We move on. Always. But at what cost?

JAIPUR JAUNTS-1
 Shruthi Rao
 20 February 2018

Epitome of art, architecture and culture. They are rightly the essence of Jaipur, the pink city. Place so vibrant and colorful can be synonymized as “Gateway to Royal Rajasthan”. Art and Architecture is so vastly reflected in the city that once visited, it’s almost impossible to control the urge to visit other parts of the state.Food and delicacies of this region are something not to ignore either. Rich in spices, flavours and desi Ghee are truly the royal ingredients of a Rajasthani meal. This is the exact reason a clique of girls got lost on the streets of Jaipur looking for that perfect Gewarh,Pyaz ke Samose and Dal bati churma; until they could satisfy their appetites. One of the girls wanted to capture the moments and perceptions, while others wanted to be captured in the moments. While the other girls wanted to take back goodies and merchandises as memorabilia, this girl wanted to take back the memories, trapped in the right words.Again, one among them, wanted to live in the aroma and vibes of the place herself, while others wanted to just experience them temporarily. There was something beautiful about feeling on vacation and at home all at once, that’s what made her pen this down.Four girls landed in the city, early in the morning, unaware of even the places to halt. But were no slow-paced in kick starting the day, all dressed to perfection and making bold statements. “Yes, they believed in travelling in class”. It didn’t matter how their itinerary was, but their attires were sure as hell ‘well planned’. It included colors and vibrancies as a base, two days of modernity with some desi touch, while one day restricted to contemporarily basic ethnic outfits!!Itinerary was something like this, first day included all the outskirts, majorly forts of Jaipur. Second day an excursion to Ajmer and Pushkar. Last day included the local inner-city sight-seeing. Planned shopping was to be done either at Pushkar or on the last day of trip which went for a toss and they ended up shopping on all three days. After all, they were girls and it was a girls’ trip, Duuuhhh!!!!!!! Let me clarify – not being a contra feminist here.Experience differ from person to person and so does the stories of travel, even if it’s of the same place or of multiple times. Amer fort (as pronounced), which is written as Amber fort,is a delight to ones’ senses. Well planned, better maintained and least destroyed of all the forts deserves to be called the best of them all. A person can typically spend minimum of one to one and a half hour within the fort. Jaigarh holds world’s largest cannon displayed for public. The walls of Jaigarh and Nahargarh forts are infamously called Great wall of India similar to that of China’s. The view from above and amidst those walls are surely worth a great deal of calorie burn. Not to miss a couple of stops where a glimpse of Jalmahal can be spotted in all its glory,on the driveway to Nahargarh. One can even have some chai and coffee from the local vendors, while chilling at these viewpoints.Pushkar, girls fell for it the moment they entered the streets. Call them vibes, spirit or energy, there was something totally positive. People tend to get drawn towards the hippie culture and ambience the town has. Hosting its tourists with the world’s one and only Bramha temple, charm of the town lies on the banks of serene and sacred lake of Pushkar. The roads of Ajmer to Pushkar in between the aravalli ranges, a sunset on the countryside as a back drop to the camel safari, all adds on to the drive factor. A stay here wouldn’t harm your pockets provided the kind of vacation being looked forward to is of chilling and relaxation as a main purpose. Add on: There is a lot to shop at this place, bargaining is the key!Ajmer Shariff Dargah is a place of religious significance, where faith of believers can be seen at its highest. One thing to be kept in mind is not to visit the place during the times of prayer, especially on the days of Jumma. Tourists might end up waiting for hours together just to enter the center sanctum. Also, the inner most sanctum is the hardest to get in and out of, it is advisable to be cautious of your belongings and special attention required for kids. The most economical and convenient way of travel around Jaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar back and forth is by local buses .It's good to keep a track of time and manage the day accordingly. There are frequent buses plying around, reaching the destination within the span of 2.5 hours. However, if there are kids and people with ailments and ageing, it's advisable to hire a cab on fair prices.Final day, girls headed towards city the local way. The most effective way of reaching the local sights is by a rick or a cab. All the major destinations inside city for example City palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar are all within the walkable distance from one another. These structures of Hawa Mahal and city palace are of more recent times as compared to those forts on the outskirts. Peek-a-Boo through those colorful windows is how Hawa Mahal can be described. City palace is in all its splendor and glory of roughness. It is enclosed with Musuems, Art galleries, Durbar halls etc. which exhibit the objects used by the then royal family. Only place of interest in Jantar Mantar for girls was of structures containing zodiac signs, along with which they could get photographed. People with special interest in science and astronomical knowledge would enjoy this more than laymen. Otherwise, it is still a good sight to visit as a place from history, especially with the world's biggest sundial as a main attraction.Girls felt teleported to the era of maharaja, these structures gave them a feel of life within them. How they wished, they could go back in time and visit when these places were inhabited!!P.S. My HApPyy Moments:1.Spotting Colorfully Painted Elephants on the streets.2.Watching ladies cooking roti on the lanes of Pushkar.3.Getting a glimpse of civilization and mountains merging from Nahargarh.4.Buying a palazzo with elephant prints on them Yesss… elephant in it’s any form is LOVE!!! HAppy Vacations and don’t forget to check the next blog“Background Check, Jaipur Jaunts-2”, containing history of the places mentioned here in detail.

A Child-star to a Superstar
 Aman Upadhyay
 25 February 2018

The first female superstar of the Indian Cinema, Sridevi (bornShree Amma Yanger Ayyapan), passed away last night. As soon as the news came, it was mandatory to check if it was some kind of rumor. But, to our utter grief, it was true. And true to such extent that we are still taken aback to witness the ‘Hawaa-Hawai’ star, go too soon at the age of 54. She broke our hearts for the first time when she played an autistic child-woman in Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Sadma’ (the Sadma lullaby is still one of the most cherished memories from my childhood) and yet again she has left us in tears. The only difference is that this time she has left us heartbroken forever. It’s just so unfair that the versatile actress had a cardiac arrest and left us. We all watched her with awe, in ‘Himmatwala’ doing ‘Naino me Sapna’, in Yash Chopra directed ‘Lamhe’, in ‘Roop Ki Rani, Choro Ka Raja’, in ‘Nagina’ and ‘Nigahein’ as the snake-lady, and in the iconic roles she played in five Indian languages. ‘Judaai’, ‘Khuda Gawaah’, ‘ChaalBaaz’, ‘Mr. India’ and ‘Chandni’ are some movies that would not have had the fame they have if Sridevi was not a part of them.A special mention for her last but not the least, ‘Mom’ where she showed that she was still the same Sridevi that we then fell in love with when she proved herself yet again. It’s been heard that she has played a guest appearance in Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ which is up for release in December this year.Sridevi in her entire career displayed that simple yet the heart-warming, beautiful smile that could melt a man of any age. Here’s to a stunning superstar, a mother, an icon, an inspiration, and an artist - may you find peace wherever you now are. And you’ll be missed. Always.

Depression In Life
 Rahul Yadav
 9 March 2018

" Rukh Zindagi ne mor lia kesa , humne socha nhi tha kbhi esa. Ata nhi yakeen kya se kya ho gya , kis tarah mei tujhse yuh bewafa ho gya. Insaf kar do ,mujhe maaf kardo." It's 2:45 am, the silence around me is bliss, no noise, the lyrics are taking me to a different world and I started fighting my internal demons. We often tend to neglect our mental health. One of the most common illness that is overlooked is depression. People think depression is sadness. People think depression is crying. People think depression is dressing in black. But people are wrong. You toss and turn in your bed so that sinking feeling in your stomach goes away, but it doesn't. You wish your mind could just stop thinking, just for a moment, so you can trick your mind into falling asleep but it doesn't. It hasn't for 3 months now. You remind yourself of happy memories, but there don't seem to be any. The more you try to remember, the more miserable it feels. The worst part is, you don't know what caused this storm. Could it be the recent heartbreak? Or the fact that you've lost all your friends? Is it that you've lost all confidence in life. And that's what keeps you up all night. There's a sense of permanence in turmoil. It doesn't seem like it's ever going to be okay. Days aren't really days; they are just annoying obstacles that need to be faced. And how do you face them? Through drinking, through smoking, through drugs, through cutting. When you're depressed, you grasp on to anything that can get you through the day. Everything's going wrong all at once. With every step you take, your world collapses a little more. Nobody knows what you're going through, no matter how much they pretend to. They can't see what's hiding behind your smile. How can they not? You know what depression really feels like? Nothingness. It feels empty - zilch. There's nothing inside you, nothing around, nothing to look forward to. Nothing to fall back on. Nothing that you can see.

How my books changed me

Art

Books became my gateway into this wild jungle of imagination. We all read books in order to receive formal education but my relationship with books is ever dynamic. I remember being 10, with 4 comic books in my hand eagerly waiting for my study table to be delivered to my house. I promised myself that I will study on this table and read on this table all the time. It was the perfect table with a little book rack attached to it. Soon, the books started coming in.My grandmother tucked me into bed every night, only after telling me hindi stories. So even before I could read, my relationship with stories had already begun. I started writing about my mundane life as if it was a wild adventure, after reading "The Diary Of a Young Girl" by Anne frank. It baffled me how I could connect to characters in these books, who lived in these in places I have never heard of. I feel like I could read more books and develop telepathic powers someday, just like Matilda. Winnie the poohtaught me to be kind in the most humblest way possible. In my imagination, I was a part of every story I read. I understood how stories have the power to change the way I look at the world. When Robert Frost walked the road not taken,he lightened this new sense of hope and courage in me. Poetry became my way of expressing myself. I began scribbling poems in english, on the margin of my notebooks. I found the kind of friends, I aspire to become in the perks of being a wallflower. I found a mentor when I spend my Tuesdays with Morrie, who taught me the importance of being compassionate, taught me about the fragility of life and the value of memories, taught me to love or perish. She taught what immense bravery and standing up for others selflessly entails, when she stood in the face of death and told the gunman "I am Malala". She moved me in ways I hadn't been moved before. When  I thought I was hitting rock bottom, the alchemist showed me how the possibility of having a dream come true makes life interesting, makes every morning worth waking up to and that the secret of life is falling seven times and getting up eight times.  Rupi Kaur put her vulnerabilities in few sentences, on a paper for the whole world to see. Being honestly herself, she gave the world an insight on what a revolution it is to just love yourself. I wish to take something from every book I read. To become a reflection of every character that somehow touches my life. The person I am is the aftermath of all the books that I've read.

