By air: The nearest airport to Kasol is Kullu Manali Airport also known as Bhuntar Airport in Kullu district. Daily flights connect the airport to the country’s capital, Delhi. You can book a cab or a taxi to go to Kasol from the Bhuntar airport which is a mere 31 km and will take you about 1 hour to reach there. The nearest airport to Kasol is located in Bhuntar, which is 31 kilometres away.

By bus: Buses ply daily to Kasol from Kashmiri Gate ISBT in Delhi mostly being semi-sleeper Volvos for about 1000 to 1500 INR per seat. This journey takes about 11 to 12 hours. You have to then get down at Bhuntar, and take another bus towards Manikaran. It takes up to 7 hours from Chandigarh to Kasol via road. A bus from Kullu to Kasol via Bhuntar takes about 3 hours to cover the distance of 40 km.


By train: Kasol does not have a railway station of its own. To reach Kasol by railways you have to get off at the nearest railway station to Kasol which is Joginder Nagar railway station, about 144 km from the village of Kasol. You can take a cab from the station to reach Kasol or a bus from the Joginder Nagar Bus Stand towards Manikaran which should take about 4.5 to 5 hours. Joginder Nagar is the nearest railway station to Kasol in Himachal Pradesh.

Road/Self Drive: Being one of the most visited places in India by foreign tourists, the village is accessible via excellent road facility. The NH-3 is the main road leading to this village towards Manali. A road journey should simply just be as enjoyable and pleasant as Kasol itself.

By air: The nearest airport is Bhuntar airport also called the Kullu-Manali airport stand at 50 kms from Manali and is well connected to all places here with taxis. Air India flights are all available from Delhi to Manali.

By bus: Manali is 570 kms from Delhi and is well connected via government and private buses. Comfortable Volvo and Mercedes Benz also ply on the roads connecting Delhi to Manali via Ambala cantonment and Chandigarh area.

By train: Unfortunately there are no nearer rail gauge to Manali but one can go for the Chandigarh, Pathankot and Kalka railheads to reach Manali with another few couple of ticks on clock. The railways are still under plans for improvement.

Road/Self Drive: Manali is well connected with Delhi and other cities via roads. One can always hop on his car or private vehicle to enjoy beautiful journey to this beautiful place.

By air: Bhuntar has its airport known as the Kullu-Manali airport. There are two flights daily from Delhi to Bhuntar. However, the airport is not functional at all the times. It takes 1 hour 15 minutes to reach Bhuntar from Delhi. There are flights also available from other major cities like Chennai, Mumbai but are usually very expensive and take a lot of time to reach Bhuntar.

By train: The nearest railway station for any major city/town in Himachal Pradesh is the Pathankot, about 144 km away from Bhuntar. All the main trains pass through Pathankot including Jammu Tawi and Himsagar Express from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, etc. You can also take a train to New Delhi or till Chandigarh and take a cab or a bus from there to reach Bhuntar.

Road/Self Drive: Reaching Bhuntar by road is fairly easier than by any other means of transport. It is only 10 km from Kullu and about 50 km from Manali. HPSRTC (Himachal Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) buses from cities like Jaipur, Delhi and Chandigarh, are available at regular intervals, apart from the usual private car/bus services.
