1. This book emerges from more than a decade of personal spiritual inquiry.

What question first set you on this search for an eternal, indivisible Truth?

A: The existential questions of “Who am I” and what is the purpose of this life?, that

led me to explore the existence as perceived by various schools of philosophy and

science.

2. You assert that Truth can only be one, despite the many belief systems that exist.

Was this conviction something you always held, or did it emerge through doubt

and inner conflict?

A: Truth can only be one. You may call it “my” conviction, but it is simple logic.

3. As a surgeon trained in some of the most rigorous medical institutions, you live in a

world of evidence and precision.

How did your scientific training influence the way you approached spiritual

enquiry?

A: Excellent question. Doctors and surgeons in particular need evidence or proof to

accept anything. We prefer not to do anything with blind faith. That is the reason I had to

do my own research of Truth, rather than blindly following some path or the other.

4. The book does not preach but invites examination of religion, science, philosophy, and

the self.

Why was it important for you to pose questions rather than provide definitive

answers?

A: It is precisely the same reason mentioned in the previous answer. I do not think

anyone should follow blindly. It is the blind faith in some path or the other that is causing

a great amount of conflict in human history. Everyone must do the inquiry for

themselves, taking the pointers from seniors.

5. You write from lived experience rather than borrowed philosophy.

Was there a moment in your journey when intellectual understanding gave way to

direct insight?

A: Yes. I mentioned it in the “Present Moment” chapter of the book. There are

experiences. But one must not go by my experience. One must experience oneself.

6. The book touches upon the illusions and divisions that create conflict in society.

From your perspective, what is the most misunderstood cause of division among

human beings today?

A: At a superficial level, it is religion. At a deeper level, it is the human mind itself that

strives upon division.

7. Surgery demands intense focus, presence, and responsibility.

Did your professional life ever act as a mirror for deeper spiritual truths?

A: Definitely. As surgeons we face life and death at close quarters. It makes us think

about the origin of life, the afterlife, why some people must suffer so much and many

other questions. In a broader sense, if the mind is receptive, all our life situations are

trying to give us a message and teach us something. One must have an open mind and

be receptive to learn.

8. You suggest that knowing Truth can eliminate conflicts both within and without.

How did this realization transform your own inner life and relationships?

A: It made me calm and contemplate more. As mentioned in the previous answer, one

tends to learn from every life situation. There is a reason and purpose in everything that

happens. Once this realization comes, there is acceptance and friction in the

relationships comes down.

9. Writing about Truth requires clarity and courage.

What was the most difficult part of putting this journey into words?

A: Finding time to sit down and write! On a serious note, philosophically speaking, I

cannot say that I have written this book. It just manifested through me. Especially the

“Non-duality” chapter simply flowed through. As mentioned in that chapter, when all that

there is, is One; everything happens in That only. This type of statements do not make

sense to the average mind. One needs to explore to comprehend the depth of such

statements.

10. If a reader finishes this book and feels quietly unsettled but more honest with themselves

Would you consider that a meaningful outcome? What do you hope truly stays

with them?

A: M-Mème is an all-encompassing idea. Purpose of the book is to make people think

and perceive beyond the traditional frames of the mind. It may unsettle some people,

and one may say that is indeed a meaningful outcome. I hope the core idea of Truth

being one, stays in the minds of the readers and gets propagated. Hopefully more

people search for the Truth themselves and there will be less conflict in the society.