Mashmellos, ‘Lazer’, and high ‘Temperature’ at Vh1 Supersonic
 Verus Ferreira
 16 March 2018

When you have headliners such as Marshmallow, Major Lazer, and Sean Paul coming together, you know you are at one of the best festivals in the world.Kicking off the fifth edition from last year’s three stages, the fest brought in six stages this year, with the main stage Sonic Realm taking you into fairytale land with an Alice in Wonderland setup, complete with a clock, the hands that actually move, but anti-clockwise. You also had the wings of the ladybug open and close at intervals. And to top it all, you had the commanding deer right in the center. Laboratory Supersonic was the first stage as you entered the venue, and comparatively small compared to the others, but sporting a very industrial feel, complete with shipping port containers stacked in the backdrop. Live Arena was the huge main stage and a well thought of Changeover stage for much smaller acts. Between the Live Arena and the Spectrum stage that had more of the EDM acts, was the Reggae Stage close to the Beer Garden spinning out some classic reggae tunes on CD and vinyl. The first day of the three-day festival held from 9th, 10th and 11th February, saw Indie acts like Komorebi, Parekh & Singh, Clayton Hogermeer, Kohra, and Midival Punditz to the Live Arena stage offering the topper for the night Nucleya, Dillion Francis and Major Lazer on the Sonic Realm stage. Anyone who was at the festival will tell you how packed the venue was, and going by statistics from last year, this season saw the highest number of footfalls, with a total attendance of around 12,000 people on all three days. Major Lazer, who has played in the country before, began his set with one of Bollywood’s iconic track Choli Ke Peeche moving over to Kendrick Lamar’s Humble and Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You, besides of course his own songs. Lazer showed his love for Bollywood with more unexpected tracks like Ladki Kar Gayi Chul and a few others. If Daft Punk had their helmets, Deadmau5 his mouse head, Christopher Comstock, known professionally as Marshmello, an American electronic dance music producer and DJ had the mask head. Day 2 saw a few die-hard Mashmellow fans walk in with the face mask and dancing just like he does.Though the day started with some great acts like Madboy Mink and the Stage Collective at Live Arena, followed by the Shillong based Soulmate who gave a rousing performance, this was followed by the Ska Vengers ending with Bombay Bassment and the Fanculos. The Spectrum stage witnessed some big bang performances like Ash Roy and Tuhin Mehta to Joseph Capriati, while The Laboratoire stage witnessed some galactic performances from Raja Kumari bringing tracks like Meera, Believe in You, City Slums. DJ Uri played the turntables with Ryan Sadri on Sax, but the night eventually belonged to Mashmello. Once again like the previous night opening act was almost similar to that of Major Lazer as both of them had Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai as the opening song, but from there Mashmello went on to his blockbusters we love so much. The last day at Laxmi Lawns saw indie acts like Aswekeepsearching, Pentagram, The F 16s and American rock band Incubus to the Spectrum stage offering a fantastic set by Arjun Vagale. The main act for the night was taken by Sean Paul, with audiences expecting a night to remember. Sadly the Jamaican rapper who sported an orange jacket, was not in his element but managed to raise the bar a bit with songs like Temperature, She Doesn’t Mind and a few others. The venue had lots to offer, if you ever got tired of the music. At a sprawling 35,000 sq ft moving around from each stage would give you enough exercise to lose a few calories. Like last year, there were several installations to keep you busy. This year had a giant slide, swings, cute de-stress tents, a see saw, and a mechanical bull, besides of course a fabulous food court with a mini flea market. Sadly if you wanted to have your poison while you enjoyed your favourite act, you would have to down the glass of beer or Jim Bean at the bar itself, as no alcohol was permitted outside the bar area or allowed to be carried from one stage bar to the other. Something that the organisers should seriously consider doing away with. One may try to adhere to the Legal Drinking Age (LDA) of 25, but chances are you might just get away with it at the Beer Garden that had practically no security to oversee who was drinking what. Despite the hits and the misses, Vh1 Supersonic gave us memories we will always cherish. Can’t wait for next year.Text and Photos by Verus Ferreira

Music Story

Harvey Leigh Cantwel aka HRVY  is the guy of every teenage girl’s dream. With sky blue eyes and a ruffled blonde hairdo, the 19 year old lad is a fountain of talent. Seated at the Bottomline Media office, in a pair of torn jeans and a dark blue kurta, with his management team all around, when we meet HRVY, he’s like your boy next door, casual and down to earth. His first ever live performance at Hard Rock Cafe in Mumbai was sold out with many claiming his performance was truly astounding. He had the girls literally falling for him. His alluring face, million dollar smile and attractive looks, all go to make him a real charmer. HRVY is today one of the most searched singers with his video Personal clocking about 50 million views to date. His songs Phobia, Holiday and the latest single Personal are hot favourites with teens, with their lyrics, most stemming from HRVY’s personal life experiences. HRVY is a social media sensation on platforms such as Instagram and Twitter Before his fame on social media, HRVY was a presenter on BBC’s Friday Download. After that he took to social media and released his first EP, Holiday on 25th July, 2017. While his name is on every teens lips, we can’t but wonder, why the Londoner from Kent, chose HRVY and not his real name. We choose to find out this and lot more when The Teenager Today’s music columnist Verus Ferreira got exclusive access to the dashing youngster. Here are excerpts from that conversation:So everyone wants to know the reason for the change in name. Can you tell us where the ‘a’ and ‘e’ disappeared? My team thought we might take out the vowels ‘a’ and ‘e’, and see how it sounds and make my name sound a bit different. It just stuck What music did you listen to while you were growing up?I listened to U2, songs that my dad used to play in the car. I also like Justin Timberlake, he’s great, then there’s a singer Craig David from the UK and a lot of people who were on the charts while I was growing up. So when did the real love for music light up in you?Music got my fancy at a young age when I was like five or six when I first got to understand what music really was and really enjoyed listening to it. By the time I was 13, I decided that music was what I wanted to do. I had posted a cover of a song on Facebook called ‘Simply Amazing’ by American singer Trey Songz. I shared it around on Facebook and it got a lot of traction for me and it just reached a new high. Then my manager thought I should make a video of it with me singing in it and yeah that’s how it really clicked. So it was a Facebook video which appeared on YouTube. Do songs like Phobia, Holiday, or Personal, give out a message to all your fans? Well not really, I mean, we just write about how we feel which is a concept on how we all work. I like Holiday which is a bit of fun, while Phobia was like more of heart break song, and I know people would like that kind of stuff, it’s just got that romantic side to it. So do these songs stem from your real life experiences? Some of it kind of influenced it a bit, while some of it isn’t, and some is just made up. Well going back in time I liked this girl and so it comes from there. Well the songs are a little bit of my own experiences, and so like I said, like Personal has a line about my ex girlfriend, with a line... you used to flirt with your friends. And as I said I guess a lot is also made up. Every artist goes to a lot of obstacles to reach the top, you have succeeded quite easily. How did you do it?I feel like my career is only just started, and I am sure there will be some obstacles in the way in the future. I think for now it’s been pretty okay, I’ve been on the top, so I’m fine. Your EP ‘Talk with Ya’ has both the songs Phobia and Personal. Phobia is slow, while Holiday is a bit up tempo. How do the fans react to such songs? The fans really like Phobia because it’s much slower, while Personal is danceable, which is really good, so they get a chance to choose what they really like, they have both, songs that they can chill out to at a party and the other to just listen to. Besides singing do play any musical instruments?I really want to learn the piano; I think it’s a very beautiful instrument So in the future what songs would you like to make, slow or maybe a few dance numbers?I would like to release music that has everything, that has both slow and fast numbers.Coming to your first visit to Mumbai, when you knew you were coming to India, what is the first thought that came to your mind?I am really happy to be in India, even if it’s just 5 days. It’s amazing to see such a diverse culture out here. I love the people, they’re so friendly. Everyone who I met, asked me about how I liked the country. They were really very nice and kind to me. So have you heard or watched any Bollywood movies?I have heard a lot of Bollywood and there’s this actor that we have been talking about with my team, I think his name is Shah Rukh Khan and yes I want to watch his movies before I go or take some DVDs home with me. You also have a tour with The Vamps coming up soon, are you also planning a collaboration with them also?Yes I have a tour with them in March and about collaboration well who knows, we are all friends and it may happen. So for now, it’s just the tour with them and just have some fun and yes we want to come to India again. I love the country and will be here again soon. The Vamps are supposed to be on tour in India in June this year and I’m coming back with them. Do you plan on shooting any music videos in India, considering that there have been many artists like Coldplay who have also shot videos here? Now that I have been here I definitely want to shoot a video, and yes the next time we come to India, or maybe when we come in June and also at the end of the year, we may just decide on it. We would probably take in a bit of the Indian culture in it and yes wear something like this (points to his blue kurta). So what are your dreams and aspirations? To take over the world in a good way, musically have my music everywhere. What are your future plans?Just keep releasing songs and to release more music, travel around the world....... just to have fun.... really. What memories would you take from India?I take memories of the people, how they relate to me, the things I’ve seen on the streets, everything around me, the food. I want to try some street food, we haven’t really done that yet, we have kind of hotel food at the moment, so I want to try the dosa. So finally we come to a question many girls would want to know. Do you have a girlfriend? No (laughs). I don’t, I am singleAny message for your fans? I love you guys, thank you for being so supportive, Shukriya. Text and Photos by Verus Ferreira

THE LANGUAGE OF VIOLENCE
 Gunika Grover
 7 April 2018

Derrick Jensen, in his book “A language older than words” showcases a monologue of torturous life in the first chapter titled silencing. In a world of mixed ethnicities and cultures, jensen wishes to connect and hit homes of the readers with his nerve wrecking message about the existing mushrooming violence. Marveling environmental beauty and the reality of space, he traverses from his memories of the troubled past and guides us to his future and expeditions where he sought lying was the only route to mend his living. The implicit silence that lurks within the society now and since childhood then, is an act of living in a world distant from the truth. In our schooling years whence we all our free birds with no systemisation in our lives, we risk our hearts at the pleasures of being honest and innocent. The education we receive is a monopolistic game play to create disparity between what we are taught and what we experience and feel. The difference makes us stuck in a virtual world where there is a constant conflict between the residence of belief or sight. To survive from which, we must speak lies. With the passage of time, we get bound within the bountiful cultures of knowledge and monotony strikes our lives and we begin to settle. Settle for the way we work, the pattern in which we breathe, the space in which we travel. This life is ushered by physical, mental emotional oppression. However the contemporary era may be, we continue to deny the truth in reality and become mindless, deaf and mute to those in need. “the lies act as barriers to truth.”If one chose to speak, he would be silenced by the oppressing powers of culture, politics in the society. “Consider your own life, the ways you deny your own experience, the ways you have to deaden your own empathies to get through the day.” This subjugation of truth and self acceptance that has been hardwired in our lives sJensen snap shows flashes from his distraught childhood of extreme physical abuse, to which he was made accustomed to as they were ritualised by his father. Making him witness the rule of the powerful, he made jensen sit on the table, quietly, while he assaulted and victimised his family members. after this became a regime, jensen abandoned his belief system and gave up the fight for a change. His father, made him believe in a world which was made out of a figment of his imagination. To him, this ‘control’ over his thoughts and subsequently actions was ‘normal’. although The intensity of torture and pain inflicted over jensen was a customised service upon him done by his father;he was made to believe that this was the routine for him. Escaping from such incidences was a question of human dignity, more of all, his survival. How did he cater to this acute urge to survive? By lying.Jensen rightfully demonstrates how violence speaks the language of lies. “do not believe a word I write in this book, about my father, about the culture, about anything.” Jensen puts the reader in a state of epistemic ambivalence when he contradicts himself and his stories in an attempt to fabricate the truth. For even then, he wishes to make his ends meet. However unbelievable these covers may be, they must always serve as the barrier for truth to colour the horrid reality. He caged himself in a rock crystallized world where he chose silence over speech, calm over revolt and lies over truth. He quotes R.D Laing “ if our experience is destroyed we have lost our own selves” which is precisely jensen’s trial. By denying of it all being happened at the first place, he attempts on losing those memories. These fabrications are the only bread to the subjugated human, suffocating inside the uniform bars of falsehood.History reflects the human tendency to turn a blind eye and lie about the existence of the to existence of successive damaging events. The study from the Allport, Bruner and Jandorf , psychologists of the holocaust and the transformation of the oppressed, from victims to survivors, is hard hitting one. In that period of constant misery and turmoil, steadily victims adapted to their fate, they became tolerant. This tolerance came by the harvest of escapism in their sweet, small endeavors as a mechanism for survival. They found their abode in mozart, business trips and leisure at the countryside. This helped them carve out their world of facades and live in an unreal reality. Jensen attempts the same by reaching out to the naturally expressive yet unspeaking and unhearing stars and moons. “I did not die because they spoke to me.”Jensen snap shows flashes from his distraught childhood of extreme physical abuse, to which he was made accustomed to as they were ritualised by his father. Making him witness the rule of the powerful, he made jensen sit on the table ,quietly, while he assaulted and victimised his family members. By staining his head, instead of painting a fresh leaf, it became a regime, jensen abandoned his belief system and gave up the fight for a change. This tolerance came by the harvest of escapism in their sweet, small endeavors as a mechanism for survival. They found their abode in mozart, business trips and leisure at the countryside. This helped them carve out their world of facades and live in an unreal reality. By staunch He reaches out to the time when humans see but don’t acknowledge, hear but not listen and register quite what happens around them. He talks of a time when if a grenade were to roll across on the floor, it humans won’t realize it and turn a blind eye to them. Grease, oil and barrels all of which are uncommon to an average working class human, would be highly common. To the dockworkers and factory-men and thus, dangers in a mill would be shortly adjusted to their lifestyle. They too live in a little world of their own lies, ruled by terror but governed by their own escape.Humans are the tenants of the hyperbole of their deception and by each passing moment of progression or digression they save themselves by being stagnant in their own times. . There are atrocities, havocs, desirous activities, disasters and other moments of upheavels for an average human, imagining an illusionary universe can provide a necessary escape. Hence comes the dire need for adopting false mechanisms. False mechanism provides a fraudulent environment which is subjective to everyone, even if so in reality there is a mass in the common pit. In Jensen’s state of constant denial and neglect of reality, he dwells on his experience and faded memories, even while trying to let go of it. They are always arriving in a constant state of departure. We are silencing the reality which begs our interest and action. And even though we go on eons and eons, we are only here for the fraction of fraction of a second and so we stand in a pool of human built subdued untruths. A pool of veils on truth,  made by the subject hood of individuals ,granted to it by the society to facilitate existence. After all the romanticism of relativity theory lies in the passage of time which depends directly as to where we are standing. In past, present, future or just an unreal world decorated by lies of our own.

