Your search for negativity
Pessimism and negativity in our daily lives
 Ekta Bhatnager
 25 February 2018

How many times have we heard people say ‘be optimistic and positive in life’? I know I have, whenever things have not been going as I expect them to, there will always be someone giving you a little pep talk on being positive. It is human nature to fall prey to negative thoughts and be pessimistic because, we cannot be happy at all times. Things will always not fall in place and there will be times when you need to work harder than you already are.It is at these stressful times that you should ask yourself... do I really let such negative thoughts take over me...yes! Embrace your failures, your insecurities and your pessimistic attitude instead of just running away from it.Pessimism and negativity can take a toll in your life. They make you irritated, agitated, and restless and can even lead to anxiety and depression. Negativity drains you off all your energy and can have a physical setback to your body. Such thoughts not only affect you but also people around you. Who wants to be with someone who is always brooding and is a pessimist?Have that moment of brooding, of being sad, of letting all your negative thoughts getting to you, but know how to come out of it.Once you have had that moment of pessimism, it is time for you to gear up and overcome the setbacks in your life. Let that moment go away and be motivated to get some action going in your life. How can you do away with such negativity in daily life? What are the sources from where you get such negative thoughts? Are they television, music, a colleague at work, social media? Replace these sources with something better and fun.Stop blowing up small or medium sized issues. Exercise regularly or just take a walk outside in the fresh air and you will feel refreshed. Be grateful for the things that you have in life instead of brooding over what you want or do not have.If negative thoughts are still bothering you, let it out. Talk to someone trustworthy, share your feelings and then see how light you feel.Switching to positive thoughts is a conscious decision. You just need to replace your negative thoughts with positive ones. They will energize you, increase your productivity at work and most importantly make you feel happy and content.

Depression:~Phase Of Life
 Saloni Maliwal
 17 April 2019

Depression is a mental illness which is suffered by all the age group people but mostly teenagers. In other words, depression is also known as sever sadness or sorrow a person suffers or sever unhappiness a person feels. Teenagers often lead to depression if they face rejections in life or are disappointed by some things in their life. Depression may lead to many other things. People think that they can never come out of depression but that’s not true. You can always overcome depression. If you are depressed it’s not your fault, if you are depressed it’s because you come across in a phase where you feel terribly sad or terribly disturbed because of something you lead to depression.Depression often leads people on a wrong path which they never wished off. At times its too late when nothing can be done and a wrong step is taken but it is never too late to try changing things and to begin something new. Teenagers are often depressed because of the mental pressure they have because of studies and the career they have to choose. At times being with wrong people and leading towards wrong doings lead teenager towards depression. Parental pressure also leads to sever depression. How you would question? I have an answer to it. Parents often force their children to choose a career as per their wish and will but not what the child wants. Also putting too much of pressure on the child for scoring well and for achieving good grades lead to teenagers facing mental depression if they do not come up to the expectation of their parents, they think they have disappointed them and could not to do what they parents wished. If you are a teenager and you have a unhealthy relationship with your partner and your relationship is and on and off thing it might lead one of the partners towards depression. If you are very attached to your partner and if your partner leaves you, you end up staying alone, reserving yourself, not eating, being sad and being in pain and sorrow and in the end, it leads to depression. And then depression leads to many other things like suicide, isolating yourself and many other things.Depression is more commonly found in woman then man. You lack of joyfulness and happiness and you have lost interest in things you really liked at a point of time. The causes of depression is never been fully understood because it is sometimes genetic, sometimes biological, sometimes psychological or environmental. As I mentioned it earlier depression is mostly found in teenagers or people who are in between of their teenage or adult hood. They get irritated very easily and are angry out of a sudden. At times it’s to difficult to handle because you never know what would happen next. It never too easy. As a parent it is very difficult to handle this kind of behaviour without knowing the reason why is it happening and what is the cause behind it. At that age teenagers often end up not talking to their parents as here is generation difference and thinking difference. But I really think as a eighteen year old that is really not a solution. You would end up doing some thing wrong if you do not share the problem with anyone. If you really start being depressed it would be really hard for you to over come it alone. No ne over comes depression alone because it is very hard. I have been at a phase where was depressed for six months after I lost my best friend because of cancer and it is true that you can never get over it alone. I went for counselling for almost six months to get over depression and it really helped and now I am here. Being in depression is never good because your mind would flow with negative thoughts and negatives things which you might do. You would not speak anything positive because all you would think is negative things and thoughts. Even if you try to think good you would not be able to because your mind would be blocked with negativity. As I have been there at a point of time it just becomes easier if you talk about it to someone close or to someone elder it might just help you and might make you feel a lot better. It is never too late for something but yes that is one of the solutions I personally suggest a teenager who is depressed or who is mentally disturbed. There are many ways to express yourself if you feel uncomfortable to talk to someone face to face write them up a letter about how you are and how you feel. That might help you and you would be comfortable to share your pain with another person and it might just do better to you. If you are a teenager and you are depressed and you are if you are reading this blog, share your problem or pain along with either of your parents who you are close to. If that does not work if you have a counselor in your school or college try talking to them once they might just you something better. If you require more help you can always approach doctors for further help. Depression is not something you should be scared of. Some times every second person is facing depression or has faced depression once in their life. It is never too easy to fight back with it. You do get weak at a certain point of time or you might just want to give up the fight but some day you would just win over it. It is just a fight you cannot do alone and you need someone who you trust enough to understands your problem and is ready to listen to you and help you to recover. It’s nothing bad in the end its just a phase everyone faces and you will be fine once you are over the phase.~By Saloni Maliwal

