Sensitive Personality
 Suchismita Sahu
 3 March 2018

"You are too sensitive!"The countless times of this review made me to analyze, synthesize and redefine my personality.High sensitivity is a misunderstood trait. As a highly sensitive person (HSP) myself, I’ve felt insecure in the past about my empathic, thoughtful nature. Luckily, society’s perception of sensitivity is changing, thanks in part to the growing acceptanceneuro-diversity—the idea that neurological variation among people is normal. When you think of the most successful person you know, what qualities do they embody? It’s likely you’re wowed by their ingenuity and creative problem-solving skills. Or maybe you’re impressed by their emotional intelligence and ninja-like ability to connect with people. These are just a few qualities of highly sensitive people (or HSPs), who make up about 20 percent of the population. Despite popular belief, sensitive people make great leaders. They’re consistently rated as top performers. HSPs tend to be well-liked by managers and appreciated for their commitment, even if they get on their co-worker’s nerves from time to time. Some of this diverse group of “famous” individuals that — in my opinion — might appropriately belong on the list of those who exhibit the characteristics of high sensitivity would include Scientists: Albert Einstein, Carl Jung and Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton, Thomas Alva Edison  to political leaders: Abraham Lincoln, Harry S. Truman, Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, Gandhi, Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Eleanor Roosevelt and Princess Diana, today’s celebrities: Mandy Moore, Adrien Brody, Glenn Close, Eddie Murphy, Joaquin Phoenix, Nicole Kidman, Kevin Kline, Winona Ryder and Elijah Wood, to name a few Artists: Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Georgia O’Keefe, Picasso, Frida Kahlo and Frank Lloyd Wright, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Elton John, Alanis Morissette, Neil Young, Jim Morrison.Singer/song writer Jewel in her famous “I’m Sensitive” song, sings: “So please be careful with me, I’m sensitive And I’d like to stay that way. I have this theory, that if we’re told we’re bad Then that’s the only idea we’ll ever have…”Being sensitive is a superpower, but if not managed properly, it can turn into a stumbling block. Navigating the world as a highly sensitive person involves special considerations, as does loving, working, or living with an HSP.1: The Secret Life of a Highly Sensitive Person And why the trait can actually be an advantage: Applying Your Highly Sensitive Strengths HSPs are masters of emotional intelligence. They pick up on subtleties that less sensitive people miss and have a keen ability to read between the lines. Believe it or not, HSPs can be great entrepreneurs and marketers precisely because they tend to be so skilled at building rapport, listening, and empathizing.2. HSPs are conscientious: Details, structure, and organization are their jam. Because they are accustomed to processing a lot of input, they easily come up with plans and solutions for complex problems, which is an invaluable asset. HSPs can also concentrate deeply and adore getting lost in ideas. This make us perfectly positioned for success in an era where deep work matters.3. HSPs are innovative. Some of the world’s best artists include HSPs. Why? Pair heightened sensory processing with a rich inner experience and you have a group of people neurologically wired to create. So, lean into your curiosity, ask questions that rock the status quo, and explore your whims. It’s what separates you from others who are too afraid to think big.4. HSPs are multi-passionate.They care about their work, their relationships, and it shows. HSPs are usually intelligent trailblazers who find ways to uniquely combine their varied interests into satisfying careers that have impact on the world.Thriving as a Sensitive Person Are there downsides to possessing this innate trait? Of course. But with some forethought and intention, they can employ their high sensitivity as their greatest strength. Get more comfortable with feedback. Most highly sensitive people, despite being good communicators, don’t fare well when caught off guard in meetings or presentations. Similarly, one critical comment may shake them for days or weeks. If you’re an HSP, get ready for high-stakes interactions by anticipating questions that may arise. 5. Don’t react—respond.Life doesn’t always go according to script, and as an HSP, you need to hone your resilience skills in response to surprises. To curb panic and emotional flooding, practice putting space between the triggering event and your response to it.6. Be bullish with boundaries. As a highly sensitive person, it’s essential to conserve your energy. You spend the day picking up on the feelings and moods of your peers. If these interactions skew negative, they can leave you feeling drained. Noisy, busy environments (even bad music—yes, seriously) also take a toll on HSPs.Simple shifts can make a big difference. Try getting to the office early so you can have some quiet working time before the hustle and bustle of the day takes holds. I put a 15-to-30-minute buffer between all meetings to ensure I have time to decompress.Managing your energy effectively comes down to creating solid boundaries and paying close attention to the inputs you allow into your life. Limit time with toxic people, be careful about the media you consume, and be bullish about self-care. If you demand a lot from yourself (which most HSPs do), then building in periods for rest and recovery is nonnegotiable.Tips for Loving or Working with an HSP: Highly sensitive people make loyal partners and great leaders, that much we know. But truthfully, loving, living with, or working alongside an HSP isn’t always easy. You can’t (and shouldn’t try) to change them. But you can inspire and support them in simple ways:If you work with an HSP:Keep them in the loop with frequent updates and clear information. HSPs tend to have a high input orientation, so the more they know, the better. When possible, let them prepare. Give them the meeting agenda ahead of time.Focus on coaching instead of criticizing. Details are an HSP strength, so provide ultraspecific steps for improvement.Honor their hunches. Value intuition as part of your HSP’s decision-making process.2. If you love an HSP:Build quiet time and solitude into your shared schedule.Expect insomnia. HSPs sometimes struggle to sleep soundly because they have active minds.Be patient with them during confrontation. If they need space, don’t take it personally.Above all, whether you’re a co-worker, a sibling, or a spouse, try to appreciate the unique set of characteristics an HSP possesses as best you can. There can be a sharp learning curve, but ultimately, you will both see how high sensitivity can shape your worlds for the better.

Mashmellos, ‘Lazer’, and high ‘Temperature’ at Vh1 Supersonic
 Verus Ferreira
 16 March 2018

When you have headliners such as Marshmallow, Major Lazer, and Sean Paul coming together, you know you are at one of the best festivals in the world.Kicking off the fifth edition from last year’s three stages, the fest brought in six stages this year, with the main stage Sonic Realm taking you into fairytale land with an Alice in Wonderland setup, complete with a clock, the hands that actually move, but anti-clockwise. You also had the wings of the ladybug open and close at intervals. And to top it all, you had the commanding deer right in the center. Laboratory Supersonic was the first stage as you entered the venue, and comparatively small compared to the others, but sporting a very industrial feel, complete with shipping port containers stacked in the backdrop. Live Arena was the huge main stage and a well thought of Changeover stage for much smaller acts. Between the Live Arena and the Spectrum stage that had more of the EDM acts, was the Reggae Stage close to the Beer Garden spinning out some classic reggae tunes on CD and vinyl. The first day of the three-day festival held from 9th, 10th and 11th February, saw Indie acts like Komorebi, Parekh & Singh, Clayton Hogermeer, Kohra, and Midival Punditz to the Live Arena stage offering the topper for the night Nucleya, Dillion Francis and Major Lazer on the Sonic Realm stage. Anyone who was at the festival will tell you how packed the venue was, and going by statistics from last year, this season saw the highest number of footfalls, with a total attendance of around 12,000 people on all three days. Major Lazer, who has played in the country before, began his set with one of Bollywood’s iconic track Choli Ke Peeche moving over to Kendrick Lamar’s Humble and Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You, besides of course his own songs. Lazer showed his love for Bollywood with more unexpected tracks like Ladki Kar Gayi Chul and a few others. If Daft Punk had their helmets, Deadmau5 his mouse head, Christopher Comstock, known professionally as Marshmello, an American electronic dance music producer and DJ had the mask head. Day 2 saw a few die-hard Mashmellow fans walk in with the face mask and dancing just like he does.Though the day started with some great acts like Madboy Mink and the Stage Collective at Live Arena, followed by the Shillong based Soulmate who gave a rousing performance, this was followed by the Ska Vengers ending with Bombay Bassment and the Fanculos. The Spectrum stage witnessed some big bang performances like Ash Roy and Tuhin Mehta to Joseph Capriati, while The Laboratoire stage witnessed some galactic performances from Raja Kumari bringing tracks like Meera, Believe in You, City Slums. DJ Uri played the turntables with Ryan Sadri on Sax, but the night eventually belonged to Mashmello. Once again like the previous night opening act was almost similar to that of Major Lazer as both of them had Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai as the opening song, but from there Mashmello went on to his blockbusters we love so much. The last day at Laxmi Lawns saw indie acts like Aswekeepsearching, Pentagram, The F 16s and American rock band Incubus to the Spectrum stage offering a fantastic set by Arjun Vagale. The main act for the night was taken by Sean Paul, with audiences expecting a night to remember. Sadly the Jamaican rapper who sported an orange jacket, was not in his element but managed to raise the bar a bit with songs like Temperature, She Doesn’t Mind and a few others. The venue had lots to offer, if you ever got tired of the music. At a sprawling 35,000 sq ft moving around from each stage would give you enough exercise to lose a few calories. Like last year, there were several installations to keep you busy. This year had a giant slide, swings, cute de-stress tents, a see saw, and a mechanical bull, besides of course a fabulous food court with a mini flea market. Sadly if you wanted to have your poison while you enjoyed your favourite act, you would have to down the glass of beer or Jim Bean at the bar itself, as no alcohol was permitted outside the bar area or allowed to be carried from one stage bar to the other. Something that the organisers should seriously consider doing away with. One may try to adhere to the Legal Drinking Age (LDA) of 25, but chances are you might just get away with it at the Beer Garden that had practically no security to oversee who was drinking what. Despite the hits and the misses, Vh1 Supersonic gave us memories we will always cherish. Can’t wait for next year.Text and Photos by Verus Ferreira