Are teenagers really a 'mess'?
 Diksha Yadav
 20 April 2018

Taking a little hiatus to their lives. We never forget what a mess we were at 16! A big group of friends or no friends at all, being a bully or getting bullied, a friendly person or an introvert who were never in love with their voice. Maybe? Faking smiles or laughing all day long, Dried eyes or dove eyes, racing with the wind at the speed of light, classmates who were irritating before, started residung in the hearts! trying to cover acne, carefree yet insecure about themselves, shot up hormones, distancing themselves from parents, intriguing or rather, questions at every step, looking at the world through a different lens. Undoubtedly, teenage life is the most confusing phase of one's life. How desperatelywe wished to relive those years and change them or live them again? That chapter of life, we all agree was no cake walk but surviving it and living it creating memories seems to be a victory in itself. It looks like a crucial step in the evolution of man which made us strong was this silly age. It seems to shape our present and that is quite a generalized statement. Isn't it?Teens question everything. Yes, even if they have google! It doesn't matter. They will always be in denial. They keep oscillating and floundering in their likes and dislikes. Sahas, hardworking and nervous, antonym to hisfriend, has emerged from a troubled past only to find that his future doesn’tcome without encumbrances. Their friendship is the one constant in thetwo boys’ lives, but that is tested when they each meet Aarti – a mysterious, compassionate, beautiful girl who captures both their imaginations andsets their hearts aflame. Will their passion for the same girl, and an untimely tragedy, sunder the twofriends forever?A compelling tale with twists and turns reminiscent of India’s melodramaticfilms, For a Girl in a Star deals with the age–old staples of young love, heartbreak, and what it means to be a true friend.Starting from the cover is eye catching. It’s not only the design work but also the substance of the Story as well. Just look at the design, there is a couple and a guy which is going away from the couple. The view is simply amazing. The title of the novel is thoughtful, and completely justifying the story. They complement each other well and also is according to the story, so it’s a perfect combination. The story revolves on love triangle with the lives main protagonist Avinash (Avi), Sahas and Aarti. Avi & Sahas, both belonged to the same village Agumbe. Since their early childhood, they were the best buddies of each other and the depth of their friendship was beyond of any imagination. Since the time Avi saved Sahas’s life from drowning in his childhood, Sahas devoted his unconditional friendship to him and soon with time, their bond became inseparable. Aarti was a girl, full of life, with a caring and sensible heart, mature thoughts and kind nature. Her beauty of heart got reflected in her outer appearance also.Aarti and Sahas are in the same college. With continuous interactions, and close encounters, even a shy personality like Sahas also had fallen head over hills for Aarti, but due to lack of courage, he could not get the chance to express his true feelings in front of Aarti. Aarti considered Sahas as a very good & genuine close friend, but she was unaware completely about the feelings of Sahas for her.Sleep felt like a faraway dream since he meet her…Destiny made Avi too crossed his path with Aarti suddenly in an awkward situation, and soon after the first sight, Avi noticed the actually inner beauty of that Aarti possessed and curiosity stuck him. Not one time, but frequently, and after a point, Avi got the chance to interact with Aarti directly. Though their initial interactions was one sided, but soon, after realizing the talent of Avi, and seeing the mesmerizing art of Avi, and his inner simplicity of heart, she started to admire him. With time, they got very close to each other and love blossomed inside the heart of both of them. Even their love for each other made them to take a step further. It is the destiny which turns out to be so cruel that it brings so much misunderstanding in the life of two childhood friends who fall in love with the same girl. It happens in movies that two boys of different worlds find one girl and fall in love with. Talk about coincidence but it happens with these childhood friends. And of course, this love-triangle drives a wedge between them. The story revolves around their struggles and the way they cope up with grief and situations. The story makes you smile in the first half and leaves you sobbing in the second half, the story is narrated in such a manner that everything you read can be visualized.Life sometimes throws you encounters only to leave you indelible memoriesLanguage is simple and lucid to read and connect with the story and being engaged throughout the story.  Characters are also clearly justified to their respective roles and all of the characters mentioned in the book have been portrayed in such a way, that any reader will be able to connect with the characters effortlessly and live the journey with them. It’s a combination of emotions, revenge, friendship, realization, redemption, love, true love, pain, joy, happiness, laughter, family, fate & many other elements infused together. However, the editing errors including spelling and grammatical errors are numerous.  I had learned the true meaning of friendship from the book.Recommended to all bibliophiles.Overall 5/5 StarsAbout the AuthorRatna Chandu was born and brought up in Hyderabad and did her engineering in mechanical. To unravel the truth you have to be a part of the journey of Queen Meeramani’s struggle.MY TAKEStarting from the cover It’s one of the best I’ve come across in recent times in historical friction. The tile is perfect for the plot. “The Divine Throne of Maharani Meeramani” is the first fictional social novel of the author Meenakshi Verma, in which she has raised the question of respect and rights of the third gender, ‘Eunuchs’ along with the equal rights of all human beings. She has not only raised the questions, but also tried to suggest a solution to the society. This is the story of  Jairajgarh: The Grand Empire Of Rajputana of Maharana Ranjeet Dev Pratap Singh is a great warrior, and a devious politician. The story starts with announcement of next war and news of Prince Samar Dev marriage. While going for the war the news of  untimely death of Prince Samar Dev Pratap Singh everybody was shaken. The entire Jairajgarh was struck with grief. Maharana had locked himself up in his personal room. He had restricted himself to a personal dark room and the words of his Father Maharana Surya Dev Pratap Singh were echoing in his mind and then goes to flashback of Ranjeet childhood memories with his father Surya Dev Pratap Singh and two wives Queen Manorama Devi and Maharani Kesar Devi and seven children. There is no unity in the family and where is no unity, there can never be peace. Both wives and their children all are always busy in pulling each other. While remembering these lesson from his father life, Ranjeet has decided he will marry as many wives as he want but was sure enough that he will make his child from only one wife who deserves to get the throne. He first marries Queen Vaishali as per his father wish but there relation was not much successful.  He then marries Queen Ambika love of his life. Later Queen Vaishali realizes the truth of Maharana Ranjeet and commits suicides and Queen Ambika was all alone after the death of Queen Vaishali and she realize the pain of Queen Vaishali had gone through. Maharana had never loved her and then later Maharana Ranjeet marry Queen Meermani. Meeramani and Ambika share a bond more than real sisters rather than the life of co-wives. Later Queen Ambika with help of Queen Meermani  was conceiving. The child born was was eunuch. If a child gets good upbringing and education then he could do anything and become anything, even if he is a eunuch. Deformity in a body could be anywhere so how is the child responsible for it, if he is a son, a daughter or a eunuch, but isn’t he still  the child to his parents. He can be anything for society, but for his parents he is still their child and separating a child from his mother or a father is a shame on humanity as well as society. As per Queen Ambika request Maharana Ranjeet to give throne of Maharani to Meeramani and also gives the right of his son as mother to Meeramani. From there Maharani Meeramani and her struggle begins with the Prince Samar Dev and form a army of eunuch peoples to give them their right to live Shiva-Jan Army their main aim was to protect Prince Samar Dev. Will Maharana will get to know the truth behind the birth of his son? What happens to Meeramani? Will the bond with Queen Ambika and Maharani Meeramani will remain same? To know more go and grab the copy of book.Settings in the story are Jairajgarh, Ballabhgarh, Rajputana, Sambhalgarh, Kashi, Santpuram. The story revolves around the Maharana Ranjeet Dev Pratap Singh, Prince Samar Dev, Maharani Meeramani Devi, Maharana Surya Dev Pratap Singh, Queen Vaishali, Queen Ambika Devi, Prince Rudra Dev Pratap Singh, Princess Amritamani, Akroor Singh, Sushant Singh, Sukanya Devi, King Satya Rajsingh, Queen Manorama Devi, Maharani Kesar Devi, Neelima, Manjeet Dev Pratap Singh, Jagjeet Dev Pratap Singh, Rukma, Padma, Shobhana, Shamsheer Singh, Acharya Chaturanand, Prince Neelkant, King Krishnakant, Queen Jamuna Devi, Princess Ambika, Prince Khushaal Singh, Shiromani Pandit Gangeshwar Nath Shastri, Pandit Rameshwar Nath Shastri, Sushma, Heeranand, Ranjeet Singh, Janki Devi, Gulabo, King Surat Singh, Uma Devi, Kaushika, Prince Virat Singh, Sheetla Devi, Prince Somesh, Malini, Jagat Singh, Shambhoo Singh, Kaushika, Queen Padmavati, King Shantanu Dev, Shankula Devi, Sulakshana, Mungeri, King Gangdev, Baba Vishwanath, Kokila, Chanchala, Phoolan, Chammo, Gola, Gannu, Kaalu, Malini, Princess Sukanya, Shiromani Pandit Gopaleshwar Nath Shastri, Kamala Devi, Leela Devi, Dev Kumar Shashtri, Shyaamla, Govardhandas.Language is Simple, crisp and lucid. The smooth flow of words makes the narrative not only easy but engrossing too. The characters be they the protagonists or the supporting souls, are well articulated, thus making it easy for the reader to relate to them, their views, their actions and reactions. In fact one can easily don their shoes and live the story without feeling ill at ease/ appearing odd. Each one of them contributes to taking the story forward without a hitch, without a hurdle. The author’s mastery over the language is evident from the terms he has used and the vivid description of events that unfold in the pages of the book. To write is an art, to keep the reader spellbound and yearning for more is magic. The book brings out sibling love at its best and also addresses certain social issues in subtle yet powerful strokes. This book deals with every aspect of struggles a women undergone during the ancient time and also serves a great social message about eunuch community. There are a few typos and one or two places where the author has made contradictory usages that need to be rectified. My favorite protagonist of this story is Maharani Meeramani. The book has worth to be carried and flaunt because it has got a magical touch of love which can be done in a single sitting.A wonderful read, one I’ll strongly recommend to all book lovers. I’m sure that those who don’t like the historical friction will not get disappointed after reading the book.Overall Ratings- 4/5 StarsAbout the AuthorMeenakshi was born on December 27, 1972, in New Delhi. A mother of two boisterous boys and a charming lady wife of a serving officer, a teacher and a writer, she wears all these varied caps with élan. What inspires you to write the book?Social evil spread rampant made me restless and that restlessness made me write a story of triumph of good over evil that too a battle waged by a woman who had nothing extraordinary about her, just will to eradicate evil from society and save her brethren. How did publishing your debut novel “The Mysterious Widows of Mehboobpura” change your process of writing?I am even more motivated, more responsible and disciplined. Of course since I have gone through the process once now I know the do’s and don’t of the craft. What is the main thing you want readers to take away from this book? The central idea of the book that social evils like drugs and other things which can finish a complete generation, a healthy society should be curbed and finished at all costs, it is possible to fight against it at your level, individually as well and it should be done by each and everyone of us.What are your hobbies, passion other than writing?Other than writing I enjoy travelling, listening to music and of course I read a lot.If I have a good book in my hand then I forget everything else.Do you recall the first ever book/novel you read?Yes, I was very small then, mere 3 year old. It changes according to the perception of a person. For me, my book getting published, gives me a stupendous feeling for the main reason that words do not have death. Words change into knowledge and will always float in this worldly space. How did you feel when the publisher accepted your draft for the first time ?The idea of the novel was revolving in my head for quite sometime, it was crystal clear in my head. When it got accepted by the publisher though, i gave a contented sigh, as it was a first sign that now the book is on its way for publishing.Tell us something interesting that has occurred since you became a writer? It is overall a good feeling, when people read my book and come up to me or call me to tell that they enjoyed it thoroughly. Anyone can fall in love at the first sight of her.Aashish: Sushil's Best friend, who loves Anjali one-sided.Anuradha: A journalism Student and doing research on Writer.Sushil Pandit is a mechanical engineer. He is also an author of two bestselling novels. Now, he has everything in life, except his love, Anjali. Love is a blissful and everyone has to experience it once in a lifetime. Love makes life lively and also give a reason to live. There was a time when these two lovebirds were an example of two bodies, one soul. But a turning point in their lives sets them apart, with their soul still united and strong. Experience a roller coaster of emotions in this story. Find out how Sushil changed into a successful person from an ordinary boy.My TakeStarting from the title of the book You Are the best thing That Happened to Me gives the hint’s to readers it’s going to be a love story. The title is apt according to the plot.  It’s been said that never judge a book cannot be judged by looking at its cover alone but I personally feel cover can be much better to catch attraction among readers. The story starts with an award function where our protagonist Sushil Pandit receives an award for best employee of the year 2016. Sushil Pandit is a mechanical engineer by profession and author of two bestselling novels. He has achieved everything in life except the love of his life. After the function on his way to home he happens to meets Anuradha a journalism student who doing some research on authors. Anuradha wants to know more about Sushi’s life after achieving everything in life he is incomplete.  Then the story enters into the flashback memories of when he was in school. Sushil joins a coaching center with his friends to improve grades in subject. There he meets Anjali for the first time and felt attracted towards her. Later Anjali and Sushil become best friends who can understand each other well. Sushil was confused with his feelings towards Anjali is it love or attraction? Ashish and Anjali are they both equally important to him he can’t even think of losing one for other. On the other hand Ashish had a crush on Anjali. To know more what happened next to Sushil read the book. The author had beautifully weaved the struggles of every middle class family, the family bonding, surprise birthday celebration of Anjali at tuition center, hang outs with friends, decision to choose between career and love, struggles after college, job hunt and many more incidents. I love how cunning crafted the mother and sons bonding.Language of the book is lucid and written in a simple way to comprehend for any kind of reader. A book which won’t require the use of a dictionary, a book which evens an amateur reader would love to get indulged in. The pace of the story is slow and kept dragging at some time. The characters are well developed and one can easily relate them.  Narration of the book is simple and engaging. A few typographical errors here and there need to be rectified. If the edit was done properly, the story would have sounded much better. If the Hindi dialogues were translated into English it was much better since everyone will not able to understand it.I recommend this book to the readers who are seeking for a quick read or a light-hearted romantic novel.Overall 3/5 StarsGrab the copy here- Amazon |FlipkartAbout the AuthorSushil Kumar Rana is a Mechanical Engineer work in an MNC company in Odisha. The value of Special Event Videography
 Leona Zoey
 1 November 2018