Boost Your Self Confidence Through Trekking
 Manmohan Singh
 27 May 2019

Apart from many physical benefits, trekking also helps you in improving the mental as well as psychological health. To know more read the following article. In the last few years trekking in India has witnessed a huge surge in its popularity. And this led to the importance of distinct trekking tours in India such as trekking in Ladakh, Triund, Parashar Lake, etc. Though people have been following it as a trend there are multiple health benefits associated with it as well. It is easy to guess the physical benefits that include improved heart health, effective breathing, stamina, strength, etc. But there are psychological and mental benefits as well that boosts the self-confidence of an individual.Let’s examine how trekking boost self-confidence:Relieves stress: Hectic meetings, deadlines, performance, etc. all these burden the mind with stress which is the source of various health issues. Trekking, on the other hand, distracts the mind from a chaotic lifestyle and gives you space to breathe. For example, trekking in Nepal in amidst of the Himalayas helps you forget the stress and allures you towards the beauty of mountains. This releases endorphins responsible for relieving stress in the body and mind and ultimately makes you happy.Improves outlook: Negativity, unwillingness, anxiety, etc. often blocks the mind and doesn’t let you focus on the work. Whereas, trekking gives you the opportunity to drift these negativities away and focus on the necessary things. You may be trekking in hills, valleys, beaches, forests, etc. it helps you focus on the details of the environment which changes your outlook. It replaces negativity with positivity and feeds energy to the mind and body.Detoxifies digitally: Being digitally active all the time is another way that blocks the thinking capability of the mind and affects the nervous system. Going on a trek helps you detoxify digitally. It reconnects you with nature and brings awareness to the mind as well as body. This enhances the performance at work, communication skills and teaches compassion towards self and others.Strategic planning: Trekking is the most uncertain experience therefore it introduces you to the challenges that may come in the way. It helps you understand the challenges that may come, how to combat and ultimately win over them. As you gain experience, it helps you plan strategically for the trek as well as for life. Moreover, it helps in building managerial skills such as leadership, strategy management, resource planning, etc. To challenge your managerial skills trekking in Ladakh is the best trek route in India.Builds social circle: There can be a possibility that you are good at work but shy to build relations at work. Trekking helps you connect with people from around the globe to share thoughts and express yourself. You may either trek alone and be friends with a bunch of unknown trekkers and make connections for life. You may also trek with your colleagues, friends, family, etc. You will be benefited either way.Develops spirituality: Not many people can remember the last time they peek into their spiritual souls. The struggle between your personal and social life restricts you for the same. But if you are trekking in India, it isn’t that difficult to connect with the spiritual self. The river bank of the holy river Ganga, temples in India, trekking to the religious destinations helps you discover the spiritual self.Enhances efficiency: Since stress is relieved, the outlook is improved, digitally detoxified, strategic planning is improved, etc. All these eventually have positive effects on performance at work. Trekking helps you focus and concentrate on things for longer, sharpen your abilities and skills and helps you rediscover yourself. This enhances efficiency at work or at home. All the above-mentioned reasons shape the overall personality of an individual and hence, boost the self-confidence.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.41
 Dhwani Shah
 22 June 2019

