I love, love, love watching crime shows and love more Nordic noir and the temperamental detective, where the moods are as erratic and dark as the plot. Here is a list of a few I watched over the last year which has strong female leads. A few of them are incredibly edge of the seat with a fantastic plot and cast to execute them. And thankfully, the women at the center are not seeking or falling in love with the nearest good-looking man as a respite from (and sometimes at the cost of) their detective duties. They are middle-aged with children or are single and unapologetic about it, much flawed and human, yet brilliant and unwavering in their goal. Check them out and let me know others. This genre, I wish, would grow in multitudes1.The Fall: Gillian Anderson returns to the small screen as Stella Gibson and how brilliant is she? We know both the hunted and the hunter in this slow, moody, psychological thriller and yet, the cat and mouse game is less than predictable. The plot: when a Belfast murder remains unsolved, Stella Gibson (Anderson) is brought in to catch the killer. DSI Gibson soon fears that a murder spree is underway in Belfast and a killer is on the loose. An equally brilliant Jamie Dornan plays serial killer Paul Spector whose identity is known within a few minutes of the first episode, but hey, watch it and tell me if that makes it any less exciting.2. The Killing: Who killed Rosie Larsen (and other questions answered). The Killing is based on the Danish television series Forbrydelsen (The Crime) and stars Detective Sarah Linden and her loyal love-to-hate-you-hate-to-love-you sidekick Stephen Holder (I admit, I fell a bit in love with the damaged piece that was him by the end of it). Each episode ends with a cliffhanger that points of a possible killer who doesn’t turn out to be the one in the next (but of course!). In essence, the show follows the investigation of the murder of local teenager Rosie Larsen but is intertwined with others: the police investigation into the murder, the Larsen family's attempts to deal with their grief, and the fluctuating electoral fortunes of a political campaign that becomes embroiled in the case.3. Happy Valley: Oh, how much do I LOVE BBC’s crime productions? There are five on this list (barring The Killing) and I say without hesitation they have mastered the art (or science or what have you). Happy Valley is set in the Calder Valley and Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) plays a strong-willed police sergeant, still coming to terms with the suicide of her daughter, Becky, eight years earlier. She is now bringing up Becky's young son, Ryan, the product of rape. Catherine hears that Tommy Lee Royce, the man responsible for the brutal rape that impregnated Becky and drove her to suicide shortly after Ryan was born, is out of prison after serving eight years for drug charges. Catherine becomes obsessed with finding Royce, unaware that he is involved in the kidnapping of a young girl—Ann Gallagher. Things get worse as the kidnappers try to hide their tracks and Catherine grows neurotically persistent.4. Vera: Based on the Vera Stanhope novels by bestselling author Ann Cleeves, Vera (starring Brenda Blethyn in the titular role) is an employee of the fictional Northumberland and City Police. She is obsessive about her work and driven by her own demons. She plods along in a constantly disheveled state but has a calculating mind, and despite her irascible personality, she cares deeply about her work and comrades (-- from Wikipedia). Everything about her screams motherly and cantankerous, yet she is a formidable force to watch. And you will grow very fond of her by the end of it.5. The Honourable Woman: Not a detective series this but I couldn’t help adding it to the list. THW is a political spy thriller which is so nail-bitingly good, you have to watch now. It features Maggie Gyllenhaal in the title role (isn’t that the new, happy trend: small screen revival projects for the out-of-work or fading big screen stars?). She won a Golden Globe for it. Totally deserved, may I add? Gyllenhaal plays Anglo-Jewish businesswoman Nessa Stein who eight years earlier became the new head of the Stein Group after her brother abruptly stepped down. As she continues her work to maintain the Middle East peace process, old secrets come to the fore and bodies pile up. The stakes are raised high when Kasim, the son of Atika, Nessa's friend as well as Ephram Stein's Palestinian housekeeper, is kidnapped.6. Top of the Lake: Okay, to be honest, this is not one of my favorites. I thought the plot fell a bit flat towards the end. But the characters and the settings are quirky and unique and the whimsical style of storytelling reasons enough to watch. The drama stars Elizabeth Moss (someone I admired in Mad Men and will, till the end of life, know as Peggy Olson). She plays Detective Robin Griffin, a Sydney police officer returning to her remote New Zealand hometown of Laketop, facing the crimes surrounding the pregnancy and disappearance of a local 12-year-old girl, Tui.7. Spiral (Engrenages): Another one to add to the list is the French BBC Drama - Spiral: Engrenages - broadcast on Canal+. It stars two powerful female characters: a quirky, obsessed, but brilliant female Police Captain Laure Berthaud, and a ruthless, corrupt and beautiful female lawyer Joséphine Karlsson, both caring less about the many feathers they ruffle. These female characters are primary to the plot and rarely was their gender invoked in relation to their job role or position of power. This feminist observation apart, the 12 part series is gripping: the characters etched out in great detail (I felt for each of them in their individual disasters and triumphs), their relationships and challenges realistic, and the three subplots cleverly executed and tied together. A minor quibble was the need to look at the subtitles constantly, but I swear by end of it I could speak a little bit of French myself.8. Marcella: Err... another British television crime noir detective series. Yeah, mea culpa, but I do like them so much! They are astonishingly atmospheric—a trait I