Recently I have gone through an Oriya Magazine (monthly). In the rules and regulation column, it is written that priority of publishing articles should be given those writers, who are the subscribers of the magazine. That means quality of the article has no value. On the other hand, the writers, whose articles are published, should get a free copy as complement. But the rules imply that the writers have to pay for the free copy. The editor has also forgotten about the payment to the writer. So, how can one make writing his/her profession?
Rabbit DoubtA group of rabbits used to have fun playing games and lived together happily. One day, a wolf disguised itself as a rabbit and snuck in under the pretext of being their friend. When the rabbits would fall asleep, the wolf would appear in its true form and kill the rabbits one by one every night. Not knowing what to do, the rabbits held a meeting to address the matter. They decided the one among themselves who was most likely to be the wolf and killed it. If they chose correctly, the rabbits would win. If not, the wolf would keep picking them off one by one. This is the basic plot of “rabbit doubt”, a game played among the youth where a group of people convene to play by the aforementioned rules. A group of rabbits where one is given the role of the wolf. However, this amazingly thought out manga by Yoshiki Tonogai takes a turn for the worse when Yuu, Mitsuki, Rei, Hajime, Eiji and Haruka, people who often play the rabbit’s doubt together decide to meet up for a good time, but are instead captured and forced to play the game by the dark, bloody rules that underlie this seemingly innocent activity. They wake up in an abandoned building with a barcode on each of them. They move around in the house trying to find an escape route but end up finding Rei nailed to a wall. Doubt and isolation make friends turn against each other, making it easier for the wolf to carry out the Devil’s work. The wolf has already made his move and has claimed his first victim. Who could the wolf be? And can they be stopped before they strike again?Image source- https://www.zerochan.net/t 15220
Book - Wheels of WishAuthor - Bibhu Datta RoutGenre - Mythological and crime fictionMy Ratings - 3.5 / 5 ⭐️Review -This Crime Fiction novel by author Bibhu Datta Rout is both intriguing and refreshing. The story revolves around an incident that occurs in 2008, with the accused being Shashank, also happens to be in a romantic relationship with Roohani, the victim of the crime. This leads to an interesting chain of investigations, a lot of courtroom drama and conspiracies of unheard, unimaginable circumstances and links to past as old as 13th century. The story goes back to 1200 AD when the chain of mysteries has its roots linking historical and mythological figures which is an Essential dimension in the whole storyIt’s a very short, descriptive and to the point novella, of about 200 pages. The good thing is that the author doesn’t seem intent on beating around the bush. But only at some places it feels a little rushed. The work of mythological facts and fiction is beautifully blended. That being said, the language, narrative and editing could have been much better. Also the Direct translation of certain Hindu words into English is a bit of a let down. I would want more had it not been for some loose ends the book had left.Other than that it’s a good book. Short and fast paced.I’ll definitely recommend you to read this book, especially if you are a Mythological fiction fan.-The bookshire
PadMan movie cast: Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Radhika AptePadMan movie director: R BalkiPadMan movie rating: 3.5 starPadMan is based on the real-life inspirational story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who famously invented the machine that led to the creation of a low-cost sanitary napkin and created a real-life revolution. There is absolutely no doubt that the subject and the intention of the film is applause-worthy. In India, the ‘shame’ associated with ‘that time of the month’ isstill so strong and so pervasive that anything that brings out into the open is causing to cheer, and a film starring a big star is sometimes the best way to break age-old taboos.PADMAN STORY: Lakshmikant Chauhan (Akshay Kumar) Concerned about his wife Gayatri’s (Radhika Apte) menstrual hygiene, urges her to stop using the cloth and go for sanitary napkins. Gayatri is reluctant to go for disposable pads as they are expensive. Lakshmi obsessing over a ‘ladies problem’ makes her cringe but he insists on bringing a change by addressing the taboo topic. The story revolves around his efforts to make her wife safe by using sanitary napkins, he fights all odd for women safety. Pari (Sonam Kapoor) makes quite a late entry in the narrative but adds charm to every frame she inhabits. Her character is beautifully etched, perhaps to balance Radhika’s naive and self-destructive wife. Sonam’s character not only offers marketing and financial help to Lakshmi but also shares a modern and chilled-out life mantra when the former is unsure of himself.REVIEW : Peoples mostly of India have a tendency to make simple things complex. The entire taboo around menstruation is its ripe example. Menstruation is completely a natural process of women’s body. But the shame associated with regards to even talking about it is highly shocking. A lot of people have tried their best to make people understand about this issue but the impact has been limited. Now, Akshay Kumar takes up the issue in his new film Pad Man. The film is already a winner prior to its release. After all, the way it has ignited discussions about periods is huge and is growing day by day. And thankfully, the film goes beyond expectations and arguably emerges as Akshay Kumar’s most elegant work! But still, there are people who think women or girl going through periods are untouchable. A movie has left its impact on narrow-minded people. Apart from a story which I felt was lacking somewhere still the social message was delivered rightly. Personally, I give it 3.5/5
I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind -- Jorge Luis borgesThere are people who love to watch heaps of books in their room while others love the smell of freshly printed books . And then there are those whose monthly budget includes expenditure on buying books.Because of all these sphere games , the book reviews available on various website are really very helpfulI am giving you the review of book titled THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL by Anne Frank also known as The diary of Anne Frank. It's an autobiographyAnd the subject of this book is the world war 2 Nazi occupation of the NetherlandsOkay so this book is really captivating and brings you the real feel of living in a fascist regime like Nazi Germany without any civil liberties. It captures the horrors suffered by a young girl at one of the concentration camps while waiting to be gassed in one of the gas Chambers of Auchtwitz. The book seems realistic and gives bone-chilling accounts of the murders, rapes, crazy medical experiments and human rights abused that were so common in the Nazi era.The protagonist of the story finally dies in one of the concentration camps and that is one of the strongest moments of the entire read. This book is really good and deserve a corner in your book's castle .
