દશ દેશનો પ્રવાસ બાઇક પર-યુગ્મા દેસાઇ

યુગ્માનો એક પ્રયત્ન પ્રેરણાદાયી -મનીષા જોબન દેસાઈ travelstory.પ્રવાસ વર્ણન...યુગ્મા જોબન દેસાઇ નો એક પ્રયત્ન પ્રેરણાદાયી - 10 નેશન બાઈકિંગ રાઇડમમ્મી પપ્પા મમ્મી ...'અરે શું થયું ?એકદમ ઉત્સાહમાં છે ને ?કોઈ નવો આઇડીઆ ઈન્ટીરીયરનાં પ્રોજેક્ટનો સુઝ્યો કે શું ?'મારી દીકરી યુગ્મા આવીને એની નવી એક્ટિવિટીની વાત કરી .લંડન ભણવા ગયી હતી અને ઇન્ટરિયર તથા પ્રોડકટ ડિઝાઇનનો કોર્ષ કરી અમારી ઓફિસમાં સાથે ઇંટીરિયરની પ્રેક્ટિસ શરુ કરી અને ધીરે ધીરે પોતાના કામ પણ હેન્ડલ કરવા માંડયા હતા.આમ રૂટિન લાઈફ જઈ રહી હતી અને 'બાઈકિંગ કવિન' ગ્રુપમાં જોડાવાની ઇચ્છા થઇ. ઓકે ,મને એમ કે બાઈકનું ગ્રુપ બનાવી કઈ ફન ક્લબ પાર્ટી જેવું હશે .ધીરે ધીરે પ્રેકટીસ માં જતી .મને કઈ ખાસ ખ્યાલ નહિ આવ્યો પણ બધા બાઈકિંગના ફ્રેન્ડ્સ દેખાવા માંડયા .8-10 મહિનાથી જોઈન્ટ થઇને બાઈકની પ્રેકટીશ કરતી .અને પહેલી વાર બાઈક લઈને બહારગામનો પ્રોગ્રામે બન્યો એટલે મને ચિંતા થવા લાગી .ટ્રફિક હોય અને હાઇ-વે પર જવાનું ....જાત જાતનાં વિચારો આવી ગયા પછી મારી દીકરી યુગ્માએ એનાં ગ્રુપમાં 50 મેમ્બર્સ છે અને બધા ગ્રુપમાં જઈએ છે એમ કહ્યું અને ગ્રુપ એડમીન ર્ડો.સારિકા મહેતાનાં માઉન્ટનિન્ગ અને બાઈક રાઇડિંગની ગાઈડન્સ અને એક્સપિરિયન્સની સાથે યુગ્માએ લગભગ 8-10 મહિનામાં સાપુતારા -આબુ -મુંબઈ દમણ વગેરે જગ્યા એ ગ્રુપ રાઈડ કરી અનેપછી પોતાનું ktm બાઈક ખરીદ્યું.સમય મળે એટલે બાઇક લઇ પ્રેકટીસમાં નીકળી જાય અને ફીટનેસ માટે પણ વધુ એલર્ટ થઇ.સતત વરસતા વરસાદમાં ડુમ્મસની રાઇડ કરે.એની ઘગશ જોઇ અને અમે પણ સાથ આપ્યો અને મનોમન સુરક્ષીત રાઇડની પ્રાર્થના કરતાં.હવે અમને બધાને ખ્યાલ આવી ગયો કે યુગ્મા ખુબ સિરિયસલી બાઈક રાઈડમાં આગળ વધુ ટુર કરવા માંગે છે.સ્કૂલમાં હતી ત્યારે બેડમિન્ટન રમતી અને ટૂરનામેન્ટમાં પણ પાર્ટ લેતી .પહેલેથી એને બેસી રહેવાનું નહિ ગમે .કંઈ ને કંઈ એક્ટિવિટી કરે અને ગ્રુપમાં પણ સરળતાથી ભળી જાય .ખુબ સાહસિક સ્વભાવ .સાથે મારા દીકરા પ્રથમ અને એની વાઈફ ઉર્જાનો પણ ખુબ સપોર્ટ .અમે ગભરાઈ જઈએ એટલે અમને બધી વાત નહિ કરે .બાઈકિંગ કવિન ગ્રુપમાં પહેલા સમગ્ર ભારતની ટુર વિષે વિચાર કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો .પછી યુગ્માં અને બીજા મેમ્બર્સ માનનીય પ્રાઈમ મિનિસ્ટર શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદી અને મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી આનંદીબેન નું સૂત્ર "બેટી બચાવો ,બેટી પઢાઓ" ગ્રુપમાં પણ મેમ્બર હતા અને એ મેસેજ બાઈક રાઈડ કરી સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં ફેલાવાનો વિચાર કર્યો .આખા ગ્રુપમાંથી ચાર ગુજરાતી યુવતીઓ 10 દેશના પ્રવાસે એટલે કે નેપાળથી સીંગાપોર બાઈક રાઈડ કરી ને જશે એવું નક્કી થયું અને એમાં યુગ્માની પણ પસંદગી થઇ .હું અને મારા હસબન્ડ આર્કિટેક્ટ જોબન દેસાઈ બંને ખુશ પણ થયા પણ અંદરથી ખુબ ચિંતા થતી હોય .કાર રાઈડ હોય તો સેફટી ,પણ બાઈકમાં ગમે તેટલો સપોર્ટ કે સુરક્ષા આપે પણ વ્યક્તિએ પોતે જ બેલેન્સ જાળવવાનું અને એકલાજ નિર્ણયો લેવાના , અજાણ્યા રસ્તાઓ ,વગેરે વિચારો આવવા લાગ્યા .પણ ટીમ એટલી મક્કમ હતી અને નક્કી થયાનાં બે એક મહિનામાં તૈયારી શરુ કરી દીધી .સુરતની ડાયમંડ કંપનીઓ ,ટેક્ષટાઇલ,સ્કૂલ સંસ્થાઓએ આ અદભુત આઈડિયાને બિરદાવ્યો અને સ્પોન્સર કર્યા .એક મહિના પહેલા સાદો ખોરાક અને એક્સરસાઇઝ વગેરેથી ફિટનેસ એક્સરસાઇઝ પણ શરુ કરી દીઘી .સાથે સામાન ,ફૂડ ,કાર ટેકનિકલ પર્સન ,રોડ ગાઈડ અને ડોકયુમેન્ટરી ફોટોગ્રાફરની ટિમ વગેરે એક કાર સતત ટુરમાં સાથે રહેવાની હતી અને 'Ten nation baiking ride "નો રોડ મેપ પણ આવી ગયો એ જોઈ અમને તો બહુ જ ટેન્શન થઇ ગયું .પણ યુગ્મા અને ટિમનાં બધા મેમ્બર્સની હિમ્મત અને તૈયારીઓ પુરજોશમાં ચાલી રહી હતી.ચાલીસ દિવસ અને 10000 કી.મી.ની રાઈડ કરવાની અને દરેક દેશમાં ત્યાંના વડાપ્રધાન વગેરે સાથે મિટિંગ કરી' બેટી બચાવો બેટી પઢાવો 'ના કન્સેપટ વિષે વાતો કરવાની અને સંદેશ ત્યાં પણ વિસ્તારપૂર્વક સમજાવવાનો .દક્ષીણ -પૂર્વ એશિયાનાં મહત્વનાં દેશો જેનો ભારતથી જવાનો રૂટ નવો ખુલ્યો હતો અને આ બાઈકિંગ કવીન્સનું પહેલું સાહસ હતું જે આ રૂટ પર જવાનાં હતા અને બધા દેશની એન્ટ્રી માટેનાં નિયમો પણ બદલાતા રહેતા હતા .એ બધું ગુગલ પરથી સર્ચ કરતા રહયા અને હેલ્મેટ સાથે વરસાદ અને લાંબો રૂટ તથા બાઈક સાથે નેવિગેટર જોડી રાખવું એવો નિર્યણ થયો પણ બધે જંગલ નો એરિયા અને કાદવકીચડ વાળા રસ્તા ,નેટવર્ક નો મોટો પ્રોબ્લેમ .પણ બધા એક સાથે જ રૂટ પર રહેશું એવું નક્કી કર્યું જેથી એકલા મુસીબતનો સામનો નહિ કરવો પડે .બધી તૈયારી કરતા કરતા સાથે દિલ્હી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીજી ,શ્રી આનંદીબેન પટેલ ,શ્રી અમિતાભ બચ્ચન ,શ્રી સુષમા સ્વરાજ વગેરેના આશીર્વચનો લીધા અને ગવર્મેન્ટ બોડી સાથેના તમામ પ્રશ્નો તથા સમગ આયોજન માટેની મિટિંગો તથા હરેકૃષ્ણ ડાયમંડનાં પરિસરમાં યોજાયેલ શ્રી આનંદીબેન પટેલ દ્વારા ફ્લેગઓફ કાર્યક્રમમાં શ્રી જનકભાઈ બગદાણાવાળાનો ખુબ સહયોગ અને આશીર્વાદ રહયા . સમગ્ર એશિયન મીડિયાનો પણ ખુબ સપોર્ટ રહ્યો .ફ્લેગઓફના દિવસે ચેકર્ડ ફ્લેગ દ્વારા 500 ફ્લેગ્સનો ગિનીઝ બુકનો રેકોર્ડ પણ બન્યો અને 1500 બાઇકસવારે ખુબ ઉત્સાહ ભેર યુગમાં અને ટીમને પ્રવાસની શુભ શરૂઆત કરાવી ,સુરતથી મુંબઈ બાઇક પર ને નેપાળ પ્લેનમાં અને ત્યાંથી બાઈકિંગ કવીન્સની બાઈક સફર શરુ થઇ.તકલીફો ની વાતો કરીયે તો વરસાદે ખુબ હેરાન કર્યા કોઈ પહાડ પાસેથી પસાર થવાનું હોય તો સ્લીપ થઇ જવાનો ડર રહે .ધુમ્મસને કારણે ફાસ્ટ ડ્ાઇવીંગ શક્ય નહોતું .પાણીના વહેણ માંથી પણ પસાર થવાનું રહેતું .એક દિવસ માં 450 કિલોમીટર અંતર કાપવું પડતું .એટલે પણ થોડું ડ્વાઇવીંગ ધીરે કરવું પડતું .મ્યાનમાર પહાંચવામાં કોઈ પરમિશન ના પેપરને લીધે કોહિમા(મણીપુર) રોકાવું પડ્યું અને ત્યાં મિલિટરી કેમ્પનું રમણીય વાતાવરણ અને ફેમિલી ગેધરિંગ જોવાનો મોકો મળ્યો .રોજ સાંજે વૉટ્સએપ પર રેકોર્ડેડ મેસેજ યુગમાં મોકલે અને અમે એને મેસૅજ મોકલીએ .નેપાળ- ભૂતાન-મ્યાનમાર {રંગુન}-વિએટનામ-લાઓસ -થાઈલેન્ડ -કંબોડીયા -મલેશિયા -સિંગાપોર દરેક દેશના પ્રધાનમંત્રી ,વિદેશમંત્રી અને ભારતીય સમાજની મુલાકાત લેતા અને 'બેટી બચાવો બેટી પઢાવો 'ના સૂત્ર અને મહિલા પ્રશ્નો વિષે વિચારોનું આદાન -પ્રદાન કરતા આગળ વધી રહયા હતા .નવી નવી જગ્યાઓ ની રહેણી કરણી ,ઐતિહાસિક ઇમારતો ,મંદિરો વગેરેની પણ વિઝીટ લેતા .ત્યાંની નાની બાલિકાઓની સ્કૂલો વગેરે જોઈ ત્યાંનો ટ્રાફિક અને અજબ ગજબનું જમવાનું ,રહેવાનું વગેરેમાં પણ મક્કમ અને ઉત્સાહિત આગળ વધ્યે જતા હતા.આ પ્રવાસ સુરતની આ ગુજરાતી યુવતીઓ પાર પાડશે એનો વિશ્વાસ જે આપણા દેશવાસી ઓ એ પોતાના સંદેશાઓ દ્વારા પાઠવ્યો હતો એ વિશ્વાસને જાળવી રાખતા દરેક જગ્યા એ વાતો રજુ કરતા ગયા .બાઈક રાઈડ માં નેવિગેટર આપ્યું હોવા છતાં જંગલ અને પહાડ ના રસ્તા ઓ પર નેટવર્ક નો અભાવ હોય ,એમાં બાઈક બગડી જાય તો નજીકના શહેરમાં ટ્રકમાં પહોંચી રહી પડે એથી 40 દિવસ ને બદલે 10 દિવસ વધુ થયા .યુગમાં નો આ પ્રકાર નો પહેલો એડવેન્ચર પ્રવાસ હતો પણ એને બિલકુલ ગભરાયા વગર પાર પાડ્યો.એક વાર પરમિશન આવતા વાર થઇ હોવાને કારણે "નો મેન લેન્ડ'માં 36 કલાક બેસી રહેવું પડ્યું .થાઈલેન્ડ સિંગાપોરના રસ્તા સગવડભર્યા અને સીધા હતા પણ લાંબો રસ્તો વધુ કંટાળાજનક બને ,એટલે હેલ્મેટમાં પોતાની જાત સાથે કુદરતના સાનિધ્યમાં ગીત ગાતા આગળ વધ્યે જતા હતા .જાણે દેશ માટે જંગ પર આવ્યા હોય એવું ફીલ થતું અને એ લોકો ગર્વ પણ અનુભવતા .આ પ્રવાસ દરમિયાન યુગ્માને સુરત અને થાઈલેન્ડનાં શહેર સુરત થાની વિશેની ઐતિહાસિક વાતો જાણવા મળી પ્રવાસ દરમિયાન પોતાના શહેરની એટલી યાદ આવતી હતી એમાં ત્યાં સુરત નામનું શહેર જોઈ એકદમ ઈમોશનલ થઇ ગયા અને થાઈલેન્ડનાં દક્ષિણ પ્રાંતમાં આવેલા એ શહેરની આર્થિક નીતિઓમાં ભગિની શેર બનાવવામાં આવ્યું છે જેથી એ લોકો ફરી સુરતમાં જ હોય એવો નદીકિનારે અનુભવ કર્યો .1915 માં થાઈલેન્ડનાં રાજાએ સુરત શહેરની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી ત્યાંની નદી કુમ કુકિન્ગ નદીનું નામ બદલી તાપી નદી કર્યું હતું .અને આપણા સુરત શહેરનો આવો ભવ્ય ઇતિહાસ જાણયો અને એ સ્થળ પર ઉભા રહી યાદો તાજી કરી લીધી .આમ આગળ વધતા જતા હતા .કોઈનું રસોડું મળે ત્યાં જાતે રસોઈ પણ બનાવી લેતાં.અને રસ્ત બધા બેસીને પીકનીક પણ માનવી લેતા .રાઈડ દરમિયાન 7 વખત લેન્ડસ્લાઇડિંગ થયું હતું .દરેક દેશમાં પાછા ટ્રાફિકનાં નિયમો પણ જુદાજુદા .ક્યાંક લેફ્ટ ચલાવવાનું હોય તો ક્યાંક રાઈટ .અને સખ્ત રીતે નિયમોનું પાલન કરવું પડે .આખરે સિંગાપોરની બોર્ડર પર ભારતીય સમાજ અને પ્રધાનમંત્રી વગેરે દ્વારા ભવ્ય સ્વાગત થયું અને પ્રવાસવર્ણનના પ્રોગ્રામ અટેન્ડ કર્યા. જેમાં પપ્પા જોબન દેસાઈ પણ સિંગાપોર પહોંચી ગયા હોવાથી યુગ્મા આનંદિત થઇ ગઈ .મહિલા મંડળો અને એન. જી .ઓ બધા એ ખુબ અભિનંદન આપ્યા અને અમે દિલ્હી એરપોર્ટ પર યુગમાં અને બધા બાઈકિંગ કવીન્સનું ખુશીના આંસુ સાથે સ્વાગત કર્યું . દિલ્હી માં પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીજી ,શ્રી સુષમા સ્વરાજ ,ગુજરાતના શ્રી પુરુષોત્તમભાઈ રૂપાલા ,શ્રી સી.આર .પાટીલ અને શ્રી દર્શનાબેન જરદોશે સફળ અભિયાન માટે અભિનંદન આપ્યા સાથે પ્રવાસની વિગતો જાણી .દિલ્હીની પ્રેસ કોન્ફેરન્સમાં પણ ખુબ સરસ પ્રશ્રનોત્તરી રહી , દરેક દેશમાંથી મળેલી ભેટોનું પ્રદર્શન રાખ્યું અને મીડિયાનો ખુબ સહયોગ રહ્યો તથા બધાએ આ અનેરા બાઈકિંગ પ્રવાસ માં સુરતની યુવતીઓ ગઈ એનું આશ્રય પણ વ્યક્ત કર્યું પણ યુગ્મા એ જવાબ આપતા કહ્યું 'હું દીકરી છું એવો કોઈ ભેદભાવ મારા ઘરમાંથી રાખવામાં આવ્યો જ નથી અને હું આ નહિ કરી શકું એવું કદી માનતી જ નથી .આપણી હિમ્મત જ આપણને નવી દુનિયાનો પરિચય કરાવે છે અને આ પ્રવાસ દ્વારા હું કેટલું નવું જોઈ જાણી શકી અને મને મારા વ્યક્તિત્વમાં એક નવો ઉત્સાહ નો સંચાર થયો છે .આ અભિયાન અહીંથી સમાપ્ત નથી થતું ,'બેટી બચાવો બેટી પઢાવો' ના કાર્યક્રમ આગળ પણ થતા જ રહેશે અને બાઈક રાઈડ પણ થતી જ રહેશે જરૂર છે ફક્ત મહિલાઓ અને યુવતીઓએ પહેલું પગલું માંડવાની પછી આખી દુનિયા તમારી સાથે જ છે .'સુરત આવ્યા બાદ બધાએ યુગ્માને ખૂબ અભિનંદન આપ્યા અને શહેરનાં ચેમ્બર ઓફ કોમર્સ ,મંડળો ,ક્લબો અને સ્કૂલોમાં યુગ્મા દેસાઈ પોતાનાં બાઈકિંગ ક્વીન રાઈડનાં અનુભવો અને બેટી બચાવો બેટી પઢાવો કાર્યક્રમો કરતા જ રહે છે .મુંબઈનાં સ્માઈલ ફાઉન્ડેશનમાં એબ્યુઝ ગર્લ ચેરિટીના ફેશન શોમાં પાર્ટ લઇ પોતાનાં સામાજિક દાયિત્વ ને નિભાવી રહી છે અને નવા યંગ જનરેશન સાથે યુથ પ્રોગ્રામમાં એક્ટિવેટ રહે છે .બાઈકિંગ ક્વીન અને બેટીબચાવો કાર્યક્રમ માં નવા નવા લોકો જોડાતા જાય છે અને વુમન અવેરનેસ ,સ્વચ્છતા અભિયાન ના સંદેશાઓ સોસીઅલ મીડિયા વગેરેના સહયોગથી બધા સુધી પહોંચાડતા રહે છે.ઇન્ટરનૅશનલ મીડિયા એ પણ ખુબ આ અભિયાનને બિરદાવ્યું અને ten nation રાઈડ દરમિયાન એ દેશોના રાઇડર પણ જોઈન્ટ થયા અને ઈન્ટરનેટ દ્વારા જોડાઈને આ અભિયાનને સતત આગળ વધારી રહયા છે .ફક્ત કોઈ પણ કામ દેખાદેખી કે જીદ ખાતર શરુ નહિ કરવું પણ પોતાની સમજ ,સંજોગો અને આપણો પોતાનો રસ ક્યાં સુધી જળવાઈ રહે છે એ બાળકોને સંસ્થા દ્વારા સમજાવવામાં આવે છે જેથી ખરેખર રસ ધરાવતા યુવાન યુવતીઓ અભિયાનને જીવંત રાખી શકે .અાપણે બધાજ સમાજની અનદેખી સાંકળોથી અને અસુરક્ષીત માહોલનાં ભયથી જકડાયેલા રહીયે છે અને નવા વિચારોને અપનાવતા ગભરાઇએ છે જેથી આપણા બાળકો પણ ઉત્તમ તકોથી વંચિત રહી જાય છે .અલબત્ત , આધુનીકરણ ,ડિજિટલ એપ્રોચ અને સોશીયલ મીડિયાને કારણે માહિતીથી વાકેફ છીએ પણ સાથે દીકરીઓને પોતાની સુરક્ષા અને આજ જગતમાં જીવવાનો પોતાનો માર્ગ બનાવવાની હિંમત અને તક આપવીજ રહી .એક સર્વે પ્રમાણે ભારત દેશ યુવાઓનો દેશ છે આપણી પાસે ઉત્તમ તાકાત અને બ્રેઈન છે જેનો વિકાસ કરવો અને આવનારી પેઢી માટે એક સુમેળભર્યું વાતાવરણ ઉભું કરવું અને એ ધ્યેય આપણે સૌથી પહેલા આપણા ઘરના સભ્યોને શારીરિક અને માનસિક રીતે મજબૂત બનાવી ને જ પર પાડી શકીયે .દરેક વ્યક્તિ બોર્ડર પર જઇ લડી નથી શકવાની પણ સમાજની અંદર જ રહી અસામાજિકતા અને અરાજકતાનો મક્કમપણે સામનો કરવો રહ્યો .આ લેખ દ્વારા એક અત્યંત કઠિન પ્રવાસ માટેનું મનોબળ યુગ્માએ કેળવ્યું અને અમે મક્કમ મને એને સાથ આપવાની હિમ્મત કેળવી તેનું નિરૂપણ શબ્દો અને તસવીરો દ્વારા કર્યું છે .આશા છે દેશનાં યુવાધન પોતાના મનગમતા વિષયો જે ફક્ત ડર અને માહિતીનાં અભાવ કે સપોર્ટનાં અભાવને કારણે અમલમાં મૂકી નહિ શક્યા હોય એ સૌ નવા નવા રેકોર્ડ બનાવતા રહે અને મહિલાઓ પણ પોતાની દીકરીઓને સાહસીક બનાવી એનામાં રહેલી છુપી ટેલેન્ટનો વિકાસ કરવામાં આગળ આવે .જયહિન્દ-મનીષા જોબન દેસાઈ.