Objective World - In Gita Verse 1.41 An increase of unwanted population certainly causes hellish life both for the family and for those who destroy the family tradition. The ancestors of such corrupt families fall down, because the performances for offering them food and water are entirely stopped. This words of Arjuna are coming from his unconsciousness. When we are conscious towards ourselves we look and observe the circumstances differently than when we are unconscious. Objective world is just mirroring our consciousness and unconsciousness. We all have experienced that whenever we have vested interest we don’t get angry. Keeping alertness of our vested interest we don’t get angry and focus on what we need to do at that moment.Because of our lack of self-consciousness we are not able to see what that person or circumstances has given us and we create guilt for it.In the background our mind is always saying that we are doing something wrong we are selfish etc. These thoughts will drive us in some other direction, it becomes negative. Because I cannot show my anger to someone I will be looking for the person who is weak then me and I will throw the anger on them. This is how our vicious circle of incompletion goes on which we title as negativity. Here we miss out one important thing which actually happen is because of our selfishness are focus was on what is available with the other person and because of this we instead of getting angry, focus on our work. If we realize this then we will look into everyone what is available with the other person. In that process two things happen simultaneously one we on our own drop guilt and we look for the possibility in the life. We become calm. This is not selfishness but self-alertness.With our own experience of small actions of awareness what it has given us in this moment it liberates us from anger and guilt. If we read this verse from that experience then immediately you will find that how much our unconsciousness towards the self is damaging us. The importance of self-awareness is realized. There is no other hell then our unconsciousness towards the self and there is no other heaven then our self-consciousness.From your own experience you will be able to see that when we are conscious towards ourselves there is feeling of completion and when we are unconscious towards ourselves we feel incomplete, irritation, etc.As right now Arjuna was unconscious towards the self he feels that not only I but right now whoever is present over here they will be “The ancestors of such corrupt families fall down, because the performances for offering them food and water are entirely stopped.”He want to become saviour. He forgets that Universe has different plan for this war. Krishna himself tried to avoid the war, he failed. He is just executing the plan of Universe. When our action is from self-alertness, we will be delivering the Universe assignment then our family members will be blessed by Universe and not called as corrupt families. On the contrary when we will be unconscious towards ourselves then our family will be called as corrupt families.Living in this objective world only we can turn ourselves towards self-consciousness. People who has left this objective world for their subjective world are more egoistic then people who live in this objective world and face each moments challenge and reality. Running away is not a solution. Living in this objective world is only solution for self-alertness, self-consciousness. Taking the responsibility to live self-consciously is big challenge. Accept this challenge, live with it consciously, see how playfully you can transcend the objective world into subjective world. If Arjuna will see that same circumstances with self-consciousness it will be assignment of the universe to fight without enmity then he will see that his family members will be blessed and if he will see from unconsciousness of self he will see that his family will be “because the performances for offering them food and water are entirely stopped”. How we look that changes our contest of act. From the verse it clearly says that Arjuna become unconscious towards himself.