I began this year with a resolution to fuel my love for books all the more. I am happy that with a two year old toddler to manage-a round the clock job, I have already completed reading three books this year. It is literarily satisfying when the book you have read is the one you would want to re-read from your library.I am a lover of books of fiction. Presently, I am in a zone to explore my reading interest in different genres. The first stop in this road to exploration was a non-fiction autobiography penned down by Paul Kalanithi which was published posthumous. This is an amazing book that transcends you from a real world into a spiritual realm pondering over the questions of life and death – the answers to which the author had been trying to seek all his life.Paul Kalanithi, aged 36, was an eminent doctor and a scientist who was just months away from completing a decade long training in the exhaustive field of neurosurgery when he was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. An alumnus of Yale School and Stanford, he had dreamt of his beautiful future along with his wife Lucy Kalanithi (also a neurosurgeon resident at Stanford) which evaporated one fine day with the news of his diagnosis. This profoundly moving book encapsulates his journey from being a doctor treating terminally ill patients to being a terminally ill patient himself. A tragic role reversal. It is a book that beautifully describes the gruelling life of a doctor, the strain that it can have on the marital life of a doctor, the relationship between a doctor and a patient and the relationship between a doctor and the patients’ families.Every death leaves behind a saga of sadness but some deaths seem particularly cruel. He wanted to become a writer and a dad and he became both only when the reality of his terminal disease dawned on him. His volition to write this book was inexplicable. He penned down his autobiography with immense determination in times of great difficulty. He wore silver-lined gloves to use the trackpad of his laptop when his fingertips began to crack due to the effects of chemotherapy. He has candidly borne his heart out. The essence of this book lies in the account of all the shades of his life to his grave. If he has put some spotlight on his athletic and workaholic side; he hasn’t shied away from exposing his despondent phase, rancorous soul and details of his anguished body. Paul chose the field of medicine to explore the answers to his questions on life and death only to understand them better in his own tryst with death. He breathed his last breath in his sanctuary – the hospital where he had worked relentlessly; in a room barely yards away from where his daughter had been born eight months ago. This book has left an indelible mark on me. I found it deeply moving. I am not someone who is reduced to tears easily but have felt tears forming in my eyes through the course of this book. This book brings you very close to the soul of Paul. You live his journey through his writing. This is one of those books which I wish would never have a ‘The End’ page. I am certain I will read When Breath Becomes Air again.

Rating: 4/5Dan Brown once replied on a question asked to him about "How much similar he feels when people compare him with Robert Langdon?" He simply replied that it's not alike because Robert is much more courageous and adventuress than him. (paraphrase)Dan Brown answer to Question (mention above).I think Dan is lying about that. I think he enjoys more than anyone and at least surf into excitement created by him for Robert Langdon. From the day, Dan discovers this symbologist, this men (Tom hank) is on run to uncover world biggest discovery and conspiracy through his exceptional intelligence and photographic memory. In this book also Robert never missed any chance to surprise readers with his sheer intelligence. What is Stoicism?Stoicism is an ancient Greek philosophy developed around 300 B.C. as a modification of Cynicism which teaches the development of self-control and courage by fighting destructive emotions. It is not just a set of beliefs but a way of life with practice and including the logic mostly. Soliloquy and a kind of meditation aimed at training one's attention to remain in the present moment is the main characteristic. No wonder it’s not more popular. No wonder the Stoic sage, in Western culture, has never obtained the popularity of the Zen master. Even though Stoicism is far more accessible, not only does it lack the exotic mystique of Eastern practice; it’s also regarded as a philosophy of merely breaking even while remaining determinedly impassive. What this attitude ignores is the promise proffered by Stoicism of lasting transcendence and imperturbable tranquility. It ignores gratitude, too. This is part of the tranquility, because it’s what makes the tranquility possible. Stoicism is, as much as anything, a philosophy of gratitude – and a gratitude, moreover, rugged enough to endure anything.About the book:The title of the book ' A Stoic's Diary ' is very attention capturing and new. The book cover is very subtle and doesn't talk much about the book. The art of Stoicism is briefly yet illustratively and practically is explained in the book. The concept of mind maps and looking at a problem in different dimensions is observed as the main concept in the book. Self awareness, self help, will power and perseverance are explained in a beautiful manner. One of its kind of a book in the field of Stoicism. Kudos to the author.