 22 March 2018

In the world of global competition, desperation to prove and a virtual asset to involve upon; Indian authors find it a tedious task to prove rise and perform according to their family challenges and expectations of their own support rising ahead. However, there is a way to solve the desperate thirst and help yourself to become a better author if you are a youth and belong to India willing to rise as a writer/author in the demanding culture of the competitive environment in the gust and proving prosperity of the writing. What the Youth from India needs to acquire is the understanding that writing is an art or a passion and not a money-spinner business which they suppose it to be generally in present circumstances. They have to believe in them rather than believing the economic consequences to turntable ahead. What is more to it that they must take virtual personal writing training and learn the skill and art of writing in their early ages? People around the world today starts to write from age of 14 or 16, But even after publishing many books at such age they only become personally perfect at the age of 21-22 thus the Indian youths have to express themselves with global output open to them, but they need to require an understanding of proper balance that can help them generate proper writing calibre rather than search of the money-spinner responses. Today youths are told that what their future goals can be and how to cherish the similar passion all across the world and similar to it happening in India, thus what youths need to learn as rising writers that they not lose their patience and perfect their duration to be a better author. They can ask for a durational period from their parents and work accordingly to become an accomplished star in the field of writing by obliging such duration in perfection, standardizing and maintaining a grip on the skill and art of writing indeed. It takes time to become a nurtured author even in the 21st century and by such virtue, an author has to accomplish himself/herself to be in the potentiality of proper writing skill so he/she can achieve. Thereby take the time to perfect yourself and don't be ashamed of having such time taking experience, You need to learn ups and downs of writing and once you are done so, You may find that you are a much more matured author than you used to be at the age of 14/15 when you began your writing dream indeed...

Awaken The Jackson You Are.

Review: The Lightning Thief, in Heroes of Olympus, Rick RiordonImagine being a half happy. Being half sad. Being half of any expression or substance and not completely belonging to a clan or community which you can call your own. Imagine not being able to belong anywhere. Percy was one such character.Rick Riordon with his first novel in the series of Percy Jackson And The Olympians crafts one of the best selling fiction books and etches his name in the world of fantasy literature. In his book, the protagonist, Percy Jackson is anatomically, a half blood being. An exciting blend of human and a god.(That consternation when you imagine humans and Gods procreating!) Adapting many characters from the Greek Mythology of heroes and demons, Riordin traverses the readers through a world where the spectator wants to enter this realm of fantasy and live through it.The book starts to make a direct peak in the young readers life, by showing the Jackson’s tough time surviving in school because of his dyslexic nature. After having changed his school umpteen times, he gives up and makes his up his mind to settle and work towards his improvement in his personal and official life. He lives a normal teenage life, with his mother (who is more human than the two parents!) which comes with its own qualms. He tackles his love interest, reads top rated books and struggles in class like you would expect an average teenager to handle his life to be. Hence making it one of the best reads in fantasy novel section in a student’s and adult’s library too. The twist in his destiny comes when he experiences a tiff with one of his professors. Which is unusual since Percy is one docile creature. The tiff brews into a battle where his real identity is revealed and Percy is welcomed to the world of monsters and gods. After a heated battle and a headfull of mind numbing confusions, Percy returns to his house and is promised by his mom to be taken to his favorite Beach in Mantauk. At Mantauk start the real cat -dog race between dreams and reality. His greatest fear and unsettling notion of not being able to fit anywhere suitable for him and experiencing an unknown power over water gets to him and is teleported. Rordion makes this transition seem so swift and endearing it relates to every student’s transition to high school years, which makes it one of the best children’s books. He is taken to a place where he belongs, Camp Half Blood, and made to introduce with his new group of mates who are just as unique in their genealogy as he is. He, along with his favorite friend,Grover who now has become his satyr are introduced to a world of magic, sorcery and witchcraft. Percy finds himself in the mirror by the masters and centaurs who teach him about his life their and his identity unravels as the son of Poseidon- god of the sea. While Percy is following a strict and lax regime at the same time in his real home, meeting with other Demi-gods(Annabeth) (We ship them together!), things take toll in his personal life as his mom gets kidnapped and the world basically starts to tear down. In such a hassle to understand the reasoning behind these events, he is informed of another accusation made on him the Olympians. He becomes a target under suspicion when the king of the Gods,i.e Zeus’s lightening bolt gets stolen. Percy travels through many worlds and crosses his boundaries on the quest to decipher the thief and clear his name. He encounters many hellhounds, monsters and Oracle prophecies get to Percy just like his examinations and social gatherings used to. He learns and masters his skills and spearheads his connect with water through his half stallion, half human teacher, Chiron and uses them to protect Annabeth, Grover against trouble. While getting rid of Hades and his callous tricks to stop Percy from his pursuit to trap him and his team, he exercises his full power and shows his wrath to the God of Wrath himself. Nobody messes with the son of Sea! After passing all the hurdles and dodging arrows, Percy finally is able to restore the peace amongst the gods in Olympus and he goes onto retrieve his mother as well. A well crafted novel revolving around Greek Gods and monsters become very relatable because of the author’s simplistic and innovative expression makes it an impressive story book in english for adults as well. All turning out well at last, but this is just the latest in the series of new novels under the Heroes Of Olympus by Rick!

SIGHT and ACTION.

Maps And Mother Goddesses in Modern India”,Imago Mundi, Vol 53 pp. 97-11by Sumathy Ramaswamy; “Death of a Kotwal”, The Caste Question pp.241-264 by Anupama RaoThe scales of shapes and skills remain balanced so long there is a constant urge to take action through acts and thoughts. Borrowing evidences from the texts from The Death of A Kotwal and Maps and Mother Goddesses of India, this paper argues how bodies produce knowledge. It lurks around the former where an innocent Kotwal is bludgeoned to death and the latter provides for a bodyscape which helped unite India. This paper reflects how irrespective of the existence of materials, constant interactions in the society can lead to formation of perceptions and abstractions. NON LIVING PARTICIPATION IN ACTIONBodies are known to be the hub for interactions and debates. Apart from their physical realities, in a rut to fight and provide evidence, humans intensify the meaning of the non-existential bodies to make them exist. Rao, in her paper explains the helplessness of the family and the Dalit community after Sawane’s virtual corpse is put under the eyes of the law. The case expedites when it is scrutinized deeply and Rao mentions, “The addition of the PCR Act’s Section 3(x)was mandatory and signaled that the case merited extra care as an atrocity”(243). The idea of the investigation of a dead body by another body in power(legislation) sensationalized the tiff in hand. This case was chalked out as an exception from all of the Anti-Dalit discriminations, because of its gruesome severity. Ramaswamy supporting this argument in her essasy argues reflects how soma (body) of a woman can be utilized for representing a map, to awaken the depressed patriots of India. She says, “These gendered bodyscapes also enable the viewing of the nation’s territory possessively, even pleasurably”(109). Considering maps of margins and boundaries incapable of provocation of any belongingness, she intensifies the need and power of embodiment. Such bodyscapes hence acted like moderators between different ideologies to brew a collective revolution.Man’s constant attempt to question and frame an individual to gain attention has made his instinct for differing between the real and unreal blind. The once real, body of the Kotwal and the virtual Mother India, both created by man are not hotplate for discussion and representations.STRUCTURES TO ABSTRACTIONSBodies are meant to provide a structure and materialize the abstractions. However their state of living existence may be, bodies never cease to engender knowledge and awareness. When put under a magnifying glass of human perceptions, one views different from the other. Rao expresses how the location of the village was harmless yet a catastrophe occurred. As the case progressed it was found out that apart from being Dalit and follower of Ambedkar, he was also the gate keeper for his area. Rao writes, “Living outside the village boundaries, the mahar veskar is the outsider figure who protects the integrity of the village social unit” (258). Sawane wasn’t only a material body, but upon his death,a lot of humanity and responsibilities failed which remained unnoticed.Sumathy Ramaswamy too expresses how blank cartographical representations of their progressing nation once looked at differently, livened up. The body of the mother goddess as a map now, calls for national urge to freedom. She writes “They invite the citizen subject who gazes upon them to relate the nation not as some abstract, dead geographical space but as a near and dear person, his personal goddess, his vulnerable mother, even a beloved lover “(110). One couldn’t have imagined the power of abstract images with bodies to shake the restlessness in the nation and make them aware about their surroundings. These perceptions help build studies of knowledge and emotion amongst people who are witnessing the action. Hence to attain the key of all the knowledge of interest from a body, one must seep through all the roots of the body and decipher all its actions and emotions it represent for others before making quick judgments. It is only then when our deductions will surpass the normal overview of bodies, that we will take a leap into the world of actual reality.KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGES ON THE BASIS OF PERCEPTIONSCo-existing with other humans in the universe leads to various perceptions and ideas to be built around the body. The way he moves, his actions, his speech, all comes into consideration when there is an observer or listener who symbolizes his being with respect to own life. On one hand, Rao reflects the importance of politics in the society, on the other,Ramaswamy talks about the status of the female community through her work. The latter writes on behalf of many and says “feminist geographers have suggested that the conception of the nation as cartographically female enables a ‘masculinist’ relationship to the place”(109).In their purview, such kind of bodyscaping was centralized so men could join arms and perform righteous duties towards the vulnerable mother nation. On a similar note, Rao reflects how ideas taken from the perception of Dalit communities and Ambedkar’s role as a political leader helped shape the judgment. She resounds the case progressions and says, “Kharkov distinguished two forms of phenomenal violence: new violent caste social displayed in conflict around Ambedkar statue and retaliatory counter violence that reinstated Dalits’ stigmatized status” (255). This knowledge became crucial in understanding and refining the position of the Dalit kotwal and his ambition of constructing a statue of Ambedkar. The distress of the Dalit community and their political representative from the past, would not have come under notice if there was no action amidst communities. The analysis that came in effect after continuous actions and perceptions made in societies would not have been produced without the continuous expulsion of knowledge from the bodies. It is due to such their status in the society and such symbolic representations, that we can extrapolate their relationships and achievements in the past.Humans, often involuntarily make decisions keeping in mind other people’s existence in their life and their effects. As goes their anatomy, knowledge can never be separated alone from the way they occupy space. This space however need not be tangible or visible, for what matters more is the influence created by it. By their own will, the bodies spout a river of emotions and actions in due course of their life. As they interact, the by products become adaptable and appreciable by the people over who he has the influence. Now this influence can be used to target a set of people or a notion, it can be used as a boon or a bay, or a tool or weapon. These assumptions about perceptions, extraction of reality from abstractions too are caused by an exchange in ideas and thoughts over time in space. Hence so I believe that bodies are more than occupants of the earth, they exceed their limits and become unique walls of creative knowledge.

