How my books changed me

Books became my gateway into this wild jungle of imagination. We all read books in order to receive formal education but my relationship with books is ever dynamic. I remember being 10, with 4 comic books in my hand eagerly waiting for my study table to be delivered to my house. I promised myself that I will study on this table and read on this table all the time. It was the perfect table with a little book rack attached to it. Soon, the books started coming in.My grandmother tucked me into bed every night, only after telling me hindi stories. So even before I could read, my relationship with stories had already begun. I started writing about my mundane life as if it was a wild adventure, after reading "The Diary Of a Young Girl" by Anne frank. It baffled me how I could connect to characters in these books, who lived in these in places I have never heard of. I feel like I could read more books and develop telepathic powers someday, just like Matilda. Winnie the poohtaught me to be kind in the most humblest way possible. In my imagination, I was a part of every story I read. I understood how stories have the power to change the way I look at the world. When Robert Frost walked the road not taken,he lightened this new sense of hope and courage in me. Poetry became my way of expressing myself. I began scribbling poems in english, on the margin of my notebooks. I found the kind of friends, I aspire to become in the perks of being a wallflower. I found a mentor when I spend my Tuesdays with Morrie, who taught me the importance of being compassionate, taught me about the fragility of life and the value of memories, taught me to love or perish. She taught what immense bravery and standing up for others selflessly entails, when she stood in the face of death and told the gunman "I am Malala". She moved me in ways I hadn't been moved before. When  I thought I was hitting rock bottom, the alchemist showed me how the possibility of having a dream come true makes life interesting, makes every morning worth waking up to and that the secret of life is falling seven times and getting up eight times.  Rupi Kaur put her vulnerabilities in few sentences, on a paper for the whole world to see. Being honestly herself, she gave the world an insight on what a revolution it is to just love yourself. I wish to take something from every book I read. To become a reflection of every character that somehow touches my life. The person I am is the aftermath of all the books that I've read.

Are you chasing your goals or merely its means?
 Manoj Arora
 16 March 2018

Have we got mixed up with our goals and the means to achieve those goals? Most of us have. Wake up before time runs out !...Unhappy and frustrated with recent exam results at school, my elder one was desperately looking forward to something that could soothe her mind. It is not only about kids and exams, it could be you and your career, you and your business, your life, your relations, your passion. Whatever be it, in most cases we seemed to have mixed up with our life's goals and the means to achieve those goals. Don't believe me? Look out for yourself."Dad, now don’t tell me that results do not matter. I know that efforts are more important. But still I am not feeling good...", said a disappointed Arushi."Well, the fact is that results do matter. However, they are not in our control. Our efforts also matter. The beauty of focusing on the efforts is that efforts are always in our control. In any case, let me share with you a story of one of my friends in the United States - that should probably make you feel better...""William Richards was one of my colleagues when we were in the USA. We call him Bill. And you know people there - they are so fond of taking long breaks from the mundane job, and going on for adventures like biking, hiking, boating, flying, and what not.""Ah! Those US days...", remarked Arushi with a glee in her eyes."Yeah...so, this guy – Bill, took a three-week vacation after we signed a new contract with the client. All of us had worked very hard for this, and we all deserved a break. Bill decided to walk up the mountains.""Ok...Is it around the same time we went to Disney World?", inquired Arushi."Yes, exactly, we also took that 3-week break..OK, so when Bill was back after 3 weeks,he explained me about an incident that was strangely disturbing for him.""What was that?""Bill told me that during one of the days when he was climbing one of the toughest peaks. That day was particularly rough for him. He had been climbing since last 6 hours and it was late in the afternoon already. He was literally sweating in the snow, his legs were paining, his shoulders were aching...He was finding it really tough. But of course, he did not have a choice at that time. While all that was happening, he heard a noise of a helicopter quite close to him. When the sound of the whirling helicopter blades increased further, he just looked up and was amazed to see what he saw.""What was there?""It was one of his friends and his neighbor Ronnie on the helicopter...Ronnie was a rich man, also fond of mountains.""Ah ok..""They waived at each other, and then Ronnie shouted that he was going to the M4 peak...Bill said he was too...""OK..."Ronnie then waived Bill to come over to the helicopter and he offered to throw the ladder down to pick him up. Bill was confused whether he should take this offer."C’mon Bill. We have the same goal. We can use his helicopter as a means to achieve this goal faster. What are you thinking? I started just 15 min back and we will be there at the M4 peak in next 5 minutes.""Then, did Bill accept his friends offer?""No, Bill did not. And whether Bill accepted the offer or not is irrelevant. The strange part was this. At that moment, Bill said that he definitely felt very frustrated, sad and hopeless.""That’s obvious Dad...Bill has been climbing for hours together and was in pain. His friend did all that in 15 minutes - just because his friend could afford to rent a helicopter.""It is not obvious my child. It is the core issue.”“Issue, what issue?”“Here is what the issue us. If Bill felt sad seeing his friend go past him and reach the peak in no time with least effort, then I am sorry to say that Bill has got completely messed up with his goals and the means to achieve the goal.""How?""OK. what do you think was Bill’s goal?""To reach the mountaintop.""Again, we always get it wrong here. That is the issue. We get so messed up. Think again why did he take the vacation? At that point when Ronnie was waving at him, Bill thought that reaching the top is the goal and climbing are the means to achieve the goal, while actually, it is exactly the reverse. Think. The climb is the goal and the mountaintop is the means that help him achieve his goal. Did he not take a break to enjoy a few days 'climbing'? The objective was always to climb and enjoy the climb. Now, having said that, remember that the mountaintop is also important, but just as a means. If there was no top, then there would be no climb.""Hmmm....quite interesting.""If he was clear about the goal (climbing), would he be frustrated to see his friend reaching the top faster?""Perhaps, no !""Definitely no. Who reaches the top faster and with how much effort - all this would cease to matter if the goal is to climb. It is just how we look at things. In fact, he should be satisfied that he is already achieving his goal of climbing - which cannot be accomplished in any way via a helicopter.""Interesting Dad....""And now tell me what is your goal when you study - to learn new things and acquire knowledge or to score marks?"Arushi went in thinking mode. It is this self-introspection only that was going to set her perspective right. I let her take her time. After some time, I had to trigger it.."So, let me make it absolutely clear to you. Marks are not the goal at all. Marks are just a means - that help you focus on your main goal - which is to acquire more knowledge, and become wiser. While striving to achieve more marks, your goal is to become knowledgeable and wise – and not the other way round. Let there be no doubt about this. Do not mess up your childhood days in this confusion. Do not do the same mistake that Bill did." "Wow, this does give me a different perspective. But that is not how our teachers and classmates think. They look highly on us only when we get good marks.""Yeah, that is how it is always going to stay - perhaps. They have messed up their lives, and we cannot go and correct everyone around us. It is not feasible. But my advise to you would be not to just follow the herd. The entire herd may be headed to hell."“I get that Dad…I definitely feel better..”Arushi got it. I got it a few years back. Some of you may get it with this post. Some will never get it. Doesn't matter. The end is the same for everyone. But hold....reaching the end of our life is not our goal. Reaching the end is just a means - a reminder - for us to improve, become better, possess more mental strength, exhibit more happiness, elevate someone's life - and these are our goals. Do not get messed up between the goal and the means. On a vacation trip remember that the goal is not to reach the destination, but to enjoy the in-between moments - waiting at the airport, the cab ride with family, the meal at the hotel, the dance party, the scuba dive, the isolated hour at the beach. In a job or a business, the goal is not to reach the next level - but to impact as many people, experience awesome time and relations on the journey. "You always had a goal of financial freedom....", remarked one of my readers."The goal was never to be financially free, Freedom is only a means to reach our goals - of doing what we love doing – writing, planting trees, spending time with children and spouse, taking care of parents, meeting friends - and having an enjoyable life.", I responded.CheersManoj AroraOfficial Website | My Mission

 Surender Negi
 19 March 2018

Rating: 4/5Dan Brown once replied on a question asked to him about "How much similar he feels when people compare him with Robert Langdon?" He simply replied that it's not alike because Robert is much more courageous and adventuress than him. (paraphrase)Dan Brown answer to Question (mention above).I think Dan is lying about that. I think he enjoys more than anyone and at least surf into excitement created by him for Robert Langdon. From the day, Dan discovers this symbologist, this men (Tom hank) is on run to uncover world biggest discovery and conspiracy through his exceptional intelligence and photographic memory. In this book also Robert never missed any chance to surprise readers with his sheer intelligence. I am the blind fan of Dan Brown. His all books give me goosebumps whenever I read them. Ironically, my busy schedule left me thirsty each night for reading more and more. So, Robert tries to answer humans most ancient questions through the help of his friend Edmond Kirsch who ironically killed by a Spanish admiral. Does God realy exist on mountain Kailash?