Review: The Lightning Thief, in Heroes of Olympus, Rick RiordonImagine being a half happy. Being half sad. Being half of any expression or substance and not completely belonging to a clan or community which you can call your own. Imagine not being able to belong anywhere. Percy was one such character.Rick Riordon with his first novel in the series of Percy Jackson And The Olympians crafts one of the best selling fiction books and etches his name in the world of fantasy literature. In his book, the protagonist, Percy Jackson is anatomically, a half blood being. An exciting blend of human and a god.(That consternation when you imagine humans and Gods procreating!) Adapting many characters from the Greek Mythology of heroes and demons, Riordin traverses the readers through a world where the spectator wants to enter this realm of fantasy and live through it.The book starts to make a direct peak in the young readers life, by showing the Jackson’s tough time surviving in school because of his dyslexic nature. After having changed his school umpteen times, he gives up and makes his up his mind to settle and work towards his improvement in his personal and official life. He lives a normal teenage life, with his mother (who is more human than the two parents!) which comes with its own qualms. He tackles his love interest, reads top rated books and struggles in class like you would expect an average teenager to handle his life to be. Hence making it one of the best reads in fantasy novel section in a student’s and adult’s library too. The twist in his destiny comes when he experiences a tiff with one of his professors. Which is unusual since Percy is one docile creature. The tiff brews into a battle where his real identity is revealed and Percy is welcomed to the world of monsters and gods. After a heated battle and a headfull of mind numbing confusions, Percy returns to his house and is promised by his mom to be taken to his favorite Beach in Mantauk. At Mantauk start the real cat -dog race between dreams and reality. His greatest fear and unsettling notion of not being able to fit anywhere suitable for him and experiencing an unknown power over water gets to him and is teleported. Rordion makes this transition seem so swift and endearing it relates to every student’s transition to high school years, which makes it one of the best children’s books. He is taken to a place where he belongs, Camp Half Blood, and made to introduce with his new group of mates who are just as unique in their genealogy as he is. He, along with his favorite friend,Grover who now has become his satyr are introduced to a world of magic, sorcery and witchcraft. Percy finds himself in the mirror by the masters and centaurs who teach him about his life their and his identity unravels as the son of Poseidon- god of the sea. While Percy is following a strict and lax regime at the same time in his real home, meeting with other Demi-gods(Annabeth) (We ship them together!), things take toll in his personal life as his mom gets kidnapped and the world basically starts to tear down. In such a hassle to understand the reasoning behind these events, he is informed of another accusation made on him the Olympians. He becomes a target under suspicion when the king of the Gods,i.e Zeus’s lightening bolt gets stolen. Percy travels through many worlds and crosses his boundaries on the quest to decipher the thief and clear his name. He encounters many hellhounds, monsters and Oracle prophecies get to Percy just like his examinations and social gatherings used to. He learns and masters his skills and spearheads his connect with water through his half stallion, half human teacher, Chiron and uses them to protect Annabeth, Grover against trouble. While getting rid of Hades and his callous tricks to stop Percy from his pursuit to trap him and his team, he exercises his full power and shows his wrath to the God of Wrath himself. Nobody messes with the son of Sea! After passing all the hurdles and dodging arrows, Percy finally is able to restore the peace amongst the gods in Olympus and he goes onto retrieve his mother as well. A well crafted novel revolving around Greek Gods and monsters become very relatable because of the author’s simplistic and innovative expression makes it an impressive story book in english for adults as well. All turning out well at last, but this is just the latest in the series of new novels under the Heroes Of Olympus by Rick!
Poetry is a wonderful piece of work in the field of literature. Though it looks like just a word play, it carries an emotion with it be it a short poem, long poem, illustrative poem or a rhyming poem. Poems are in general recited in a particular tone. These mostly talk about the various restrictions and taboos that prevail in the society since ages.It is also to be noted that the author has broke some rules in the way of writing like even without following a particular pattern the context can be retained. The title of the book ‘ Caffeine Remembrance ‘ is interesting and gives a soothing feeling. Well the name caffeine! The book cover is a simple clip art of a girl holding a steaming coffee cup.The narration is simple, easy and new.Easy and simple language is used . The book is a nice and easy read.
There will be times where relationships between humans take evil turns with or without their consent. Blurb:Born in the quiet village of Shambala, Kalki Hari, son of Vishnuyath and Sumati, has no idea about his heritage until he is pitted against tragedies and battles.Whisked into the province of Keekatpur, which is under the fist of Lord Kali, Kalki sees the ignominy of death trumping life all around him. He learns that he has been born to cleanse the world he lives in, for which he must journey to the North and learn the ways of Lord Vishnu’s Avatar; from an immortal who wields an axe. But trapped in the midst of betrayals, political intrigue and forces that seek to decimate him, will he be able to follow his destiny before the Kaliyug begins? My Review:Kalki – The tenth avatar of Shri Maha Vishnu, who is supposed to be take his form during Kaliyuga for samhara(killing) of Kali Purusha (Evil who sits in every person) as per mahapuranas. Inspired by these words author has taken readers into the world of mythological fantasy. Opening with a war after the deed between kali and Vedantta to acquire Keekatpur. Kali churns his evil with a motive of power. Somewhere in a remote village Shambala for the parents of Vishnuyath and Sumati, Kalki Hari takes his form(birth), who is not aware that his life has a purpose of “DUSHTA SHIKSHANA AND SHISHTA RAKSHANA” (Kill evil and Restore Dharma)Kalki who lives a happy and prosperous life in his village meets Kripacharya who explains the purpose of his birth/reincarnation. As destined he eventually meets the evil king kali in the process of creating an empire.Inspire of a slow beginning, the secret of the plot lies in the map which closely relates the characters and places without any impediments. Story is written in multiple viewpoint which makes you observant to every detail and keeps you on the edge and attentive to detail. Regardless the book is 400+ pages in length. The