Asifa Rape case And Indian Political Opportunism
 Surender Negi
 14 April 2018

Original Blog#ASIFA was young 8 years native girl raped and killed in Jammu khathava district by people belongs to dogara community (another minor community) over beating case early this year. She was abducted by people on 10 January and her body found around 17 January in Forest in devasted condition. She belongs to bakarwala nomadic community. Her captive has been get JK police protection as one of the rapist was JK police member. Her case been systematically delayed and justice been denied. JK police SP started to framing Hindu Ekta much (a Kashmiri pundit organization which protest against KPs Exodus) because he is known for his pro-Pakistan slangs in JK.JKBC (Jammu Kashmir Bar console) and HEM (Hindu ekata munch) protest over illegal framing of people rather than real culprits of dogara community and demand (read again) for CBI probe for this case. As Soon as protest move, Indian Media (which usually keep their silence on Assam rape case and other cases which has a less Political orientation) surge the news by framing that protest as Hindu protest for saving culprits. The #Sickular media highlighted the details that “Rape done in Temple ” (like nothing ever happened ever other than temple ). In same case Unnnav, 16 years girl been rape and her father beats up by BJP MLA brother to death. This case was different, few dickhead members of BJO might have changed #JaiSreeRam during the protest in Unnah (not Kathava). But Indian Media slurring this news has started to report these two case in same articles which confused people that #JaiShreeRam was told by JKBC and HinduEktaMunch.BJP MLA captures by CBI early this morning and Asifa culprit is capture by JK police later on.POLITICAL OPPORTUNISMParty like Congress and Opposition, irrespective of condemning such rape cases started to use as Political opportunism (Trust me , if this would be Congress govt at center, BJP might be doing open pant protest than Congress). Rahul Gandhi and Man Mohan Singh who had been silent during Nirbhaya Rape Case. Started to act sensitive (after Dalit protest was over) about these rape cases. It’s good, I personally appreciate his gesture but My problem starts with that when addressing this rape culture of India they started to shoot govt by using rape case.Rahul Gandhi and BJP must understand that Rape, Murders crimes are not blaming and accusing of each other or setting benchmarks for each other rule failure. These are the serious problem of our society. The second odd thing which I found that #SelectiveOutrage. This is the most serious thing which is pumping right wings into power. Our Intellectual class and celebrity class live in different India. There selective outrage over only minorities Atrocities been noticed by Millions of people (especially Hindus ) who think that these gatekeepers of democracy is failed to understand their problems. From Kashmiri pundits, 1984 Sikhs riots, Assam rape case to Bengal riots, RSS people killing in Kerala… no justice has been served to them. They have been waiting that someone should also cry for that. But Intellectual class (might be funded by US think tank) maintaining their silence over Hindu Atrocities of the subcontinent. Many of us even don’t know that Mina (8 years Dalit Pakistani Hindu ) been gang rape and killed in similar fashion in Pakistan on March 21. But no Dalit and intellectual class ready to see Hindu atrocities. This making sure that Hindus been grouped like other community and rage case been raised because social justice hasn’t served equally to them. What about Assam rape case Victim- Why media is silence on Assam Rape case?POINT TO PONDER1. Political opportunism must be ended and “what about this ” kind of attitude must end. All Political parties and all intellectual must stand together for #AsifaBakkaerwal and #Mina. Review on the movie - Kahaani -2
 Harsha Darji
 20 April 2018

Everbody has 'kahaani' i.e stories to share in life, but their are few stories that are very heart touching, senstive, serious, reality & a matter of attention. I know we all have busy life, busy schedule & there many couples whose life depends on nanny, maids, day care for children etc. At times parents also leave their children at friends place, neighbours place or any relatives place without even having a thought tat whether my child would be safe or unsafe. The dirty mind belongs to strangers is true but we need to accept that even our own near & dear ones could have mind filled with shits & may try to harm your child, abuse your child. We teach many do's & dont's to our children but we forget to teach them a very important lesson that is of their own safety, yes safety of their body, lessons of good & bad touch. Make your child aware about gud & bad sign of touch, talk to them daily, have more conversation about school, teachers, bus drivers, auto driver etc. Parents must not forget that child abuse done by near & dear ones is not a matter to hide, ignore & make your child to suffer & get into pain or depression wherein he/ she cant tend to come out. We see & read many cases of child abuse in newspapers, televisions etc but we only get serious about it the day if any such incident takes place in our family. I request everyone do not wait for such cruel incidents to take place. Get alert & start talking & teaching your child today, coz precaution is better than cure. If any one comes across about any such incidents in schools, tutions, day care centers, NGO's one must immediately light such issues, investigate & inform the police. If we dnt act now than many such strangers will get more gutts to spoil life of several children. Your children are lucky coz they have parents like you to take stand & raise voice for them but there are many who do not have parents, they live in child ngo's, ashrams & have no one to share their pain. It's our moral duty to raise our voice & act against the child abuse. Be a friend to your child so that they can share entire routine & kahani of every day. I appreciate the director to take such a serious topic of 'child abuse' & highlighted the current rising issue for our children. There is a strong message to get serious about your child & their safety. Vidya was awesome the way she performed. It could have highlighted more such issues along with data from schools, child ngo's etc. I give 3.5 start to raise this topic in 'Kahaani -2' . It's a family movie so make sure your child also learns out of it. There is a message for all such strangers that, don't play with the life of any child or else accept death penalty or imprisonment for entire life. Even our judiciary laws must be strict & such person should straight away be sentenced to death.