Despite the fact that we are now living in a digital age where more than two thirds of the adult population carry a smartphone, there is still great value to be had from hiring the professional services of an experienced videographer to film your special event, whether that be a corporate event or a notable family event that you want to capture for posterity. In this world of Instagram and throw-away snaps on our phones, hardly any of those taken are even looked at following an event, or even downloaded to print out!Within the visual industry, you will find some very talented and creative professionals that can turn photograph and films into a work of art. They plan out amazing ideas and execute them in a way that leads to delivering some spectacular work.Corporate event videographyUnless you have someone with these creative and clever capabilities present, your event will be just a moment in time that will be gone forever if you don't document it properly. Shooting professional footage of your corporate event can come in very handy. You can use the material to help tell a story or sell your company to prospective business partners and raise awareness of your brand. You can use your film footage to help captivate and entice a target audience that you want to attract to your company, whether that is to work with or sell to. If you are trying to raise money at the same time as running an event, then having a winning film of your event can help to boost ticket sales for the next event you plan to hold.Simply relying on using captured footage from staff smartphones to use for your marketing or to tell a story and document the event can end up looking bitty and unprofessional. What sort of image or first impression will you give to prospective business partners or customers if you don't approach running and documenting your events in a professional manner?Without quality film of your even, you cannot show how impressive or fun it was. You will be unable to show specific elements to potential sponsors, delegates and speakers.Important family eventsJust like in the corporate world, you cannot rely on gathering any useful or quality film footage from your friends and relatives that take snaps and videos of your family event using their smartphones.Whether it is a milestone wedding anniversary, a baby Christening or naming ceremony, engagement party or a celebration for a significant birthday, if you want to keep some treasured memories alive for years to come, hiring a professional videographer is the way to do it properly.Remember that just because everyone owns a smartphone these days, doesn't mean that everyone has suddenly become an expert videographer overnight! Just because your mum can bake a fantastic fruit cake doesn't mean that she could cater a whole wedding with 250 sit-down guests! The old saying of 'horses for courses' really still applies with videography as well as other skilled creative services. Book a professional if you want to benefit from good results. To know more visit our website.

Find your second innings homeIn this scene, I learnt that finding your second innings house where in you do not crib for the normal misfortunes which happen to every one of us. Instead of complaining, you find your own home where you can find a new reason to live your life. Like in the movie, all the old men find different meanings to live a purposeful life instead of brooding over their past. Fear is not good When you are fearful, you cannot perform well. But, there are situations when you are scared but still you have to perform. For instance, when this movie was released Raju Hirani the director of the movie was very scared. He did not know how the movie will come out to be. But, still he was determined in his heart and had the courage to make it. Someone who looks weak not necessarily be weak Mahatma Gandhi was afraid of public speaking. He was very shy. He gave up a case because he did not have the courage to speak. Because of his shyness it was becoming hard for him to continue his practice as a barrister. With practice and courage, Mahatma Gandhi overcame his shyness coming out to be one of the memorable political leaders of the country.Read more: The Meaning of Strength by a Feeble Manhttps://lovemishikasworld.tumblr.com/post/180476267118/lovemishikasworld-the-meaning-of-strength-by-a?fbclid=IwAR29P-N2OVjpKM9gXxexFOquv30YmAkDqz1nO7cIjc-S3O8nIYRdQkQdBYEHave the courage to be more than your public image In a scene in the movie, Mahatma Gandhi says that ask the young man to throw stones over my statue. Munna gets surprised that why Mahatma Gandhi is saying like that. While seeing this scene, I felt that Mahatma Gandhi is above his public image.  He didn’t cared for the outer respect from the young boy. But, he cared about that the young boy who had the courage to walk on Mahatma Gandhi’s path. Always be true to yourself In a scene in the movie, Mahatma Gandhi says to Munna that you have lied to Janhvi. Go tell her the truth because she doesn’t love you she loves that professor. Thus, always be honest to yourself and to your closed ones. There is no point making relations when there are not coming from your heart People often bash other people to get their work done. You cannot force anyone to make relations. Here, Munna forces his son to make relationship with his dad. Thus, he forces him to organize birthday party for his dad. What’s the point to make relations when it is not coming from your heart? Enjoy your old hood Enjoy your old hood because it as beautiful as your childhood. Mock your sorrowsWhen life gets tough, humour makes the journey easy. Take time to laugh at yourself.Choose long-term solutions over short-term solutions In tough times, go for long-term solutions that might take some time but are good for your overall benefit. Don’t scold your kids when they are honestDon’t scold your kids when they are sharing even your mistakes with you. This will give them the freedom to express themselves freely in front of you. Accept your mistakes Here Gandhiji accepts that when he was fifteen years old. He accepted his mistake that he has stolen gold of his brother. But, he accepted his mistake and changed himself for his better. In sad times recall good memories of your pastWhen you are sad, then in your mind eye’s run your beautiful past. True love brings smile on your faceThe time spent with your true love just passes by. Evaluating someone If you want to judge someone, then see how they behave with people who are lesser than them in social status. Opposite reaction to people who unnecessarily irritate you Opposite reaction to people who unnecessarily irritate you can work a lot. Find innovative ways to solve your problemsFind interesting and innovative ways to solve your problems. Do not believe in superstitions Do not believe in the society that is full of people blinded with superstition. It’s easy to preach but it is hard to practice It is hard to walk on the path of hard work, truth and honesty.

Glorious The Moon
 Dhwani Shah
 14 February 2019

Glorious the moon . . .therefore our thanksdark cloudsCome to rest our necks. When our focus shift from thoughts to self, we are grateful to everything around us. Our mind becomes silent and at rest.Life is a story we weave together from the thoughts, feelings, and emotions we experience each moment. Yet we live the majority of our life in the memories of our past and the expectations of the future. Rarely do we live in the purity of the present. In meditation we disrupt the unconscious progression of thoughts and emotions by focusing on a new object of attention, whether that is our breath or empty screen on third eye.Meditation is one of the best ways to loosen the grip of sticky emotions and connect to our true self, which isn’t limited, angry, or fearful, but is infinite, pure consciousness. Meditation brings us home to the peace of present-moment awareness and gives us an experience of profound relaxation that dissolves fatigue and long-standing stresses and – as countless studies have shown – promotes both physical and emotional healing. The benefits of meditation include:• lowered blood pressure and hypertension• slower heart rate• decreases cholesterol levels• reduced production of “stress hormones,” including cortisol and adrenaline• more efficient oxygen use by the body• increased production of the anti-aging hormone DHEA• improved immune functionBeyond these significant health benefits, the greatest gift of meditation is the sense of calm and inner peace it brings into our daily life. When we meditate, we go beyond the mind’s noisy chatter into an entirely different place: the silence of a mind that is not imprisoned by the past or the future.