characters(tribes) are too many to remember, infact i referred the book back and forth to not to miss flow. Book is fast paced and always taking unpredictable twist and turns, sometimes it becomes as well.Kalki sets off on a battle to finish Adharm. Will he succeed in saving the world? The book is divided to two parts: Battle of Shambala & Rise of kali (My Favorite)I see many similarities with the actual mythological characters1. Sage Shuka (Parrot Head)2. Lakshmi (Godess)3. Arjan (Arjuna)4. Thakshak5. Vasuki and so on.Special mention to the Book Cover – “The BEST BOOK COVER” till date, The characters are excellently written and well placed in the story. The pace of the book is very good. Super fine paper quality.Remarkable effort of the young author in through research, I’m sure he would have referred to various scriptures and epics before bringing this book out. If you are a lover of fantasy and mythology, this book is highly recommended. This book carries almost all the aspects and breaking the myth of complex words when we take the mythological reference. Nothing in specific, I liked everything in this book. Hope unanswered questions are addressed in Satya Yoddha Kalki – The Eye of BrahmaPS: While I post this, I see the second book is taking its form. Blurb:OVER A SPAN OF TEN YEARS, HE KILLED FORTY PREGNANT WOMEN AND THEN VANISHED WITHOUT A TRACE. AFTER FIVE YEARS OF SILENCE, HE IS BACK AGAIN, SEEKING HIS NEXT VICTIM. ONLY ONE MAN CAN STOP HIM – PROFESSOR BLACK.Maher was found unconscious in the middle of the highway and later, in the hospital, she revealed that she had escaped from a killer’s house. All the details and patterns matched the serial killer ‘Kansa,’ who had disappeared five years ago after murdering forty pregnant women. ACP Saargi Desai was assigned to the case. She appealed to her department to bring back Professor Black to help her catch the killer. The Professor, who had a haunting past that had kept him away from the world of crime and investigation for several years, was not willing to take on this case. But the ACP managed to convince him to get on board just for this one last time. Soon after agreeing to help, the Professor realized that for the first time in his life, he had met his match. As he dug deeper into the case, everything got dirtier, the stakes went higher, and nothing was what it seemed.Intrigue:‘Kansa’ is the First book of ‘The Killer trilogy’ series by Prassant Kevin. The book narration starts with a couple who are traveling back after marriage at Corbett, whose car met with an accident, which rans out on Meher who is an escaped victim from KaNsa. The story grips with “ACP Saargi Desai” who suspects the impression of serial killer Kansa, who seeks help of a alcoholic, drug addict, womanizer yet criminology expert “Professor Black” to break this killing mystery of forty pregnant women and their babies. Not to further be a spoiler, this book answers the questions:Who is kaNsa?Why is the motive of killing pregnant women and their babies?Did ACP and Professor could break this mystery ?How Meher escaped from killer clutches ?To know yourself, read this crime thriller kaNsa. My Review:To start off , the book cover is damn awesome specially the EMBOSED title, the background picture and fine quality paper with bigger font which is handy makes happy to carry. It was one of the most awaited crime thrillers, the pace of book is very good and you will not find yourself bored at any point and a perfect nail biter.Book starts with a hidden message, a second of driving negligence needs more pay off and in other way that paves a great start as clue to find the serial killer, “There is no one either good or bad, but circumstances make them so” , one of the best thing in kaNsa is the story is written and narrated in third person point of view. writing style is pretty clear, decent content and has minimal grammatical errors, can be ignored in interest of plot. The narration was so perfect, I can feel those come before my eyes when I am reading the book (may be due to midnight read)At few places due to suspect and mysterious nature, readers will literally experience chills in their spine (sweet warning), this book pulled me from love and romance to crime and suspense genre ( I stacked three already) ,title kaNsa and story progress makes the keen readers feels the mythological impression in the intrigue.Below few unanswered questions made me to go with a star less:1. Professor Black family ?2. Logical or medical reason to kill pregnant women3. The necklace4. Two pictures of of three by Meher5. Annu Kesharwani, white rabbit6. Exact male who torture and kill pregnant women7. Arjun involvement in crimeLooking forward for Book:2 in this trilogy series, overall kaNsa turns out to be a perfect crime thriller, with decent story-line,well narrated, fit to screen-played, minor grammatical errors, nail biting page turner. Even the last page has an amazing twist that paves a thought for the upcoming one. kaNsa serves as reference for “Criminology” enthusiastLink:KaNsaRegardsKiran K Adharpuram

My tick- tock waiting watch is stopped and finally I am giving my verdict on Pralay – the great deluge.I enjoyed Pralay-The great Deluge which is the second part of Harappa - the curse of the Blood River.Like the volume one, this book holds the equivalent charisma and page turner for all. Several characters role play shows instantaneously in this book, like a historical drama based move rolling.Coming to the story, in the last book we had seen that Vivasan pujari was sentenced to mrit karavas like a hell type place and on the next day numerous torture done by King Chandrashekhar army. He landed to the west of Harappa, at the place of Sura, the mighty demon king, with the extreme mental country of in search of revenge of the fatality of his beloved soul mate Sanjana and his single son. The mighty king agrees to help him, but in exchange for something, which stunned the great devta for an instant. Another fragment of the story, Manu succeeded to get away with the lifeless body of his adored mother with the support of Pundit Somdutt and swift with his horse to the East of Harappa in search of the Black Temple as directed. On the way, he met Matshya, a mystery man.Manu seeks help from this mystical man Masaya for taking revenge for the death of his parents. Did he help Manu on his mission? All mystery will solve, once you go through the book. The fast pace of the book holds you till the end & it’s a single sit read for me. Writing a historical fiction is a tough job and need too much research to make it the best. The Author has succeeded in that case. Language and narration are breath-taking from its first page of the book. Mythology was never my cup of tea, but recently I have read few amazing mythology related novels including this and I just loved it now. I was gripped and enthralled by the transformation of the pujari into evil. Saptrishi and Vidyut played and justified their role. The cover is not unique still simple and good it could have been better. The title is catchy, this book I never thought will be released soon I must pat on the back of author for his creativity and imaginations!4/5 to this book!

