  7. For 21 years old Foreigners: Their driving license will be valid initially up to 2 years. After these two years, the driving license shall be renewed. After renewal, it will be valid for 5 years.

Seat belts and Reckless Driving:

  1. Every passenger is required to wear a seat belt. EVERY PASSENGER.
  2. Reckless Driving is the easiest way to spend your AED 2,000. Additionally to get slapped with 23 black points and confiscation of your vehicle.
  3. No driving without a number plate & all international driving rules applies such as following the traffic lights and no sudden swerving.
  4. Speed is restricted to under 80k mph. 

Drinks & Mobile Devices:


Any distraction in the form of mobile devices or the like will cause AED 400 and being slapped with 4 black points.


Moreover, Drinking and Driving is the easiest way for your deportation or jail. At a minimum, your driving license shall be suspended for 1 whole year. This suspension shall take place from the day of the verdict.