Mount Kailash,a holy mountain not only for we hindus but for most of the religion like buddhist and jains are now under certain controversies for its location, sudden climate change and unsuccesssful attempts to reach to the peak of the mountain by many mountaineers who give one of the strangest expalanation for not accomplishing their mission to reach to its peak. So here we will go through the detailed information about our sacred mountain Kailash.so first of all we will see its religious significance that what this mountain mean for different religions like for we hindus it is the abode of the god of gods Mahadev also known as Shiva, Shankar and a thousands of names through which we can refer him to.So let's begin with JainismIn this religion mount Kailash is also known by the name Mount Meru. the believers of Jainism religion say that the first Jain Tirthankara,Rishabhanatha attained Moksha(liberation) on the mount Ashtapada, the mountain which is  just next to the mount kailash.HinduismAs already told above in hinduism the Mountain  Kailash is belived to be the abode of our beloved lord shiva, the adiyogi, the anadiyogi. Here he live along with his wife accompanied by two childrens i.e Kartika and Ganesh.According to charles Allen, a British freelance writer and a popular historian, one description in the Vishnu Purana  states that its four faces are made of Crystals which are:- ruby, gold and lapis lazuli. Mount Kailash is  also declared as the  pillar of the world and is located at the heart of six mountain ranges representing a lotus.Buddism Like Jainism, in  buddhist text too it is refered by the name of Mountain Meru. and Just like we  hindus, it is a major piligramage site for Buddhist too. Vajrayana (various Buddhist tradition for tantra and mantra) buddhists  believes that mount kailash is the abode of Buddha Cakrasamvara(also known as Demchok) who represents supreme bliss. BonBon, a religion native to Tibet, says that the entire mystical region and Kailash,  to which they refered to as the  "nine-story Swastika Mountain", is the  Axis Mundi, Tagzig olmo Lung Ring. Now since we are over about the beliefs of different reiligion about mount Kailash we should now go to the facts about this mysterious mountain and learn whether the  god is realy there on the mountain?and whether he  is the one who is preventing these mountainneers from climbing this sacred mountain or abode of his.So, here you go:-1. Mount everest, the highest peak in the world has an altitude of 8848m while mount Kailash has an altitude of just 6638m.The mysteroiuness lies in the fact that till now around 4000 peoples have climbed mountain Everest but not a single being has been able to reach the peak of mount Kailash.2. A pact was made among climbers to not to scale those mountains which were considred holy by any religion and mount kailash is not only considred sacred by only one  religion but four. well, some were not able to agree by this pact and finally  the british climbers Huge Ruttledge and Lt col Wilson tried their hands But mysteroiusly  ran out of time and poor climbers! have to return with bare hands.3. Many adventurers and climbers have claimed the sudden change in  weather conditons there. and it has been observed that nails and hairs grow faster than usual. Truly god has some presence there otherwise it wouldn't have been possible for anyone to stop those passionate adventuorers and climbers from achieving their feet.Man has become so technologically strong these days that it can unleash any mystery of nature but we are humans, the creation of god and our all powers and creations are absolute to zero in front of god.that is our limit and we have to admit it anyway. In this context once Reinhold Messner, who condemned the Spanish plans for climbing the sacred mountain, saidIf we conquer this mountain, then we conquer something in people's souls. So, what do you think guys. Is lord shiva still residing there?well i kept my opinion now its your turn. comment below to let me know what you feel.#smblogcontest

Aislin Fall, a poet and photographer
 StoryMirror Feed
 18 April 2018

StoryMirror interviewed Aislin Fall, a 25 years old maker of things. Writer. Photographer. Poet. Compulsive traveller. Joy Seeker. Knowledge sponge. PNW born and bred. Here is what she has to say.Q. Tell us about you and your background.I guess I was born and then a lot of things happened and I ended up where I am now.I'm from British Columbia, Canada. I was 16 when I started taking photographs using my dad's camera. I was really obsessed with fashion photography for a long time and was always making my friends crawl into bushes and peer from behind blooming branches and once, I made my best friend carry a small wooden giraffe around her neighbourhood. Eventually, I started photographing models in the suburbs and beautiful landscapes wearing lots of different clothes. Eventually, I stopped photographing models anywhere. These past few years, I've become more drawn to taking pictures that document life as I see it, which usually fits in the category of travel and portrait photography with a tinge of adventure and lifestyle. I still shoot fashion sometimes but it's not my main focus.Photoshop came before photography for me and by the time I picked up my first camera, I was already dabbling in graphic design and photomanipulation. I fell in love with retouching as I transitioned into fashion photography and I worked as a retoucher for a few years. I don't retouch professionally any longer. I like being outside more than I like being on a computer these days.Travel has been the dominant force in my life for the past four years, although I did travel a lot with my family while growing up. I am usually in a state of going somewhere. I haven't had a "home" for more than a few months in a long time.Q. What is your life's greatest passion? What inspires you? I think life itself is my greatest passion—life and all the things it encompasses. The swell and swoon and pull and press of existence. The miracle of existing at all. The hope is to be as fully present and here in this moment. It's strange how something so simple can be so hard sometimes! How easy to get lost in your head—to stop listening to footfall of passing strangers, trills of birds, pulse of water. So my greatest passion is life and from there, everything else flows. I have been a maker ever since I was little—drawing, writing, forming stories—and the process of creating is a huge passion of mine. Nowadays, it takes the shape of photography and poetry. I grew up travelling the west coast of North America with my family and in my 20s, I've spent a lot of time on the road in Canada, USA, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Travelling is definitely one of the other great loves of my life. But they are all so wound together. Photography, writing, travelling—they're all giant pieces of this life of mine. They're how I think and feel and experience. Life gives me inspiration and then I take that and make these things with it.Life inspires me, the world inspires me, relationships inspire me, art inspires me, emotions inspire me, light inspires me. Since I'm mostly photographing my life as I experience it, I just look for moments.Q. Take us through your work. I shoot people and places. I catch real moments and pull them through my perspective until they feel like me. I get my fingerprints on everything. I'm not one of those photographers who doesn't like to modify things (though if you are, that's fine). I see things as malleable. I love Photoshop. My work is me; my work is my life. It's the fleeting instant that I got my fingers around. It's a record of where I've been and what I've felt. The roads I've walked down, the people I've loved, the sunrises I've seen, the glimmers of light that took my breath away. It's travel or landscape or documentary or lifestyle or portrait or whatever.WhistlerUSATessTasmaniaTasmaniaSydneyScotlandPortoMaiteIrelandIrelandIrelandhowthhollandCanadaBeeAusAthensAthensQ. Can you share with us a 'behind-the-scene' memory of yours that has stood out the most? Back in October, at the beginning of this last backpacking trip in Europe, I went to the Acropolis in Athens for sunrise. I watched the twinkle of dawn wash over the ancient streets of the city and observed the quiet blue of night transform into brilliant, shining light. It was one of those times when you look around at your life and feel all the decisions that brought there to that specific, remarkable, precious point. A blink of overwhelming gratitude.During the day, Acropolis is a swarming beehive of human beings. There are so many people. But when the gates first open in the morning—right before the sun rises, it's nearly empty. There were only two or three other people there when I watched the dawn awaken the city. It was so private and personal, witnessing the sun crest over the mountains, pull the shadows long and far over the ruins.Q. Is there an achievement or contribution that you are most proud of?I have been to 25 countries in 25 years, and while that's not a "career" oriented "achievement," it's a personal achievement. I'm immensely proud of this life that I've carved for myself. I have seen so much and it's truly shaped me.Q. What is your life's philosophy?Love and interconnectivity. Be kind and compassionate towards everything—other humans, animals, the planet, yourself. We are all so tied together. Our actions matter.Q. If you could give a message to all the 20 year olds of the world, what would it be?Be patient. Remember that you are not your emotions. Gratitude is the key. Emotions are passing clouds in the sky—they are things that you experience but they are not your identity so don't be consumed by them or think that they're your truth. Patience because all things take time and it's really hard to really know who you are or what you want at 20. It's important to give yourself room to grow and discover and make mistakes. I view the 20s as being a massive opportunity for learning. Training your mind to practice gratitude has the potential to change everything.Q. How do you want to see yourself 5 years from now?Happy and fulfilled, though that's the aim for every single day and not the destination. I'd like to be sustaining an income from my photography and writing, and still engaged in creative projects that excite me. I hope to have more of a "home" in five years but still travelling a lot with at least another ten new countries checked off my list!Check out her website, blog and instagram.