"આજે હોમ મેઇડ ચોકલેટસ બનાવી રહી હતી,થોડો કોકોપાવડર વધુ પડ્યો ને બધું કડવું થઈ ગયું.ત્યાર થી વિચારી રહી છું સંબંધોમાં શું વધું થયું?કે અચાનક કડવાહટ પ્રસરી ગઈ. "અતિશયોક્તિ, અતિરેક, અતિશય, વધું હોવું, અનહદ, આ બધાં એક જ શબ્દના સમાનાર્થી છે. દરેક વસ્તુનું એક પ્રમાણ હોય છે જો એનાથી વધું થાય તો એની વિપરીત અસર થવાની જ. *પ્રેમિકા ના પ્રેમ નો અતિરેક એના પ્રેમી ને એના તરફ નિષ્ફીકર બેધ્યાન બનાવી દે છે.*અતિશય લાડ માં ઉછરેલુ બાળક સ્વચ્છંદી ને જિદ્દી થઈ જાય છે. *વારંવાર આવતાં દુઃખ ને તકલીફો મજબુત માં મજબુત મનુષ્યને કમજોર બનાવી દે છે. *અતિ ગુણવાન વ્યક્તિમાં પણ દોષ તો છુપાયેલા હોય શકે.*ભરેલા પાત્ર માં વધારાનું પ્રવાહી ઉમેરતા જાઓ તો એ છલકાઈને બહાર જ પડવાનું. "અતિ ને ના મળે કદી ગતિ" જો આ વાત દરેક ની સમજ માં આવી જાય ને તો ઘણાં ખરા અંશે પરિવર્તન શક્ય બને છે. દરેક સંજોગો દરેક વસ્તુ એના નિયત માપ અનુસાર થતી રહે તો દુઃખ તકલીફો ઉભાં જ ના થાય. પણ આ માનવ મન છે ને બહું ચંચળ છે જે મળે તે ઓછું જે લાગે હજી થોડું વધું મળી જાય તો કેવું સારું. બસ આમાં જ અટવાયા કરે છે ને ચાર દિવસ ની જિંદગી પૂરી થઈ જાય છે.

"અરે રે બિચારીને દીકરો જોતો હતો પણ ફરીથી દીકરી જન્મી" આવા સહાનુભૂતિ ભર્યા શબ્દો જ્યારે પણ કોઈને માટે બોલતા સાંભળું છું, કેટકેટલાં પ્રયત્નો કરું ખુદને શાંત રાખવાનાં પરંતુ મારાથી થોડું ઉગ્ર તો થઈ જ જવાય. કહેવાતા આ મોર્ડન સમાજની આવી માનસિક પંગુતા ક્યારે દૂર થશે? આશ્ચર્ય ની વાત છે 'દીકરો દીકરી એક સમાન' ની વાતો કરવાવાળા 21 મી સદીના લોકોની વિચારસરણી 18 મી સદી જેવી. દિકરીનાં જન્મ સમયે મોટાભાગના પરિવારોમાં તો જાણે શોકનું વાતાવરણ ઉભું થઈ જાય છે. જરા જઈને કોઈ સમજાવોને સાહેબ જન્મનાર બાળક પોતાનું પ્રારબ્ધ લખાવીને જ આવે છે. જન્મ આપનારી જનેતા માટે બંને એકસમાન હોય છે તો આપણે કોણ હોઈ શકીએ? દીકરા દીકરી માં ભેદ કરનારા?????

शादी में फ़िज़ूल खर्चआज का विषय आनंदित घटना के साथ ज़रूरी बदलाव के लिए भी हमें सोचने पर मजबूर करता है।विवाह-शादी में बंधनेवालो के सपनो की उड़ान ही कुछ अलग होती है ।सदीओ से चले आ रहे इस रिवाज़ को सब ख़ुशी-ख़ुशी अपनाते है,ये सोचकर के शादी तो एक बार करनी है और वह प्रसंग यादगार रहे जाए।पहेले के समय में और अभी लोगो के रहन-सहन और ज़िन्दगी के प्रति सोच में काफी परिवर्तन आया है।एक तरफ से देखा जाए तो ये सभी उत्सव जो हम मनाते है उससे व्यापार में तो बढ़ावा होता ही हे।जैसे गहने से लेकर खाने तक के खर्च से हमारे कारण कोई और कमाता है जैसे दुसरो की वजह से हम कमाते है ।हम हमारे देश में लघुउद्योगो को बढ़ावा देते है ।शादी के समारोह में होनेवाले हर खर्च हमारे समाज के बिज़नेस का एक हिस्सा है ।और अब जब लड़का लड़की खुद अपनी कॅरियर बनाते है और खुद के आनंद के लिए खर्च करते है ।गरीब की लड़की की शादी के लिए हमारे यहाँ आर्यसमाज और रजिस्टर विवाह की सुविधा है ही ।शादी के वकत धार्मिक विधियाँ इतनी खर्चाण नहीं है लेकिन बिन ज़रूरी खाने की वेराइटीज वगैराह पर खर्च नहीं होना चाहिए ।शादी के वकत खरीदी गयी चीज़ें तो काम आनेवाली ही है ,लेकिन डेकोरेशन वगैराह में भी जिसको री-यूज़ कर सके ऐसे आयोजन होना चाहिए।कितने लोग शादी के वकत काफी दान भी करते है, ज़रूरियातमंद को गिफ्ट भी देते है।लेकिन अगर कोई सिर्फ़ अपने स्टेटस के लिए सामनेवाले को खर्च करवाए ये ग़लत है।आज लाइफस्टाइल इतना बदल गया है कि हमारा युवा जनरेशन पश्चिमी स्टाइल से प्रभावित होकर पार्टियाँ रखते है ,जब कि आप अगर जाने तो विदेशी लोग अपनी शादी पर बहोत काम खर्च करते है।वहाँ सब अपनी कॅरियर और घर वगैराह बनाने में ज़्यादा ध्यान  रखते है ।हमारे भारत में महिलाए काम करने नहीं जाती इस विचार से प्रेरित शादी के वक्त ज़्यादा खरीदी की जाती है कि हमारी बेटी को किसी चीज़ की कमी नहीं रहे ।और दहेज़ भी इसी सोच का नतीजा है कि औरते बेटे के ससुराल से शादी के वक्त चीजे डिमांड करके अपनी इच्छाए पूर्ण करती है ।अपने सर्कल में सबको दिखने के लिए भी बहु से चीजे डिमांड की जाती है।लेकिन ये सब खर्च बचाने के लिए पैसेवाले लोग भी समूहलग्न में भाग ले तो काफी खर्च बच सकता है।-मनीषा जोबन देसाईSent from Yahoo Mail on Android