Blurb:All mothers dream of their sons getting married, having children in a couple of years, and living happily ever after. But my dream was shattered into pieces, not to mention that it was because of a reason I cannot talk about in public.Well, after much thought and careful consideration, I have come to the realisation that it is not all over. Varun will get married. This time I will double check. Sameer told me that staying ‘Active’ on Facebook can help. The only problem is that I don’t know how to use Facebook. But how difficult can it be? If I can operate the washing machine and the smart TV, Facebook cannot be much harder. After all, Varun’s future at stake – and my name in society.Intrigue:“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” – This is the crux of this book. This is the story of “Ilaben Patel” conservative mother who wish to get his son varun married to Aakruthi which calls off due to strange circumstances ends her into the social media vicious circle. What’s next,Could she subsist the concomitant of the social media infirmity ?What decision Ila took in addressing those aftermath?Did Varun get married ?My Review:Blurb hints the essence of social media which is supported by Splendid book cover (Facebook blue background) with a marriage procession horse and a chat text “Ila is online”, this is not the story of protagonist Ila rather its a anecdote of every mother Whose children are already trapped amidst the evils of social media. I cant stop appreciating the author who picked up this idea. Every sentence explains the agony of mother of techno-freak kids. This book is first person(Ila) narration with a dash of comical aspect. Author never missed the theme of chucklesome in the entire plot. Characters are very well illustrated.Author conveyed different angle of motherhood of extant society. Its a different approach in conveying message to the readers. Undoubtedly this is a reference manual for the present day fraternity mothers.“I saw my mother in Ilaben Patel” – I hope that consolidatesI rate “ILA IS ONLINE – Preeti Vayada” a 4.5/5 which carries powerful message, humour, motherhood emotions, family bonding and desi style. Its worth reading as this is of different genre and you will never feel bored. Believe me you will never regret reading this treatise.RegardsKiran K Adharapuram
My Rating : 3 / 5I am a not very usual reader of self-help books but I read them time to time. The last self-help book which I read was “You can win” by Shiv Khera in 2009. After that, I did not get chance to read them. Robin Sharma’s Who Will Cry, Whenyou Die might be one of few self-help books which I have selected for myself. I haven’t got chance to read Robin Sharma best-selling book “The monk who sold Ferrari” but luckily one of my roommate having this book. Confession: I haven’t bought that book but took it on loan from my friend. Might be I will steal from him because that book is simply Awesome.Robin Sharma has written many books on the subject of leadership, self-help, professional guidance, and spirituality. he himself claimed the constant student of philosophy and mentioned that he has amide interest of changing the lives of millions.Irrespective of his attractive writings, he runs the seminars, performs personal classes for high table peoples around the world through his company. This book contains many heart touching topics related to Life, discipline, and leadership. This book is mostly a call for people who don’t want to regrate in their life. I would like to discuss the personal lesson which I vow to follow after reading this book.Write a journal for yourself. It might seem like a crazy idea but I think everyone must try this once in their life. I used to write personal diaries from 2005 to end of 2009. But after being in Job and same monotonous life sucked up my passion for reading, writing and learning for few years. I took the vow to relive my habit of reading in 2014 and that year I have completed 50 books and almost reading more than 12000+ pages. In the year 2016, I also promise to my self that I will start writing and I am doing it from 2016 to till now through this blog. Now I feel that, while these two habits change my life tremendously, this book remind me about my third habit for writing journals for myself. I am a great fan of fountain pens and paper white crispy dairies. I have good fountain pen but next week I am going to buy a diary for talking to myself.Learning Tough loveThis is might be the most difficult thing to do. But I am going to learn tough love with my life. I am not allowing my laziness to fill my days with excuses and crying about things cant be change. I am going to stick with myself (Mind and Body). I remember that one of my European friends told me thatIndians are great people with lot’s of potential but they lack consistency and discipline.I agree with my European friend. Indians even after having so much energy, fail to channelize that power because we believe that breaking the rule is normal. We (as an Indian) don’t believe in the firm and steady lifestyle while we believe that things get settle down eventually. That’s where we are weak and we lack focus.I personally need to reinstate that focus in my life. It can be started with minor but permanent changes. Like I have started to wake up 6:00 AM anyhow. I vow to get into bed around 11:00PM. I have told myself that I will read minimum one hours daily. Eat almonds for my health.Having a book all the time with meThis is one of the ideas which I like most. I mean how many of us notice that we waste our time by sleeping, chatting and gossiping during the day. How many of us waste their hundred hours by standing at lines, watching TV’s shows rather than having a book which can give us million dollar ideas like this one did to me.I am not saying that everyone must have the book and read it unconsciously. But I am saying that use the time which is being wasted in your life.My Mantra is simple: Life is short, Read !!Original Blog
The starting of the book was really promising though nearing the middle, it started becoming rushed and kind of choppy, as if the author wanted to quickly take us to the 'main area of action'. The characters seemed disconnected. The main appeal for me in a book is to be able to connect with them, empathize with them, see the world they're living in from their own eyes; that seemed to be missing in this work. ACP Saargi's character was good though, I liked her no bullshit, devoted attitude towards the well being of the citizens.
I am a thriller freak. I am a person who will always pick up crime/mystery novels over contemporary fiction. I read some really good crime thrillers last year by Indian Author so when this opportunity (review copy) came to my door, I couldn’t refuse.
The plot is gripping and engrossing as it takes the readers into the world of crime, murder, and evil psychopath - Kansa. Forty pregnant women have been murdered along with their unborn children over a long span of time by Kansa. ACP Desai has been given the responsibility to solve this complex mystery.