look for in everything I read or watch—the cast and setting need to grow on me. The series stars Anna Friel as Marcella Backland, a former London detective who is asked to return to work to investigate an unsolved case from eleven years ago involving an unidentified serial killer who appears to have become active again. What I love best is she is un-coplike, almost vulnerable and thus, very relatable. Series 2 started airing in Feb, 2018 and I can’t wait for it to come to Netflix.Homeland and House of Cards are the other two wildly popular series with strong female leads. Might I also dare add Game of Thrones season 6? Finally, we have women sailing to conquer worlds and play both the hero and the villain. We have come a long way.But you know what else I wish for now? That the victims of these murders are not women! YES, let’s write a book or make a TV series where the victims of the serial killer is not a WOMAN? Yes, yes, please? I know, we make a pretty picture no matter what, but let’s not have any more cowering and whimpering. Just for a change.About the writer: Smita Bhattacharya is an author based out of Mumbai. She has a particular soft spot for psychological thriller novels and TV series. Her latest novel, Dead to Them, was released in January 2018 and is currently garnering rave reviews. Her other two books, He Knew a Firefly and Vengeful, have ranked among the top 100 Asian Literature & Fiction on Amazon. Several of her short stories have appeared in Indian and international publications over the years, making her a very happy person indeed. More about her at: www.smitabhattacharya.com
HOUSE HUSBAND----A MATTER OF PRIDE ….OR A NEW CHALLENGEAncient sayings and proverbs glorified the marriage and relationships to great extents. Like, a girl must stay in home and cook, look after the needs of family, while a guy’s work was to earn money and support the family financially. As days passed by, both of them started working and sharing all their works to lead a luxurious and comfortable lifestyle. They needed to save amount for their future too.And now, role reversal is at its peaks. Heavy works, night shifts, tight deadlines, both men and women are capable of everything today. A new trend in recent years is the concept of 'house husband'.. Imagine, a guy staying at home, cooking, cleaning, washing dishes and managing the entire home. How cool it is!! But it isn't as cool as you imagine. Reality is far different from the beautiful imagination one dreams of. A lot of drawbacks come along with this innovative new trend. Yes, even while seeking suggestions for this write up, a few people asked me the same question " Why can't this happen? Many years back, girls stayed at home, taking care of everything. Now why can't guys do the same? Let guys too enjoy the comfort of home for a few years." The point here is not just about the comfort of home or role reversal. It's about sharing responsibilities and staying together.Okay, let's take a stand between both, a house wife and a house husband. A house wife wakes up early, cooks for the family, helps her family members in getting ready and completes any petty works if any. Rest of the day, till her family members return home, she is free. She doesn't have any compulsory task to complete. In the evening, her routine works begin again. What does she do in the meanwhile? In specific, how does she spend the time from 10- 3? A lot of options are there. Gardening, reading, craft works, even watching television serial is considered a decent hobby nowadays. She could learn new stuffs, even new recipes to cook or an idea of getting a new friend even wouldn’t be that bad. Anyhow she would make the best use of her time. Now imagine a house husband. He does the same work in the mornings and evenings as a house wife does. But the mean time?? How could he make the best use of this time? Obviously, many activities are there. But remember the basic psychological fact, a guy cannot stay in the same place for hours together. Even in our homes we have examples. A girl child would stay at home playing with dolls for the whole day. But a boy can't stay at home even for two or three hours completely.( we all would have experienced this even by our own self.)See, we can't blame guys here. Basically, they are gifted with strong physical and mental strength than women. That is why, they are unable to put all their energy within their home. They are basically designed so. And coming to the point, a house husband goes around the city for the whole day, roaming here and there. What would happen eventually? His wife would be struggling in office and he would be casually going here and there. Would it look nice??Another major constraint is money. The earning man gives his salary to his wife and she allocates money for all expenses. That is the practice in most of the homes today. A man may earn in lakhs, but the proper planning and investment can only be done by a girl. So a housewife can easily allocate money for her expenses. But in the case of house husband, a man's ego and self respect would get hurt to great extents if he asks his wife for money. It's not an issue. Not just guys, every human being, after a certain age, wants to be independent or wants the money to be in their hands. Asking money for getting a newspaper or even a cool drink would be awkward. Coming to personal thoughts, a guy can come home late night after work, he can go anywhere, no need of suspecting him (90% cases, women don't suspect or shout). But a guy staying at home while his wife doing night shift, is not that applicable. Seeds of suspicion and doubt would automatically come after a certain period of time. Last and the least bothersome issue is our society. Our society would blame everything. "A girl or guy, whomever it may be, they shouldn't stay at home." A statement given by so called 'social people'. And that can be completely ignored. Coming to the other perspectives, it will be completely new to try out such stuffs. And experimenting that will give an enriching experience too. Remember the days when women spoke of bringing a new change and started working. Like the