Climate change conference in Swalberd

Swalberd is world's biggest place where Polar bears collectively meet for their community gathering and it is also one of those environmental places in Norway where the ice sheet issue can be most clearly discussed without considering virtual biases or threats to consider into virtual capacity.Generally it is a place that is located closer to the North Sea and very cold in it's climatic posture but in recent times it has faced environmental challenges of rising heat across the hemisphere and thus this place is the best potent platform by which the issue of glacial depletion can be addressed most effectively. To make it an orderly affair, thus certain agencies, climate experts and professionals met on 6th of February 2019 for a climate change conference that would have a core issue to understand by addressing the challenge of glaciation and to understand how it is going to make a certain effect the whole discussion would take on the move. The key focus was the cultural affect of the climate change in the ice sheet and thus Swalberd was chosen as a historic place to represent and thus Mr. Pant was very delighted to be part of it and share his valuable inputs about the whole issue around. The conference began with the discussion on the glaciation with it's core issues, valid perspective and how it is taken on as a concern by the environmentalists where it's frequent facts and misrepresented concepts became the heated discussion. Once that was done it proceeded further addressing the problems of glaciation and how it's increasing water may have a rising effect to any island country that is located on the shore line. After that issue was discussed by the representatives of the developing countries, the issue of glaciation turned to the migration, process of movement and human civilisation in which Mr. pant mainly put his views and it was a segment of rapid fire debate arguments which he marginally enjoyed. Being victorious in the Oslow Grand Quiz 2019 the previous day he has managed to ask his team also to accompany him and they also presented their facts considering the environmental challenges to express and hence in this segment the people of PH community presented their facts about their serious concerns on the ice depletions across the world which was entertaining and satisfying for the others as a great impact. After three certain impressive session of the conference the refreshments were offered and as always Mr. pant with his team preferred the vegetarian menu enjoying it for the moment with Norwegian cuisine tasting greatly with local vegetarian items to serve with more chocolate that lighted their mood. During the tea time he got the chance to meet prominent environmental leaders like Antoen Karlae, Scot Bolskaev, Yonathe Ghrolse and many others that made his mood lit high and his team felt great to be part of the conference discussing the key core as the time was also ticking by and the last segment of the session for the conference was approaching. Before that though Mr. pant took the opportunity to discuss the process of contribution to the environment regarding issue of Glaciation and he was assured by the Swalberd committee of ice balance that there are ways which should be informed to him later that made his journey happier by all ways.Discussing that how valuable to contribute he explained to other team members about snow management  and he turned with team smiles all around going inside to enjoy the last session of the conference which he was sure must have some resolution application to come through that may help in keeping balance of snow around the world. In the last session of the conference the resolution framework was brought into view mainly focusing that in what way the ice depletion can be managed and how it should also be made sure that people around the globe shouldn't be disconcerted with false facts and their impact. It was generally agreed that a common understanding of balance for the glaciation must be considered and snow balance must be prevailed without it's multiple misuse by any group or community that should serve the environmental harmony. The countries of Scandinavia agreed to a nodal agreement on Snow management which was also signed by other European members and hence with India keeping the track on through willing impact of Mr. pant and his team leading to the signatory process was also pleasing for the organisers, after that process thence the conference was over. It was one more memorable moment for Mr. Pant to cherish about and thence he wil keep it safe in his memories cherishing it's cultural and environmental joy for long by all means at large...

Should we fear Examinations?
 Ratna Kaul Bhardwaj

It is wrong to believe that examinations are a burden or a fear on part of all the communities involved in  the entire set up of our examination system, be it teachers, students or the parents. It is very important to understand that Examinations are an important tool to evaluate our understanding about the subjects being taught, or being learned.Generally we relate the examinations with the grades or the percentage of marks scored. If understood deeply, the grades or the marks scored don’t hold much importance in comparison to what has been learned or taught  and how the same has affected or been  related to  our day to day life.  When we prepare ourselves for the examinations, we get an opportunity to widen our understanding, to check the facts properly  and to learn and memories more deeply the information that a particular content offers. They also help to absorb the knowledge unconsciously. Hence, Examinations also provide us with an opportunity to work hard, develop mental discipline, patience, creativeness, leadership,  improving writing caliber, learn the content by heart, by understanding it, not by mugging it up. Once the content is mugged up, it looses its importance unless the information that it carries is stored deeply in our mind. So understanding the content is the most important factor in terms of gaining knowledge and applying it in our next level. In current scenario when the syllabus is quite huge, it is important for all to prepare a healthy schedule to address one content at a time, understand it, check the loop holes, focus on the logical part and  write the content a multiple times to grasp the knowledge, as writing improves comprehension and critical thinking. Writing is basically the frame work of our communication. It is important to understand that without conducting examinations, students do not concentrate in their studies, hence the mental discipline is lost. Hence, my advice here to all the communities involved in the process of examinations, is not to fear the system but to address it logically. Take it in the healthy spirit, don’t load the children with the burden but find ways and means by making it more playful, more enjoyable, and more practical by focusing on cross learning, making mind maps, designating time hours, multiple patterns of a single question, relating the content with day today activities the child is into, etc. Don’t forget to given leap hour to a child on daily basis during examination to rejuvenate his interest in examinations. Boredom should be avoided to keep their interest alive. All the best!Ratna Kaul Bhardwaj

Q:Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life. A: Currently I am studying in class 9. Till this day I've written over 30 poems, and the credit goes to the interest I have in literature and the way I somehow live my life to the fullest by being anxious.Q: How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write?  A: Nothing specifically inspired me to write for there is a lot going around in teenage years. Being an amateur in writer, I have a lot to face now. Come what may, my words won't be wasted. Q: What is your view about the present-day literary work? A: As times change, so does the face of literature. Though not so large in number, but there are various rising patrons publishing their own little worlds. Poets like me have new assets of the digital and social media. But sometimes these forums just mentally freeze a person as literature is an overwhelming field.Q: Please tell us something about your literary work. A: My poems are basically like a heart that sings alone. This includes narrating the aesthetics of some incidents, unanswered questions and  whimsical daydreams. Some of my literary works reflect self-assessments done at 3 am, uncertain love interests, phases of life, ghosts of people that are still alive, and deep messages conveyed through simple words. And the rest are stupid desires, abstracts, negative glimpses, anxious drama, confessions, longing memories, unspoken words, etc. I have tried to fit them in various poetic styles such as haiku, limerick, acrostic, sonnet, sometime free verses or created my own styles. Q: What was your first literary work and how was it published?A: My first literary work was a small Marathi poem that I wrote when I was 8, though I don't have it written somewhere but I do remember it. After that I hadn't written poems and stories for some 4 years, except some school homework.Q: How many ways literature can contribute to society in future?A: Literature contributes to the society in various ways that we don't even realize. On a smaller level, it might make someone's day and on a larger level, it acts like a eternal communication. To be honest, I do not like visualizing myself with a all 'down to the earth' attitude. I'll go where my poems will get me, also, I am considering to publish my poetry collection. I would suggest the build up a community where a every person gets recognition due to his/her poetic excellence and not the other way round where a poem gets recognition due to its poet/poetess. I am, myself, a aspiring writer and from the little experience I have, I would suggest them to write as per their own terms and conditions, not necessarily tracing some great writer's steps. Initially the context stays simple and text seems jumbled but as it moves forward, context deepens and words get cleared. One's written works are little parts of one's mind you give to the world.Q: How was your experience of writing on StoryMirror?  A: I am enjoying my experience with StoryMirror.I would like to add that, earlier I would surf through internet searching for writing communities based in India and would always end up on a abroad or almost closed writing communities. I am really grateful for coming across and being a part of StoryMirror and the respective contests, for being a platform for me to showcase my creativity.Q: Would you like to say something about StoryMirror? A: Also, thank you for providing me with the opportunity to share my views and opinions through this interview. Here is the link to read my content https://storymirror.com/profile/e2cgoydy/5-crookedfingers/poems

Please give details about your initial education and forming years of life.I was raised in Patna for the first eight years of my life, after which my family moved to Kolkata. I completed my schooling from Garden High School, Kolkata, and later studied English Literature at Lady Brabourne College under Calcutta University. Finally, I received a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC). Most of my childhood memories consist of my grandfather reading me stories, which sowed the first seeds of my obsession with storytelling and all things literary. How did you get interested in literature? What inspired you to write? Everything that happened in my life served as inspiration at one point or another, as well as the stories of other people whom I met or read about. I have also always been inspired by movies and TV shows, and routinely get obsessed with characters, whom I then proceed to write about and reinterpret in my own stories and poems.I guess my interest in literature was first born partly because of my grandfather, who would read stories to me every afternoon before we took a nap. That made me curious about storytelling, because I wanted to learn more about the characters and the world, even after the story was over. It was a mixed blessing, really, because I spent most of my student life hiding novels under my textbooks and almost flunking several exams as a consequence. What difficulties did you have to face with respect to literary work? Anything worth doing is hard to do, you know? The more you care about what you're doing, the more difficult it is, because you worry about the smallest mistakes and want the final product to be perfect. You also worry about what other people will think, whether or not reviewers and readers would like it, whether something might be misinterpreted, etc. But that's a good thing, really, because it wouldn't matter so much if you didn't love the work. The fact that it's difficult only proves that you're constantly trying to get better. When it stops being a challenge, that's when you need to start worrying. What is your view about the present day literary work? I think we're living in one of the best times in the history of humanity, in terms of literature, or artistic work of any kind. The variety and scope of opportunities that modern writers have is absolutely unprecedented. Earlier, in order to find an audience, you had to find a publisher who'd agree to invest in you, you had to then write in a way that would appeal to the largest section of people possible, to ensure that your publisher made a profit. Or you had to be insanely rich in order to opt for vanity publication, which was very expensive. Now, in various corners of the Internet, you can find all types of literary work – from fanfiction to poetry, novels to flash fiction, there is a place for everything. And all you need to access it is a smartphone and a data plan. And for the most part, you don't really have to worry about being censored or redacted. Writers have never been more free to experiment, try out new things, and have their voice be heard by people around the world.Do you think that the emergence of digital and social media has given a new opportunity to creative writers? Absolutely. I think that the Internet is the best invention since the printing press for writers and creatives in general. Please tell us something about your literary work. I write across mediums and genres. So far, I've written two and a half novels, more than fifty poems, numerous articles, four short stories, and two fanfiction stories. Really, it depends on the type of emotion I'm trying to convey at that point. Almost everything I've ever written can be found on my blog. Well, apart from the novels. Those can be found on Amazon and also on Wattpad. What was your first literary work and how was it published? Well, I suppose my first officially published work was my novel, The Classroom Effect. It was published via Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing program around 2015.How many ways literature can contribute to society in future? In the same way that it has contributed in the past, by keeping a record of the times so that future generations can learn from our mistakes, and the present generation can reflect on the realities of the world while at the same time being entertained.Where do you see yourself after 5 years in the literary world? Writing more stories, spinning better yarns? I don't know, really. As long as I can keep writing things that interest and excite me, I'd be happy! What ways would you suggest to build a community for poets? The best way for creative people to build communities, I think, is by freely sharing their works with those who might enjoy them. You can't connect with people if they don't know you exist. And sharing has never been as easy as it is now, with the Internet. So I think poets and writers in general should take advantage of this opportunity, and share as widely and as freely as possible. What message would you like to give to aspiring new writers? Well, I'm pretty new at this myself, and I do aspire. So I'm still in the process of figuring it all out myself. If there's one thing that I have learned, though, it's that in order to do any creative work, you absolutely HAVE to give yourself the freedom to fail. You have to allow yourself to do your absolute worst work, because that's the only way to learn and get better. There's really no way around being a novice. You can't reach grade 3 without going through grades 1 and 2. If you try for perfection from the very beginning (which is what I did initially) you'll just keep disappointing yourself and never get anything done. The desire for perfection is the birthplace of writer's block. How was your experience of writing on Storymirror? It has been wonderful so far! I've read some fantastic poetry on this site and had a lot of fun sharing my own work with this lovely community!Would you like to say something about Storymirror? I think Storymirror is a fantastic platform for young writers and poets to share their work and find a community of other creative individuals. I have been on many online writing forums and websites, but this is the first time I have come across such a platform based primarily around Indian writing. We have long needed such a platform, and therefore, I think it's an amazing initiative that all budding Indian writers and literature lovers should participate in wholeheartedly! Here is the link to read my content https://storymirror.com/profile/vkzhvfka/nupur-chowdhury/poems