Book Review- ChakravyuhI was greeted with some family drama and corporate stuff but was not impressed with the storyline, at the beginning, itself. Although I quite liked the way he expressed his thoughts, the excitement a good book should draw in the very beginning was missing. There are some events which one would like to read either from the first person or second person, but here the events unwrapped through third person's perspective. That part of the story didn't make much impact as it could make through first or second person's perspective.Such as the incident of Nikki and Varun! His observations on day-to-day episodes that he had inculcated to be a part of this book don't go with the flow of the story. There are some usual kinds of stuff he talked about, which we encounter in most of the stories. Thus, the content didn't sound appealing to me. The only hope I had in the journey was the Chakravyuh they are going to face. Tomy surprise, story-line ended on a good account, but what completely lacked is the participation of interesting and engaging events. It seemed like the incidents were written without much of a though, just the normal stuff anyone can think about. Especially, the conversation that takes part. Fine with the regular events, but he could have done more brainstorming while presenting the story before readers.Even if a writer is blessed with a good storyline and a soothing writing style, one thing I found lacking in most of the work I see these days is the participation of healthy events. Writers are unsure as to what to share with the readers. What could go well with the story, and what could make the journey an effortless ride, is a must thing to work on. Even broken incidents start to make sense when they are interesting. But, in this case, incidents are not fruitful enough to serve a flavourful story to the readers. In addition to that, There are some minor typos here and there like some missing letters, replacement of him with her which could be avoided. All I would like to say is, there are plenty of books in the market. If the reader spends his time, money and effort, he would expect the same from the work of the author. Jitendra definitely has a good plot with him, and he could do much more with this, all he needs to work upon is how to strategize healthy events.Rating: 2/5Reviewer: Shweta Kesari
Book Review EuropaThey say, Never Judge a book by its cover, I agree. However, the cover of the book is the first thing that forces me to know more about the book, moving towards the blurb and then the story. I think the designer could have done a lot more with the cover, as the story holds so many things to tell which can be illustrated on the cover so as to gather the crowd. I think a great story deserves a great cover. Well, in this case, something more creative would do a great good to reach to a few more audiences.'Europa' is the first book for me that took me to space. When I say this took me to space, then it literally took me. The minute yet balanced details that Hywel provided for his reader did a great job for me to be in the protagonist's shoes. I liked experiencing the time in space which I never did before. Plus that, the story that took place there didn't bring confusion for me, as I got familiar with the characters participating there pretty soon. The story is designed with great effort, could be easily noticed by the work he had put up in his book. I liked the way traced has been left in mid-way, and how it unfolded later on. There was always a drop of curiosity that pushed me further into the story. Also, Hywel has a way with words. It seemed like he expresses his thoughts with great ease, that it occurred effortlessly to the readers.I was all lost in the story but the only hiccup I had during the journey is remembering all the characters by their name and recognizing who is who. As the story is not limited to few characters, there are a good number of participants who participated in the story, and keeping note of all of them at the same time was a task, especially if you are not much familiar with the names. Most of them are English names, so it was quite difficult to keep hold of all of them. There were quick changes in the stories, from space to earth, then from present to past, at times I felt lost in a maze, created by the author himself. I was looking for more clarity so that I could be more involved in the story rather than pondering what is actually happening and how is it related.Rating: 4.3/5Reviewer: Shweta Kesari
Book Review: Kansa (Book 1 - The Killer Trilogy) by Prassant KevinSo, after a very disappointing start to February with Keepers of Kalachakra, I decided to pick this one up for a bit of light read. I was provided this book in exchange for an honest review and I would try my best to be as honest as possible. I chose this book for the sole reason that it did not promise any cheesy romance that Indian authors churn these days and the blurb provided quite an interesting read about a serial killer. Did the book live up to the expectation? Here is my take on it.Blurb (From Amazon):Over a span of ten years, he killed forty pregnant women and then vanished without a trace. After five years of silence, he is back again, seeking his next victim. Only one man can stop him - Professor Black. Maher was found unconscious in the middle of the highway and later, in the hospital, she revealed that she had escaped from a killer's house. All the details and patterns matched the serial killer 'Kansa,' who had disappeared five years ago after murdering forty pregnant women. As he dug deeper into the case, everything got dirtier, the stakes went higher, and nothing was what it seemed. My Take on the Book:Imagine you are being provided a box of Bertie Bott's every flavor bean recommended by a friend and as soon as you take the first bite, you get a bad flavor. The same case happened with me while I was reading this book. Within the first 10 pages of the book, you realize the book was more of an essay rather than a thriller that was expected. Even though the plot was quite promising and had a huge potential, the book just did not live up to the expectation. What promised to be a brilliant plot falls flat due to bad editing, concurrent plot holes and inconsistency in characters. I could count almost three characters whose names changes in the course of the plot due to either spelling errors or the author took the liberty to change the name of the characters which were a synonym to the original name. What I would have preferred was if the author had taken the approach of a more dialogue-oriented story which would have added more clarity and thrill to the novel.Coming down to the characters, except for the main protagonist, none of the characters make any impact on the story. To avoid revealing any spoilers, I would just say, none of the characters did match up to their qualifications that were boasted in the book. Also, at many places, the main character would easily get his hands on things that are generally not quite accessible at many places and that added a few weird expressions on my face. There is always light at the end of the tunnel and since I have been talking quite negative about this book, let's also talk about some positives. Yes, as I mentioned earlier, the plot does seem promising and if the author ties up some of the loopholes, the novel works quite well. Also, since it is the first of the trilogy, there is a vast room for improvement in his future novels. The main protagonist does seem to be larger than life currently, but if this can be handled in future novels, it could just add to the betterment of the character and the novels. So go for it, if you want to read something interesting but where you don't have to put too much of your thinking cap on it. Also, for a person who is a fan of Bollywood Masala movies, this won't be a letdown. My Rating: 1/2 out of 5 (Hoping against hope, that the shortcomings are taken care in future novels)Book in Three Words: Thrilling. Glitched. Exaggerated.firstname.lastname@example.org