स्त्री शक्तिस्त्री और पुरुष इस विश्व की धरोहर मानें जाते हे। कही दोनेा में से कोई एक दूसरे से ज़्यादा ज़रूरी या ताकतवर है, उसके विवाद में न पड़ते हुए, एक बात तो तय है कि स्त्रियो को ज़रूर कुछ ऐसी अनदेखी शक्तियाँ मिली है।इतने युगों से धरती पर जितने भी परिवर्तन आये है उसमें बार-बार स्त्रियों को कभी देवी मानकर पूजा गया, या किसी युग में उसे अपमानित किया गया॥ हमारे पौराणिक शास्त्रों की कथा में हम सबने पढ़ा-सूना है उनकी जीत और उनकी यातनाओं के बारे मे,। पृथ्वी की उत्त्पत्ति से लेकर आज के आधुनिक युगतक स्त्रियों की परिस्थिति में भूतल की बदलती सतह की तरह ऊपर-तले होना उसकी मजबूरी रही हे। शायद इसका एक कारण उसकी शारीरिक रचना और मातृत्व धारण करने की जिम्मेदारी मानी जाती हे। शारीरिक ताकत में कुदरत के इस मातृत्व के वरदान से तो उसकी सहन शक्ति ज़्यादा गिनी जानी चाहिए, लेकिन सामाजिक उसूलों की अनदेखी जँजीरोने उसके अस्तित्व को बाँध दिया है॥ दुनिया का कोई भी काम ऐसा नहीं जो स्त्रियाँ नहीं कर सकती, और जितने भी कार्य ऐसे है जिसमें उन्हें रोका जाता है, वह सब कामों में वह सक्षम होते हुए भी कभी ऑनर की दुहाई देकर या कभी अपनी हार को जीत में बदलनेके लिये स्त्रियों को इमोशनल करके उनसे पीछेहठ करवाई जाती है। इतिहास में स्त्रियों को सम्मान देने का जिस युग में विवरण किया गया है वहाँ भी काफी कहानियाँ उनके अस्तित्व के बलिदान की भी प्रसिद्धः है। ऐसा नहीं है कि स्त्रियों को अपने अस्तित्व को पुरुषों जितना ही उजागर करने में अपनी तरफ से कोई परेशानी है, वो अपने अंदर का आत्मविश्वास पूर्ण तरीके से तेज़ कर चुकी है, लेकिन अपने साथ जो उसके ऊपर अपनी संस्कृति की रक्षा का बोझ, कभी परिवार का मान सम्मान तो कभी उसके मन की नाजुक भावनाओं को छलते हुए उसे सिर्फ़ पारिवारिक जीवन का पूरक बनाकर उलज़ा देते है। और ये सिर्फ़ पुरुषों की तरफ से नहीं हो रहा, स्त्रियाँ खुद दूसरी स्त्रियो को आगे बढ़ने में दिक्कतें खड़ी करती है ।काफी स्त्रियाँ, डरकर सहयोग देने से डरती है और काफी स्त्रियाँ ईर्ष्यावश, सास ननंद, भाभी, सहेली या, ऊपरी कर्मचारी का रूप बदलकर स्त्री के अंदर रही पूर्ण रूप से खिलने की शक्तियों को क्षीण कर देती है। कुछ स्त्रियाँ ये सब बंधन तोड़कर अपने आत्मविश्वास के साथ अपना जीवन अपने तरीके से जीती है, उन सबको भी अपने समय में उतनी ही दिक्कतें आयी थी। लेकिन अपने साहस और अपनी ताकत से अपना मार्ग बनाया। सीता से लेकर द्रौपदी, रज़िया सुल्तान से लेकर रानी दुर्गावती, रानी लक्ष्मीबाई, इंदिरा गांधी किरण बेदी, सानिया मिर्ज़ा और अपने देश की कितनी उद्योग साहसिक महिलाओं के उदाहरण स्त्री-एम्पावरमेंट के इस दौर में दिए जाते है, लेकिन सब औरतें ऐसी थोड़ी बन शक्ति है? सिर्फ़ कुछ अलग बनने की प्रेणना ले सकती है।अपने संजोग, और अपनी ज़रूरत के हिसाब से पहले अपने खुद के शिक्षण, कैरियर और आर्थिक विकास को मजबूत बनाकर परिवार के सहयोग में साथ चलना चाहिए फिर परिस्थिति को धीरे-धीरे धीरे बदलते हुए पूरे परिवार की महिलाओं को कन्विंस करना चाहिए की वह भी अपने परिवार के साथ अपनी खुद के विकास को आगे बढ़ाने में रास्ते सरल बनाते जाए. और अगर इतना करने में अगर हम कामयाब रहे तो फिर अपने आसपास के माहौल, अपना कार्यक्षेत्र और बहार के समाज की गतिविधियों में अपना स्थान मजबूत बना सकेंगे। हमारी रोजमर्रा की ज़िंदगी में आपने महसूस किया होगा की हम कितनी पुरानी, जंग लगी हुई सोच अपने से लपेटे हुए हमारे वर्तमान को डल बना देते है। ये सब हमारी पुरानी सुनी हुई या कभी कभार देखी हुई फैलियर्स होती है। जो हमें नए रास्ते बनाने से रोक लेती हे। कभी धर्म के नाम से, कभी, सुपरनेचुरल चीजें और कभी सुरक्षा के नाम पर हम कितनी नयी दिशाओं से महरूम रहे जाते है, जो हमें अपने जीवन के ऐक नये प्रकाशपुँज से परिचय कराती है। वो है हमारी शिक्षा, जो हमें अपने माता-पिता-गुरु-मित्रो और सहकर्मियों से प्राप्त होती हे और वही हमें हमारी अनदेखी जंजीरों से आज़ाद कराएगी। हर ऐक स्त्री कुछ ना कुछ हुनर शिखकर अपना एक अलग व्यक्तित्व उभार सकती है, जहां वह आर्थिक, सामाजिक और इमोशनल रूप से साबित कर सकती है। जब भी हम मीडिया पर भी न्यूज़ देखते है, और देश के विविध राज्यो में महिला ओ के साथ होते हुए अन्याय, अत्याचार और बलात्कार वगैरह से विचलित होते है और सुरक्षा का विचार सबसे पहलेमन में आता है। फिर भी बदलती हुई नइॅ सोच, आधुनिक उपकरणों की मदद और अपने आपको टेक्नोलोजी की सहाय से आनेवाली नयी पीढ़ी के युवा मानस को एक खुली सोचवाला और सुरक्षित बदलाव दे सकते है। सोशल मीडिया, जिससे हम मानते है कि दुनिया छोटी हो गयी है, लेकिन साथ में वहाँ भी महिलाओं के लिए पाबंदी है। क्यूँकी हर बात को कब कोई सेक्स से जोड़ दे या किसी भी लड़की को घर बैठने के लिए मजबूर कर दे ये कहा नहीं जा सकता। और इतना विकसित होने के बाद भी आखिर में एक सीमित दायरे में ही विकसित होने की सलाह दी जाती है। जिसकी वजह से कितनी नयी बातें और नए विकास से महिलाएँ पीछे रह जाती है और ये स्थिति सिर्फ़ हमारे यहाँ नहीं सभी देश की महिलाओ कोऔरो की मानसिक बर्बरता के कारण अपनी वर्तमान स्थिति को बदलना पड़ता है।बदलाव, महिलाओं की शक्ति, आगे बढ़ाने की बातें और सशक्तीकरण की योजनाएँ महिला पूरी तरह समझकर अगर उसके सहयोग से अपना विकास करना चाहे तो पूरा आकाश उनके सपनों को पूरा करने के लिये खुला है। बस ज़रूरत हे तो हौसले से अपना पहला कदम उठाने की और मज़बुती से नयी राह पर अपनी चाल को और गतिवंत बनाने की। हमारी फ़िल्मों में भी काफी मजबूत केरेक्टरवाली महिलाओं के किरदार परदे पर दिखाए है और नये-नये उदाहरण हमारे सामने रखते है। उनमें वर्किंगवुमन से लेकर हरेक क्षेत्र की महिला ओ की दुविधा ओ को चित्रित किया गया है। पर ये सब अभी शुरुआत है, वेस्टर्न वल्डॅ की महिलाओ को जितना ह्नमन राइट के बेनिफिट मिलते है उसकी बराबरी करने में शायद हम काफी पीछे है। फिर भी अपनी युवा पीढ़ी स्वतंत्रता के नए आकाश में उड़ान ज़रूर भरेगी और इसमें सबसे ज़्यादा महिलाओं की अंदरूनी शक्तियां ही उन्हें कामयाब बनाएगी। हमारे राज्य में महीलाओ के लिये जितनी भी योजनाएँ बनायी जाती है, उनके बार में अवगत कराना भी बहुत ज़रूरी है जीस से ये बातें सिफॅ पेपर पर न रहे जाये। काफी हद तक सामाजिक संस्थाएँ ये जिम्मेदारियाँ उठा रही है, लेकीन महीलाओ को खुद माहीती कलेकट करके ऐलटॅ रहनां ज़रूरी है, जीससे वह महत्तम सुविघाऐ पा्प्त करके कोइ भी लघुउघोग वगैरह शुरू करे और अपनी स्कील का उपयोग करे।-मनीषा जोबन देसाई

This Women's day - Take charge and be the role model!

In last few years, I have had the opportunity to work as a coach with many women leaders and women coaches. Many of them are ambitious and want to grow in their careers, but feel that they don’t have role models to look at. This point has also been raised quite a few times during the gender diversity discussions.I agree, and I think the whole world would acknowledge the lack of enough woman leaders. There is a lot of diversity buzz going on with a target to solve this problem, it will happen one day, but you do not have the luxury to wait. Come on. Don’t wait to look for the role model. Be the role model instead, fill in this vacuum and resolve the problem for others like you!Don’t know where to begin? Let me outline a few quick steps that can help you climb up the Career Ladder:1.      Take charge - Tell yourself you are going to be the role model.2.       Decide on your career goals – Ask yourself –a.       What do you want to achieve in next 3 years?b.       What do you achieve in next 1 year?c.       What are the 3 things you need to this this quarter?d.       What are the 3 things you need to do this month and next month?3.       Decide on your other priorities (non-career) for short term specially – 6 months to 1 year.a.       What are the other priorities/goals (from other spheres of life)?b.       Prioritizing these goal/priorities, pick top 3.c.       Make an action plan of what needs to be done for these.d.       What can come in the way? Is there a conflict with your career goals? Just look at 1-year career goals.e.       If yes, how well prepared you are to handle conflict of goals?f.        List down if you need any external support?g.       Enlist people who help you on your challenges! Remember, you have a support system that you can lean on!4.       Create a list career enablersa.       Get a Mentor at work (if possible multiple Mentors!)                                    i.      Seek people who can support you to achieve your goals.b.       Create a Learning path                                                               i.      Look for enabling assignments.c.       Invest in yourself                                                               i.      Take a training program.                                                             ii.      Sign up a coach.                                                           iii.      Hire a house help if that helps.Note down everything else that may help you to achieve your goals (Career and Non-Career) and then invest in every support system that will help you.  5. Create list of the relationships you need to createWhat relationships you would need to create to reach your goals? It may include creating a business connect with other head of departments, Industry body etc. You may need to create a stronger relationship with another friend/relative who can help you for a few hours on those child-sick days. You are the one who knows what goes here. 6.       Create your elevator pitch!Always have a 60 second elevator pitch of what you do and what difference are you making in your current role. 7.       Go and Act: Make an action plan for sure but don’t just plan and re-plan, Act! Else all will fail! Do some actionable every single day, even small progress is good progress. 8.       Acknowledge yourselfa.       Reward yourself for every small win.b.       Be ready with a list of rewards for yourself if you completed what you need to do!c.       You are your own motivation!You bet it is not easy, but know that every journey begins with the first step. Go ahead, take that first step and be the change you want to see.