Book Review: For A Girl In A Star By Ratna Chandu

For A Girl In A Star is written by Ratna Chandu.Book Title: For A Girl In A StarAuthor: Ratna ChanduFormat: Paper BackTotal Number of Pages: 224Language: EnglishPublisher: Srishti Publishers & DistributorsPublishing Date: 10 February 2018ISBN-10: 9387022153ISBN-13: 978-9387022157What do you do when your best friend – the one person who has stood byyou through thick and thin, knows you better than you know yourself, andliterally saved your life – falls in love with the same girl as you?Avinash and Sahas, two village boys, arrive in Bangalore in search of art andin pursuit of ambition. Sahas, hardworking and nervous, antonym to hisfriend, has emerged from a troubled past only to find that his future doesn’tcome without encumbrances. Their friendship is the one constant in thetwo boys’ lives, but that is tested when they each meet Aarti – a mysterious, compassionate, beautiful girl who captures both their imaginations andsets their hearts aflame. Will their passion for the same girl, and an untimely tragedy, sunder the twofriends forever?A compelling tale with twists and turns reminiscent of India’s melodramaticfilms, For a Girl in a Star deals with the age–old staples of young love, heartbreak, and what it means to be a true friend.Starting from the cover is eye catching. It’s not only the design work but also the substance of the Story as well. Just look at the design, there is a couple and a guy which is going away from the couple. The view is simply amazing. The title of the novel is thoughtful, and completely justifying the story. They complement each other well and also is according to the story, so it’s a perfect combination. The story revolves on love triangle with the lives main protagonist Avinash (Avi), Sahas and Aarti. Avi & Sahas, both belonged to the same village Agumbe. Since their early childhood, they were the best buddies of each other and the depth of their friendship was beyond of any imagination. Since the time Avi saved Sahas’s life from drowning in his childhood, Sahas devoted his unconditional friendship to him and soon with time, their bond became inseparable. Aarti was a girl, full of life, with a caring and sensible heart, mature thoughts and kind nature. Her beauty of heart got reflected in her outer appearance also.Aarti and Sahas are in the same college. With continuous interactions, and close encounters, even a shy personality like Sahas also had fallen head over hills for Aarti, but due to lack of courage, he could not get the chance to express his true feelings in front of Aarti. Aarti considered Sahas as a very good & genuine close friend, but she was unaware completely about the feelings of Sahas for her.Sleep felt like a faraway dream since he meet her…Destiny made Avi too crossed his path with Aarti suddenly in an awkward situation, and soon after the first sight, Avi noticed the actually inner beauty of that Aarti possessed and curiosity stuck him. Not one time, but frequently, and after a point, Avi got the chance to interact with Aarti directly. Though their initial interactions was one sided, but soon, after realizing the talent of Avi, and seeing the mesmerizing art of Avi, and his inner simplicity of heart, she started to admire him. With time, they got very close to each other and love blossomed inside the heart of both of them. Even their love for each other made them to take a step further. It is the destiny which turns out to be so cruel that it brings so much misunderstanding in the life of two childhood friends who fall in love with the same girl. It happens in movies that two boys of different worlds find one girl and fall in love with. Talk about coincidence but it happens with these childhood friends. And of course, this love-triangle drives a wedge between them. The story revolves around their struggles and the way they cope up with grief and situations. The story makes you smile in the first half and leaves you sobbing in the second half, the story is narrated in such a manner that everything you read can be visualized.Life sometimes throws you encounters only to leave you indelible memoriesLanguage is simple and lucid to read and connect with the story and being engaged throughout the story.  Characters are also clearly justified to their respective roles and all of the characters mentioned in the book have been portrayed in such a way, that any reader will be able to connect with the characters effortlessly and live the journey with them. It’s a combination of emotions, revenge, friendship, realization, redemption, love, true love, pain, joy, happiness, laughter, family, fate & many other elements infused together. However, the editing errors including spelling and grammatical errors are numerous.  I had learned the true meaning of friendship from the book.Recommended to all bibliophiles.Overall 5/5 StarsAbout the AuthorRatna Chandu was born and brought up in Hyderabad and did her engineering in mechanical. "If I think back, I get depressed, if I think ahead I get afraid."-----------------------------------------------------------------------What I am writing I don't know but have some strong feeling for writing so I let my hand write.....I think I should write about some terms in life which are compelling...1. Affection Basically, we will get it from our family like grand parent's affection, cousin's affection, parent's etc . sometimes people show some fake affection and we believe them too much when they kick then we get our own station. That's why making a limited distance from everyone otherwise you will be in pain.2.Kindness 10% people of this world who believe in this hearty. Otherwise, everybody engaged in selfishness. There is no need to tell how to kind because It happens frequently.3. TrustThe most important thing in life is to believe someone unconditionally.Always think twice before trusting anyone. Now a day it's petrific to trust . so always take right decision because sometimes we get knowledge after an excruciation situation.4.LoveIt's really an amazing term of life. It's a blessing from our supreme God. Everyone gets it at least once in their life but the actual thing is to detect your feelings towards it, as per ur feelings u should accept it otherwise reject it politely. But it's true -everyone gets this chance at least once. Now a day it's very cheap, if u have Money along with Beauty then u will get easily so choose ur #betterhalf perfectly because it's your life and you are going to spend everything on it what u have, that may be relations, money, time, heart, etc...Love the man/girl who loves u don't go after any fairytale/Prince charming of your dream. 😀5. HateIt's my favorite term but now a day, I am concentrating on changing it. Don't hate anyone for their behavior, because as per our situation we behave. so keep patience, give time to realize. Nothing is impossible in this world if u have a strong feeling to change.6. RespectGive respect to everyone who belongs to u even if child also. Give it to your heart, don't try to show off your fake respect if u don't have. If u disappoint anyone they don't feel shame to say sorry because sometimes this little word "Sorry " more powerful than our mistakes.7. Forgiveness Always try to forgive and thankful to everyone for whom u get sorrowful condition because then only u can learn to manage more things by yourself.8. Promises Don't do any kind of promise that feels bad each and every time. Promise only that things which you can do by putting your all efforts. Which can only give real happiness!9. ThinkingDon't think negative aspect of anything in starting, think like positive then u can see the beauty of life. Don't think anyone bad because sometimes our situation and our surrounding make us bad. So try to understand everything and do as per ur condition. So many people thinking like this -"As a girl/boy he/she should not do this thing or that thing, What others think about me if I do this and all, etc etc ." Don't think like this, think like an open-minded.One more thing how can I forget ! 😁 that is the best medicine for everything. i. e Smile10.Smile 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀A smile doesn't mean to show ur teeth always. 😂Use it to change the world don't let the world change it. If anyone scolds and scares u then just do one thing, listen what he/she saying then Smile a bit then u feel everything is ok & then other people change their behavior. (It proved, I already tried it so many times basically I use it for my parents.  😀)( my purpose of sharing is to rectify myself and trying to spread a nice day for everyone.)

How about a snowy affair the winters? How about getting lost in mountains and finding yourself? Maybe, somewhere you belong. Somewhere you can find the best views of the Himalayas. Somewhere, you can do self-introspection peacefully in one of the best campsites in India. Trust me the, prettiest. Just imagine the campsites nestled in snow-covered pine trees. Shrouded by pine forests, and snowfall makes the view much more spectacular. Powdery and surreal it is! Sounds like a fairy tale? It doesn't only sound like a fairy tale but the whole views of Kedarkantha trek are like a dreamscape. You will be witnessing the union of the blue horizon with snowy peaks. You will feel liberated, far away from the city chaos. How often you look out of the window and crave from something surreal? How often do you take that fresh chilled breeze inside you? How often your heart wish to spend time with oneself? How often do you feel that you need a break from all the mess? How often your heart longs to express more? How often do you feel the silence? How often do you feel like that you just need to gaze the stars and loosen yourself a bit?Want to be one of the free and liberated soul? Let's go to one of the most beautiful trails. This is the easy one which gives the most kaleidoscopic view of Himalayas. The trails go through forests and hanging rhododendrons. The verdant green forests, a myriad collection of flora and fauna, what a delightful moment it will be to walk on such trail? This trek can also be done by people who don't have any prior trekking experience. And you will witness three most prominent peaks like Swargorohini, Kalanag, and Bandarpoonch. Awe-struck right? You will be literally amazed. The trek starts from Sankri village of Uttrakhand. From Sankri you got to trek for 4-5 hours to reach another base camp of Juda ka Talab ( It's frozen, during winters). walking trails become bit steep as you will continue to gain height.  From Juda ka Talab to kedarkantha basecamp it will take almost 3 hours to reach. Fron Kedarkantha basecamp to the summit is gonna take 6-7 hours. and you will be exposed to the best views.  And the weather is completely unpredictable. But you gotta push yourself a bit hard, to witness the jaw-dropping beauty, which will leave you speechless.  As it is said, the view comes after the hardest climb. So this winter brace up for some new adventure with the best views, from ascending slopes to lush green meadows, from bit steep to plain trails. This trek has everything.

But a turning point in their lives sets them apart, with their soul still united and strong. Experience a roller coaster of emotions in this story. Find out how Sushil changed into a successful person from an ordinary boy.My TakeStarting from the title of the book You Are the best thing That Happened to Me gives the hint’s to readers it’s going to be a love story. The title is apt according to the plot.  It’s been said that never judge a book cannot be judged by looking at its cover alone but I personally feel cover can be much better to catch attraction among readers. The story starts with an award function where our protagonist Sushil Pandit receives an award for best employee of the year 2016. Sushil Pandit is a mechanical engineer by profession and author of two bestselling novels. He has achieved everything in life except the love of his life. After the function on his way to home he happens to meets Anuradha a journalism student who doing some research on authors. Anuradha wants to know more about Sushi’s life after achieving everything in life he is incomplete.  Then the story enters into the flashback memories of when he was in school. Sushil joins a coaching center with his friends to improve grades in subject. There he meets Anjali for the first time and felt attracted towards her. Later Anjali and Sushil become best friends who can understand each other well. Sushil was confused with his feelings towards Anjali is it love or attraction? Ashish and Anjali are they both equally important to him he can’t even think of losing one for other. On the other hand Ashish had a crush on Anjali. To know more what happened next to Sushil read the book. The author had beautifully weaved the struggles of every middle class family, the family bonding, surprise birthday celebration of Anjali at tuition center, hang outs with friends, decision to choose between career and love, struggles after college, job hunt and many more incidents. I love how cunning crafted the mother and sons bonding.Language of the book is lucid and written in a simple way to comprehend for any kind of reader. A book which won’t require the use of a dictionary, a book which evens an amateur reader would love to get indulged in. The pace of the story is slow and kept dragging at some time. The characters are well developed and one can easily relate them.  Narration of the book is simple and engaging. A few typographical errors here and there need to be rectified. If the edit was done properly, the story would have sounded much better. If the Hindi dialogues were translated into English it was much better since everyone will not able to understand it.I recommend this book to the readers who are seeking for a quick read or a light-hearted romantic novel.Overall 3/5 StarsGrab the copy here- Amazon |FlipkartAbout the AuthorSushil Kumar Rana is a Mechanical Engineer work in an MNC company in Odisha. I am no hard core feminist you people, but it is evident that our society is ready for many more Kathuas to encounter, so bear me for this one. I believe that the space we are living in is not a perfect and pragmatic Indian institution, rather a street that tastes damp and sticky sweet and is a disguised ideal society, if viewed from a distance. We are still residing in the streets of atrocity since for a major part of us, women are mere humans. Oh wait, do they even fall into the category of humans, who have so ecstatically accepted the standards of behaviour which are highly dependent on the gender one belongs to. Let's wake up and accept that women are not disposable glasses or puppets in the hands of demons always ready to control them. When my parents tell me not to stay out of place after it strikes 12, it is a big moment to ponder whether the modern India we get to hear in speeches is spreading like a wildfire, or is it just a manifestation of our so called developed minds disguised in the dust of prejudices. Our eyes never got weary awaiting for change, but we can expect women to cook on fire, yet reckless we are to sense the fire within them. What is the point of talking about equality or liberation in textbooks when our mind lies in orthodox principles. Our heart wants to be the frontier of change but is reluctant due to the fear of losing the tag of following the mainstream. Respect women, not because you have been imparted that knowledge, or because your mother is one. Respect women, for at the end of the day, they are humans. They face inequality which rises from your delusions. You may cut me with your words all you want. The fact remains, I am a woman.