Directionless Youth of our country
 Ayush Mathur
 12 June 2018

Today, India is one of the most populous countries in the world, out of which most of the population is youth. Youth percentage in India is more than 50%, young people are full of abundant energy, courage, a spirit of adventure, imagination, hope, and ambition. The young men and women of India should be fully involved and creative work of nation-building and reconstruction. The younger generation, which is more generous, flexible, sensitive and dynamic, can do wonders if properly guided and motivated. In fact, the Youth is the future of India. In our country, children always taught by their parents and elders from their childhood to score good marks and be competitive and practical in life, despite of teaching them life lessons about kindness, loyalty, humbleness, helping others, etc instead of that they were taught to be mean, self centered, money-minded etc. In schools, they just got bounded and trapped between walls that just teach them to study as it is whatever it is written in the book, they don't have any practical knowledge about how the world works, how to behave, how to react in difficult situations of life, how to get rid from the unwanted problems. They don't have direction in life, they are just blindly following each other like a flock of sheep. Most of the youth are not aware of what is right and what's wrong, they are in the age where their extreme emotions can turn them into completely different individuals. They start drugs in very young age because of peer pressure and then became an addict with the passage of time. Their Brain stops working after reaching at one point when they completely dissolve themselves in the addiction. We can take the example of Punjab, where 90% of its total youth population was drug addict once, they even don't get bothered by their families, relatives etc.  But all these reflect one-sidedness and lack of proper understanding on the part of the elders and grown-ups. The lifestyles youngsters adopt today are chosen either out of curiosity , peer pressure or fashion, alternatively stress, anxiety, and frustration drive them onto these paths. What is even more alarming is that the attraction of today's youth is no longer for ciggerate, tobacco, alcohol. These are now termed as soft items. The "in" things are cocaine, heroin, brown sugar which are so called as stress buster. Besides it, most of the young generation are living meaningless lives, they don't have any ambition or motives in their lives, they don't have dreams. They don't want chase success they are just living in a parallel universe where they just wanted that everything should work according to them. The time is declining very rapidly and now it's the time that they must realise that life won't work like this, they have to came out from the black hole that is attracting them everyday as soon as possible. They have to realise the meaning and importance of their life. They have to direction their lives in a particular way. The future of our country totally relies on the youth, they have to stop wasting their precious time and lives in drugs.

Book Review: The Wild Cat By Taanya Sarma

Book Title: The Wild CatAuthor: Taanya SarmaFormat: Paper BackTotal Number of Pages: 328Language: EnglishPublisher: Invincible PublishersPublishing Date: 21 December 2017ISBN-10: 9387328139ISBN-13: 978-9387328136Based on true events, this erotic thriller novel tells the tale of a young, naive woman named Tanya who enters the online dating and chat world. Her first foray into this digital realm initially proves to be bland and disappointing; however, sex, suspense, power struggles and attempted murder soon unfold. These unwelcome adventures interfere with her business and her sanity as she aspires to live up to her deceased parent’s standards.A conman named Sam ensnares Aaron, a handsome investment banker, into his ploy and uses him as a pawn to lure women into doing things they normally wouldn’t do. Sam then exposes their personal information as well as their images, sometimes in the act of cyber sex, and posts them on a very successful porn website that he owns. Tanya’s encounter with these two men evolves into a long, winding road, with each turn bringing irreparable changes in her life.Enraged by the deceit and the unconscionable behavior of these men, Tanya turns whistleblower and vows to assist the FBI in shutting down the dating app and porn site – and she won’t stop until the perverted perpetrators are behind bars. She never relents, but ultimately laments, “I never thought that I would have to give up my life to remain alive.”ReviewsA very interesting book, especially for young girls to understand the danger that exists in this society with online predators ~ Alma Guzman, Executive Producer Hollywood.Sex, suspense, power, struggle, murder attempt and well developed characters. This book has all the masala to be the next blockbuster Bollywood flick. A must read for sure. ~ RJ Khurki, Zabardast Hit 95 FM Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. This gripping story based on true events will keep you hooked till the very last page. ~ Antil, ScoopwhoopMY TAKEStarting from the book cover the first impression is the best impression the foremost thing which I liked in the book is the beautiful cover and its little unusual title “The Wild Cat” it indeed developed the curiosity within me to know what author meant by it.   The lower half of a girl’s face and below it is the night view of a city with buildings in the middle of the cover title with sub title. The Wild Cat A deviant tale of a young woman, a banker and a conman who happen to meet on dating website. The Cover is beautiful and attractive. Title is also perfect for the plot. The story revolves around the line of protagonist Tanya aka Iron Angel, Dorothy, Adam, Mr. U W, Aaron aka Phantom or Alpha, Mrs. Martha, Sarah, Monica , Sam Baker aka call as Nick Baker or Cobra, Newguyintown,Notorious, Aunt Iris, Rookie, Venom, Rebel Queen, Rex, Mr. & Mrs. Baker, Stephanie Owens, Schmidt, Jeff Simpson, Dali, Frida. This is the story of female protagonist Tanya an art gallery owner inherited from her father. She lost her mother in her early age and her father had brought her up but later her father passed away in an accident. She was a alone and only have the support of her best friend Dorothy.  Dorothy is dating online through an app which matches with a person of similar interest and lets them talk in a group or one -one.Tanya also downloads the app iVoice once she learns that she has been using it to date this person who is the owner of a sexy voice according to her. iVoice is a dating app but the twist is that it’s not like any other dating app. It’s a dating app based on voices of different people. One can only connect with another person she is interested in by hearing his voice. No real names, no identities. Just voice. The application has a option to lock in the phone number and also has a voice changer option if any user feels not to reveal their own voice. Tanya, aka Iron Angel on iVoice comes across another user called Adam who invites her to a private chat. Adam apparently is married and is a father to three kids. He shows signs of perversion and voyeurism and have cybered (cyber sex) quite a few times but his wife doesn’t mind even when she knows about his addiction. I don’t know why. Even his therapist knows about it but takes no step to stop him from his adventures. Tanya and Adam end up talking about the colours of underwear they wear, whether they wash hands after peeing, whether they sleep in PJs or sleep naked. I mean, girl you are talking to a virtual stranger and you haven’t even seen his face and you are already talking about penises, panties and thongs!! Like, seriously. I was exasperated at her common sense. He could have turned out to be an old pimp who doesn’t think twice before killing innocent girls. Anyways, coming to the second user Phantom; he is the lead male protagonist in this book. Aaron aka Phantom turns out to be an investment banker and is pretty civil when they first engage in conversation. He isn’t a creep like the two other users she had interacted previously. They almost talk everyday. As days pass, Tanya becomes more addicted to this app and starts to feel “soft” for Aaron. It’s trap. There’s always some people lurking in the background to pounce on when they are presented with opportunities. There’s one such person in this iVoice app too. He gains a large sum of money by selling of phone numbers and private images of the girls who uses this app. When Tanya comes to know about this and learns that Aaron is also linked with this whole ploy, she plots a revenge against them. The rest of the story follows Tanya in her revenge and whether she finds success in her plan. This book ends with a cliffhanger mode. The rest of the story will be in next trilogy set of the book.Language is simple crisp and lucid and has the ability to bring live the events narrated in the book. The characters are well developed and one can easily relate to their actions, reactions, mental agony, outbursts, etc. The only character that left me a bit confused was that of Tanya. The best part is that even the supporting characters are well- developed and merge smoothly into the story. You can easily relate to most of their actions, reactions and inner turmoil. However I would have loved to get to know what happen after BANG. BANG. who had shoot for that i have to wait for next book. While the first half is erotic thriller with cyber crime, the second half which is revenge.  Narration is done well. The author’s strongest point is plot with unique theme and warn the women of online world. One of the most important things that I noticed is how with few words, the author could not only just portrayed  the hazards of online world, the pain, joy and sorrows of the characters but she even manages to bring that out from the readers. Most victims of these crimes were teenage girls and women. There was a nefarious attempt to trap young girls to indulge in wrongdoing. The increase in number of mobile phones had also led to more number of cyber crimes. Crimes were also reported by misusing social networking websites on the internet. The writer’s words has the capacity to hold the reader till the last page. The book has been written well in accordance to real-life examples with realistic point of view. This is the debut novel of author but we don’t seriously feel as if we are reading a book written by a debut author. Overall a fantastic fantasy packed with action and tinged with suspicion and suspense. I personally would like recommend this book to every women out there and to all the book worms it’s a must read.Overall Ratings 4/5 StarsAbout the AuthorTaanya Sarma is an author, poet and an entrepreneur. An ambivert true to form, the depth and duality of Taanya’s personality are evident throughout her writing. The genesis of The Wildcat trilogy stems from her desire to warn naive young women about the pitfalls of the online dating world.Taanya’s goal is to see her series of novels published and available in multiple languages as far reaching as countries like India, China, UK, NZ, SA, Australia – and, of course, in her home country the United States. When she’s not writing, Taanya is most likely thinking about writing – or spending time with her adopted dog, playing the guitar and piano, sketching, biking, snorkeling or participating in some extreme sports like parasailing, skydiving, or bungee jumping. For a more in-depth look into the life and creative mind of Taanya Sarma, follow her at @taanya.sarma or check out her website at http://www.taanyasarma.com