A Child-star to a Superstar

The first female superstar of the Indian Cinema, Sridevi (bornShree Amma Yanger Ayyapan), passed away last night. As soon as the news came, it was mandatory to check if it was some kind of rumor. But, to our utter grief, it was true. And true to such extent that we are still taken aback to witness the ‘Hawaa-Hawai’ star, go too soon at the age of 54. She broke our hearts for the first time when she played an autistic child-woman in Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Sadma’ (the Sadma lullaby is still one of the most cherished memories from my childhood) and yet again she has left us in tears. The only difference is that this time she has left us heartbroken forever. It’s just so unfair that the versatile actress had a cardiac arrest and left us. Babies especially newborns are sensitive beings recently out from the safe vicinity of mother’s cocoon to face the extreme weather conditions. Since their bodies are slowly developing immunity and tolerance, babies born in summers have a tougher time of not only coping up with extremely hot surroundings but also regular problems like long power cuts, water shortage, and soaring temperature. HappyMaa provides some tips to keep both the baby and mother cool during the summers.Baby bathing frequency-Babies sweat a lot during the summers but it is still not recommended to bathe them frequently as their skin may get dry. However, if your child still feels too hot wiping them frequently with lukewarm sponge will and moisturizing them also help to keep them cool and prevent their skin from developing dryness. Babies should not be bathed with cold water in open surroundings, the bathing water should always be lukewarm and babies should be brought back to the bed wrapped in a towel. While bathing the baby special care should be taken to clean her underarms, neck, and all the folds visible on her body as these areas produce more sweat and chances of developing rashes are more.Oil Massage- Oil massages are mandatory health routines for the baby even in summers as they regulate blood circulation and strengthens the bones of the child. However, in summers it is recommended to use light oil which readily gets absorbed in the skin and doesn’t stay for long on the body of the baby as it may block the sweat pores and develop skin rashes causing irritation.Summer dressing- Babies should be dressed in loose fitting cotton clothes during summers as cotton cloths easily absorb the mild sweating. For the protection of babies they are usually dressed in layers so that whenever they start feeling uncomfortable due to soaring weather a layer can be removed to keep them cool yet protected. If you are moving out with the baby, try to cover their body completely with loose and soft cotton cloth and her head with comfortable hat to safeguard her from scorching heat, rashes, and heat strokes. However, it is recommended to avoid taking baby out during the hot weather for a long time.Additionally, throughout the weather try to use soft and comfortable material for baby everywhere like whenever you are putting baby down the cloth below her like the bedsheet should be of soft cotton material so that it can easily absorb their mild sweating. It is recommended to avoid using silk, nylon, and other synthetic form of material for the baby as they may trap heat inside the baby’s body and cause them to sweat profusely causing skin rashes.Use of AC and Coolers for baby- It is highly recommended to keep baby under the normal room temperature so that their bodies adjust to the temperature accordingly. However, if the mercury is soaring and unbearable, the AC and Coolers at moderate temperature can be used. However, babies should be kept away from the effect of direct air hitting their bodies. Have we got mixed up with our goals and the means to achieve those goals? Most of us have. Wake up before time runs out !...Unhappy and frustrated with recent exam results at school, my elder one was desperately looking forward to something that could soothe her mind. It is not only about kids and exams, it could be you and your career, you and your business, your life, your relations, your passion. Whatever be it, in most cases we seemed to have mixed up with our life's goals and the means to achieve those goals. Don't believe me? Look out for yourself."Dad, now don’t tell me that results do not matter. I know that efforts are more important. But still I am not feeling good...", said a disappointed Arushi."Well, the fact is that results do matter. However, they are not in our control. Our efforts also matter. The beauty of focusing on the efforts is that efforts are always in our control. In any case, let me share with you a story of one of my friends in the United States - that should probably make you feel better...""William Richards was one of my colleagues when we were in the USA. We call him Bill. And you know people there - they are so fond of taking long breaks from the mundane job, and going on for adventures like biking, hiking, boating, flying, and what not.""Ah! Those US days...", remarked Arushi with a glee in her eyes."Yeah...so, this guy – Bill, took a three-week vacation after we signed a new contract with the client. All of us had worked very hard for this, and we all deserved a break. Bill decided to walk up the mountains.""Ok...Is it around the same time we went to Disney World?", inquired Arushi."Yes, exactly, we also took that 3-week break..OK, so when Bill was back after 3 weeks,he explained me about an incident that was strangely disturbing for him.""What was that?""Bill told me that during one of the days when he was climbing one of the toughest peaks. That day was particularly rough for him. He had been climbing since last 6 hours and it was late in the afternoon already. He was literally sweating in the snow, his legs were paining, his shoulders were aching...He was finding it really tough. But of course, he did not have a choice at that time. While all that was happening, he heard a noise of a helicopter quite close to him. When the sound of the whirling helicopter blades increased further, he just looked up and was amazed to see what he saw.""What was there?""It was one of his friends and his neighbor Ronnie on the helicopter...Ronnie was a rich man, also fond of mountains.""Ah ok..""They waived at each other, and then Ronnie shouted that he was going to the M4 peak...Bill said he was too...""OK..."Ronnie then waived Bill to come over to the helicopter and he offered to throw the ladder down to pick him up. Bill was confused whether he should take this offer."C’mon Bill. We have the same goal. We can use his helicopter as a means to achieve this goal faster. What are you thinking? I started just 15 min back and we will be there at the M4 peak in next 5 minutes.""Then, did Bill accept his friends offer?""No, Bill did not. And whether Bill accepted the offer or not is irrelevant. The strange part was this. At that moment, Bill said that he definitely felt very frustrated, sad and hopeless.""That’s obvious Dad...Bill has been climbing for hours together and was in pain. His friend did all that in 15 minutes - just because his friend could afford to rent a helicopter.""It is not obvious my child. It is the core issue.”“Issue, what issue?”“Here is what the issue us. If Bill felt sad seeing his friend go past him and reach the peak in no time with least effort, then I am sorry to say that Bill has got completely messed up with his goals and the means to achieve the goal.""How?""OK. what do you think was Bill’s goal?""To reach the mountaintop.""Again, we always get it wrong here. That is the issue. We get so messed up. Think again why did he take the vacation? At that point when Ronnie was waving at him, Bill thought that reaching the top is the goal and climbing are the means to achieve the goal, while actually, it is exactly the reverse. Think. The climb is the goal and the mountaintop is the means that help him achieve his goal. Did he not take a break to enjoy a few days 'climbing'? The objective was always to climb and enjoy the climb. Now, having said that, remember that the mountaintop is also important, but just as a means. If there was no top, then there would be no climb.""Hmmm....quite interesting.""If he was clear about the goal (climbing), would he be frustrated to see his friend reaching the top faster?""Perhaps, no !""Definitely no. Who reaches the top faster and with how much effort - all this would cease to matter if the goal is to climb. It is just how we look at things. In fact, he should be satisfied that he is already achieving his goal of climbing - which cannot be accomplished in any way via a helicopter.""Interesting Dad....""And now tell me what is your goal when you study - to learn new things and acquire knowledge or to score marks?"Arushi went in thinking mode. It is this self-introspection only that was going to set her perspective right. I let her take her time. After some time, I had to trigger it.."So, let me make it absolutely clear to you. Marks are not the goal at all. Marks are just a means - that help you focus on your main goal - which is to acquire more knowledge, and become wiser. While striving to achieve more marks, your goal is to become knowledgeable and wise – and not the other way round. Let there be no doubt about this. Do not mess up your childhood days in this confusion. Do not do the same mistake that Bill did." "Wow, this does give me a different perspective. But that is not how our teachers and classmates think. They look highly on us only when we get good marks.""Yeah, that is how it is always going to stay - perhaps. They have messed up their lives, and we cannot go and correct everyone around us. It is not feasible. But my advise to you would be not to just follow the herd. The entire herd may be headed to hell."“I get that Dad…I definitely feel better..”Arushi got it. I got it a few years back. Some of you may get it with this post. Some will never get it. Doesn't matter. The end is the same for everyone. But hold....reaching the end of our life is not our goal. Reaching the end is just a means - a reminder - for us to improve, become better, possess more mental strength, exhibit more happiness, elevate someone's life - and these are our goals. Do not get messed up between the goal and the means.On a vacation trip remember that the goal is not to reach the destination, but to enjoy the in-between moments - waiting at the airport, the cab ride with family, the meal at the hotel, the dance party, the scuba dive, the isolated hour at the beach. How long is 'Long Term' in Equity?

For someone running the last 100 meters of a 42 Km marathon, one sec can seem to be quite a time. On the other hand, to change a simple habit in your life, a decade may seem quite small. Long Term, therefore, is a relative term in life. But it is not so in equity investments. Whether it is mutual funds or stocks, we can define Long Term quite precisely, clearly and objectively - with logical data points.Let us see how.'Being Dead' as an Investment StrategyFidelity Investments recently conducted a study in the US to find out what kind of investments provided the best returns. The results were startling for anyone who feels is a smart investor. The study revealed that the highest returns were from investors who had completely forgotten about their investment for years, or even decades. A good proportion of these investors who were enjoying amazing returns, had actually died a long time ago. The study, therefore, concluded that the most profitable strategy may be to do exactly what a dead person would do - which is nothing.Why should we define 'Long Term'?A long-term investment is often associated with lesserrisk. We just understood from the above study that the longer the term, the lesser the risk - since volatility is averaged out over a period of time.To augment our statement, just have a look at the last 5 year returns of BSE Sensex:9% , 42% , -9% , 16% & 10%The overall annual returns stand at 13%Now, 13% is a fabulous annual return on your investment - but the variability (volatility) is high. During any short period, you could face poor returns - or even losses (as in Year 3). These poor returns are (over)compensated by a great occasional phase (as in Year 2). As you increase the term, the risk will keep reducing. But how long should we keep increasing the Term of investment? For sure, we do not want to die just trying to get good returns. We want to get the returns and use them too - in this lifespan. Isn't the purpose of an investment to get the returns and use the money as well as the returns arising from it? What use is the money if it just keeps growing and you die of old age? The end purpose of money and investments was always to spend it optimally, so as to facilitate happiness in our life.Therefore, to strike a balance, we must define a Long Term investment tenure where we have a fairly reduced risk and we can also use the investment and the returns for the purpose it was intended to. Thus, we should be able to precisely answer the question, "How long is long-term in Equity?"How does our Law define 'Long Term'?Tax Laws are often quite strange, to say the least. Indian IT Act defines Long Term on equity investments after a period of 1 year (12 months). So, does that mean that any equity investment done for more than a year is a truly long-term and therefore, relatively quite safe?Not really!Ironically, on the other hand, any investment done in debt based funds are considered as long-term from a taxation perspective only if you stay invested for at least 3 years. So, are we saying that debt investments are riskier as compared to equity investments - and therefore need a longer duration to average out the risk? It is actually the reverse. Debt based investments are less volatile and therefore less risky as compared to Equity investments.So, we cannot go by the definition of tax laws to define the right tenure of any Long-Term Investments.Defining 'Long Term' logicallyIf you analyze the data for a typical mutual fund with a multi-decade history over all the possible 1 year periods, you will find that:a) Maximum returns are 160% (best 1-year return ever)b) Minimum returns are -57% (worst 1-year return ever)If you analyze the data for a typical fund with a multi-decade history over all the possible 2 year periods, you will find that:a) Maximum returns are 82% (Annualised best return ever - over 2 years period)b) Minimum returns are -34% (Annualised worst return ever - over 2 years period)If you analyze the data for a typical fund with a multi-decade history over all the possible 3 year periods, you will find that:a) Maximum returns are 63% (Annualised best return ever - over 3 years period)b) Minimum returns are -18% (Annualised worst return ever - over 3 years period)If you analyze the data for a typical fund with a multi-decade history over all the possible 4 year periods, you will find that:a) Maximum returns are 59% (Annualised best return ever - over 4 years period)b) Minimum returns are -8% (Annualised worst return ever - over 4 years period)If you analyze the data for a typical fund with a multi-decade history over all the possible 5 year periods, you will find that:a) Maximum returns are 54% (Annualised best return ever - over 5 years period)b) Minimum returns are 4% (Annualised worst return ever - over 5 years period)This means that the minimum annualized returns you could have made annually if you would have invested in the worst possible fund would have been 4%. Do not go by the dwarf-ness of 4% CAGR. Try and understand the significance of this statement. Here is the crux. There was no feasible way that you could have made any loss in equity market if you would have stayed invested for 5 years - since your returns were going to be between 4% and 54%.Let us just go one step ahead.If you analyze the data for a typical fund with a multi-decade history over all the possible 10 year periods, you will find that:a) Maximum returns are 30% (Annualised best return ever - over 10 years period)b) Minimum returns are 13% (Annualised worst return ever - over 10 years period)Wow !! A worst-case annual returns of 13% !!What else you want equity investments to deliver to you? Of course, that is if you stay invested for 10 years.The above statistics clearly puts the minimum term of investment to be 5 years and the optimum term of investment in equity to be somewhere between 5 and 10 years i.e. 7 years and above. 7+ years is an investment term wherein you get good enough returns with significantly lesser risk.Therefore, in equity investments - long term is not a vague term. It is 7 years+ investment horizon - also validated by 7-year equity cycles.CheersManoj AroraOfficial Website | My Mission

2:50 amThe world is planning to have a good night and here I am fighting my internal demons.Playing my favorite track to distract myself, otherwise, I will give up again. I could feel those things coming back to me, those wounds which were never healed and probably could never be.I am different they say, I can't make eye contact with people and often fail in building a conversation with them and for this they bully me but my Mossi says that I am no different and I ask myself then why I always stay alone and no one comes to me.I gave up on everything no motivation to do anything. As soon as I close my eyes all I could see is my whole life moving in front of my eyes like a movie.People say you don't try to fight for yourself, but they don't actually know what it feels like to be defeated every time you stand for yourself. They don't know about the nights I stay awake just to calm myself down, they don't know about the nights I puke just because taking medicines for my anxiety is not my cup of tea.My lips had frozen and my hands had shivered when I had tried to gulp down the sleeping pills and poison.After crying for hours about my miserable life I often dial computerized voice number when I need to cry and speak my heart out.Today, as I empty the sleeping pills and bottle of poison, my lips don't freeze, my hands don't shiver and I finally know I am not going to be like this for the rest of my life.But wait, who cares? No one right? Everyone loves to advise you for free but no has the courage to stand by your side and say I am there for you no matter how worse your condition.