same, this could turn out to be a beautiful bond. But a great risk in this relationship is, ' a guy must never opt to be a house husband just because he didn't clear his arrears or that he can't get a job. This is not a new try. This is just another way of escaping from one's duties and responsibilities’. And believe it, this would make his life terrible. Because deep in his mind, he would get fixed like he is capable of nothing but household chores. And if he ever feels difficulty in his work as a house husband, then his great imagination has higher chances of becoming a night mare.Mutual understanding, care and concern, trust, promises hold a greater place in this relationship. Suspicion, doubt, inferiority complex are common for both genders. It's all about how a person tackles it and how he responds to people. If guys of their age earn in lakhs and have a car or home of their own, then house husbands should be in a position to give them apt replies instead of making their own selves feel inferior. And he should let go off his ego before asking for money or anything. Always keep in mind, you have become a house husband out of your own wish, not anyone else’s.Remember, people would talk with you, behind you and about you, either in a good or bad way. You cannot paste their mouths, instead you can change your own perspective. And, a point should be always taken into consideration. Men are blessed with stronger abilities only to support women, be it a house husband or a working person. Being a house husband should not push him to heights of laziness and a wonderful zone of comfort.Life is all about challenges. A person with a proper vision and goal towards future, one who is willing to set new trends, someone who is adaptable to changes and more importantly a man who is willing to take up job again, if something goes wrong, can experiment with this bond. New stuffs generally take time. Once you have taken a decision, just go with it. but always remember, becoming a house husband should be a matter of choice and consent, not of escapism and laziness.....#smblogcontest
Blurb:OVER A SPAN OF TEN YEARS, HE KILLED FORTY PREGNANT WOMEN AND THEN VANISHED WITHOUT A TRACE. AFTER FIVE YEARS OF SILENCE, HE IS BACK AGAIN, SEEKING HIS NEXT VICTIM. ONLY ONE MAN CAN STOP HIM – PROFESSOR BLACK.Maher was found unconscious in the middle of the highway and later, in the hospital, she revealed that she had escaped from a killer’s house. All the details and patterns matched the serial killer ‘Kansa,’ who had disappeared five years ago after murdering forty pregnant women. ACP Saargi Desai was assigned to the case. She appealed to her department to bring back Professor Black to help her catch the killer. The Professor, who had a haunting past that had kept him away from the world of crime and investigation for several years, was not willing to take on this case. But the ACP managed to convince him to get on board just for this one last time. Soon after agreeing to help, the Professor realized that for the first time in his life, he had met his match. As he dug deeper into the case, everything got dirtier, the stakes went higher, and nothing was what it seemed.Intrigue:‘Kansa’ is the First book of ‘The Killer trilogy’ series by Prassant Kevin. The book narration starts with a couple who are traveling back after marriage at Corbett, whose car met with an accident, which rans out on Meher who is an escaped victim from KaNsa. The story grips with “ACP Saargi Desai” who suspects the impression of serial killer Kansa, who seeks help of a alcoholic, drug addict, womanizer yet criminology expert “Professor Black” to break this killing mystery of forty pregnant women and their babies. Not to further be a spoiler, this book answers the questions:Who is kaNsa?Why is the motive of killing pregnant women and their babies?Did ACP and Professor could break this mystery ?How Meher escaped from killer clutches ?To know yourself, read this crime thriller kaNsa. My Review:To start off , the book cover is damn awesome specially the EMBOSED title, the background picture and fine quality paper with bigger font which is handy makes happy to carry. It was one of the most awaited crime thrillers, the pace of book is very good and you will not find yourself bored at any point and a perfect nail biter.Book starts with a hidden message, a second of driving negligence needs more pay off and in other way that paves a great start as clue to find the serial killer, “There is no one either good or bad, but circumstances make them so” , one of the best thing in kaNsa is the story is written and narrated in third person point of view. writing style is pretty clear, decent content and has minimal grammatical errors, can be ignored in interest of plot. The narration was so perfect, I can feel those come before my eyes when I am reading the book (may be due to midnight read)At few places due to suspect and mysterious nature, readers will literally experience chills in their spine (sweet warning), this book pulled me from love and romance to crime and suspense genre ( I stacked three already) ,title kaNsa and story progress makes the keen readers feels the mythological impression in the intrigue.Below few unanswered questions made me to go with a star less:1. Professor Black family ?2. Logical or medical reason to kill pregnant women3. The necklace4. Two pictures of of three by Meher5. Annu Kesharwani, white rabbit6. Exact male who torture and kill pregnant women7. Arjun involvement in crimeLooking forward for Book:2 in this trilogy series, overall kaNsa turns out to be a perfect crime thriller, with decent story-line,well narrated, fit to screen-played, minor grammatical errors, nail biting page turner. Even the last page has an amazing twist that paves a thought for the upcoming one. kaNsa serves as reference for “Criminology” enthusiastLink:KaNsaRegardsKiran K Adharpuram
I am a thriller freak. I am a person who will always pick up crime/mystery novels over contemporary fiction. I read some really good crime thrillers last year by Indian Author so when this opportunity (review copy) came to my door, I couldn’t refuse.