What a book…hats off to the author… after a very very long time, I read a book which hooked me till d end and kept me wondering who the culprit was..I couldn’t guess it until the end..The story is written exceptionally well..it has that power which u need in a thriller fast paced book…as soon as I started this I knew I would love every bit of this book.. it is a book about a person who is called ‘kansa’ and who has killed more than 50 people including pregnant women, infants etc.. it all started when Maher met with a road accident and was admitted in the hospital where she revealed that she has escaped from a house where she was kept after kidnapping and also revealed that person was a killer.. ACP Saargi Desai is in charge of this case and after getting into this case she knew she needed help from someone who has vanished from this field years ago she insists commissioner and he agrees to her demands.. than professor comes into the picture he is a man who is alcoholic, aggressive, violent and has numbers of escorts girls as speed dials but he is the only person who can help them crack the case..While trying to solve the case the facts that are portrayed, the twists and turns, people dying, the overall concept was written by the author is brilliant… we can see love, betrayal, duty all in this book…cannot wait for the next book in the series now and I am damn sure it will also be the same…intriguing, thriller, ride of roller coaster all in one book…How do they get hold of Kansa is really worth reading..Overall Rating:- ★★★★★ Hema Suresh Talrejastylishangel28@yahoo.co.in
what mankind lacks is the only wish to get back into the past ans analyse our mistakes and reverse our decisions. To a younger version of myself, I would always recommend that being innocent to each and everything will make life a journey full of happiness. if I could gift something to a little me, it would be to give everything to the present without worrying what future holds. being a teenager is a blessed opportunity not everyone gets to live with. problems are going to turnaround every time you look ahead but my dear young self," Don't worry about the problems but let your problems worry about the solutions you have. There is no problem without a solution". if i could reverse thing in my life, it would be to give more to the society.
Everbody has 'kahaani' i.e stories to share in life, but their are few stories that are very heart touching, senstive, serious, reality & a matter of attention. I know we all have busy life, busy schedule & there many couples whose life depends on nanny, maids, day care for children etc. At times parents also leave their children at friends place, neighbours place or any relatives place without even having a thought tat whether my child would be safe or unsafe. The dirty mind belongs to strangers is true but we need to accept that even our own near & dear ones could have mind filled with shits & may try to harm your child, abuse your child. We teach many do's & dont's to our children but we forget to teach them a very important lesson that is of their own safety, yes safety of their body, lessons of good & bad touch. Make your child aware about gud & bad sign of touch, talk to them daily, have more conversation about school, teachers, bus drivers, auto driver etc. Parents must not forget that child abuse done by near & dear ones is not a matter to hide, ignore & make your child to suffer & get into pain or depression wherein he/ she cant tend to come out. We see & read many cases of child abuse in newspapers, televisions etc but we only get serious about it the day if any such incident takes place in our family. I request everyone do not wait for such cruel incidents to take place. Get alert & start talking & teaching your child today, coz precaution is better than cure. If any one comes across about any such incidents in schools, tutions, day care centers, NGO's one must immediately light such issues, investigate & inform the police. If we dnt act now than many such strangers will get more gutts to spoil life of several children. Your children are lucky coz they have parents like you to take stand & raise voice for them but there are many who do not have parents, they live in child ngo's, ashrams & have no one to share their pain. It's our moral duty to raise our voice & act against the child abuse. Be a friend to your child so that they can share entire routine & kahani of every day. I appreciate the director to take such a serious topic of 'child abuse' & highlighted the current rising issue for our children. There is a strong message to get serious about your child & their safety. Vidya was awesome the way she performed. It could have highlighted more such issues along with data from schools, child ngo's etc. I give 3.5 start to raise this topic in 'Kahaani -2' . It's a family movie so make sure your child also learns out of it. There is a message for all such strangers that, don't play with the life of any child or else accept death penalty or imprisonment for entire life. Even our judiciary laws must be strict & such person should straight away be sentenced to death.

Advisory note to all authors - Re-view the Reviews
Today I’m going to share the review about the 3 books that made a huge impact on my mind. I have read somewhere that we inspired by words when that feelings are in our harmony but when we find the exact words for the same, we accept it without any objections.
This novel ‘Reminiscences of a seeker-Dark face of a white world’ by Kapil Kumar Bhaskar is an immensely thrilling book. At certain times, it will surely make readers get goosebumps because of the art of the author’s writing and the feelings we get through the story.
Key To My Soul by Probal Mazumdar is a combination of love, friendship, emotions and the best part is that all these elements are portrayed in a very unique way. This book has this ability to grab readers attention as well as provide them with a different kind of experience altogether. The book is astonishing and its blurb is apt. The cover page is really cool and lovely. The characterization is at best. I totally loved the book
“I think I know you… Karunya, Do I? ” is a book title by Ajit Panicker. This book has romance, thriller along with full suspense. Many new concepts are there in the book, we read many love thrillers but the impact of this book is different and this will stay long in mind.