कहानीअपने पराये      सुजीता दोपहर  की चाय बना रही थी, की डोरबेल बजी।सोफे पर बेठी उसकी सासने उसके हस्बैंड का लेबोरेटरी से आया नया रिपोर्ट लिया और पढ़कर,'हे भगवान ये कैसी मुसीबत हमारे परिवार पार आ गिरी है?"किचन में से भागती सुजीता आयी और जल्दी से रिपोर्ट देखा,साथ में डॉक्टर ने बम्बई के किसी बड़े अस्पताल में जाजा़कर इलाज कराने की चिट्ठी भी लिखी थी।सुजीता की आँखों से आंसू बरस पड़े।उसकी सास तो अगली पिछली बाते निकालकर सुनाती रही।"तेरा कुछ ध्यान नहीं है,तेरी पार्ट टाइम नौकरी और छुट्टी के दिन सहेलियों के साथ किटी पार्टी …"वगैराह'धीरे बोलिये मम्मीजी अभी उनकी तबियत ठीक नहीं है, आज डेढ़ महीना हो गया ऑफिस भी नहीं जा रहे,ये सब सुनेंगे तो और ज्यादा दुखी होंगे।अब तो हमें कैसे उनको जल्दी इलाज करके ठीक करना है और इतने लम्बे समय तक चलनेवाली ट्रीटमेंट का खर्च भी तो जुटाना है।उनके इन्शयोरन्स का पैसा भी काफी नहीं हैऔर हम सब महिला किटी में सिर्फ मज़ा करने थोडे जाते है ?सामजिक कार्यो से भी तो जुड़े है,आप हमेशा मेरी गलती निकलती रहती है और हमारी नन्ही सी गुड़िया बेटी  त्रीया से भी रुखा व्यवहार करते है।ये सुनकर सुजीता की सास शांत होकर अपने रुम में चली गयी।सुजीता ने सबको चाय दी और अपने पति रूवीन को धीरे धीरे बाते समजा़ने लगी की, अब हमें बाहर जाकर इलाज करवाना पडेगा।दूसरे दिन से सुजीता तैयारी में जुट गयी।अपनी पांच सालकी बेटी त्रिया की रेसीडेंशल स्कूल से इतनी तो राहत थी की बच्ची उतने समय स्कूल की होस्टेल मे अच्छी निगरानी में रहे सकेगी।त्रीया को समजा़कर  उसकि दो तीन फ्रेंड वगैराह को बुलाकार समजा़ लिया।अपनी ऑफिस से बिना सेलेरी से दो महीने की छुट्टी भी लीउसकी सास ने दो तीन सम्बंदिओ से फोन करके बात की और कुछ आर्थिक मदद के बारे मे भी बताया लेकिन सबने कुछ न कुछ बहाने बनाकर ताल दिया।सुजीता की दो तीन सहेलियों का फोन आया और सुजिताने अपनी मुश्किल बतायी लेकिन सबने हाँ सोचेंगे वगैराह बाते की।उसकी सास भी साथ आने को तैयार हुई लेकिन सुजिताने कहा,आप को तकलीफ होगी मेरा भाई थोड़े दिन छुट्टी लेकर साथ रहेगा फिर जैसे ट्यूमर का  पहला माइनर ओपरेशन हो जाएगा बाद मे रिपोर्ट आये फिर आप आना"बातें कर रहे थे उतने में सुजीता की किटी पार्टी के प्रमुख नीताबेन और साथ में ओर दो बहेनें आयी और सुजीता को आश्र्वस्त करते हुए एक चेक दिया और कहने लगे,"आप बिलकुल चिंता मत करना,अपनी संस्था के भंडोल से सबने मिलकर ये रकम आपको इलाज के लिए दे रहे है जिसमें आधा तो हम सब की तरफ से है और आधी रकम आप धीरे धीरे करके भर सकेंगे ,ईश्वर की कृपा से सब कुछ ठीक हो जाएगा”बोलते सबकी आँखे भर आयी और सुजीता आंसू भरी आंखो से धन्यवाद करते हुए अपनी सास की सबसे पहचान करवाई।सुजीता की सास भी एकदम से रो पड़ी और सबसे धन्यवाद करते हुए बोली,"सुजीता,सचमें समय बदलते ही कभी अपने पराये  हो जाते है और जिन्हें पराये समझते है वो अपने बन जाते है "-मनीषा जोबन देसाई

Happy earth day 2018विषय-वैश्विक तापमान कारण और निवारणसदियों से तपती इस धरा पर जाने कितने अत्याचार और बदलाव आये है।वैसे तो कुदरत से मिली हरेक सम्पति से वो भरपूर है,लेकिन मानवजाती ने खुद को और अपनी आनेवाली पीढी को ब्रह्मांड में एक नयी पहचान देने की जब से ठान ली हैऔर इसके लिए जाने कितने ही आविष्कारों से धरती को सजायें जा रहे है।क़ुदरत की अखुट संपत्ति से लबरेज़ हरियाली धरती अब कहीं कहीं से बंज़र दिखती जा रही है।अपने आपको विश्वमानव बनाने की धुन थी तब तक तो ठीक था,लेकिन वहाँ से ओर ऊपर उठकर अवकाश में भी अपनी जगा बनाकर सब से ताकतवर बनने की होड़ लगी है।औद्योगिक क्रान्ति तो मानवजात के उज्जवल भविष्य के लिए बहुत ही आवकारदायक कदम है लेकिन केमिकल के उपयोग से दूषित पानी की समस्या और समुद्रजीवो के निकंदन से जैविक संतुलन बिगड़ रहा है।सरकार के द्वारा क़ानून बनाकर ठोस कदम उठाये गए है, लेकिन अपनी महत्वकांक्षाओ को "स्काय इस घ लिमिट "समजनेवाले ग्लोबल विकासी कहीं रुकने को तैयार नहीं।कन्स्ट्रक्शन इंन्डस्ट्री में भी काफी पेैबंदिया लगाने के बावजूद बेफाम बढ़ती बहुमाली इमारतों की वजह से महानगरों में काफी दिक्कतों का सामना कर रहे लोग।जैसे न्यूयॉर्क में कभी ऐसा भी हुआ था की ऊँची इमारते बनने लगी और आमने सामने स्ट्रीट बन गयी तो कम गेप छोड़ने की वजह से अन्धेरा रहने लगा और फिर नियम बनाये गए ,उसी के मुताबिक़ डेवलोपमेन्ट बढ़ाया जा रहा है लेकिन अब भी जैसे जैसे डेवलोपमेन्ट बढ़ा मार्किट एरिया और रहेने की पुरानी जगाओ पर वही समस्याए खड़ी हे। जैसे ट्राफिक की वजह से कितने मानवसमय का क्षय हो रहा है और मेरे ख्याल से जल्दी पहुंचने की दौड में जो आविष्कार किये गए उस के बावजूद वहीं के वहीं रहे जा रहे है।टेक्नोलोजी -मोबाईल-कमप्युटर उद्योगों का धुंआ और पेट्रोल डीज़ल का प्रदुषण दोनों मानवजीवन की शारीरिक क्षमता को क्षीण कर रहे है।समजदार देश भी अपनी ताकत दिखाने के लिये अणुपरिक्षण का मोह छोड नहीं रहें।खुले वातवरण से मिलनेवाली शुद्ध हवा जैसे महानगरों में एक याद बन गयी है।दूषीत पानी और दूषीत हवा से कितनी भयंकर बीमारियों का शिकार बन रहा हे मानवी।वैसे तो सरेराश आयु बढ़ी है मेडिकल संशोधन के कारण,लेकिन फिर भी समस्याएं कम नहीं हुई।सो साल जीने की तमन्ना करने वाला इंसान एक के बाद एक समस्याओ से ज़ुज़ रहा है, ग्लोबल वॉर्मिंग की वजह जंगलो का काटना,और प्लास्टिक का ज्यादा उपयोग होने की वजह से "ओज़ोन "लेयर में ब्लेक हॉल का विस्तार बढ़ा जिसकी वजह से सूरज की तेज रेडियन किरणे बढ़ने लगी,जो स्किन कैंसर वगैराह बढ़ने का मुख्य कारण है। ये तो सब समस्याए है,लेकिन उसका उपाय भी वही बुद्धिजीवियों को ढूंढना होगा जिन्होंने ये सब खड़ा किया है,नयी पिढी को इस समस्या से अवगत कराके उन्हें कुदरत से ज्यादा नजदीक रहने से लिए सामाजिक जागृति अभियान और हमारे गाँवों में भी जिस तरह से आधुनिकरण हो रहा है वहाँ पर वर्कशॉप करके और स्कूल के विद्यार्थी और शिक्षकों द्वारा ज्ञानजाग्रुति अभियान चलायें तभी सब आनेवाली पीढ़ी के लिए पानी,हरियाली शुद्ध हवा और हमारे जरुरी खनिज वगैराह बचा सकेंगे ।सिर्फ हमारी सरकार के प्रयत्न ही नहीं सभी को खुद समज़कर अपने पैरो पर कुल्हाड़ी मारना बंध करना चाहिए।"जय ग्लोबल विश्व”जब सब अच्छे से जियेंगे तभी तो जीवन आगे बढ़ेगा।-मनीषा जोबन देसाई सूरत -गुजरात -इण्डिया

साहित्य की सामाजिक भूमिका

संगम नारी मंच के समक्षसाहित्य की भूमिका जानने से पूर्व जानते हैंकि साहित्य  क्या है?क्यों हैं? साहित्य नाम क्यों दिया गया?वस्तुतः किसी भी भाषा के वाचिक और लिखित रुप से प्राप्त सँस्कृति,संस्कार,कला को साहित्य की श्रेणी में रखा जा सकता है।वाचिक यानि बोलकर एक पीढ़ी से दूसरी पीढ़ी तकग्रहण किया गया।लोक गीत ,लोक कलायें ,परंपरायें इसी तरह हस्ताँतरित होती रही हैं।इस हिसाब से देखा जाये तो आदिवासी भाषाओं,कला आदि का साहित्य सबसे प्राचीन है जिसे फरिभाषित करना थोड़ा कठिन है।जिस प्रकार पानी को परिभाषित करना या हवा को परिभाषित करना ,भावना को परिभाषित करना..।आशय हुआ कि शब्दों में हम  जिसे ढालना चाहे जिस रुप में ढालना चाहे जिस आकार में ढालना चाहे ढाल लेते हैं।पर शब्द के साथ जब उसका अर्थ ,उसका भाव भी सामंजस्य रुप में जुड़ा हो तब वह साहित्य की संज्ञा को प्राप्त हो सकता है।ज्ञातव्य है कि संस्कृत के आचार्य  विश्वनाथ महापात्र  सर्वप्रथम साहित्य दर्पण लिख कर साहित्य शब्द को व्यवहार में लाये थे ।वहीं संस्कृत के ही एक अन्य आचार्य कुंतक जी कहते हैं कि -शब्द और अर्थ के लिये सुंदरता की होड़ लगी हो ,स्पर्धा हो वहाँ साहित्य की सृष्टि होती है।क्लिष्ट शब्द ,तुकबंदी,रचना जो भाव हीन हो लेकिन छंद या मीटर के अनुभावों पर शतप्रतिशत सही बैठती हो ठीक वैसी ही है जैसे अपराह्न में जुगनू।इसका आशय ये हुआ कि भाव ही किसी सृजन को वह गहरायी प्रदान करते हैं जो रचना को साहित्य की परिधि में लाते हैं।निदा फ़ाजली ,गाल़िब ,दाग आदि अनेक कवियों ने बहुत ही सहज ,सरल शब्दों में गहरे भावों की रचना की जिसे रोम रोम महसूस कर सका यही साहित्य है।दुष्यंत कुमार ,जयशंकर प्रसाद रामधारी सिंह दिनकर आदि की रचनायें गहरे भावों को संजोती रचनायें हैं।अर्थात् साहित्य -शब्द ,अर्थ और भावों की त्रिवेणी हैं जो जनहित की धारा के साथ उच्चादर्शों की दिशा में सामाजिक सरोकारों को साथ ले प्रवाहित है।यही है उद्देश्य भी अर्थात् वाचिक,मौलिक ,लिखित रुप से सामाजिक सरोकारों के साथ एक पीढ़ी से दूसरी पीढ़ी तक हस्ताँतरित ,हितकारी,संस्कार ,संस्कृति ही साहित्य है।तो अपने भाव सौंदर्य के साथ शब्द अर्थ की विस्तृत व्याख्या करता है।उद्देश्य या भूमिका---एक वाक्य में कहा जाये तो प्राचीन परंपरा को सहेजना,समझना साहित्य का उद्देश्य हो सकता है।लेकिन मूलरुप से कुरीतियाँ मिटाकर सामाजिक बुराइयों से अलग स्वस्थ ,सुंदर, सामाजिकता की परंपरा ही साहित्य का उद्देश्य है।सा-सहित,हित्-हितकारी,य-यत्न पूर्वक।यानि समाज के लिये हितकारी यत्नपूर्वक हित सहित जो मानव ,समाज के लिये जीवन को सहज ,सरल बनाये वही कला साहित्य का उद्देएश्य है।साहित्य में मानव जीवन के सद्विचार ,भाव निहित होते हैं।ऐसे भाव जिनका उद्देश्य जीवन,समाज में व्याप्त कुरुपताओ,रुढ़ियों,दुष्प्रभावों विसंगतियों को को मिटाना है।केवल रस या आनंद प्राप्ति अथवा मनोरंजन मात्र ही साहित्य का उद्देश्य नहीं है।स्वस्थ मन ,दिमाग वाला व्यक्ति हर जगह सौंदर्य और रस खोज लेता है।साहित्य का उद्देश्य है कि वह  समाज की रूढ़ियों,विसंगतियों को नीति उपदेश के साथ  मित्र ,प्रिय के समान मिष्ट बातों द्वारा कलात्मक,सहज,सरल भावपूर्ण शब्दों में बताये और परिवर्तन के लिये प्रेरित करे।इसी लिये साहित्य को समाज का दर्पण कहा जाता है।जहाँ समाज में उपजी कलुषता ,विसंगतियों,,अपराधों को इंगित कर उनका निराकरण किया जाता है।एक दिशाबोध दिया जाता है।यही साहित्य का उद्देश्य है। फिर चाहे वह आलोचना हो, व्याख्या हो कथा हो काव्य हो हर धारा दर्पणवत् समाज का चेहरा सामने लाता है।साहित्य मनोरंजन के साथ कल्याण और निर्माण की भावना को भी साथ लेकर चलता है।फ्रांस की क्रांति,रुस की क्रांति,भारत की क्रांति ..सभी के मूल में साहित्य  का प्रभाव था। जब भी जहाँ भी कुछ क्रांतिकारी परिवर्तन हुये ,साहित्य ही सहयोगी रहा।जीवन की सड़ी गली परंपराओं,रुढ़ियों,हीनताओं से जीवन को निकालना ही साहित्य का उद्देश्य हमेशा से रहा है।अर्थात्  मनोरंजक तरीके से मानव समाज के हितार्थ ,शुभकारी,लौकिक पारलौकिक मुक्ति ,साहित्य का चरम  उद्देश्य कहा जा सकता है।जो जीवन को प्रभावित करने वाले व्यवहारिक सत्य हैं उन्हें रोचक ढंग से अभिव्यक्त करना और मानव या व्यक्ति अथवा पाठक को उस से परिचित करा के परिवर्तन करना ही साहित्य का उद्देश्य है ।