The hormones of happyness
 Rajabala Tripathy
 1 April 2019

😊The Hormones Of Happiness : How To Increase Them😊...............................................All of your feelings and emotions are a result of chemical reactions taking place in your body. These reactions are responsible for making you feel negative emotions, like anger and sadness, as well as positive emotions, like love and happiness. Read on to find out what your happy hormones are and how you can increase them.😊Endorphins..........***Endorphins are your body's natural painkillers, since they block pain. Most people are aware of the fact that exercise releases endorphins, but they don't realise the reason for this. Way back in the stone ages, endorphins were important to our ancestors because they enabled them to keep running through the pain and escape predators. Today, we don't need to escape predators anymore, so we only produce endorphins when we perform anaerobic exercises, since endorphins help us to keep going even after we deplete our oxygen stores.Ways to increase your endorphin levels:***• Exercise to cope with chronic pain.• Eat spicy food, since your tongue has receptors that react to spice by sending messages to your brain that are similar to pain signals, causing your brain to trigger the release of endorphins.😊Serotonin***Serotonin is the key hormone of happiness, since it regulates mood, prevents depression, thwarts irritation and makes you happy and sociable.Ways to increase your serotonin levels:***• Spend time in the sun, since sunlight causes your body to produce Vitamin D, which triggers the release of serotonin.• Think happy thoughts, since your brain produces serotonin when you remember happy memories or think about things that make you happy.• Consume foods like milk and corn, since they contain tryptophan, a substance that your body converts to serotonin. Other carbohydrates also contain tryptophan.• Do a low-intensity workout, since your body produces serotonin when it is performing aerobic exercise, as opposed to the endorphins it produces during anaerobic exercise.😊Dopamine..........***Dopamine is a pleasure hormone that is released when you strive towards a goal. Dopamine motivates you to work hard so that you can achieve the satisfaction of reaching that goal. It also keeps you mentally alert and helps you focus.Ways to increase your dopamine levels:***• Set daily or monthly goals, since they give you something to strive towards.• Set exercise goals, since dopamine increases in tandem with serotonin and endorphins when you exercise. Setting goals will increase the production of dopamine even more.• Eat foods that are rich in protein.😊Oxytocin......****Oxytocin is the love hormone, and is released in large amounts during sexual intercourse and childbirth, but also during other types of affectionate physical contact, like hugging. Oxytocin also increases feelings of love and trust.Ways to increase your oxytocin levels: 😊• Get a massage, since it relaxes your muscles and the prolonged physical contact triggers the release of oxytocin.• Show your friends and family that you love them by touching them affectionately. You can hug your parents, throw an arm around a friend or cuddle up with your partner.😊What are the limitations of these hormones?*****Hormones are effective, but they do have their limitations. The effects of endorphins are only temporary. If you have had a fight with someone for example, exercising will make you feel better for a while, but until you sort out the fight your unhappiness will keep returning. Oxytocin is a great way to build a relationship, but common sense dictates that you can't love and trust everyone you meet or you will be the victim of several scams. Too much dopamine is unhealthy, since it can cause addictions.source: internetRajabala

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
 Rageshree Sengupta
 21 April 2019

The concept of facing mental health problems and seeking help for them in India is highly tabooed. I have had a hard time processing this. In a diverse country like, differently able people, the LGBTQ and so on are not respected and sometimes even condemned. It is an irony in itself, isn't it? Some of the words people use are 'Cursed' or 'Paying for sins in their last birth'. I think mental health patients face a similar problem. People think you don't have a strong character the moment you mention your problem.Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an important concept in psychology and sociology. The events that lead to the disorder are as follows:1. Stressor: directly experiencing a traumatic incident; second hand by police, counselors etc; learning that someone close has experienced trauma.2. Intrusion in memory: keep thinking about it; flashbacks and nightmares.3. Changes in attitude: nothing seems enjoyable anymore; eating too much or too less; feeling of isolation; lack of participation in activities; negative feelings about everything and everyone.4. Avoidance and Reactions:saying no to parties and getting together; irritated by little things; difficulty concentrating, difficulty sleeping at night; suicide attempts; panic attacks. If these symptoms persist for more than a month, it is PTSD and it needs treatment. The following events can cause trauma in an individual:Childhood issues; divorce and disputes in family; sexual assault or rape; witnessing death of loved ones- accident, suicide or war and so on.Many are not aware of the various treatments for people diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. First and foremost, we need to be there for such and give them  love and support when they facing such problems without overwhelming them with too much attention. Some of the treatments are listed below:1. Selective Serotonin Re uptake Inhibitors (SSRI)- induces positive thoughts, also called 'happy neuro-transmitters'.2. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- assistance provided by a mental health therapist to recover from trauma in a healthy and effective way.3. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)- relatively new psychotherapy treatment to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.Information source:http://theoaktreatment.com Thank you for reading;) Have a nice day.

When back in April 2019 I got great response from organisers of such a great award ceremony, i didn't have any idea that I shall get such a great response and support even being a visually impaired and Today I am delighted to be part of such fond memories here in sinaia in Romania that is a prominent cultural hub and provide phenomenal cultural eminence. To present a basic outline, This ceremony is for prize distribution of Awards for European Poetry championship of 2019 but It shall also represent some book launches, official moments, musical events and touring hot spots and hence it is going to be historic for sure. It generally established itself in early beginning from press note of the official organisers, the launch of the festival anthology and musical performances of two famous Italian names that make it a cracker. And from there on things started to span out in phenomenal colour and response that were certainly delightful to be part of as a great legacy. Further on more official steps took place, people from various countries introduced to each other and it was formal mood in it's early beginning from 1400 hours on 4th of may 2019 on it's first opening day for sure. Once that was done it was time for Writer's colloquiums on first historic day and that is what I looked for as a poet or author attending such meet at large. Generally here has to be four different colloquium sessions in which 1st has been devoted to the Balcan touch including writers from prominent countries, second is focused upon countries that are closer to Russian federation, third goes on with writers from big european countries to act upon and the last one has been with Immigrent countries which are popular but not belong to Europe with their writers getting chance. And hence it is a great environment for a visually impaired author like me to meet with all of them and make the most of such great award ceremony that shall go on for 2 days. Now coming to the four sessions that were very high of standard and where I really appreciated the way response was available to have most of it- such sessions had general theme divided in four different subsessions and certain countries were going to take part diversely by their own strides in different forms of literature represented by their writers that was going to make it a great one for sure. The first session had Balcan countries in focus and countries like Servia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Romania, Bulgaria and Montenegro were on stage where they presented Poetry as their core focus and thrilled us with great percentage of performance. Once they had done in the first session and photo clicks were taken, The countries that has closer affinity to Russian heartland came to stage including Albania, Azarbaizan, Bellarous, Moldavia, Poland and Sweedon and they took story writing as their core presentation to respond which was also exciting to listen out and have great response. Once their impact has been covered the 'Big ticket nations' of Europe took centre stage including England, Germany, Italy, Luxoumberg, Turkey and Mesidonia and their plays were phenomenal to watch that made it a cracker. Finally the Immigrant nation came to fourfront at the last session including Iraq, israel, India and Kroetia represented them as nation observing the core discussion where these four nations discussed the existence of writing, why it is valuable and how to present the core intensity to save writing culture which was a great experience altogether. Ultimately the evening was over with laughter and jokes amongst newly made friends, the joy was on great glow and the moment of award ceremony was coming closer as the next day was approaching for which we all have to wait one more day and the prominent galore shall come to impact very soon. The first day ended with the local vegetarian feast for we who like it the most, photo clicks amongst all the representatives from all countries and it was almost phenomenal knowing so many people from Europe for me as a visually impaired author that made the day. Though there is one more glorious day coming, It was a day I shall remember for long as a person. And by shaking hands all around, knowing that more trust has been gained and with more respect for each other we went to our places of stay and it was over for the moment of it with patience for the next day of office of culture coming at large...

The beginning of the second day started normally with cool fashion with all prominent people greeting each other, officials welcoming writers of all 21 nations with smiles and handing on schedule of the day to take on, And it was going to be one more day of fun, galore and happy smiles all along. It kicked off with the Honorary directors, organisers and other people being honoured for their service, their short gratitude and explaination of the role they have handed in such time so well, and their wishes to all who have come to represent expecting that preservation of culture in writing shall go on which was agreed by all of us. Once that was done, the proceeding started and it was field adventure to come on where some local sites across Andree Pension, Castelel peles and other local areas were introduced and their impact was explained by the guiding experts while we were observing them that helped the early start to be a prominent one. In such exploration it was great to know the Historic medieval tradition of Romanesque pillars, the way people used to preserve Candle cultures in marvel stones, The way fountation measurement was applied for water management system by early modern Romanian ruling groups and We also came to know the way things were applied in historic fashion. Besides we got the oppurtunity to look after cultural pillars that stand tall inside Castelel Peles and we got the oppurtunity to touch the prime Royal Amblem, the cultural symbol of peace of arts, and we felt great to have it's experience as explained by the guides along side us. Once that was accomplished, we got back into our cabs, took the oppurtunity to reach cafeteria to have vegetarian lunch and it was time approaching now when things would become formal as well as People would have to go back. But the exploration was great in all respects while visiting such hot spots and touring them made it so special after observing such traditions in such great way. Once our outyard adventures have got over, We had lunch, and have been enjoying each other company Thence we decided to take a short experience note with journalists present about the trips in local areas and the writers/poets from all 21 countries took their positions on 6 different podiums inside explaining their experiences altogether. After the experiences and feedbacks were done, things started to get more formal and one more confrence was planned by the organisers but this time not in separate subsessions but in one whole group structure involving all and it took place on the second town hall integral place. Here we all as authors/poets gathered to discuss the future of creative writing and this confrence's main aim was to discuss that what may be the plans to protect the writing culture? How to save it for the next generations? And in what way right steps can be decided? It went all well for around 3 hours with participation, enthusiasm and great thought process of all the writers providing feedbacks for what can be done and how things can be affective and I listened out, argued with some and enjoyed it a lot for sure. And once it was over the final proceedings were on show coming very close now reminding me again of the past happiness of World poetry championship award receiving and I guess this time the process was going to be same one, though the Award ceremony has been much different than that with it's title which suits the best, and I now awaited hoping to have more great fond memories at large. it was time for the last proceeding now and It was as mentioned in above lines has to be the award ceremony where all writers, jury members, associates, guests and prominent names were settled according to their names, places and position waiting for their name calls and receive such prestigious honour. I was only told on the early momentum of 1st day that an award known as 'Best Asian community poet' award has been confirmed in relative to me and I held my breath waiting for the right time. In the beginning the most high ranked officials, organisers and deligates were first called to receive their honours one by one. Once they were over the members of Jury from Europe were called to receive their awards on basis of their literary ranks. Then the official leaders of certain countries were called upon to gain, oblige and receive such prominent awards on basis of their literary standards. And after that all honorary process was over,  thence our numbers came by to get the honours done by receiving our prestigious awards on basis of our commendable performances in field of literature. We were seated according to the alphabetical order on basis of sir name and I seated myself behind Pane, Panoe and Panser waiting for my turn which was not far and meanwhile other honorary writers have started to get the awards I engaged myself holding Mango shake aloft as well as enjoying Veg muffin and once the name was called it was great to settle. I went to stage supported by a volunteer, received the honorary trophy, saved it in my bag, spoke for 5 minutes on transition of Technology for creative writing and didn't extend my hand for the prize money as I have discussed earlier with the award giving committee that the fund should go for the weakened Literary families of Balcan community. And a smile on my face I shook hands with the honour giving members, had some photo clicks with them and Ultimately it was over for me. But it was not all over yet, other remaining writers/poets were receiving their awards and My newly made friends continue to crack jokes while we enjoyed Mango shakes all along, thus once the last alphabet 'Z' was over Thence the award ceremony had come to the close. At the end of all such formalities, the key organisers came to the stage once more and presented their analyses of whole 2 days as the contributory moment of the Validictory function explaining how things went, where they wish to improve more, and how management went through with great support of all of us. Once that was done, night crackers went high into the sky, the memory has almost converged to a glorious one, And with smile all around us the 2 day European Poetry Championship award ceremony was over at large...