Ira’s life is in danger. She has to finish these diabolical people or she will be finished. Will Ira be successful in unfolding and further finishing the racket? Will she come out of it unscathed? My TakeThe cover of the book is simple and the title of the book The Mysterious Widows Of Mehboobpura  is thoughtful, and completely justifying the story. They complement each other well and also is according to the story, so it’s a perfect combination. The plot is strong and the author has been able to do full justice to it. The plot covers social evils like drugs, prostitution, human trafficking army, veer nari lifes and struggles. The author has clearly crafted the family life of army officer. The Joy, pride, tears, hardships, separation , skipped heartbeats, the uncertainty and ecstasy.Every chapter starts with a poem which are beautiful and really meaningful. The words were simple and the language is lucid which eased the reading. The book is free from any grammatical errors and has been perfectly edited. The pace is perfect, neither slow nor too fast. It is steady and smooth. The author has portrayed each and every character with utmost significance of their own and every one of them has done justice to their respective roles throughout the story. The characters are well developed and one can easily relate to their actions, reactions, mental agony, outbursts, etc.The book is free from any grammatical errors and has been perfectly edited. If the Punjabi and Hindi dialogues were translated into English it was much better since everyone will not able to understand it. The book has a very powerful message to deliver. My favorite character from the book is Ira. “A charming Army wife, a masterful mother, A multi tasker and a teacher, And now an adventurer?”  Never felt my interest waning. The ending part of the story i enjoyed a lot Kulwinder, Jagtar and Ira together made their attempt successful. With every turning page the curiosity to read further keeps on increasing. You shout at me, tie me and kick me,And harass me, but I will get up…Dreams are my teachersThey show me the way to my destinyDifficult is the way, but strong is my resolve.A valiant soldier he isWho does not know any other wayApart from truth, integrity, righteousnessAnd love for his motherland.Evil will dwell, roam and spread aroundGood will always evoke in some soul, daring… to finish evil.Looking forward to read more works by the author.I personally recommended this book to all readers.Overall 4/5 StarsAbout the AuthorAnuradha is working in the field of academics from past 18 years. Book Title: Table For OneAuthor: Neha BindalFormat: Paper BackTotal Number of Pages: 180Language: EnglishPublisher: HALF BAKED BEANSPublishing Date: 20 July 2018ASIN: B07FQ7MWBCTaara Maheshwari, a single woman in her thirties and a successful lawyer, is tough from outside but a die heart fan of romantic movies from inside. She grew up seeking her “happily ever after’ but amid various heartbreaks and culture of modern age short term relationships, her believe in “true connections" got replaced by the comfort of being “emotionally disconnected.”After she turned 31, her parents persuaded her into meeting a guy for marriage who sounded just perfect for her. Acting on impulse, she told her parents that she would meet him only if they let her go on a trip to Europe. As Taara went on to explore the world, she experienced what actually happens when a single Indian girl travels to Europe all by herself. Is it only about dancing, singing or falling in love? What happens after you fall in love? Does love conquer all? Only her story would tell.My TakeThis is the story of protagonist Taara Maheshwari, a successful lawyer in her early thirties still unmarried. She is a confused women, who had encountered some heart breaks and doesn't know what to she wanted in her life. As her parents convinces for an arrange marriage. To which she agreed only if her parents would allow her for solo trip in Europe before marriage. She promised to meet the man once she returned back from the trip fortunately her parents agreed. She thinks it's an escape from marriage and quit her job to fulfill her dream to take a solo trip to Europe. Here her self-exploration starts with travelling diverse destinations, meets different kinds of peoples all around there, sang a song in public, danced crazily, went on trekking,  and many more she explored the Europe. Taara in this trips founds new friends as well as she is attracted towards Fred and was in love with him. To know more what happen next read the book. The book is a bag of emotions of love, heartbreaks, travel, romance, adventure, external love, internal love, self realization, happiness, peace, friends, family, life, and many more.Language is simple crisp and lucid and has the ability to bring live the events narrated in the book. The story flows like a movie and takes the readers on a journey  to Paris, Switzerland and Italy with Taara the every scene is so well written than you can actually get images of them in your mind. Characterization should be have been strong and done better and i don't like the sudden climax. The faced paced and engaging narration. The writer’s words has the capacity to hold the reader till the last page. The storytelling style was different and simply adorable. I loved Taara character through out the book. Characterization should be done better and i don't like the sudden climax. The cover and title is beautifully crafted. We are all taught that the most beautiful part of a fairy-tale is “happily ever after”. But we fail to notice that all fairy tales begin with “Once upon a time”. Once. It all happened. It was all real. Once. No matter who we are, what we do, or where we live, deep inside we all feel incomplete. It’s like we have lost something and need to get it back. Just what that something is, most of us never find out. And of those who do, even fewer manage to go out and look for it. Alone wasn’t just a closed dark room anymore but a whole wide world full of opportunities. I needed to explore and occupy the vastness of the world inside of me, which until now I hadn’t truly understood. Like the houses we build, the sky was also a shelter to few.I'll recommend this book to all the avid reader's.Overall 4/5 StarsGrab the copy here- AMAZON

Kedarkantha the most popular winter trek.