*सिझनल देशभक्ती*अधून मधून येतात आम्हालादेशप्रेमाचे उमाळे अन्राष्ट्रभक्तीचे झटके...क्रिकेट मॅच जिंकली की ,अतिरेकी हल्ला झाला की,अचानक नैसर्गिक आपत्ती उद्भवली की,सरकारला धारेवर धरायची वेळ आली की,*१५ ऑगस्ट आणि २६ जानेवारी आले की*,आणि 'आपले' सणवार आले की...मग आम्हाला आठवतात -प्रदूषण, अपव्यय या शब्दांचे अर्थ,आणि श्रद्धा - अंधश्रद्धा यांचं द्वंद्व....इतर वेळी आम्हाला शेजारी काय घडतंययाचीही पर्वा नसते,अथवा आपले संरक्षण मंत्री कोण याचीहीकल्पना नसते..सिग्नल तोडताना, रस्त्यावर थुंकतानाकचरा फेकताना, सार्वजनिक ठिकाणी गैरवर्तन करतानाअपघात झाला तरी निघून जाताना,राष्ट्रगीत सुरू झालं तरी न उठण्याचा उद्दामपणा करताना,रस्त्यावर पडलेला राष्ट्रध्वज न उचलता निघून जाताना..आम्हाला देशप्रेम आठवत नसते..आपले रक्षण करणा-या सैनिकांवर हल्ला करताना हे देशप्रेम गायब असते...पावसाळ्यात उगवणा-या भूछत्र्यांसारखंआमचं हे सिझनल देशप्रेम-तेवढंच उगवतं आणि विरून जातं..आणि '*दाखवायला* ' मात्र आम्हीफार मोठे देशभक्त असतो -*सिझनल* !!!© सौ . मंजुषा थावरे (९८८१६९३९८३)

હજીતો ગઈકાલ રાતની જ વાત છે ૧૪ ઓગસ્ટ, ઘણા સમય પછી હું ખુશ હતો, ના.... ના..... આઝાદીનો દિવસ હતો એટલે નહી પણ રજા મળવાની હતી ને એટલે, પ્રાઇવેટ સેક્ટરમાં કામ કરનાર મ્હારા જેવા ઘણા લોકો પણ મ્હારા જેવી જ અનુભૂતિ કરતા હશે અને કદાચ વિચારતા પણ હશે કે દર મહીને એક આઝાદી દિવસ આવો જોઈએ. મસ્ત પથારી એ.સી. ની ઠંડી હવા અને કાનમાં ભૂંગળા ભરવી મોબાઈલનાં નાનકડા પડદા ઊપર મુવી જોવાની પૂરી તૈયારી થઇ ગઈ હતી, કારણ કાલે રજા હોવાના ઉમળકામાં જે રોજ જલ્દી આવી જતી હતી એ આજે આવવાની તો હતી જ નહી મોડી રાત સુધી ........... “ઊંઘ”.હજી તો મુવીના નંબરીયા પડ્યા અને બાજુમાં કમ્પુટરમાં સાહિત્યિક કામ કરી રહેલા મારા પપ્પા મારી સામે જોઈ ને કઇક બોલ્યા પણ કાનમાં લાગેલા ભૂંગળાએ એમનો અવાજ મ્હારા સુધી પહોચવા ના દીધો,મુવી તો થોડી વાર પછી પણ જોવાશે એવું વિચારી પપ્પાની વાત સંભાળવા મેં કાન પરના ભૂંગળાને સરકાવી વાત શરુ કરી “શું કહ્યું પપ્પા” પપ્પા એ હસતાં હસતાં કહ્યું “આઝાદી મ્હારા કરતા માત્ર એક જ વર્ષ મોટી , હું ૧૯૪૮ માં અને એ ૧૯૪૭” હું જરાક હસી પડ્યો પપ્પાની વાત સાંભળીને, મ્હારો અને મ્હારા પપ્પા વચ્ચેનો સબંધ એક મિત્ર જેવો, હું એમને મ્હારા મનની બધી જ વાતો અચૂક કહું અને એ મને એક સાચા મિત્ર તરીકે સલાહ પણ આપે અને હું એને અનુસરું પણ ખરો, હા ઘણી વખત ખુબ લાંબી ચર્ચા પણ થઇ જાય કોક વાર શાંત ચર્ચા તો વળી કોક વાર ઉગ્ર ચર્ચા.મને હસતો જોઈ પપ્પા એ પૂછ્યું “કેમ હસે છે ? આઝાદી કરતા હું નાનો છું એટલે ?” મેં કહ્યું “નાં નાં પપ્પા મને તો ખબર જ નથી આઝાદી એટલે શું ,ખાલી ચોપડીઓના મોટા મોટા લખાણોમાં જોઈ છે પણ વાસ્તવમાં ક્યારે પણ જોઈ કે અનુભવી નથી.” “અચ્છા તો મને એમ કહીશ કે કાલની રજા કયા પર્વ નીમીત્તેની છે” મને જરાક દેશભક્તિની સમજણ આપવાના મુડ માં હોય એવી રીતે બોલ્યા “જો પપ્પા હું કોઈ દેશ ભક્તિ વાળો માણસ છું નહી ખોટા ખોટા એક દિવસ માટે મ્હારો દેશ......,જયહિન્દ....આવા બધા ખોટા દેખાવો કરવામાં હું તો જરાય માનતો નથી અને વાત રહી રજા ની તો ઓફીસ વાળા આઝાદી દિવસ નાં નામની રજા આપે છે તો આપણે લઇ લઇએ છે....બાકી મને કોઈ આવા કામમાં રસ નથી” “તું બોલે છે આવું” નવાઈ ભરેલી નજરે બોલ્યા “યાદ છે તને જયારે સ્કુલમાં હતો ત્યારે તો સવારમાં વહેલો ઉઠીને ધ્વજવંદન કરવા જતો અને યાદ છે તું જયારે માત્ર ૩ વર્ષનો હતો ત્યારે વેશભૂષામાં નેતા બન્યો હતો,બસ હમણાં થોડાક વર્ષોમાં જ તું બદલવા લાગ્યો છે” “બાળક હતો પપ્પા ત્યારે, આ દુનિયાદારીને આ દેશને સમજી નહતો શકતો,જે લોકો કહે બસ એ જ સંભાળતો અને એ સઘળું સાચું જ છે એવું માંની લેતો હતો, પણ સમય પ્રમાણે દરેક વ્યક્તિમાં સાચી સમજણ આપોઆપ આવી જાય છે પછી તે સાચું શું અને ખોટું શું એનો ફરક સમજી શકતો હોય છે” ચર્ચાનું સ્વરૂપ ગંભીર બનાવતા મેં કહ્યું “સારું પપ્પા હું આદર કરું છું આપણા દેશનો પણ મને માત્ર તમે એક વાત સમજાવો આઝાદી એટલે શું ?” “આજથી ૭૨ વર્ષ પહેલા આપણો દેશ આ દિવસે અંગ્રેજોની ગુલામી માંથી આઝાદ થયો હતો” “એકદમ સાચી વાત પપ્પા” મેં પપ્પાની વાતને અધવચ્ચે અટકાવી “આપણે આ દિવસે આજથી ૭૨ વર્ષ પહેલા માત્ર અંગ્રેજોની ગુલામી માંથી જ આઝાદ થયા હતા,બાકી હજી પણ આપણે ગુલામ જ છે ભ્રષ્ટાચાર,કૌભાંડો,લુંટ,કોમી રમખાણો,આતંકવાદ જેવી માનસિકતામાં માનતા લોકોના અને આજ કાલ તો નવું આવ્યું છે ‘સાહેબની’ ક્રાંતિ પછી “સાઈબર ક્રાઈમ”,“જો ત્હારે જે બોલવું હોય એ બોલ પણ ‘સાહેબ’ વિષે એક પણ ખોટું વાક્ય મ્હારી સામે નાં બોલીશ” ‘સાહેબનાં’ ઉપાસક ઉગ્ર અવાજમાં બોલ્યા “અરે પપ્પા હું ‘સાહેબનો’ વિરોધી નથી હું તો બસ આ દેશની જે કટાઈ ગયેલી કડીઓ છે ને જે સરકારની મદદને ગરીબો સુધી કે જનતા સુધી પહોચવા નથી દેતી એનો વિરોધી છું,આખી દુનિયાને બતાવવા માત્ર એક દિવસ માટે ટીવી ઉપર જય હિન્દ, જય ભારત, શહીદો અમર રહો ,અને બીજા અનેક જાત નાં પ્રવચનો આપશે અને પછી બીજા દિવસ થી હું કોણ ને દેશ કોણ બસ પોત પોતા નાં કામ માં લાગી જશે, પપ્પા ગાલ પર તિરંગો દોરી ને દેશ ભક્તિના એક બે ગીતો ગાવાથી દેશ ભક્તિ સાબિત કરવાનો આ રસ્તો બહુ સહેલો છે,આપણે માત્ર અંગ્રેજોની ગુલામી માંથી આઝાદ થયા છે પણ આ બધી ગુલામી માંથી આઝાદ થવું હશે ને તો એમાં માત્ર જવાનો કઈ નહી કરી શકે કારણ કે એ દેશ બહાર નાં દુશ્મનો સામે લઢે છે પણ દેશની અંદર રહેલા દુશ્મનો નો સામનો કરવો હશે અને એની ગુલામી માંથી જો મુક્ત થવું હશે ને તો એતો આપણે બધા એ જ ભેગાં થઇ ને કરવું પડશે એના વગર તો આપણો દેશ ક્યારે પણ આઝાદ નહી થાય” બે મિનીટ નીરવ શાંતી રહી મને લાગ્યું કે મ્હારે આટલું બધું નહોતું બોલવું જોઈતું,મ્હારી સામે જોઈ હળવા સ્મિત સાથે પાપા બોલ્યા “વાત સાચી છે,જ્યાં સુધી લોકો નહી સમજે ત્યાં સુધી દેશ આઝાદ નહી જ થઇ શકે ,પણ હાલમાં જ જોયું આપણે રસ્તાઓ અને દબાણનાં કામમાં આપણા શહેરની પોલીસને લોકોનો જે સહકાર મળ્યો છે અને એને કારણે જે ટ્રાફિકનીસમસ્યામાં જે મોટા ફેરફારો જોવા મળ્યા છે એ નજર અંદાજ નાં જ કરી શકાય” “બહુ સાચી વાત સાચે ખુબજ આનંદ થયો કે આપણા લોકોનો સખત સહકાર મળ્યો,મને જરાક વહેલી સમજણ પડી ગઈ સાચા ખોટાની અને આપણા લોકો ને હવે પડે છે ધીમે ધીમે પણ જરૂર આપણે આઝાદ થઈશું ક્યારે એ કહેવું અઘરું છે પણ લોકો આવો જ સહકાર આપશે તો બહુ જલ્દી આઝાદ થઈશું” “સારું ચલ હવે સુઈ જા કાલે સવારે સોસાયટીમાં ધ્વજવંદન માટે જવાનું છે” બન્નેના મોઢાં પર એક સરખું આનંદિત સ્મિત છવાઈ ગયું.- માનાર્થ રક્ષિત દવે- ૧૫-૦૮-૨૦૧૮

