Q: Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.

A: I am just a 12 year old school boy. I joined school at a normal age; but two roads diverged into the woods and I took the one less travelled by. I guess that has made the difference. I still vividly remember when I used to hold that ABC book upside down but read with as much determination as a NEET or JEE student. Slowly but steadily, I became civilized (Mentally) and particular.  The development of the mind resulted in improved ethics and a unique way of thinking.

Q: How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?

A: I first got exposed and associated with literature with this book called “PINNOCHIO”. It is a very popular story, and it has been adapted into movies too.

Though Carlo Collodi had used much simplified language, but for then me being a first or second grader, it was literature to me. With this I developed the aptitude for reading literature (but now the level has changed from Collodi to Poe, though)

I can say that my dedication towards reading inspired me to write. I never thought about writing poems till sixth grade. But rather this should be modified to “who inspired you to write”. If that’s the question, I can blindly say my father. He is the one who improved my vocabulary to this extent.

Q: What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work?

A: Talking of difficulties, my biggest enemy is noise. I cannot concentrate when there is unnecessary sound. But the difficulty is never running out of fuel. For I am a poetry man, my point of view for literature is totally different.

Q: What is your view about the present-day literary work?

Present literature is a mixture or different styles of writing. Writers like Anand Neelkanthan, Amish, and Chetan Bhagat etc. have their own way of weaving their yarn, but a little essence of other styles is prevalent. I cannot compare their skills because nowadays only two to three authors from the same genre are seen on the book rack and all the writers I mentioned are of different genres.

Q: Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers?

A: Digital media has provided a huge platform for young and aspiring writers like me. There are lakhs like me striving for recognition, and it has affected many lives. But social media has to be used for writing very carefully. If any inappropriate content is written and posted on social media, it can be a negative sign for the writer’s upcoming journey.

Q: Please tell us something about your literary work.

A: This my first attempt into the world of literature. All I can tell about my literary work is that it is a poetry collection with themes that touch every aspect of life.

Q: What was your first literary work and how was it published?

A: My first book is about to be published in two months or so. I am very excited about it.

Q: How many ways literature can contribute to society in future?

A: In future, literature can contribute to all fields such as science and commerce and also in other businesses. Literature will be ergonomic.

Q: Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?

A: In 5 years I picture myself as a successful published author. Though not a big writer, but at least I will not go unnoticed in a crowd.

Q: What ways would you suggest on building a community for poets?

A: I was planning to build a society for poets’ right after seeing the movie dead poets’ society. My idea is that first a digital platform should be used to create a community for poets and writers and then there should be meetings, orientations, seminars etc.

Q: What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers?

A: I would like to convey this message to the young aspiring writers like me:

HOLD ON TO YOUR DREAMS,

DON’T LET THEM DIE,

WITHPUT THEM,

WE ARE BIRDS THAT CANNOT FLY.

A: My experience on writing on storyMirror has been a memorable one. StoryMirror has provided me a platform on which I can let my ideas and words at stray. I will continue writing on StoryMirror.