How about a snowy affair the winters? How about getting lost in mountains and finding yourself? Maybe, somewhere you belong. Somewhere you can find the best views of the Himalayas. Somewhere, you can do self-introspection peacefully in one of the best campsites in India. Trust me the, prettiest. Just imagine the campsites nestled in snow-covered pine trees. Shrouded by pine forests, and snowfall makes the view much more spectacular. Powdery and surreal it is! Sounds like a fairy tale? It doesn't only sound like a fairy tale but the whole views of Kedarkantha trek are like a dreamscape. You will be witnessing the union of the blue horizon with snowy peaks. You will feel liberated, far away from the city chaos. How often you look out of the window and crave from something surreal? How often do you take that fresh chilled breeze inside you? How often your heart wish to spend time with oneself? How often do you feel that you need a break from all the mess? How often your heart longs to express more? How often do you feel the silence? How often do you feel like that you just need to gaze the stars and loosen yourself a bit?Want to be one of the free and liberated soul? Let's go to one of the most beautiful trails. This is the easy one which gives the most kaleidoscopic view of Himalayas. The trails go through forests and hanging rhododendrons. The verdant green forests, a myriad collection of flora and fauna, what a delightful moment it will be to walk on such trail? This trek can also be done by people who don't have any prior trekking experience. And you will witness three most prominent peaks like Swargorohini, Kalanag, and Bandarpoonch. Awe-struck right? You will be literally amazed. The trek starts from Sankri village of Uttrakhand. From Sankri you got to trek for 4-5 hours to reach another base camp of Juda ka Talab ( It's frozen, during winters). walking trails become bit steep as you will continue to gain height.  From Juda ka Talab to kedarkantha basecamp it will take almost 3 hours to reach. Fron Kedarkantha basecamp to the summit is gonna take 6-7 hours. and you will be exposed to the best views.  And the weather is completely unpredictable. But you gotta push yourself a bit hard, to witness the jaw-dropping beauty, which will leave you speechless.  As it is said, the view comes after the hardest climb. So this winter brace up for some new adventure with the best views, from ascending slopes to lush green meadows, from bit steep to plain trails. This trek has everything.

The Joy of WritingWriting has always been a noble profession, for writing it brings fame, money, respect, popularity and power ,everything they want but only a true writer knows what is the meaning of writing, the actual joy of writing. Writing is an adventure of life where we drive here and there in our thoughtful realistic imagination.we make our own rules ,we become free like birds, where we make friends, make love.its a free life with ultimate freedom to write our own fate as we wish with bare fingers,to show the exact reality of this world behind false promises.its those painting of letters on blank white pages where we paint their laughter, tears, weariness, some blushing pink cheeks.where we creat our charecters through our visions, where there is no limit of unreal fantasies, where we share all untold secrets of life, truth of life,in a faith of our own truth, philosophy of life, the way we see the world.writing is the quickest way to share our thoughts, ideas, which inspires enough young minds, those piles must be hard to build future on it.For me It makes me just happy,Sometime writing gives our mind ease when we feel desolete like a lone plant in a desert and turn our silence to a Beautiful journey,it's the only way to connect with nature or this real world as we a good writer needs to feel every minute, everything he sees, every single tune he listen, every change in weather he feels, every scents and odours he smells, instead of some people blame us calling Escapist but we want to feel the world exactly how it should be,how God created it ,we never adapt any false doctrine of society, which differs from time to time. This could be a Fiction but i feel it more real than the real world itself. But the sole purpose of writing is not only living in a dreamlike state with unlimited joy rather its best use is in rectifying our minds, society by forcing us to see what's wrong with us.

Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.Hi, my name is Naman Chatterjee. I have recently turned 13 and am moving to 8th grade. I have been born and brought up in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR. I started my schooling and continue to be at Shikshantar – a place where I can be ‘me’.From my early days, I have been fascinated by all kinds of cars – that’s what even my teachers from idiscoveri preschool remember about me. As I am growing up, this has become a passion – I am an avid fan of all kinds of car racing – F1, Formula E, Moto GP etc. I enjoy a variety of music and sports - from the age of 6, I started learning tennis & piano and they have gradually become an important part of my routine. I have fun playing games on the Xbox and PS4. And…as expected, I can remain engrossed in books for hours!!! How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?   My parents always encouraged me to spend time with books. I remember listening to a wide variety of amusing stories in Hindi, English and Bengali from my parents and grandparents. This started me on my journey with books and this bond has got stronger day by day. At school, I enjoyed reading (or initially observing the pictures) the books from the small book stacks in the classroom. A few years ago, I and my friends became Tintin fans – we used to exchange the comics and read them together. We still do that with books we are currently interested in. During summer holidays, I have spent my time relaxing with the collection of my mother’s old books (& Archies comics!!!) at my Nani’s house. My interest in literature spans a vast range and I enjoy characters like Famous Five, Geronimo Stilton, Shonku & Feluda, Harry Potter etc. I have been entertained by the works of many authors - Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, Herge, Ruskin Bond, Satyajit Ray, Agatha Christie. Mystery & adventure is the genre that I love.  At school, we were always encouraged to express our thoughts and feelings on paper – first through art and then through writing. Starting with a few lines in my own spellings, I began writing short pieces based on the themes given in class.  I got a lot of encouragement from my teachers and parents and over time, my writing skills evolved to poems and short stories based on prompts or on areas of my interest. Guided by my English teacher, my mother approached Children’s World magazine and my work was well appreciated by the editor. When my first poem got published, it further boosted my confidence and motivated me to write better .  I was selected for a workshop ‘ Kissa-O-Kalam’ at Sahitya Akademi in May 2017 where I got to learn about different writing techniques from the mentors and hear interesting ideas of my companions. I have also participated in a number of creative writing competitions including Katha Utsav(2015), Scholastic Writing Awards(2016), Hindu Young World Club contests etc. These experiences have brought in new perspectives and enhanced my writing. What is your view about the present-day literary work?Modern day adventure stories excite me. I have read the series of Percy Jackson, Alex Rider and Time Riders. I find these to be thrilling with fast action and quick changes of scenarios – the twists and turns take the story to unexpected endings. Moreover, these adventures always involve some novel type of technological features which makes it more interesting. I find it difficult to put down the book till I have reached the end –you want to finish it as fast as you can to know the climax. Please tell us something about your literary work.I enjoy writing short stories and poems in English. I generally pick up abstract topics and use my imagination to spin stories around them. For this, I draw upon my experiences of travel, stories that I read, games that I play and what I observe around me.Some of my works include:Short stories - Autobiography of a Pair of Socks, A Chance Encounter with Hanumanji, Desert Escapade Poems – The Paper Boat, Fire n Ice, Falcon, Sounds of Silence I have also written few poems and short stories in Hindi – बचपन, जंगल बचाव, मन करताहै What was your first literary work and how was it published? My first literary work was an English poem called ‘Sounds of Silence’ which was published in the ‘Children’s World’ magazine on its 50th anniversary in April 2017. It is a monthly magazine brought out by the Children Book Trust, Delhi and is one of the oldest magazines for children.Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?                            I am keen to continue writing short stories and hope to sharpen my writing skills in the future. One of the ways I plan to do this is by pursuing my passion for reading. This will help me to get more ideas and to create extraordinary stories. What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets?                          Online platforms help amateur writers to share their works and read contributions from others. This can be enhanced by holding regular events and workshops. Emerging writers get to interact among themselves, appreciate other’s style of writing and learn from each other. Inviting a well known poet or author to share their thoughts will help young writers to get new ideas and develop their writing skills.      What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers?I always believe in the motto “Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go.”                            How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror?Story mirror was convenient to access. Increasing Extramarital affair
 Tanmaya Madhukanta
 6 April 2019