Best Yoga Practices To Prepare Your Body For Trekking
 Manmohan Singh
 13 May 2019

The article talks about some of the best Yoga exercises that are good for preparing the body for trekking.Trekking and Yoga are related in many ways. Both are highly fascinating to practice, filled with tons of beautiful memories. Rejuvenation of the mind, body, and soul is a common element of Yoga and trekking. All over the world, many trekkers enjoy the delight of the ancient science to boost their chance of succeeding on the trekking trails. Whether you are planning a trekking tour in Nepal or aspiring for a journey in the Alps, Yoga is the best way, to begin with. Even embracing Yoga during the tour can be extremely enjoying.Let’s talk about some of the most effective Yoga poses that help you prepare the body and mind for trekking.Ardha-UtkatasanaLet’s begin with the advanced version of Chair Pose. Ardha-Utkatasana is one of the finest ways to boost the strength of your legs and thighs muscles. Also known as the Standing Figure Four, the asana is practiced on one leg. While one foot is perfectly placed on the ground, the other leg finds itself on the knee. Although bending down in this position needs a lot of effort, it can be easily possible with regular practice. Balance is the key in both - the practice of Ardha-Utkatasana and Trekking.NatarajasanaThe vibrancy of Natarajasana can be understood by the fact that it is the cosmic dance form of Lord Shiva. Being a perfect practitioner of this asana means you are able to perform all kinds of physical activities. During the one-legged asana, the left toe is held by the left hand in the air while the right arm extends parallel to the ground. You should repeat the practice on the other side to complete the exercise. The practice tones almost all body parts and helps the body enjoy tremendous stability.ChakrasanaWelcome flexibility in your life to succeed as a trekker of the utmost level. Chakrasana is all about crossing the limits of the body and applying it to make a person internally strong. The whole body is in a circle-like position with the palms and toes balancing the body. The abdomen remains at the top during the asana. The asana is one of the finest ways to boost the flow of blood throughout the body. It also tones almost all muscles and bones of the body in the process.BakasanaBakasana is known as Crow pose, thanks to its imitation as a crow. The pair of palms holds the body weight while the body recoils in the air. Place your knees on the arms while making sure the buttocks are at the top. The exercise gives a lot of confidence to the practitioner, since it is not an easy task to hold the body on the palms. That mixture of power, confidence, and audacity can be the most important thing to have while trekking.Prasarita PadottanasanaPlace your feet wide apart (approx 2-3 ft) to indulge in a beautiful physical exercise that every avid trekker and hiker should practice. Bend in the forward direction to place the head on the mat. Make sure the knees don't bend in the process. Put your palms on the mat on either side of the head. It is an extremely amazing asana for getting prepared for a difficult level trek like Everest Base Camp Trek and GR 20.PadmasanaAt the end of a physical task, you need to relax. You want a moment or two of quietude in life to calm yourself down. Padmasana is probably the most astonishing way to relax and pacify your mind. The reason that makes Lotus Pose holds the upper hand over other restful exercises is that it comes with the additional benefit of stretching various body muscles. Just by sitting in Padmasana, one can feel complete silence as well as spinal strengthening. Chanting a few mantras helps you attain the state of soulfulness.

The dark hovered over. Her heartbeats palpitated. Fear took  over face. Her voice as conversation tripped a long time, mobile battery getting run out. She behaved like a child. She feared of dashing air force, jerking window pane, she scared of insects, she tried to ward off scared  insects in rambling all around rooms. Awhile light went off. Power cut off. Dark hovered over the room. Lighting struck. Cloud floating, rain dashing over roofs. Lights flashes, dashed all over door. She was a lonely creature in the room. Her contact with husband trailed away, disconnected.mobile battery run out. She fumbled and forward in dark to find candle near window side. In dim flash of lighting she found it. She struck match, and burnt candle. Flames of candle moved here and there due to wind force. The flickering of candle flames made her comfort. She made her way toward her marriage album photo. She fingers her hand. Flapped page one by one and lost into old member ed, her heart brought old memory of marriage. She dreamed,.rolled and reeled before eye ;her eyes grew dark circle hovering over,....flickering image dancing before her eyes unable to sleep her. Jerking and hissing movement of air. The breaking sound of lighting added to nuisance to her.Rainwater leaked through the roof. Dripping continued. Made  a sound of drip-drip…..!!!.enabled her sleep into night lonely. Dripping through house wall. She put   up utensil on the dripping point..it created horror sound that it scared her. Tinkling sound unable to sleep. Then she put aside utensil and remains   dripping continued instead. It was difficult to pass the whole night by lonely. The crawling insect made her life (miserable) than any other incident. She did not use to it before. The short term visitor crawling at night room when light went off. Whole room looked like a dungeon. They made their way through door scuttling side to prey upon insects. In between suddenly, candle put on the window side blown off with a gushing force. She fumbled in   search of matchbox. It found out of stock only remaining two sticks. Match box sticks run out in her fruitless two try. Room became dark house and residue of insect home. In sudden she falls off over floor unconscious mood. She got fits and dizzy feel. In flip moment went into dreamed;in deep sleep, she dreamed of her husband, and she clutched in her fist. She gripped hard. She placed her whole body over it. Clutched to chest. Twisted and squeezed it. In struggle movement she got bite.but she did not unlatch it. Caught hard unroll last sigh in her life.Following morning when neighbour came to rescue her from unlock door ,she found lying over floor unconscious; and beside album and What seen unbelievable in her hand clutched to chest.’ A snake hood’ strangled to death. They admitted her nearby hospital. She diagnosed snake bite Mark.. She went through unconscious since a month. She took a month to recover from that scary August night....End.......

only bigger second to Quiz world cup, and showshow great this royal tournament has been for the VI people. In this way organisations are many who are behind the scene and also BBC networks Community channelcovers the tournament, like it does the Quiz world cup, thence the way things span out and authoritiesarrange great platforms both for stay and hospitality, and all are helpful that makes it a great one.As far the legacy of being champion to such a grand tournament is concerned, the home country havetaste of winning it twice and besides England, Belgium, Norway, Spain and Austria have also in 2019 inleadership of champion Mr. saurabh Pant from nainital with a very strong team lineup, they may wish tofulfil their will to win this tournament making the mark.In context of the process of the tournament, there are certain rounds by which the challenging teams haveto go through and as the days go by team count starts to thin and some of the best remain to combat thebest moment to Okinawa: A trip to relax in nature's lap

Usually, I am the kind of person who is very much attached to his/her personalized room and don't feel comfortable in any other setup. And that is the reason why I avoid trips which requires me to stay in hotels or Airbnb. But, recently I discovered something new about me. In fact, just two weeks back, I, with my friends decided to visit Okinawa (a prefecture in Japan). Okinawa is considered as one of the blue zones in the world. We booked our flights, reserved resorts, packed some of our vegetarian food (some times it's difficult to get vegetarian food in Japan especially if you are not in Tokyo) and started our journey. As per the government norms, Wednesday is considered as no overtime day in Japan so that day, you get the privilege of leaving the office early. So we started our journey on Wednesday evening. Our itinerary was such that we could get enough time to relax instead of just touching every single tourist places. Generally, it is recommended to have a driving license and rent a car to roam around in Okinawa. But since none of us was having an international driving license so we prepared an itinerary to visit those places which can be reached by bus or ship. The best part of traveling in Japan is that you can rely on Google Maps. Okinawa is surrounded by ocean and located in the south, so the place is a bit humid and hot compared to Tokyo (you don't need to wear shrugs or jackets during the spring season).Day 1And the very first day itself weather wanted us to roam in blue and yellow raincoats as it was a kind of rainy day with a thunderstorm (very common in Japan). After getting ready and wearing the nice dress we had to put on raincoats...it was nature's order we can't help it.Okinawa world (Theme park)The moment I stepped into the cave, I was wonderstruck by the beauty of nature and effort of Japanese sculptors who would have carved down that cave. It recalled me of class 6th geography when we had studied about calcium deposits referred to as stalactites and stalagmites. At that time, I used to think that whether in my life will I be able to see these in real or not? And see, it happened! The cave was quite long and it was conveniently designed with proper lightings and pathways so that people can roam around and enjoy the beautiful formations. You can watch some hot springs also running on one side of the cave. I felt like I am in a palace which has been specially designed for tourism but no, all these structures were formed naturally. Nature is beyond our imagination. Just for your information, it takes 3 years for a stalactite to grow by 1 mm.  Also, if you are a person who likes beer then you are most welcome in Okinawa to have a sip of "Habu" snake sake (beer) :P                                                         Snake sake as omiyage (souvenir)!Day 2We started from Naha in the early morning so as to reach Motobu before noon.Emerald Beach (in Motobu)Forenoon and the beautiful beach sounds an amazing combination no?! I don't have any word to explain the beauty of white sand and blue seawater, you can see it by yourself.Meeting the Japanese standard of cleanliness, the beach was extremely clean and beautiful with the spread of white sand underneath the blue seawater, shining like the bed of emerald in the sunlight. I felt that I could spend my days and nights just sitting beside the sea, enjoying the view and listening to the sound of waves hitting the shore (only if I get paid for doing so :P).Churaumi AquariumThis aquarium is considered to have the world's second-largest water tank. This was my second visit to any aquarium, so for me, it was amazing to see small colorful fishes, coral reefs and big fish like a whale shark. You can see a wide variety of aquatic animals here or in fact, you will discover some new aquatic animals which may not be known to you till the date..that is what happened with us.Also, there are some open areas where you can touch small fishes like starfish. You can feel the hard stone-like stiff body of starfish. And, if you are at the correct time then you may get an opportunity to watch the feeding show. Basically, you can see how they feed 55000 kg whale shark by the filter-feeding method. There were many shows but because of time constraints, we couldn't cover up all the shows. The last thing to watch that day was the Dolphin show. I feel that Dolphins are not just fish but they are the sweetest and cheerful creature among aquatic animals. If you are feeling tired or low just get a ticket to the nearby aquarium and watch the dancing Dolphins. Dolphins are like drama queen only, they will definitely cheer you up and seeing their dance and act, you will definitely burst into laughter.Day 3We had kept this day especially to cover up some of the famous beaches which were on the way from Motobu to Naha. Though because of the rain and thunderstorm, we skipped a few and preferred to stay inside the bus.Cape ManzanoAgain, the clean dark blue water hitting the rocks to carve out a beautiful structure. Till that day, I had seen blue water only in painted sceneries, which used to have no relation with real existence. The rock formation near the beach was looking like the head of an elephant. People over there were busy taking photos and selfies while I felt completely lost in paying gratitude to the Creator for such an amazing beautiful creation. I wanted to absorb everything ... the air ... the scenic beauty with blue water, greeneries and rocks all around ... and the mystic sound of waves ...everything was so pacifying to my soul.  At that moment, I wanted to capture all those feelings, senses and emotions in my memory forever. After Cape Manzano, we roam around a few other beaches before taking our final bus to Naha. Thus the closing evening of the trip passed away. We reached Naha airport and took our flight back to Tokyo. Once again continuing life in between skyscrapers. My one-liner for Okinawa  -  Amazingly beautiful place to relax in the lap of nature! My learning -  It is a foolish idea to judge something without exploring it because you never know what transformation can happen next. I discovered that I had a wrong perception about myself and I love long-duration trips. These trips give you the opportunity to create more memories to cherish upon and to daydream sitting in front of your computer at the office desk.Message - Steal a few days from your busy schedule, pack your bags and start your journey to explore yourself.