Book Review: Kansa (Book 1 - The Killer Trilogy) by Prassant KevinSo, after a very disappointing start to February with Keepers of Kalachakra, I decided to pick this one up for a bit of light read. I was provided this book in exchange for an honest review and I would try my best to be as honest as possible. I chose this book for the sole reason that it did not promise any cheesy romance that Indian authors churn these days and the blurb provided quite an interesting read about a serial killer. Did the book live up to the expectation? Here is my take on it.Blurb (From Amazon):Over a span of ten years, he killed forty pregnant women and then vanished without a trace. After five years of silence, he is back again, seeking his next victim. Only one man can stop him - Professor Black. Maher was found unconscious in the middle of the highway and later, in the hospital, she revealed that she had escaped from a killer's house. All the details and patterns matched the serial killer 'Kansa,' who had disappeared five years ago after murdering forty pregnant women. As he dug deeper into the case, everything got dirtier, the stakes went higher, and nothing was what it seemed. My Take on the Book:Imagine you are being provided a box of Bertie Bott's every flavor bean recommended by a friend and as soon as you take the first bite, you get a bad flavor. The same case happened with me while I was reading this book. Within the first 10 pages of the book, you realize the book was more of an essay rather than a thriller that was expected. Even though the plot was quite promising and had a huge potential, the book just did not live up to the expectation. What promised to be a brilliant plot falls flat due to bad editing, concurrent plot holes and inconsistency in characters. I could count almost three characters whose names changes in the course of the plot due to either spelling errors or the author took the liberty to change the name of the characters which were a synonym to the original name. What I would have preferred was if the author had taken the approach of a more dialogue-oriented story which would have added more clarity and thrill to the novel.Coming down to the characters, except for the main protagonist, none of the characters make any impact on the story. To avoid revealing any spoilers, I would just say, none of the characters did match up to their qualifications that were boasted in the book. Also, at many places, the main character would easily get his hands on things that are generally not quite accessible at many places and that added a few weird expressions on my face. There is always light at the end of the tunnel and since I have been talking quite negative about this book, let's also talk about some positives. Yes, as I mentioned earlier, the plot does seem promising and if the author ties up some of the loopholes, the novel works quite well. Also, since it is the first of the trilogy, there is a vast room for improvement in his future novels. The main protagonist does seem to be larger than life currently, but if this can be handled in future novels, it could just add to the betterment of the character and the novels. So go for it, if you want to read something interesting but where you don't have to put too much of your thinking cap on it. Also, for a person who is a fan of Bollywood Masala movies, this won't be a letdown. My Rating: 1/2 out of 5 (Hoping against hope, that the shortcomings are taken care in future novels)Book in Three Words: Thrilling. Glitched. Exaggerated.email@example.com

What a book…hats off to the author… after a very very long time, I read a book which hooked me till d end and kept me wondering who the culprit was..I couldn’t guess it until the end..The story is written exceptionally well..it has that power which u need in a thriller fast paced book…as soon as I started this I knew I would love every bit of this book.. it is a book about a person who is called ‘kansa’ and who has killed more than 50 people including pregnant women, infants etc.. it all started when Maher met with a road accident and was admitted in the hospital where she revealed that she has escaped from a house where she was kept after kidnapping and also revealed that person was a killer.. ACP Saargi Desai is in charge of this case and after getting into this case she knew she needed help from someone who has vanished from this field years ago she insists commissioner and he agrees to her demands.. than professor comes into the picture he is a man who is alcoholic, aggressive, violent and has numbers of escorts girls as speed dials but he is the only person who can help them crack the case..While trying to solve the case the facts that are portrayed, the twists and turns, people dying, the overall concept was written by the author is brilliant… we can see love, betrayal, duty all in this book…cannot wait for the next book in the series now and I am damn sure it will also be the same…intriguing, thriller, ride of roller coaster all in one book…How do they get hold of Kansa is really worth reading..Overall Rating:- ★★★★★ Hema Suresh Talrejastylishangel28@yahoo.co.in

Q:Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life. • I have always been the travel kid. So, my education has always been for like three or four years at some place and other three or four years at other places. I spent my nursery education till 4th grade in my village in U.P. after that I started my 5th grade from Kanpur and studied there till 7th grade and then I moved to Ballia and studied there from 8th grade to 10th. then again, I moved here in Odisha and currently doing my (10+2) in Bhubaneswar. This is my second year. Examination have been started, today was my first exam. Hope everything goes well. Q: How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write? * I don't know exactly what inspired me to start writing. At that time when I was in Kanpur, I was in 7th grade, a kid’s magazine named "KIDZ HERALD" used to get published. In that magazine a column would contain the written works of kids when I saw that column, I too wanted to publish but I didn't have any written poem or anything of that type. So I, at that time developed a feeling to write. I would copy along the lines of poems given in my books and try to write a poem or write whatever I used to watch on the television, though I never published one in any magazine. I just used to write from then on. It was in the previous year that is 2018 when I started writing on your site.Q: What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? • Scary thoughts, they sometimes make me question that if the course of writing I am considering is good for me or not. Due to this most my stories are still left incomplete. whenever I start writing anything, I get thoughts like will people love my writing? will they like it? would people hate me? I write worst. I can’t write well and many other negative thoughts like this which sometimes makes me stop writing.Q: What is your view about the present-day literary work? * I think the present literary work covers a wide aspects within it because today we can write about politics or religions and put our opinions freely without having to suffer through any punishment. years ago writing was censured by religion branches like church or the king and if books were found against them, they used to punish the writer or sent them to exile. but now we are free to write our opinions in our book. the book " Accidental Prime Minister” is a great example.Q: Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? • Yes I do think that emergence of social media has given us writers a new opportunity as before, we used to write at home and we only had options to publish our work in Magazines or go to publisher which needed a lot of paperwork. But now it's different, we with the help of free writing social sites, we can easily just open the app and write whatever we want and also be secured of our literary work to be not stolen by anyone. Also we can get a huge number of readers and their reviews. Q: Please tell us something about your literary work. * I mostly write poems in free style cause you know I am very week at following rules. Right now I am also trying my hands out at Haiku and flash fiction. Also I am interested in science fiction and was currently writing one, but due to my exams I have taken a total break from literature as a whole.Q: What was your first literary work and how was it published? • As I have already told before I first started writing what I saw on Television. Like If I used to watch a movie, I used to write it in paper whatever I saw. So, my first literary work was, I wrote a T. V. serial which I daily used to watch, and I never published it cause you know copyrights. If you are Talking about first literary work to get published, the it is one of my poem in your Anthology book. Q: How many ways literature can contribute to society in future?