Indian society is giving women the liberty to be sexually active. After hearing of multipartners and wife swapping, the new flavour of the season is of Indian wives dating other men.The syndrome which has become really hip and popular today is ‘my wife’s boyfriend.’ Women today have come out of the four walls of the house and have started experimenting with their sex lives. For many years, the issue of extramarital affairs was thought to be a “woman’s issue” – that is, women dealing with their husbands’ affairs.Today, while large numbers of husbands are still having affairs, there has been a significant increase in the number of Indian wives having affairs.A recent survey done on contemporary marriages by the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai, has brought to light the fact that there is a rise in extramarital affairs, and couples know and accept their partner’s paramours. But the most surprising finding is that more and more married women are looking for love or rather fun outside marriage. With the work place and the Internet, overscheduled lives and inattentive husbands – it’s no wonder more Indian women are looking for comfort in the arms of another man.Women interact with men more at work. They go for more meetings, take more business trips and presumably participate more in flirtatious water-cooler chatter. These light or intensive flirtations whatever the women opts for give them a self-esteem boost during work hours and don’t rock the boat at home.Gone are the days when cuckolding was a social taboo. Today globalization has spawned an almost experimental outlook towards sex.In an age where porn has hit the streets openly, women today do not hesitate to break the ‘humdrum’ of their lives by experimenting with their sex lives and this experimentation is no longer a man’s prerogative. Today wives are acting on the urge more than ever. With husbands pursuing demanding careers and having no time for the home, or for that matter sex, it has led to wives looking for adventure outside marriage.Husbands are also aware of it, because they know that they cannot give them the time. The neglect of their personal life by husbands has led to women becoming desperate for attention and they don’t mind flaunting their boyfriends.Often we want to hold on to relationships because we do not want to get out of our comfort zone. Even if the marriage is not healthy, we tend to hold on to it for various reasons.Whether through an open relationship or just a fantasy, looking elsewhere is not the root cause of trouble in relationships. Instead it’s the fact that we crave adventure in our humdrum lives and most marriages fail to provide that. Many women say that an affair outside marriage has changed their lives for better because they feel desirable in the arms of somebody else.In addition, when women break out from a truly committed relationship and run free, the question is not what they are running towards, but rather what is it they are running from.In this situation looking for love elsewhere tends to be a life pattern triggered by fears (of commitment, of being loved, of waking up with the same person every morning).Over the years, though the institution of marriage is still alive, there is a sea of change in the relationship between husband and wife. People these days look more for financial security than emotional.“The love and care is definitely there, but passion definitely dies away with years. From having sex once a week, they have sex one a month or may not even for months together. It is high time we accept the fact that everybody needs variety in their sex life,” says Devyani Rao, a stylist with a leading lifestyle magazine. In Indian society, people generally have marriages of convenience. According to Mumbai based psychologist, Dr. Varkha Chulani, “This condition of wives having affairs generally arises in 80 percent of marriages today because there is very little communication with each other. For most women, an inattentive husband is the biggest problem, and husbands too have accepted this situation because they refuse to go through the tedious process of divorce.”While the woman is on the lookout for love outside marriage, she is definitely in no mood to leave her husband. She just wants to have her share of fun.For women who have been married for many years and for whom the whole life is about taking care of their kids and their house life definitely becomes very monotonous for them. It becomes natural for them to look for love outside marriage, just to spice up their life. There are several reasons that men accept this arrangement. Firstly, they don’t want to go through the legal hassle of divorce.Second, after spending so many years of togetherness they get used to each other and just knowingly shut their eyes. Third, it gives the man a green signal to have fun with other women.

After all, they are experienced people but if you meet someone & by keeping in touch with each other, you know that this is the  person whom you are finding for a long then don't let go this person.  Listen, what your heart is trying to say you. This might sound filmy,  but this is how you both will share a beautiful relationship with the  magic of love.2. Do Adventure TogetherIf your partner lives  in another part of the country or in another part of the world, you  can't do things together while enjoying each others' company. But never  mind, when technology will get used? Yes, there are apps available in  the play store like Skype, Google Duo, Rabbit, LokLok, WhatsApp,  TouchNote, Between, And all the other apps & gadgets. The beginning of the second day started normally with cool fashion with all prominent people greeting each other, officials welcoming writers of all 21 nations with smiles and handing on schedule of the day to take on, And it was going to be one more day of fun, galore and happy smiles all along. It kicked off with the Honorary directors, organisers and other people being honoured for their service, their short gratitude and explaination of the role they have handed in such time so well, and their wishes to all who have come to represent expecting that preservation of culture in writing shall go on which was agreed by all of us. Once that was done, the proceeding started and it was field adventure to come on where some local sites across Andree Pension, Castelel peles and other local areas were introduced and their impact was explained by the guiding experts while we were observing them that helped the early start to be a prominent one. In such exploration it was great to know the Historic medieval tradition of Romanesque pillars, the way people used to preserve Candle cultures in marvel stones, The way fountation measurement was applied for water management system by early modern Romanian ruling groups and We also came to know the way things were applied in historic fashion. Besides we got the oppurtunity to look after cultural pillars that stand tall inside Castelel Peles and we got the oppurtunity to touch the prime Royal Amblem, the cultural symbol of peace of arts, and we felt great to have it's experience as explained by the guides along side us. Once that was accomplished, we got back into our cabs, took the oppurtunity to reach cafeteria to have vegetarian lunch and it was time approaching now when things would become formal as well as People would have to go back. But the exploration was great in all respects while visiting such hot spots and touring them made it so special after observing such traditions in such great way. Once our outyard adventures have got over, We had lunch, and have been enjoying each other company Thence we decided to take a short experience note with journalists present about the trips in local areas and the writers/poets from all 21 countries took their positions on 6 different podiums inside explaining their experiences altogether. After the experiences and feedbacks were done, things started to get more formal and one more confrence was planned by the organisers but this time not in separate subsessions but in one whole group structure involving all and it took place on the second town hall integral place. Here we all as authors/poets gathered to discuss the future of creative writing and this confrence's main aim was to discuss that what may be the plans to protect the writing culture? How to save it for the next generations? And in what way right steps can be decided? It went all well for around 3 hours with participation, enthusiasm and great thought process of all the writers providing feedbacks for what can be done and how things can be affective and I listened out, argued with some and enjoyed it a lot for sure. And once it was over the final proceedings were on show coming very close now reminding me again of the past happiness of World poetry championship award receiving and I guess this time the process was going to be same one, though the Award ceremony has been much different than that with it's title which suits the best, and I now awaited hoping to have more great fond memories at large. it was time for the last proceeding now and It was as mentioned in above lines has to be the award ceremony where all writers, jury members, associates, guests and prominent names were settled according to their names, places and position waiting for their name calls and receive such prestigious honour. I was only told on the early momentum of 1st day that an award known as 'Best Asian community poet' award has been confirmed in relative to me and I held my breath waiting for the right time. In the beginning the most high ranked officials, organisers and deligates were first called to receive their honours one by one. Once they were over the members of Jury from Europe were called to receive their awards on basis of their literary ranks. Then the official leaders of certain countries were called upon to gain, oblige and receive such prominent awards on basis of their literary standards. And after that all honorary process was over,  thence our numbers came by to get the honours done by receiving our prestigious awards on basis of our commendable performances in field of literature. We were seated according to the alphabetical order on basis of sir name and I seated myself behind Pane, Panoe and Panser waiting for my turn which was not far and meanwhile other honorary writers have started to get the awards I engaged myself holding Mango shake aloft as well as enjoying Veg muffin and once the name was called it was great to settle. I went to stage supported by a volunteer, received the honorary trophy, saved it in my bag, spoke for 5 minutes on transition of Technology for creative writing and didn't extend my hand for the prize money as I have discussed earlier with the award giving committee that the fund should go for the weakened Literary families of Balcan community. And a smile on my face I shook hands with the honour giving members, had some photo clicks with them and Ultimately it was over for me. But it was not all over yet, other remaining writers/poets were receiving their awards and My newly made friends continue to crack jokes while we enjoyed Mango shakes all along, thus once the last alphabet 'Z' was over Thence the award ceremony had come to the close. At the end of all such formalities, the key organisers came to the stage once more and presented their analyses of whole 2 days as the contributory moment of the Validictory function explaining how things went, where they wish to improve more, and how management went through with great support of all of us. Once that was done, night crackers went high into the sky, the memory has almost converged to a glorious one, And with smile all around us the 2 day European Poetry Championship award ceremony was over at large...