Historic Day 2 of Poetry world cup award ceremony 2018

The day 2 of the Poetry world cup award ceremony again started with a bang where few local singer performed solo rock performances and the foreign poets were again asked to join in Prayers, song and lyrics happening around as all had been fresh and had just finished breakfast before joining such a ceremony. However it was a much highly expected official day and hence the people who were administrating had been busy more often than not and had been working entirely to focus on the award distribution that would take place in the 2nd session of the day. It also meant that in 1st session there would be more activity around, But before all that process to follow, the Higher official delegates and administrators of Romania and Bulgaria were witnessed on stage speaking to all writers and they talked about peace and harmony amongst all the hearts which was great in all respects.Once that process had been done, it was now time for some activities by those who had been invited for receiving the award and it was great advantage for all of us as we were asked by the officials to join together in alphabetical order on the stage and get together for a common photo session first and then have some literary presentation for the crowd gathered so we were asked to entertain them with our presence noticed. What this literary presentation meant was that the authors/poets had to recite one of the poems they had submitted for the poetry championship and they were asked to sing it rather than only read it which was going to be more interesting and it was great environment starting to build as the poets gathered,, climbed the another dace one by one and recited their poems. It was not only making a great atmosphere of peace and harmony but was also responded by huge cheer and applauses with coffee and chocolates being served around that was unique way to start and get things on way. However when the announcer called my name, I got bit surprised as I was expecting person sitting on my front row to go  so the way I glimpsed back made other surprised as well and As I wanted there was some laughter which I have always liked to associate myself to make people laugh no matter whatever serious the mood to be. However I was ready and I went on with my poem instructing the Keyboard player what music I wanted and rhymed it on stage with good response and huge cheer. Not only I was getting happy to witness what was happening around, But I was feeling like I belonged to this place which was great and hence once I stepped back and was guided back to my place by some of my poet friends I was asked to join in Chocolate chips which I accepted happily. Hence the 1st official task for the foreign poets went well and I cheered in the speeches made by delegates before and at the end of function and at it's end after 2 hour show down It was called lunch so I went back to cafeteria in great spirits around. Although as the afternoon was progressing and the lunch had ended, the groups have started to chat and they all showed appreciations to the authorities who had taken charge to perform such a huge award ceremony and It was great fun to listen things all around. Once we went back to the auditorium on the ground floor next to the Momentum sphere building it was irry and peaceful once again with hardly voices going across and they were gurgling loud. Everyone sitting as poet had started to consider  his or her position as the time had passed very quick and since then they all had been expecting to get some sort of award as it was all happening here so not taking much time the proceeding  were announced by the Compare and we seated in lines and alphabetical order and applauded the delegates who again started the formal task by explaining what these awards matter to each and every poet so it was becoming such an environment now which nobody can wish to miss for ever. Before  the award receiving ceremony could be started, A brief short film was produced by the organisers which was based on 'World order and it's current stage' with globalisation coming to the fourfront and recognising it's proceeding. IN the starting and final scene of the film, Few words were exchanged by the experts of photography and cinema as they explained why those scenes were there and once that had been done they started to chant about the Award ceremony to proceed that was what for which we all had gathered and it was going to be a cracker. Finally the moment was coming closer and the Announcer on the mike was asking we the poets to be ready according to the category to be in line and make sure that things become with formal process and right decision making. To give the Awards, the highest dignitaries of the Balcan countries have been gathered together and hence there were categories like 'Naturalist poet', 'Humour', 'Dystopia', 'Non Fiction', 'Rising Poet', 'Impressed in Early age', 'Revolutionary', 'Balcanist', 'Secularist', 'Globalised' and so many other. In total around 23 poets were going to receive the awards and it would happen on basis of the category whereby I was going to be awarded 'Gustav Icalnou medal' which is named after the famous Romanian poet Icalnu who rose in middle age and hence this poetry award is awarded for 'Rising poet' across the globe which was not far from me now and I was getting more nervous an was asking for chilled milk again which was provided and I am thankful to the authorities for managing me around. Although Once the process started all the chill and raspness has gone from all the poets who were going to receive the awards and it was happening very fast and in rapid succession as the poet or poetess who was getting award on basis of the category would go on stage, would shake hand with the delegates, and would speak few word of his or her choice, an then lifting the bag with Award and prize money would come back to his or her seat. On the basis of the category when my name was called a huge roar erupted across all the stages and in the building and it was really pleasing to listen out as I was welcomed on dace and I shook hands with the Romanian dignitaries who presented me the bag with award and prize money and hence My  dream seems to be coming true and coming so close. I stood in front and lifted the mike to speak to the crowd that gurgled, and for a minute I let them celebrate and  shout, and then talked with them about why we poets need to continue to hold the thread of 'social bonding' and why it is most essential for all of writing community. Once the noise had silence a bit, they started to listen me closer and as I spoke further it became quiet as they gave their attention and listened to my words where I mentioned the role of writers, The power of digital sphere, the collective attempt, and competitions like World Poetry championship and ultimately why this passion should be with all of us. They clapped at the end, I turned to have a photograph with the officials and one of their juniors assisted me back with my goodies from the stage and I again ordered Chilled milk to have that calmness. Hence after that, remaining poets did the same, came to stage and enjoyed as I did and once the award distribution was over the delegates announced the final release of the Official pamplate notifying the success of award event which was phenomenal.  We all again went back to cafeteria to have a short supper, I shook hands with all winners and group photo clicks with them, enjoyed the Vegetarian deserts and in the early dusk the pleasant wind felt great to me as I walked and along side walked few Indians who I have met in my visit here. They congratulated with great spirits so with them I went back to my hotel after the final proceedings had been accomplished and one more memorable moment has been added to my life's chapter...