• Literature can have a very powerful impact on people reading it in many ways. It can help fight social issues and bring social Change worldwide not only in future but also in present too. we all know that " A pen is mightier than sword".Q: Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world?• I want too see myself in the category of Best seller writers. Hope God listens to my wish and I keep doing my hard work.Q: What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets?• According to me the ways to build community for poets are:- 1. Keeping it local:-Some of the communities which are tightly knit is not just because they share each other's opinion or respect each other ideas or the forms of writing but also because they know each other by face. I think it will be better to form local poet group from a region where they meet each once in a week. 2. This is very important point mostly I have seen communities focuses on a particular prose or a form of writing. In such a big community you can't expect everyone to write in same form or style. There are many forms like flash fiction, Haiku ,Tanka etc....Q: What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers? • on the basis of of my writing experience. I have always got the fears like will people read my work? Will people like my work? Or thoughts like I write worst (as I already mentioned above) haunts me and makes me hopeless and search for inspiration here and there. So in this regard I want to say look for inspiration inside you. The best inspiration is the self-inspiration. Don’t let these fears hinder your path of writing and if they ever come and haunt just tell them "I know I write best and of course people will read and love my writings." Shoo away your fears, scold them and get to writing.Q: How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror? • Story mirror has been a great platform to support me in this writing job. Before joining this site I used to write once in week and sometimes weeks ended and I don't used to write don't get time to write but then I joined story mirror's 52 weeks writing challenge, which inspired me to write every weekday and it made me into habit of writing but as of now I am mostly inactive because of my exams, once they finish I will be back. And I will appreciate and also look for competitions like 30 days writing challenge on this platform which will inspire writers like me to get into the habit of writing daily.Q: Would you like to say something about StoryMirror? • All and all I had a great experience of writing here on this platform. I really appreciate the covers you edit and design and all the hard work you do to keep supporting writers like us to write more and more. When you're beginning on your CCNA considers, learning the distinctive switch modes is critical to passing your Introduction and ICND tests. In any case, keeping those modes straight can be extremely troublesome. (In any event it was for me!) How about we investigate the different switch modes you'll have to think going to pass your CCNA, and use IOS Help to delineate the various employments of every mode. The primary mode you'll see on a switch (if the individual before you logged off as they ought to have) is client executive mode. This is likewise the default mode a client is set into when utilizing Telnet to associate with a switch. The brief will resemble this:R1>You can't compose or add to a design in this mode, however you can run many show directions. This is a decent mode to have clients in who need to see the setup, yet shouldn't be permitted to transform it.To get to the following level, type empower at the client executive brief:R1>enableR1#Notice that the brief changed. This mode has two names, the official one being favored executive mode. It's all the more normally alluded to as empower mode, since "empower" is the thing that you type to get into this mode. This mode gives you more choices for show and different directions, however regardless you can't arrange anything. To arrange worldwide directions, use "design terminal", or "conf t", to enter worldwide setup mode.R1#conf tEnter design directions, one for each line. End with CNTL/Z.R1(config)#The brief has changed once more, and now worldwide design directions, for example, hostname and no ip space query can be entered. From here, you have a great deal of alternatives, however we'll take a gander at three you have to know for your CCNA tests. To apply design directions to an interface, enter interface arrangement mode, as appeared here:R1(config)#interface serial0R1(config-if)#You should be in worldwide config mode to get into interface config mode you can't go from empower mode directly to interface setup mode.R1#interface serial0^% Invalid information recognized at '^' marker.Interface design mode enables you to apply an IP address to the interface, just as numerous different directions identified with casing hand-off, ISDN, and dynamic steering conventions. For the CCNA, you have to think around two other setup modes. To arrange reassure directions, (for example, secret word assurance), enter line design mode as appeared here:R1#conf tEnter design directions, one for each line. End with CNTL/Z.R1(config)#line support 0R1(config-line)#password ciscoR1(config-line)#loginThe brief "(config-line)" demonstrates that you're in line design mode. Your comfort line isn't the main line you'll arrange for the CCNA, however your vty lines are utilized for approaching telnet associations and must be designed along these lines.R1#conf tEnter design directions, one for every line. End with CNTL/Z.R1(config)#line support 0R1(config-line)#password ciscoR1(config-line)#loginR1(config-line)#line vty 0 4R1(config-line)#password ciscoR1(config-line)#loginNotice that you don't need to leave one interface mode to go to another. Suppose that you've designed your vty lines and now need to put an IP address on your Ethernet interface. You don't need to go out with ctrl-z and afterward start again you can go directly to interface config mode from line config mode. Simply ensure you see the brief change!R1(config-line)#line vty 0 4R1(config-line)#password ciscoR1(config-line)#loginR1(config-line)#interface ethernet0R1(config-if)#ip address 188.8.131.52 255.255.255.0When you're getting ready for CCNA test achievement, there's a great deal to ingest. Simply take it each piece in turn, get a few hands-on involvement to go with your hypothesis, and before you realize it you're moving around in the diverse Cisco switch design modes without the slightest hesitation. In the initial segment of this free CCNP/BSCI instructional exercise, we saw how letting one straightforward word well enough alone for our course redistribution setup - "subnets" - brought about a deficient steering table when redistributing courses from Tear to OSPF. (In the event that you missed that piece of the instructional exercise, visit my site's "Free Instructional exercises" area.) Today, we'll take a gander at redistributing OSPF courses into Tear and recognize another basic redistribution blunder. We are utilizing a three-switch arrange. R5 is running Tear, R1 is filling in as a center somewhere in the range of R5 and R3 and is running Tear and OSPF, and R3 is running OSPF.To start this lab, we'll add three loopbacks to R3 and publicize them to R1 by means of OSPF.R3(config)#int loopback33R3(config-if)#ip address 184.108.40.206 255.255.255.255R3(config-if)#int loopback34R3(config-if)#ip address 220.127.116.11 255.255.255.255R3(config-if)#int loopback35R3(config-if)#ip address 18.104.22.168 255.255.255.255R3(config-if)#router ospf 1R3(config-router)#network 22.214.171.124 0.0.0.0 territory 1R3(config-router)#network 126.96.36.199 0.0.0.0 territory 1R3(config-router)#network 188.8.131.52 0.0.0.0 territory 1R1 sees every one of the three of these courses in its directing table.R1#show ip course ospf184.108.40.206/32 is subnetted, 1 subnetsO IA 220.127.116.11 [110/65] by means of 18.104.22.168, 00:00:55, Serial035.