My solo trip to one of last village in Kasol Himachal.

In the middle of the day, I was standing puzzled in the place known as Kasol. I had no idea how this place would be and what I would do alone there. The foreigners definitely were visible in the majority. Hebrew (Israel official language) was used in many restaurants along with English and Hindi.I usually don't eat before the bus travel, so I was hungry and decided to Visit holy Manikaran first (3 km uphill from Kasol). Manikaran has mesmerizing beauty. A grand Gurudwara besides the God Shiva temple on the bank of violent Parvati river. This place is also blessed with a hot spring. In this hot spring, delicious food of the Gurudwara is cooked. The gateway to Gurudwara led to a bridge to cross Parvati River and the hot spot for profile pictures.Right inside the Gurudwara, there is a pond of hot water from spring in which freezing water of Parvati is brought through a pipe and mixed. It is believed that if you take a bath in this pond all your skin disease will vanish. In the vicinity where water is mixed, the water temperature varies from hot to cold. So you can enjoy lukewarm water. I took the bathe and then I headed up to Langar food. This has been my first ever Gurudwara visit. I would skip the traditional beauty of Gurudwara. I had delicious food there. Most people miss they also serve sweet (Halwa) in form of Prasad upstairs. Never miss that. You can book your room in Gurudwara if you want to stay there. It's free. Free food and free stay make many foreigners crazy. Next, I visited the temple. Clicked some pictures. Here was a thing that no-one told me before. Manikaran is beautiful, but you can hardly spend 3-4 hours only not the entire stay. So I chose to go Kasol again. There are buses every 10 minutes, but I chose to hitchhike. Those two guys were high on weed like most people there. They asked me to take a puff.I said I don't drink and smoke. They said that there is nothing here for you then. They told me from here on, every place is Kasol, where you want to go?I was confused, this situation was never written on any blog. They dropped me at the market.I walked through the market, there was nothing new in that place. There were just ordinary hill station shops and few hotels. I felt cheated by the place and decided to go back.At the bus station while I was waiting for the bus. Some locals suggested me to go to Tosh or to Kheerganga trek. Since I had a healing leg and a luggage, so I was avoiding the difficult long trek. Then this guy appeared, he told me that he has a cafe on the top of Sheela village. It's an easy trek, and he showed me some pictures too.It was a risky choice this guy could be anything. But going back was not the best option either, so I said yes.The bus stopped near a small shop named Naina cafe. It was 4 pm already. As long as the Sun is visible mountains are mesmerizing, beautiful but once it sets they become scary. I wanted to make sure before it happened, I should be in a room. Just beside this cafe, the trek started it lasted around 1 hour going through some easy and rough terrain. Entire time the sound of Parvati River was just adding magic to the journey.I don't even remember when it was the last time when I witnessed the pattern of leaves.Or I danced to the music of water or screamed my heart out, or I wasonly physically exhausted. Facing the fear of death every moment, I only felt what it meant to be alive. It was the first time when I saw something beautiful and did not capture it because I knew no camera can capture what I was feeling while trekking. That's how beautiful little Sheela village trek was.It would be unfair to travellers if I try explain what I felt in words. It was in the true sense, the first night I ever spent in nature. Itwas magical from the Sunrise to the Sunset. It turned out that I was the first customer for that new homestay and their place was in construction. I chipped in my bit. There were a few guys who have left their jobs from metro cities and intended to live forever in this place. Obviously, they all were shouting 'Bum Bhole'. Later that turned out to be a problem that they all were so high when they slept, it was hard to wake them up. I and one more guy had to check out, but there was no one to receive payment. We called on their phone too. Even we left a message that we would pay online in whatever means they would say when they will wake up. Later, around after an hour when we were walking through the long route just to spend more time on this, they came to us and misbehaved. That 5 km walk from that place to last bus stop point, is the best part of my entire journey. Most people who go even further up during camping generally take a taxi to come back. That walk around the Sheela Village is beyond words, I came across places where adventure was the only mean to go ahead. It was scary in between when we realized we two guys were all alone walking through that place and it started to rain too but luckily it stopped.Walking through that unusual route I realized how beautiful life could be, how much we can do in a day. In our usual life we don’t even realize its value. Every day, every place is beautiful as long as you are not stuck there.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.21-22
 Dhwani Shah
 7 June 2019

Be Fluid - In Gita Verse 1.21-22 Arjuna said: O infallible one, please draw my chariot between the two armies so that I may see those present here, who desire to fight, and with whom I must contend in this great trial of arms..In the Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.20, says that Arjuna took up his bow and prepared to shoot his arrows. Suddenly before releasing the arrow he said to Krishna, whom he addresses as the infallible, please take my chariot between the two armies so that I may see those present here, who desire to fight, and with whom I must contend in this great trial of arms..This shows that before the war actually starts he wanted to see all the warriors of both the sides. He did not say that I would like to see only Kaurava warriors. He said that take in the middle of both the armies, he wanted to look again at everyone not to judge but to observe. This is the difference. When someone wants to judge he also observes but he only observers the objective world and not both the sides . Someone as an observer wants to observe, he will observe both sides everything. Both persons approach is different. The person who wants to judge that person’s approach is comparison and finding fault with others. Person as observer will not only see the opposite side but will also very carefully see own side too. He will be observing as a neutral person and find out what is the strength of both the parties and how our strength can be used, without becoming unconscious about it.He was knowing very well that if we focus on others and find fault like the Hare, Tortoise will win. So don’t become unconscious regarding our strength. Before the war started it’s the right time to watch everyone again.Everyone from both party were ready for war, means they were ready not only with their arms but also with their strength and weakness. This observation will be very much useful during the war - for his party both, strength and weakness can be taken into consideration so if they become unconscious regarding their strength at any time we can remind them. If they become prey of their weakness immediately they need to be protected. But the opposite party mistook their strength and fell prey to their weakness. This immediately needs to be arrested. How you use your observation changes everything. How you convert all the odds and unfavourable into favourable. This plays very important role in accomplishing our goal. Whereas we need not focus on the goal but move towards the goal. We are afraid of change this is the reason we want to focus on goal. Goal is in the future and change is in the present moment. If we change our direction in this moment everything will change.Remember: we don’t want change. We are afraid to change because with the change new responsibilities, new challenges will arise. And we are afraid whether we will be able to cope with them or not, so it is better to remain with the old because with the old we have become skillful, efficient, with the old you are the master. With the new, who knows? You may be the master, you may not be the master.Arjuna showed courage to look into present moment, after all the arrangement was done, still he wanted to relook into every ones arrangement and preparedness and whether any changes were required. This needs tremendous courage. Anything can happen when we relook at our preparation.Gita is not somewhere at the end but from the beginning it says that be aware and alert regarding your present moment, and you will be able to move into the next moment with awareness. Don’t get stuck to your goal but become flow in the present moment’s act. Be fluid. If you become more fluid, you begin to move in a less fixed way; you become one with your consciousness.Water represents the changing element, the eternally changing, flux-like phenomenon. Those who are ready to change, and forget and forgive the past, and are ready to go with the moment, are the real human beings because they are the adventurers. They know the beauty of life and the benedictions of life. And life reveals its mysteries only to these people, and only to these people - because they are worthy, they have earned it. By risking, they have earned. They are courageous. In the water blows the wind of the Gentle. And if you become a water-like phenomenon - changing, constantly changing, moving, flowing, never clinging to the past and the old, always searching for the new and always enjoying the new - then the wind of the Gentle blows, then grace descends. Then beatitude descends in your being. Then the first dance of the divinity in you that is called “the wind of the Gentle.”God is very gentle. He never knocks on your door. You never hear His footsteps. When He comes, He comes so silently, without making any noise. Unless you are water-like, the breeze of God will never dance on you. First become fluid.