(ସପ୍ରେମ ଜୟ ଜୀବ )1. ଯେ ଅନ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ ସେ ଅନନ୍ୟ ଅଟେ। ନିଜ କୁ ଛାଡି ଦେଲେ ବାକି ସବୁ ଅନ୍ୟ। ନିଜର ଜୀବ ନିଜର ଆତ୍ମା ଅନନ୍ୟ ଅଟେ।2. ଯେ ଆତ୍ମା ର ଉପାସନା କରେ ନିତ୍ୟ ଯୁକ୍ତ, ଏହି ଉପାସକର ଏହି ଅହମ୍ ହିଁ ଯୋଗ କ୍ଷମ କରେ।3. ଆମେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକ ସହିତ ମିଳିତ ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ କେବେ କେବେ ଅଲଗା ହେଇଯାଉ। କିନ୍ତୁ ନିଜେ ନିଜ ସହ ନିତ୍ୟ ଯୁକ୍ତ ଅଟୁ।4. ଯେ ଆତ୍ମା ର ଉପାସନା କରିବା ପରେ ଯୋଗ କ୍ଷମ ର ଅଧିକାରି ହୋଇଥାଏ, ସେ ଅହମ୍ ଅଟେ।5. ସବୁ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯେ ଜୀବ ରୂପରେ ଜୀବନ ଅଛି, ତାହା ମୁଁ ଅଟେ।ଏଥିରୁ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଯେ ଆତ୍ମା ର ଅନ୍ୟ ନାମ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅହମ୍ ଅଟେ।6.ନିଜେ ଯାହା କିଛି ପାଇଛ ସବୁ ନିଜର ପରିଶ୍ରମ, ବୁଦ୍ଧି ବଳ, ଶୁଭଭାବନା, ଜ୍ଞାନ,  କର୍ମ, ଆତ୍ମ  ବଳ , ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧା, ଇଛାଶକ୍ତି,  ବିଶ୍ଵାସ ର ଫଳ।7.ସ୍ବାବଲମ୍ବି ହୁଅ ନିଜ କର୍ମ ଉପରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ରଖ। ଈଶ୍ଵର ଭରସା ରେ ରହିବା ଲୋକ କିଛି କରିପାରେନାହିଁ।8. କାଳ୍ପନିକ ଈଶ୍ଵର ର ଅସ୍ତିତ୍ବ କେବଳ କଳ୍ପନାରେ ପୋଥି, ପୁରାଣ ଛଡା ଅନ୍ୟ କେଉଁଠାରେ ନାହିଁ।9. ଆତ୍ମା ଦ୍ବାରା ଏ ଜୀବ ସ୍ବୟଂ ନିଜର ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରେ ଏହା ସତ କଥା ଯେ ନିଜ ଆତ୍ମା ର ସହାୟକ ନିଜେ ଅଟେ। ଯଦି ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ର ଭରସା ଓ ଆଶା ଛାଡି ନିଜ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ର ଯତ୍ନ କରେ।10.ଯେ ସ୍ବାବଲମ୍ବି ନହୋଇ ଅନ୍ୟର ଭରସା ରେ ରହି ନିଜର ଉଦ୍ଧାର ସ୍ବୟଂ କରେନାହିଁ ସେ ସ୍ବୟଂ ନିଜର ଶତ୍ରୁ ଅଟେ।11. ଆତ୍ମା ଉପାସନା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆତ୍ମା ର ସାକ୍ଷାତକାର ନିଜର ଆତ୍ମ ଶକ୍ତି ର ଆତ୍ମ ବଳ ଓ ମନବଳ ର ଜ୍ଞାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ କରି ଓ ତାହାର ପ୍ରୟୋଗ ର ବିଧି ଜାଣି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ନିଜ ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ଶାରୀରିକ ଓ ମାନସିକ ଉନ୍ନତି କରି ଜୀବନ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇଯାଏ।12. ଯାହାକୁ ପାଇବାର ଇଛା ତାହା ପାଇବାକୁ ଯୋଗ କୁହାଯାଏ।13.ଗୀତାରେ ବହୁତ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଭାବରେ ଏ ଜୀବ ଆତ୍ମା କୁ ଈଶ୍ଵର, ପରମାତ୍ମା, କୃଷ୍ଣ, ବାସୁଦେବ ଓ ଭଗବାନ କୁହାଯାଇଛି । ଗୀତା ଅନୁସାରେ ଏପରି ଯେତେ ଶବ୍ଦ ଅଛି, ସବୁ ଜୀବ ବା ଆତ୍ମା ର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟ ଭୁକ୍ତ ଅଟେ।14.ଈଶ୍ଵର କଳ୍ପନା, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ କରେ, ଭୋଗେ, ଏଣୁ ଜୀବ ର ଅନ୍ୟ ନାମ ଭୋକ୍ତା ଅଟେ।15. ମୋର ଅତି ନିକଟରେ ମୋର ଜୀବ ହିଁ ବିଦ୍ୟମାନ ।ଏଣୁ ଜୀବକୁ ହିଁ ଉପଦ୍ରଷ୍ଟା ଭାବରେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ଯଥାର୍ଥ ଅଟେ।16. ଗୀତା ର ଶ୍ଳୋକ ରୁ ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ହେଇଛି ଯେ ଗୀତାର ରଚୟିତା ଉପଦ୍ରଷ୍ଟା, ଅନୁମନ୍ତା, ଭୋକ୍ତା, ମହେଶ୍ୱର, ପରମ ପୁରୁଷ ପରମାତ୍ମା ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ଏ ଜୀବ କୁ ମାନୁଥିଲେ। ଯେ କି ଆମ ଦେହରେ ରହିଛନ୍ତି।17. ଗୀତାର ରଚୟିତା ଜୀବ ବା ଆତ୍ମା ଛଡା ଅନ୍ୟ କୌଣସି କାଳ୍ପନିକ ଈଶ୍ଵର ର ଅସ୍ତିତ୍ବ ମାନି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି।

ଉତ୍କଳ ମାତାର ଯୋଗ୍ୟତମ ସୁତ----------------------------------(ଆସନ୍ତା ମାସରେ ପାଳିତ ହେବାକୁ ଯାଉଥିବା ସାମନ୍ତ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖରଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମତିଥି ଉପଲକ୍ଷେ)-------------------------------------------------------------ବିଶ୍ଵପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଜ୍ୟୋତିର୍ବିଦ ପୁଣ୍ୟଶ୍ଳୋକ ମହାମହୋପାଧ୍ୟାୟ ସାମନ୍ତ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖର ସିଂହ ହରିଚନ୍ଦନ ମହାପାତ୍ର ଓଡିଶାର ଗର୍ବ ଓ ଗୌରବ ଅଟନ୍ତି।ସର୍ବସାଧାରଣରେ ସେ ପଠାଣି ସାମନ୍ତ ନାମରେ ପରିଚିତ।1835 ମସିହା ଡିସେମ୍ବର ମାସ 13 ତାରିଖରେ ସେ ତତ୍କାଳୀନ ଗଡଜାତ ଖଣ୍ଡପଡାରେ ରାଜବଂଶରେ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ।ଖଣ୍ଡପଡାରେ ବଘେଲ ବଂଶୀୟ ରାଜାମାନେ 1599 ମସିହାରୁ ଶାସନକରିଆସୁଥିଲେ।ସାମନ୍ତ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖର ଏହି ବଘେଲ ବଂଶର ସପ୍ତମ ରାଜା ନୃସିଂହ ଭ୍ରମରବରଙ୍କର ଷଷ୍ଠପୁତ୍ର ଶ୍ୟାମବନ୍ଧୁ ସିଂହଙ୍କର ଏକମାତ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ।ମାତାଙ୍କ ନାମ ଥିଲା ବିଷ୍ଣୁମାଳୀ ଦେବୀ।ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଦୁଇଟି କନ୍ୟା ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ପୁତ୍ର ହରାଇଥିବା ବିଷ୍ଣୁମାଳୀ ଦେବୀ ସର୍ବଦା ନବଜାତକର ଦୀର୍ଘାୟୁ ଚିନ୍ତାରେ ରହୁଥିଲେ।ଅପର୍ତ୍ତ୍ୟାଣି(ଅପତ୍ୟହାନୀ) ନାମ ଦେଲେ ଯମ ବାଳକପ୍ରତି ଲୋଭାନ୍ୱିତ ହେବନାହିଁ ଭାବି ବିଷ୍ଣୁମାଳୀ ଦେବୀ ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ପଠାଣ କେଳାକୁ ଯତ୍ସାମାନ୍ୟ ଅର୍ଥରେ ବିକ୍ରି କରିଦେଇ "ପଠାଣି"ନାମରେ ନାମିତ କରିଥିଲେ।ବାଲ୍ୟକାଳରୁ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖରଙ୍କର ବିଲକ୍ଷଣ ପ୍ରତିଭାର ପରିଚୟ ମିଳିଥିଲା।ଅଧିକାଂଶ ସମୟ ସେ ଆକାଶକୁ ଅନାଇଁ ରହୁଥିଲେ।ଥରେ ଦିନବେଳେ ଆକାଶରେ ଖାଲି ଆଖିରେ ତାରାଟିଏ ତାଙ୍କର ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚର ହେବାରୁ ,ଗ୍ରହଦୋଷ ଲାଗିବା ଆଶଂକାକରି ପିତା ଶ୍ୟମବଂଧୁ ନୈଷ୍ଠିକ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣଙ୍କଦ୍ୱାରା ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ହୋମ କରାଇ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରପାଠ ଇତ୍ୟାଦି କରାଇ ଥିଲେ।ସେତେବେଳେ ଖଣ୍ଡପଡାରେ କୌଣସି ଇଁରାଜୀ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ନଥିଲା।କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସମୟର ଶିକ୍ଷାର ମାନଦଣ୍ଡ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖର ସଂସ୍କୃତ ଓ ସାହିତ୍ୟରେ ସର୍ବୋଚ୍ଚ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପାଇଥିଲେ।ସଂସ୍କାରର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିମନ୍ତ ଅବତାର ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଶେଖର ସମସ୍ତ ଦେବୋପମ ଚରିତ୍ରର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଥିଲେ।ଗାଦିସୀନରାଜାଙ୍କର ଷଷ୍ଠ ପୁତ୍ରର ପୁତ୍ର ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ସେ ରାଜା ହୋଇ ପାରିନଥିଲେ।ତାଙ୍କ ପୁତୁରା ତଥା ରାଜା କୁଞ୍ଜବିହାରୀ ସିଂହଙ୍କ କନିଷ୍ଠ ଭ୍ରାତା ନଟବର ସିଂହଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ରିଟିଶ୍ ସରକାର ଗାଦିସୀନ କରିଥିଲେ।ରାଜମୁକୁଟରୁ ବଂଚିତ ଏହି ମୁକୁଟହୀନରାଜପୁତ୍ର ,ଜ୍ୟୋତିର୍ବିଜ୍ଞାନର ଜାଜ୍ବଲ୍ଯମାନ ସମ୍ମାନମୁକୁଟରେ ବିମଣ୍ଡିତହୋଇ ଦିନେ ବିଶ୍ୱଦରବାରରେ ଓଡିଆର ବିଦ୍ମତା,ଅସ୍ମିତା ଓ ସଂସ୍କୃତିର ପ୍ରତୀକ ହୋଇଥିଲେ।କବିବର ରାଧାନାଥଙ୍କ ଉକ୍ତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଉତ୍କଳର ଏହି ଯୋଗ୍ୟତମ ସନ୍ତାନଙ୍କ ଯୋଗୁଁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ପବିତ୍ର ହେଲୁ।ବିଶ୍ୱଦରବାରରେ ଉତ୍କଳର ଖ୍ୟାତି ବଢିଲା।ଓଡିଆ ଭାଷାର ସ୍ଥିତି ଓ ଜାତିର ଅସ୍ମିତା ଉପରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନଚିହ୍ନ ଲାଗିଯାଇଥିଲା ଏବଂ ଯେତେବେଳେ ପଡୋଶୀ ରାଜ୍ୟ "ଓଡିଆ ଏକଟୁ ଭାଷା ନଏ" ବୋଲି ଚିତ୍କାର କରୁଥିଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ଓଡିଆଜାତି ତାର ଏକ ସମ୍ମାନଜନକ ପରିଚୟ ଖୋଜିବାରେ ଲାଗିଥିଲା।ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କର "ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ଦର୍ପଣ" ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥ ଓଡିଆ ଜାତିକୁ ସେହି ସମ୍ମାନଜନକ ପରିଚୟ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲା।ସେଥିପାଇଁ ପଠାଣି ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କ କଥା ପଡିଲେ ,କବିବର ରାଧାନାଥଙ୍କ କାଳଜୟୀ ବାଣୀ "ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ଦର୍ପଣ ହେବନାହିଁ ଲୟ,ନର ଦେହେ ଥିବ ଯାବତ ହୃଦୟ"ସ୍ୱତଃ ମନେପଡେ।ପାଶ୍ଚାତ୍ୟ ବୈଜ୍ଞାନିକମାନଙ୍କର "ସୌରକୈନ୍ଦ୍ରିକ" ଗ୍ରହମଣ୍ଡଳ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣନ ତଥ୍ୟକୁ ସମର୍ଥନ ନକରି ସାମନ୍ତ 'ପୃଥିବୀକୈନ୍ଦ୍ରିକ' ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣନ ତଥ୍ୟ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ବଳିଷ୍ଠ ଯୁକ୍ତି ବାଢିଥିଲେ।ଏଭଳି ଯୁକ୍ତି ତାଙ୍କର "ଦୃକସିଦ୍ଧ"ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ଉପରେ ପର୍ଯ୍ଯବସିତ ଥିଲା।ରାତି ରାତି ଅନିଦ୍ରା ରହି ,ଦୁଇଖଣ୍ଡ କାଠି(ମାନଯନ୍ତ୍ର) ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ସେ ଆକାଶ ମଣ୍ଡଳରେ ଯାହା ନିଜ ଆଖିରେ  ଦେଖୁଥିଲେ ,ସେ ଅନୁସାରେ ଗ୍ରହ ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର ମାନଙ୍କର ସ୍ଥିତି ଓ ଗତି ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧାରଣ କରୁଥିଲେ।ଏହି ମହାକାଶୀୟ ଗବେଷଣାପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ କୌଣସି ଆଧୁନିକ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରପାତି ନଥିଲା।14 ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରୁ ସେ ଏହି ଗବେଷଣା ଆରମ୍ଭକରି 34ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ ପର୍ଯ୍ଯନ୍ତ ତାଙ୍କର ଗବେଷଣାର ବିବରଣୀ  ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧକରି ଚାଲିଥିଲେ।ଦୀର୍ଘ କୋଡିଏ ବର୍ଷପରେ ତାହା 2500 ଶ୍ଳୋକବିଶିଷ୍ଟ "ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ଦର୍ପଣ"ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥରେ ପରିଣତ ହେଲା।ବାସ୍ତବରେ ପଠାଣି ସାମନ୍ତ ତାଙ୍କ ଗବେଷଣା, ଗ୍ରହମାନଙ୍କର ପୃଥିବୀ କୈନ୍ଦ୍ରିକ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣନ ତଥ୍ୟକୁ ପ୍ରତିପାଦିତ କରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ କରୁନଥିଲେ।ତାଙ୍କ ଗବେଷଣାର ଲକ୍ଷଥିଲା , ଦୃକସିଦ୍ଧ ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ଅନୁସାରେ,ସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମଗଣନାକରି ପୂର୍ବସୂରୀମାନଙ୍କଦ୍ୱାରା ପଞ୍ଜୀକାରେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧାରିତ(ସ୍ଥୁଳ ଗଣନା ଅନୁସାରେ) ଭୁଲକୁ ସୁଧାରିବା।ପିତା ଶ୍ୟାମବନ୍ଧୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପିଲାଦିନୁ ସେ ଫଳିତ ଜ୍ୟୋତିଷରେ ସମ୍ୟକ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଆହରଣ କରିଥିଲେ।ସେଥିରୁ ସେ ଜାଣିପାରିଥଲେ ଯେ ସ୍ୱଚକ୍ଷୁରେ ଗ୍ରହ ଓ ନକ୍ଷତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ଗତି ଓ ସ୍ଥିତି ଦେଖି ଯେଉଁ ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ମିଳୁଛି ତାହା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଜ୍ୟୋତିର୍ବିଦ ମାନଙ୍କଦ୍ୱାରା ହୋଇଥିବା ଗଣନାଠାରୁ ପୃଥକ।ଫଳରେ ପୁରାତନ ପଞ୍ଜୀକାରେ ଥିବା ଦିନ, ଦଣ୍ଡ, ଲିତା ଆଦିରେ ପ୍ରଭେଦ ତଥା ଭୁଲ୍ ଦେଖାଯାଉଛି।ଫଳତଃ ପାଞ୍ଜି ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରୁଥିବା ହିନ୍ଦୁ ସମାଜ ପର୍ବପର୍ବାଣୀ ଏବଂ ବିବାହ ବ୍ରତ ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ସଠିକ ତିଥିରେ କରିପାରୁନାହାଁନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ଘୋର ବିଭ୍ରାଟର ସମ୍ମୁଖୀନ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି।ଦୀର୍ଘ କୋଡିଏ ବର୍ଷର ଅଧ୍ୟବସାୟକରି ସାମନ୍ତ ଯେଉଁ ନିର୍ଭୁଲ ଗଣନା କରିଗଲେ ତାର ଫଳସ୍ୱରୂପ ଆଗାମୀ ଦଶହଜାର ବର୍ଷପାଇଁ ବିଶୁଦ୍ଧ ପଞ୍ଜିକା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରାଯାଇପାରିବ।ପ୍ରତି ଓଡିଆର ପ୍ରାଣକେନ୍ଦ୍ର ପ୍ରଭୁ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ନୀତିନିୟମ ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କ ଗଣନାପ୍ରସୂତ ପଞ୍ଜୀକା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ କରାଯାଉଛି।ଏହା ମୁକ୍ତିମଣ୍ଡପଦ୍ୱାରା ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ।ଜଗତ୍ପତି ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କର ପରମଭକ୍ତ ପଠାଣି ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କପାଇଁ ଏହା ସର୍ବୋଚ୍ଚ ସମ୍ମାନ କୁହାଯାଇପାରେ।ଏହି ମହାନ ପ୍ରତିଭା ଯେବେ ମଞ୍ଜୁଷା ଗଡର ରାଜାସାହେବ ରାଜମଣିଦେବଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିକୁ ଆସିନଥାନ୍ତେ,ତାହେଲେ ହୁଏତ ବଣମଲ୍ଲୀସଦୃଶ ବଣରେ ଝଡିଯାଇଥାଆନ୍ତେ।ଖଣ୍ଡପଡାର ତତ୍କାଳୀନ ରାଜା ନଟବର ସିଂହଙ୍କ ବିବାହ ଉତ୍ସବରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେବାପାଇଁ ,ବରଯାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କମେଳରେ ସେ ପାରିକୁଦ ଯାଇଥାଆନ୍ତି।ସେତେବେଳକୁ ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କର ଗଣିତଜ୍ୟୋତିଷ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଉପରେ ଅଳ୍ପେବହୁତେ ଓଡିଶାର ଗଣ୍ୟମାନ୍ୟ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନେ ଜାଣି ସାରିଲେଣି।ସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ ଦର୍ପଣର ପ୍ରଣୟନ ହୋଇ ସାରିଲାଣି।ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କର ସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମସିଦ୍ଧାନ୍ତ  ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆଲୋଚନା ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେଲାଣି।ମାନଦଣ୍ଡ ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ସାମନ୍ତ କିପରି ପାହାଡ ପର୍ବତ ଓ ବୃକ୍ଷ ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ଦୂରରୁ ମାପି ପାରୁଥିଲେ, ସେକଥା ମଧ୍ୟ ଅଜଣା ନଥିଲା।ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କ ପାଣ୍ଡିତ୍ଯର ପରିଚୟ ପାଇ,ମଞ୍ଜୁଷା ଗଡର ରାଜା ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ରାଜମଣିଦେବ, ସାମନ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ମଞ୍ଜୁଷାକୁ ପାଛୋଟିନେଲେ।ସେଠାରେ ମହେନ୍ଦ୍ର ପର୍ବତର ଉଚ୍ଚତା ସାମନ୍ତ ନିର୍ଭୁଲ ଭାବରେ शरीर मन्दिर में मुख्य देबता आत्माराम है।स्तूल पंच भूत_ अग्नि, वायु जल, आकाश पृथ्वी यह स्थूल पंच भूत में शरीर गढा है। सूक्ष्म पंच महा भूत मुलाधार-पृथ्वी तत्व स्वाधिष्ठान जल तत्व , मणिपुर- अग्नि तत्व, अनाहत_ वायु तत्व , विशुद्ध - आकाश तत्व- ये दस देबताऍ है।शरीर में दस वायु है। _मुख्य वायु पांच _ प्राण , अपना, ब्यान, उदान, समानगौण वायु - नाग, कुम॔ , देबदत्त, धनंजय, कृकलये बीस होगए।दस इन्द्रियाँ है। -मुख्य दो आँख, दो कान , जीभ और त्वचा। नाक ज्ञानेन्द्रिय यह पांच है।कम॔न्द्रीय- पांच - दो हाथ में इन्द्र दोनों पाँव में- बिष्णु,मल द्वार, उपस्त बाक् शक्ति हो गये 30।31_ मन_ राम,32- बुद्धि _ सरस्वती,33- अहंकार _ शिवआत्मा राम इस सभीको सजाके अन्दर में बैठी हैइसलिए शरीर को देवालय बोला जाता है।शरीर में दस वायु है।हमारा शरीर एक मंदिर है। इस शरीर में 33 गोटिदेबता है। यों सात समुन्दर, सात पर्वत सात ॠषियों सब के सब बैठे हैं।हमारा ये दोनों कान, दाहिने गौतम और बाएँ भरद्वाज ॠषि बैठे हैं। ये दोनों ऑखे दाहिने बिश्वमित्र बाऍ जमदाग्नी है। ये दोनों नाक के छिद्र दाहिने वशिष्ठ बाऍ कश्यप हुऍ है। जो ब्रह्म को कथा सुनाते हैं और खाते हैं। जिस प्रकार कथा जिह्वा से होती है भोजन भी जिह्वा से होती है और संस्कृत में जो खाता है उसे अत्रि भी कहते हैं। इस प्रकार जो बिश्वासकरता है, वह सब भोजनो का करने का अधिकार हो जाता है। सब भोग उसे मिलते हैं।