A few last laughs: A Novella by R. S Ramanujam is a book with all related details of marriages especially how ritualistic and traditionally this takes part in India. The book is different, have a love story with full colorful aspects which we feel in our daily life and in our real-life weddings.Everything is described very clearly and detailed which makes me read it completely. Scenes describe and give the full aroma of weddings/ marriages and rituals. Protagonists are Smitha and Anand played a very awesome role in it, as they are getting married in this story, Author narrated in the very good way and language is simply easy to understand and to feel the real essence of an Indian wedding.
Reminiscences OF A Seeker: Dark Face Of A White World” by Kapil Kumar Bhaskar is a fascinating account of author’s true experiences with the spiritual world! The book is a true story fascinates and takes the readers into the dark and unbelievable world of mystics, spirituality and dark arts. The plot opens with author’s yearning for a true spiritual master, however, the author is plunged deep into the vortex of tantric powers, dark arts and paranormal world of sadhus and aghoris. His journey through the unforeseen, extraordinary circumstances intrigue the readers and glue the readers completely. The book deals with supernatural elements and incidents which seem unbelievable. To embark on this journey with the author, the readers need to believe, have faith in spiritualism. The author has flawlessly narrated the events, fascinating and thrilling the readers immensely. At times, certain parts got dragged a bit too much, but the overall suspense helped it get overshadowed. The book deals with powerful themes like a student-teacher relationship, it’s boundaries, the occult world of supernatural and dark arts, practiced by yogis and aghoris. The author talks about how the events pulled him into a world of drama, suspense, greed, betrayal, struggle, strength and HOPE. And most importantly, the strength and inspiration to get out of the dark world towards the light. The glossary provided at the end proved really helpful in understanding the book. Language is inspiring and lucid. Characterization is done well and is a true account, characters seemed to come to life. The title hints towards the mystical and spiritual account contained in the book, the cover is simple yet powerful and attractive. It connects with author’s journey from the dark world to the illuminated white world. Blurb is well written and concise.I would like to rate it as 4.0 out of 5.0.Overall, a gripping, real story of author’s pursuit of ultimate divine!
The storyline was great, revolving around Kalki Hari, a resident of a little village on the outskirts of Keekatpur. Kalki is born the superhero, however he is ignorant of his strengths and heritage, his purpose of life!
The tales are written on wide variety of themes, some extremely strong and powerful, depicting hard – hitting, bitter truths of our society like ‘Make Up & Made Up’. The tales are capable of catching the attention of readers and leading them to read each and every short, crisp and realistic tale with enthusiasm.

And you will love it.** Demerit 😦Spelling mistake : (ingdom, *kingdom @ Page 121)Note (Unanswered):The author did put two different reasons : But he didn’t clear that which one is true. And even if the theory behind ‘DNA’ is the one, then did the serial killer checked all the DNA tests? If history repeats itself, then Viratha’s son should born again. I picked up this thriller book and glad to have read it. Fully enjoyable and worth your time; this book will not disappoint you. More than romance I love crime and thriller books and this story gave me another reason to grow fond of this genre. This story was a different one from regular thriller stories and I enjoyed reading this book. This is not a complete thriller and suspense as it has an element of love in it.Starting with the cover of the book, it is lovely and eye-catching. It is appealing to the eyes of the readers and they get instantly curious to read the book. This is one of the main reasons behind me picking up this book. The title is also perfect for the storyThe protagonist Rayirth Kapoor was leading almost a near perfect life with an amazing job in the Bank of America, with a lovely wife and daughter. All was fine till the life turned like a nightmare for him. The insomnia and the after effects of it made this one a scary read at times. When you put yourself in the place of the protagonist, you might feel chills going down your spine. Undoubtedly the plot was mysterious but the sequence of events became predictable at times probably because I have seen quite a large number of crime and thriller series. This book would have been one of the best ones in this genre that I have read if it was free of errors. The printing and grammatical errors at frequent intervals broke my flow of reading at times. Otherwise this book can be completed in a single go without losing much interest. A must read for the ones who are fond of crime and thriller genre. Others can give it a read because undoubtedly it is a good book if you ignore the errors in it.Plot- 4 / 5Narration- 3.5 / 5Cover- 4 / 5Title- 4.5 / 5Overall- 4 / 5

Aarohi is an Independent girl with big dreams. She always wanted to stand at place where she will be admired, loved and respected by many. Her family always stood by her side in every decision she made. After finishing her Masters in Business Administration, She wanted to start a business of her own. She did research for same to find what works well and essentials to start a business. She approached a bank for loan to start her business, Manager of the bank is some distinct relative of her father. Aarohi explained him her business plan and objectives and provided all necessary documents. He signed the documents to proceed further into loan process. When Aarohi was about to bid leave, he said “Have your seat.” and paused for while and continued “I know your father very well. He is great person, he worked hard to reach the position where he stand today. I admire him a lot. And I feel sad to see you running behind banks and offices to raise funds for your business. At this age you should start a family of your own. Business and all these is a difficult job especially for ladies. I know how difficult it is for you to do all this being a girl I respect you for that. You are no less than a son for your father. I wish and hope you will make your parents proud. All the best.” Aarohi bid him leave and was returning home but her mind was still in that manager’s room and her thoughts were rotating around his words. ” he is feeling Sad for me. Why? Just because I’m a girl and working at the age of marriage? And daughter helping her family is some sort of thing to be sympathized ? He is proud of me not for hard work I’m doing but for even after being a girl, I’m doing all this. Why is he showing such sympathy? Will he say same words if I be man, Son. His respect for me is out of sympathy of being a lady and doing business.” There is nothing wrong in respecting women but not just because of their gender, respect them as they are also humans, respect them for their qualities and respect them for the good work they do. “ALL THEY NEED IS YOUR RESPECT NOT SYMPATHY.”