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.19
 Dhwani Shah
 16 July 2019

Present Moment - In Gita Verse 2.19 Neither he who thinks the living entity the slayer nor he who thinks it slain is in knowledge, for the self slays not nor is slain. This verse can be conveyed in two words - Present Moment - the person who is not in the present but either in past or in the future is in the mind, knowledgeable but not wise. Following the words but not using his intelligence.Present, neither knows the past, because it is no more, nor does it know the future, because it is not yet. But the mind is always concerned either with the past or the future, never with the present. When you are in present moment, you transcend, you are using your logical mind as servant, but logical mind cannot use you.Right now Arjuna is servant of logical mind, he becomes very convincing, but not ready to return back to present moment. Present moment brings responsibility. You can escape from your responsibility when you are knowledgeable, in past or future. To end the misery that has afflicted the human condition for thousands of years, you have to start with yourself and take responsibility for your inner state at any given moment. That means present moment.Life is not as complicated as our minds lead us to believe.Existence is only in the present. The mind is never in the present. In fact, the moment you are in the present, there is no mind; instead, there is only a great silence. The whole sky of your inner being is without thoughts, without clouds.” In fact, the present is not a time at all. It is for our convenience that we have created divisions – past, present, and future. But, if we look at this realistically, it appears that past and future can be in time, but the present is eternal. It is the very existence. Past and future are definitely not a part of existence. They can never be. In one of his verses, Kabir questions the search of seekers and gives a beautiful insight – that the Lord can be found in this very moment: Khoji hoye turat mil jaau, ek pal ki hi talaash mein.Kabir says: If you are a true seeker, you can at once find, in this very moment of seeking. You do not need a blueprint of planning; you do not need to think of searching in the future. Kabir is emphasising on living in the moment with awareness and with everything that is present in that moment. The easiest way to live in the present is to watch our mind carefully. If the mind moves ahead thinking about the future, let it. Don’t think why it happened, or else we will drag our mind into a situation which is no more present and again becomes the past. This struggle could kill the very fragrance of the present moment.Capture the MomentThe moment we drop the planning, the goal, we are living in the here and now. Planning is always in the future. The blissfulness, the feeling of godliness is always in the present. Even enlightenment is in the present, because enlightenment is not the goal. Once this acceptance arises in the heart, it becomes clear that living in the past and the future is a huge mistake. Our past is overburdened with memories, and the future is loaded with imagination. Although we are living in this moment, our mind is constantly creating a world of its own – a castle of dreams for the future – and in the process, the beautiful present slips away. The irony of life is that our mind only knows past and future. The present is like a nonexistent phenomenon. Our effort in this meditative journey should be how to get out of the mind. Live in our subjectivity.Arjuna is daydreaming about the future? He is daydreaming about the future because he is unconscious about the present. If for a moment he become conscious of present, immediately he will realize what is his assignment of the universe. In his consciousness he knew that, right now his consciousness is clouded with unconsciousness and knowledge.Krishna specifically used the word knowledge because with that Arjuna’s ego will get hurt and in that pain he will be able to create the separation. As I have wrote in my blog Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.17, when you are hurt or miserable how we can become separate from our misery.

Rakshabandan – Renewal of Memories
 Josephine N
 18 July 2019

Rakshabandan is nearing. I usually don’t celebrate but have tied few Rakhis to guys during School and College days. But now I don’t feel like tying Rakhi to anyone, after certain age I would not like to explicitly celebrate but would experience.Every year when Rakshabandan arrives, one person always run on my mind, my colleague. She is in different project. We started talking to each other during lunch and then started having lunch together, going for walk, or having coffee at evening. One day I was outside my office premise, ready to take bus, saw her coming from the opposite side of the road. Seeing me, she said, “I had gone to check the charge to courier Rakhi for my brother but they are charging too high, I will check some other Courier in my area”. Then we said bye and parted to our routes.Knowing her for few years, I got to know, every Rakshabandan, her sister in law would come with family to her place. My colleague, would be the most busiest person on that day, she will be preparing meals – starters, main course, dessert. They all celebrate together. She is used to this routine for years now. Once I asked her, “Don’t you wish to go to your home during Rakshabandan?”. She replied, “I would love to but being here is also important”. May be deep down, she wants to go to her home once during Rakshabandan but she has accepted and celebrate the day with her family.I always hope to hear a different story about Rakshabandan from her. Till then, every year, Rakshabandan will always remind me of my colleague who make this celebration a memorable one for her family!!

Bhagavad Gita Verse 2.23
 Dhwani Shah
 20 July 2019

Eternity - In Gita Verse 2.23 The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind. Now Krishna in this verse says regarding Subjectivity, Soul, which cannot be affected by anything.Which is - The Eternity of Your Being:To live as an awareness: awareness of all the programs the mind has been conditioned for, awareness of all the impulses, desires, memories, imaginations… all that the mind can do.One has to be not part of it, but separate - seeing it but not being it - watching it. And this is one of the most essential things to remember, that you cannot watch your watchfulness. If you watch your watchfulness, then the watcher is you, not the watched. So you cannot go beyond watchfulness. The point that you cannot transcend is your being. The point that you cannot go beyond is you. You can watch very easily any thought, any emotion, any sentiment. Just one thing you cannot watch - and that is your watchfulness. And if you manage to watch it, that means you have shifted: the first watchfulness has become just a thought; now you are the second watcher. You can go on shifting back, but you cannot get out of watchfulness because it is you: you cannot be otherwise. So, “Just be yourself,” Means, “Just be unprogrammed, unconditioned awareness.” That’s how you had come into the world, and that’s how the enlightened person leaves the world. He lives in the world but remains totally separate. One of the great mystics, Kabir, has a beautiful poem about it. All his poems are just perfect - nothing can be better. One of his poems says, “I will give back the soul that was given to me at the time of my birth as pure, as clean, as it was given to me. I will give it back that way when I die.” He is talking about awareness, that it has remained unpolluted. The whole world was there to pollute it, but he has remained watchful. All that you need is just to be watchful, and nothing will affect you. This unaffectedness will keep your purity, and this purity has certainly the freshness of life, the joy of existence - all the treasures that you have been endowed with. But you become attached to the small things surrounding you and forget the one that you are. It is the greatest discovery in life and the most ecstatic pilgrimage to truth. And you need not be an ascetic, you need not be anti-life; you need not renounce the world and go to the mountains. You can be where you are, you can continue to do what you are doing. Just a new thing has to be evolved: whatever you do, you do with awareness - even the smallest act of the body or the mind - and with each act of awareness you will become aware of the beauty and the treasure and the glory and the eternity of your being. Also same thing can be said by different words so we can understand it.Soul has no beginning and no end, it is eternity:Soul has no beginning and no end. It is eternity, and that is God’s gift. God has given himself in the gift, because soul is God. All that is needed is a certain awakening in your heart so you can see it, feel it, taste it, touch it. The gift has been waiting and waiting for you for thousands of years, but you have been asleep, as everybody has been.Unless you want to wake up, unless an intense longing to wake up arises in you, no possible help can be given from the outside. But if you want to be awakened then all possible help is available. It cannot be imposed on you; your freedom cannot be interfered with. With your cooperation the thing is very simple…But if you are not cooperating then it is the most impossible thing in the world; then nothing can be done.Arjuna has to become an awakening. Arjuna has do nothing but a great effort to wake himself up.Right now Krishna is shaking up Arjuna up, again and again and Arjuna is going back to his sleep.

When going off on a vacation, you have an assortment of choices for places to reside. You could stay in a budget to a luxury hotel or a resort, or you can easily choose Villa Rentals. In today’s blog, we’d be glad to point out some of the top 4 benefits that go along with Villa Rentals.1. More PrivacyWhen you’re off on a vacation to an exotic destination, all you want is to be able to completely relax. Time and again, it’s hard to do that at a hotel or resort. You have other family’s kids running through the halls, neighbors from the adjacent rooms making noise much to your annoyance, and much more. Choosing to stay in villas on rent instead offers you a lot more solitude and serenity. Instead of staying with your family members in a small hotel room, you can stretch out across the house. With villas on rent, you can each have your personal bedroom, giving out complete privacy from even your own family or relatives when you require it.2. More SpaceThe size of the majority of the hotel rooms is often quite small. To accommodate around four people in there, with just one bathroom, can be quite hassle for a long vacation. Endow yourself more space to stretch out by choosing villas for rent. When you go for villas for rent, you will not only be provided by several bedrooms to laze around in, but you will also get a full kitchen, get-together areas such as the dining room and lavish living room, and best of all a private outdoor entertainment area with deck or patio, private pool and marvellous views!3. More Personal ServiceWhile some hotels and resorts may have in-house team of personal service providers, you won’t get the same quality of personal service and complete attention there that you will get when you hire villas with pools.By renting villas with pools, you get additional benefits of in-house chefs and housekeepers who ensure that all your requirements during your stay is fulfilled and you can engage yourself in making memories.4. More ValueWhen you decide to stay in a hotel or resort, you get beds and a bathroom and that’s it. What about luxuries beyond a room? When you choose to stay in villa with private pool, you’re receiving a lot more value for money. From the additional space to relax to the availability of personal amenities (not a shared pool that you find at a resort), a villa with private pool gives you an amazing value. Not to mention villas that offer gorgeous views of the Sea or hilly terrains! Combine all that with the luxury services and you won’t find better accommodations than that in villas. To start planning your weekend getaway, give villas on rent a call. We’re here to make your dream of an exclusive vacation a reality in the picturesque paradise we call home! When you decide to stay with us, you can anticipate only the top-class property and best service standards. We look forward to serving you and making your vacation experience a memorable one!
