A travel blogger and photographer's journey

StoryMirror interviewed Rahil Kamal, Dada Sahab Award Winner, travel blogger and photographer and asked him about his passions, dreams and adventures. This is what he has to say -

StoryMirror: Tell us about yourself.
Rahil:
My name is Rahil Kamal. I am 24 and my hometown is SiddharthNagar.

I have spent most of my time in Lucknow and Aligarh. I live in Delhi for past three years. I have done journalism in Live India and then in India voice for two years.

Apart from this, I am a freelance photographer.Travelling was my hobby at the beginning but now it's my passion.

I am associated with story mirror as a cinematographer and a travel blogger from last six months. Story mirror is sponsoring my latest trip.

It's an amazing platform to challenge your limits.

My passion is learning about life through travelling and exploring new things. it excites me when I visit new places, learn different cultures, and see other people live a life that is different from mine. I just love to travel because it makes me realize that the world is so beautiful and there is so much to admire and treasure.

Furthermore, I love the feeling I get when I explore new ideas, histories, beliefs, and sceneries. It not only increases my knowledge but also helps me overcome problems that I am dealing with. I get to experience life’s problems, pleasures, and rise above my personal bubble to become a better person through exploring new cultures. Travelling is my passion because it’s an activity that I am not afraid of pursuing. I learn more about myself and expand my horizons every time I travel.

StoryMirror:  What is your life's greatest dream
Rahil: My biggest dream is travel whole world. To explore every corner of the world and to skydive from the highest point.

A huge part of growing up is to experience new things, meet new people and even go to other places far away from where you live. I thought I should do something different and break my boring routine. The idea of traveling to exotic places hit me.
I started my travelling in 2014. I have travelled almost complete India. I have visited Uttarakhand, Himachal pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra pradesh, Karnataka, Puducheri, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya and in coming month I will visit Darjeeling and Assam.

At present, I am on a Bike ride to explore south India. I have travelled Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala on a bike.

That's almost thirty cities covering around 2100 kilometres.

It's been twenty days since I quit my job for travelling.

One of the most amazing experiences of my life was when I was in Banaras and spent two days with Agoris.

In one of my trip, I found out that people use sign languages in Meghalaya.

StoryMirror:  How do you see yourself in next 5 years?
Rahil: Five years down the road I see myself growing into a travel blogger and travel photographer where I’ll be able to use my skills to support and influence others.

I am very passionate about outreach and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to be heavily involved in this area.