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnetsO IA 22.214.171.124 [110/65] by means of 126.96.36.199, 00:00:45, Serial033.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnetsO IA 188.8.131.52 [110/65] by means of 184.108.40.206, 00:00:55, Serial0We'll presently redistribute these courses into Tear on R1. Keep in mind the "subnets" alternative we discussed in the initial segment of this instructional exercise? There is no such alternative when redistributing OSPF courses into Tear, as IOS Help indicates us.R1(config)#router tearR1(config-router)#redistribute ospf 1 ?coordinate Redistribution of OSPF coursesmetric Measurement for redistributed coursescourse guide Course guide referencevrf VPN Steering/Sending CaseR1(config-router)#redistribute ospf 1The courses have been redistributed into Tear with the redistribute ospf 1 direction. (The "1" is the OSPF procedure number.) How about we take a gander at R5 and see the outcomes.R5#show ip course tearR5#The courses aren't there, yet we didn't get an admonition from the switch that we expected to do whatever else. What is the issue? The issue is that Tear requires a seed metric to be determined when redistributing courses into that convention. A seed metric is a "starter metric" that gives the Tear procedure a metric it can work with. The OSPF metric of expense is vast to Tear, since Tear's sole measurement is jump check. We must give Tear a metric it comprehends when redistributing courses into that convention, so we should return to R1 and do as such.R1(config)#router tearR1(config-router)#no redistribute ospf 1R1(config-router)#redistribute ospf 1 metric 2R5 now observes the courses. Note that the measurement contained in the sections is the seed metric.R5#show ip course tear220.127.116.11/32 is subnetted, 1 subnetsR 18.104.22.168 [120/2] through 22.214.171.124, 00:00:24, Ethernet035.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnetsR 126.96.36.199 [120/2] through 188.8.131.52, 00:00:24, Ethernet033.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnetsR 184.108.40.206 [120/2] through 220.127.116.11, 00:00:24, Ethernet0In the event that you read the past instructional exercise, you may have seen that we didn't determine a seed metric for OSPF. OSPF doesn't require a seed metric to be set during redistribution. You likewise saw that the switch told us that there may be an issue when we left the "subnets" alternative out of RIP>OSPF redistribution, however the switch didn't disclose to us anything about a seed metric when we performed OSPF>RIP redistribution. This is a detail you should know by heart so as to make your course redistribution fruitful!500-801.pdf test pdf answers650-295 exam reviewMB-220 online vceFree real dumps 2019Pass4sure dumps freePass4sure exam killer300-465 Designing the Cisco Cloud premium dumpscertification 486 free pdfCCP study tools1z0-034 Upgrade Oracle9i/10g OCA to Oracle Database 11g OCP questions pdfDetailed Scheduling and Planning free practice exam2019 real dumps70-696.pdf cbtC9020-667.pdf test questions77-730 boot camp9A0-059 prep4sureDNDNS-200 exam prep00M-642 ICS Social Software Sales Mastery Test v2 course contentCAT-480 actual exam pdf300-115 Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks vce exam simulator 2019650-256 online testASQ-CBA mock testDCAN-100 Networking Associate free testJN0-660 exam reviewOracle EBS R12.1 Receivables Essentials free practice exam
In reading for your CCNA test and planning to procure this significant confirmation, you might be enticed to invest little energy concentrating static steering and head directly for the all the more energizing dynamic directing conventions like Tear, EIGRP, and OSPF. This is a justifiable misstep, yet at the same time a mix-up. Static directing isn't entangled, however it's a significant subject on the CCNA test and an important aptitude for genuine world systems administration. To make static courses on a Cisco switch, you utilize the ip course direction pursued by the goal organize, arrange cover, and either the following bounce IP address or the nearby leave interface. Keep that last part at the top of the priority list - you're either arranging the IP address of the downstream switch, or the interface on the neighborhood switch that will fill in as the leave interface.Suppose your nearby switch has a serial0 interface with an IP address of 18.104.22.168/30, and the downstream switch that will be the following bounce will get bundles on its serial1 interface with an IP address of 22.214.171.124/30. The static course will be for bundles bound for the 126.96.36.199 system. Both of the accompanying ip course articulations would be right.R1(config)#ip course 188.8.131.52 255.255.255.0 184.108.40.206 (next-jump IP address)Or on the other handR1(config)#ip course 220.127.116.11 255.255.255.0 serial0 ( nearby leave interface)You can likewise compose a static course that matches just a single goal. This is a host course, and has 255.255.255.255 for a veil. On the off chance that the above static courses should just be utilized to send parcels to 18.104.22.168., the accompanying directions would carry out the responsibility.R1(config)#ip course 22.214.171.124 255.255.255.255 126.96.36.199 (next-jump IP address)Or on the other handR1(config)#ip course 188.8.131.52 255.255.255.255 serial0 ( nearby leave interface)At long last, a default static course fills in as a passage after all other options have run out. In the event that there are no counterparts for a goal in the steering table, the default course will be utilized. Default courses utilize all zeroes for both the goal and cover, and again a next-jump IP address or neighborhood leave interface can be utilized.R1(config)#ip course 0.0.0.0 184.108.40.206 (next-bounce IP address)DES-6131 free pdfHP0-Y50.pdf new dumpsC5050-300 prepawayHPE6-A07 test questionsCSCP exam reviewC9520-420 new dumps98-365 dumpsMOS-W2E exam helpLOT-953 Lotus Notes Domino 8.5 Application Development Intermediate Skills exam pass assurance040-444 free test online2019 cheat sheets7497X.pdf exam review1Y0-370.pdf latest dumps1z0-144 full version fileE20-670 test questions and answers310-012 ACI Diploma Exam free test onlineEC0-350 sample testCheck Point Certified Security Master free pdfP2090-038 IBM InfoSphere BigInsights Technical Mastery Test v2 cert killerVCA410-DT cert killer9A0-388 actual exam pdf300-209.pdf sample test650-378 online vcePR000007.pdf actualtest pdfC4040-123 practice test downloadOr then againR1(config)#ip course 0.0.0.0 serial0 ( neighborhood leave interface)IP course explanations appear to be basic enough, however the insights about the following jump IP address, the nearby leave interface, default static courses, and the language structure of the order are crucial for progress on CCNA test day and in reality.