Importance:How oxygen, food & water are essential for our survival same way celebration of national festival is essential for our existance in this world. It fulfill us with patriotism whichbring along a spirit of love and devotion for the country also National Festival strengthen the social relations and communications which leads to unity among people and also bring us more closer to our nation which is helpful in promoting the national harmony. Independence Day, 15th August celebration is a way to remind the people about our hard earned freedom and that we must respect and value it more. It inspires people to stay united and serve the country in every possible way. It is a day to celebrate the true spirit of freedom.  It is of great importance to all the Indian citizens, thus everyone actively participates in the national festival celebration every year. Independence Day reminds us of the heroic deeds of our leaders and freedom fighters who helped us attain freedom. This is  the main reason why we celebrate our national festivals with pride and love for our country. If our brave freedom fighters would not have been sacrificed we would not have even been able to breathe freely in our country. Forget about the national festival celebration  our revered religious festivals would also not have been possible. On this day : India celebrates three National Festivals – Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. We the citizens of India celebrate these festivals with full fervour. For India, 15 August is a golden day of her re-birth, a new start. At the midnight of 15 August 1947, the British rulers handed the country back to its Indian leaders, ending a remarkable 200 years old struggle and India became a sovereign nation. Independence Day is celebrated by every citizen of India irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The Prime Minister of India hoists the Indian National Flag from Red Fort every year. This is followed by 21 gun shots to salute and honour the Indian flag and solemn occasion. The Prime Minister then addresses the citizens of the country. Numerous events are organized in various places throughout the country in entire atmosphere is infused with love and devotion for the country.  Many educational institutes also organize kite flying competitions which is also a way of expressing the  freedom.    We honour these noble souls by singing songs and poems in their praise. It is a great site to see little children dressed up as various freedom fighters on this day. In short, every person in the country revels in the nationalistic pride.Several cities in the United States have declared 15 August as 'India Day'.Relevance :In present scenario it is very much relevent because it reminds us and repicturise the secrifices of our freedom fighters which inspire us to maintain our freedom and do our best for our motherland . Patriotism doesn’t require a special date or occasion to express itself. The only thing needed is that we should have immense amount of love and respect for our country. We should not confined patriotism to these selected days only and national festival celebration doesn’t only mean flag hoisting, singing our national anthem and participating in competition on subjects of nationality but it will be worth celebrating if practically we take care of everything like plantation, garbage cleaning, recycling, rejuvenating our mother rivers ,protecting our forests , providing healthy and encouraging environment to growing children, respecting our elders, maximum utilisation of renewable energy resources. If through out the year we do all these definitely we will feel proud while flag hoisting and that will be real tribute to our revered freedom fighters. During our freedom fighter’s time Britishers were our biggest and worst enemy but in today’s scenario corruption, poverty, environment problems and many more big issues are our worst enemies which we have to eradicate. When we remember our national heroes, their working policies it guides us in dealing present crisis. So it is very much relevant to celebrate our national festivals because it invokes the feeling of patriotism in the people of our country and inspire them to become soldier. Our heroes ideology leads us  on every step and inspire us to work towards its betterment and development and also gives  a sense of belonging and a responsibility towards our country. Many questions arise in our citizens mind like- Has India’s growth happened in real sense? India is independent in manufacturing and producing many technical and industrial goods. We can take pride in the space technology and development in this field. But growth of any country is this all about? all these growth  matter less until all the problems related to humanity is solved in real sense. Like this question arise in every citizen’s mind and live example of this is mushrooming NGOs in india which are crusaders of humanity. To encourage them and motivate them several awards are there for such crusader in  India. Do we really love our country? If it would have been true our news papers would not have been filled more than 50% with demotivating news. Whenever we celebrate independence day this question arise in every citizen’s mind and force them to do conscious efforts towards positive growth of our beloved country.Celebrating independence day don’t allow us to divert from our right path but encourage us to take up new resolution every year  for our motheland’s real growth. I feel proud to be Indian because our country has taught us that the meaning of life is not only to live but live with dignity, respect others rights and understand own duties and responsibilities.                                        JAI HIND !

Reality in Mythology

Myths are some historical fictional stories which provide us apparently unreal though unexplored assumptions. They provide us many truths but mostly they are overshadowed by its unreal fantasies. So we never try to understand the inner meaning of the Mythology blaming its misleading approach to Knowledge and Truth. It first influence an individual by its seductive charm and gradually to the group which he belongs and becomes part of religion. Myths often contribute heavily to our perceptions of how the world works. We may not see the incidents what is written in Mythology but always felt a great mysterious  presence of reality in those divine or demonic deeds as in our lives. Myths emphasize the invisible, yet they also hint that mythic reality strongly influences everyday human life.Myth appears itself as simple stories but corresponds with our life, psychology, moral codes, Philosophy and Truth. They reveal the power of love, the violence of men, the mystery of death, relations between God and Human, and give us the answers of many Great questions but Different myth tackles these great questions in very distinctive ways.In case of analyzing Myth, we need to have courage to question belief and reality. Now the question comes how belief works? In reality mostly belief doesn’t base on Logic but some authoritative advice which people believe unconsciously, in other way Fact is provable. You dont need any faith to believe a fact. But the dynamic process of telling, listening, and reflection that continually shapes and reshapes people's beliefs about the unseen powers and forces at work in their daily lives.Mythic traditions are not simply a thing of the past but present as well . The primary sources assigned for this course, moreover, offer a glimpse of other culture's ancient stories as they not only survive, but also transform and grow in the modern period. Over thousand years ago myth was the only way to give people knowledge about the world and life but it has changed its presentation through time. That we need to understand .in modern age we discovered science to reveal the knowledge of physical things on earth. Myth did same thousand years ago. The truth is one but shown in different way.We sometime think that reality is only based on the subject we believe. And what all people say are wrong. But reality is too complex to be grasped by means of any one method of analysis. Reality is the combination of many truths concurrently. For them, stories about mythic worlds were in an important sense more real than accounts of observable facts. Yet they also pointed out hidden connections between invisible realities and the ordinary people, places, things and events that they and their audiences daily experienced. But only true visionaries can see that invisible reality exist beyond it. Myth can instruct by going beyond literal truth. Mythic storytelling also continues to evolve in efforts to explore the spiritual dimension often hidden by ordinary perception.  Myth gives us many times false massages but only to disguise the truth. Some Christians may say that, it is the Post modern Dilemma where we question Eternal being. But I believe we have right to question as we have freedom to have free will.Such stories often convey important moral lessons, and bring to light important yet otherwise abstract psychological issues and moral dilemmas. The superhero and fantasy science fiction stories enjoyed by older children as well as adults explore more complex notions such as destiny and the vastness of time, highlighting the subtleties of trying to do the right thing in a complex world. Even Legends in Mythology  do usually tell of such people interacting with unseen beings forces; the heroes in legends thus often serve as models for the way anyone might themselves interact with the mysterious aspects of their daily life experience. It symbolically depicts what is invisible to most.which only visionaries can see.

On Parenting

On ParentingIn India most of the people leaves their baby home alone so they can earn money to make assure their children's future by providing them material security ,this makes them feel the most successful parents .But this concept is 80% wrong, because it makes them overprotective in every way,and they very like to coddle up their children that ruin their mental freedom .Every parents wants their child in their image, this is natural but what they want is to see their children like a baby with tottering legs even he is 30 years old or married. If they can never give freedom even in their mind, then how a child can taste freedom in reality.Every child is born with their natural instinct,if their qualities are not nurtured well ,situation could be catastrophic. So every parent should allow their individualities to grow freely ,they need to accept whoever he or she is going to become. But to make them steady and wise they need to build some moral codes, some rules which helps them to be very straight and strong in mind.Time can change everything,it effects everything but it can't change someone's psych if those moral pillers are strong enough. The most common reason which ruins a child is a bad marriage.Teenage people wrongly caught up in spell called Love without knowing what it is.then they desperately wants to be a father or mother.which is completely wrong decision.when the spell is Broken they start doing compromise with their life but That child here becomes a victim of their situation,my question to them if you are so unwise about love and and future you hold then why you waste another life?.When a child grows up their physical dependencies turns into emotional dependencies. At the time when it wants to be free in its thoughts and emotions they find unhappiness in their family that made them caged in theirselves.because it can't share what it has inside and slowly die in silence,or goes into wrong hands.A child is very similar to an old person.both physically and mentally they are very vulnerable.they require special care in both aspect.but a child is more sensitive cause he is going to be a man one day.So your upbringing would decide what kind of person you want to make.Every parents should study their children's behaviors, the way they react to certain situations. Some time you need to create situation to study the way your child thinks because every child is born with different instinct so their actions might differ.Every minor response from them is important who knows which might reveal their biggest strength.A parent can only be best friend if they try a little bit to modernize their thoughts to cope up with their child. So they can understand whatever happens he or she will take care of me.but in 99% of cases they failed cope up with their new perceptions because they belong to a different time.Another thing is every parent should spend at least three hours a week to teach them about life.telling them some stories about positivity, and being strong in morality.something which they can apply in their life.you can say that we pay school for education , but they can't teach your child like you can.learning is not only about academic excellence but having true perceptions about life. Most of parents don't have time for this, but it's an important lesson which any parent needs to start from the age of 4,they may not remember the whole story but that lesson will always be in their subconscious mind.Which effects the way they are going to think and see things in their vision.Their are other Environmental factors which effects in certain ways but Home is the first school and parents are first teachers.