Early walkways through London

London is a city that is open for all, welcomes with all the favours you require and it is a city that has so many places, cultural systems and multi-tasking platforms that can certainly make your day if you are about to begin a cultural tournament like European Quiz Championship for which as a field activity we the Indian Visually Impaired team took upon ourselves to explore and have some joy in the city.Usually we arrived here in the early morning through two connecting flights and were certainly tired thus getting a stay to get fresh closer to the airport through support of Indian Quiz Federation was a great venture and we took upon ourselves to have some rest, have some vegetarian feast for ourselves and have great tastes. From there on we have to decide where we should stay for next five days, have to plan our whole field routine between the complete tournament with our hopes to go forward and thence after 2 hours of rest and comfort we took a cab and started our adventure in such a prominent city. The team that is known for certain natural ventures and cultural moves is a certain great habit to have and thence we planned our four different ways for the whole day with some prominent names joining us later and we settled it first visiting through the Tems river, then going closer to the seashore, Thence closing on our trip with some steep pillar areas and ultimately to visit famous hot spots of the city in the eve that was going to be a great experience. In such plans, we first analysed how much has been settled by the board for the travel ventures, discussed with our management how to be comfortable with some prominent names of international fames joining us and also let them know what we were up for that should be perfect to make the day for sure. Once that was all clear, it was not big deal to settle the adventures and before doing that we gradually settled for a short brunch, observed some local nature based commitments for environment and after having both steps we now looked forward for a glorius day coming ahead in such a city like London with lot of joy to be part of indeed. Our trip of the day started with having lot of joy as a team with some great names across Tames river where we had short under-water fun session and we also enjoyed boating, river-rafting and Kayaking which was all great experience to cherish as a group bonding session as a team. Once that was over we headed towards the sea shore and there at the beach we took over a task to perform as a  nature based activity collecting recycling products and using them to recycle with certain machines available which was a group activity once again and made our delight increase a lot having it done accordingly. After having the activities closer to water sports, we retreived back for a short lunch and having vegetarian cooked food for us as a team thence we headed towards some Pillar-owned places with historic essence where we explored with our hands and devices, talked with local guides about their evidence-based maturity and had lot of laughter pulling each other leg as a team. Finally after these three trips were over, the last one was approaching and we took upon ourselves to have another cab ride with two guides for us who stopped the cab on every local venture to explore and it was a great community view of London we had by their support which was all at large great fun to have with group activities and happy atmosphere allalong that is always energetic before any tournament to come and make impact. Ultimately the joy of outdoor fun was over and the formal procession to face the best was approaching soon which meant that European Quiz Championship was not far to begin and it was few hours before we would again sit amongst those all and would be competing but before as a team we gathered closer to the place where we are going to spend our five days as stay and we found some local experts enjoying musical play which we listened on and refreshed our  mood before such formal activity from next day would begin. We confirmed to the officials of the stay rooms that we would have five day settlement in the place and the financial expert of the team paid the official charges with a small help by me as a captain as a group contribution, had some joy with the team before going in to sleep and after having quick pieces of vegetarian supper which is our core demand the night was now approaching fast and we were getting ready to do our best. By all means it was a great day outdoor, we had lot of joy as a group with some prominent names of global respect also joining us and before going to sleep we texted them online thanking their presence and with smiles all over they also responded great. By all accounts now the only hope is to do well in the tournament, As a captain  am assured that we only have to focus our goal coming ahead and let's hope we must perform up to our expectations all over the globe, till more happy moments come by with great furver It's cheers from charlie...

Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.29
 Dhwani Shah
 14 June 2019

Imperfection - In Gita Verse 1.29 My whole body is trembling, my hair is standing on end, my bow Gāṇḍīva is slipping from my hand, and my skin is burning.Arjuna is looking at himself with more alertness and intensity. He is now giving details of where and what symptoms he has in his body. This shows that first he wants to reconnect himself with his subjectivity. As after looking to all his friends and family members who are right now divided. It was very painful and emotional moment for him. If some die it can be understood but if someone is not ready for any kind of mutual understanding, this moments is very painful.Mutual understanding is foundation of all relationships. Everyone has their different thinking, desires, goals, but there is always a way by which everyone can come to a common platform by mutual understanding and support each other. As every one of us are incomplete and imperfect. Unless we work to support each other no one can grow either in objective world or subjective world.'Imperfection' is not a derogatory word, it is almost synonymous with a living flow. Complete, where will you be going? what will you be doing?' Complete means growth has stopped, you have come to your very end. All that was potential has become actual - that's what completion means. Now there is nothing else but to die.Imperfection means there is more still awaiting, much is going to happen. If you accept your imperfection, and you live it in totality. These are two different things. To believe that your imperfection is perfect is utterly wrong. But be total in each moment - when you are imperfect be TOTALLY imperfect. And then out of that totality you start growing. The day you become perfect you are no more needed - the perfect ones are discarded immediately. So life never becomes perfect; it goes on moving. From one totality to another totality, from one imperfection to another imperfection, it goes on, it goes on. Imperfection is simply life, aliveness, growth, evolution. So why go on condemning imperfection? The Vedas say: AMRITASYA PUTRAH - YOU are the sons of immortality, deathlessness. You come out of nectar, you are made of the stuff of which nectar is made - AMRITASYA PUTRAH. YOU are sons of God, daughters of God - it simply means your potential is infinite, it can never be exhausted. Whatsoever you become, you will again find new doors opening, new peaks challenging, new adventures waiting for you, new dimensions calling you forth, invoking, provoking. One never comes to the dead end.God does not mean perfection, god simply means the energy that goes on moving. Each moment, you can be total. And from one totality you can slip into another totality; one totality helps you to be total in another moment. If you were angry totally, then you will be loving totally - the totality in anger helped you to be totally in love. But you are incomplete; everything is incomplete. That's why things are growing, that's why there is so much evolution. God, is an evolving concept.God, to be at all, has to be as imperfect as you are. Then what is the difference between you and God? He is total and you are not total. He accepts his imperfections; you don't accept, you go on rejecting. That is the difference. The difference is not in perfection, the difference is in acceptance. You deny, you reject, you hide, you defend, you remain closed, you are afraid. You never go into anything really, you remain out of it - afraid, fearful, scared, ready to escape if sometimes things become too much. You go only so far.The difference between you and God is only one: he goes UTTERLY into everything. When God dances, there is no dancer, there is only dance - he is so utterly in it. When God loves, there is no lover, there is only love he is so utterly in it. You are never total. Imperfect you are, imperfect is everything - these trees, these birds, these skies, everything is imperfect. But remember, by 'imperfection' is not condemnatory, is praising life. When our focus is on us physically, mentally and emotionally shows that we are not trying to change objective world but want to live in that moment of objective world becoming alert about our emotions and mental limitation is willingness to work on that. Arjuna when he says that “ My whole body is trembling, my hair is standing on end, my bow Gāṇḍīva is slipping from my hand, and my skin is burning” he is not saying from weakness he is courageous to work on his unconsciousness without condemning it. If he will not work on that he will not be able to fight the war and deliver his assignment given by Universe. He turns to Krishna not as a weak human being but as a courageous Individual.