To breeze through the CCNA test, you must ace many administrations and steering conventions that might be different to you. Between Tear, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, and exchanging, there are several subtleties you must ingest! It's anything but difficult to invest all your energy in those subjects and not give legitimate consideration to "simpler" advances, and after that out of the blue on test day you can't exactly recall the subtleties of those specific administrations. One arrangement you must be more than acquainted with is straightforwardly associating sequential interfaces on Cisco switches. This is likewise an important aptitude to have in your home lab, since it enables you to add sections to your system arrangement.A Cisco sequential interface is working as a DTE as a matter of course. The issue is that when you take a link and associate two switches legitimately by their sequential interfaces (with a DTE/DCE link, that is!), they're both hanging tight for the other to send them a clock rate. One of the interfaces must go about as the DCE and that interface must send the clock rate.On the off chance that you can see the DTE/DCE link, you can guess by looking which switch has the DCE interface associated with it - the letters "DTE" or "DCE" will either be formed into the connector itself, or if it's a more seasoned link there ought to be a little bit of tape on the link that reveals to you what the interface type is. Be that as it may, imagine a scenario where you have no entrance to the link, or there are different links surrounding it and you can't perceive what type it is.Run the direction "show controller sequential x", with x speaking to the interface number the link's associated with. There will be a considerable amount of yield from this order, yet the data you need is directly at the top:R1#show controller sequential 1HD unit 1, idb = 0x1DBFEC, driver structure at 0x1E35D0cushion size 1524 HD unit 1, V.35 DTE linkI left off the 16 or so columns of data that comes after this, yet this is the data we need at the present time. In the event that R1 has the DTE link end, the other switch ought to have the DCE end:R3#show controller sequential 1HD unit 1, idb = 0x1C44E8, driver structure at 0x1CBAC8cradle size 1524 HD unit 1, V.35 DCE linkWe know now that R3 needs to supply a clock rate to R1. There's a trace of an issue in simply that smidgen of order yield - do you see what it is? How about we run show interface serial1 to get more data.R3#show int s1Serial1 is up, line convention is downThe line convention is down in light of the fact that there is no clockrate being provided by R3. In the event that there has been, we would have seen that in the yield of show controllers sequential 1.This is straightforward enough to fix, however! We'll utilize the direction clockrate 56000 on R3's serial1 interface, and the line convention will before long come up.R3(config)#int s1R3(config-if)#clockrate 560001w2d: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line convention on Interface Serial1, switched state to upThis is a straightforward idea, however there are a couple of subtleties you should remember! For a home lab arrangement, you'll need a DTE/DCE link to make this work. On the off chance that you can't see the link connectors, run show controllers sequential x to check whether the switch has the DTE or DCE end of the link appended. On the interface with the DCE joined, utilize the clockrate order to bring the line convention up. It's simply that straightforward!Top test questionsP2090-076 classroom trainingPass4sure exam prep1Z0-161 exam prepcertification s 4 hana finance practice test4A0-108 cert pdfHPE2-CP07 practice examPass4sure fullversion pdf9A0-079 Adobe(R) RoboHelp(R) 7 ACE study guideEX0-102 real q&a250-440.pdf exam prepSD0-101.pdf sample testC1000-004 test prepCFI-I Certified Fire Inspector I real questions70-673 dumpsSY0-501 CompTIA Server+ Seo Audit braindumps1z0-052 Oracle Database 11g: Administration I Jsfiddle Practice TestTawk test pdf answers1z0-054 Oracle Database 11g: Performance Tuning bootcampESDA105 vce engine1Z0-950.pdf recent dump file4A0-107 exam pass assuranceMCE-001 pass guaranteedNSE4_FGT-6-0 certkillerC2040-406 IBM Notes and Domino 9.0 Social Edition System Administration A premium dumps
CCNA test achievement depends generally on seeing the subtleties, and this is particularly valid for designs including straightforwardly associated sequential interfaces. What's more, obviously, it's insufficient to see these subtleties - you must recognize what to do about them!A Cisco switch is a DTE as a matter of course, however legitimately associating two DTEs with a DCE/DTE link isn't sufficient. In the accompanying model, R1 and R3 are legitimately associated at their Serial1 interfaces. The line goes up quickly in the wake of being opened, yet the line convention goes down after around 30 seconds.R3(config-if)#int s1R3(config-if)#ip address 220.127.116.11 255.255.255.0R3(config-if)#no shutdown2d18h: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Serial1, switched state to up2d18h: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line convention on Interface Serial1, switched state to upR3(config-if)#2d18h: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line convention on Interface Serial1, changed state to downThe issue is that one of the switches needs to go about as the DCE all together for the line convention to come up and keep awake. In the event that this were your CCNA/CCNP home lab, you could simply go over