When back in April 2019 I got great response from organisers of such a great award ceremony, i didn't have any idea that I shall get such a great response and support even being a visually impaired and Today I am delighted to be part of such fond memories here in sinaia in Romania that is a prominent cultural hub and provide phenomenal cultural eminence. To present a basic outline, This ceremony is for prize distribution of Awards for European Poetry championship of 2019 but It shall also represent some book launches, official moments, musical events and touring hot spots and hence it is going to be historic for sure. It generally established itself in early beginning from press note of the official organisers, the launch of the festival anthology and musical performances of two famous Italian names that make it a cracker. And from there on things started to span out in phenomenal colour and response that were certainly delightful to be part of as a great legacy. Further on more official steps took place, people from various countries introduced to each other and it was formal mood in it's early beginning from 1400 hours on 4th of may 2019 on it's first opening day for sure. Once that was done it was time for Writer's colloquiums on first historic day and that is what I looked for as a poet or author attending such meet at large. Generally here has to be four different colloquium sessions in which 1st has been devoted to the Balcan touch including writers from prominent countries, second is focused upon countries that are closer to Russian federation, third goes on with writers from big european countries to act upon and the last one has been with Immigrent countries which are popular but not belong to Europe with their writers getting chance. And hence it is a great environment for a visually impaired author like me to meet with all of them and make the most of such great award ceremony that shall go on for 2 days. Now coming to the four sessions that were very high of standard and where I really appreciated the way response was available to have most of it- such sessions had general theme divided in four different subsessions and certain countries were going to take part diversely by their own strides in different forms of literature represented by their writers that was going to make it a great one for sure. The first session had Balcan countries in focus and countries like Servia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Romania, Bulgaria and Montenegro were on stage where they presented Poetry as their core focus and thrilled us with great percentage of performance. Once they had done in the first session and photo clicks were taken, The countries that has closer affinity to Russian heartland came to stage including Albania, Azarbaizan, Bellarous, Moldavia, Poland and Sweedon and they took story writing as their core presentation to respond which was also exciting to listen out and have great response. Once their impact has been covered the 'Big ticket nations' of Europe took centre stage including England, Germany, Italy, Luxoumberg, Turkey and Mesidonia and their plays were phenomenal to watch that made it a cracker. Finally the Immigrant nation came to fourfront at the last session including Iraq, israel, India and Kroetia represented them as nation observing the core discussion where these four nations discussed the existence of writing, why it is valuable and how to present the core intensity to save writing culture which was a great experience altogether. Ultimately the evening was over with laughter and jokes amongst newly made friends, the joy was on great glow and the moment of award ceremony was coming closer as the next day was approaching for which we all have to wait one more day and the prominent galore shall come to impact very soon. The first day ended with the local vegetarian feast for we who like it the most, photo clicks amongst all the representatives from all countries and it was almost phenomenal knowing so many people from Europe for me as a visually impaired author that made the day. Though there is one more glorious day coming, It was a day I shall remember for long as a person. And by shaking hands all around, knowing that more trust has been gained and with more respect for each other we went to our places of stay and it was over for the moment of it with patience for the next day of office of culture coming at large...

This award in romanian language is commonly known as 'Pentru cel mai bun poet al comunita-ii asiatice' Honour and has been a great one to have as a poet for any Asian born person. It is generally given to those people who have suffered any challenge in their lives belonging to the Prominent Asian continent and still come out of that making a phenomenal remark for themselves by contributing to culture, literature or in the academic field. In this way this is an award that gives empowerment to certain cultural sectors in Asia and it is for the community's power through recognising them by appreciating their potential for which it is ultimately presented. The award basically contains a shield with a medal with symbol of 'Falcun' on one side and of 'climbing birds' on other side that represents flight sorted out with challenge. A strong prize money also given to apreciate the contributions done by those certain persons appreciating his or her commitment in their prominentn field by their hard work being paid off. And the letter of appreciation by the jury that  gives the same in sinaia in Romania on a certain huge ocasion to recognise the virtual representation of such affiliation for which it is ultimately presented to the recipient presenting the virtual impact for his or her great commitments. I was asked during the invite of the European Poetry championship award ceremony to specify my presence which is to say that I should express my views on the certain award which I mentioned that should be better if it is kept secret and I should come to know about it later once I have been part of fond memories and hence it was agreed and I was yet unaware of the award till the early afternoon of the 1st day of the Poetry award ceremony which was also good being patient. Once I was cornered by the European jury, explained that such award titled 'Best Asian community poet award' shall be on my name and I shall receive it on the 2nd day's award ceremony thence my joy was infinite and It was extremely greatful to all of them. I thanked the lord, my parents and family, gratified poets and author and as well as expressed my joy to the jury who has confirmed and they were equally delightful that made the day first on 4th of May coming to know that such certain award shall be presented to me on eve of 5th of May. Though one thing I made clear that I would not take the heavy prize money offered with it thus satisfied with letter of appreciation and the medal, and that shall go to the contributions of literary communities in Balcan core and difficultly though the jury agreed calling the representatives core who's joy was also on top and hence it was great to be part of such happy moment altogether. In the speech that followed when I was receiving the award, there were things I wished to convey to the writer's community and thence understanding my intentions the award handing team provided me the mike to speak out with galore and joy to express for which I was up to the core. I spoke about the culture of preserving human rights, Talked how culture of writing can be inspired and protected, explained that why Certain communities need to contribute in writing for their ultimate existence, and after thanking everyone with huge cheer and loud clappings all around it was over. I followed the volunteers who have taken me to the podium, asked them to help me out with the wait of the award's trophy which they did greatly, and after all things were rightly managed I went back to my position. Thus having such an award like 'Best Asian Community poet award' is one more memory for me to cherish and I shall keep it in my mind forever as I witnessed other poets/writers receiving their awards and I clapped in their turn like they have done for me that made it a great moment in the validictory function at large...

Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.12
 Dhwani Shah
 31 May 2019

Need And Desire - In Gita Verse 1.12 Then Bhīṣma, the great valiant grandsire of the Kuru dynasty, the grandfather of the fighters, blew his conch shell very loudly, making a sound like the roar of a lion, giving Duryodhana joy. When Bhīṣma blew his conch shell very loudly, making a sound like the roar of a lion, conveyed a message to both the sides of his determination, focus, control, pride and leadership.Message to both the sides was the same but how it was received was different.Duryodhana immediately expressed his joy, before the war started. This indicates he is more eager to fight than to become objective about it. His focus was not on his present moments act but on his desire.Needs can be fulfilled, but desires or wants cannot be. Desire is a need gone haywire. Needs are simple, they come from nature; desires are very complex they don't come from nature. They are created by the mind. Needs are moment to moment, they are created out of life itself. Desires are not moment to moment, they are always for the future. They are not created by life itself, they are projected by the mind.Desires are projections, they are not really needs. This is the first thing to be understood, and the deeper you understand, the better. What is desire? It is movement of the mind into the future. Need belongs to this moment — if you are hungry it is a need, and has to be fulfilled. and it can be fulfilled. There's no problem about it. If you are thirsty, you are thirsty here and now, you have to seek water. It should be fulfilled — so it is a life need. But desires are not like that.Remember, needs are always here and now — they are existential. And desires are never here and now — they are non-existential. They are just mental, in the mind. And they cannot be fulfilled because their very nature is to move into the future. They are just like the horizon you see. It seems that it is nearby somewhere the earth meets the sky. It is so apparent! You can walk there! But you could go on walking forever and ever, and the distance will remain the same; always somewhere ahead the earth will be meeting the sky. But you will never reach that place, that point where the earth meets the sky. They never meet. This is just an illusion, what Hindus call MAYA: it appears, but it is not so. It appears if you are standing at a distance. The nearer you come the more you realise that it is not so. The horizon moves further ahead, and the distance between you and it always remains the same.Needs are simple. They can be fulfilled. You feel hungry and you eat; you feel thirsty and you drink; you feel sleepy, you go to bed.Desires are very cunning and complex. You are frustrated, but not because of needs. You are frustrated because of desires. And if desires take too much of your energy you will be unable to fulfill your needs also, because who is there to fulfill them? You are moving into the future; you are thinking of the future; your mind is dreaming.Who is there to fulfill ordinary needs of the day? You are not there. And you would like to remain hungry but reach the horizon. You would like to postpone needs so that the whole energy moves towards the desire. But in the end, you find that the desire is not fulfilled, and because needs have been neglected, in the end you are just a ruin. And the time that is lost cannot be regained; you cannot go back. There is a story about a old wise man, whose name was Mencius. He was a follower of Confucius and he died when he was very old. Somebody asked him: If you were given life again, how will you start it?Said Mencius: I will pay more attention to my needs and less attention to my desires. And this realisation will come to you also. But it always comes very late and then life is no more in your hands. If you were given life again….Needs are beautiful; desires are ugly. Needs are bodily; desires are psychological.Pandava also heard the conch shell blown by Bhīṣma and they did not shown any joy or eagerness. It was a challenge for them with all the preparation, managing their resources, still the challenge would be whether they would be able to fight without enmity or not. For them the war was not for winning and losing it was about fighting with or without enmity. This had made them silent. Indication of silent was not cowardice but that they were connected to their subjectivity.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.5
 Dhwani Shah
 2 July 2019