મારા આખા દિવસ દરમિયાન મારે માટે સવારની પહેલી ચા નું ખાસ મહત્વ છે. જ્યારે ઘરનાં બીજા સદસ્ય હજી મીઠી નિંદ્રા માણતા હોય ત્યારે તમે તમારી મનગમતી એક પ્યાલી ચા ની મઝા માણી શકો.કારણકે પછી તમારે પરિવાર ની પસંદગી પ્રમાણે ચા બનાવવી પડે છે. સવારમાં પોણા છ વાગે જ્યાં હજી પ્હો ફાટવાને વાર હોય ત્યાં ચા ગેસ પર મુકાય જાય. ઉકળતા પાણીમાં ચા ની ભુકી સાથે આદુ, લીલી ચા ની પત્તી અને મસાલો નાંખતા જ સરસ સોડમ આવવા માંડે.સાવ મોળી અને ઓછું દૂધ નાંખી ઊભરો આવતા સુધીમાં દિવસ દરમિયાન કરવાના કાર્યો નું લીસ્ટ મનમાં રચાઇ જાય.પરોઢના શીતળ હવામાં તાજગી ભરી ચા ની ચુસ્કી લેતાં એક નવા દિવસ ની સુંદર શરુઆત માટે ઇશ્વરનો આભાર માનવાનું મન થાય. સૌની પસંદગી ને પ્રાધાન્ય આપવામાં આપણી અંગત ખુશી ને જીવંત રાખવા એક કપ સવારની ચા પુરતી છે.

The new year is all around and everyone is busy filling his or her journals and brainstorming with his or her goals and resolutions. There are infinite dimensions in which you can think about life and there are myriads of aspects in which you can define your goals and achievements. This 2019, I want to share a story that my grandmother has once read to me (a bit inclined to self-care goal). The story begins ...Once upon a time, there used to exist a village where people were not having access to the mirror. So, everyone can see other person but they don't exactly know how they themselves look?. Besides this, they were so much happy with their life that they never inquired about their appearance. There was a common assumption that we all are from the same species so we all are some versions of each other. There was a mutual understanding between self-ego and social ego.One dark night, a monk was crossing the village. Because of pitch dark night, he was not able to identify the hurdles in his path and after walking a while he felt some pricking pain in his foot. He understood that it might be some thorns, but to his bad omen, his foot started bleeding badly. Holding his foot with hands, he sat down under a tree as the pain was unbearable. After a while, he saw someone approaching him but as per the silhouette, it was a woman wearing all black robe from top to bottom. She had a first aid box in her hands. She sat down beside him and started dressing his wounds. The monk started observing her as if he wanted to know who is she? She had covered her whole body and face with black cloth except her eyes. He saw her eyes, it was magical full of positive energy and good vibes. But, the monk could see some scars in her eyes, some hidden scars. She did the dressing with full dedication and devotion, her work was full of compassion. The monk paid his gratitude for the service and blessed her with prosperity and happiness. Just out of curiosity he asked her-"Why have your covered yourself in a black robe from top to bottom?"She said - "Because I am ugly?"Monk - "How do you know? Who told you?"She - "Because I saw myself in the mirror."Monk - "But I have heard that people of this village don't have access to the mirror and that's the mystery which bridges their self-ego to the social ego. In fact, I have heard that the shadow of inferiority complex has not curbed anyone in this village."She - "Yes! that is true. We respect each other and we believe that all of us are equally beautiful. But one day when I went to another village, I couldn't resist myself from looking in the mirror. And then I discovered how ugly am I."After hearing this, the monk smiled and told her - " Please meet me tomorrow at the nearby sea bank. I have to give you some rewards for your help."The next day, she went to the sea bank, again in the same black robe. She could easily identify the monk sitting at the bank, facing towards the sea. As she walked near, the monk asked her to sit down beside him. Both of them sat for a moment in silence, just facing towards the sea and watching waves. When she couldn't suppress her inquisitiveness more, she asked him -"Why did you call me here?"Without answering her question, he asked her - "How do you define beauty?"She answered - "Something that soothes our eyes. Something that looks attractive and can grab our attention.""Okay! And this change in itself is their beauty. You cannot define something beautiful which keeps on changing or which is not permanent. I believe that the water is beautiful and hence its all formation or patterns including big and small waves are actually beautiful. You have to broaden your vision before classifying anything on the basis of their temporary appearance. Beauty is the quality that remains forever like the beauty of water. If you keep on looking yourself every single day then you will identify the change in your appearance and with time you will fall in love with this change. Appearance varies with time but there are certain qualities which remain with us forever and those are the qualities which define the beauty of each one of us. ગઇકાલે અમે એક નાની ઉડુપી માં નાસ્તો કરવા ગયા હતા. જગ્યા નાની પણ ભોજન ખુબજ સ્વાદિષ્ટ અને થોડી કોલાહલ વાળી. અમે બેઠાં અને થોડી વાર પછી એક મધ્યમ વર્ગીય પરિવાર બાજુના ટેબલ પર આવીને બેઠો.પાંત્રીસ ની આજુ બાજુ નો પતિ, એનાથી નાની પત્ની અને ચાર પાંચ  વર્ષ નો પુત્ર. કદાચ, રવિવાર ની એક સાંજ સાથે મળીને માણવા આવ્યા હશે. બેઠી દડીની પત્ની એ નવી સ્ટાઇલ નો પણ અણઘડ  ફીટીંગ વાળો ડ્રેસ પહેર્યો હતો. હોઠની બહાર નીકળી આવેલી લિપસ્ટિક કપડાં સાથે મેચિંગ નહોતી. પતિ નો પહેરવેશ પણ કંઈ એવો જ હતો.પાતળું અને મોઢા પર કરેલાં મેશના ટપકાં વાળું  બાળક ચંચળ હતું. બેઠા કે બાળકે ટેબલ પરની એક એક વસ્તુ હાથમાં લેવા માંડી. સોલ્ટ પેપર કંટેઇનર ને હાથમાં છાંટી જોયા,મેનુકાર્ડ ને ઉથલાવી જોયું...એક બાળસહજ કૂતુહલ અને કદી કદી જ મળતું હોટલનું જમવાનું ભાળી એ જરા વધારે ચંચળ થઈ ગયું. અમારા સૌના આશ્ચર્ય વચ્ચે મા એ સટાક સટાક બે તમાચા મેંશવાળા ગાલ પર મારી દીધા. પિતાએ પણ મા નો પક્ષ લઇ એની  ભાષા માં ખીજાઇ લીધું. અમે હતભ્રમ થઇ બાળક સામે જોતા રહી ગયા અને બાળક સાવ બિચારું બની અમારી સામે. માતાપિતા ને તો જાણે કંઈ બન્યું જ નથી એમ ઓર્ડર આપવામાં મશગૂલ થઈ ગયા. બાળક ની આંખમાં લટકી રહેલા બે અશ્રુ બિંદુ એ મારા ભોજનનો સ્વાદ હરી લીધો. આ કયા પ્રકારનું માતૃત્વ?માના વ્યાસ