and take a gander at the DTE/DCE link to see which switch had the DCE end of the link appended. In this model, however, we don't have physical access to the switches. How might we tell which switch has the DCE end of the link connected?R3#show controller sequential 1HD unit 1, idb = 0x1C44E8, driver structure at 0x1CBAC8support size 1524 HD unit 1, V.35 DCE linkThe show controller direction gives us this data. (There's much more yield that this with this direction, however it's immaterial for our motivations.) The switch with the DCE end of the link needs to supply a clock rate to the DTE, and we'll do only that with the interface-level clockrate order.C2070-982 IBM Case Foundation V5.2, Specialist mock examC9530-410 IBM MQ V8.0, System Administration Jsfiddle new dumps70-561-CSharp study guideA00-250 vce exam collectionP2090-086 IBM MDM PIM Technical Sales Mastery Test v1 exam notesCAT-181 brain dumpsPDM_2002001060 pass guaranteedEADE104 free practice examCLP C Certified Professional Programmer Certification exam cram1Z0-966.pdf free practice testC9560-574 IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager V6.1 Implementation exam prepPass4sure classroom trainingVCS-274.pdf prepawayCOBIT 5 practice testAS000022 practice questionsACP-300 test questions free156-215-80 sample testRCDD Registered Communications Distribution Designe latest dumps1Z0-961 exam prepMB-300 exam notescertification vs accreditation exam collectionNew braindumps70-549-CSharp PRO Design & Develop Enterprise Appl by Using MS.NET Frmwk certkiller312-50v8 EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker v8 new dumpsST0-141 mock examR3#conf tEnter setup directions, one for every line. That is commonly the aftereffect of a required keepalive not being available. With Edge Hand-off, it's presumably a LMI issue, however with legitimately associated sequential interfaces the issue is in all likelihood the DCE end of the association not providing clockrate.R3#show interface sequential 1Serial1 is up, line convention is downInvestigating is a major piece of the activity, and it's a major piece of the Cisco CCNA and CCNP programs too. BSCI test achievement, also acquiring your CCNP, can descend to your OSPF course outline abilities. There are a couple of various directions and circumstances you should be prepared for, and one of these imperative subtleties is the best possible utilization of the "synopsis address" order. The rundown address direction ought to be utilized on an ASBR so as to condense courses that are being infused into the OSPF space by means of redistribution. In the accompanying model, four courses are being redistributed into OSPF on R1, making R1 an ASBR.Pass4sure test questions freeC2090-304 IBM InfoSphere QualityStage v9.1 Solution Developer essay questions250-412 exam pass assuranceM6040-420 SureMark Printers Models 2xR and 1xR Sales Mastery dumps free176.pdf fullversion pdfP8060-028 vce exam collection312-49 vce exam simulator 2019magento 2 certification study toolsPC0-006 online testC9530-277 essay questions820-432 cbtMB2-717 exam review700-070 Cisco TelePresence IX5000 Series Immersive Solutions Jsfiddle prepaway1Y0-202 Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Administration 7.6 LTSR Jsfiddle questions pdfHPE2-CP04 Implementing and Modernizing Virtualization practice examP3OF.pdf real q&aMB-230 free test online642-145 cert pdf00M-246 online vce500-052 Deploying Cisco Unified Contact Center Express questions pdf7693X free pdfPass4sure kill exam810-403 dumpsPMI-ACP free pdfHP2-H33 practice examinterface Loopback16ip address 18.104.22.168 255.0.0.0!interface Loopback17ip address 22.214.171.124 255.0.0.0!interface Loopback18ip address 126.96.36.199 255.0.0.0!interface Loopback19ip address 188.8.131.52 255.0.0.0R1(config)#router ospf 1R1(config-router)#redistribute associated subnetsThese four courses are seen on the downstream switch R2 as Outside Sort 2, the default for courses redistributed into OSPF.R2#show ip course ospfO E2 184.108.40.206/8 [110/20] by means of 220.127.116.11, 00:00:07, Serial0O E2 18.104.22.168/8 [110/20] by means of 22.214.171.124, 00:00:07, Serial0O E2 126.96.36.199/8 [110/20] by means of 188.8.131.52, 00:00:07, Serial0O E2 184.108.40.206/8 [110/20] by means of 220.127.116.11, 00:00:07, Serial0You can most likely do this rundown in your mind, yet do as such before proceeding with the lab. : )R1(config)#router ospf 1R1(config-router)#summary-address 18.104.22.168 252.0.0.0Take a gander at the distinction in R2's OSPF table.R2#show ip course ospfO E2 22.214.171.124/6 [110/20] by means of 126.96.36.199, 00:00:05, Serial0The outer courses have been effectively abridged, and four courses have been outlined into one single course. Realizing when and how to make an OSPF virtual connection is a fundamental expertise for BSCI and CCNP test achievement, also how significant it very well may be on your activity! As a CCNA and CCNP up-and-comer, you know the hypothesis of virtual connections, so how about we investigate how to arrange a virtual connection, just as some genuine tips that numerous CCNA and CCNP study aides forget about! In this design, no switch with an interface in Region 4 has a physical interface in Territory 0. This implies a consistent association with Region 0, a virtual connection, must be constructed. In the accompanying model, R1 and R3 are neighboring and both have interfaces in Territory 0. R4 has a contiguousness with R3 by means of Territory 34, yet R4 has no physical interface in Region 0 and is publicizing its loopback 188.8.131.52 into OSPF.