Dignity - In Gita Verse 2.5 It would be better to live in this world by begging than to live at the cost of the lives of great souls who are my teachers. Even though desiring worldly gain, they are superiors. If they are killed, everything we enjoy will be tainted with blood. This word of Arjuna clearly come from mental laziness. He did not want to think. What I meant by, he did not want to think is - from the objective world one needs to return to the subjective world, which is connected to universe, after the observation of the fact without any judgement, then with connection with universe, which has higher intelligence, in which everything is included from love, one needs to think. That thinking has compassion for self and for others.Buddha also thinks and we too think , then what is the difference. Difference is from where we think. When you think from objective world it is bound to be judgemental, with opinion, etc. But when you return from objective world connected with your subjectivity then your thinking has universal wisdom and compassion in it. When Buddha thinks he didn’t have any agenda and expectations from his thinking. Yes he had a goal, but not an agenda.First thing, never resist the thinking but direction of the thinking needs to be changed. If you change the direction your thinking will become incapable of making you unconscious. With your thinking we become unconscious because our thinking is from objective world without returning to subjective world and connecting with the universe, in the process we follow the thinking. When we connect ourselves with our subjectivity and then think then it is universal thinking and thinking will follow us.What is the difference between thinking from objective world and thinking from subjective world:When thinking is from objective world - it is carrying with it all the emotions, attachments, judgements, opinion etc. When thinking is from subjective world - it is carrying detachments, compassion, self-dignity, etc.Self-Dignity is very humble, very simple, very innocent; it belongs to the trees. When they blossom in spring, you just look and watch their pride, their dignity. Just watch when a peacock is dancing. Those psychedelic colors, and the beautiful dance ... do you think there is any ego? But there is certainly dignity.Dignity is a totally different phenomenon, it is self-respect. Ego is domination over others. Dignity is just standing on your own feet, independent , freedom; it is not domination over others. The moment you start thinking of dominating, you are falling into the trap of the ego. And God is the greatest ego because he created everything, he dominates everything. He is present everywhere, he is all-powerful. And his reflection in the priests ... The pope claims that he is infallible. Now this is ego.A man of dignity, a man of self-respect will not say such things. Certainly he will walk straight with his head raised in dignity. He will not walk like a slave, surrendered, subdued. He will walk like a lion and roar like a lion. But that is your intrinsic energy, your intrinsic power. The power that depends on others creates the ego. The power that comes from within your own sources of life creates dignity. Meditation brings tremendous dignity, a great grace, but not even a shadow of ego is found in it.If you are capable of murdering God, you will certainly be capable of murdering his image in you. In fact, the moment God is no longer there, you will suddenly be surprised. Where has the ego gone? If the moon is not there, the reflection in the lake of the moon will disappear.Egos are reflections of one moon in different ponds, in different lakes, in different oceans, in different rivers - millions of reflections. But just remove the moon and all the reflections are removed. You don't have to remove every reflection. It will take millennia to remove all those reflections. And in fact, if the moon remains, you cannot remove the reflections.Once God is removed, you will simply find your ego is gone. It was the shadow, the reflection of God. And then you will find a totally new phenomenon, a dignity which is not a domination over others, which is not superiority over others. It is simply the joy that existence loves you, that existence creates you, that existence needs you, that you are not accidental. This gives you dignity, this gives you honor, and it is not dependent on others. It comes from your own innermost experience of your being. The moment you find yourself existential, that you belong to the whole cosmos, and the whole cosmos belongs to you, there arises a tremendous splendor in your being - Himalayan peaks of consciousness, Pacific depths of consciousness. That brings you the lion's roar. You realize for the first time you are not a slave. You realize for the first time you are not a created creature. You realize for the first time that existence is your home, you are not an outsider, and existence is nourishing you every moment. There must be a certain purpose, a certain destiny that existence is seeking through you to reach, a certain height of consciousness, a certain height of love, a certain height of compassion, understanding, wisdom, enlightenment. Existence is trying in every possible way to create a buddha in your very innermost being. The moment you are a buddha, there is dignity without any superiority. There is dignity in a rose flower. Do you think it has any power over anybody? It is so delicate, so vulnerable, but it has tremendous dignity. When it is dancing in the sun, in the rain, in the wind, it knows existence has created in him one of the most beautiful things.Dignity arises out of meditation. For Arjuna his words were coming from the objective world and not from subjective world. He is unconscious of self. He has lost his dignity. As soon as we become unconscious towards the self we lose our dignity.

Our country would complete 73rd independence day in Aug 2019 and we have achieved many mile stones, went through lot of high & lows, have overcome so many challenges till date, the only saddest part that still exists in our country is caste and religion. Our constitution was so well framed by Dr ambedkar, wherein we talk about basic rights and equality of people, but its still a matter of shame coz, equality for all caste and religion exist only on papers. We have never tried to overcome this biggest challenge and have just used the caste and religion for vote bank, to seek admission with bribe on the seats of lower caste, to seek job in govt sector by buying the seat of lower caste and much more. I keep travelling around, and where ever i go i have seen, ppl do not hesitate to ask, which caste you belong to. In south there is village where lower caste has to think alot before passing the village that belongs to upper caste. I have seen even educated ppl residing near or around me talking rubbish about caste and religion. In this 21st century ppl are highly qualified, the only thing that is missing is humanity and we cannot add value to the society unless and until we ovecome our rigid mindset of lower caste, upper caste etc. I would like to share one incident, i got transfered to a particular city and was in need of maid and someone staying near by recommended me a maid, she came to meet me, bt the owner of the house did not allowed her to come inside, coz the maid belonged to lower caste. The other day i asked the owner of my house did any maid came to meet me ?, she said yes, but would you allow 'chamaran' to enter and work in your house. I really felt bad the way she talked, such low minded people do not even think before they speak. The fact is we cant live without this lower caste people or else Our household work would remain still, if these ppl from lower caste do not work for us. The roads and surroundings would have become hell to live, if this ppl who belong to lower caste do not clean it. The drainage would over flow if this ppl stop working. People must learn to respect each other irrespective of the work and profession that one belongs to. No work is small, except the thinking and the mentality that you carry, coz this mentality you are passing to new generation. Wherein the problem of caste and religion would never be solved in our country. We live in a democratic country, where everyone has right of justice, equality and freedom to express. Article 15 has lot to say and it highlights on the current incident that still prevails in most part of our country. Even if we talk about ex chief minister mayavati, she has nt done any work for the ppl of lower caste except using them as vote bank and many other in politics are still using them. The govt should control alter delete the caste system from the country, so that it can lead to equality in income, education, job and most of the problem could be solved by bringing caste system to an end. The standard of living, the education, the income equality, etc of this caste has really not change much in uttarpradesh and many other parts. The movie highlights the heart touching incident, i.e rape of two minor girls who were working as child labor and they wanted the hike of just rupees three. My eyes were teared and i asked myself, in which world are we living ??, that we really do not feel the pain ? how can people be so inhuman ?. One can laugh, giggle, can spread rumours, but cant contribute their emotions, sympathy, empathy to the people around. Such ppl are shame to the society, coz they do not have much to give to the society and its ppl, not even humanity, and neither they add value to anybodys life. Learn to be human first, humanity itself is a biggest religion. We are indians, do not catergorize indians state, caste, religion wise. Try to come above all this. The movie is really worth watching, and ayushman did a complete justice with his character and role. I give 4.5 star to this movie for showing the reality, that our country can never overcome the caste and religion base issue, coz we are passing our rigid mindset and thoughts to the next generation. What we preach our children that is what they give to the society. Enjoy ur weekends with family by watching movie 'Article 15' 👍

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.14
 Dhwani Shah
 11 July 2019

Non-Doer - In Gita Verse 2.14 O son of Kuntī, the nonpermanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, O scion of Bharata, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed. In this verse Krishna says that just allow everything to pass, definitely when winter is there we feel cold and in summer we feel hot but don’t get disturbed by it, allow it to pass through you everything, without any resistance. In winter we need to wear woolen and in summer we need to wear cotton, then wear it, but if you resist the winter by not wearing woolens you create trouble for yourself. In the summer if you continue to wear woolen then also you will create trouble for yourself. As season changes in total acceptance if you change your clothes you will not create any trouble or disturbance. On the contrary you will be able to focus on your present moments act and assignment.Recollect incidence in your life if you are thirsty and don’t drink water then how emotionally you get disturbed and in this disturbance you will not be able to focus on what you need to do or act in that moment.Misery arises because we don't allow change to happen. We cling, we want things to be static. If you love a woman you want her tomorrow too, the same way as she is yours today. That´s how misery arises. Nobody can be certain about the next moment – what to say about tomorrow?Religion says: That which is, allow it to happen. All that you can do is: Please don’t disturb, just allow it to happen. Remain alert and passive and then there is no need to come to me – I will come to you. Many times I have already reached you – whenever you were silent. So this is not a theory; many of you even know it from experience, but you interpret this also.Don’t interpret. When you feel the presence, allow it to happen. If you allow it to happen, it will materialize more and more. It is possible and your questions will be answered. Be more meditative and then you are nearer to universe. Once you are totally meditative you are universe. Then there is no difference. One more thing is : the more you meditate, the less there will be to be asked. Questions will drop, because questions belong to a non-meditative state of mind. They arise in a non-meditative state more and more. One question is answered, ten more arise out of the answer. Mind is a great question-creating force. It goes on creating questions. You give the answer and the mind jumps on it, tears it down, and creates ten more questions. When you are meditative, less and less questions will be there. This will look paradoxical to you, but it is true. When there are questions there will be no answers; when there is no question the answer is there. The answer comes only when you are not questioning. Non-questioning will happen to you through meditation.Don’t think that there are as many answers as there are questions. No, there is only one answer. Questions are millions, the answer is one. Diseases are millions, medicine is one. Only one – and all is solved. But that one cannot happen to you because you don’t allow it to happen. You are so afraid of allowing anything to happen. This has to be learned. This is the only discipline – losing your fear, dropping your fear, and allowing things to happen. The river is flowing; don’t push it! There is no need, it is flowing by itself. You just wait on the bank and let it flow. If you are courageous enough, then drop yourself in the river and flow with it. Don’t swim, because swimming means fighting – just float. When religion says allow it to happen and become passive simply means that be natural. If you are thirsty drink water, if you are hungry eat, if you are sleepy sleep, don’t hinder , allow. This is passive act, non-doer.Krishna tells Arjuna don’t resist your assignment of universe, Fight Without Enmity. Be Non-Doer.
